45-ROMANS
45-1:20 For
the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
45-1:21 Because
that, when they knew God, they glorified him
not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations,
and their foolish heart was darkened.
45-1:22 Professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools,
45-1:28 And
even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a
reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
45-1:32 Who
knowing the judgment of God, that they which
commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure
in them that do them.
45-3:9 What
then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved
both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under
sin;
45-3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none
that doeth good, no, not one.
45-3:13 Their
throat is an open sepulchre; with
their tongues they have used deceit; the poison
of asps is under their lips:
45-3:17 And
the way of peace have they not known:
45-4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are
forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
45-4:11 And
he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith
which he had yet being uncircumcised:
that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be
imputed unto them also:
45-4:14 For
if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise
made of none effect:
45-4:17 (As
it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he
believed, even God, who quickeneth
the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
45-5:17 For
if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of
righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
45-8:5 For
they that are after the flesh do mind the things
of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit
the things of the Spirit.
45-8:8 So
then they that are in the flesh cannot please
God.
45-8:14 For
as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they
are the sons of God.
45-8:23 And
not only they,
but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we
ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
45-9:6 Not
as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they
are not all Israel, which are of
Israel:
45-9:7 Neither,
because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all
children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
45-9:8 That
is, They which are the children of the flesh,
these are not the children of God:
but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
45-9:26 And
it shall come to pass, that in the
place where it was said unto them, Ye are
not my people; there shall they be called
the children of the living God.
45-9:32 Wherefore?
Because they
sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
45-10:1 Brethren,
my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
45-10:2 For
I bear them record that they have a zeal of God,
but not according to knowledge.
45-10:3 For
they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and
going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves
unto the righteousness of God.
45-10:14 How
then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they
have not heard? and how shall they hear without
a preacher?
45-10:15 And
how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the
feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
45-10:16 But
they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias
saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
45-10:18 But
I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their
sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
45-11:3 Lord,
they have killed thy prophets, and digged down
thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek
my life.
45-11:8 (According
as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
45-11:10 Let
their eyes be darkened that they may not see,
and bow down their back alway.
45-11:11 I
say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
45-11:20 Well;
because of unbelief they were broken off, and
thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
45-11:23 And
they also, if they
abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them
in again.
45-11:28 As
concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching
the election, they
are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.
45-11:31 Even
so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
45-13:2 Whosoever
therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves
damnation.
45-13:6 For
for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are
God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
45-15:21 But
as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they
shall see: and they that have not heard shall
understand.
45-15:27 It
hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they
are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things,
their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
45-16:18 For
they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus
Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the
hearts of the simple.
46-1 CORINTHIANS
46-2:8 Which
none of the princes of this world knew: for had they
known it, they
would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
46-2:14 But
the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they
are spiritually discerned.
46-3:20 And
again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they
are vain.
46-7:8 I
say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
46-7:9 But
if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it
is better to marry than to burn.
46-7:14 For
the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is
sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
46-7:29 But
this I say, brethren, the time is short:
it remaineth, that both they that have wives be
as though they had none;
46-7:30 And
they that weep, as though they wept not; and they
that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they
possessed not;
46-7:31 And
they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world
passeth away.
46-9:13 Do
ye not know that they which minister about holy
things live of the things of the
temple? and they which wait at the altar are
partakers with the altar?
46-9:14 Even
so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach
the gospel should live of the gospel.
46-9:24 Know
ye not that they which run in a race run all,
but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
46-9:25 And
every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to
obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
46-10:4 And
did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they
drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
46-10:5 But
with many of them God was not well pleased: for they
were overthrown in the wilderness.
46-10:6 Now
these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil
things, as they also lusted.
46-10:11 Now
all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they
are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
46-10:18 Behold
Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat
of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
46-10:20 But
I say, that the things which the
Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils,
and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
46-10:33 Even
as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but
the profit of many, that they may be saved.
46-11:19 For
there must be also heresies among you, that they
which are approved may be made manifest among you.
46-12:19 And
if they were all one member, where were the body?
46-12:20 But
now are they
many members, yet but one body.
46-13:8 Charity
never faileth: but whether there be prophecies,
they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease;
whether there be knowledge, it shall
vanish away.
46-14:7 And
even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be
known what is piped or harped?
46-14:21 In
the law it is written, With men of other
tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will
they not hear me, saith the Lord.
46-14:23 If
therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with
tongues, and there come in those that are
unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say
that ye are mad?
46-14:34 Let
your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to
speak; but they
are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
46-14:35 And
if they will learn any thing, let them ask their
husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
46-15:10 But
by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more
abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the
grace of God which was with me.
46-15:11 Therefore
whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
46-15:18 Then
they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are
perished.
46-15:23 But
every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
46-15:29 Else
what shall they do which are baptized for the
dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they
then baptized for the dead?
46-15:35 But
some man will say, How are the dead
raised up? and with what body do they come?
46-15:48 As
is the earthy, such are they
also that are earthy: and as is the
heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
46-16:4 And
if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with
me.
46-16:15 I
beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the
firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the
saints,)
46-16:17 I
am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which
was lacking on your part they have supplied.
46-16:18 For
they have refreshed my spirit and yours:
therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
47-2 CORINTHIANS
47-5:15 And
that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto
themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
47-6:16 And
what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the
living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
47-8:3 For
to their power, I bear record, yea,
and beyond their power they were willing
of themselves;
47-8:5 And
this they
did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto
us by the will of God.
47-8:23 Whether
any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper
concerning you: or our brethren be
enquired of, they are the messengers of the
churches, and the glory of Christ.
47-9:4 Lest
haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and
find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same
confident boasting.
47-9:5 Therefore
I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they
would go before unto you, and make up before hand your bounty, whereof ye had
notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of
covetousness.
47-9:13 Whiles
by the experiment of this ministration they
glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and
unto all men;
47-10:10 For
his letters, say they, are weighty
and powerful; but his bodily presence
is weak, and his speech contemptible.
47-10:12 For
we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that
commend themselves: but they measuring
themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not
wise.
47-11:12 But
what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire
occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
47-11:22 Are
they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they
the seed of Abraham? so am I.
47-11:23 Are
they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in
stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
47-12:21 And lest, when I come again, my God will
humble me among you, and that I shall
bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness
and fornication and lasciviousness which they
have committed.
48-GALATIANS
48-1:23 But
they had heard only, That he which persecuted us
in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
48-1:24 And
they glorified God in me.
48-2:4 And
that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy
out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they
might bring us into bondage:
48-2:6 But
of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they
were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man’s person:) for they who seemed to
be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:
48-2:7 But
contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of
the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was
unto Peter;
48-2:9 And
when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace
that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas
the right hands of fellowship; that we should
go unto the heathen, and they unto the
circumcision.
48-2:10 Only
they would
that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.
48-2:12 For
before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself,
fearing them which were of the circumcision.
48-2:14 But
when I saw that they walked not uprightly
according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest
after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the
Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
48-3:7 Know
ye therefore that they which are of faith, the
same are the children of Abraham.
48-3:9 So
then they which be of faith are blessed with
faithful Abraham.
48-4:17 They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would
exclude you, that ye might affect them.
48-5:12 I
would they were even cut off which trouble you.
48-5:21 Envyings,
murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told you in
time past, that they which do such things shall
not inherit the kingdom of God.
48-5:24 And
they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with
the affections and lusts.
48-6:12 As
many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they
constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they
should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
48-6:13 For
neither they themselves who are circumcised keep
the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they
may glory in your flesh.
49-EPHESIANS
49-4:14 That
we henceforth be no more children,
tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the
sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
49-5:31 For
this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto
his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
50-PHILIPPIANS
50-3:18 (For
many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are
the enemies of the cross of Christ:
50-4:2 I
beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they
be of the same mind in the Lord.
50-4:22 All
the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of
Caesar’s household.
51-COLOSSIANS
51-1:16 For
by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth,
visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities,
or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
51-1:20 And,
having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all
things unto himself; by him, I say, whether
they be things
in earth, or things in heaven.
51-3:21 Fathers,
provoke not your children to anger, lest
they be discouraged.
51-4:9 With
Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known
unto you all things which are done here.
52-1 THESSALONIANS
52-1:9 For
they themselves shew of us what manner of
entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the
living and true God;
52-2:14 For
ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in
Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen,
even as they have
of the Jews:
52-2:15 Who
both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and
they please not God, and are contrary to all
men:
52-2:16 Forbidding
us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved,
to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
52-5:3 For
when they shall say, Peace and safety; then
sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
52-5:7 For
they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
53-2 THESSALONIANS
53-2:10 And
with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
53-2:11 And
for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
53-2:12 That
they all might be damned who believed not the
truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
53-3:12 Now
them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with
quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
54-1 TIMOTHY
54-1:3 As
I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that
thou mightest charge some that they teach no
other doctrine,
54-1:7 Desiring
to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they
say, nor whereof they affirm.
54-1:20 Of
whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
54-2:15 Notwithstanding
she shall be saved in childbearing, if they
continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
54-3:13 For
they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase
to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ
Jesus.
54-5:7 And
these things give in charge, that they may be
blameless.
54-5:11 But
the younger widows refuse: for when they have
begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will
marry;
54-5:12 Having
damnation, because they have cast off their
first faith.
54-5:13 And
withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle,
but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
54-5:17 Let
the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
54-5:24 Some
men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they
follow after.
54-5:25 Likewise
also the good works of some are
manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise
cannot be hid.
54-6:2 And
they that have believing masters, let them not
despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are
faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
54-6:9 But
they that will be rich fall into temptation and
a snare, and into many foolish and
hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
54-6:10 For
the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves
through with many sorrows.
54-6:17 Charge
them that are rich in this world, that they be
not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who
giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
54-6:18 That
they do good, that they
be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
54-6:19 Laying
up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
55-2 TIMOTHY
55-1:15 This
thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be
turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
55-2:10 Therefore
I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they
may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
55-2:14 Of
these things put them in remembrance,
charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
55-2:16 But
shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
55-2:23 But
foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they
do gender strifes.
55-2:26 And
that they
may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by
him at his will.
55-3:6 For
of this sort are they which creep into houses,
and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
55-3:9 But
they shall proceed no further: for their folly
shall be manifest unto all men, as
theirs also was.
55-4:3 For
the time will come when they will not endure
sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they
heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
55-4:4 And
they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
56-TITUS
56-1:10 For
there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
56-1:11 Whose
mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.
56-1:13 This
witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they
may be sound in the faith;
56-1:16 They profess that they know
God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work
reprobate.
56-2:3 The
aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not
false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
56-2:4 That
they may teach the young women to be sober, to
love their husbands, to love their children,
56-2:10 Not
purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they
may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
56-3:8 This is a faithful saying, and these
things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they
which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These
things are good and profitable unto men.
56-3:9 But
avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about
the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
56-3:14 And
let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
58-HEBREWS
58-1:4 Being
made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more
excellent name than they.
58-1:11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
58-1:12 And
as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall
be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
58-1:14 Are
they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to
minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
58-2:11 For
both he that sanctifieth and they who are
sanctified are all of one: for which
cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
58-3:10 Wherefore
I was grieved with that generation, and said, They
do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
58-3:11 So
I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into
my rest.)
58-3:16 For
some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit
not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
58-3:18 And
to whom sware he that they should not enter into
his rest, but to them that believed not?
58-3:19 So
we see that they could not enter in because of
unbelief.
58-4:3 For
we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my
wrath, if they shall enter into my rest:
although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
58-4:5 And
in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
58-4:6 Seeing
therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in
because of unbelief:
58-6:6 If
they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;
seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God
afresh, and put him to an open shame.
58-7:5 And
verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who
receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the
people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
58-7:23 And
they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
58-8:9 Not
according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took
them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them
not, saith the Lord.
58-8:10 For
this is the covenant that I will make
with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws
into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God,
and they shall be to me a people:
58-8:11 And
they shall not teach every man his neighbour,
and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from
the least to the greatest.
58-9:15 And
for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death,
for the redemption of the transgressions that
were under the first testament, they which
are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
58-10:1 For
the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those
sacrifices which they offered year by year
continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
58-10:2 For
then would they not have ceased to be offered?
because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of
sins.
58-11:13 These
all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar
off, and were persuaded of them, and
embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
58-11:14 For
they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
58-11:15 And
truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they
might have had opportunity to have returned.
58-11:16 But
now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be
called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
58-11:23 By
faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a
proper child; and they were not afraid of the
king’s commandment.
58-11:29 By
faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do
were drowned.
58-11:30 By
faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they
were compassed about seven days.
58-11:35 Women
received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not
accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a
better resurrection:
58-11:37 They were stoned, they
were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being
destitute, afflicted, tormented;
58-11:38 (Of
whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in
deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
58-11:40 God
having provided some better thing for us, that they
without us should not be made perfect.
58-12:10 For
they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
58-12:19 And
the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that
the word should not be spoken to them any more:
58-12:20 (For
they could not endure that which was commanded,
And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust
through with a dart:
58-12:25 See
that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they
escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if
we turn away from him that speaketh from
heaven:
58-13:10 We
have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat
which serve the tabernacle.
58-13:17 Obey
them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they
that must give account, that they may do it with
joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable
for you.
58-13:24 Salute
all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
59-JAMES
59-2:7 Do
not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which
ye are called?
59-2:12 So
speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be
judged by the law of liberty.
59-3:3 Behold,
we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may
obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
59-3:4 Behold
also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they
turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
59-4:1 From
whence come wars and fightings among
you? come they
not hence, even of your lusts
that war in your members?
59-5:15 And
the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and
if he have committed sins, they shall be
forgiven him.
60-1 PETER
60-1:12 Unto
whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto
you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent
down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
60-2:8 And
a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient:
whereunto also they were appointed.
60-2:12 Having
your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your
good works, which they shall behold, glorify
God in the day of visitation.
60-3:1 Likewise,
ye wives, be in subjection to your
own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they
also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
60-3:2 While
they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
60-3:10 For
he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from
evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
60-3:16 Having
a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil
of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed
that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
60-4:4 Wherein
they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot,
speaking evil of you:
60-4:6 For
for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh,
but live according to God in the spirit.
61-2 PETER
61-1:8 For
if these things be in you, and abound, they make
you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the
knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
61-1:21 For
the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake
as they
were moved by the Holy Ghost.
61-2:3 And
through covetousness shall they with feigned words
make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and
their damnation slumbereth not.
61-2:10 But
chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise
government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they
are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
61-2:12 But
these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of
the things that they understand not; and shall
utterly perish in their own corruption;
61-2:13 And
shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to
riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with
their own deceivings while they feast with you;
61-2:14 Having
eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable
souls: an heart they have exercised with
covetous practices; cursed children:
61-2:18 For
when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them
who live in error.
61-2:19 While
they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of
whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
61-2:20 For
if after they have escaped the pollutions of the
world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the
latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
61-2:21 For
it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than,
after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
61-3:4 And
saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep,
all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
61-3:5 For
this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the
word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water
and in the water:
61-3:16 As
also in all his epistles, speaking in
them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also
the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
62-1 JOHN
62-2:19 They went out from us, but they
were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no
doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they
might be made manifest that they were not all of
us.
62-4:1 Beloved,
believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they
are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
62-4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
63-2 JOHN
63-1:1 The
elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I
only, but also all they that have known the
truth;
64-3 JOHN
64-1:7 Because
that for his name’s sake they went forth, taking
nothing of the Gentiles.
65-JUDE
65-1:10 But
these speak evil of those things which they know
not: but what they know naturally, as brute
beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
65-1:11 Woe
unto them! for they have gone in the way of
Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in
the gainsaying of Core.
65-1:12 These
are spots in your feasts of charity, when they
feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried
about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked
up by the roots;
65-1:15 To
execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all
their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly
committed, and of all their hard speeches
which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
65-1:18 How
that they told you there should be mockers in
the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
65-1:19 These
be they who separate themselves, sensual, having
not the Spirit.
66-REVELATION
66-1:3 Blessed
is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those
things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
66-1:7 Behold,
he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced
him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
66-1:15 And
his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned
in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
66-2:2 I
know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear
them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
66-2:9 I
know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
66-2:22 Behold,
I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great
tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
66-2:24 But
unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this
doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
66-2:27 And
he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my
Father.
66-3:4 Thou
hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
66-3:9 Behold,
I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they
are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship
before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
66-4:4 And
round about the throne were four and
twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed
in white raiment; and they had on their heads
crowns of gold.
66-4:8 And
the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
66-4:11 Thou
art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast
created all things, and for thy pleasure they
are and were created.
66-5:9 And
they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to
take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed
us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and
nation;
66-6:4 And
there went out another horse that was red:
and power was given to him that sat
thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they
should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
66-6:9 And
when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that
were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
66-6:10 And
they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long,
O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that
dwell on the earth?
66-6:11 And
white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their
fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should
be fulfilled.
66-7:13 And
one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in
white robes? and whence came they?
66-7:14 And
I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have
washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
66-7:15 Therefore
are they before the throne of God, and serve him
day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell
among them.
66-7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more;
neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
66-8:7 The
first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of
trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
66-8:11 And
the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters
became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
66-9:4 And
it was commanded them that they should not hurt
the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only
those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
66-9:5 And
to them it was given that they should not kill
them, but that they should be tormented five
months: and their torment was as the
torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
66-9:8 And
they had hair as the hair of women, and their
teeth were as the teeth of lions.
66-9:9 And
they had breastplates, as it were breastplates
of iron; and the sound of their wings was
as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
66-9:10 And
they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were
stings in their tails: and their power was
to hurt men five months.
66-9:11 And
they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew
tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek
tongue hath his name Apollyon.
66-9:19 For
their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads,
and with them they do hurt.
66-9:20 And
the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of
the works of their hands, that they should not
worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of
wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
66-9:21 Neither
repented they of their murders, nor of their
sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
66-11:2 But
the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is
given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they
tread under foot forty and two
months.
66-11:3 And
I will give power unto my two
witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand
two hundred and threescore days,
clothed in sackcloth.
66-11:6 These
have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and
have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all
plagues, as often as they will.
66-11:7 And
when they shall have finished their testimony,
the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them,
and shall overcome them, and kill them.
66-11:9 And
they of the people and kindreds and tongues and
nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not
suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
66-11:10 And
they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice
over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these
two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
66-11:11 And
after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and
they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell
upon them which saw them.
66-11:12 And
they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto
them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to
heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
66-11:18 And
the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give
reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear
thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
66-12:6 And
the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God,
that they should feed her there a thousand two
hundred and threescore days.
66-12:11 And
they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and
by the word of their testimony; and they loved
not their lives unto the death.
66-13:4 And
they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto
the beast: and they worshipped the beast,
saying, Who is like unto the beast?
who is able to make war with him?
66-13:14 And
deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the
means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;
saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they
should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did
live.
66-14:3 And
they sung as it were a new song before the
throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that
song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed
from the earth.
66-14:4 These
are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they
which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among
men, being the firstfruits unto God
and to the Lamb.
66-14:5 And
in their mouth was found no guile: for they are
without fault before the throne of God.
66-14:11 And
the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast
and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
66-14:12 Here
is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith
of Jesus.
66-14:13 And
I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the
Spirit, that they may rest from their labours;
and their works do follow them.
66-15:3 And
they sing the song of Moses the servant of God,
and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
66-16:4 And
the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters;
and they became blood.
66-16:6 For
they have shed the blood of saints and prophets,
and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they
are worthy.
66-16:9 And
men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath
power over these plagues: and they repented not
to give him glory.
66-16:10 And
the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom
was full of darkness; and they gnawed their
tongues for pain,
66-16:14 For
they are the spirits of devils, working
miracles, which go forth unto the
kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that
great day of God Almighty.
66-16:15 Behold,
I come as a thief. Blessed is he that
watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
66-17:8 The
beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless
pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell
on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life
from the foundation of the world, when they
behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
66-17:14 These
shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord
of lords, and King of kings: and they that are
with him are called, and chosen, and
faithful.
66-18:9 And
the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously
with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they
shall see the smoke of her burning,
66-18:18 And
cried when they saw the smoke of her burning,
saying, What city is like unto this
great city!
66-18:19 And
they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping
and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all
that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she
made desolate.
66-19:3 And
again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up
for ever and ever.
66-19:9 And
he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the
Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
66-20:4 And
I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and
judgment was given unto them: and I saw the
souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of
God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had
received his mark upon their
foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and
reigned with Christ a thousand years.
66-20:6 Blessed
and holy is he that hath part in the
first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall
reign with him a thousand years.
66-20:9 And
they went up on the breadth of the earth, and
compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came
down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
66-20:13 And
the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead
which were in them: and they were judged every
man according to their works.
66-21:3 And
I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with
them, and they shall be his people, and God
himself shall be with them, and be their
God.
66-21:26 And
they shall bring the glory and honour of the
nations into it.
66-21:27 And
there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
66-22:4 And
they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
66-22:5 And
there shall be no night there; and they need no candle,
neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
66-22:14 Blessed
are they
that do his commandments, that they may have
right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
