W,96 water
01-2:10 And a
river went out of Eden to water the garden; and
from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
01-16:7 And the
angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water
in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.
01-18:4 Let a
little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash
your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:
01-21:14 And
Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on
her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered
in the wilderness of Beersheba.
01-21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child
under one of the shrubs.
01-21:19 And God
opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water;
and she went, and filled the bottle with water,
and gave the lad drink.
01-21:25 And
Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water,
which Abimelech’s servants had violently taken away.
01-24:11 And he
made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time
that women go out to draw water.
01-24:13 Behold, I
stand here by the well of water; and the
daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:
01-24:17 And the
servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.
01-24:19 And when
she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.
01-24:20 And she
hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to
draw water, and drew for all his camels.
01-24:32 And the
man came into the house: and he ungirded his camels, and gave straw and
provender for the camels, and water to wash his
feet, and the men’s feet that were with him.
01-24:43 Behold, I
stand by the well of water; and it shall come to
pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water,
and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water
of thy pitcher to drink;
01-24:45 And before
I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher
on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray
thee.
01-26:18 And Isaac
digged again the wells of water, which they had
digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them
after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which
his father had called them.
01-26:19 And
Isaac’s servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water.
01-26:20 And the
herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the
well Esek; because they strove with him.
01-26:32 And it
came to pass the same day, that Isaac’s servants came, and told him concerning
the well which they had digged, and said unto him, We have found water.
01-29:7 And he
said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle
should be gathered together: water ye the sheep,
and go and feed them.
01-29:8 And they
said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they
roll the stone from the well’s mouth; then we water
the sheep.
01-37:24 And they took
him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no
water in it.
01-43:24 And the
man brought the men into Joseph’s house, and gave them water, and they washed their feet; and he gave their
asses provender.
01-49:4 Unstable
as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou
wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my
couch.
02-2:10 And the child grew,
and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she
called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.
02-2:16 Now the priest of
Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water,
and filled the troughs to water their
father’s flock.
02-2:19 And they said, An
Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.
02-4:9 And it shall come to pass, if they
will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that
thou shalt take of the water of the river, and
pour it upon the dry land: and the water
which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.
02-7:15 Get thee unto Pharaoh
in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water;
and thou shalt stand by the river’s brink against he come; and the rod which
was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
02-7:18 And the fish that is
in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall
loathe to drink of the water of the river.
02-7:19 And the LORD spake
unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the
waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds,
and upon all their pools of water, that they may
become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of
Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
02-7:21 And the fish that was
in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink
of the water of the river; and there was blood
throughout all the land of Egypt.
02-7:24 And all the Egyptians digged
round about the river for water to drink; for
they could not drink of the water of the river.
02-8:20 And the LORD said unto
Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh
forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith
the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
02-12:9 Eat not of it raw, nor
sodden at all with water, but roast with fire;
his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
02-15:22 So Moses
brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur;
and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
02-15:27 And they
came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water,
and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
02-17:1 And all the congregation
of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their
journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim:
and there was no water for the people to
drink.
02-17:2 Wherefore the people
did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water
that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do
ye tempt the LORD?
02-17:3 And the people
thirsted there for water; and the people
murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou
hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle
with thirst?
02-17:6 Behold, I will stand
before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and
there shall come water out of it, that the
people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
02-20:4 Thou shalt not make
unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in
heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
02-23:25 And ye shall
serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of
thee.
02-29:4 And Aaron and his sons
thou shalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shalt
wash them with water.
02-30:18 Thou shalt
also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal:
and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar,
and thou shalt put water therein.
02-30:20 When they
go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to
the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:
02-32:20 And he
took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it
to powder, and strawed it upon the water,
and made the children of Israel drink of it.
02-34:28 And he was
there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor
drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the
words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
02-40:7 And thou shalt set the
laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein.
02-40:12 And thou
shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation, and wash them with water.
02-40:30 And he set
the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash withal.
03-1:9 But his
inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and
the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an
offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-1:13 But he
shall wash the inwards and the legs with water:
and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it upon the altar: it
is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto
the LORD.
03-6:28 But the
earthen vessel wherein it is sodden shall be broken: and if it be sodden in a
brasen pot, it shall be both scoured, and rinsed in water.
03-8:6 And
Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.
03-8:21 And he
washed the inwards and the legs in water; and
Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a
sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD
commanded Moses.
03-11:32 And upon
whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be
unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack,
whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put
into water, and it shall be unclean until the
even; so it shall be cleansed.
03-11:34 Of all
meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may
be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.
03-11:36 Nevertheless
a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water,
shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.
03-11:38 But if any
water be put upon the seed, and any part of
their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.
03-14:5 And the
priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over
running water:
03-14:6 As for
the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the
hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that
was killed over the running water:
03-14:8 And he
that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and
wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and
after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent
seven days.
03-14:9 But it
shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and
his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall
wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water,
and he shall be clean.
03-14:50 And he
shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water:
03-14:51 And he
shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living
bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times:
03-14:52 And he
shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar
wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet:
03-15:5 And
whosoever toucheth his bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
03-15:6 And he
that sitteth on any thing whereon he sat that hath the issue shall wash
his clothes, and bathe himself in water,
and be unclean until the even.
03-15:7 And he
that toucheth the flesh of him that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean
until the even.
03-15:8 And if he
that hath the issue spit upon him that is clean; then he shall wash his
clothes, and bathe himself in water, and
be unclean until the even.
03-15:10 And
whosoever toucheth any thing that was under him shall be unclean until the
even: and he that beareth any of those things shall wash his clothes,
and bathe himself in water, and be unclean
until the even.
03-15:11 And
whomsoever he toucheth that hath the issue, and hath not rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.
03-15:12 And the
vessel of earth, that he toucheth which hath the issue, shall be broken: and
every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water.
03-15:13 And when
he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself
seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in
running water, and shall be clean.
03-15:16 And if any
man’s seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.
03-15:17 And every
garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed
with water, and be unclean until the even.
03-15:18 The woman
also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both
bathe themselves in water, and be
unclean until the even.
03-15:21 And
whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
03-15:22 And whosoever
toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.
03-15:27 And
whosoever toucheth those things shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes,
and bathe himself in water, and be
unclean until the even.
03-16:4 He shall
put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh,
and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be
attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
03-16:24 And he
shall wash his flesh with water in the holy
place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering,
and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and
for the people.
03-16:26 And he
that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his
flesh in water, and afterward come into the
camp.
03-16:28 And he
that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.
03-17:15 And every
soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was torn with
beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both
wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water,
and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.
03-22:6 The soul
which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the
holy things, unless he wash his flesh with water.
04-5:17 And the
priest shall take holy water in an earthen
vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall
take, and put it into the water:
04-5:18 And the
priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman’s head, and
put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy
offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:
04-5:19 And the
priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain
with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead
of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water
that causeth the curse:
04-5:22 And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels,
to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman
shall say, Amen, amen.
04-5:23 And the
priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out
with the bitter water:
04-5:24 And he
shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water
that causeth the curse: and the water that
causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.
04-5:26 And the
priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof,
and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink
the water.
04-5:27 And when
he hath made her to drink the water, then it
shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass
against her husband, that the water that causeth
the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall
swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her
people.
04-8:7 And thus
shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water
of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash
their clothes, and so make themselves clean.
04-19:7 Then the
priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and
the priest shall be unclean until the even.
04-19:8 And he
that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water,
and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be
unclean until the even.
04-19:9 And a man
that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up
without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of
the children of Israel for a water of
separation: it is a purification for sin.
04-19:13 Whosoever
toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself,
defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from
Israel: because the water of separation was not
sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon
him.
04-19:17 And for an
unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of
purification for sin, and running water shall be
put thereto in a vessel:
04-19:18 And a
clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon
all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that
touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:
04-19:19 And the
clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on
the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his
clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall
be clean at even.
04-19:20 But the
man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut
off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the
LORD: the water of separation hath not been
sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.
04-19:21 And it
shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he
that toucheth the water of separation shall be
unclean until even.
04-20:2 And there
was no water for the congregation: and they
gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
04-20:5 And
wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this
evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of
pomegranates; neither is there any water
to drink.
04-20:8 Take the
rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and
speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the
congregation and their beasts drink.
04-20:10 And Moses
and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto
them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water
out of this rock?
04-20:11 And Moses
lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank,
and their beasts also.
04-20:13 This is
the water of Meribah, because the children
of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.
04-20:17 Let us
pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or
through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king’s high way,
we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy
borders.
04-20:19 And the
children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and my
cattle drink of thy water, then I will pay for
it: I will only, without doing any thing else, go through on my
feet.
04-20:24 Aaron
shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I
have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at
the water of Meribah.
04-21:5 And the
people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up
out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is
there any water; and our soul loatheth this
light bread.
04-21:16 And from
thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spake
unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.
04-24:7 He shall
pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall
be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom
shall be exalted.
04-27:14 For ye
rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the
congregation, to sanctify me at the water before
their eyes: that is the water of Meribah
in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
04-31:23 Every
thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and
it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire
ye shall make go through the water.
04-33:9 And they
removed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve
fountains of water, and threescore and ten palm
trees; and they pitched there.
04-33:14 And they
removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.
05-2:6 Ye shall
buy meat of them for money, that ye may eat; and ye shall also buy water of them for money, that ye may drink.
05-2:28 Thou
shalt sell me meat for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only I will pass
through on my feet;
05-8:7 For the
LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of
valleys and hills;
05-8:15 Who led
thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery
serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water
out of the rock of flint;
05-9:9 When I
was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the
tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount
forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:
05-9:18 And I
fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did
neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of
all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to
provoke him to anger.
05-11:4 And what
he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how he
made the water of the Red sea to overflow them
as they pursued after you, and how the LORD hath destroyed them unto
this day;
05-11:11 But the
land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and
drinketh water of the rain of heaven:
05-12:16 Only ye
shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.
05-12:24 Thou shalt
not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.
05-15:23 Only thou
shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.
05-23:4 Because
they met you not with bread and with water in
the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam
the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
05-23:11 But it
shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into
the camp again.
05-29:11 Your
little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the
hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:
06-2:10 For we
have heard how the LORD dried up the water of
the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two
kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og,
whom ye utterly destroyed.
06-3:8 And thou
shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye
are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye
shall stand still in Jordan.
06-3:15 And as
they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that
bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water,
(for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,)
06-7:5 And the
men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before
the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore
the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.
06-9:21 And the
princes said unto them, Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and
drawers of water unto all the congregation; as
the princes had promised them.
06-9:23 Now
therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being
bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water
for the house of my God.
06-9:27 And
Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, even
unto this day, in the place which he should choose.
06-15:9 And the
border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount
Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjathjearim:
06-15:19 Who
answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also
springs of water. And he gave her the upper
springs, and the nether springs.
06-16:1 And the
lot of the children of Joseph fell from Jordan by Jericho, unto the water of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that
goeth up from Jericho throughout mount Bethel.
07-1:15 And she said unto him, Give me a blessing: for thou hast
given me a south land; give me also springs of water.
And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the nether springs.
07-4:19 And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a
bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
07-5:4 LORD, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst
out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the
clouds also dropped water.
07-5:11 They that are delivered from the noise of archers
in the places of drawing water, there shall they
rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, even the righteous acts toward
the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD
go down to the gates.
07-5:25 He asked water, and she
gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.
07-6:38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and
thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full
of water.
07-7:4 And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet
too many; bring them down unto the water,
and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say
unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of
whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.
07-7:5 So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that
lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog
lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down
upon his knees to drink.
07-7:6 And the number of them that lapped, putting their
hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people
bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
07-15:19 But God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw,
and there came water thereout; and when he had
drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name
thereof Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day.
09-7:6 And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured it out before the LORD, and
fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the LORD. And Samuel
judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh.
09-9:11 And as they went up the hill to the city, they
found young maidens going out to draw water, and
said unto them, Is the seer here?
09-25:11 Shall I then take my bread, and my water, and my flesh that I have killed for my shearers, and give it
unto men, whom I know not whence they be?
09-26:11 The LORD forbid that I should stretch forth mine hand
against the LORD’S anointed: but, I pray thee, take thou now the spear that is
at his bolster, and the cruse of water, and
let us go.
09-26:12 So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul’s bolster; and they gat them away, and
no man saw it, nor knew it, neither awaked: for they were all
asleep; because a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them.
09-26:16 This thing is not good that thou hast done. As the
LORD liveth, ye are worthy to die, because ye have not kept your master,
the LORD’S anointed. And now see where the king’s spear is, and the
cruse of water that was at his bolster.
09-30:11 And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him
to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water;
09-30:12 And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two
clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for
he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water,
three days and three nights.
10-14:14 For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up
again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means,
that his banished be not expelled from him.
10-17:20 And when Absalom’s servants came to the woman to the
house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto
them, They be gone over the brook of water. And
when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to
Jerusalem.
10-17:21 And it came to pass, after they were departed, that they
came up out of the well, and went and told king David, and said unto David,
Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus
hath Ahithophel counselled against you.
10-21:10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread
it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered
neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the
field by night.
10-23:15 And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me
drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem,
which is by the gate!
10-23:16 And the three mighty men brake through the host of the
Philistines, and drew water out of the well of
Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to
David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the
LORD.
11-13:8 And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me
half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor
drink water in this place:
11-13:9 For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying,
Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by
the same way that thou camest.
11-13:16 And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with
thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water
with thee in this place:
11-13:17 For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt
eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn
again to go by the way that thou camest.
11-13:18 He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art;
and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back
with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
11-13:19 So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house,
and drank water.
11-13:22 But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did
say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water;
thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
11-14:15 For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in
the water, and he shall root up Israel out of
this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond
the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger.
11-17:10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the
gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks:
and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11-18:4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets
of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a
cave, and fed them with bread and water.)
11-18:5 And Ahab said unto Obadiah, Go into the land, unto all
fountains of water, and unto all brooks: peradventure
we may find grass to save the horses and mules alive, that we lose not all the
beasts.
11-18:13 Was it not told my lord what I did when Jezebel slew the
prophets of the LORD, how I hid an hundred men of the Lord’s prophets by fifty
in a cave, and fed them with bread and water?
11-18:33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in
pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and
on the wood.
11-18:35 And the water ran round
about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.
11-18:38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt
sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
11-19:6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken
on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head.
And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
11-22:27 And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in
the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.
12-2:19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray
thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is nought, and the ground barren.
12-3:9 So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and
the king of Edom: and they fetched a compass of seven days’ journey: and there
was no water for the host, and for the cattle
that followed them.
12-3:11 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet
of the LORD, that we may enquire of the LORD by him? And one of the king of Israel’s
servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which
poured water on the hands of Elijah.
12-3:17 For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither
shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your
beasts.
12-3:19 And ye shall smite every fenced city, and every choice
city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.
12-3:20 And it came to pass in the morning, when the meat
offering was offered, that, behold, there came water
by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.
12-3:22 And they rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone
upon the water, and the Moabites saw the water on the other side as red as blood:
12-3:25 And they beat down the cities, and on every good piece of
land cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells of
water, and felled all the good trees: only in
Kirharaseth left they the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about it,
and smote it.
12-6:5 But as one was felling a beam, the ax head fell into the
water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for
it was borrowed.
12-6:22 And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest
thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow?
set bread and water before them, that they may
eat and drink, and go to their master.
12-8:15 And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick
cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread
it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.
12-20:20 And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might,
and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water
into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the
kings of Judah?
13-11:17 And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me
drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem,
that is at the gate!
13-11:18 And the three brake through the host of the Philistines,
and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem,
that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to
David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to the LORD,
14-18:26 And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in
the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.
14-32:4 So there was gathered much people together, who stopped
all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land,
saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?
15-10:6 Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went
into the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliashib: and when he came
thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water:
for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.
16-3:26 Moreover the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel, unto the place over
against the water gate toward the east, and the
tower that lieth out.
16-8:1 And all the people gathered themselves together as one
man into the street that was before the water
gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of
Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.
16-8:3 And he read therein before the street that was before
the water gate from the morning until midday,
before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of
all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.
16-8:16 So the people went forth, and brought them, and
made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their
courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.
16-9:15 And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and
broughtest forth water for them out of the rock
for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the
land which thou hadst sworn to give them.
16-9:20 Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and
withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.
16-12:37 And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they
went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above
the house of David, even unto the water gate
eastward.
16-13:2 Because they met not the children of Israel with bread
and with water, but hired Balaam against them,
that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.
18-8:11 Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without
water?
18-9:30 If I wash myself with snow water,
and make my hands never so clean;
18-14:9 Yet through the scent of water
it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
18-15:16 How much more abominable and filthy is man, which
drinketh iniquity like water?
18-22:7 Thou hast not given water
to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.
18-34:7 What man is like Job, who drinketh up
scorning like water?
18-36:27 For he maketh small the drops of water:
they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
19-1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his
leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
19-6:6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed
to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
19-22:14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the
midst of my bowels.
19-42:1 As the hart panteth after the water
brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
19-63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my
soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is;
19-65:9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly
enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so
provided for it.
19-66:12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went
through fire and through water: but thou
broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
19-72:6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as
showers that water the earth.
19-77:17 The clouds poured out water:
the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad.
19-79:3 Their blood have they shed like water
round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.
19-88:17 They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.
19-107:35 He turneth the wilderness into a
standing water, and dry ground into
watersprings.
19-109:18 As he clothed himself with cursing
like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
19-114:8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
20-8:24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth;
when there were no fountains abounding with water.
20-17:14 The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be
meddled with.
20-20:5 Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
20-21:1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as
the rivers of water: he turneth it
whithersoever he will.
20-25:21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he
be thirsty, give him water to drink:
20-27:19 As in water face answereth
to face, so the heart of man to man.
20-30:16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is
not filled with water; and the fire that saith
not, It is enough.
21-2:6 I made me pools of water,
to water therewith the wood that bringeth forth
trees:
23-1:22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
23-1:30 For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a
garden that hath no water.
23-3:1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away
from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread,
and the whole stay of water.
23-12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water
out of the wells of salvation.
23-14:23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and
pools of water: and I will sweep it with the
besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.
23-16:9 Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the
vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears,
O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy
harvest is fallen.
23-21:14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with
their bread him that fled.
23-22:11 Ye made also a ditch between the two walls for the water of the old pool: but ye have not looked unto the
maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that fashioned it long ago.
23-27:3 I the LORD do keep it; I will water
it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.
23-30:14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’
vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be
found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.
23-30:20 And though the Lord give you the bread of
adversity, and the water of affliction, yet
shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall
see thy teachers:
23-32:2 And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and
a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in
a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
23-35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the
thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation
of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
23-37:25 I have digged, and drunk water;
and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of the besieged
places.
23-41:17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue
faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not
forsake them.
23-41:18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the
midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
23-44:3 For I will pour water upon
him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon
thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
23-44:4 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as
willows by the water courses.
23-44:12 The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and
fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea,
he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water,
and is faint.
23-49:10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat
nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the
springs of water shall he guide them.
23-50:2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I
called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it
cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the
sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no
water, and dieth for thirst.
23-58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy
soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered
garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters
fail not.
23-63:12 That led them by the right hand of Moses with his
glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to
make himself an everlasting name?
24-2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have
forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns,
broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
24-8:14 Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us
enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our
God hath put us to silence, and given us water
of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.
24-9:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of
Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and
give them water of gall to drink.
24-13:1 Thus saith the LORD unto me, Go and get thee a linen
girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.
24-14:3 And their nobles have sent their little ones to the
waters: they came to the pits, and found no water;
they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and
covered their heads.
24-23:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets;
Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is
profaneness gone forth into all the land.
24-38:6 Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of
Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and
they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.
25-1:16 For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye
runneth down with water, because the comforter
that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because
the enemy prevailed.
25-2:19 Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the
watches pour out thine heart like water before
the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young
children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.
25-3:48 Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my
people.
25-5:4 We have drunken our water
for money; our wood is sold unto us.
26-4:11 Thou shalt drink also water
by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
26-4:16 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will
break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and
with care; and they shall drink water by
measure, and with astonishment:
26-4:17 That they may want bread and water,
and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.
26-7:17 All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as
water.
26-12:18 Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with carefulness;
26-12:19 And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord
GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They
shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that
is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.
26-16:4 And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born
thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water
to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
26-16:9 Then washed I thee with water;
yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
26-17:7 There was also another great eagle with great wings and
many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot
forth her branches toward him, that he might water
it by the furrows of her plantation.
26-21:7 And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore
sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and
every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall
faint, and all knees shall be weak as water:
behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.
26-24:3 And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say
unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also
pour water into it:
26-26:12 And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey
of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy
pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in
the midst of the water.
26-31:14 To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt
themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs,
neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the
nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that
go down to the pit.
26-31:16 I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when
I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees
of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
26-32:6 I will also water with thy
blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the
rivers shall be full of thee.
26-36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water
upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your
idols, will I cleanse you.
27-1:12 Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let
them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.
28-2:5 For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived
them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me
my bread and my water, my wool and my flax,
mine oil and my drink.
28-5:10 The princes of Judah were like them that remove the
bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
28-10:7 As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam
upon the water.
29-3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the
mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all
the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of
the house of the LORD, and shall water the
valley of Shittim.
30-4:8 So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to
drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet
have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
30-8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will
send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
32-3:7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published
through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither
man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:
34-2:8 But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall
they cry; but none shall look back.
35-3:10 The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the
overflowing of the water passed by: the deep
uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.
38-9:11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have
sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
40-3:11 I indeed baptize you with water
unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I
am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
40-3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out
of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened
unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting
upon him:
40-10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little
ones a cup of cold water only in the name
of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
40-14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid
me come unto thee on the water.

41-1:8 I indeed
have baptized you with water: but he shall
baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
41-1:10 And
straightway coming up out of the water, he saw
the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
41-9:41 For
whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink
in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not
lose his reward.
41-14:13 And he sendeth
forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there
shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water:
follow him.
42-3:16 John
answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of
whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy
Ghost and with fire:
42-7:44 And he
turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into
thine house, thou gavest me no water for my
feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the
hairs of her head.
42-8:23 But as
they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake;
and they were filled with water, and were
in jeopardy.
42-8:24 And they came
to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and
rebuked the wind and the raging of the water:
and they ceased, and there was a calm.
42-8:25 And he
said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one
to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man
meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him
into the house where he entereth in.
43-1:26 John
answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but
there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
43-1:31 And I
knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I
come baptizing with water.
43-1:33 And I
knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water,
the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and
remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water.
And they filled them up to the brim.

ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was
made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into
the kingdom of God.

43-4:7 There
cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus
saith unto her, Give me to drink.
43-4:10 Jesus
answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that
saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would
have given thee living water.
43-4:11 The woman
saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from
whence then hast thou that living water?
43-4:13 Jesus
answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water
shall thirst again:
43-4:14 But
whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall
give him shall never thirst; but the water that
I shall give him shall be in him a well of water
springing up into everlasting life.
43-4:15 The woman
saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I
thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
43-4:46 So Jesus
came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water
wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
43-5:3 In these
lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for
the moving of the water.
43-5:4 For an
angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the
water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever
disease he had.
43-5:7 The impotent
man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water
is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth
down before me.

44-8:38 And he
commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized
him.
44-8:39 And when
they were come up out of the water, the Spirit
of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on
his way rejoicing.
44-10:47 Can any
man forbid water, that these should not be
baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
