01-GENESIS
01-3:8 And they
heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the
garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the
presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
01-3:10 And he
said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was
afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
01-3:17 And unto
Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice
of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying,
Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt
thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
01-4:10 And he
said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy
brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.
01-4:23 And
Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice;
ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my
wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
01-16:2 And Sarai
said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray
thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram
hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
01-21:12 And God
said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and
because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto
her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
01-21:16 And she
went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a
bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over
against him, and lift up her voice, and
wept.
01-21:17 And God
heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God
called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear
not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad
where he is.
01-22:18 And in thy
seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my
voice.
01-26:5 Because
that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my
charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
01-27:8 Now
therefore, my son, obey my voice according to
that which I command thee.
01-27:13 And his mother
said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.
01-27:22 And Jacob
went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob’s voice,

02-3:18 And they
shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come,
thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto
him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we
beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to
the LORD our God.
02-4:1 And
Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken
unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath
not appeared unto thee.
02-4:8 And it
shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.
02-4:9 And it
shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither
hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of
the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the
water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.
02-5:2 And
Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither
will I let Israel go.
02-15:26 And said,
If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of
the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give
ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these
diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the
LORD that healeth thee.
02-18:19 Hearken
now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and
God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest
bring the causes unto God:
02-18:24 So Moses
hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and
did all that he had said.
02-19:5 Now
therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and
keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all
people: for all the earth is mine:
02-19:16 And it came
to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and
lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice
of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the
camp trembled.
02-19:19 And when
the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed
louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
02-23:21 Beware of
him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he
will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
02-23:22 But if
thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all
that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto
thine adversaries.
02-24:3 And Moses
came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and
all the people answered with one voice, and
said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do.
02-32:18 And he
said, It is not the voice of them that
shout for mastery, neither is it the voice
of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them
that sing do I hear.
03-5:1 And if a
soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is
a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it,
then he shall bear his iniquity.
04-7:89 And when
Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then
he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from
off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the
two cherubims: and he spake unto him.
04-14:1 And all
the congregation lifted up their voice, and
cried; and the people wept that night.
04-14:22 Because
all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt

LORD heard the voice of your words, and was
wroth, and sware, saying,

and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.
05-4:12 And the
LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye

art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the

people hear the voice of God speaking out of
the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he
might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou
heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.
05-5:22 These
words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of
the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two
tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.
05-5:23 And it
came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the
midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near
unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
05-5:24 And ye
said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and
we have heard his voice out of the midst of the
fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
05-5:25 Now
therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear
the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we
shall die.
05-5:26 For who is
there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice
of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and
lived?
05-5:28 And the
LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye
spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have
spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.
05-8:20 As the
nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because
ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the
LORD your God.
05-9:23 Likewise
when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land
which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your
God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
05-13:4 Ye shall
walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey
his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave
unto him.
05-13:18 When thou
shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God,
to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which
is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.
05-15:5 Only if
thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the
LORD thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this
day.
05-18:16 According
to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the
assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice
of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die
not.
05-21:18 If a man
have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice
of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken
unto them:
05-21:20 And they
shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and
rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is
a glutton, and a drunkard.
05-26:7 And when
we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour,
and our oppression:
05-26:14 I have not
eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof
for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead:
but I have hearkened to the voice of the
LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.
05-26:17 Thou hast
avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep
his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:
05-27:10 Thou shalt
therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God,
and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
05-27:14 And the
Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
05-28:1 And it
shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do
all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will
set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
05-28:2 And all
these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken
unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
05-28:15 But it
shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice
of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes
which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and
overtake thee:
05-28:45 Moreover
all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake
thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments
and his statutes which he commanded thee:
05-28:62 And ye
shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for
multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice
of the LORD thy God.
05-30:2 And shalt
return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice
according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all
thine heart, and with all thy soul;
05-30:8 And thou
shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and
do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
05-30:10 If thou
shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy
God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book
of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart,
and with all thy soul.
05-30:20 That thou
mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is
thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land
which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to
give them.
05-33:7 And this is
the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be
sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.
06-5:6 For the
children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that
were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they
obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the
LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto
their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
06-6:10 And
Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise
with your voice, neither shall any word
proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.
06-10:14 And there
was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.
06-22:2 And said
unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you,
and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded
you:
06-24:24 And the
people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
07-2:2 And ye
shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down
their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why
have ye done this?

came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the

anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people
hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not

said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the

07-9:7 And when
they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim,
and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said
unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.
07-13:9 And God
hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel
of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her
husband was not with her.
07-18:3 When they
were by the house of Micah, they knew the voice
of the young man the Levite: and they turned in thither, and said unto him, Who
brought thee hither? and what makest thou in this place? and what hast
thou here?
07-18:25 And the
children of Dan said unto him, Let not thy voice
be heard among us, lest angry fellows run upon thee, and thou lose thy life,
with the lives of thy household.
07-20:13 Now
therefore deliver us the men, the children of Belial, which are in
Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But the
children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice
of their brethren the children of Israel:

Samuel said unto all Israel, Behold, I have hearkened unto your voice in all that ye said unto me, and have made a
king over you.
09-12:14 If ye will
fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice,
and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also
the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God:
09-12:15 But if ye
will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel
against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against
you, as it was against your fathers.
09-15:1 Samuel
also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his
people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
09-15:19 Wherefore
then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD,
but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?
09-15:20 And Saul
said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice

said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as

obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of
rams.
09-15:24 And Saul
said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the
LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.
09-19:6 And Saul
hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul
sware, As the LORD liveth, he shall not be slain.
09-24:16 And it
came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul,
that Saul said, Is this thy voice, my son
David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept.
09-25:35 So David
received of her hand that which she had brought him, and said unto her,
Go up in peace to thine house; see, I have hearkened to thy voice, and have accepted thy person.
09-26:17 And Saul
knew David’s voice, and said, Is this thy
voice, my son David? And David said, It is my
voice, my lord, O king.
09-28:12 And when
the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice:
and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art
Saul.
09-28:18 Because
thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor
executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this
thing unto thee this day.
09-28:21 And the
woman came unto Saul, and saw that he was sore troubled, and said unto him,
Behold, thine handmaid hath obeyed thy voice,
and I have put my life in my hand, and have hearkened unto thy words which thou
spakest unto me.
09-28:22 Now therefore,
I pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of
thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat, that
thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way.
09-28:23 But he
refused, and said, I will not eat. But his servants, together with the woman,
compelled him; and he hearkened unto their voice.
So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed.
09-30:4 Then
David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.

buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice,
and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.

distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into
his ears.
10-22:14 The LORD
thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.
11-8:55 And he
stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,

LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of
the child came into him again, and he revived.

took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called

leaped upon the altar which was made.

came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of

the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and
after the fire a still small voice.
11-19:13 And it was
so, when Elijah heard it that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and
went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a
voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here,
Elijah?
11-20:25 And number
thee an army, like the army that thou hast lost, horse for horse, and chariot
for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, and surely we
shall be stronger than they. And he hearkened unto their voice, and did so.
11-20:36 Then said
he unto him, Because thou hast not obeyed the voice
of the LORD, behold, as soon as thou art departed from me, a lion shall slay
thee. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him.
12-4:31 And
Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child;
but there was neither voice, nor hearing.
Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not
awaked.
12-7:10 So they
came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We
came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there,
neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses
tied, and the tents as they were.
12-10:6 Then he
wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If ye be mine, and if
ye will hearken unto my voice, take ye the heads
of the men your master’s sons, and come to me to Jezreel by to morrow this
time. Now the king’s sons, being seventy persons, were with the
great men of the city, which brought them up.
12-18:12 Because
they obeyed not the voice of the LORD their God,
but transgressed his covenant, and all that Moses the servant of the
LORD commanded, and would not hear them, nor do them.

Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in
the Jews’ language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the
king of Assyria:
12-19:22 Whom hast
thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against
the Holy One of Israel.
13-15:16 And David spake
to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers
with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by
lifting up the voice with joy.
14-5:13 It came
even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one
sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their
voice with the trumpets and cymbals and
instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled
with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;
14-15:14 And they
sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with
shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
14-20:19 And the
Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the
Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.
14-30:27 Then the
priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to
his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.
14-32:18 Then they
cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ speech unto
the people of Jerusalem that were on the wall, to affright them, and to
trouble them; that they might take the city.
15-3:12 But many of
the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men,
that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid
before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and
many shouted aloud for joy:
15-10:12 Then all
the congregation answered and said with a loud voice,
As thou hast said, so must we do.
16-9:4 Then
stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah,
Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto the LORD their God.
18-2:12 And when
they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle,
and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven.
18-3:7 Lo, let
that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come
therein.
18-3:18 There the
prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice
of the oppressor.
18-4:10 The
roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce
lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken.
18-4:16 It stood
still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before

spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because

also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning,
and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to
polished brass, and the voice of his words like
the voice of a multitude.

I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my
face, and my face toward the ground.
29-2:11 And the
LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for
his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word:
for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide
it?

also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice

66-19:1 And after these things
I heard a great voice of much people in heaven,
saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord
our God:
66-19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God,
all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
66-19:6 And I heard as it were
the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the
Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
66-19:17 And I saw
