01-GENESIS
01-1:31 And God saw
every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the
sixth day.
01-4:5 But unto
Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
01-12:14 And it
came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the
woman that she was very fair.
01-13:2 And Abram
was very rich in cattle, in silver, and
in gold.
01-18:20 And the
LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their
sin is very grievous;
01-21:11 And the
thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight
because of his son.
01-24:16 And the
damsel was very fair to look upon, a
virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and
filled her pitcher, and came up.
01-26:13 And the
man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
01-27:21 And Isaac
said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether
thou be my very son Esau or not.
01-27:24 And he said,
Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I
am.
01-27:33 And Isaac
trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is
he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of
all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be
blessed.
01-34:7 And the
sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were
grieved, and they were very wroth, because he
had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob’s daughter; which thing ought
not to be done.
01-41:19 And, behold,
seven other kine came up after them, poor and very
ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for
badness:
01-41:31 And the
plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for
it shall be very grievous.
01-41:49 And Joseph
gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much,
until he left numbering; for it was without number.
01-47:13 And there
was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the
land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.
01-50:9 And there
went up with him both chariots and horsemen: and it was a very great company.
01-50:10 And they
came to the threshingfloor of Atad, which is beyond Jordan, and there
they mourned with a great and very sore
lamentation: and he made a mourning for his father seven days.
02-1:20 Therefore
God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
02-8:28 And Pharaoh
said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the
wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away:
intreat for me.
02-9:3 Behold,
the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the
horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there
shall be a very grievous murrain.
02-9:16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up,
for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared
throughout all the earth.
02-9:18 Behold,
to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very
grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even
until now.
02-9:24 So there
was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very
grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it
became a nation.
02-10:14 And the
locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of
Egypt: very grievous were they; before
them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.
02-11:3 And the
LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man
Moses was very great in the land of
Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.
02-12:38 And a
mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
02-30:36 And thou
shalt beat some of it very small, and put
of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will
meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.
04-6:9 And if
any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath
defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day
of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall he shave it.
04-11:33 And while
the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of
the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
04-12:3 (Now the
man Moses was very meek, above all the
men which were upon the face of the earth.)
04-13:28 Nevertheless
the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled,
and very great: and moreover we saw the
children of Anak there.
04-16:15 And Moses
was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect
not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I
hurt one of them.
04-22:17 For I will
promote thee unto very great honour, and I will
do whatsoever thou sayest unto me: come therefore, I pray thee, curse me this
people.
04-32:1 Now the
children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very
great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of
Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;
05-9:20 And the
LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed
him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
05-9:21 And I
took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped
it, and ground it very small, even
until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that
descended out of the mount.
05-20:15 Thus shalt
thou do unto all the cities which are very
far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.
05-27:8 And thou
shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very
plainly.
05-28:43 The
stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
05-28:54 So that
the man that is tender among you, and very
delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his
bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
05-30:14 But the
word is very nigh unto thee, in thy
mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
05-32:20 And he
said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for
they are a very froward generation,
children in whom is no faith.
06-1:7 Only be
thou strong and very courageous, that thou
mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded
thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that
thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
06-3:16 That the
waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside
Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the
salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right
against Jericho.
06-8:4 And he
commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie in wait against the city, even behind
the city: go not very far from the city, but be
ye all ready:
06-9:9 And they
said unto him, From a very far country thy
servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard
the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,
06-9:13 And these
bottles of wine, which we filled, were new; and, behold, they be rent:
and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.
06-9:22 And
Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye
beguiled us, saying, We are very far from
you; when ye dwell among us?
06-10:20 And it
came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying
them with a very great slaughter, till they were
consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced
cities.
06-10:27 And it
came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua
commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave
wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave’s mouth, which
remain until this very day.
06-11:4 And they
went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand
that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
06-13:1 Now
Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou
art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
06-22:8 And he
spake unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with
brass, and with iron, and with very much
raiment: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.
06-23:6 Be ye
therefore very courageous to keep and to do all
that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside
therefrom to the right hand or to the left;
07-3:17 And he
brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man.
07-11:33 And he
smote them from Aroer, even till thou come to Minnith, even twenty
cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very
great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of
Israel.
07-11:35 And it
came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my
daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and
thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD,
and I cannot go back.
07-13:6 Then the
woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his
countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither
told he me his name:
07-18:9 And they
said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and,
behold, it is very good: and are ye
still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.
08-1:20 And she
said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
09-2:17 Wherefore
the sin of the young men was very great before
the LORD: for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.
09-2:22 Now Eli
was very old, and heard all that his sons did
unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the
door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
09-4:10 And the
Philistines fought, and Israel was smitten, and they fled every man into his
tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for
there fell of Israel thirty thousand footmen.
09-5:9 And it
was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was
against the city with a very great destruction:
and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in
their secret parts.
09-5:11 So they
sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send
away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that
it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout
all the city; the hand of God was very heavy
there.
09-14:15 And there
was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the
garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was
a very great trembling.
09-14:20 And Saul
and all the people that were with him assembled themselves, and they
came to the battle: and, behold, every man’s sword was against his fellow, and
there was a very great discomfiture.
09-14:31 And they
smote the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon: and the people were very faint.
09-18:8 And Saul
was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and
he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have
ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the
kingdom?
09-18:15 Wherefore
when Saul saw that he behaved himself very
wisely, he was afraid of him.
09-19:4 And Jonathan
spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king
sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against
thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good:
09-20:7 If he say
thus, It is well; thy servant shall have peace: but if he be very wroth, then be sure that evil is
determined by him.
09-23:22 Go, I pray
you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who
hath seen him there: for it is told me that he dealeth very subtilly.
09-25:2 And there
was a man in Maon, whose possessions were in Carmel; and the man was
very great, and he had three thousand sheep,
and a thousand goats: and he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.
09-25:15 But the
men were very good unto us, and we were
not hurt, neither missed we any thing, as long as we were conversant with them,
when we were in the fields:
09-25:34 For in very deed, as the LORD God of Israel liveth,
which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come to
meet me, surely there had not been left unto Nabal by the morning light any
that pisseth against the wall.
09-25:36 And
Abigail came to Nabal; and, behold, he held a feast in his house, like the
feast of a king; and Nabal’s heart was merry within him, for he was very drunken: wherefore she told him nothing, less or
more, until the morning light.
09-26:4 David
therefore sent out spies, and understood that Saul was come in very deed.
10-1:26 I am distressed
for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant
hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of
women.
10-2:17 And there
was a very sore battle that day; and Abner was
beaten, and the men of Israel, before the servants of David.
10-3:8 Then was
Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth,
and said, Am I a dog’s head, which against Judah do shew kindness this
day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and
have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day
with a fault concerning this woman?
10-11:2 And it
came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked
upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing
herself; and the woman was very beautiful
to look upon.
10-12:15 And Nathan
departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare
unto David, and it was very sick.
10-13:3 But Amnon
had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s
brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil
man.
10-13:21 But when
king David heard of all these things, he was very
wroth.
10-13:36 And it
came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the
king’s sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all
his servants wept very sore.
10-18:17 And they
took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Israel
fled every one to his tent.
10-19:32 Now Barzillai
was a very aged man, even fourscore years
old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for
he was a very great man.
10-24:10 And
David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said
unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech
thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
11-1:4 And the
damsel was very fair, and cherished the
king, and ministered to him: but the king knew her not.
11-1:6 And his
father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and
he also was a very goodly man; and
his mother bare him after Absalom.
11-1:15 And
Bathsheba went in unto the king into the chamber: and the king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite ministered unto
the king.
11-7:34 And there
were four undersetters to the four corners of one base: and the
undersetters were of the very base
itself.
11-10:2 And she
came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with
camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and
precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all
that was in her heart.
11-10:10 And she
gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no
more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king
Solomon.
11-19:10 And he
said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God
of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down
thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only,
am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
11-19:14 And he
said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God
of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown
down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I
only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
11-21:26 And he did
very abominably in following idols, according to
all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the
children of Israel.
12-14:26 For the
LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very
bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for
Israel.
12-17:18 Therefore
the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed
them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
12-21:16 Moreover
Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he
had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah
to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
13-9:13 And their
brethren, heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and
threescore; very able men for the work of the
service of the house of God.
13-18:8 Likewise
from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brasen
sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
13-21:8 And David
said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now,
I beseech thee, do away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
13-21:13 And David
said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the
LORD; for very great are his mercies: but
let me not fall into the hand of man.
13-23:17 And the
sons of Eliezer were, Rehabiah the chief. And Eliezer had none other
sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
14-6:18 But will
God in very deed dwell with men on the earth?
behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less
this house which I have built!
14-7:8 Also at
the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of
Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
14-9:1 And when
the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with
hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great
company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious
stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was
in her heart.
14-14:13 And Asa
and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar: and the
Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they
were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil.
14-16:8 Were not
the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very
many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he
delivered them into thine hand.
14-16:14 And they
buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of
David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers
kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries’ art: and they made a very great burning for him.
14-20:35 And after
this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel,
who did very wickedly:
14-24:24 For the army
of the Syrians came with a small company of men, and the LORD delivered a very great host into their hand, because they had
forsaken the LORD God of their fathers. So they executed judgment against
Joash.
14-30:13 And there
assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the
second month, a very great congregation.
14-32:29 Moreover
he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance: for
God had given him substance very much.
14-33:14 Now after
this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in
the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about
Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and
put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.
14-36:14 Moreover
all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen;
and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.
15-10:1 Now when
Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down
before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children:
for the people wept very sore.
16-1:7 We have
dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not
kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou
commandedst thy servant Moses.
16-2:2 Wherefore
the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not
sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid,
16-4:7 But it
came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the
Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and
that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,
16-5:6 And I
was very angry when I heard their cry and these
words.
16-8:17 And all
the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths,
and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that
day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.
17-1:12 But the
queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s commandment by his chamberlains:
therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger
burned in him.
18-1:3 His
substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five
hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the
men of the east.
18-2:13 So they
sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a
word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very
great.
18-15:10 With us are
both the grayheaded and very aged men, much
elder than thy father.
18-32:6 And Elihu
the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are
very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst
not shew you mine opinion.
19-5:9 For there
is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open
sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
19-35:8 Let
destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch
himself: into that very destruction let him
fall.
19-46:1 God is
our refuge and strength, a very present help
in trouble.
19-50:3 Our God
shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it
shall be very tempestuous round about him.
19-71:19 Thy
righteousness also, O God, is very high,
who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!
19-79:8 O
remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily
prevent us: for we are brought very low.
19-89:2 For I
have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou
establish in the very heavens.
19-92:5 O LORD,
how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very
deep.
19-93:5 Thy
testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh
thine house, O LORD, for ever.
19-104:1 Bless the
LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very
great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
19-105:12 When they
were but a few men in number; yea, very
few, and strangers in it.
19-119:107 I am
afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD,
according unto thy word.
19-119:138 Thy
testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.
19-119:140 Thy word is
very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
19-142:6 Attend
unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver
me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
19-146:4 His breath
goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very
day his thoughts perish.
19-147:15 He sendeth
forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
20-17:9 He that
covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter
separateth very friends.
20-27:15 A
continual dropping in a very rainy day and a
contentious woman are alike.
23-1:9 Except
the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small
remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto
Gomorrah.
23-5:1 Now will
I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My
wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful
hill:
23-10:25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and
mine anger in their destruction.
23-16:6 We have
heard of the pride of Moab; he is very
proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his
lies shall not be so.
23-16:14 But now
the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling,
and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and
the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
23-24:16 From the
uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the
righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous
dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.
23-29:17 Is it
not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall
be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a
forest?
23-30:19 For the
people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when
he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
23-31:1 Woe to
them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots,
because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of
Israel, neither seek the LORD!
23-33:17 Thine eyes
shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
23-40:15 Behold,
the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust
of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very
little thing.
23-47:6 I was
wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into
thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.
23-48:8 Yea, thou
heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear
was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very
treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
23-52:13 Behold, my
servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
23-64:9 Be not
wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember
iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
23-64:12 Wilt thou
refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and
afflict us very sore?
24-2:12 Be
astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.
24-4:19 My
bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart;
my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard,
O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
24-5:11 For the
house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very
treacherously against me, saith the LORD.
24-12:1 Righteous
art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy
judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are
all they happy that deal very treacherously?
24-14:17 Therefore
thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and
day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken
with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.
24-18:13 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the heathen, who hath heard such things:
the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible
thing.
24-20:15 Cursed be
the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto
thee; making him very glad.
24-24:2 One
basket had very good figs, even like
the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were
so bad.
24-24:3 Then said
the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very
evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
24-27:7 And all
nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and
great kings shall serve themselves of him.
24-40:12 Even all
the Jews returned out of all places whither they were driven, and came to the
land of Judah, to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much.
24-46:20 Egypt is
like a very fair heifer, but destruction
cometh; it cometh out of the north.
25-5:22 But thou
hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth
against us.
26-2:3 And he
said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a
rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have
transgressed against me, even unto this very
day.
26-16:47 Yet hast
thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if
that were a very little thing, thou
wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.
26-27:25 The ships
of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made
very glorious in the midst of the seas.
26-33:32 And, lo,
thou art unto them as a very lovely song
of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they
hear thy words, but they do them not.
26-37:2 And
caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
26-40:2 In the
visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame
of a city on the south.
26-47:7 Now when
I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
26-47:9 And it
shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth,
whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters
shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live
whither the river cometh.
27-2:12 For this
cause the king was angry and very furious, and
commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
27-6:19 Then the
king arose very early in the morning, and went
in haste unto the den of lions.
27-7:20 And of
the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came
up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a
mouth that spake very great things, whose look was
more stout than his fellows.
27-8:8 Therefore
the he goat waxed very great: and when he was
strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward
the four winds of heaven.
27-11:25 And he
shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a
great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand:
for they shall forecast devices against him.
29-2:11 And the
LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his
word: for the day of the LORD is great and very
terrible; and who can abide it?
30-5:20 Shall not
the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
32-4:1 But it
displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very
angry.
35-2:13 Behold, is
it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
38-1:15 And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at
ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the
affliction.
38-8:4 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the
streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
38-9:2 And
Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.
38-9:5 Ashkelon
shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall
be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be
inhabited.
38-14:4 And his
feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before
Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst
thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall
remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
40-10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
40-15:28 Then Jesus
answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee
even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
40-17:18 And Jesus
rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from
that very hour.
40-18:31 So when his
fellowservants saw what was done, they were very
sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
40-21:8 And a very great multitude
