01-3:1 Now
the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had
made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye
shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
01-3:3 But
of the fruit of the tree which is in
the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall
not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
01-3:4 And
the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not
surely die:
01-3:5 For
God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof,
then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be
as gods, knowing good and evil.
01-4:23 And
Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have
slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
01-9:4 But
flesh with the life thereof, which is the
blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
01-9:7 And
you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth
abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
01-17:10 This
is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after
thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
01-17:11 And
ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin;
and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
01-18:5 And
I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye
your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for
therefore are ye come to your servant. And they
said, So do, as thou hast said.
01-19:2 And
he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house,
and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye
shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide
in the street all night.
01-19:8 Behold
now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring
them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these
men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
01-22:5 And
Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here
with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to
you.
01-24:49 And
now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my
master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to
the left.
01-26:27 And
Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me,
seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from
you?
01-29:4 And
Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be
ye? And they said, Of Haran are we.
01-29:5 And
he said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of
Nahor? And they said, We know him.
01-29:7 And
he said, Lo, it is yet high day,
neither is it time that the cattle
should be gathered together: water ye the sheep,
and go and feed them.
01-31:6 And
ye know that with all my power I have served
your father.
01-32:4 And
he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak
unto my lord Esau; Thy servant Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban,
and stayed there until now:
01-32:19 And
so commanded he the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves,
saying, On this manner shall ye speak unto Esau,
when ye find him.
01-32:20 And
say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will
appease him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his
face; peradventure he will accept of me.
01-34:9 And
make ye marriages with us, and give your daughters unto us, and take our daughters unto you.
01-34:10 And
ye shall dwell with us: and the land shall be
before you; dwell and trade ye therein, and get
you possessions therein.
01-34:11 And
Shechem said unto her father and unto her brethren, Let me find grace in your
eyes, and what ye shall say unto me I will give.
01-34:12 Ask
me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me: but give me the damsel to wife.
01-34:15 But
in this will we consent unto you: If ye will be
as we be, that every male of you be
circumcised;
01-34:17 But
if ye will not hearken unto us, to be
circumcised; then will we take our daughter, and we will be gone.
01-34:30 And
Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled
me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites
and the Perizzites: and I being few
in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I
shall be destroyed, I and my house.
01-40:7 And
he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with
him in the ward of his lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly
to day?
01-42:1 Now
when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?
01-42:7 And
Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them,
and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy
food.
01-42:9 And
Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies;
to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.
01-42:12 And
he said unto them, Nay, but to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.
01-42:14 And
Joseph said unto them, That is it that
I spake unto you, saying, Ye are spies:
01-42:15 Hereby
ye shall be proved: By the life of Pharaoh ye shall not go forth hence, except your youngest
brother come hither.
01-42:16 Send
one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye
shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by
the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.
01-42:19 If
ye be true
men, let one of your brethren be
bound in the house of your prison: go ye, carry
corn for the famine of your houses:
01-42:20 But
bring your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words be verified, and ye shall not die. And they did so.
01-42:22 And
Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against
the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold,
also his blood is required.
01-42:33 And
the man, the lord of the country, said unto us, Hereby shall I know that ye are true men; leave one of your brethren here with me, and take food for the famine of your households,
and be gone:
01-42:34 And
bring your youngest brother unto me: then shall I know that ye are no
spies, but that ye are true men: so will I deliver you your brother,
and ye shall traffick in the land.
01-42:36 And
Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye
bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.
01-42:38 And
he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is
left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in the which ye go, then shall ye
bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
01-43:3 And
Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.
01-43:5 But
if thou wilt not send him, we will
not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall
not see my face, except your brother be with
you.
01-43:6 And
Israel said, Wherefore dealt ye so ill with me, as to tell the man whether ye had
yet a brother?
01-43:7 And
they said, The man asked us straitly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have ye another brother?
and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know
that he would say, Bring your brother down?
01-43:27 And
he asked them of their welfare, and
said, Is your father well, the old
man of whom ye spake? Is he yet alive?
01-43:29 And
he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother’s son, and
said, Is this your younger brother,
of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, God be
gracious unto thee, my son.
01-44:4 And when they were gone out of the city,
and not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the
men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?
01-44:5 Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.
01-44:10 And
he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom
it is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be
blameless.
01-44:15 And
Joseph said unto them, What deed is this
that ye have done? wot ye
not that such a man as I can certainly divine?
01-44:19 My
lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father,
or a brother?
01-44:23 And
thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you,
ye shall see my face no more.
01-44:27 And
thy servant my father said unto us, Ye know that
my wife bare me two sons:
01-44:29 And
if ye take this also from me, and mischief
befall him, ye shall bring down my gray hairs
with sorrow to the grave.
01-45:4 And
Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near.
And he said, I am Joseph your
brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
01-45:5 Now
therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to
preserve life.
01-45:9 Haste
ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him,
Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto
me, tarry not:
01-45:13 And
ye shall tell my father of all my glory in
Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.
01-45:17 And
Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of
Canaan;
01-45:18 And
take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the
good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the
fat of the land.
01-45:19 Now
thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons
out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring
your father, and come.
01-45:24 So
he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.
01-46:34 That
ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been
about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may
dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
01-47:23 Then
Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land
for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for
you, and ye shall sow the land.
01-47:24 And
it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye
shall give the fifth part unto
Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your
food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.
01-49:2 Gather
yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob;
and hearken unto Israel your father.
01-50:17 So
shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee
now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil:
and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy
father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.
01-50:20 But
as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to
pass, as it is this day, to save much
people alive.
01-50:21 Now
therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and
your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
01-50:25 And
Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit
you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.
02-1:16 And
he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to
the Hebrew women, and see them upon
the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.
02-1:18 And
the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children
alive?
02-1:22 And
Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
02-2:18 And
when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to
day?
02-2:20 And
he said unto his daughters, And where is he?
why is it that ye have left the man? call him,
that he may eat bread.
02-3:12 And
he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast
brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall
serve God upon this mountain.
02-3:18 And
they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel,
unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto
him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we
beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to
the LORD our God.
02-3:21 And
I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come
to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:
02-3:22 But
every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her
house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them
upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye
shall spoil the Egyptians.
02-4:15 And
thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy
mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye
shall do.
02-5:4 And
the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye,
Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.
02-5:5 And
Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from
their burdens.
02-5:7 Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick,
as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
02-5:8 And
the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not
diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let
us go and sacrifice to our God.
02-5:11 Go
ye, get you straw where ye
can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.
02-5:14 And
the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set
over them, were beaten, and demanded,
Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in
making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
02-5:17 But
he said, Ye are
idle, ye
are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.
02-5:18 Go
therefore now, and work; for there
shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye
deliver the tale of bricks.
02-5:19 And
the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.
02-5:21 And
they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of
Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay
us.
02-6:7 And
I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens
of the Egyptians.
02-8:25 And
Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye,
sacrifice to your God in the land.
02-8:28 And
Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may
sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only ye
shall not go very far away: intreat for me.
02-9:28 Intreat
the LORD (for it is enough) that
there be no more mighty thunderings
and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall
stay no longer.
02-9:30 But
as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye
will not yet fear the LORD God.
02-10:2 And
that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son’s son, what things
I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.
02-10:11 Not
so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye
did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.
02-10:24 And
Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye,
serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little
ones also go with you.
02-11:7 But
against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against
man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD
doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
02-12:3 Speak
ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying,
In the tenth day of this month they
shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
02-12:5 Your
lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it
out from the sheep, or from the goats:
02-12:6 And
ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of
the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill
it in the evening.
02-12:10 And
ye shall let nothing of it remain until the
morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
02-12:11 And
thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in
your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’S passover.
02-12:13 And
the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and
when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon
you to destroy you, when I smite the
land of Egypt.
02-12:14 And
this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye
shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
02-12:15 Seven
days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the
first day ye shall put away leaven out of your
houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the
seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
02-12:17 And
ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I
brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an
ordinance for ever.
02-12:18 In
the first month, on the fourteenth
day of the month at even, ye shall eat
unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
02-12:20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations
shall ye eat unleavened bread.
02-12:22 And
ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel
and the two side posts with the blood that is
in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until
the morning.
02-12:24 And
ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to
thee and to thy sons for ever.
02-12:25 And
it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land
which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
02-12:26 And
it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
02-12:27 That
ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD’S passover, who passed over the houses
of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered
our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
02-12:31 And
he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD,
as ye have said.
02-12:32 Also
take your flocks and your herds, as ye have
said, and be gone; and bless me also.
02-12:46 In
one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh
abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break
a bone thereof.
02-13:3 And
Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by
strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.
02-13:4 This
day came ye out in the month Abib.
02-13:19 And
Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children
of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye
shall carry up my bones away hence with you.
02-14:2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth,
between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.
02-14:13 And
Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand
still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for
the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
02-14:14 The
LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your
peace.
02-15:21 And
Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for
he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the
sea.
02-16:3 And
the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of
the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full;
for ye have brought us forth into this
wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
02-16:6 And
Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from
the land of Egypt:
02-16:7 And
in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of
the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye
murmur against us?
02-16:8 And
Moses said, This shall be, when the
LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to
the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not
against us, but against the LORD.
02-16:12 I
have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying,
At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.
02-16:16 This
is the thing which the LORD hath
commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every
man, according to the number of your
persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.
02-16:23 And
he said unto them, This is that which
the LORD hath said, To morrow is the
rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up
for you to be kept until the morning.
02-16:25 And
Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is
a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not
find it in the field.
02-16:26 Six
days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day,
which is the sabbath, in it there
shall be none.
02-16:28 And
the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to
keep my commandments and my laws?
02-16:29 See,
for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the
sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every
man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
02-17:2 Wherefore
the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And
Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me?
wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
02-19:4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and
brought you unto myself.
02-19:5 Now
therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and
keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar
treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
02-19:6 And
ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an
holy nation. These are the words
which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
02-19:12 And
thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to
yourselves, that ye
go not up into the mount, or
touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to
death:
02-20:20 And
Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that
his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin
not.
02-20:22 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
02-20:23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither
shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
02-22:21 Thou
shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye
were strangers in the land of Egypt.
02-22:22 Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.
02-22:31 And
ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat any flesh
that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.
02-23:9 Also
thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know
the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were
strangers in the land of Egypt.
02-23:25 And
ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall
bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of
thee.
02-24:1 And
he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu,
and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye
afar off.
02-24:14 And
he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us,
until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto
them.
02-25:2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that
giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take
my offering.
02-25:3 And
this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,
02-25:9 According
to all that I shew thee, after the
pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even
so shall ye make it.
02-25:19 And
make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
02-30:9 Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt
sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye
pour drink offering thereon.
02-30:32 Upon
man’s flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye
make any other like it, after the
composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.
02-30:37 And
as for the perfume which thou shalt
make, ye shall not make to yourselves according
to the composition thereof: it shall be unto thee holy for the LORD.
02-31:13 Speak
thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may
know that I am the LORD that doth
sanctify you.
02-31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth
it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
02-32:30 And
it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto
the LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin.
02-33:5 For
the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a
stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and
consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know
what to do unto thee.
02-34:13 But
ye shall destroy their altars, break their
images, and cut down their groves:
02-35:1 And
Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said
unto them, These are the words which
the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them.
02-35:3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations
upon the sabbath day.
02-35:5 Take
ye from among you an offering unto the LORD:
whosoever is of a willing heart, let
him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass,
03-1:2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an
offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your
offering of the cattle, even of the
herd, and of the flock.
03-2:11 No
meat offering, which ye shall bring unto the
LORD, shall be made with leaven: for ye shall
burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire.
03-2:12 As
for the oblation of the firstfruits, ye shall
offer them unto the LORD: but they shall not be burnt on the altar for a sweet
savour.
03-3:17 It shall be a perpetual statute for your
generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye
eat neither fat nor blood.
03-7:23 Speak
unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall
eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.
03-7:24 And
the fat of the beast that dieth of itself, and the fat of that which is torn
with beasts, may be used in any other use: but ye
shall in no wise eat of it.
03-7:26 Moreover
ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in
any of your dwellings.
03-7:32 And
the right shoulder shall ye give unto the priest
for an heave offering of the sacrifices
of your peace offerings.
03-8:32 And
that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.
03-8:33 And
ye shall not go out of the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation in seven
days, until the days of your consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he
consecrate you.
03-8:35 Therefore
shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night
seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye
die not: for so I am commanded.
03-9:3 And
unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf
and a lamb, both of the first year,
without blemish, for a burnt offering;
03-9:6 And
Moses said, This is the thing which
the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the
glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.
03-10:6 And
Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not
your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye
die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole
house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.
03-10:7 And
ye shall not go out from the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for
the anointing oil of the LORD is upon
you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
03-10:9 Do
not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall
be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
03-10:10 And
that ye may put difference between holy and
unholy, and between unclean and clean;
03-10:11 And
that ye may teach the children of Israel all the
statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.
03-10:13 And
ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the
sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.
03-10:14 And
the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in
a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of
peace offerings of the children of Israel.
03-10:17 Wherefore
have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy
place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the
iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?
03-10:18 Behold,
the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it
in the holy place, as I commanded.
03-11:2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, saying, These are
the beasts which ye shall eat among all the
beasts that are on the earth.
03-11:3 Whatsoever
parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and
cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye
eat.
03-11:4 Nevertheless
these shall ye not eat of them that chew the
cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the
camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
03-11:8 Of
their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase
shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.
03-11:9 These
shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters,
in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye
eat.
03-11:11 They
shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall
not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their
carcases in abomination.
03-11:13 And
these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they
shall not be eaten, they are an
abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
03-11:21 Yet
these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing
that goeth upon all four, which have
legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
03-11:22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald
locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after
his kind.
03-11:24 And
for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever
toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even.
03-11:33 And
every earthen vessel, whereinto any of
them falleth, whatsoever is in it
shall be unclean; and ye shall break it.
03-11:39 And
if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that
toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.
03-11:42 Whatsoever
goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things
that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not
eat; for they are an abomination.
03-11:43 Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping
thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make
yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be
defiled thereby.
03-11:44 For
I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves
with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
03-11:45 For
I am the LORD that bringeth you up
out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye
shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
03-14:34 When
ye be come into the land of Canaan, which I give
to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land
of your possession;
03-15:31 Thus
shall ye separate the children of Israel from
their uncleanness; that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my
tabernacle that is among them.
03-16:29 And
this shall be a statute for ever unto
you: that in the seventh month, on
the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country,
or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
03-16:30 For
on that day shall the priest make an
atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.
03-16:31 It
shall be a sabbath of rest unto you,
and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute
for ever.
03-17:14 For
it is the life of all flesh; the
blood of it is for the life thereof:
therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye
shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth
it shall be cut off.
03-18:3 After
the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye
dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of
the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye
not do: neither shall ye walk in their
ordinances.
03-18:4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to
walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
03-18:5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments:
which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am
the LORD.
03-18:24 Defile
not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in
all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
03-18:26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments,
and shall not commit any of these
abominations; neither any of your own
nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
03-18:28 That
the land spue not you out also, when ye defile
it, as it spued out the nations that were
before you.
03-18:30 Therefore
shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit
not any one of these abominable customs,
which were committed before you, and that ye
defile not yourselves therein: I am the
LORD your God.
03-19:2 Speak
unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.
03-19:3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father,
and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD
your God.
03-19:4 Turn
ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten
gods: I am the LORD your God.
03-19:5 And
if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the
LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.
03-19:6 It
shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on
the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the
fire.
03-19:9 And
when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou
shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the
gleanings of thy harvest.
03-19:11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie
one to another.
03-19:12 And
ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither
shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am
the LORD.
03-19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt
not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge
thy neighbour.
03-19:19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy
cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled
seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
03-19:23 And
when ye shall come into the land, and shall have
planted all manner of trees for food, then ye
shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as
uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.
03-19:25 And
in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit
thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.
03-19:26 Ye shall not eat any
thing with the blood: neither shall ye use
enchantment, nor observe times.
03-19:27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither
shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.
03-19:28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the
dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the
LORD.
03-19:30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary:
I am the LORD.
03-19:33 And
if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye
shall not vex him.
03-19:34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you
shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself;
for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
03-19:35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in
meteyard, in weight, or in measure.
03-19:36 Just
balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the
LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.
03-19:37 Therefore
shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my
judgments, and do them: I am the
LORD.
03-20:7 Sanctify
yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
03-20:8 And
ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.
03-20:15 And
if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.
03-20:22 Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my
judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein,
spue you not out.
03-20:23 And
ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation,
which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore
I abhorred them.
03-20:24 But
I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land,
and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and
honey: I am the LORD your God, which
have separated you from other people.
03-20:25 Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts
and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye
shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of
living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as
unclean.
03-20:26 And
ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
03-22:19 Ye shall
offer at your own will a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep,
or of the goats.
03-22:20 But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye
not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.
03-22:22 Blind,
or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD, nor make an
offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD.
03-22:24 Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is
bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye
make any offering thereof in your
land.
03-22:25 Neither
from a stranger’s hand shall ye offer the bread
of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes
be in them: they shall not be
accepted for you.
03-22:28 And
whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day.
03-22:29 And
when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving
unto the LORD, offer it at your own
will.
03-22:30 On
the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall
leave none of it until the morrow: I am the
LORD.
03-22:31 Therefore
shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD.
03-22:32 Neither
shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be
hallowed among the children of Israel: I am
the LORD which hallow you,
03-23:2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye
shall proclaim to be holy
convocations, even these are my feasts.
03-23:3 Six
days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the
sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
03-23:4 These
are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
03-23:6 And
on the fifteenth day of the same month is
the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
03-23:7 In
the first day ye shall have an holy convocation:
ye shall do no servile work therein.
03-23:8 But
ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the
LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an
holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
03-23:10 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye
be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest
thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the
firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
03-23:12 And
ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the
first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.
03-23:14 And
ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn,
nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye
have brought an offering unto your God: it
shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your
dwellings.
03-23:15 And
ye shall count unto you from the morrow after
the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the
sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
03-23:16 Even
unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye
number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat
offering unto the LORD.
03-23:17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves
of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with
leaven; they are the firstfruits unto
the LORD.
03-23:18 And
ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs
without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they
shall be for a burnt offering unto
the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet
savour unto the LORD.
03-23:19 Then
ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a
sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace
offerings.
03-23:21 And
ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto
you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever
in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
03-23:22 And
when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou
shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest,
neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them
unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the
LORD your God.
03-23:24 Speak
unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets,
an holy convocation.
03-23:25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an
offering made by fire unto the LORD.
03-23:27 Also
on the tenth day of this seventh
month there shall be a day of
atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering
made by fire unto the LORD.
03-23:28 And
ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an
atonement for you before the LORD your God.
03-23:31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all
your dwellings.
03-23:32 It
shall be unto you a sabbath of rest,
and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto
even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
03-23:35 On
the first day shall be an holy
convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
03-23:36 Seven
days ye shall offer an offering made by fire
unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD:
it is a solemn assembly; and ye
shall do no servile work therein.
03-23:37 These
are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to
be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a
burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every
thing upon his day:
03-23:38 Beside
the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and
beside all your freewill offerings, which ye
give unto the LORD.
03-23:39 Also
in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye
have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall
keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
03-23:40 And
ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of
goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and
willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice
before the LORD your God seven days.
03-23:41 And
ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven
days in the year. It shall be a
statute for ever in your generations: ye shall
celebrate it in the seventh month.
03-23:42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are
Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
03-24:22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger,
as for one of your own country: for I am the
LORD your God.
03-25:2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye
come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto
the LORD.
03-25:9 Then
shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of
atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound
throughout all your land.
03-25:10 And
ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim
liberty throughout all the land unto
all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
03-25:11 A
jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye
shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.
03-25:12 For
it is the jubile; it shall be holy
unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out
of the field.
03-25:13 In
the year of this jubile ye shall return every
man unto his possession.
03-25:14 And
if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour’s hand, ye
shall not oppress one another:
03-25:17 Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou
shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD
your God.
03-25:18 Wherefore
ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments,
and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in
safety.
03-25:19 And
the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat
your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
03-25:20 And
if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh
year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
03-25:22 And
ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year;
until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
03-25:23 The
land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
03-25:24 And
in all the land of your possession ye shall
grant a redemption for the land.
03-25:44 Both
thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
03-25:45 Moreover
of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your
land: and they shall be your possession.
03-25:46 And
ye shall take them as an inheritance for your
children after you, to inherit them for a
possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children
of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another
with rigour.
03-26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither
rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye
set up any image of stone in your
land, to bow down unto it: for I am the
LORD your God.
03-26:2 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary:
I am the LORD.
03-26:3 If
ye walk in my statutes, and keep my
commandments, and do them;
03-26:5 And
your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto
the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to
the full, and dwell in your land safely.
03-26:6 And
I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie
down, and none shall make you afraid:
and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through
your land.
03-26:7 And
ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall
before you by the sword.
03-26:10 And
ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old
because of the new.
03-26:12 And
I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye
shall be my people.
03-26:13 I
am the LORD your God, which brought
you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye
should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made
you go upright.
03-26:14 But
if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do
all these commandments;
03-26:15 And
if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul
abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all
my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
03-26:16 I
also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption,
and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart:
and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your
enemies shall eat it.
03-26:17 And
I will set my face against you, and ye shall be
slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
03-26:18 And
if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me,
then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
03-26:21 And
if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not
hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to
your sins.
03-26:23 And
if ye will not be reformed by me by these
things, but will walk contrary unto me;
03-26:25 And
I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will
send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be
delivered into the hand of the enemy.
03-26:26 And when I have broken the staff of your
bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
03-26:27 And
if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but
walk contrary unto me;
03-26:29 And
ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the
flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
03-26:34 Then
shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in
your enemies’ land; even then shall
the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
03-26:35 As
long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your
sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
03-26:37 And
they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none
pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand
before your enemies.
03-26:38 And
ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land
of your enemies shall eat you up.
04-1:2 Take
ye the sum of all the congregation of the children
of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number
of their names, every male by their polls;
04-4:18 Cut
ye not off the tribe of the families of the
Kohathites from among the Levites:
04-4:27 At
the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of
the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their
burdens.
04-4:32 And
the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and
their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by
name ye shall reckon the instruments of the
charge of their burden.
04-5:3 Both
male and female shall ye put out, without the
camp shall ye put them; that they defile not
their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
04-6:23 Speak
unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye
shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,
04-9:3 In
the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye
shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and
according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye
keep it.
04-9:14 And
if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the
LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner
thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one
ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
04-10:5 When
ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the
east parts shall go forward.
04-10:6 When
ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps
that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm
for their journeys.
04-10:7 But
when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye
shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
04-10:9 And
if ye go to war in your land against the enemy
that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm
with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered
before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved
from your enemies.
04-10:10 Also
in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of
your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets
over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings;
that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.
04-11:18 And
say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye
have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for
it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.
04-11:19 Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days,
neither ten days, nor twenty days;
04-11:20 But
even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome
unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD
which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of
Egypt?
04-12:4 And
the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And
they three came out.
04-12:8 With
him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and
the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
04-13:2 Send
thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the
children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.
04-13:20 And
what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or
not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the
fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.
04-14:9 Only
rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us:
their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.
04-14:28 Say
unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye
have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
04-14:30 Doubtless
ye shall not come into the land, concerning
which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and
Joshua the son of Nun.
04-14:31 But
your little ones, which ye said should be a
prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised.
04-14:34 After
the number of the days in which ye searched the
land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye
bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye
shall know my breach of promise.
04-14:41 And
Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the
commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.
04-14:42 Go
not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye
be not smitten before your enemies.
04-14:43 For
the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD
will not be with you.
04-15:2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye
be come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,
04-15:12 According
to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to every one according to their number.
04-15:14 And
if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations,
and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; as ye do, so he shall do.
04-15:15 One
ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger
that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.
04-15:18 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye
come into the land whither I bring you,
04-15:19 Then
it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of
the land, ye shall offer up an heave offering
unto the LORD.
04-15:20 Ye shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough
for an heave offering: as ye do the heave
offering of the threshingfloor, so shall ye
heave it.
04-15:21 Of
the first of your dough ye shall give unto the
LORD an heave offering in your generations.
04-15:22 And
if ye have erred, and not observed all these
commandments, which the LORD hath spoken unto Moses,
04-15:29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through
ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the
stranger that sojourneth among them.
04-15:39 And
it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may
look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and
that ye seek not after your own heart and your
own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
04-15:40 That
ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and
be holy unto your God.
04-16:3 And
they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said
unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all
the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them:
wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the
congregation of the LORD?
04-16:7 And
put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it
shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye
sons of Levi.
04-16:8 And
Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons
of Levi:
04-16:10 And
he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with
thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?
04-16:11 For
which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the
LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against
him?
04-16:17 And
take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred
and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.
04-16:26 And
he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of
these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye
be consumed in all their sins.
04-16:28 And
Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD
hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.
04-16:30 But
if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them
up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit;
then ye shall understand that these men have
provoked the LORD.
04-16:41 But
on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against
Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed
the people of the LORD.
04-18:3 And
they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they
shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither
they, nor ye also, die.
04-18:5 And
ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and
the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of
Israel.
04-18:7 Therefore
thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest’s office for every thing of
the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall
serve: I have given your priest’s office unto you as a service of gift: and the
stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
04-18:26 Thus
speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye
take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for
your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an
heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.
04-18:28 Thus
ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the
LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the
children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof
the LORD’S heave offering to Aaron the priest.
04-18:29 Out
of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave
offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof
out of it.
04-18:30 Therefore
thou shalt say unto them, When ye have heaved
the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the
increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.
04-18:31 And
ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households: for it is your reward for your
service in the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-18:32 And
ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel,
lest ye die.
04-19:3 And
ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that
he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his
face:
04-20:4 And
why have ye brought up the congregation of the
LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?
04-20:5 And
wherefore have ye made us to come up out of
Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs,
or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.
04-20:8 Take
the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother,
and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes;
and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out
of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
04-20:10 And
Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said
unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch
you water out of this rock?
04-20:12 And
the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye
believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel,
therefore ye shall not bring this congregation
into the land which I have given them.
04-20:24 Aaron
shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I
have given unto the children of Israel, because ye
rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.
04-21:5 And
the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the
wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul
loatheth this light bread.
04-21:17 Then
Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye
unto it:
04-22:19 Now
therefore, I pray you, tarry ye also here this night,
that I may know what the LORD will say unto me more.
04-25:5 And
Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye
every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
04-27:8 And
thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no
son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass
unto his daughter.
04-27:9 And
if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his
inheritance unto his brethren.
04-27:10 And
if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his
inheritance unto his father’s brethren.
04-27:11 And
if his father have no brethren, then ye shall
give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he
shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of
judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.
04-27:14 For
ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert
of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before
their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
04-28:2 Command
the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my bread for my
sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer unto me in their due season.
04-28:3 And
thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first
year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering.
04-28:11 And
in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer
a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of
the first year without spot;
04-28:18 In
the first day shall be an holy convocation; ye
shall do no manner of servile work therein:
04-28:19 But
ye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt
offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the
first year: they shall be unto you without blemish:
04-28:20 And
their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: three tenth deals shall
ye offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for
a ram;
04-28:23 Ye shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the
morning, which is for a continual burnt offering.
04-28:24 After
this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the
seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the
LORD: it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink
offering.
04-28:25 And
on the seventh day ye shall have an holy
convocation; ye shall do no servile work.
04-28:26 Also
in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a
new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work:
04-28:27 But
ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet
savour unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first
year;
04-28:31 Ye shall offer them beside the continual burnt
offering, and his meat offering, (they shall be unto you without blemish) and
their drink offerings.
04-29:1 And
in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye
shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no
servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.
04-29:2 And
ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet
savour unto the LORD; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first
year without blemish:
04-29:7 And
ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh
month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict
your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:
04-29:8 But
ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD
for a sweet savour; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first
year; they shall be unto you without blemish:
04-29:12 And
on the fifteenth day of the seventh month ye
shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no
servile work, and ye shall keep a feast unto the
LORD seven days:
04-29:13 And
ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice
made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; thirteen young bullocks, two
rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year; they shall be without blemish:
04-29:17 And
on the second day ye shall offer twelve young
bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:
04-29:35 On
the eighth day ye shall have a solemn assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein:
04-29:36 But
ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice
made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: one bullock, one ram, seven
lambs of the first year without blemish:
04-29:39 These
things ye shall do unto the LORD in your set feasts,
beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and
for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace
offerings.
04-31:4 Of
every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.
04-31:15 And
Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the
women alive?
04-31:19 And
do ye abide without the camp seven days:
whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify
both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.
04-31:23 Every
thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it
go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified
with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.
04-31:24 And
ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day,
and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.
04-32:6 And
Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your
brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?
04-32:7 And
wherefore discourage ye the heart of the
children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given
them?
04-32:14 And,
behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead,
an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward
Israel.
04-32:15 For
if ye turn away from after him, he will yet
again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall
destroy all this people.
04-32:20 And
Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing,
if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,
04-32:22 And
the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye
shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this
land shall be your possession before the LORD.
04-32:23 But
if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin
will find you out.
04-32:29 And
Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will
pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the
land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall
give them the land of Gilead for a possession:
04-33:51 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye
are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
04-33:52 Then
ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the
land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their
molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
04-33:53 And
ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land,
and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
04-33:54 And
ye shall divide the land by lot for an
inheritance among your families: and to the more ye
shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye
shall give the less inheritance: every man’s inheritance shall be in the place
where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.
04-33:55 But
if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the
land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes,
and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
04-34:2 Command
the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye
come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an
inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)
04-34:6 And
as for the western border, ye shall even have
the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.
04-34:7 And
this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye
shall point out for you mount Hor:
04-34:8 From
mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto
the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:
04-34:10 And
ye shall point out your east border from
Hazarenan to Shepham:
04-34:13 And
Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to
give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
04-34:18 And
ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to
divide the land by inheritance.
04-35:2 Command
the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of
their possession cities to dwell in; and ye
shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.
04-35:4 And
the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give
unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand
cubits round about.
04-35:5 And
ye shall measure from without the city on the east
side two thousand cubits, and on the south side two thousand cubits, and on the
west side two thousand cubits, and on the north side two thousand cubits; and
the city shall be in the midst: this shall be to them the suburbs of the
cities.
04-35:6 And
among the cities which ye shall give unto the
Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye
shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may flee thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities.
04-35:7 So
all the cities which ye shall give to the
Levites shall be forty and eight cities: them shall ye
give with their suburbs.
04-35:8 And
the cities which ye shall give shall be of the
possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many ye shall give many; but from them that have few ye shall give few: every one shall give of his cities
unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he inheriteth.
04-35:10 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye
be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
04-35:11 Then
ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of
refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which killeth any person at
unawares.
04-35:13 And
of these cities which ye shall give six cities
shall ye have for refuge.
04-35:14 Ye shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and
three cities shall ye give in the land of
Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.
04-35:31 Moreover
ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a
murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.
04-35:32 And
ye shall take no satisfaction for him that is
fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land,
until the death of the priest.
04-35:33 So
ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land
cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him
that shed it.
04-35:34 Defile
not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit,
wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.
05-1:6 The
LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye
have dwelt long enough in this mount:
05-1:10 The
LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye
are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.
05-1:11 (The
LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!)
05-1:14 And
ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou
hast spoken is good for us to do.
05-1:17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the
judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me,
and I will hear it.
05-1:18 And
I commanded you at that time all the things which ye
should do.
05-1:19 And
when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible
wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the
mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to
Kadeshbarnea.
05-1:20 And
I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain
of the Amorites, which the LORD our God doth give unto us.
05-1:22 And
ye came near unto me every one of you, and said,
We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us
word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.
05-1:26 Notwithstanding
ye would not go up, but rebelled against the
commandment of the LORD your God:
05-1:27 And
ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the
LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us
into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.
05-1:31 And
in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as
a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye
went, until ye came into this place.
05-1:32 Yet
in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your
God,
05-1:33 Who
went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in,
in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye
should go, and in a cloud by day.
05-1:39 Moreover
your little ones, which ye said should be a
prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and
evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall
possess it.
05-1:41 Then
ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned
against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our
God commanded us. And when ye had girded on
every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to
go up into the hill.
05-1:42 And
the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not
among you; lest ye be smitten before your
enemies.
05-1:43 So
I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled
against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill.
05-1:45 And
ye returned and wept before the LORD; but the
LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.
05-1:46 So
ye abode in Kadesh many days, according unto the
days that ye abode there.
05-2:3 Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you
northward.
05-2:4 And
command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass
through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir;
and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good
heed unto yourselves therefore:
05-2:6 Ye shall buy meat of them for money, that ye may eat; and ye
shall also buy water of them for money, that ye
may drink.
05-2:24 Rise
ye up, take your journey, and pass over the
river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of
Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.
05-3:18 And
I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this
land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed
before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.
05-3:19 But
your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which
I have given you;
05-3:20 Until
the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until
they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond
Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his
possession, which I have given you.
05-3:22 Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall
fight for you.
05-4:1 Now
therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I
teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and
go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
05-4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you,
neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God
which I command you.
05-4:4 But
ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are
alive every one of you this day.
05-4:5 Behold,
I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me,
that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
05-4:11 And
ye came near and stood under the mountain; and
the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds,
and thick darkness.
05-4:12 And
the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye
heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.
05-4:14 And
the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.
05-4:15 Take
ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the
LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
05-4:16 Lest
ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven
image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
05-4:20 But
the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even
out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.
05-4:22 But
I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land.
05-4:23 Take
heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the
covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven
image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden
thee.
05-4:25 When
thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt
yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do
evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:
05-4:26 I
call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land
whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall
utterly be destroyed.
05-4:27 And
the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye
shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
05-4:28 And
there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s
hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
05-5:1 And
Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and
judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye
may learn them, and keep, and do them.
05-5:5 (I
stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD:
for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and
went not up into the mount;) saying,
05-5:23 And
it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of
the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your
tribes, and your elders;
05-5:24 And
ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us
his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of
the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
05-5:28 And
the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye
spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words
of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that
they have spoken.
05-5:32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God
hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to
the right hand or to the left.
05-5:33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God
hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that
it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong
your days in the land which ye shall possess.
05-6:1 Now
these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD
your God commanded to teach you, that ye might
do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
05-6:3 Hear
therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and
that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God
of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and
honey.
05-6:14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the
people which are round about you;
05-6:16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
05-6:17 Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD
your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
05-7:5 But
thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their
images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.
05-7:7 The
LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
05-7:12 Wherefore
it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these
judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the
covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
05-7:25 The
graven images of their gods shall ye burn with
fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto
thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy
God.
05-8:1 All
the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye
observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply,
and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.
05-8:19 And
it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other
gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
05-8:20 As
the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye
would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.
05-9:7 Remember,
and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the
wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until
ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.
05-9:8 Also
in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that
the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.
05-9:16 And
I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the
LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye
had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
05-9:18 And
I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I
did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD,
to provoke him to anger.
05-9:21 And
I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and
burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was
as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out
of the mount.
05-9:22 And
at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibrothhattaavah, ye
provoked the LORD to wrath.
05-9:23 Likewise
when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land
which I have given you; then ye rebelled against
the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye
believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
05-9:24 Ye have been rebellious against the LORD from the day
that I knew you.
05-10:19 Love
ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
05-11:2 And
know ye this day: for I speak not with your
children which have not known, and which have not seen the chastisement of the LORD
your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,
05-11:5 And
what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye
came into this place;
05-11:8 Therefore
shall ye keep all the commandments which I
command you this day, that ye may be strong, and
go in and possess the land, whither ye go to
possess it;
05-11:9 And
that ye may prolong your days in the land, which
the LORD sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land
that floweth with milk and honey.
05-11:10 For
the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt,
from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy
seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:
05-11:11 But
the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land
of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:
05-11:13 And
it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken
diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD
your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
05-11:16 Take
heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
05-11:17 And
then the LORD’S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that
there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the
LORD giveth you.
05-11:18 Therefore
shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and
in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets
between your eyes.
05-11:19 And
ye shall teach them your children, speaking of
them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when
thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
05-11:22 For
if ye shall diligently keep all these
commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to
walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
05-11:23 Then
will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than
yourselves.
05-11:25 There
shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the
fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.
05-11:27 A
blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the
LORD your God, which I command you this day:
05-11:28 And
a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of
the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day,
to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
05-11:31 For
ye shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess
the land which the LORD your God giveth you, and ye
shall possess it, and dwell therein.
05-11:32 And
ye shall observe to do all the statutes and
judgments which I set before you this day.
05-12:1 These
are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall
observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to
possess it, all the days that ye live upon the
earth.
05-12:2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the
nations which ye shall possess served their
gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:
05-12:3 And
ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their
pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye
shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them
out of that place.
05-12:4 Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.
05-12:5 But
unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to
put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye
seek, and thither thou shalt come:
05-12:6 And
thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and
your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your
vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your
flocks:
05-12:7 And
there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and
ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye
and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.
05-12:8 Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here
this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
05-12:9 For
ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the
inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.
05-12:10 But
when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land
which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from
all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell
in safety;
05-12:11 Then
there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to
dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I
command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the
heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:
05-12:12 And
ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your
menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates;
forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.
05-12:16 Only
ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.
05-13:3 Thou
shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams:
for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye
love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
05-13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him,
and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye
shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
05-13:13 Certain
men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn
the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
05-14:1 Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness
between your eyes for the dead.
05-14:4 These
are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the
sheep, and the goat,
05-14:6 And
every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and
cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall
eat.
05-14:7 Nevertheless
these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud,
or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the
coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are
unclean unto you.
05-14:8 And
the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean
unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor
touch their dead carcase.
05-14:9 These
ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all
that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
05-14:10 And
whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not
eat; it is unclean unto you.
05-14:11 Of
all clean birds ye shall eat.
05-14:12 But
these are they of which ye shall not eat: the
eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
05-14:20 But
of all clean fowls ye may eat.
05-14:21 Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself:
thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it;
or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD
thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
05-17:16 But
he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to
Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath
said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no
more that way.
05-18:15 The
LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy
brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall
hearken;
05-19:19 Then
shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have
done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.
05-20:2 And
it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the
battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,
05-20:3 And
shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach
this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not,
and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified
because of them;
05-20:18 That
they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done
unto their gods; so should ye sin against the
LORD your God.
05-22:24 Then
ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of
that city, and ye shall stone them with stones
that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the
man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil
from among you.
05-23:4 Because
they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired
against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
05-24:8 Take
heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do according
to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do.
05-24:9 Remember
what the LORD thy God did unto Miriam by the way, after that ye were come forth out of Egypt.
05-25:17 Remember
what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye
were come forth out of Egypt;
05-27:2 And
it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over
Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee
up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:
05-27:4 Therefore
it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this
day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.
05-27:12 These
shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah,
and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
05-28:62 And
ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because
thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.
05-28:63 And
it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and
to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring
you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off
the land whither thou goest to possess it.
05-28:68 And
the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I
spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and
bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
05-29:2 And
Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye
have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto
Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
05-29:6 Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.
05-29:7 And
when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of
Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote
them:
05-29:9 Keep
therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.
05-29:10 Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God;
your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men
of Israel,
05-29:16 (For
ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt;
and how we came through the nations which ye
passed by;
05-29:17 And
ye have seen their abominations, and their
idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
05-30:18 I
denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely
perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days
upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
05-31:5 And
the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye
may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded
you.
05-31:13 And
that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to
fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in
the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess
it.
05-31:19 Now
therefore write ye this song for you, and teach
it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a
witness for me against the children of Israel.
05-31:27 For
I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you
this day, ye have been rebellious against the
LORD; and how much more after my death?
05-31:29 For
I know that after my death ye will utterly
corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and
evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye
will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work
of your hands.
05-32:1 Give
ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O
earth, the words of my mouth.
05-32:3 Because
I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye
greatness unto our God.
05-32:6 Do
ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and
unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and
established thee?
05-32:43 Rejoice,
O ye nations, with his people: for he will
avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries,
and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
05-32:46 And
he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you
this day, which ye shall command your children
to observe to do, all the words of this law.
05-32:47 For
it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing
ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
05-32:51 Because
ye trespassed against me among the children of
Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of
Israel.
06-1:11 Pass
through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for
within three days ye shall pass over this
Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to
possess it.
06-1:14 Your
wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses
gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass
before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them;
06-1:15 Until
the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also
have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and
enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward
the sunrising.
06-2:5 And
it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that
the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly;
for ye shall overtake them.
06-2:10 For
we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other
side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly
destroyed.
06-2:12 Now
therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you
kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto
my father’s house, and give me a true token:
06-2:13 And
that ye will save alive my father, and my
mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver
our lives from death.
06-2:14 And
the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye
utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD hath given us the
land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.
06-2:16 And
she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and
hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward
may ye go your way.
06-3:3 And
they commanded the people, saying, When ye see
the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites
bearing it, then ye shall remove from your
place, and go after it.
06-3:4 Yet
there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by
measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know
the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore.
06-3:8 And
thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan.
06-3:10 And
Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the
living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before
you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and
the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites.
06-4:3 And
command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of
the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm,
twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with
you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye
shall lodge this night.
06-4:6 That
this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time
to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?
06-4:7 Then
ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan
were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan,
the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial
unto the children of Israel for ever.
06-4:17 Joshua
therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come ye
up out of Jordan.
06-4:22 Then
ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel
came over this Jordan on dry land.
06-4:23 For
the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the
Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:
06-4:24 That
all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty:
that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.
06-6:3 And
ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus
shalt thou do six days.
06-6:4 And
seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the
seventh day ye shall compass the city seven
times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
06-6:5 And
it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn,
and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all
the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall
down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.
06-6:10 And
Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye
shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word
proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.
06-6:18 And
ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed
thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of
Israel a curse, and trouble it.
06-6:22 But
Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the
harlot’s house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye sware unto her.
06-7:12 Therefore
the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their
backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with
you any more, except ye destroy the accursed
from among you.
06-7:13 Up,
sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus
saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee,
O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.
06-7:14 In
the morning therefore ye shall be brought
according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the LORD taketh
shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the LORD
shall take shall come by households; and the household which the LORD shall
take shall come man by man.
06-8:2 And
thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the
spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye
take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it.
06-8:4 And
he commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie
in wait against the city, even behind the city: go not very far from the city,
but be ye all ready:
06-8:7 Then
ye shall rise up from the ambush, and seize upon
the city: for the LORD your God will deliver it into your hand.
06-8:8 And
it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that ye shall set the city on fire: according to the
commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have
commanded you.
06-9:6 And
they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men
of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us.
06-9:7 And
the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye
dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?
06-9:8 And
they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye?
06-9:11 Wherefore
our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take
victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We
are your servants: therefore now make ye a
league with us.
06-9:22 And
Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when
ye dwell among us?
06-9:23 Now
therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of
you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the
house of my God.
06-10:19 And
stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and
smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the
LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand.
06-10:25 And
Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good
courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
06-18:3 And
Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye
slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given
you?
06-18:6 Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts,
and bring the description hither to me, that I may cast lots for you here
before the LORD our God.
06-22:2 And
said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant
of the LORD commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded
you:
06-22:3 Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto
this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the LORD your God.
06-22:4 And
now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them:
therefore now return ye, and get you unto your
tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the
LORD gave you on the other side Jordan.
06-22:16 Thus
saith the whole congregation of the LORD, What trespass is this that ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn
away this day from following the LORD, in that ye
have builded you an altar, that ye might rebel
this day against the LORD?
06-22:18 But
that ye must turn away this day from following
the LORD? and it will be, seeing ye rebel to day
against the LORD, that to morrow he will be wroth with the whole congregation
of Israel.
06-22:19 Notwithstanding,
if the land of your possession be unclean, then pass ye
over unto the land of the possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD’S tabernacle
dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not against the LORD, nor
rebel against us, in building you an altar beside the altar of the LORD our
God.
06-22:24 And
if we have not rather done it for fear of this thing, saying, In time to come
your children might speak unto our children, saying, What have ye to do with the LORD God of Israel?
06-22:25 For
the LORD hath made Jordan a border between us and you, ye
children of Reuben and children of Gad; ye have
no part in the LORD: so shall your children make our children cease from
fearing the LORD.
06-22:27 But
that it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us,
that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings,
and with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings; that your children may
not say to our children in time to come, Ye have
no part in the LORD.
06-22:31 And
Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to
the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that
the LORD is among us, because ye have not
committed this trespass against the LORD: now ye
have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD.
06-23:3 And
ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath
done unto all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is he that
hath fought for you.
06-23:5 And
the LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out
of your sight; and ye shall possess their land,
as the LORD your God hath promised unto you.
06-23:6 Be
ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do
all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to
the left;
06-23:7 That
ye come not among these nations, these that
remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to
swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:
06-23:8 But
cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done
unto this day.
06-23:11 Take
good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye
love the LORD your God.
06-23:12 Else
if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto
the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make
marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:
06-23:13 Know
for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these
nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges
in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye
perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
06-23:14 And,
behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that
not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake
concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed
thereof.
06-23:16 When
ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD
your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and
bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against
you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the
good land which he hath given unto you.
06-24:6 And
I brought your fathers out of Egypt: and ye came
unto the sea; and the Egyptians pursued after your fathers with chariots and
horsemen unto the Red sea.
06-24:7 And
when they cried unto the LORD, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians,
and brought the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen what I
have done in Egypt: and ye dwelt in the
wilderness a long season.
06-24:8 And
I brought you into the land of the Amorites, which dwelt on the other side
Jordan; and they fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that ye might possess their land; and I destroyed them from
before you.
06-24:11 And
ye went over Jordan, and came unto Jericho: and
the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and
the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the
Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand.
06-24:13 And
I have given you a land for which ye did not
labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards
which ye planted not do ye
eat.
06-24:14 Now
therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away
the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in
Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
06-24:15 And
if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers
served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites,
in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my
house, we will serve the LORD.
06-24:19 And
Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the
LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your
transgressions nor your sins.
06-24:20 If
ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then
he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you
good.
06-24:22 And
Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses
against yourselves that ye have chosen you the
LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
06-24:27 And
Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us;
for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be
therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your
God.
07-2:2 And
ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of
this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but
ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?
07-5:2 Praise
ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the
people willingly offered themselves.
07-5:3 Hear,
O ye kings; give ear, O ye
princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God
of Israel.
07-5:9 My
heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among
the people. Bless ye the LORD.
07-5:10 Speak,
ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.
07-5:23 Curse
ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came
not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.
07-6:10 And
I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in
whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.
07-6:31 And
Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye
plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will
plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a
god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.
07-7:17 And
he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the
outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.
07-7:18 When
I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp,
and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.
07-8:15 And
he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and
Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thy men that are
weary?
07-8:18 Then
said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so
were they; each one resembled the children of a king.
07-8:19 And
he said, They were my brethren, even the sons of my mother: as the LORD liveth,
if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay
you.
07-8:24 And
Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye would give me every man the earrings of his prey.
(For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.)
07-9:7 And
when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and
lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.
07-9:15 And
the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye
anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not,
let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.
07-9:16 Now
therefore, if ye have done truly and sincerely,
in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and
have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands;
07-9:18 And
ye are risen up against my father’s house this
day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and
have made Abimelech, the son of his maidservant, king over the men of Shechem,
because he is your brother;)
07-9:19 If
ye then have dealt truly and sincerely with
Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice ye
in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you:
07-9:48 And
Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that were with him;
and Abimelech took an ax in his hand, and cut down a bough from the trees, and
took it, and laid it on his shoulder, and said unto the people that were with
him, What ye have seen me do, make haste, and do
as I have done.
07-10:12 The
Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.
07-10:13 Yet
ye have forsaken me, and served other gods:
wherefore I will deliver you no more.
07-10:14 Go
and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let
them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
07-11:7 And
Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not ye
hate me, and expel me out of my father’s house? and why are ye come unto me now when ye
are in distress?
07-11:9 And
Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, If ye
bring me home again to fight against the children of Ammon, and the LORD
deliver them before me, shall I be your head?
07-11:26 While
Israel dwelt in Heshbon and her towns, and in Aroer and her towns, and in all
the cities that be along by the coasts of Arnon, three hundred years? why therefore
did ye not recover them within that time?
07-12:2 And
Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children
of Ammon; and when I called you, ye delivered me
not out of their hands.
07-12:3 And
when I saw that ye delivered me not, I put my
life in my hands, and passed over against the children of Ammon, and the LORD
delivered them into my hand: wherefore then are ye
come up unto me this day, to fight against me?
07-12:4 Then
Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and
the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye
Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the
Manassites.
07-14:12 And
Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days
of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty
change of garments:
07-14:13 But
if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of
garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it.
07-14:15 And
it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson’s wife, Entice
thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy
father’s house with fire: have ye called us to
take that we have? is it not so?
07-14:18 And
the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down,
What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto
them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.
07-15:7 And
Samson said unto them, Though ye have done this,
yet will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.
07-15:10 And
the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against
us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath
done to us.
07-15:12 And
they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee
into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me,
that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.
07-18:6 And
the priest said unto them, Go in peace: before the LORD is your way wherein ye go.
07-18:8 And
they came unto their brethren to Zorah and Eshtaol: and their brethren said
unto them, What say ye?
07-18:9 And
they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land,
and, behold, it is very good: and are ye still?
be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.
07-18:10 When
ye go, ye shall come
unto a people secure, and to a large land: for God hath given it into your
hands; a place where there is no want of any thing that is in the earth.
07-18:14 Then
answered the five men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said unto
their brethren, Do ye know that there is in
these houses an ephod, and teraphim, and a graven image, and a molten image?
now therefore consider what ye have to do.
07-18:18 And
these went into Micah’s house, and fetched the carved image, the ephod, and the
teraphim, and the molten image. Then said the priest unto them, What do ye?
07-18:24 And
he said, Ye have taken away my gods which I
made, and the priest, and ye are gone away: and
what have I more? and what is this that ye say
unto me, What aileth thee?
07-19:24 Behold,
here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and
humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth
good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.
07-20:7 Behold,
ye are all children of Israel; give here your
advice and counsel.
07-21:11 And
this is the thing that ye shall do, Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman
that hath lain by man.
07-21:21 And
see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then
come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you
every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.
07-21:22 And
it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain,
that we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them for our sakes: because we
reserved not to each man his wife in the war: for ye
did not give unto them at this time, that ye
should be guilty.
08-1:8 And
Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s
house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have
dealt with the dead, and with me.
08-1:9 The
LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each of
you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their
voice, and wept.
08-1:11 And
Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye
go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your
husbands?
08-1:13 Would
ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my
daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is
gone out against me.
08-1:21 I
went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me,
and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
08-4:2 And
he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.
08-4:9 And
Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye
are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all
that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi.
08-4:10 Moreover
Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to
raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be
not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
09-2:23 And
he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I
hear of your evil dealings by all this people.
09-2:24 Nay,
my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye
make the Lord’s people to transgress.
09-2:29 Wherefore
kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering,
which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to
make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?
09-4:9 Be
strong, and quit yourselves like men, O ye
Philistines, that ye be not servants unto the
Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight.
09-6:3 And
they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of
Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then
ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you
why his hand is not removed from you.
09-6:5 Wherefore
ye shall make images of your emerods, and images
of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall
give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from
off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.
09-6:6 Wherefore
then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians
and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them,
did they not let the people go, and they departed?
09-6:8 And
take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold,
which ye return him for a trespass offering, in
a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go.
09-6:21 And
they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjathjearim, saying, The
Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and fetch it up to you.
09-7:3 And
Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye
do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods
and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve
him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.
09-8:17 He
will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall
be his servants.
09-8:18 And
ye shall cry out in that day because of your
king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD
will not hear you in that day.
09-8:22 And
the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king. And
Samuel said unto the men of Israel, Go ye every
man unto his city.
09-9:13 As
soon as ye be come into the city, ye shall straightway find him, before he go up to the
high place to eat: for the people will not eat until he come, because he doth
bless the sacrifice; and afterwards they eat that be bidden. Now therefore get
you up; for about this time ye shall find him.
09-9:19 And
Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up before me unto the high
place; for ye shall eat with me to day, and to
morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee all that is in thine heart.
09-10:14 And
Saul’s uncle said unto him and to his servant, Whither went ye? And he said, To seek the asses: and when we saw
that they were no where, we came to Samuel.
09-10:19 And
ye have this day rejected your God, who himself
saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us.
Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your
thousands.
09-10:24 And
Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom
the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all
the people shouted, and said, God save the king.
09-11:9 And
they said unto the messengers that came, Thus shall ye
say unto the men of Jabeshgilead, To morrow, by that time the sun be hot, ye shall have help. And the messengers came and shewed
it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.
09-11:10 Therefore
the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you.
09-12:1 And
Samuel said unto all Israel, Behold, I have hearkened unto your voice in all
that ye said unto me, and have made a king over
you.
09-12:5 And
he said unto them, The LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness
this day, that ye have not found ought in my
hand. And they answered, He is witness.
09-12:11 And
the LORD sent Jerubbaal, and Bedan, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you
out of the hand of your enemies on every side, and ye
dwelled safe.
09-12:12 And
when ye saw that Nahash the king of the children
of Ammon came against you, ye said unto me, Nay;
but a king shall reign over us: when the LORD your God was your king.
09-12:13 Now
therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen,
and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the LORD
hath set a king over you.
09-12:14 If
ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey
his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue
following the LORD your God:
09-12:15 But
if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but
rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be
against you, as it was against your fathers.
09-12:17 Is
it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder
and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your
wickedness is great, which ye have done in the
sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.
09-12:20 And
Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have
done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve
the LORD with all your heart;
09-12:21 And
turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor
deliver; for they are vain.
09-12:25 But
if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye
and your king.
09-14:33 Then
they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against the LORD, in that they
eat with the blood. And he said, Ye have
transgressed: roll a great stone unto me this day.
09-14:38 And
Saul said, Draw ye near hither, all the chief of
the people: and know and see wherein this sin hath been this day.
09-14:40 Then
said he unto all Israel, Be ye on one side, and
I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said unto Saul,
Do what seemeth good unto thee.
09-15:6 And
Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites,
lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed
kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the
Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
09-15:32 Then
said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king
of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the
bitterness of death is past.
09-17:8 And
he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a
Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you
a man for you, and let him come down to me.
09-17:9 If
he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but
if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye
be our servants, and serve us.
09-17:25 And
the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man
that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the
man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give
him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.
09-18:25 And
Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king
desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be
avenged of the king’s enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand
of the Philistines.
09-21:14 Then
said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the
man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him
to me?
09-21:15 Have
I need of mad men, that ye have brought this
fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my
house?
09-22:7 Then
Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of
you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains
of hundreds;
09-22:13 And
Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired
against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a
sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie
in wait, as at this day?
09-23:21 And
Saul said, Blessed be ye of the LORD; for ye have compassion on me.
09-23:23 See
therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hideth
himself, and come ye again to me with the
certainty, and I will go with you: and it shall come to pass, if he be in the
land, that I will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah.
09-25:6 And
thus shall ye say to him that liveth in
prosperity, Peace be both to thee, and peace be to thine house, and peace be
unto all that thou hast.
09-25:13 And
David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man
his sword. And they girded on every man his sword; and David also girded on his
sword: and there went up after David about four hundred men; and two hundred
abode by the stuff.
09-26:16 This
thing is not good that thou hast done. As the LORD liveth, ye are worthy to die, because ye
have not kept your master, the LORD’S anointed. And now see where the king’s spear
is, and the cruse of water that was at his bolster.
09-27:10 And
Achish said, Whither have ye made a road to day?
And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the
Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.
09-29:10 Wherefore
now rise up early in the morning with thy master’s servants that are come with
thee: and as soon as ye be up early in the
morning, and have light, depart.
09-30:23 Then
said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren,
with that which the LORD hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered
the company that came against us into our hand.
10-1:21 Ye mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let
there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the
mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been
anointed with oil.
10-1:24 Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed
you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your
apparel.
10-2:5 And
David sent messengers unto the men of Jabeshgilead, and said unto them, Blessed
be ye of the LORD, that ye
have shewed this kindness unto your lord, even unto Saul, and have buried him.
10-2:6 And
now the LORD shew kindness and truth unto you: and I also will requite you this
kindness, because ye have done this thing.
10-2:7 Therefore
now let your hands be strengthened, and be ye valiant:
for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah have anointed me king
over them.
10-3:17 And
Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for David in times past to be king over you:
10-3:38 And
the king said unto his servants, Know ye not
that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?
10-7:7 In
all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a
word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people
Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of
cedar?
10-11:15 And
he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in
the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye
from him, that he may be smitten, and die.
10-11:20 And
if so be that the king’s wrath arise, and he say unto thee, Wherefore
approached ye so nigh unto the city when ye did fight? knew ye
not that they would shoot from the wall?
10-11:21 Who
smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast a piece of a
millstone upon him from the wall, that he died in Thebez? why went ye nigh the wall? then say thou, Thy servant Uriah the
Hittite is dead also.
10-13:28 Now
Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye
now when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite
Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be
valiant.
10-15:10 But
Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.
10-15:36 Behold,
they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok’s son, and Jonathan
Abiathar’s son; and by them ye shall send unto
me every thing that ye can hear.
10-16:10 And
the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons
of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David.
Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?
10-19:10 And
Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king back?
10-19:11 And
king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the
elders of Judah, saying, Why are ye the last to
bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to
the king, even to his house.
10-19:12 Ye are my brethren, ye
are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are ye
the last to bring back the king?
10-19:13 And
say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, and of
my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before
me continually in the room of Joab.
10-19:22 And
David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons
of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be
adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel?
for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?
10-19:42 And
all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of
kin to us: wherefore then be ye angry for this
matter? have we eaten at all of the king’s cost? or hath he given us any gift?
10-19:43 And
the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the
king, and we have also more right in David than ye:
why then did ye despise us, that our advice
should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of
Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
10-21:3 Wherefore
David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I
make the atonement, that ye may bless the
inheritance of the LORD?
10-21:4 And
the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of
his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.
10-24:2 For
the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which was with him, Go now through
all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the
people.
11-1:34 And
let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel:
and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save
king Solomon.
11-1:35 Then
ye shall come up after him, that he may come and
sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my stead: and I have appointed him
to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.
11-1:45 And
Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon: and
they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This is
the noise that ye have heard.
11-9:6 But
if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments
and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and
worship them:
11-11:2 Of
the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in
unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon
clave unto these in love.
11-12:6 And
king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father
while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise
that I may answer this people?
11-12:9 And
he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we
may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy
father did put upon us lighter?
11-12:24 Thus
saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight
against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house;
for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD,
and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD.
11-18:18 And
he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in
that ye have forsaken the commandments of the
LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.
11-18:21 And
Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow
him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
11-18:24 And
call ye on the name of your gods, and I will
call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be
God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.
11-18:25 And
Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves,
and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on
the name of your gods, but put no fire under.
11-20:28 And
there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus
saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills,
but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great
multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know
that I am the LORD.
11-20:33 Now
the men did diligently observe whether any thing would come from him, and did
hastily catch it: and they said, Thy brother Benhadad. Then he said, Go ye, bring him. Then Benhadad came forth to him; and he
caused him to come up into the chariot.
11-22:3 And
the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye
that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand
of the king of Syria?
12-1:3 But
the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the
messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is
not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of
Baalzebub the god of Ekron?
12-1:5 And
when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are ye now turned back?
12-2:3 And
the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said
unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to
day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your
peace.
12-2:5 And
the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto
him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day?
And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your
peace.
12-2:16 And
they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men;
let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the spirit of
the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some
valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.
12-3:17 For
thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind,
neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall
be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.
12-3:19 And
ye shall smite every fenced city, and every
choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and
mar every good piece of land with stones.
12-6:2 Let
us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us
make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.
12-6:11 Therefore
the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called
his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not
shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?
12-6:19 And
Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow
me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye
seek. But he led them to Samaria.
12-6:32 But
Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and the king sent a man
from before him: but ere the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See ye how this son of a murderer hath sent to take away
mine head? look, when the messenger cometh, shut the door, and hold him fast at
the door: is not the sound of his master’s feet behind him?
12-7:1 Then
Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus
saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold
for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
12-9:11 Then
Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all
well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.
12-10:6 Then
he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If ye
be mine, and if ye will hearken unto my voice,
take ye the heads of the men your master’s sons,
and come to me to Jezreel by to morrow this time. Now the king’s sons, being
seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, which brought them up.
12-10:8 And
there came a messenger, and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the
king’s sons. And he said, Lay ye them in two
heaps at the entering in of the gate until the morning.
12-10:9 And
it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all
the people, Ye be righteous: behold, I conspired
against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?
12-10:13 Jehu
met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who are ye? And they answered, We are the brethren of Ahaziah;
and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.
12-11:5 And
he commanded them, saying, This is the thing that ye
shall do; A third part of you that enter in on the sabbath shall even be
keepers of the watch of the king’s house;
12-11:6 And
a third part shall be at the gate of Sur; and a third part at the gate behind
the guard: so shall ye keep the watch of the
house, that it be not broken down.
12-11:8 And
ye shall compass the king round about, every man
with his weapons in his hand: and he that cometh within the ranges, let him be
slain: and be ye with the king as he goeth out
and as he cometh in.
12-12:7 Then
king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said
unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the
house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it
for the breaches of the house.
12-17:12 For
they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.
12-17:13 Yet
the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and
by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil
ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which
I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
12-17:27 Then
the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell
there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land.
12-17:35 With
whom the LORD had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to
them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them:
12-17:36 But
the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a
stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him
shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice.
12-17:37 And
the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he
wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for
evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods.
12-17:38 And
the covenant that I have made with you ye shall
not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods.
12-17:39 But
the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall
deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.
12-18:19 And
Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah,
Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein
thou trustest?
12-18:22 But
if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God:
is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away,
and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall
worship before this altar in Jerusalem?
12-18:31 Hearken
not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me
by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye
every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern:
12-18:32 Until
I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine,
a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto
Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.
12-19:6 And
Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your
master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words which thou hast heard,
with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
12-19:10 Thus
shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah,
saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem
shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
12-19:29 And
this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat
this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which
springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye,
and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof.
12-22:13 Go
ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the
people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for
great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers
have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that
which is written concerning us.
12-22:18 But
to the king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As
touching the words which thou hast heard;
13-12:17 And
David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart
shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to
betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of
our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
13-15:12 And
said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers
of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and
your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of
the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
13-15:13 For
because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our
God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
13-16:9 Sing
unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all
his wondrous works.
13-16:10 Glory
ye in his holy name: let the heart of them
rejoice that seek the LORD.
13-16:13 O
ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
13-16:15 Be
ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which
he commanded to a thousand generations;
13-16:19 When
ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in
it.
13-16:28 Give
unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give
unto the LORD glory and strength.
13-16:35 And
say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and
gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to
thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.
13-17:6 Wheresoever
I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel,
whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye
not built me an house of cedars?
13-22:19 Now
set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and
build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring
the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the
house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.
13-28:8 Now
therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the
audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your
God: that ye may possess this good land, and
leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
14-7:19 But
if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments,
which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship
them;
14-10:6 And
king Rehoboam took counsel with the old men that had stood before Solomon his
father while he yet lived, saying, What counsel give ye
me to return answer to this people?
14-10:9 And
he said unto them, What advice give ye that we
may return answer to this people, which have spoken to me, saying, Ease
somewhat the yoke that thy father did put upon us?
14-11:4 Thus
saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight
against your brethren: return every man to his house: for this thing is done of
me. And they obeyed the words of the LORD, and returned from going against
Jeroboam.
14-12:5 Then
came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, that were
gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus
saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and
therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
14-13:5 Ought
ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave
the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a
covenant of salt?
14-13:8 And
now ye think to withstand the kingdom of the
LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and ye be
a great multitude, and there are with you golden calves, which Jeroboam made
you for gods.
14-13:9 Have
ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the
sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of
the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with
a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no
gods.
14-13:11 And
they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and
sweet incense: the shewbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and
the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we
keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have
forsaken him.
14-13:12 And,
behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding
trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.
14-15:2 And
he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye
me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye
seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye
forsake him, he will forsake you.
14-15:7 Be
ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be
weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
14-18:14 And
when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to
Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into
your hand.
14-18:25 Then
the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and
carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;
14-18:27 And
Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the LORD spoken
by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people.
14-18:30 Now
the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that were with
him, saying, Fight ye not with small or great,
save only with the king of Israel.
14-19:6 And
said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.
14-19:9 And
he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the
fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.
14-19:10 And
what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities,
between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against
the LORD, and so wrath come upon you,
and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall
not trespass.
14-20:15 And
he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king
Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason
of this great multitude; for the battle is
not yours, but God’s.
14-20:16 To
morrow go ye down against them: behold, they
come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find
them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.
14-20:17 Ye shall not need
to fight in this battle: set
yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and
Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the
LORD will be with you.
14-20:20 And
they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa:
and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your
God, so shall ye be established; believe his
prophets, so shall ye prosper.
14-23:4 This
is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the
sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall
be porters of the doors;
14-23:7 And
the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in
his hand; and whosoever else cometh
into the house, he shall be put to death: but be ye
with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.
14-24:5 And
he gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said to them, Go out unto
the cities of Judah, and gather of all Israel money to repair the house of your
God from year to year, and see that ye hasten
the matter. Howbeit the Levites hastened it
not.
14-24:20 And
the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which
stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye
have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
14-28:9 But
a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was
Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto
them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he
hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have
slain them in a rage that reacheth up
unto heaven.
14-28:10 And
now ye purpose to keep under the children of
Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the LORD
your God?
14-28:11 Now
hear me therefore, and deliver the captives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce
wrath of the LORD is upon you.
14-28:13 And
said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the
captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye
intend to add more to our sins and to
our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.
14-29:5 And
said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites, sanctify
now yourselves, and sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and
carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place.
14-29:8 Wherefore
the wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath delivered them to
trouble, to astonishment, and to hissing, as ye
see with your eyes.
14-29:11 My
sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before him,
to serve him, and that ye should minister unto
him, and burn incense.
14-29:31 Then
Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have
consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank
offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in
sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.
14-30:6 So
the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all
Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the LORD God of
Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are
escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.
14-30:7 And
be not ye like your fathers, and like your
brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation,
as ye see.
14-30:8 Now
be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the
LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and
serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.
14-30:9 For
if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren
and your children shall find compassion
before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this
land: for the LORD your God is gracious
and merciful, and will not turn away his face
from you, if ye return unto him.
14-32:10 Thus
saith Sennacherib king of Assyria, Whereon do ye
trust, that ye abide in the siege in Jerusalem?
14-32:12 Hath
not the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded
Judah and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall worship
before one altar, and burn incense upon it?
14-32:13 Know
ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all
the people of other lands? were the
gods of the nations of those lands any ways able to deliver their lands out of
mine hand?
14-34:23 And
she answered them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell ye the man that sent you to me,
14-34:26 And
as for the king of Judah, who sent you to enquire of the LORD, so shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which thou hast
heard;
15-4:2 Then
they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them,
Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye
do; and we do sacrifice unto him
since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither.
15-4:3 But
Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel,
said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to
build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the LORD
God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us.
15-4:18 The
letter which ye sent unto us hath been plainly
read before me.
15-4:21 Give
ye now commandment to cause these men to cease,
and that this city be not builded, until another
commandment shall be given from me.
15-4:22 Take
heed now that ye fail not to do this: why should
damage grow to the hurt of the kings?
15-6:6 Now
therefore, Tatnai, governor beyond
the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the Apharsachites, which are beyond the river, be ye far from thence:
15-6:8 Moreover
I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders
of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king’s goods, even of the tribute beyond the river,
forthwith expenses be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.
15-7:25 And
thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all
the people that are beyond the river,
all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye
them that know them not.
15-8:28 And
I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the LORD; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.
15-8:29 Watch
ye, and keep them,
until ye weigh them before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of
the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the LORD.
15-9:11 Which
thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the
filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have
filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.
15-9:12 Now
therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters
unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and
leave it for an inheritance to your
children for ever.
15-10:10 And
Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye
have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of
Israel.
16-1:8 Remember,
I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye
transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:
16-1:9 But
if ye
turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you
cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the
place that I have chosen to set my name there.
16-2:17 Then
said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned
with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more
a reproach.
16-2:19 But
when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem
the Arabian, heard it, they laughed
us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king?
16-2:20 Then
answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us;
therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye
have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.
16-4:12 And
it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said unto us
ten times, From all places whence ye shall
return unto us they will be upon you.
16-4:14 And
I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the
rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them:
remember the Lord, which is great and
terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your
wives, and your houses.
16-4:20 In
what place therefore ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall fight for us.
16-5:7 Then
I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said
unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his
brother. And I set a great assembly against them.
16-5:8 And
I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews,
which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye
even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their
peace, and found nothing to answer.
16-5:9 Also
I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to
walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?
16-5:11 Restore,
I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their
oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them.
16-8:10 Then
he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send
portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our
Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the
LORD is your strength.
16-8:11 So
the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.
16-13:17 Then
I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye
do, and profane the sabbath day?
16-13:18 Did
not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and
upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon
Israel by profaning the sabbath.
16-13:21 Then
I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From
that time forth came they no more on
the sabbath.
16-13:25 And
I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked
off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying,
Ye shall not give your daughters unto their
sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.
17-4:16 Go,
gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night
or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the
king, which is not according to the law:
and if I perish, I perish.
17-8:8 Write
ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the
king’s name, and seal it with the
king’s ring: for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed
with the king’s ring, may no man reverse.
18-6:21 For
now ye are nothing; ye
see my casting down, and are afraid.
18-6:26 Do
ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of
one that is desperate, which are as
wind?
18-6:27 Yea,
ye overwhelm the fatherless, and ye dig a pit for
your friend.
18-12:2 No
doubt but ye are
the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
18-13:2 What
ye know, the
same do I know also: I am not
inferior unto you.
18-13:4 But
ye are forgers
of lies, ye are
all physicians of no value.
18-13:5 O
that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it
should be your wisdom.
18-13:7 Will
ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully
for him?
18-13:8 Will
ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
18-13:9 Is
it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock
him?
18-13:10 He
will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly
accept persons.
18-16:2 I
have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all.
18-16:4 I
also could speak as ye do: if your soul were in my soul’s stead, I could heap up words
against you, and shake mine head at you.
18-17:10 But
as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for
I cannot find one wise man among you.
18-18:2 How
long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will
speak.
18-19:2 How
long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces
with words?
18-19:3 These
ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that
ye make yourselves strange to me.
18-19:5 If
indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
18-19:21 Have
pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my
friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
18-19:22 Why
do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied
with my flesh?
18-19:28 But
ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the
root of the matter is found in me?
18-19:29 Be
ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword,
that ye may know there is a judgment.
18-21:27 Behold,
I know your thoughts, and the devices which
ye wrongfully imagine against me.
18-21:28 For
ye say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?
18-21:29 Have
ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
18-21:34 How
then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your
answers there remaineth falsehood?
18-27:12 Behold,
all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether
vain?
18-32:6 And
Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid,
and durst not shew you mine opinion.
18-32:11 Behold,
I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
18-32:13 Lest
ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God
thrusteth him down, not man.
18-34:2 Hear
my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that
have knowledge.
18-34:10 Therefore
hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be
it from God, that he should do wickedness;
and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
18-34:18 Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
18-42:7 And
it was so, that after the LORD had
spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is
kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye
have not spoken of me the thing that is right,
as my servant Job hath.
18-42:8 Therefore
take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and
offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for
you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have
not spoken of me the thing which is right,
like my servant Job.
19-2:10 Be
wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
19-2:12 Kiss
the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled
but a little. Blessed are all they
that put their trust in him.
19-4:2 O
ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye
love vanity, and seek after leasing?
Selah.
19-6:8 Depart
from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the
LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
19-11:1 In
the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul,
Flee as a bird to your mountain?
19-14:6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the
LORD is his refuge.
19-22:23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
19-24:7 Lift
up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye
everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
19-24:9 Lift
up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye
everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
19-27:8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD,
will I seek.
19-29:1 Give
unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD
glory and strength.
19-30:4 Sing
unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give
thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
19-31:23 O
love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful,
and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
19-31:24 Be
of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
19-32:9 Be
ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have
no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they
come near unto thee.
19-32:11 Be
glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and
shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
19-33:1 Rejoice
in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
19-34:9 O
fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
19-34:11 Come,
ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you
the fear of the LORD.
19-47:1 O
clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God
with the voice of triumph.
19-47:7 For
God is the King of all the earth:
sing ye praises with understanding.
19-48:13 Mark
ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that
ye may tell it
to the generation following.
19-49:1 Hear
this, all ye
people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:
19-50:22 Now
consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
19-58:1 Do
ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation?
do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
19-58:2 Yea,
in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
19-62:3 How
long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be,
and as a tottering fence.
19-62:8 Trust
in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
19-66:1 Make
a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
19-66:8 O
bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of
his praise to be heard:
19-66:16 Come
and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
19-68:13 Though
ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye
be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow
gold.
19-68:16 Why
leap ye, ye high
hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the
LORD will dwell in it for ever.
19-68:26 Bless
ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of
Israel.
19-68:32 Sing
unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing
praises unto the Lord; Selah:
19-68:34 Ascribe
ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
19-82:2 How
long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the
persons of the wicked? Selah.
19-82:6 I
have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children
of the most High.
19-82:7 But
ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the
princes.
19-90:3 Thou
turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye
children of men.
19-94:8 Understand,
ye brutish among the people: and ye fools,
when will ye be wise?
19-95:7 For
he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the
sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his
voice,
19-96:7 Give
unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give
unto the LORD glory and strength.
19-97:7 Confounded
be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship
him, all ye
gods.
19-97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the
souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
19-97:12 Rejoice
in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at
the remembrance of his holiness.
19-99:5 Exalt
ye the LORD our God, and worship at his
footstool; for he is holy.
19-100:1 Make
a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
19-100:3 Know
ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of
his pasture.
19-103:20 Bless
the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength,
that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
19-103:21 Bless
ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his
pleasure.
19-104:35 Let
the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless
thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.
19-105:2 Sing
unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all
his wondrous works.
19-105:3 Glory
ye in his holy name: let the heart of them
rejoice that seek the LORD.
19-105:6 O
ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
19-105:45 That
they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
19-106:1 Praise
ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-106:48 Blessed
be the LORD God of Israel from
everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.
19-111:1 Praise
ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright,
and in the congregation.
19-112:1 Praise
ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth
the LORD, that delighteth greatly in
his commandments.
19-113:1 Praise
ye the LORD. Praise, O ye
servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.
19-113:9 He
maketh the barren woman to keep house, and
to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye
the LORD.
19-114:6 Ye mountains, that
ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
19-115:11 Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
19-115:15 Ye are blessed
of the LORD which made heaven and earth.
19-116:19 In
the courts of the Lord’s house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
19-117:1 O
Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all
ye people.
19-117:2 For
his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
19-119:115 Depart
from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the
commandments of my God.
19-134:1 Behold,
bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by
night stand in the house of the LORD.
19-135:1 Praise
ye the LORD. Praise ye
the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.
19-135:2 Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts
of the house of our God,
19-135:20 Bless
the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the
LORD, bless the LORD.
19-135:21 Blessed
be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
19-139:19 Surely
thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
19-146:1 Praise
ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.
19-146:10 The
LORD shall reign for ever, even thy
God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the
LORD.
19-147:1 Praise
ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise
is comely.
19-147:20 He
hath not dealt so with any nation: and as
for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.
19-148:1 Praise
ye the LORD. Praise ye
the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
19-148:2 Praise
ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
19-148:3 Praise
ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
19-148:4 Praise
him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be
above the heavens.
19-148:7 Praise
the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all
deeps:
19-148:14 He
also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people
near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.
19-149:1 Praise
ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of
saints.
19-149:9 To
execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise
ye the LORD.
19-150:1 Praise
ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise
him in the firmament of his power.
19-150:6 Let
every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye
the LORD.
20-1:22 How
long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their
scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
20-1:24 Because
I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched
out my hand, and no man regarded;
20-1:25 But
ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would
none of my reproof:
20-4:1 Hear,
ye children, the instruction of a father, and
attend to know understanding.
20-4:2 For
I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
20-5:7 Hear
me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not
from the words of my mouth.
20-7:24 Hearken
unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend
to the words of my mouth.
20-8:5 O
ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an
understanding heart.
20-8:32 Now
therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for
blessed are they that keep my ways.
22-1:5 I
am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as
the curtains of Solomon.
22-2:7 I
charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the
roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir
not up, nor awake my love, till he
please.
22-3:3 The
watchmen that go about the city found me: to
whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?
22-3:5 I
charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the
roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir
not up, nor awake my love, till he
please.
22-3:11 Go
forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king
Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his
espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.
22-5:8 I
charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find
my beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick of love.
22-6:13 Return,
return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two
armies.
22-8:4 I
charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye
stir not up, nor awake my love, until
he please.
23-1:5 Why
should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and
the whole heart faint.
23-1:10 Hear
the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give
ear unto the law of our God, ye people of
Gomorrah.
23-1:12 When
ye come to appear before me, who hath required
this at your hand, to tread my courts?
23-1:15 And
when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide
mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many
prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
23-1:19 If
ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
23-1:20 But
if ye refuse and rebel, ye
shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
23-1:29 For
they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have
desired, and ye shall be confounded for the
gardens that ye have chosen.
23-1:30 For
ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as
a garden that hath no water.
23-2:3 And
many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let
us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he
will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall
go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
23-2:5 O
house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the
light of the LORD.
23-2:22 Cease
ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
23-3:10 Say
ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for
they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
23-3:14 The
LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes
thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the
spoil of the poor is in your houses.
23-3:15 What
mean ye that
ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the
faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
23-6:9 And
he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye
indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed,
but perceive not.
23-7:9 And
the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and
the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s
son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
23-7:13 And
he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary
men, but will ye weary my God also?
23-8:9 Associate
yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.
23-8:12 Say
ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A
confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be
afraid.
23-10:3 And
what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in
the desolation which shall come from
far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where
will ye leave your glory?
23-12:3 Therefore
with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of
salvation.
23-12:4 And
in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call
upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name
is exalted.
23-13:2 Lift
ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the
voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
23-13:6 Howl
ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
23-16:1 Send
ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela
to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
23-16:7 Therefore
shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of
Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.
23-18:2 That
sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye
swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from
their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the
rivers have spoiled!
23-18:3 All
ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the
earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on
the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
23-19:11 Surely
the princes of Zoan are fools, the
counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am
the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
23-21:5 Prepare
the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye
princes, and anoint the shield.
23-21:12 The
watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye:
return, come.
23-21:13 The
burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye
lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.
23-22:9 Ye have seen also the breaches of the city of David,
that they are many: and ye gathered together the
waters of the lower pool.
23-22:10 And
ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and
the houses have ye broken down to fortify the
wall.
23-22:11 Ye made also a ditch between the two walls for the
water of the old pool: but ye have not looked
unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that fashioned it long
ago.
23-22:14 And
it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall
not be purged from you till ye die, saith the
Lord GOD of hosts.
23-23:1 The
burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for
it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of
Chittim it is revealed to them.
23-23:2 Be
still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the
merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
23-23:6 Pass
ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle.
23-23:14 Howl,
ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid
waste.
23-24:15 Wherefore
glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel
in the isles of the sea.
23-26:2 Open
ye the gates, that the righteous nation which
keepeth the truth may enter in.
23-26:4 Trust
ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH
is everlasting strength:
23-26:19 Thy
dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they
arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust:
for thy dew is as the dew of herbs,
and the earth shall cast out the dead.
23-27:2 In
that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red
wine.
23-27:12 And
it shall come to pass in that day, that the
LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and
ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.
23-28:12 To
whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye
may cause the weary to rest; and this is the
refreshing: yet they would not hear.
23-28:14 Wherefore
hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that
rule this people which is in
Jerusalem.
23-28:15 Because
ye have said, We have made a covenant with
death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall
pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and
under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
23-28:18 And
your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell
shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
23-28:22 Now
therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be
made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even
determined upon the whole earth.
23-28:23 Give
ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my
speech.
23-29:1 Woe
to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David
dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.
23-29:9 Stay
yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry:
they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
23-30:12 Wherefore
thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye
despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
23-30:15 For
thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be
your strength: and ye would not.
23-30:16 But
ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses;
therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon
the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
23-30:17 One
thousand shall flee at the rebuke of
one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and
as an ensign on an hill.
23-30:21 And
thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
23-30:22 Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images
of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them
away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.
23-30:29 Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and
gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of
the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.
23-31:6 Turn
ye unto him
from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
23-32:9 Rise
up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
23-32:10 Many
days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the
gathering shall not come.
23-32:11 Tremble,
ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and
gird sackcloth upon your loins.
23-32:20 Blessed
are ye
that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither
the feet of the ox and the ass.
23-33:11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye
shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as
fire, shall devour you.
23-33:13 Hear,
ye that
are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.
23-34:1 Come
near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is
therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it.
23-34:16 Seek
ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one
of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded,
and his spirit it hath gathered them.
23-35:3 Strengthen
ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
23-36:4 And
Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to
Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?
23-36:7 But
if thou say to me, We trust in the LORD our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath
taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye
shall worship before this altar?
23-36:13 Then
Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and said,
Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of
Assyria.
23-36:16 Hearken
not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a
present, and come out to me: and eat ye every
one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern;
23-37:6 And
Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto
your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard,
wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
23-37:10 Thus
shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah,
saying, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem
shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.
23-37:30 And
this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this
year such as groweth of itself; and the second year that which springeth of
the same: and in the third year sow ye, and
reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.
23-40:1 Comfort
ye, comfort ye my
people, saith your God.
23-40:2 Speak
ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her,
that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath
received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.
23-40:3 The
voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye
the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
23-40:18 To
whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness
will ye compare unto him?
23-40:21 Have
ye not known? have ye
not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?
23-40:25 To
whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal?
saith the Holy One.
23-41:14 Fear
not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD,
and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
23-41:23 Shew
the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods:
yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.
23-41:24 Behold,
ye are of
nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.
23-42:10 Sing
unto the LORD a new song, and his
praise from the end of the earth, ye that go
down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants
thereof.
23-42:17 They
shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven
images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.
23-42:18 Hear,
ye deaf; and look, ye
blind, that ye may see.
23-43:10 Ye are my witnesses,
saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God
formed, neither shall there be after me.
23-43:12 I
have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among
you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
23-43:18 Remember
ye not the former things, neither consider the
things of old.
23-43:19 Behold,
I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
23-44:8 Fear
ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee
from that time, and have declared it? ye are even
my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
23-44:23 Sing,
O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye
lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye
mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob,
and glorified himself in Israel.
23-44:26 That
confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his
messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities
of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up
the decayed places thereof:
23-45:8 Drop
down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies
pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth
salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created
it.
23-45:11 Thus
saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come
concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
23-45:17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD
with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be
ashamed nor confounded world without end.
23-45:19 I
have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the
seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD
speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
23-45:20 Assemble
yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they
have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a
god that cannot save.
23-45:21 Tell
ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared
this from ancient time? who hath told
it from that time? have not I the
LORD? and there is no God else beside
me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none
beside me.
23-45:22 Look
unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the
earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
23-46:5 To
whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be
like?
23-46:8 Remember
this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again
to mind, O ye transgressors.
23-46:12 Hearken
unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:
23-48:1 Hear
ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by
the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear
by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
23-48:6 Thou
hast heard, see all this; and will not ye
declare it? I have shewed thee new
things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.
23-48:14 All
ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among
them hath declared these things? The
LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
23-48:16 Come
ye near unto me, hear ye
this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it
was, there am I: and now the Lord
GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.
23-48:20 Go
ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare
ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye,
The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
23-49:1 Listen,
O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from
far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath
he made mention of my name.
23-50:1 Thus
saith the LORD, Where is the bill of
your mother’s divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold,
for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and
for your transgressions is your mother put away.
23-50:11 Behold,
all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the
light of your fire, and in the sparks that
ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye
shall lie down in sorrow.
23-51:1 Hearken
to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye
are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence
ye are digged.
23-51:7 Hearken
unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people
in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
23-52:3 For
thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for
nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.
23-52:9 Break
forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places
of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed
Jerusalem.
23-52:11 Depart
ye, depart ye, go
ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye
out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear
the vessels of the LORD.
23-52:12 For
ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by
flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.
23-55:1 Ho,
every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters,
and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and
eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
23-55:2 Wherefore
do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is
good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
23-55:6 Seek
ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
23-55:12 For
ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with
peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their
hands.
23-56:1 Thus
saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do
justice: for my salvation is near to come,
and my righteousness to be revealed.
23-56:9 All
ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye
beasts in the forest.
23-56:12 Come
ye, say
they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to
morrow shall be as this day, and much
more abundant.
23-57:3 But
draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the
seed of the adulterer and the whore.
23-57:4 Against
whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and
draw out the tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,
23-57:14 And
shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling block
out of the way of my people.
23-58:3 Wherefore
have we fasted, say they, and thou
seest not? wherefore have we
afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your
fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your
labours.
23-58:4 Behold,
ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with
the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day,
to make your voice to be heard on high.
23-58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen?
to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the
oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
23-61:6 But
ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our
God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles,
and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
23-61:7 For
your shame ye
shall have double; and for confusion
they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess
the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
23-62:6 I
have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence.
23-62:10 Go
through, go through the gates; prepare ye the
way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up
a standard for the people.
23-62:11 Behold,
the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold,
his reward is with him, and his work
before him.
23-65:11 But
ye are they
that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for
that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
23-65:12 Therefore
will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all
bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye
did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear;
but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
23-65:13 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink,
but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants
shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
23-65:14 Behold,
my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye
shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
23-65:15 And
ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my
chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another
name:
23-65:18 But
be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I
create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
23-66:1 Thus
saith the LORD, The heaven is my
throne, and the earth is my
footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
23-66:5 Hear
the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his
word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said,
Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be
ashamed.
23-66:10 Rejoice
ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
23-66:11 That
ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts
of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and
be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
23-66:12 For
thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the
glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
23-66:13 As
one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
23-66:14 And
when ye see this,
your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and
the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
24-2:4 Hear
ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and
all the families of the house of Israel:
24-2:7 And
I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the
goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an
abomination.
24-2:12 Be
astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be
horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the
LORD.
24-2:29 Wherefore
will ye plead with me? ye
all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD.
24-2:31 O
generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I
been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are
lords; we will come no more unto thee?
24-3:13 Only
acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy
God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.
24-3:16 And
it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and
increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more,
The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither
shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be
done any more.
24-3:20 Surely
as a wife treacherously departeth
from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously
with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.
24-3:22 Return,
ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for
thou art the LORD our God.
24-4:4 Circumcise
yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my
fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
24-4:5 Declare
ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say,
Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather
together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.
24-4:10 Then
said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and
Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas
the sword reacheth unto the soul.
24-4:16 Make
ye mention to the nations; behold, publish
against Jerusalem, that watchers come
from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.
24-5:1 Run
ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem,
and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will
pardon it.
24-5:10 Go
ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not
a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD’S.
24-5:14 Wherefore
thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye
speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this
people wood, and it shall devour them.
24-5:19 And
it shall come to pass, when ye shall say,
Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things
unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye
have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours.
24-5:22 Fear
ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the
sand for the bound of the sea by a
perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss
themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass
over it?
24-5:31 The
prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my
people love to have it so: and what
will ye do in the end thereof?
24-6:1 O
ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to
flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a
sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great
destruction.
24-6:4 Prepare
ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at
noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are
stretched out.
24-6:6 For
thus hath the LORD of hosts said, Hew ye down
trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is
wholly oppression in the midst of her.
24-6:16 Thus
saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see,
and ask for the old paths, where is the
good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find
rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
24-6:18 Therefore
hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what
is among them.
24-7:2 Stand
in the gate of the Lord’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear
the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to
worship the LORD.
24-7:4 Trust
ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the
LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.
24-7:5 For
if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings;
if ye throughly execute judgment between a man
and his neighbour;
24-7:6 If ye
oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent
blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
24-7:8 Behold,
ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
24-7:9 Will
ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear
falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
24-7:12 But
go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at
the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
24-7:13 And
now, because ye have done all these works, saith
the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;
24-7:14 Therefore
will I do unto this house, which is
called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto
the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
24-7:23 But
this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and
ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it
may be well unto you.
24-8:8 How
do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is
in vain.
24-9:4 Take
ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly
supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.
24-9:17 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, Consider ye, and call
for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come:
24-9:20 Yet
hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let
your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and
every one her neighbour lamentation.
24-10:1 Hear
ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O
house of Israel:
24-10:11 Thus
shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not
made the heavens and the earth, even they
shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
24-11:2 Hear
ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto
the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
24-11:4 Which
I commanded your fathers in the day that I
brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying,
Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
