thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.
41-MARK
41-4:17 And have
no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction
or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake,
immediately they are offended.

01-GENESIS
01-24:30 And it
came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister’s hands,
and when he heard the words of Rebekah his
sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and,
behold, he stood by the camels at the well.
01-24:52 And it
came to pass, that, when Abraham’s servant heard their words,
he worshipped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth.
01-27:34 And when
Esau heard the words of his father, he cried
with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even
me also, O my father.

she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy
brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill
thee.
01-31:1 And he
heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, Jacob
hath taken away all that was our father’s; and of that which was
our father’s hath he gotten all this glory.
01-34:18 And their words pleased Hamor, and Shechem Hamor’s son.
01-37:8 And his
brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed
have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for
his words.
01-39:17 And she
spake unto him according to these words, saying,
The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock
me:
01-39:19 And it
came to pass, when his master heard the words of
his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant
to me; that his wrath was kindled.
01-42:16 Send one
of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that
your words may be proved, whether there be
any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.
01-42:20 But bring
your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words
be verified, and ye shall not die. And they did so.
01-43:7 And they
said, The man asked us straitly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is
your father yet alive? have ye another brother? and we told him
according to the tenor of these words: could we
certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother down?
01-44:6 And he
overtook them, and he spake unto them these same words.
01-44:7 And they
said unto him, Wherefore saith my lord these words?

01-44:10 And he
said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant;
and ye shall be blameless.
01-44:24 And it
came to pass when we came up unto thy servant my father, we told him the words of my lord.
01-45:27 And they
told him all the words of Joseph, which he had
said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him,
the spirit of Jacob their father revived:
01-49:21 Naphtali is
a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
02-4:15 And thou
shalt speak unto him, and put words in his
mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you
what ye shall do.
02-4:28 And Moses
told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had
sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.
02-4:30 And Aaron
spake all the words which the LORD had spoken
unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
02-5:9 Let
there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them
not regard vain words.
02-19:6 And ye
shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the
words which thou shalt speak unto the children
of Israel.
02-19:7 And Moses
came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all
these words which the LORD commanded him.
02-19:8 And all
the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will
do. And Moses returned the words of the people
unto the LORD.
02-19:9 And the
LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people
may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.
02-20:1 And God spake
all these words, saying,
02-23:8 And thou
shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
02-24:3 And Moses
came and told the people all the words of the
LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and
said, All the words which the LORD hath said
will we do.
02-24:4 And Moses
wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up
early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars,
according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
02-24:8 And Moses
took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the
blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
02-34:1 And the
LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I
will write upon these tables the words
that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.
02-34:27 And the
LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words:
for after the tenor of these words I have made a
covenant with thee and with Israel.
02-34:28 And he was
there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor
drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words
of the covenant, the ten commandments.
02-35:1 And Moses
gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto
them, These are the words which the LORD
hath commanded, that ye should do them.
04-11:24 And Moses
went out, and told the people the words of the
LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them
round about the tabernacle.
04-12:6 And he
said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet
among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and
will speak unto him in a dream.
04-16:31 And it
came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under
them:
04-22:7 And the
elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination
in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spake unto him the words of Balak.
04-24:4 He hath
said, which heard the words of God, which saw
the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes
open:
04-24:16 He hath
said, which heard the words of God, and knew the
knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty,
falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
05-1:1 These be
the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on
this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between
Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.
05-1:34 And the
LORD heard the voice of your words, and was
wroth, and sware, saying,
05-2:26 And I
sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth unto Sihon king of Heshbon
with words of peace, saying,
05-4:10 Specially
the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD
said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days
that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their
children.
05-4:12 And the
LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a
voice.
05-4:36 Out of
heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon
earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.
05-5:22 These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the
mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness,
with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of
stone, and delivered them unto me.
05-5:28 And the
LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye
spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto
thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.
05-6:6 And
these words, which I command thee this day,
shall be in thine heart:
05-9:10 And the
LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and
on them was written according to all the words,
which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the
day of the assembly.
05-10:2 And I
will write on the tables the words that were in
the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
05-11:18 Therefore
shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and
in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as
frontlets between your eyes.
05-12:28 Observe
and hear all these words which I command thee,
that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when
thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy
God.
05-13:3 Thou
shalt not hearken unto the words of that
prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know
whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
05-16:19 Thou shalt
not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a
gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words
of the righteous.
05-17:19 And it
shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he
may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words
of this law and these statutes, to do them:
05-18:18 I will
raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put
my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto
them all that I shall command him.
05-18:19 And it
shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it
of him.
05-27:3 And thou
shalt write upon them all the words of this law,
when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD
thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God
of thy fathers hath promised thee.
05-27:8 And thou
shalt write upon the stones all the words of
this law very plainly.
05-27:26 Cursed be
he that confirmeth not all the words
of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
05-28:14 And thou
shalt not go aside from any of the words which I
command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go
after other gods to serve them.
05-28:58 If thou
wilt not observe to do all the words of this law
that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful
name, THE LORD THY GOD;
05-29:1 These are
the words of the covenant, which the LORD
commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside
the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
05-29:9 Keep
therefore the words of this covenant, and do
them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.
05-29:19 And it
come to pass, when he heareth the words of this
curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I
walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
05-29:29 The secret
things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed
belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all
the words of this law.
05-31:1 And Moses
went and spake these words unto all Israel.
05-31:12 Gather the
people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within
thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your
God, and observe to do all the words of this
law:
05-31:24 And it
came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
05-31:28 Gather
unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak
these words in their ears, and call heaven and
earth to record against them.
05-31:30 And Moses
spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended.
05-32:1 Give ear,
O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words
of my mouth.
05-32:44 And Moses
came and spake all the words of this song in the
ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
05-32:45 And Moses
made an end of speaking all these words to all
Israel:
05-32:46 And he
said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words
which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to
observe to do, all the words of this law.
05-33:3 Yea, he
loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at
thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
06-1:18 Whosoever
he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto
thy words in all that thou commandest him, he
shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.
06-2:21 And she
said, According unto your words, so be it.
And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in
the window.
06-3:9 And
Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God.
06-8:34 And
afterward he read all the words of the law, the
blessings and cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the
law.
06-22:30 And when
Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation and heads of the
thousands of Israel which were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of
Gad and the children of Manasseh spake, it pleased them.
06-24:26 And Joshua
wrote these words in the book of the law of God,
and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by
the sanctuary of the LORD.
06-24:27 And Joshua
said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it
hath heard all the words of the LORD which he
spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.
07-2:4 And it
came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words
unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and
wept.
07-9:3 And his
mother’s brethren spake of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words: and their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech;
for they said, He is our brother.
07-9:30 And when
Zebul the ruler of the city heard the words of
Gaal the son of Ebed, his anger was kindled.
07-11:10 And the
elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, The LORD be witness between us, if we do
not so according to thy words.
07-11:11 Then
Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and
captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words
before the LORD in Mizpeh.
07-11:28 Howbeit
the king of the children of Ammon hearkened not unto the words of Jephthah which he sent him.
07-13:12 And Manoah
said, Now let thy words come to pass. How shall
we order the child, and how shall we do unto him?
07-16:16 And it
came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words,
and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;
09-3:19 And
Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
09-8:10 And
Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people
that asked of him a king.
09-8:21 And
Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he
rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD.
09-15:1 Samuel
also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his
people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
09-15:24 And Saul
said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the
LORD, and thy words: because I feared the
people, and obeyed their voice.
09-17:11 When Saul
and all Israel heard those words of the
Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.
09-17:23 And as he
talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath,
Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to
the same words: and David heard them.
09-17:31 And when
the words were heard which David spake, they
rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him.
09-18:23 And Saul’s
servants spake those words in the ears of David.
And David said, Seemeth it to you a light thing to be a king’s
son in law, seeing that I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed?
09-18:26 And when
his servants told David these words, it pleased
David well to be the king’s son in law: and the days were not expired.
09-21:12 And David
laid up these words in his heart, and was sore
afraid of Achish the king of Gath.
09-24:7 So David
stayed his servants with these words, and
suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and
went on his way.
09-24:9 And David
said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men’s words,
saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?
09-24:16 And it
came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul, that Saul said, Is this thy voice,
my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept.
09-25:9 And when
David’s young men came, they spake to Nabal according to all those words in the name of David, and ceased.
09-25:24 And fell
at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity
be: and let thine handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thine audience, and
hear the words of thine handmaid.
09-26:19 Now
therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words
of his servant. If the LORD have stirred thee up against me, let him accept an
offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed be they
before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the
inheritance of the LORD, saying, Go, serve other gods.
09-28:20 Then Saul fell
straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for
he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.
09-28:21 And the
woman came unto Saul, and saw that he was sore troubled, and said unto him,
Behold, thine handmaid hath obeyed thy voice, and I have put my life in my
hand, and have hearkened unto thy words which
thou spakest unto me.
10-3:8 Then was
Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth,
and said, Am I a dog’s head, which against Judah do shew kindness this
day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and
have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day
with a fault concerning this woman?
10-7:17 According
to all these words, and according to all this
vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
10-7:28 And now,
O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words
be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:
10-14:3 And come
to the king, and speak on this manner unto him. So Joab put the words in her mouth.
10-14:19 And the
king said, Is not the hand of Joab with thee in all this? And the woman
answered and said, As thy soul liveth, my lord the king, none can turn
to the right hand or to the left from ought that my lord the king hath spoken:
for thy servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words
in the mouth of thine handmaid:
10-19:43 And the
men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the
king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye
despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king?
And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer
than the words of the men of Israel.
10-20:17 And when he
was come near unto her, the woman said, Art thou Joab? And he answered,
I am he. Then she said unto him, Hear the words
of thine handmaid. And he answered, I do hear.
10-22:1 And David
spake unto the LORD the words of this song in
the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his
enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:
10-23:1 Now these
be the last words of David. David the son
of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the
God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,
11-1:14 Behold,
while thou yet talkest there with the king, I also will come in after thee, and
confirm thy words.
11-3:12 Behold, I
have done according to thy words: lo, I have
given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee
before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
11-5:7 And it
came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of
Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this
day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.
11-8:59 And let
these my words, wherewith I have made
supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that
he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all
times, as the matter shall require:
11-10:7 Howbeit I
believed not the words, until I came, and mine
eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and
prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.
11-12:7 And they
spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day,
and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words
to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.
11-13:11 Now there dwelt
an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the
man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words
which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
11-21:27 And it
came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that
he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in
sackcloth, and went softly.
11-22:13 And the
messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the
words of the prophets declare good unto
the king with one mouth: let thy word, I
pray thee, be like the word of one of them,
and speak that which is good.
12-1:7 And he
said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and
told you these words?
12-6:12 And one
of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is
in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words
that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.
12-6:30 And it
came to pass, when the king heard the words of
the woman, that he rent his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the
people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh.
12-18:20 Thou
sayest, (but they are but vain words), I
have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou
rebellest against me?
12-18:27 But
Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to
speak these words? hath he not sent me
to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink
their own piss with you?
12-18:37 Then came
Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the
scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes
rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.
12-19:4 It may be
the LORD thy God will hear all the words of
Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living
God; and will reprove the words which the LORD
thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that
are left.
12-19:6 And
Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD,
Be not afraid of the words which thou hast
heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
12-19:16 LORD, bow
down thine ear, and hear: open, LORD, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach
the living God.
12-22:11 And it
came to pass, when the king had heard the words
of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes.
12-22:13 Go ye,
enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning
the words of this book that is found: for great is
the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have
not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do
according unto all that which is written concerning us.
12-22:16 Thus saith
the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants
thereof, even all the words of the book
which the king of Judah hath read:
12-22:18 But to the
king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him,
Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard;
12-23:2 And the
king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the
inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all
the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in
the house of the LORD.
12-23:3 And the king
stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD,
and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their
heart and all their soul, to perform the words
of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to
the covenant.
12-23:16 And as
Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that were there in the
mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon
the altar, and polluted it, according to the word
of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.
12-23:24 Moreover
the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and
the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in
Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that
Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.
13-17:15 According
to all these words, and according to all this vision,
so did Nathan speak unto David.
13-23:27 For by the
last words of David the Levites were numbered
from twenty years old and above:
13-25:5 All these
were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words
of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three
daughters.
14-9:6 Howbeit
I believed not their words, until I came, and
mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy
wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
14-10:7 And they
spake unto him, saying, If thou be kind to this people, and please them, and
speak good words to them, they will be thy
servants for ever.
14-11:4 Thus
saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren: return
every man to his house: for this thing is done of me. And they obeyed the words of the LORD, and returned from going against
Jeroboam.
14-15:8 And when
Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded
the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the
land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount
Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of
the LORD.
14-18:12 And the
messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king
with one assent; let thy word therefore, I
pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
14-29:15 And they
gathered their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and came, according to the
commandment of the king, by the words of the
LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD.
14-29:30 Moreover
Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the
LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the
seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and
worshipped.
14-32:8 With him is
an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to
fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
14-33:18 Now the
rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of
the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the
kings of Israel.
14-34:19 And it
came to pass, when the king had heard the words
of the law, that he rent his clothes.
14-34:21 Go,
enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah,
concerning the words of the book that is found:
for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because
our fathers have not kept the word of the
LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.
14-34:26 And as for
the king of Judah, who sent you to enquire of the LORD, so shall ye say unto
him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which thou hast heard;
14-34:27 Because
thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou
heardest his words against this place, and
against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst
rend thy clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard thee also, saith
the LORD.
14-34:30 And the
king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the
inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people,
great and small: and he read in their ears all the words
of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the LORD.
14-34:31 And the
king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the
LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with
all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words
of the covenant which are written in this book.
14-35:22 Nevertheless
Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might
fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words
of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
14-36:16 But they
mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words,
and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people,
till there was no remedy.
15-7:11 Now this is
the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest,
the scribe, even a scribe of the words of
the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel.
15-9:4 Then
were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words
of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been
carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.
16-1:1 The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to
pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the
palace,
16-1:4 And it
came to pass, when I heard these words, that I
sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed
before the God of heaven,
16-2:18 Then I
told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let
us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
16-5:6 And I
was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.
16-6:6 Wherein was
written, It is reported among the heathen, and Gashmu saith it, that thou
and the Jews think to rebel: for which cause thou buildest the wall, that thou
mayest be their king, according to these words.
16-6:7 And thou
hast also appointed prophets to preach of thee at Jerusalem, saying, There
is a king in Judah: and now shall it be reported to the king according to
these words. Come now therefore, and let us take
counsel together.
16-6:19 Also they
reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words
to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.
16-8:9 And
Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and
the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy
unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they
heard the words of the law.
16-8:12 And all
the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to
make great mirth, because they had understood the words
that were declared unto them.
16-8:13 And on
the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the
people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand
the words of the law.
16-9:8 And
foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give
the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and
the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and
hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:
17-4:9 And
Hatach came and told Esther the words of
Mordecai.
17-4:12 And they
told to Mordecai Esther’s words.
17-9:26 Wherefore
they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they
had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,
17-9:30 And he
sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces
of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words
of peace and truth,
18-4:4 Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou
hast strengthened the feeble knees.
18-6:3 For now
it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up.
18-6:10 Then
should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not
spare; for I have not concealed the words of the
Holy One.
18-6:25 How
forcible are right words! but what doth your
arguing reprove?
18-6:26 Do ye
imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of
one that is desperate, which are as wind?
18-8:2 How long
wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
18-8:10 Shall not
they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words
out of their heart?
18-9:14 How much
less shall I answer him, and choose out my words
to reason with him?
18-11:2 Should
not the multitude of words be answered? and
should a man full of talk be justified?
18-12:11 Doth not
the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?
18-15:13 That thou
turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?
18-16:3 Shall
vain words have an end? or what emboldeneth thee
that thou answerest?
18-16:4 I also
could speak as ye do: if your soul were in my soul’s stead, I could heap
up words against you, and shake mine head at
you.
18-18:2 How long will
it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and
afterwards we will speak.
18-19:2 How long
will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?
18-19:23 Oh that my
words were now written! oh that they were
printed in a book!
18-22:22 Receive, I
pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words
in thine heart.
18-23:5 I would
know the words which he would answer me,
and understand what he would say unto me.
18-23:12 Neither
have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
18-26:4 To whom
hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came
from thee?
18-29:22 After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon
them.
18-31:40 Let
thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.
18-32:11 Behold, I
waited for your words; I gave ear to your
reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
18-32:12 Yea, I
attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced
Job, or that answered his words:
18-32:14 Now he
hath not directed his words against me:
neither will I answer him with your speeches.
18-33:1 Wherefore,
Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.
18-33:3 My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart:
and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
18-33:5 If thou
canst answer me, set thy words in order
before me, stand up.
18-33:8 Surely
thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,
18-34:2 Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye
that have knowledge.
18-34:3 For the
ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.
18-34:16 If now thou
hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.
18-34:35 Job hath
spoken without knowledge, and his words were without
wisdom.
18-34:37 For he
addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and
multiplieth his words against God.
18-35:16 Therefore
doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words
without knowledge.
18-36:4 For truly
my words shall not be false: he
that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.
18-38:2 Who is
this that darkeneth counsel by words without
knowledge?
18-41:3 Will he
make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?
18-42:7 And it
was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words
unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against
thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing
that is right, as my servant Job hath.
19-5:1 Give ear
to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
19-7:title Shiggaion of David, which he sang
unto the LORD, concerning the words of Cush the
Benjamite.
19-12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth,
purified seven times.
19-18:title To the chief Musician, A Psalm of
David, the servant of the LORD, who spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD
delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And
he said,
19-19:4 Their
line is gone out through all the earth, and their words
to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
19-19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be
acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
19-22:1 My God,
my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and
from the words of my roaring?
19-36:3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he
hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
19-50:17 Seeing
thou hatest instruction, and castest my words
behind thee.
19-52:4 Thou
lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful
tongue.
19-54:2 Hear my
prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my
mouth.
19-55:21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but
war was in his heart: his words were
softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
19-56:5 Every day
they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against
me for evil.
19-59:12 For the
sin of their mouth and the words of their
lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they
speak.
19-64:3 Who whet
their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their
arrows, even bitter words:
19-78:1 Give ear,
O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
19-106:12 Then
believed they his words; they sang his praise.
19-107:11 Because
they rebelled against the words of God, and
contemned the counsel of the most High:
19-109:3 They
compassed me about also with words of hatred;
and fought against me without a cause.
19-119:57 CHETH.
Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.
19-119:103 How sweet
are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than
honey to my mouth!
19-119:130 The entrance
of thy words giveth light; it giveth
understanding unto the simple.
19-119:139 My zeal hath
consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
19-138:4 All the
kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
19-141:6 When their
judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
20-1:2 To know
wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of
understanding;
20-1:6 To
understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words
of the wise, and their dark sayings.
20-1:21 She
crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the
city she uttereth her words, saying,
20-1:23 Turn you
at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my
words unto you.
20-2:1 My son,
if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my
commandments with thee;
20-2:16 To
deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth
with her words;
20-4:4 He
taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
20-4:5 Get
wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
20-4:20 My son,
attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my
sayings.
20-5:7 Hear me
now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words
of my mouth.
20-6:2 Thou art
snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art
taken with the words of thy mouth.
20-7:1 My son,
keep my words, and lay up my commandments with
thee.
20-7:5 That
they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth
with her words.
20-7:24 Hearken
unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
20-8:8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there
is nothing froward or perverse in them.
20-10:19 In the
multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he
that refraineth his lips is wise.
20-12:6 The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for
blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
20-15:1 A soft answer
turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up
anger.
20-15:26 The
thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
20-16:24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul,
and health to the bones.
20-17:27 He that
hath knowledge spareth his words: and a
man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.
20-18:4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and
the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.
20-18:8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they
go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
20-19:7 All the
brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him?
he pursueth them with words, yet they
are wanting to him.
20-19:27 Cease, my
son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.
20-22:12 The eyes
of the LORD preserve knowledge, and he overthroweth the words of the transgressor.
20-22:17 Bow down
thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and
apply thine heart unto my knowledge.
20-22:21 That I
might make thee know the certainty of the words
of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of
truth to them that send unto thee?
20-23:8 The
morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.
20-23:9 Speak not
in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
20-23:12 Apply
thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words
of knowledge.
20-26:22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they
go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
20-29:19 A servant
will not be corrected by words: for though he
understand he will not answer.
20-29:20 Seest thou
a man that is hasty in his words? there
is more hope of a fool than of him.
20-30:1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the
prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
20-30:6 Add thou
not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and
thou be found a liar.
20-31:1 The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother
taught him.
21-1:1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in
Jerusalem.
21-5:2 Be not
rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing
before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy
words be few.
21-5:3 For a
dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by
multitude of words.
21-5:7 For in
the multitude of dreams and many words there
are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.
21-7:21 Also take
no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest
thou hear thy servant curse thee:
21-9:16 Then said
I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is
despised, and his words are not heard.
21-9:17 The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than
the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
21-10:12 The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious; but
the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.
21-10:13 The
beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness:
and the end of his talk is mischievous madness.
21-10:14 A fool
also is full of words: a man cannot tell what
shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him?
21-12:10 The
preacher sought to find out acceptable words:
and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
21-12:11 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails
fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one
shepherd.
23-29:11 And the
vision of all is become unto you as the words of
a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying,
Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
23-29:18 And in
that day shall the deaf hear the words of the
book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of
darkness.
23-31:2 Yet he
also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the
evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
23-32:7 The
instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to
destroy the poor with lying words, even when the
needy speaketh right.
23-36:5 I say, sayest
thou, (but they are but vain words) I
have counsel and strength for war: now on whom dost thou trust, that thou
rebellest against me?
23-36:12 But
Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these
words? hath he not sent me to the
men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their
own piss with you?
23-36:13 Then
Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and said,
Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of
Assyria.
23-36:22 Then came
Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the
scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes
rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.
23-37:4 It may be
the LORD thy God will hear the words of
Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living
God, and will reprove the words which the LORD
thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is
left.
23-37:6 And
Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the LORD,
Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard,
wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
23-37:17 Incline
thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the
words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to
reproach the living God.
23-41:26 Who hath
declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say,
He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there
is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.
23-51:16 And I have
put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered
thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the
foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.
23-58:13 If thou
turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy
day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and
shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor
speaking thine own words:
23-59:13 In
transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking
oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
23-59:21 As for me,
this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon
thee, and my words which I have put in thy
mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor
out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for
ever.
24-1:1 The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests
that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:
24-1:9 Then the
LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me,
Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
24-3:12 Go and
proclaim these words toward the north, and say,
Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause
mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I
will not keep anger for ever.
24-5:14 Wherefore
thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words
in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
24-6:19 Hear, O
earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of
their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.
24-7:4 Trust ye
not in lying words, saying, The temple of the
LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.
24-7:8 Behold,
ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
24-7:27 Therefore
thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but
they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will
not answer thee.
24-11:2 Hear ye
the words of this covenant, and speak unto the
men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
24-11:3 And say
thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man
that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,
24-11:6 Then the
LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in
the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them.
24-11:8 Yet they
obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of
their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to
do; but they did them not.
24-11:10 They are
turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them:
the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made
with their fathers.
24-12:6 For even
thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously
with thee; yea, they have called a multitude after thee: believe them not,
though they speak fair words unto thee.
24-13:10 This evil
people, which refuse to hear my words, which
walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve
them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for
nothing.
24-15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart:
for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
24-16:10 And it
shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath
the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity?
or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?
24-18:2 Arise,
and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
24-18:18 Then said they,
Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish
from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word
from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not
give heed to any of his words.
24-19:2 And go
forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the
east gate, and proclaim there the words that I
shall tell thee,
24-19:15 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and
upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they
have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
24-22:5 But if ye
will not hear these words, I swear by myself,
saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.
24-23:9 Mine
heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am
like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the
LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.
24-23:16 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of
the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of
their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
24-23:22 But if
they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their
evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
24-23:30 Therefore,
behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.
24-23:36 And the
burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted
the words of the living God, of the LORD of
hosts our God.
24-25:8 Therefore
thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words,
24-25:13 And I will
bring upon that land all my words which I have
pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which
Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
24-25:30 Therefore
prophesy thou against them all these words, and
say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his
holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a
shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the
earth.
24-26:2 Thus
saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD’S house, and speak unto all the
cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD’S house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish
not a word:
24-26:5 To
hearken to the words of my servants the
prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and sending them, but
ye have not hearkened;
24-26:7 So the
priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD.
24-26:12 Then spake
Jeremiah unto all the princes and to all the people, saying, The LORD sent me
to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that ye have heard.
24-26:15 But know
ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent
blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof:
for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.
24-26:20 And there
was also a man that prophesied in the name of the LORD, Urijah the son of
Shemaiah of Kirjathjearim, who prophesied against this city and against this
land according to all the words of Jeremiah:
24-26:21 And when
Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when
Urijah heard it, he was afraid, and fled, and went into Egypt;
24-27:12 I spake
also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words,
saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him
and his people, and live.
24-27:14 Therefore
hearken not unto the words of the prophets that
speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they
prophesy a lie unto you.
24-27:16 Also I
spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken
not to the words of your prophets that prophesy
unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD’S house shall now shortly be
brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
24-28:6 Even the
prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the
vessels of the LORD’S house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon
into this place.
24-29:1 Now these
are the words of the letter that Jeremiah
the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were
carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the
people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;
24-29:19 Because
they have not hearkened to my words, saith the
LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and
sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.
24-29:23 Because
they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their
neighbours’ wives, and have spoken lying words
in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a
witness, saith the LORD.
24-30:2 Thus
speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
24-30:4 And these
are the words that the LORD spake
concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
24-34:6 Then
Jeremiah the prophet spake all these words unto
Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,
24-34:18 And I will
give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me,
when they cut the calf in twain, and passed between the parts thereof.
24-35:13 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants
of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the LORD.
24-35:14 The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded
his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none,
but obey their father’s commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you,
rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me.
24-36:2 Take thee
a roll of a book, and write therein all the words
that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all
the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto
this day.
24-36:4 Then
Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of
Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had
spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.
24-36:6 Therefore
go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the
LORD’S house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of
all Judah that come out of their cities.
24-36:8 And
Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet
commanded him, reading in the book the words of
the LORD in the LORD’S house.
24-36:10 Then read
Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the
house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in
the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD’S house, in the ears
of all the people.
24-36:11 When
Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all
the words of the LORD,
24-36:13 Then
Michaiah declared unto them all the words that
he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.
24-36:16 Now it
came to pass, when they had heard all the words,
they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell
the king of all these words.
24-36:17 And they
asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?
24-36:18 Then
Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words
unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.
24-36:20 And they
went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of
Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in
the ears of the king.
24-36:24 Yet they
were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of
his servants that heard all these words.
24-36:27 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the
king had burned the roll, and the words which
Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
24-36:28 Take thee
again another roll, and write in it all the former words
that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.
24-36:32 Then took Jeremiah
another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote
therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words
of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there
were added besides unto them many like words.
24-37:2 But
neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, did hearken unto the words of the LORD, which he spake by the prophet
Jeremiah.
24-38:1 Then
Shephatiah the son of Mattan, and Gedaliah the son of Pashur, and Jucal the son
of Shelemiah, and Pashur the son of Malchiah, heard the words that Jeremiah had spoken unto all the people, saying,
24-38:4 Therefore
the princes said unto the king, We beseech thee, let this man be put to death:
for thus he weakeneth the hands of the men of war that remain in this city, and
the hands of all the people, in speaking such words
unto them: for this man seeketh not the welfare of this people, but the hurt.
24-38:24 Then said
Zedekiah unto Jeremiah, Let no man know of these words,
and thou shalt not die.
24-38:27 Then came
all the princes unto Jeremiah, and asked him: and he told them according to all
these words that the king had commanded. So they
left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.
24-39:16 Go and speak
to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of
Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this
city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that
day before thee.
24-42:4 Then
Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will
pray unto the LORD your God according to your words;
and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer
you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.
24-43:1 And it
came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all
the people all the words of the LORD their God,
for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,
24-44:28 Yet a
small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into
the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of
Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words
shall stand, mine, or theirs.
24-44:29 And this shall
be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place,
that ye may know that my words shall surely
stand against you for evil:
24-45:1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch
the son of Neriah, when he had written these words
in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of
Josiah king of Judah, saying,
24-51:60 So
Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all
these words that are written against Babylon.
24-51:61 And Jeremiah
said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all
these words;
24-51:64 And thou
shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I
will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
26-2:6 And
thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee,
and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be
a rebellious house.
26-2:7 And thou
shalt speak my words unto them, whether they
will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
26-3:4 And he
said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with
my words unto them.
26-3:6 Not to
many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent
thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.
26-3:10 Moreover
he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I
shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.
26-12:28 Therefore
say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the
Lord GOD.
26-33:31 And they
come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my
people, and they hear thy words, but they will
not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart
goeth after their covetousness.
26-33:32 And, lo,
thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant
voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
26-35:13 Thus with your
mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.
27-2:9 But if
ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for
you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words
to speak before me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and
I shall know that ye can shew me the interpretation thereof.
27-5:10 Now the
queen by reason of the words of the king and his
lords came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king,
live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be
changed:
27-6:14 Then the
king, when he heard these words, was sore
displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and
he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
27-7:11 I beheld
then because of the voice of the great words
which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his
body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
27-7:25 And he shall
speak great words against the most High,
and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and
laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the
dividing of time.
27-9:12 And he
hath confirmed his words, which he spake against
us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil:
for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
27-10:6 His body
also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning,
and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to
polished brass, and the voice of his words like
the voice of a multitude.
27-10:9 Yet heard
I the voice of his words: and when I heard the
voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep
on my face, and my face toward the ground.
27-10:11 And he
said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for
unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word
unto me, I stood trembling.
27-10:12 Then said
he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine
heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
27-10:15 And when
he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face
toward the ground, and I became dumb.
27-12:4 But thou,
O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even
to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be
increased.
27-12:9 And he
said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed
up and sealed till the time of the end.
28-6:5 Therefore
have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the
light that goeth forth.
28-10:4 They have
spoken words, swearing falsely in making a
covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
28-14:2 Take with
you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him,
Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the
calves of our lips.
30-1:1 The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa,
which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the
days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the
earthquake.
30-7:10 Then
Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath
conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not
able to bear all his words.
30-8:11 Behold,
the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a
famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
33-2:7 O thou
that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are
these his doings? do not my words do good to
him that walketh uprightly?
37-1:12 Then
Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high
priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their
God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the
LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
38-1:6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants
the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and
said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways,
and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
38-1:13 And the
LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.
38-7:7 Should
ye not hear the words which the LORD
hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in
prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited
the south and the plain?
38-7:12 Yea, they
made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law,
and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent
in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the
LORD of hosts.
38-8:9 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days
these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were
in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was
laid, that the temple might be built.
39-2:17 Ye have
wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say,
Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is
good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the
God of judgment?
39-3:13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet
ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
40-10:14 And
whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words,
when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
40-12:37 For by thy
words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
40-22:22 When they
had heard these words, they marvelled,
and left him, and went their way.
40-24:35 Heaven and
earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass
away.
40-26:44 And he
left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
41-8:38 Whosoever
therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words
in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be
ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
41-10:24 And the
disciples were astonished at his words. But
Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them
that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
41-12:13 And they
send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his
words.
41-13:31 Heaven and
earth shall pass away: but my words shall not
pass away.
41-14:39 And again
he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.
42-1:20 And,
behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these
things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
42-3:4 As it is
written in the book of the words of Esaias the
prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way
of the Lord, make his paths straight.
42-4:22 And all
bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words
which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?
42-9:26 For
whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words,
of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory,
and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.
42-20:20 And they
watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just
men, that they might take hold of his words,
that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
42-20:26 And they
could not take hold of his words before the
people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.
42-21:33 Heaven and
earth shall pass away: but my words shall not
pass away.
42-23:9 Then he
questioned with him in many words; but he
answered him nothing.
42-24:8 And they
remembered his words,
42-24:11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed
them not.
42-24:44 And he
said unto them, These are the words which
I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled,
which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the
psalms, concerning me.
43-3:34 For he
whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God:
for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
43-5:47 But if ye
believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
43-6:63 It is the
spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit,
and they are life.
43-6:68 Then
Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
43-7:9 When he
had said these words unto them, he abode still
in Galilee.
43-8:20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the
temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
43-8:30 As he
spake these words, many believed on him.
43-8:47 He that
is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear
them not, because ye are not of God.
43-9:22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the
Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was
Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
43-9:40 And some
of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words,
and said unto him, Are we blind also?
43-10:21 Others
said, These are not the words of him that hath a
devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
43-12:47 And if any
man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him
not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
43-12:48 He that
rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath
one that judgeth him: the word that I have
spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
43-14:10 Believest
thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but
the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
43-14:23 Jesus
answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come
unto him, and make our abode with him.
43-15:7 If ye
abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall
ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
43-17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven,
and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may
glorify thee:
43-17:8 For I
have given unto them the words which thou gavest
me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out
from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
43-18:1 When Jesus
had spoken these words, he went forth with his
disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered,
and his disciples.
44-2:14 But
Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye
men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto
you, and hearken to my words:
44-2:22 Ye men of
Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a
man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did
by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
44-2:40 And with
many other words did he testify and exhort,
saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
44-5:5 And
Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave
up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
44-5:20 Go, stand
and speak in the temple to the people all the words
of this life.
44-6:11 Then they
suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.
44-6:13 And set
up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:
44-7:22 And Moses
was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
44-10:22 And they
said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of
good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy
angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words
of thee.
44-10:44 While
Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell
on all them which heard the word.
44-11:14 Who shall
tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house
shall be saved.
44-13:42 And when
the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
44-15:15 And to
this agree the words of the prophets; as it is
written,
44-15:24 Forasmuch
as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be
circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
44-15:32 And Judas
and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
44-16:38 And the
serjeants told these words unto the magistrates:
and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.
44-18:15 But if it
be a question of words and names, and of your
law, look ye to it; for I will be no judge of such matters.
44-20:35 I have
shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and
to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he
said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
44-20:38 Sorrowing
most of all for the words which he spake, that
they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.
44-24:4 Notwithstanding,
that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us
of thy clemency a few words.
44-26:25 But he
said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
44-28:29 And when
he had said these words, the Jews departed, and
had great reasoning among themselves.
45-10:18 But I say,
Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their
words unto the ends of the world.
45-16:18 For they
that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good
words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of
the simple.
46-1:17 For
Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none
effect.
46-2:4 And my
speech and my preaching was not with enticing words
of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
46-2:13 Which
things also we speak, not in the words which
man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual
things with spiritual.
46-14:9 So
likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words
easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak
into the air.
46-14:19 Yet in the
church I had rather speak five words with my
understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten
thousand words in an unknown tongue.
47-12:4 How that
he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words,
which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
49-3:3 How that
by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
49-5:6 Let no
man deceive you with vain words: for because of
these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
51-2:4 And this
I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
52-2:5 For
neither at any time used we flattering words, as
ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:
52-4:18 Wherefore
comfort one another with these words.
54-4:6 If thou
put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister
of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of
faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
54-6:3 If any
man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words,
even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
54-6:4 He is
proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil
surmisings,
55-1:13 Hold fast
the form of sound words, which thou hast heard
of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
55-2:14 Of these
things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord
that they strive not about words to no profit, but
to the subverting of the hearers.
55-4:15 Of whom
be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
58-12:19 And the
sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words;
which voice they that heard intreated that the word
should not be spoken to them any more:
58-13:22 And I
beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of
exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.
61-2:3 And
through covetousness shall they with feigned words
make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and
their damnation slumbereth not.
61-2:18 For when
they speak great swelling words of
vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness,
those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
61-3:2 That ye
may be mindful of the words which were spoken
before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the
Lord and Saviour:
64-1:10 Wherefore,
if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with
malicious words: and not content therewith,
neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would,
and casteth them out of the church.
65-1:16 These are
murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh
great swelling words, having men’s
persons in admiration because of advantage.
65-1:17 But,
beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken
before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
66-1:3 Blessed is he that readeth,
and they that hear the words of this prophecy,
and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at
hand.
66-17:17 For God
hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their
kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God
shall be fulfilled.
66-21:5 And he that sat upon
the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for
these words are true and faithful.
66-22:18 For I
testify unto every man that heareth the words of
the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall
add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
66-22:19 And if any
man shall take away from the words of the book
of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out
of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
