01-GENESIS
01-2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother,
and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
01-3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden
of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
01-4:15 And
the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever
slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a
mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
01-11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the
LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the
LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
01-12:12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians
shall see thee, that they shall say, This is
his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.
01-12:19 Why
saidst thou, She is my sister? so I
might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore
behold thy wife, take her, and go thy
way.
01-17:9 And
God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore,
thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
01-18:5 And
I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall
pass on: for therefore are ye come to your
servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
01-18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After
I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
01-19:8 Behold
now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring
them out unto you, and do ye to them as is
good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
01-19:22 Haste
thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
01-20:6 And
God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity
of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
01-20:7 Now
therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet,
and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt
surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
01-20:8 Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called
all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were
sore afraid.
01-21:23 Now
therefore swear unto me here by God that thou
wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son’s son: but according to the kindness that I
have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast
sojourned.
01-23:15 My
lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four
hundred shekels of silver; what is that
betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.
01-24:65 For
she had said unto the servant, What
man is this that walketh in the field
to meet us? And the servant had said,
It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
01-25:30 And
Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name
called Edom.
01-26:33 And
he called it Shebah: therefore the name of the
city is Beersheba unto this day.
01-27:3 Now
therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy
quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;
01-27:8 Now
therefore, my son, obey my voice according to
that which I command thee.
01-27:28 Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the
fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:
01-27:43 Now
therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise,
flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;
01-29:15 And
Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my
brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for
nought? tell me, what shall thy wages
be?
01-29:32 And
Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said,
Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore
my husband will love me.
01-29:33 And
she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard that
I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.
01-29:34 And
she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be
joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore
was his name called Levi.
01-29:35 And
she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.
01-30:6 And
Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given
me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.
01-30:15 And
she said unto her, Is it a small
matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son’s
mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he
shall lie with thee to night for thy son’s mandrakes.
01-31:44 Now
therefore come thou, let us make a covenant, I
and thou; and let it be for a witness between me and thee.
01-31:48 And
Laban said, This heap is a witness
between me and thee this day. Therefore was the
name of it called Galeed;
01-32:32 Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto
this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob’s thigh in the sinew that
shrank.
01-33:10 And
Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then
receive my present at my hand: for therefore I
have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased
with me.
01-33:17 And
Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle:
therefore the name of the place is called
Succoth.
01-34:21 These
men are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land, and trade
therein; for the land, behold, it is large
enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give
them our daughters.
01-37:20 Come
now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him
into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall
see what will become of his dreams.
01-38:29 And
it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out:
and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this
breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.
01-41:33 Now
therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet
and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
01-42:21 And
they said one to another, We are verily
guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he
besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is
this distress come upon us.
01-42:22 And
Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against
the child; and ye would not hear? therefore,
behold, also his blood is required.
01-44:30 Now
therefore when I come to thy servant my father,
and the lad be not with us; seeing
that his life is bound up in the lad’s life;
01-44:33 Now
therefore, I pray thee, let thy servant abide
instead of the lad a bondman to my lord; and let the lad go up with his
brethren.
01-45:5 Now
therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves,
that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.
01-47:4 They
said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy
servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore,
we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen.
01-50:5 My
father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me
in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therefore
let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again.
01-50:21 Now
therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and
your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
02-1:11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to
afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities,
Pithom and Raamses.
02-1:20 Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the
people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
02-3:9 Now
therefore, behold, the cry of the children of
Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the
Egyptians oppress them.
02-3:10 Come
now therefore, and I will send thee unto
Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of
Egypt.
02-4:12 Now
therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and
teach thee what thou shalt say.
02-5:8 And
the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them;
ye shall not diminish ought thereof:
for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.
02-5:17 But
he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore
ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to
the LORD.
02-5:18 Go
therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye
deliver the tale of bricks.
02-9:19 Send
therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall
be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down
upon them, and they shall die.
02-10:17 Now
therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this
once, and intreat the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death
only.
02-12:17 And
ye shall observe the feast of unleavened
bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of
Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in
your generations by an ordinance for ever.
02-13:10 Thou
shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his
season from year to year.
02-13:15 And
it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all
the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the
firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the
LORD all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my
children I redeem.
02-15:23 And
when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore
the name of it was called Marah.
02-16:29 See,
for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore
he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his
place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
02-19:5 Now
therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and
keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all
people: for all the earth is mine:
02-31:14 Ye
shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that
defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut
off from among his people.
02-32:10 Now
therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax
hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great
nation.
02-32:34 Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto
thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I
visit I will visit their sin upon them.
02-33:5 For
the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up
into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore
now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
02-33:13 Now
therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in
thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in
thy sight: and consider that this nation is
thy people.
03-8:35 Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night
seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am
commanded.
03-9:8 Aaron
therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf
of the sin offering, which was for
himself.
03-11:44 For
I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy;
for I am holy: neither shall ye
defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the
earth.
03-11:45 For
I am the LORD that bringeth you up
out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore
be holy, for I am holy.
03-13:52 He
shall therefore burn that garment, whether warp
or woof, in woollen or in linen, or any thing of skin, wherein the plague is:
for it is a fretting leprosy; it
shall be burnt in the fire.
03-16:4 He
shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his
flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall
he be attired: these are holy
garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in
water, and so put them on.
03-17:12 Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul
of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you
eat blood.
03-17:14 For
it is the life of all flesh; the
blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall
eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth
it shall be cut off.
03-18:5 Ye
shall therefore keep my statutes, and my
judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
03-18:25 And
the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the
iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
03-18:26 Ye
shall therefore keep my statutes and my
judgments, and shall not commit any of
these abominations; neither any of
your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
03-18:30 Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before
you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
03-19:8 Therefore every
one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the
hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his
people.
03-19:37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my
judgments, and do them: I am the
LORD.
03-20:7 Sanctify
yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
03-20:22 Ye
shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my
judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein,
spue you not out.
03-20:23 And
ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you:
for they committed all these things, and therefore
I abhorred them.
03-20:25 Ye
shall therefore put difference between clean
beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make
your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing
that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.
03-21:6 They
shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the
offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the
bread of their God, they do offer: therefore
they shall be holy.
03-21:8 Thou
shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth
the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which
sanctify you, am holy.
03-22:9 They
shall therefore keep mine ordinance, lest they
bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they
profane it: I the LORD do sanctify them.
03-22:31 Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them:
I am the LORD.
03-25:17 Ye
shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou
shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD
your God.
04-3:12 And
I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead
of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine;
04-11:18 And
say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall
eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us
flesh to eat? for it was well with us
in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you
flesh, and ye shall eat.
04-14:16 Because
the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto
them, therefore he hath slain them in the
wilderness.
04-14:43 For
the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there
before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the
LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.
04-16:38 The
censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad
plates for a covering of the altar:
for they offered them before the LORD, therefore
they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
04-18:7 Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your
priest’s office for every thing of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall
serve: I have given your priest’s office unto
you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to
death.
04-18:24 But
the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to
inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among
the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
04-18:30 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have
heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as
the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.
04-20:12 And
the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me
in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore
ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
04-21:7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have
sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the
LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
04-22:5 He
sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of
Beor to Pethor, which is by the river
of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there
is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and
they abide over against me:
04-22:6 Come
now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this
people; for they are too mighty for
me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we
may smite them, and that I may drive
them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.
04-22:17 For
I will promote thee unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever thou
sayest unto me: come therefore, I pray thee,
curse me this people.
04-22:19 Now
therefore, I pray you, tarry ye also here this
night, that I may know what the LORD will say unto me more.
04-22:34 And
Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou
stoodest in the way against me: now therefore,
if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
04-24:11 Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to
promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from
honour.
04-24:14 And
now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this
people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
04-27:4 Why
should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he
hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our
father.
04-31:17 Now
therefore kill every male among the little ones,
and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
04-31:50 We
have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD,
what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings,
earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.
04-35:34 Defile
not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit,
wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.
05-2:4 And
command thou the people, saying, Ye are to
pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in
Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:
05-4:1 Now
therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes
and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the
LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
05-4:6 Keep
therefore and do them; for this is your
wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all
these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
05-4:15 Take
ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye
saw no manner of similitude on the day that
the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
05-4:37 And
because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose
their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power
out of Egypt;
05-4:39 Know
therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the
earth beneath: there is none else.
05-4:40 Thou
shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments,
which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy
children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for
ever.
05-5:15 And
remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out
thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the
sabbath day.
05-5:25 Now
therefore why should we die? for this great fire
will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we
shall die.
05-5:32 Ye
shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your
God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the
left.
05-6:3 Hear
therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and
that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised
thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
05-7:9 Know
therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth
covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a
thousand generations;
05-7:11 Thou
shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the
statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.
05-8:6 Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD
thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
05-9:3 Understand
therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy
them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them
out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
05-9:6 Understand
therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not
this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
05-9:26 I
prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord
GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed
through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty
hand.
05-10:16 Circumcise
therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no
more stiffnecked.
05-10:19 Love
ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers
in the land of Egypt.
05-11:1 Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep
his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.
05-11:8 Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I
command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land,
whither ye go to possess it;
05-11:18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart
and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as
frontlets between your eyes.
05-14:7 Nevertheless
these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the
cloven hoof; as the camel, and the
hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they
are unclean unto you.
05-15:11 For
the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore
I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to
thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
05-15:15 And
thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD
thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee
this thing to day.
05-16:2 Thou
shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the
LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall
choose to place his name there.
05-16:15 Seven
days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which
the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine
increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore
thou shalt surely rejoice.
05-18:2 Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their
brethren: the LORD is their inheritance,
as he hath said unto them.
05-23:14 For
the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give
up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall
thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
05-24:18 But
thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD thy God
redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee
to do this thing.
05-24:22 And
thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
05-25:19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath
given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD
thy God giveth thee for an
inheritance to possess it, that thou
shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not
forget it.
05-26:16 This
day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments:
thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all
thine heart, and with all thy soul.
05-27:4 Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which
I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with
plaister.
05-27:10 Thou
shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy
God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
05-28:48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the
LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and
in want of all things: and he shall
put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
05-29:9 Keep
therefore the words of this covenant, and do
them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.
05-30:19 I
call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may
live:
05-31:19 Now
therefore write ye this song for you, and teach
it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a
witness for me against the children of Israel.
05-31:22 Moses
therefore wrote this song the same day, and
taught it the children of Israel.
06-1:2 Moses
my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over
this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
06-2:12 Now
therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the
LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my
father’s house, and give me a true token:
06-3:12 Now
therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes
of Israel, out of every tribe a man.
06-4:17 Joshua
therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come ye
up out of Jordan.
06-7:12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand
before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because
they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the
accursed from among you.
06-7:14 In
the morning therefore ye shall be brought
according to your tribes: and it shall be, that
the tribe which the LORD taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the LORD
shall take shall come by households; and the household which the LORD shall
take shall come man by man.
06-8:6 (For
they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will
say, They flee before us, as at the first: therefore
we will flee before them.
06-8:9 Joshua
therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie
in ambush, and abode between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of Ai: but Joshua lodged
that night among the people.
06-9:6 And
they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men
of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore
make ye a league with us.
06-9:11 Wherefore
our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take
victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.
06-9:19 But
all the princes said unto all the congregation, We have sworn unto them by the
LORD God of Israel: now therefore we may not
touch them.
06-9:23 Now
therefore ye are
cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers
of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.
06-9:24 And
they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how
that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and
to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of
you, and have done this thing.
06-10:5 Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of
Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the
king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their
hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it.
06-10:9 Joshua
therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.
06-13:7 Now
therefore divide this land for an inheritance
unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
06-14:4 For
the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the
land, save cities to dwell in, with
their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.
06-14:12 Now
therefore give me this mountain, whereof the
LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great
and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to
drive them out, as the LORD said.
06-14:14 Hebron
therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the
son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed
the LORD God of Israel.
06-17:1 There
was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the firstborn of Joseph; to
wit, for Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead: because he
was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and
Bashan.
06-17:4 And
they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and
before the princes, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance
among our brethren. Therefore according to the
commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their
father.
06-18:6 Ye
shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, that I may
cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.
06-19:9 Out
of the portion of the children of Judah was
the inheritance of the children of Simeon: for the part of the children of
Judah was too much for them: therefore the
children of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of them.
06-19:47 And
the coast of the children of Dan went out too
little for them: therefore the children of
Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of
the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after
the name of Dan their father.
06-22:4 And
now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession,
which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side Jordan.
06-22:26 Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an
altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice:
06-22:28 Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should so say to us or to our generations in
time to come, that we may say again, Behold
the pattern of the altar of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for burnt
offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it is a
witness between us and you.
06-23:6 Be
ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do
all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside
therefrom to the right hand or to the left;
06-23:11 Take
good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye
love the LORD your God.
06-23:15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God
promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have
destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
06-24:10 But
I would not hearken unto Balaam; therefore he
blessed you still: so I delivered you out of his hand.
06-24:14 Now
therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in
sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the
other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
06-24:18 And
the LORD drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt
in the land: therefore
will we also serve the LORD; for he is
our God.
06-24:23 Now
therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are
among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
06-24:27 And
Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us;
for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be
therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your
God.
07-2:23 Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving
them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.
07-3:8 Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against
Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of
Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years.
07-3:25 And
they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of
the parlour; therefore they took a key, and
opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.
07-6:32 Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying,
Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.
07-7:3 Now
therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the
people, saying, Whosoever is fearful
and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned
of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.
07-8:7 And
Gideon said, Therefore when the LORD hath
delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with
the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.
07-9:16 Now
therefore, if ye have done truly and sincerely,
in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal
and his house, and have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands;
07-9:32 Now
therefore up by night, thou and the people that is with thee, and lie in wait in the
field:
07-11:8 And
the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore
we turn again to thee now, that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the
children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
07-11:13 And
the king of the children of Ammon answered unto the messengers of Jephthah,
Because Israel took away my land, when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon
even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore
restore those lands again peaceably.
07-11:26 While
Israel dwelt in Heshbon and her towns, and in Aroer and her towns, and in all
the cities that be along by the
coasts of Arnon, three hundred years? why therefore
did ye not recover them within that
time?
07-13:4 Now
therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not
wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:
07-14:2 And
he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman
in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore
get her for me to wife.
07-15:2 And
her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than
she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her.
07-16:12 Delilah
therefore took new ropes, and bound him
therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there
were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his
arms like a thread.
07-17:3 And
when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels
of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver
unto the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten
image: now therefore I will restore it unto
thee.
07-18:14 Then
answered the five men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said unto
their brethren, Do ye know that there is in these houses an ephod, and
teraphim, and a graven image, and a molten image? now therefore
consider what ye have to do.
07-19:7 And
when the man rose up to depart, his father in law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.
07-20:13 Now
therefore deliver us the men, the children of Belial, which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from
Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their
brethren the children of Israel:
07-20:42 Therefore they turned their backs before the men of Israel unto the way of the
wilderness; but the battle overtook them; and them which came out of the cities they destroyed in the midst of them.
07-21:20 Therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin,
saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards;
08-3:3 Wash
thy self therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy
raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done
eating and drinking.
08-3:9 And
he said, Who art thou? And she
answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid:
spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid;
for thou art a near kinsman.
08-4:8 Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.
09-1:7 And
as he did so year by year, when she
went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore
she wept, and did not eat.
09-1:13 Now
Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not
heard: therefore Eli thought she had been
drunken.
09-1:28 Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as
he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.
09-3:9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it
shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant
heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
09-3:14 And
therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli,
that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor
offering for ever.
09-5:5 Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that
come into Dagon’s house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this
day.
09-5:8 They
sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the
Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of
Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto
Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither.
09-5:10 Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it
came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying,
They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our
people.
09-6:7 Now
therefore make a new cart, and take two milch
kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring
their calves home from them:
09-8:9 Now
therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet
protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall
reign over them.
09-9:13 As
soon as ye be come into the city, ye shall straightway find him, before he go
up to the high place to eat: for the people will not eat until he come, because
he doth bless the sacrifice; and afterwards
they eat that be bidden. Now therefore get you
up; for about this time ye shall find him.
09-10:12 And
one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became
a proverb, Is Saul also among the
prophets?
09-10:19 And
ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your
adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your
tribes, and by your thousands.
09-10:22 Therefore they enquired of the LORD further, if the
man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold, he hath hid himself
among the stuff.
09-11:10 Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will
come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you.
09-12:7 Now
therefore stand still, that I may reason with
you before the LORD of all the righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to you
and to your fathers.
09-12:13 Now
therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold,
the LORD hath set a king over you.
09-12:16 Now
therefore stand and see this great thing, which the
LORD will do before your eyes.
09-13:12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now
upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced
myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.
09-14:41 Therefore Saul said unto the LORD God of Israel, Give
a perfect lot. And Saul and Jonathan
were taken: but the people escaped.
09-15:1 Samuel
also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of
the LORD.
09-15:25 Now
therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn
again with me, that I may worship the LORD.
09-17:51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and
took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut
off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead,
they fled.
09-18:13 Therefore Saul removed him from him, and made him his
captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.
09-18:22 And
Saul commanded his servants, saying, Commune
with David secretly, and say, Behold, the king hath delight in thee, and all
his servants love thee: now therefore be the
king’s son in law.
09-19:2 But
Jonathan Saul’s son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying,
Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore,
I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself:
09-20:8 Therefore thou shalt deal kindly with thy servant; for
thou hast brought thy servant into a covenant of the LORD with thee:
notwithstanding, if there be in me iniquity, slay me thyself; for why shouldest
thou bring me to thy father?
09-20:29 And
he said, Let me go, I pray thee; for our family hath a sacrifice in the city;
and my brother, he hath commanded me to
be there: and now, if I have found favour in thine eyes, let me get away, I
pray thee, and see my brethren. Therefore he
cometh not unto the king’s table.
09-21:3 Now
therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present.
09-22:1 David
therefore departed thence, and escaped to the
cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him.
09-23:2 Therefore David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I
go and smite these Philistines? And the LORD said unto David, Go, and smite the
Philistines, and save Keilah.
09-23:20 Now
therefore, O king, come down according to all
the desire of thy soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king’s hand.
09-23:23 See
therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking
places where he hideth himself, and come ye again to me with the certainty, and
I will go with you: and it shall come to pass, if he be in the land, that I
will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah.
09-23:28 Wherefore
Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines: therefore they called that place Selahammahlekoth.
09-24:15 The
LORD therefore be judge, and judge between me
and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand.
09-24:21 Swear
now therefore unto me by the LORD, that thou wilt
not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my
father’s house.
09-25:17 Now
therefore know and consider what thou wilt do;
for evil is determined against our master, and against all his household: for
he is such a son of Belial, that a man cannot speak to him.
09-25:26 Now
therefore, my lord, as the LORD liveth, and as thy
soul liveth, seeing the LORD hath withholden thee from coming to shed blood, and from avenging thyself with
thine own hand, now let thine enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be
as Nabal.
09-26:4 David
therefore sent out spies, and understood that
Saul was come in very deed.
09-26:8 Then
said Abishai to David, God hath delivered thine enemy into thine hand this day:
now therefore let me smite him, I pray thee,
with the spear even to the earth at once, and I will not smite him the second time.
09-26:19 Now
therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king
hear the words of his servant. If the LORD have stirred thee up against me, let
him accept an offering: but if they be the
children of men, cursed be they
before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the
inheritance of the LORD, saying, Go, serve other gods.
09-26:20 Now
therefore, let not my blood fall to the earth
before the face of the LORD: for the king of Israel is come out to seek a flea,
as when one doth hunt a partridge in the mountains.
09-27:12 And
Achish believed David, saying, He hath made his people Israel utterly to abhor
him; therefore he shall be my servant for ever.
09-28:2 And
David said to Achish, Surely thou shalt know what thy servant can do. And
Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee
keeper of mine head for ever.
09-28:15 And
Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul
answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and
God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by
dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou
mayest make known unto me what I shall do.
09-28:18 Because
thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon
Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing
unto thee this day.
09-28:22 Now
therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto
the voice of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and
eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way.
09-31:4 Then
said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through
therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me.
But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
10-2:7 Therefore now let your hands be strengthened, and be ye
valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah have
anointed me king over them.
10-4:11 How
much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon
his bed? shall I not therefore now require his
blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?
10-5:20 And
David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath
broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place
Baalperazim.
10-6:21 And
David said unto Michal, It was before
the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to
appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
10-6:23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child
unto the day of her death.
10-7:8 Now
therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant
David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from
following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:
10-7:27 For
thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I
will build thee an house: therefore hath thy
servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.
10-7:29 Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of
thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD,
hast spoken it: and with thy blessing
let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.
10-9:10 Thou
therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall
till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master’s son may have food to eat: but
Mephibosheth thy master’s son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had
fifteen sons and twenty servants.
10-12:10 Now
therefore the sword shall never depart from
thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah
the Hittite to be thy wife.
10-12:16 David
therefore besought God for the child; and David
fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.
10-12:19 But
when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was
dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is
the child dead? And they said, He is dead.
10-12:28 Now
therefore gather the rest of the people
together, and encamp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and
it be called after my name.
10-13:13 And
I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one
of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray
thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.
10-13:33 Now
therefore let not my lord the king take the
thing to his heart, to think that all the king’s sons are dead: for Amnon only
is dead.
10-14:15 Now
therefore that I am come to speak of this thing
unto my lord the king, it is because
the people have made me afraid: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto
the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid.
10-14:17 Then
thine handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for
as an angel of God, so is my lord the
king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD
thy God will be with thee.
10-14:21 And
the king said unto Joab, Behold now, I have done this thing: go therefore, bring the young man Absalom again.
10-14:26 And
when he polled his head, (for it was at every year’s end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him, therefore
he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels after the
king’s weight.
10-14:29 Therefore Absalom sent for Joab, to have sent him to
the king; but he would not come to him: and when he sent again the second time,
he would not come.
10-14:30 Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab’s field
is near mine, and he hath barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom’s
servants set the field on fire.
10-14:32 And
Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto thee, saying, Come hither, that I
may send thee to the king, to say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? it had been good for me to have been there still: now therefore let me see the king’s face; and if there be any iniquity in me, let him kill me.
10-15:29 Zadok
therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God
again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.
10-15:35 And
hast thou not there with thee Zadok
and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be,
that what thing soever thou shalt
hear out of the king’s house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
10-17:11 Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally
gathered unto thee, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that
thou go to battle in thine own person.
10-17:16 Now
therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying,
Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over;
lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.
10-18:3 But
the people answered, Thou shalt not go forth: for if we flee away, they will
not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but now thou art worth ten thousand of us: therefore now it
is better that thou succour us out of the city.
10-19:7 Now
therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably
unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will
not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all
the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.
10-19:10 And
Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king
back?
10-19:20 For
thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore,
behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to
meet my lord the king.
10-19:23 Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not
die. And the king sware unto him.
10-19:27 And
he hath slandered thy servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what
is good in thine eyes.
10-19:28 For
all of my father’s house were but dead
men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did
eat at thine own table. What right therefore
have I yet to cry any more unto the king?
10-22:25 Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my
righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.
10-22:50 Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among
the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
10-23:17 And
he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their
lives? therefore he would not drink it. These
things did these three mighty men.
10-23:19 Was
he not most honourable of three? therefore he
was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.
11-1:12 Now
therefore come, let me, I pray thee, give thee
counsel, that thou mayest save thine own life, and the life of thy son Solomon.
11-2:2 I
go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore,
and shew thyself a man;
11-2:6 Do
therefore according to thy wisdom, and let not
his hoar head go down to the grave in peace.
11-2:9 Now
therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou art a wise man, and knowest what thou
oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with
blood.
11-2:19 Bathsheba
therefore went unto king Solomon, to speak unto
him for Adonijah. And the king rose up to meet her, and bowed himself unto her,
and sat down on his throne, and caused a seat to be set for the king’s mother;
and she sat on his right hand.
11-2:24 Now
therefore, as
the LORD liveth, which hath established me, and set me on the throne of
David my father, and who hath made me an house, as he promised, Adonijah shall
be put to death this day.
11-2:33 Their
blood shall therefore return upon the head of
Joab, and upon the head of his seed for ever: but upon David, and upon his
seed, and upon his house, and upon his throne, shall there be peace for ever
from the LORD.
11-2:44 The
king said moreover to Shimei, Thou knowest all the wickedness which thine heart
is privy to, that thou didst to David my father: therefore
the LORD shall return thy wickedness upon thine own head;
11-3:9 Give
therefore thy servant an understanding heart to
judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to
judge this thy so great a people?
11-5:6 Now
therefore command thou that they hew me cedar
trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee
will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for
thou knowest that there is not among
us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.
11-8:25 Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy
servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail
thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children
take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
11-8:61 Let
your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD
our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
11-9:9 And
they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth
their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods,
and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore
hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.
11-10:9 Blessed
be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of
Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore
made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.
11-11:40 Solomon
sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam
arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until
the death of Solomon.
11-12:4 Thy
father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make
thou the grievous service of thy father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon
us, lighter, and we will serve thee.
11-12:18 Then
king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over
the tribute; and all Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to
his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
11-12:24 Thus
saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the
children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me.
They hearkened therefore to the word of the
LORD, and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD.
11-13:26 And
when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the
man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion,
which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he
spake unto him.
11-14:10 Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of
Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in
Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man
taketh away dung, till it be all gone.
11-14:12 Arise
thou therefore, get thee to thine own house: and when thy feet enter into the city,
the child shall die.
11-18:19 Now
therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of
Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which
eat at Jezebel’s table.
11-18:23 Let
them therefore give us two bullocks; and let
them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other
bullock, and lay it on wood, and put
no fire under:
11-20:23 And
the servants of the king of Syria said unto him, Their gods are gods of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we; but let us fight
against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.
11-20:28 And
there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus
saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is
not God of the valleys, therefore will I
deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
11-20:42 And
he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Because thou hast let go out of thy hand a man whom I appointed to utter
destruction, therefore thy life shall go for his
life, and thy people for his people.
11-22:19 And
he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the
LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing
by him on his right hand and on his left.
11-22:23 Now
therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying
spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil
concerning thee.
12-1:4 Now
therefore thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not
come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die. And
Elijah departed.
12-1:6 And
they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn
again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that
thou sendest to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on
which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
12-1:14 Behold,
there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former
fifties with their fifties: therefore let my
life now be precious in thy sight.
12-1:16 And
he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers
to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is
it not because there is no God in
Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou
shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely
die.
12-2:17 And
when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but
found him not.
12-3:23 And
they said, This is blood: the kings
are surely slain, and they have smitten one another: now therefore, Moab, to the spoil.
12-4:33 He
went in therefore, and shut the door upon them
twain, and prayed unto the LORD.
12-5:15 And
he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood
before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy
servant.
12-5:27 The
leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto
thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
12-6:7 Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.
12-6:11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore
troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will
ye not shew me which of us is for the
king of Israel?
12-6:14 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a
great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.
12-7:4 If
we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here,
we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall
unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they
kill us, we shall but die.
12-7:9 Then
they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till
the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.
12-7:12 And
the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you
what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone
out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of
the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.
12-7:14 They
took therefore two chariot horses; and the king
sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see.
12-9:26 Surely
I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the
LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and
cast him into the plat of ground, according
to the word of the LORD.
12-10:19 Now
therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal,
all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great
sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever
shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers
of Baal.
12-12:7 Then
king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches
of the house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver
it for the breaches of the house.
12-14:11 But
Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king
of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the
face at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to
Judah.
12-15:16 Then
Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein,
and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore
he smote it; and all the women
therein that were with child he ripped up.
12-17:4 And
the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to
So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound
him in prison.
12-17:18 Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and
removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
12-17:25 And
so it was at the beginning of their
dwelling there, that they feared not
the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among
them, which slew some of them.
12-17:26 Wherefore
they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed,
and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the
land: therefore he hath sent lions among them,
and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the
land.
12-18:23 Now
therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord
the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be
able on thy part to set riders upon them.
12-19:18 And
have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.
12-19:19 Now
therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save
thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD God, even thou only.
12-19:26 Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they
were dismayed and confounded; they were as
the grass of the field, and as the
green herb, as the grass on the house
tops, and as corn blasted before it
be grown up.
12-19:28 Because
thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my
bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
12-19:32 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of
Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come
before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.
12-21:12 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I
am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it,
both his ears shall tingle.
12-22:17 Because
they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might
provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore
my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.
12-22:20 Behold
therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers,
and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not
see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king
word again.
13-10:14 And
enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him,
and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
13-11:3 Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to
Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they
anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
13-11:7 And
David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called
it the city of David.
13-11:19 And
said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing: shall I drink the blood
of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with the jeopardy of their lives they brought
it. Therefore he would not drink it. These
things did these three mightiest.
13-14:11 So
they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God
hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of
waters: therefore they called the name of that
place Baalperazim.
13-14:14 Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said
unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over
against the mulberry trees.
13-14:16 David
therefore did as God commanded him: and they
smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer.
13-17:7 Now
therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant
David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou
shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:
13-17:23 Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast
spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever,
and do as thou hast said.
13-17:25 For
thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee.
13-17:27 Now
therefore let it please thee to bless the house
of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD,
and it shall be blessed for ever.
13-21:7 And
God was displeased with this thing; therefore he
smote Israel.
13-21:12 Either
three years’ famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while
that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee;
or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land,
and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again
to him that sent me.
13-22:5 And
David said, Solomon my son is young
and tender, and the house that is to
be builded for the LORD must be exceeding
magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now
make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.
13-22:16 Of
the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with
thee.
13-22:19 Now
set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God,
to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into
the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.
13-23:11 And
Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah had not many
sons; therefore they were in one reckoning,
according to their father’s house.
13-24:2 But
Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest’s
office.
13-28:8 Now
therefore in the sight of all Israel the
congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all
the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and
leave it for an inheritance for your
children after you for ever.
13-29:13 Now
therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise
thy glorious name.
14-2:7 Send
me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold,
and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue,
and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did
provide.
14-2:15 Now
therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil,
and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants:
14-6:10 The
LORD therefore hath performed his word that he
hath spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on
the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the
name of the LORD God of Israel.
14-6:16 Now
therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy
servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall
not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that
thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked
before me.
14-6:19 Have
respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant,
and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer
which thy servant prayeth before thee:
14-6:21 Hearken
therefore unto the supplications of thy servant,
and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from
thy dwelling place, even from heaven;
and when thou hearest, forgive.
14-6:41 Now
therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting
place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O LORD God, be
clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.
14-7:22 And
it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which
brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and
worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath
he brought all this evil upon them.
14-9:8 Blessed
be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because
thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore
made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
14-10:4 Thy
father made our yoke grievous: now therefore
ease thou somewhat the grievous servitude of thy father, and his heavy yoke
that he put upon us, and we will serve thee.
14-12:5 Then
came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to
the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of
Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
14-12:7 And
when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to
Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them,
but I will grant them some deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out
upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
14-14:7 Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these
cities, and make about them walls,
and towers, gates, and bars, while the
land is yet before us; because we
have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.
14-15:7 Be
ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be
weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
14-16:7 And
at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him,
Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy
God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria
escaped out of thine hand.
14-16:9 For
the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself
strong in the behalf of them whose
heart is perfect toward him. Herein
thou hast done foolishly: therefore from
henceforth thou shalt have wars.
14-17:5 Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand;
and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in
abundance.
14-18:5 Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of
prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramothgilead to
battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the king’s hand.
14-18:12 And
the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words
of the prophets declare good to the
king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I
pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
14-18:16 Then
he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have
no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return therefore every
man to his house in peace.
14-18:18 Again
he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw
the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his
right hand and on his left.
14-18:22 Now
therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying
spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil
against thee.
14-18:31 And
it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they
said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but
Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.
14-18:33 And
a certain man drew a bow at a
venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand,
that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.
14-19:2 And
Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king
Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD?
therefore is
wrath upon thee from before the LORD.
14-20:26 And
on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for
there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name
of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.
14-28:11 Now
hear me therefore, and deliver the captives
again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of
the LORD is upon you.
14-28:23 For
he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because
the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may
help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
14-30:7 And
be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against
the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.
14-30:17 For
there were many in the congregation
that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites
had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the LORD.
14-32:15 Now
therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor
persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation
or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand
of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?
14-32:25 But
Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem.
14-34:25 Because
they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might
provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore
my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched.
14-35:14 And
afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the
priests the sons of Aaron were busied in
offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore
the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.
14-35:24 His
servants therefore took him out of that chariot,
and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to
Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one
of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for
Josiah.
14-36:17 Therefore he brought upon them the king of the
Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their
sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that
stooped for age: he gave them all
into his hand.
15-2:62 These
sought their register among those
that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the
priesthood.
15-4:14 Now
because we have maintenance from the
king’s palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king’s dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king;
15-5:17 Now
therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king’s
treasure house, which is there at
Babylon, whether it be so, that a
decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and
let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.
15-6:6 Now
therefore,
Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the
Apharsachites, which are beyond the
river, be ye far from thence:
15-9:12 Now
therefore give not your daughters unto their
sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or
their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and
leave it for an inheritance to your
children for ever.
15-10:3 Now
therefore let us make a covenant with our God to
put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel
of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it
be done according to the law.
15-10:11 Now
therefore make confession unto the LORD God of
your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of
the land, and from the strange wives.
16-2:20 Then
answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye
have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.
16-4:13 Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the
people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.
16-4:20 In
what place therefore
ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall
fight for us.
16-5:2 For
there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.
16-6:7 And
thou hast also appointed prophets to preach of thee at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king in Judah: and now shall
it be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let us take counsel together.
16-6:9 For
they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work,
that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.
16-6:13 Therefore was he
hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for
an evil report, that they might reproach me.
16-7:64 These
sought their register among those
that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore
were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
16-9:27 Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their
enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto
thee, thou heardest them from heaven;
and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them
out of the hand of their enemies.
16-9:28 But
after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore
leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion
over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst
thou deliver them according to thy mercies;
16-9:30 Yet
many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit
in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore
gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.
16-9:32 Now
therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and
the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem
little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and
on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people,
since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
16-13:8 And
it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all
the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber.
16-13:28 And
one of the sons of Joiada, the son of
Eliashib the high priest, was son in
law to Sanballat the Horonite: therefore I
chased him from me.
17-1:12 But
the queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned
in him.
17-2:23 And
when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was
written in the book of the chronicles before the king.
17-3:8 And
Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and
dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither
keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer
them.
17-9:19 Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the
unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending
portions one to another.
17-9:26 Wherefore
they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore
for all the words of this letter, and of
that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto
them,
18-5:17 Behold,
happy is the man whom God correcteth:
therefore despise not thou the chastening of the
Almighty:
18-6:3 For
now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore
my words are swallowed up.
18-6:28 Now
therefore be content, look upon me; for it is evident unto you if I lie.
18-7:11 Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in
the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
18-9:22 This
is one thing, therefore I said it, He destroyeth the perfect and the
wicked.
18-10:15 If
I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be
righteous, yet will I not lift up my
head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction;
18-11:6 And
that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore
that God exacteth of thee less than
thine iniquity deserveth.
18-17:4 For
thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore
shalt thou not exalt them.
18-20:2 Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
18-20:21 There
shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall
no man look for his goods.
18-21:14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we
desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
18-22:10 Therefore snares are
round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
18-23:15 Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider,
I am afraid of him.
18-32:10 Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine
opinion.
18-34:10 Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding:
far be it from God, that he should do wickedness;
and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
18-34:25 Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are
destroyed.
18-34:33 Should it be according to thy mind? he
will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
18-35:14 Although
thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment
is before him; therefore trust thou in him.
18-35:16 Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he
multiplieth words without knowledge.
18-37:24 Men
do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
18-42:3 Who
is he that hideth counsel without
knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I
understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
18-42:8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven
rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering;
and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with
you after your folly, in that ye have
not spoken of me the thing which is right,
like my servant Job.
19-1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
19-2:10 Be
wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed,
ye judges of the earth.
19-7:7 So
shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
19-16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my
flesh also shall rest in hope.
19-18:24 Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my
righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
19-18:49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among
the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
19-21:12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against
the face of them.
19-25:8 Good
and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
19-26:1 Judge
me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the
LORD; therefore
I shall not slide.
19-27:6 And
now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of
joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
19-28:7 The
LORD is my strength and my shield; my
heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore
my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
19-31:3 For
thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.
19-36:7 How
excellent is thy lovingkindness, O
God! therefore the children of men put their
trust under the shadow of thy wings.
19-40:12 For
innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon
me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine
head: therefore my heart faileth me.
19-42:6 O
my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore
will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the
hill Mizar.
19-45:2 Thou
art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
19-45:7 Thou
lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore
God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
19-45:17 I
will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
19-46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be
removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
19-55:19 God
shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they
have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
19-59:5 Thou
therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel,
awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors.
Selah.
19-63:7 Because
thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow
of thy wings will I rejoice.
19-73:6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain;
violence covereth them as a garment.
19-73:10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a
full cup are wrung out to them.
19-78:21 Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger
also came up against Israel;
19-78:33 Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and
their years in trouble.
19-91:14 Because
he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I
deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
19-106:23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not
Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest
he should destroy them.
19-106:26 Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to
overthrow them in the wilderness:
19-106:40 Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against
his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
19-107:12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour;
they fell down, and there was none to
help.
19-110:7 He
shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall
he lift up the head.
19-116:2 Because
he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will
I call upon him as long as I live.
19-116:10 I
believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly
afflicted:
19-118:7 The
LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore
shall I see my desire upon them that
hate me.
19-119:104 Through
thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I
hate every false way.
19-119:119 Thou
puttest away all the wicked of the earth like
dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.
19-119:127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea,
above fine gold.
19-119:128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all
things to be right; and I hate every false way.
19-119:129 PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore
doth my soul keep them.
19-119:140 Thy
word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
19-139:19 Surely
thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore,
ye bloody men.
19-143:4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart
within me is desolate.
20-1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own
way, and be filled with their own devices.
20-4:7 Wisdom
is the principal thing; therefore get
wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
20-5:7 Hear
me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not
from the words of my mouth.
20-6:15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly
shall he be broken without remedy.
20-6:34 For
jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
20-7:15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to
seek thy face, and I have found thee.
20-7:24 Hearken
unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend
to the words of my mouth.
20-8:32 Now
therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for
blessed are they that keep my ways.
20-17:11 An
evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.
20-17:14 The
beginning of strife is as when one
letteth out water: therefore leave off
contention, before it be meddled with.
20-20:4 The
sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest,
and have nothing.
20-20:19 He
that goeth about as a talebearer
revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him
that flattereth with his lips.
21-2:1 I
said in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity.
21-2:17 Therefore I hated life; because the work that is
wrought under the sun is grievous
unto me: for all is vanity and
vexation of spirit.
21-2:20 Therefore I went about to cause my heart to despair of
all the labour which I took under the sun.
21-5:2 Be
not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.
21-8:6 Because
to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore
the misery of man is great upon him.
21-8:11 Because
sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do
evil.
21-11:10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away
evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
22-1:3 Because
of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore
do the virgins love thee.
23-1:24 Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the
mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of
mine enemies:
23-2:6 Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of
Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in
the children of strangers.
23-2:9 And
the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
23-3:17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of
the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret
parts.
23-5:13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their
honourable men are famished, and
their multitude dried up with thirst.
23-5:14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her
mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp,
and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
23-5:24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the
flame consumeth the chaff, so their
root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because
they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the
Holy One of Israel.
23-5:25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his
people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten
them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is
not turned away, but his hand is stretched
out still.
23-7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign;
Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name
Immanuel.
23-8:7 Now
therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon
them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up
over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
23-9:11 Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of
Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;
23-9:14 Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and
tail, branch and rush, in one day.
23-9:17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young
men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and
every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his
hand is stretched out still.
23-10:16 Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send
among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like
the burning of a fire.
23-10:24 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my
people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite
thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of
Egypt.
23-12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the
wells of salvation.
23-13:7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s
heart shall melt:
23-13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth
shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the
day of his fierce anger.
23-15:4 And
Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed
soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him.
23-15:7 Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that
which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows.
23-16:7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall
howl: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.
23-16:9 Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine
of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the
shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.
23-17:10 Because
thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the
rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant
pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
23-21:3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have
taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down
at the hearing of it; I was dismayed
at the seeing of it.
23-22:4 Therefore said I, Look away from me: I will weep
bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of
my people.
23-24:6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they
that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the
inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
23-25:3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the
city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
23-26:14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and
made all their memory to perish.
23-27:9 By
this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be
purged; and this is all the fruit to take
away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that
are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
23-27:11 When
the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on
them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.
23-28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in
Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that
believeth shall not make haste.
23-28:22 Now
therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be
made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even
determined upon the whole earth.
23-29:14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous
work among this people, even a
marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
23-29:22 Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham,
concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall
his face now wax pale.
23-30:3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame,
and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your
confusion.
23-30:7 For
the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore
have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.
23-30:13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach
ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at
an instant.
23-30:16 But
ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore
shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore
shall they that pursue you be swift.
23-30:18 And
therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious
unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that
he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is
a God of judgment: blessed are all
they that wait for him.
23-36:8 Now
therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master
the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able
on thy part to set riders upon them.
23-37:19 And
have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.
23-37:20 Now
therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his
hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.
23-37:27 Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.
23-37:29 Because
thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my
bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
23-37:33 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of
Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come
before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it.
23-38:20 The
LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed
instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.
23-42:25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his
anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet
he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it
not to heart.
23-43:4 Since
thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved
thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and
people for thy life.
23-43:12 I
have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among
you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
23-43:28 Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary,
and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
23-47:8 Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that
sayest in thine heart, I am, and none
else beside me; I shall not sit as a
widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
23-47:11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not
know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not
be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
23-50:7 For
the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not
be confounded: therefore have I set my face like
a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
23-51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and
come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
23-51:21 Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken,
but not with wine:
23-52:5 Now
therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD,
that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to
howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.
23-52:6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they
shall know in that day that I am he
that doth speak: behold, it is I.
23-53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the
strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered
with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for
the transgressors.
23-57:10 Thou
art wearied in the greatness of thy way; yet
saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.
23-59:9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth
justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
23-59:16 And
he saw that there was no man, and
wondered that there was no
intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation
unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
23-60:11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they
shall not be shut day nor night; that men
may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
23-61:7 For
your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in
their portion: therefore in their land they
shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
23-63:5 And
I looked, and there was none to help;
and I wondered that there was none to
uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation
unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
23-63:10 But
they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore
he was turned to be their enemy, and he
fought against them.
23-65:7 Your
iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which
have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their
bosom.
23-65:12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall
all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I
spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
23-65:13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants
shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye
shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
24-1:17 Thou
therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and
speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I
confound thee before them.
24-2:19 Thine
own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee:
know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and
bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of
hosts.
24-2:33 Why
trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore
hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways.
24-3:3 Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there
hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore’s forehead, thou refusedst to
be ashamed.
24-5:4 Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.
24-5:27 As
a cage is full of birds, so are their
houses full of deceit: therefore they are become
great, and waxen rich.
24-6:11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am
weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon
the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be
taken, the aged with him that is full
of days.
24-6:15 Were
they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all
ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they
shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
24-6:18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation,
what is among them.
24-6:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay
stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall
fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
24-7:14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto
the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
24-7:16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift
up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not
hear thee.
24-7:20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger
and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and
upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall
burn, and shall not be quenched.
24-7:27 Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them;
but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they
will not answer thee.
24-7:32 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that
it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the
valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
24-8:10 Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall
inherit them: for every one from the
least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even
unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
24-8:12 Were
they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all
ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore
shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they
shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
24-9:7 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will
melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?
24-9:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel;
Behold, I will feed them, even this
people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.
24-10:21 For
the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks
shall be scattered.
24-11:8 Yet
they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the
imagination of their evil heart: therefore I
will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did them not.
24-11:11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring
evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall
cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.
24-11:14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift
up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.
24-11:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD of the men of Anathoth,
that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of the LORD, that thou die
not by our hand:
24-11:22 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will
punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their
daughters shall die by famine:
24-12:8 Mine
heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it.
24-13:12 Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this word; Thus
saith the LORD God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they
shall say unto thee, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled
with wine?
24-13:24 Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that
passeth away by the wind of the wilderness.
24-13:26 Therefore will I discover thy skirts upon thy face,
that thy shame may appear.
24-14:10 Thus
saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not
refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth
not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.
24-14:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that
prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall
not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.
24-14:17 Therefore thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine
eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin
daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.
24-14:22 Are
there any among the vanities of the
Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made
all these things.
24-15:6 Thou
hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and
destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.
24-15:19 Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then
will I bring thee again, and thou
shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou
shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.
24-16:13 Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land
that ye know not, neither ye nor your
fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not
shew you favour.
24-16:14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that
it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of
Israel out of the land of Egypt;
24-16:21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to
know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know
that my name is The LORD.
24-18:11 Now
therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and
to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame
evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from
his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
24-18:13 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the
heathen, who hath heard such things: the virgin of Israel hath done a very
horrible thing.
24-18:21 Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and
pour out their blood by the force of
the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to
death; let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.
24-19:6 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that
this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom,
but The valley of slaughter.
24-20:11 But
the LORD is with me as a mighty
terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall
stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they
shall not prosper: their everlasting
confusion shall never be forgotten.
24-22:18 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the
son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister!
they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah
lord! or, Ah his glory!
24-23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against
the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them
away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your
doings, saith the LORD.
24-23:7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that
they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of
Israel out of the land of Egypt;
24-23:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the
prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water
of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all
the land.
24-23:30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every
one from his neighbour.
24-23:32 Behold,
I am against them that prophesy false
dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their
lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all,
saith the LORD.
24-23:38 But
since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus
saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have
sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD;
24-23:39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you,
and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:
24-25:8 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye
have not heard my words,
24-25:27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the
LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall,
and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
24-25:30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words,
and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from
his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give
a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against
all the inhabitants of the earth.
24-26:13 Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and
obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil
that he hath pronounced against you.
24-27:9 Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your
diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers,
which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
24-27:14 Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets
that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they
prophesy a lie unto you.
24-28:16 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast
thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou
hast taught rebellion against the LORD.
24-29:20 Hear
ye therefore the word of the LORD, all ye of the
captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:
24-29:27 Now
therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of
Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you?
24-29:28 For
therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity
is long: build ye houses, and dwell in
them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
24-29:32 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish
Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among
this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith
the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.
24-30:10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the
LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and
thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be
in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him
afraid.
24-30:16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured;
and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they
that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a
prey.
24-31:3 The
LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying,
Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore
with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
24-31:12 Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of
Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for
wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their
soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
24-31:20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I
spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore
my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the
LORD.
24-32:23 And
they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked
in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon
them:
24-32:28 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give
this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar
king of Babylon, and he shall take it:
24-32:36 And
now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of
Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the
hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the
pestilence;
24-34:12 Therefore the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from
the LORD, saying,
24-34:17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened
unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his
neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the sword,
to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into
all the kingdoms of the earth.
24-35:17 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of
Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of
Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have
spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but
they have not answered.
24-35:19 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of
Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for
ever.
24-36:6 Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou
hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in
the LORD’S house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the
ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.
24-36:14 Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of
Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in
thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come.
So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.
24-36:30 Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of
Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body
shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.
24-37:20 Therefore hear now, I pray thee, O my lord the king:
let my supplication, I pray thee, be accepted before thee; that thou cause me
not to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.
24-38:4 Therefore the princes said unto the king, We beseech
thee, let this man be put to death: for thus he weakeneth the hands of the men
of war that remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking
such words unto them: for this man seeketh not the welfare of this people, but
the hurt.
24-40:3 Now
the LORD hath brought it, and done
according as he hath said: because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have
not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is
come upon you.
24-42:15 And
now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye
remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly
set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;
24-42:22 Now
therefore know certainly that ye shall die by
the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire
to go and to sojourn.
24-44:7 Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts,
the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this
great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and
suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;
24-44:11 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of
Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all
Judah.
24-44:22 So
that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye
have committed; therefore is your land a
desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this
day.
24-44:23 Because
ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have
not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes,
nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is
happened unto you, as at this day.
24-44:26 Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that
dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the
LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in
all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.
24-48:11 Moab
hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not
been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is
not changed.
24-48:12 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that
I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty
his vessels, and break their bottles.
24-48:31 Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for
all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for
the men of Kirheres.
24-48:36 Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes,
and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kirheres: because the
riches that he hath gotten are
perished.
24-49:2 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that
I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it
shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then
shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.
24-49:20 Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath
taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the
inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely
he shall make their habitations desolate with them.
24-49:26 Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and
all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of hosts.
24-50:18 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of
Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have
punished the king of Assyria.
24-50:30 Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and
all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD.
24-50:39 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild
beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and
the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever;
neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.
24-50:45 Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he
hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the
land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out:
surely he shall make their habitation
desolate with them.
24-51:7 Babylon
hath been a golden cup in the LORD’S
hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.
24-51:36 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will plead
thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her
springs dry.
24-51:47 Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do
judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be
confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.
25-1:8 Jerusalem
hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed:
all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea,
she sigheth, and turneth backward.
25-1:9 Her
filthiness is in her skirts; she
remembereth not her last end; therefore she came
down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the
enemy hath magnified himself.
25-2:8 The
LORD hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath
stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament;
they languished together.
25-3:21 This
I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
25-3:24 The
LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
26-3:17 Son
of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them
warning from me.
26-4:7 Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of
Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered,
and thou shalt prophesy against it.
26-5:7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye
multiplied more than the nations that are
round about you, and have not
walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done
according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;
26-5:8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute
judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.
26-5:10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of
thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in
thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.
26-5:11 Wherefore,
as I live, saith the Lord GOD;
Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things,
and with all thine abominations, therefore will
I also diminish thee; neither shall
mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.
26-7:20 As
for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images
of their abominations and of their
detestable things therein: therefore have I set
it far from them.
26-8:18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not
spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud
voice, yet will I not hear them.
26-11:4 Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of
man.
26-11:7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Your slain whom ye
have laid in the midst of it, they are the
flesh, and this city is the caldron:
but I will bring you forth out of the midst of it.
26-11:16 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I
have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them
among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the
countries where they shall come.
26-11:17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even
gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have
been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
26-12:3 Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for
removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy
place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though
they be a rebellious house.
26-12:23 Tell
them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will
make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in
Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every
vision.
26-12:28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have
spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.
26-13:8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have
spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold,
I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.
26-13:13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and
there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
26-13:23 Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine
divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know
that I am the LORD.
26-14:4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols
in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face,
and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to
the multitude of his idols;
26-14:6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from
your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
26-15:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree
among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will
I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
26-16:27 Behold,
therefore I have stretched out my hand over
thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food,
and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of
the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
26-16:34 And
the contrary is in thee from other women
in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that
thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.
26-16:37 Behold,
therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with
whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them
that thou hast loved, with all them that
thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will
discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
26-16:43 Because
thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all
these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou
shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.
26-16:50 And
they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
26-17:19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely mine oath that he hath
despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon
his own head.
26-18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every
one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions;
so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
26-20:27 Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel,
and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have
blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.
26-21:4 Seeing
then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath
against all flesh from the south to the north:
26-21:6 Sigh
therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of
thy loins; and with bitterness sigh
before their eyes.
26-21:12 Cry
and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the
sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore
upon thy thigh.
26-21:14 Thou
therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together, and let the sword
be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men
that are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.
26-21:24 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have
made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are
discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance,
ye shall be taken with the hand.
26-22:4 Thou
art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in
thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near,
and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen,
and a mocking to all countries.
26-22:13 Behold,
therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy
dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the
midst of thee.
26-22:19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all
become dross, behold, therefore I will gather
you into the midst of Jerusalem.
26-22:31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon
them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I
recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.
26-23:22 Therefore, O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD;
Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is
alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side;
26-23:31 Thou
hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore
will I give her cup into thine hand.
26-23:35 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast
forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore
bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.
26-24:9 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody
city! I will even make the pile for fire great.
26-25:4 Behold,
therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the
east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their
dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
26-25:7 Behold,
therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon
thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off
from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will
destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am
the LORD.
26-25:9 Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from
the cities, from his cities which are on
his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethjeshimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim,
26-25:13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch
out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will
make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.
26-25:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will
stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims,
and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
26-26:3 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause
many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.
26-28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast
set thine heart as the heart of God;
26-28:7 Behold,
therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the
terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of
thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.
26-28:16 By
the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with
violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will
cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O
covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
26-28:18 Thou
hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the
iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring
forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring
thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
26-29:8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will
bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.
26-29:10 Behold,
therefore I am
against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt
utterly waste and desolate, from the
tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.
26-29:19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give
the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her
multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for
his army.
26-30:22 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and
will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause
the sword to fall out of his hand.
26-31:5 Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of
the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because
of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.
26-31:10 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast
lifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick
boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;
26-31:11 I
have therefore delivered him into the hand of
the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him
out for his wickedness.
26-32:3 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; I will therefore spread out
my net over thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in
my net.
26-33:7 So
thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn
them from me.
26-33:10 Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of
Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them,
how should we then live?
26-33:12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of
thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day
of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall
thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the
righteous be able to live for his righteousness
in the day that he sinneth.
26-34:7 Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
26-34:9 Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
26-34:20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I,
even I, will judge between the fat
cattle and between the lean cattle.
26-34:22 Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more
be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
26-35:6 Therefore, as I
live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall
pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.
26-35:11 Therefore, as I
live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according
to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will
make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.
26-36:3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Because they have made you desolate,
and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the
residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:
26-36:4 Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of
the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to
the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that
are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen
that are round about;
26-36:5 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire
of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against
all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of
all their heart, with despiteful
minds, to cast it out for a prey.
26-36:6 Prophesy
therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say
unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury,
because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:
26-36:7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up
mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about
you, they shall bear their shame.
26-36:14 Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither
bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord GOD.
26-36:22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; I do not this for your
sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned
among the heathen, whither ye went.
26-37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come
up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
26-38:14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus
saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt
thou not know it?
26-39:1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and
say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am
against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
26-39:23 And
the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their
iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore
hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell
they all by the sword.
26-39:25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring
again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel,
and will be jealous for my holy name;
26-41:7 And
there was an enlarging, and a winding
about still upward to the side chambers: for the winding about of the house
went still upward round about the house: therefore
the breadth of the house was still upward,
and so increased from the lowest chamber to the highest by the midst.
26-42:6 For
they were in three stories, but had not pillars as the
pillars of the courts: therefore the building was straitened more than
the lowest and the middlemost from the ground.
26-44:2 Then
said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no
man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in
by it, therefore it shall be shut.
26-44:12 Because
they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to
fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up
mine hand against them, saith the Lord GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity.
27-1:8 But
Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion
of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore
he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
27-1:19 And
the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel,
Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood
they before the king.
27-2:6 But
if ye shew the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me
gifts and rewards and great honour: therefore
shew me the dream, and the interpretation thereof.
27-2:9 But
if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye have prepared lying and
corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye
can shew me the interpretation thereof.
27-2:10 The
Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth
that can shew the king’s matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician,
or astrologer, or Chaldean.
27-2:24 Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king
had ordained to destroy the wise men of
Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the
king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.
27-3:7 Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the
sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick,
all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had
set up.
27-3:19 Then
was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should
heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
27-3:22 Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent,
and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took
up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
27-3:29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation,
and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach,
and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a
dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
27-4:6 Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they
might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream.
27-8:8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he
was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones
toward the four winds of heaven.
27-9:11 Yea,
all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not
obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured
upon us, and the oath that is written
in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
27-9:14 Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and
brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is
righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.
27-9:17 Now
therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy
servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary
that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.
27-9:23 At
the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to
shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the
vision.
27-9:25 Know
therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to
build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall
be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built
again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
27-10:8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision,
and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into
corruption, and I retained no strength.
27-11:30 For
the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore
he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy
covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them
that forsake the holy covenant.
27-11:44 But
tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to
destroy, and utterly to make away many.
28-2:2 Plead
with your mother, plead: for she is not
my wife, neither am I her husband:
let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of
her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
28-2:6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with
thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.
28-2:9 Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the
time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and
my flax given to cover her nakedness.
28-2:14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her
into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
28-4:3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that
dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the
fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
28-4:5 Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet
also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.
28-4:7 As
they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory
into shame.
28-4:13 They
sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills,
under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore
your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery.
28-4:14 I
will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when
they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they
sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that doth not understand shall fall.
28-5:5 And
the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore
shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with
them.
28-5:10 The
princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath
upon them like water.
28-5:12 Therefore will I
be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the
house of Judah as rottenness.
28-6:5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth:
and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.
28-8:6 For
from Israel was it also: the workman
made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
28-9:9 They
have deeply corrupted themselves, as
in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will
visit their sins.
28-10:14 Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and
all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of
battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children.
28-12:6 Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and
judgment, and wait on thy God continually.
28-12:14 Ephraim
provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his
reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
28-13:3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as
the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the
smoke out of the chimney.
28-13:6 According
to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was
exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
28-13:7 Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard
by the way will I observe them:
29-2:12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with
fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
30-2:14 Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and
the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver
himself:
30-3:2 You
only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore
I will punish you for all your iniquities.
30-3:11 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even round about the
land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be
spoiled.
30-4:12 Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee,
prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
30-5:11 Forasmuch
therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have
built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted
pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.
30-5:13 Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time;
for it is an evil time.
30-5:16 Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith
thus; Wailing shall be in all
streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall
call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to
wailing.
30-5:27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond
Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The
God of hosts.
30-6:7 Therefore now shall they go captive with the first
that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be
removed.
30-6:8 The
Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency
of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I
deliver up the city with all that is therein.
30-7:16 Now
therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: Thou
sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.
30-7:17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be an
harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and
thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and
Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.
32-4:2 And
he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that
thou art a gracious God, and
merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
32-4:3 Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life
from me; for it is better for me to
die than to live.
33-1:6 Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field,
and as plantings of a vineyard: and I
will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the
foundations thereof.
33-1:8 Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and
naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.
33-1:14 Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moreshethgath:
the houses of Achzib shall be a lie
to the kings of Israel.
33-2:3 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this
family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither
shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.
33-2:5 Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord
by lot in the congregation of the LORD.
33-3:6 Therefore night shall
be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto
you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and
the day shall be dark over them.
33-3:12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become
heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
33-5:3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought
forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of
Israel.
33-6:13 Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.
33-6:16 For
the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk
in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants
thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the
reproach of my people.
33-7:7 Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for
the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
35-1:4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never
go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
35-1:15 They
take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather
them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and
are glad.
35-1:16 Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn
incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
35-1:17 Shall
they therefore empty their net, and not spare
continually to slay the nations?
36-1:13 Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their
houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but
not drink the wine thereof.
36-2:9 Therefore as I
live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as
Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual
desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my
people shall possess them.
36-3:8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the
day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour
upon them mine indignation, even all
my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my
jealousy.
37-1:5 Now
therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider
your ways.
37-1:10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and
the earth is stayed from her fruit.
38-1:3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of
hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you,
saith the LORD of hosts.
38-1:16 Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to
Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts,
and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.
38-7:12 Yea,
they made their hearts as an adamant
stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts
hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore
came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
38-7:13 Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I
would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:
38-8:19 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and
the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and
cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and
peace.
38-10:2 For
the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told
false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore
they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.
39-2:9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base
before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been
partial in the law.
39-2:15 And
did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one?
That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take
heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his
youth.
39-2:16 For
the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith
the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your
spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
39-3:6 For
I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
40-3:8 Bring
forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
40-3:10 And
now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore
every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the
fire.
40-5:19 Whosoever
therefore shall break one of these least commandments,
and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:
but whosoever shall do and teach them, the
same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
40-5:23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there
rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
40-5:48 Be
ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which
is in heaven is perfect.
40-6:2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites
do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men.
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
40-6:8 Be
not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father
knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
40-6:9 After
this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which
art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
40-6:22 The
light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine
eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
40-6:23 But
if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how
great is that darkness!
40-6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your
life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye
shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
40-6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat?
or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
40-6:34 Take
therefore no thought for the morrow: for the
morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
40-7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men
should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
40-7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and
doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a
rock:
40-9:38 Pray
ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he
will send forth labourers into his harvest.
40-10:16 Behold,
I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
40-10:26 Fear
them not therefore: for there is nothing
covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
40-10:31 Fear
ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many
sparrows.
40-10:32 Whosoever
therefore shall confess me before men, him will
I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
40-12:27 And
if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore
they shall be your judges.
40-13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they
seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
40-13:18 Hear
ye therefore the parable of the sower.
40-13:40 As
therefore the tares are gathered and burned in
the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
40-13:52 Then
said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of
heaven is like unto a man that is an
householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
40-14:2 And
said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead;
and therefore mighty works do shew forth
themselves in him.
40-18:4 Whosoever
therefore shall humble himself as this little child,
the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
40-18:23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a
certain king, which would take account of his servants.
40-18:26 The
servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him,
saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
40-19:6 Wherefore
they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore
God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
40-19:27 Then
answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee;
what shall we have therefore?
40-21:40 When
the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what
will he do unto those husbandmen?
40-21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be
taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
40-22:9 Go
ye therefore into the highways, and as many as
ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
40-22:17 Tell
us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful
to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
40-22:21 They
say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God
the things that are God’s.
40-22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be
of the seven? for they all had her.
40-23:3 All
therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after
their works: for they say, and do not.
40-23:14 Woe
unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and
for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall
receive the greater damnation.
40-23:20 Whoso
therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by
it, and by all things thereon.
40-24:15 When
ye therefore shall see the abomination of
desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso
readeth, let him understand:)
40-24:42 Watch
therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord
doth come.
40-24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye
think not the Son of man cometh.
40-25:13 Watch
therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the
hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
40-25:27 Thou
oughtest therefore to have put my money to the
exchangers, and then at my coming I
should have received mine own with usury.
40-25:28 Take
therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
40-27:17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate
said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which
is called Christ?
40-27:64 Command
therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until
the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say
unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse
than the first.
40-28:19 Go
ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
41-1:38 And
he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also:
for therefore came I forth.
41-2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
41-6:14 And
king Herod heard of him; (for his
name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the
dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth
themselves in him.
41-6:19 Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and
would have killed him; but she could not:
41-8:38 Whosoever
therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words
in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be
ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
41-10:9 What
therefore God hath joined together, let not man
put asunder.
41-11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye
desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
41-12:6 Having
yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent
him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
41-12:9 What
shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he
will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.
41-12:23 In
the resurrection therefore, when they shall
rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
41-12:24 And
Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore
err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
41-12:27 He
is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
41-12:37 David
therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence
is he then his son? And the common
people heard him gladly.
41-13:35 Watch
ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of
the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the
morning:
42-1:35 And
the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and
the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore
also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of
God.
42-3:8 Bring
forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and
begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to
raise up children unto Abraham.
42-3:9 And
now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn
down, and cast into the fire.
42-4:7 If
thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be
thine.
42-4:43 And
he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
42-6:36 Be
ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is
merciful.
42-7:42 And
when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
42-8:18 Take
heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath,
to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even
that which he seemeth to have.
42-10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth
labourers into his harvest.
42-10:40 But
Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost
thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
42-11:19 And
if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore
shall they be your judges.
42-11:34 The
light of the body is the eye: therefore when
thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
42-11:35 Take
heed therefore that the light which is in thee
be not darkness.
42-11:36 If
thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of
light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
42-11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send
them prophets and apostles, and some of
them they shall slay and persecute:
42-12:3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall
be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets
shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
42-12:7 But
even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
42-12:22 And
he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto
you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body,
what ye shall put on.
42-12:40 Be
ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man
cometh at an hour when ye think not.
42-13:14 And
the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had
healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in
which men ought to work: in them therefore come
and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
42-14:20 And
another said, I have married a wife, and therefore
I cannot come.
42-15:28 And
he was angry, and would not go in: therefore
came his father out, and intreated him.
42-16:11 If
therefore ye have not been faithful in the
unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
42-16:27 Then
he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that
thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
42-19:12 He
said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a
far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
42-20:15 So
they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord
of the vineyard do unto them?
42-20:25 And
he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar
the things which be Caesar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.
42-20:29 There
were therefore seven brethren: and the first
took a wife, and died without children.
42-20:33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is
she? for seven had her to wife.
42-20:44 David
therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his
son?
42-21:8 And
he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name,
saying, I am Christ; and the time
draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
42-21:14 Settle
it therefore
in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
42-21:36 Watch
ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be
accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to
stand before the Son of man.
42-23:16 I
will therefore chastise him, and release him.
42-23:20 Pilate
therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again
to them.
42-23:22 And
he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no
cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise
him, and let him go.
43-1:31 And
I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
43-2:22 When
therefore he was risen from the dead, his
disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the
scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
43-3:29 He
that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which
standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice:
this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
43-4:1 When
therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had
heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
43-4:6 Now
Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being
wearied with his journey, sat thus on
the well: and it was about the sixth
hour.
43-4:33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any
man brought him ought to eat?
43-5:10 The
Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It
is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
43-5:16 And
therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and
sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
43-5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him,
because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his
Father, making himself equal with God.
43-6:13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the
five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.
43-6:15 When
Jesus therefore perceived that they would come
and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain
himself alone.
43-6:24 When
the people therefore saw that Jesus was not
there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum,
seeking for Jesus.
43-6:30 They
said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou
then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
43-6:43 Jesus
therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur
not among yourselves.
43-6:45 It
is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the
Father, cometh unto me.
43-6:52 The
Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying,
How can this man give us his flesh to
eat?
43-6:60 Many
therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who
can hear it?
43-6:65 And
he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man
can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
43-7:3 His
brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence,
and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.
43-7:22 Moses
therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because
it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a
man.
43-7:40 Many
of the people therefore, when they heard this
saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.
43-8:13 The
Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest
record of thyself; thy record is not true.
43-8:24 I
said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in
your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he,
ye shall die in your sins.
43-8:36 If
the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall
be free indeed.
43-8:47 He
that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore
hear them not, because ye are not of
God.
43-9:7 And
said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation,
Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed,
and came seeing.
43-9:8 The
neighbours therefore, and they which before had
seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
43-9:10 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes
opened?
43-9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of
God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is
a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
43-9:23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
43-9:41 Jesus
said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We
see; therefore your sin remaineth.
43-10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down
my life, that I might take it again.
43-10:19 There
was a division therefore again among the Jews
for these sayings.
43-10:39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he
escaped out of their hand,
43-11:3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord,
behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
43-11:6 When
he had heard therefore that he was sick, he
abode two days still in the same place where he was.
43-11:33 When
Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews
also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
43-11:38 Jesus
therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the
grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
43-11:54 Jesus
therefore walked no more openly among the Jews;
but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called
Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
43-12:9 Much
people of the Jews therefore knew that he was
there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus
also, whom he had raised from the dead.
43-12:17 The
people therefore that was with him when he
called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
43-12:19 The
Pharisees therefore said among themselves,
Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
43-12:21 The
same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida
of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
43-12:29 The
people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said,
An angel spake to him.
43-12:39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias
said again,
43-12:50 And
I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I
speak.
43-13:11 For
he knew who should betray him; therefore said
he, Ye are not all clean.
43-13:24 Simon
Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should
ask who it should be of whom he spake.
43-13:31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is
the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
43-15:19 If
ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of
the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore
the world hateth you.
43-16:15 All
things that the Father hath are mine: therefore
said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
43-16:18 They
said therefore, What is this that he saith, A
little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
43-16:22 And
ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you
again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
43-18:4 Jesus
therefore, knowing all things that should come
upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?
43-18:8 Jesus
answered, I have told you that I am he: if
therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:
43-18:25 And
Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore
unto him, Art not thou also one of
his disciples? He denied it, and
said, I am not.
43-18:31 Then
said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The
Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful
for us to put any man to death:
43-18:37 Pilate
therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then?
Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for
this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.
Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
43-18:39 But
ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the
Jews?
43-19:1 Then
Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
43-19:4 Pilate
therefore went forth again, and saith unto them,
Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
43-19:6 When
the chief priests therefore and officers saw him,
they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify
him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye
him, and crucify him: for I find no
fault in him.
43-19:8 When
Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the
more afraid;
43-19:11 Jesus
answered, Thou couldest have no power at
all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the
greater sin.
43-19:13 When
Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought
Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the
Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
43-19:16 Then
delivered he him therefore unto them to be
crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him
away.
43-19:24 They
said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend
it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be
fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture
they did cast lots. These things therefore the
soldiers did.
43-19:26 When
Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple
standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
43-19:30 When
Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he
said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
43-19:31 The
Jews therefore, because it was the preparation,
that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that
sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken,
and that they might be taken away.
43-19:38 And
after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for
fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus:
and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
43-19:42 There
laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’
preparation day; for the sepulchre
was nigh at hand.
43-20:3 Peter
therefore went forth, and that other disciple,
and came to the sepulchre.
43-20:25 The
other disciples therefore said unto him, We have
seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print
of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand
into his side, I will not believe.
43-21:6 And
he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall
find. They cast therefore, and now they were not
able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
43-21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto
Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt
his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did
cast himself into the sea.
44-1:6 When
they therefore were come together, they asked of
him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
44-2:26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was
glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
44-2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had
sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the
flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
44-2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and
having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth
this, which ye now see and hear.
44-2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly,
that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and
Christ.
44-3:19 Repent
ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins
may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence
of the Lord;
44-8:4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every
where preaching the word.
44-8:22 Repent
therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God,
if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
44-10:20 Arise
therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting
nothing: for I have sent them.
44-10:29 Therefore came I unto
you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
44-10:32 Send
therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose
surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall
speak unto thee.
44-10:33 Immediately
therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well
done that thou art come. Now therefore are we
all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
44-12:5 Peter
therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was
made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
44-13:38 Be
it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is
preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
44-13:40 Beware
therefore, lest that come upon you, which is
spoken of in the prophets;
44-14:3 Long
time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the
Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and
wonders to be done by their hands.
44-15:2 When
therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small
dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas,
and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and
elders about this question.
44-15:10 Now
therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon
the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
44-15:27 We
have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall
also tell you the same things by
mouth.
44-16:11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight
course to Samothracia, and the next day to
Neapolis;
44-16:36 And
the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to
let you go: now therefore depart, and go in
peace.
44-17:12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable
women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
44-17:17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and
with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.
44-17:20 For
thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.
44-17:23 For
as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this
inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore
ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
44-19:32 Some
therefore cried one thing, and some another: for
the assembly was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come
together.
44-20:11 When
he therefore was come up again, and had broken
bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he
departed.
44-20:28 Take
heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the
flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the
church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
44-20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of
three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
44-21:22 What
is it therefore? the multitude must needs come
together: for they will hear that thou art come.
44-21:23 Do
therefore this that we say to thee: We have four
men which have a vow on them;
44-23:15 Now
therefore ye with the council signify to the
chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as though ye would
enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near,
are ready to kill him.
44-25:5 Let
them therefore, said he, which among you are
able, go down with me, and accuse
this man, if there be any wickedness in him.
44-25:17 Therefore, when they were come hither, without any
delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be
brought forth.
44-26:22 Having
therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto
this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than
those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
44-28:20 For
this cause therefore have I called for you, to
see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel
I am bound with this chain.
44-28:28 Be
it known therefore unto you, that the salvation
of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that
they will hear it.
45-2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou
art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself;
for thou that judgest doest the same things.
45-2:21 Thou
therefore which teachest another, teachest thou
not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
45-2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness
of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
45-3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh
be justified in his sight: for by the law is
the knowledge of sin.
45-3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith
without the deeds of the law.
45-4:16 Therefore it is of
faith, that it might be by grace; to
the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of
the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father
of us all,
45-4:22 And
therefore it was imputed to him for
righteousness.
45-5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with
God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
45-5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to
condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
45-6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into
death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
45-6:12 Let
not sin therefore reign in your mortal body,
that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
45-8:1 There is therefore
now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the
flesh, but after the Spirit.
45-8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh,
to live after the flesh.
45-9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he
hardeneth.
45-11:22 Behold
therefore the goodness and severity of God: on
them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt
be cut off.
45-12:1 I
beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies
of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto
God, which is your reasonable
service.
45-12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he
thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his
head.
45-13:2 Whosoever
therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the
ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
45-13:7 Render
therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom
tribute is due; custom to whom
custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
45-13:10 Love
worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
45-13:12 The
night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore
cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
45-14:8 For
whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the
Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are
the Lord’s.
45-14:13 Let
us not therefore judge one another any more: but
judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
45-14:19 Let
us therefore follow after the things which make
for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
45-15:17 I
have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus
Christ in those things which pertain to God.
45-15:28 When
therefore I have performed this, and have sealed
to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.
45-16:19 For
your obedience is come abroad unto all men.
I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet
I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
46-3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are
yours;
46-4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the
Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will
make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise
of God.
46-5:7 Purge
out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a
new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for
us:
46-5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven,
neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
46-5:13 But
them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put
away from among yourselves that wicked person.
46-6:7 Now
therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because
ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not
rather suffer yourselves to be
defrauded?
46-6:20 For
ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify
God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
46-7:8 I
say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is
good for them if they abide even as I.
46-7:26 I
suppose therefore that this is good for the
present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
46-8:4 As
concerning therefore the eating of those things
that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
46-9:26 I
therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight
I, not as one that beateth the air:
46-10:31 Whether
therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do,
do all to the glory of God.
46-11:20 When
ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord’s supper.
46-12:15 If
the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
46-12:16 And
if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
46-14:11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I
shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.
46-14:23 If
therefore the whole church be come together into
one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye
are mad?
46-15:11 Therefore whether it
were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
46-15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast,
unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that
your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
46-16:11 Let
no man therefore despise him: but conduct him
forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.
46-16:18 For
they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore
acknowledge ye them that are such.
47-1:17 When
I therefore was thus minded, did I use
lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh,
that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?
47-4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have
received mercy, we faint not;
47-4:13 We
having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
47-5:6 Therefore we are
always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are
absent from the Lord:
47-5:11 Knowing
therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade
men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in
your consciences.
47-5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
47-7:1 Having
therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us
cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God.
47-7:13 Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and
exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was
refreshed by you all.
47-7:16 I
rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you
in all things.
47-8:7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.
47-8:11 Now
therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a
readiness to will, so there may be a
performance also out of that which ye have.
47-9:5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the
brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up before hand your
bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
47-11:15 Therefore it is no
great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of
righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
47-12:9 And
he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made
perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will
I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
47-12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches,
in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am
weak, then am I strong.
47-13:10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest
being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord
hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.
48-2:17 But
if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found
sinners, is therefore
Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
48-3:5 He
therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit,
and worketh miracles among you, doeth he
it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
48-3:7 Know
ye therefore that they which are of faith, the
same are the children of Abraham.
48-4:16 Am
I therefore become your enemy, because I tell
you the truth?
48-5:1 Stand
fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ
hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
48-6:10 As
we have therefore opportunity, let us do good
unto all men, especially unto them
who are of the household of faith.
49-2:19 Now
therefore ye are no more strangers and
foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
49-4:1 I
therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you
that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
49-4:17 This
I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that
ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
49-5:1 Be
ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
49-5:7 Be
not ye therefore partakers with them.
49-5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
49-6:14 Stand
therefore, having your loins girt about with
truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
50-2:1 If
there be therefore
any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the
Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
50-2:23 Him
therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I
shall see how it will go with me.
50-2:28 I
sent him therefore the more carefully, that,
when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
50-2:29 Receive
him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and
hold such in reputation:
50-3:15 Let
us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus
minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this
unto you.
50-4:1 Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for,
my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
51-2:6 As
ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the
Lord, so walk ye in him:
51-2:16 Let
no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink,
or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
51-3:5 Mortify
therefore your members which are upon the earth;
fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and
covetousness, which is idolatry:
51-3:12 Put
on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and
beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness,
longsuffering;
52-3:7 Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all
our affliction and distress by your faith:
52-4:8 He
therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but
God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
52-5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
53-2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the
traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
54-2:1 I
exhort therefore, that, first of all,
supplications, prayers, intercessions, and
giving of thanks, be made for all men;
54-2:8 I
will therefore that men pray every where,
lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
54-4:10 For
therefore we both labour and suffer reproach,
because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of
those that believe.
54-5:14 I
will therefore that the younger women marry,
bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak
reproachfully.
55-1:8 Be
not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of
our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of
the gospel according to the power of God;
55-2:1 Thou
therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that
is in Christ Jesus.
55-2:3 Thou
therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of
Jesus Christ.
55-2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes,
that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal
glory.
55-2:21 If
a man therefore purge himself from these, he
shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
55-4:1 I
charge thee therefore
before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead
at his appearing and his kingdom;
57-1:12 Whom
I have sent again: thou therefore receive him,
that is, mine own bowels:
57-1:15 For
perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that
thou shouldest receive him for ever;
57-1:17 If
thou count me therefore a partner, receive him
as myself.
58-1:9 Thou
hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore
God, even thy God, hath anointed thee
with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
58-2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to
the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
58-4:1 Let
us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you
should seem to come short of it.
58-4:6 Seeing
therefore it remaineth that some must enter
therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of
unbelief:
58-4:9 There
remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
58-4:11 Let
us labour therefore to enter into that rest,
lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
58-4:16 Let
us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
58-6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of
Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of
repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
58-7:11 If
therefore perfection were by the Levitical
priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should
rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of
Aaron?
58-9:23 It was therefore
necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with
these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
58-10:19 Having
therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the
holiest by the blood of Jesus,
58-10:35 Cast
not away therefore your confidence, which hath
great recompence of reward.
58-11:12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as
dead, so many as the stars of the sky
in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
58-13:13 Let
us go forth therefore unto him without the camp,
bearing his reproach.
58-13:15 By
him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of
praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
59-4:4 Ye
adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is
enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a
friend of the world is the enemy of God.
59-4:7 Submit
yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil,
and he will flee from you.
59-4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
59-5:7 Be
patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of
the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth,
and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
60-2:7 Unto
you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which
the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
60-4:7 But
the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore
sober, and watch unto prayer.
60-5:6 Humble
yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of
God, that he may exalt you in due time:
61-3:17 Ye
therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye
also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own
stedfastness.
62-2:24 Let
that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard
from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain
in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
62-3:1 Behold,
what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called
the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us
not, because it knew him not.
62-4:5 They
are of the world: therefore speak they of the
world, and the world heareth them.
64-1:8 We
therefore ought to receive such, that we might
be fellowhelpers to the truth.
65-1:5 I
will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye
once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of
Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
66-2:5 Remember
therefore from whence thou art fallen, and
repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will
remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
66-3:3 Remember
therefore how thou hast received and heard, and
hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt
not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I
will come upon thee.
66-3:19 As many
as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore,
and repent.
66-7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve
him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell
among them.
66-12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye
heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and
of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he
knoweth that he hath but a short time.
66-18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death,
and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong
is the Lord God who judgeth her.
