01-GENESIS
01-2:17 But
of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in
the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely
die.
01-3:4 And
the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely
die:
01-9:5 And
surely your blood of your lives will I require;
at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the
hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.
01-18:18 Seeing
that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty
nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
01-20:7 Now
therefore restore the man his wife;
for he is a prophet, and he shall
pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely
die, thou, and all that are thine.
01-20:11 And
Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear
of God is not in this place; and they
will slay me for my wife’s sake.
01-26:11 And
Abimelech charged all his people,
saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely
be put to death.
01-28:16 And
Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely
the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.
01-28:22 And
this stone, which I have set for a
pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
01-29:14 And
Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode
with him the space of a month.
01-29:32 And
Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now
therefore my husband will love me.
01-30:16 And
Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and
said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have
hired thee with my son’s mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.
01-31:42 Except
the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with
me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty.
God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.
01-32:12 And
thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and
make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
01-42:16 Send
one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison,
that your words may be proved, whether there
be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.
01-43:10 For
except we had lingered, surely now we had
returned this second time.
01-44:28 And
the one went out from me, and I said, Surely he
is torn in pieces; and I saw him not since:
01-46:4 I
will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely
bring thee up again: and Joseph shall
put his hand upon thine eyes.
01-50:24 And
Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely
visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to
Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
01-50:25 And
Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from
hence.
02-2:14 And
he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me,
as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.
02-3:7 And
the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction
of my people which are in Egypt, and
have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
02-3:16 Go,
and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of
your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me,
saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:
02-4:25 Then
Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.
02-11:1 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go
hence: when he shall let you go, he
shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.
02-13:19 And
Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children
of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you;
and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.
02-18:18 Thou
wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this
people that is with thee: for this
thing is too heavy for thee; thou art
not able to perform it thyself alone.
02-19:12 And
thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to
yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the
border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely
put to death:
02-19:13 There
shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely
be stoned, or shot through; whether it be
beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall
come up to the mount.
02-21:12 He
that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely
put to death.
02-21:15 And
he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely
put to death.
02-21:16 And
he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he
shall surely be put to death.
02-21:17 And
he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely
be put to death.
02-21:20 And
if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand;
he shall be surely punished.
02-21:22 If
men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he
shall be surely punished, according as the
woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
02-21:28 If
an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the
owner of the ox shall be quit.
02-21:36 Or
if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath
not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox;
and the dead shall be his own.
02-22:6 If
fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the
standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith;
he that kindled the fire shall surely make
restitution.
02-22:14 And
if a man borrow ought of his
neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely
make it good.
02-22:16 And
if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
02-22:19 Whosoever
lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
02-22:23 If
thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;
02-23:4 If
thou meet thine enemy’s ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
02-23:5 If
thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest
forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with
him.
02-23:33 They
shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou
serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto
thee.
02-31:14 Ye
shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is
holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely
be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work
therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
02-31:15 Six
days may work be done; but in the seventh is
the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely
be put to death.
02-40:15 And
thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may
minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their
generations.
03-20:2 Again, thou shalt say to the
children of Israel, Whosoever he be of
the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth
any of his seed unto Molech; he shall
surely be put to death: the people of the land
shall stone him with stones.
03-20:9 For
every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his
mother; his blood shall be upon him.
03-20:10 And
the man that committeth adultery with another
man’s wife, even he that committeth
adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
03-20:11 And
the man that lieth with his father’s wife hath uncovered his father’s
nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to
death; their blood shall be upon
them.
03-20:12 And
if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion;
their blood shall be upon them.
03-20:13 If
a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have
committed an abomination: they shall surely be
put to death; their blood shall be upon
them.
03-20:15 And
if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be
put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.
03-20:16 And
if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the
woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put
to death; their blood shall be upon
them.
03-20:27 A
man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with
stones: their blood shall be upon
them.
03-24:16 And
he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely
be put to death, and all the
congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is
born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.
03-24:17 And
he that killeth any man shall surely be put to
death.
03-27:29 None
devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.
04-13:27 And they told him, and said, We came
unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely
it floweth with milk and honey; and this is
the fruit of it.
04-14:23 Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto
their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:
04-14:35 I
the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all
this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness
they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
04-15:35 And
the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely
put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the
camp.
04-18:15 Every
thing that openeth the matrix in all flesh, which they bring unto the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be
thine: nevertheless the firstborn of man shalt thou surely
redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem.
04-22:33 And
the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned
from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and
saved her alive.
04-23:23 Surely there is no
enchantment against Jacob, neither is
there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be
said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
04-26:65 For
the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die
in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of
Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
04-27:7 The
daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely
give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and
thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
04-32:11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from
twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham,
unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
04-35:16 And
if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
04-35:17 And
if he smite him with throwing a stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
04-35:18 Or
if he smite him with an hand weapon of
wood, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is
a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put
to death.
04-35:21 Or
in enmity smite him with his hand, that he die: he that smote him shall surely
be put to death; for he is a murderer: the revenger of blood
shall slay the murderer, when he meeteth him.
04-35:31 Moreover
ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.
05-1:35 Surely
there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land,
which I sware to give unto your fathers,
05-4:6 Keep
therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in
the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
05-8:19 And
it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other
gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye
shall surely perish.
05-13:9 But
thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be
first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
05-13:15 Thou
shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city
with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with
the edge of the sword.
05-15:8 But
thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely
lend him sufficient for his need, in that
which he wanteth.
05-15:10 Thou
shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not
be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy
God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand
unto.
05-16:15 Seven
days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which
the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine
increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.
05-22:4 Thou
shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide
thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to
lift them up again.
05-23:21 When
thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for
the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee;
and it would be sin in thee.
05-30:18 I
denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely
perish, and that ye shall not prolong
your days upon the land, whither thou
passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
05-31:18 And
I will surely hide my face in that day for all
the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other
gods.
06-14:9 And Moses sware on that day, saying,
Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden
shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast
wholly followed the LORD my God.
07-3:24 When he was gone out, his servants
came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet in his summer chamber.

thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into
the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
07-6:16 And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the
Midianites as one man.
07-11:31 Then it shall be, that whatsoever
cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the
children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD’S,
and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.
07-13:22 And Manoah said unto his wife, We
shall surely die, because we have seen God.

two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.
07-20:39 And when the men of Israel retired in
the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill
of the men of Israel about thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, as in the first battle.
07-21:5 And the children of Israel said, Who
is there among all the tribes of
Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made
a great oath concerning him that came not up to the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He
shall surely be put to death.
08-1:10 And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people.
09-9:6 And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he
saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither;
peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go.
09-14:39 For,
as the LORD liveth, which saveth
Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely
die. But there was not a man among
all the people that answered him.
09-14:44 And
Saul answered, God do so and more also: for thou shalt surely
die, Jonathan.
09-15:32 Then
said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag
came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely
the bitterness of death is past.

it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord’s anointed is before him.
09-17:25 And
the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king
will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his
father’s house free in Israel.
09-20:26 Nevertheless
Saul spake not any thing that day: for he thought, Something hath befallen him,
he is not clean; surely he is not
clean.

thou, and all thy father’s house.

persons of thy father’s house.
09-24:20 And
now, behold, I know well that thou shalt surely
be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand.
09-25:21 Now
David had said, Surely in vain have I kept all
that this fellow hath in the
wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained unto him: and he hath requited me evil for good.
09-25:34 For
in very deed, as the LORD God of
Israel liveth, which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst
hasted and come to meet me, surely there had not
been left unto Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.
09-28:2 And
David said to Achish, Surely thou shalt know
what thy servant can do. And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee
keeper of mine head for ever.
09-29:6 Then
Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou hast been
upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not
found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless
the lords favour thee not.
09-30:8 And
David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I
overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them,
and without fail recover all.

then in the morning the people had gone up every one from following his
brother.

father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

us into the field, and we were upon them even unto the entering of the gate.
10-12:5 And David’s anger was greatly
kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely
die:
10-12:14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou
hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child
also that is born unto thee shall surely die.
10-15:21 And Ittai answered the king, and
said, As the LORD liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be,
whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be.
10-18:2 And David sent forth a third part of
the people under the hand of Joab, and a third part under the hand of Abishai
the son of Zeruiah, Joab’s brother, and a third part under the hand of Ittai
the Gittite. And the king said unto the people, I will surely
go forth with you myself also.
10-20:18 Then she spake, saying, They were
wont to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely
ask counsel at Abel: and so they
ended the matter.
10-24:24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay;
but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto
the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the
threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
11-2:37 For it shall be, that on the day thou goest out, and
passest over the brook Kidron, thou shalt know for certain that thou shalt surely die: thy blood shall be upon thine own head.
11-2:42 And
the king sent and called for Shimei, and said unto him, Did I not make thee to
swear by the LORD, and protested unto thee, saying, Know for a certain, on the
day thou goest out, and walkest abroad any whither, that thou shalt surely die? and thou saidst unto me, The word that I have heard is good.
11-8:13 I
have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a
settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
11-11:2 Of
the nations concerning which the LORD
said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall
they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their
gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.
11-11:11 Wherefore
the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast
not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to
thy servant.
11-13:32 For
the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar in Bethel,
and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely
come to pass.

Elijah said, As the LORD of hosts
liveth, before whom I stand, I will surely shew
myself unto him to day.
11-20:23 And
the servants of the king of Syria said unto him, Their gods are gods of the hills; therefore they
were stronger than we; but let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.
11-20:25 And
number thee an army, like the army that thou hast lost, horse for horse, and
chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, and surely
we shall be stronger than they. And he hearkened unto their voice, and did so.
11-22:32 And
it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they
said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him:
and Jehoshaphat cried out.
12-1:4 Now therefore thus saith the LORD,
Thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.
12-1:6 And
they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn
again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that
thou sendest to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt
not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
12-1:16 And
he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers
to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is
it not because there is no God in
Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed
on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
12-3:14 And
Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts
liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not
that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look
toward thee, nor see thee.
12-3:23 And
they said, This is blood: the kings
are surely slain, and they have smitten one
another: now therefore, Moab, to the spoil.
12-5:11 But
Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name
of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
12-8:10 And
Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit
the LORD hath shewed me that he shall surely
die.
12-8:14 So
he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said
Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that
thou shouldest surely recover.
12-9:26 Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and
the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat,
saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast
him into the plat of ground, according
to the word of the LORD.
12-18:30 Neither
let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be
delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
12-23:22 Surely there was not holden such a passover from the
days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of
Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;
12-24:3 Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of
Manasseh, according to all that he did;
17-6:13 And Haman told Zeresh his wife and
all his friends every thing that had
befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom
thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.
18-8:6 If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he
would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
18-13:3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to
reason with God.
18-13:10 He
will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly
accept persons.
18-14:18 And
surely the mountain falling cometh to nought,
and the rock is removed out of his place.
18-18:21 Surely such are the
dwellings of the wicked, and this is the
place of him that knoweth not God.
18-20:20 Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he
shall not save of that which he desired.
18-28:1 Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for
gold where they fine it.
18-31:36 Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to me.
18-33:8 Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have
heard the voice of thy words, saying,
18-34:12 Yea,
surely God will not do wickedly, neither will
the Almighty pervert judgment.
18-34:31 Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:
18-35:13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty
regard it.
18-37:20 Shall
it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely
he shall be swallowed up.
18-40:20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all
the beasts of the field play.
19-23:6 Surely
goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in
the house of the LORD for ever.
19-32:6 For
this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be
found: surely in the floods of great waters they
shall not come nigh unto him.
19-39:6 Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather
them.
19-39:11 When
thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to
consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.
19-62:9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of
high degree are a lie: to be laid in
the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.
19-73:18 Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou
castedst them down into destruction.
19-76:10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the
remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
19-77:11 I
will remember the works of the LORD: surely I
will remember thy wonders of old.
19-85:9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.
19-91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the
fowler, and from the noisome
pestilence.
19-112:6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous
shall be in everlasting remembrance.
19-131:2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child
that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even
as a weaned child.
19-132:3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my
house, nor go up into my bed;
19-139:11 If
I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even
the night shall be light about me.
19-139:19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from
me therefore, ye bloody men.
19-140:13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name:
the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
20-1:17 Surely
in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
20-3:34 Surely
he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
20-10:9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be
known.
20-22:16 He that oppresseth the poor to
increase his riches, and he that
giveth to the rich, shall surely come to
want.
20-23:18 For surely
there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
20-30:2 Surely
I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding
of a man.
20-30:33 Surely
the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose
bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.
21-4:16 There
is no end of all the people, even of
all that have been before them: they also that come after shall not rejoice in
him. Surely this also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
21-7:7 Surely
oppression maketh a wise man mad; and a gift destroyeth the heart.
21-8:12 Though a sinner do evil an hundred
times, and his days be prolonged, yet
surely I know that it shall be well with them
that fear God, which fear before him:
21-10:11 Surely
the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better.
23-7:9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not
believe, surely ye shall not be established.
23-14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying,
Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to
pass; and as I have purposed, so shall
it stand:
23-16:7 Therefore
shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of
Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.
23-19:11 Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become
brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the
son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
23-22:14 And
it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely
this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of
hosts.
23-22:17 Behold,
the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee.
23-22:18 He
will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there
shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord’s house.
23-29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be
esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He
made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no
understanding?
23-36:15 Neither
let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered
into the hand of the king of Assyria.
23-40:7 The
grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon
it: surely the people is grass.
23-45:14 Thus
saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the
Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine:
they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall
down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no
God.
23-45:24 Surely, shall one
say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come;
and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
23-49:4 Then
I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in
vain: yet surely
my judgment is with the LORD, and my
work with my God.
23-49:18 Lift
up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely
clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.
23-53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our
sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
23-54:15 Behold,
they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather
together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
23-60:9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of
Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with
them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because
he hath glorified thee.
23-62:8 The
LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the
sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast
laboured:
23-63:8 For
he said, Surely they are my people, children that will
not lie: so he was their Saviour.
24-2:35 Yet thou sayest, Because I am
innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me.
Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned.
24-3:20 Surely as a wife
treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with
me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.
24-4:10 Then
said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly
deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the
sword reacheth unto the soul.
24-5:2 And
though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they
swear falsely.
24-5:4 Therefore
I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.
24-8:13 I
will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine,
nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
24-16:19 O
LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the
Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
24-22:6 For
thus saith the LORD unto the king’s house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the
head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.
24-22:22 The
wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for
all thy wickedness.
24-24:8 And
as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah
the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain
in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
24-26:8 Now
it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the LORD
had commanded him to speak unto all
the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him,
saying, Thou shalt surely die.
24-26:15 But
know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this
city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me
unto you to speak all these words in your ears.
24-31:18 I
have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was
chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to
the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.
24-31:19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after
that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh:
I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my
youth.
24-31:20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I
spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are
troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon
him, saith the LORD.
24-32:4 And
Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but
shall surely be delivered into the hand of the
king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall
behold his eyes;
24-34:3 And
thou shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely
be taken, and delivered into his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes of
the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with thee mouth to mouth, and thou
shalt go to Babylon.
24-36:16 Now
it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one
and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely
tell the king of all these words.
24-37:9 Thus
saith the LORD; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart.
24-38:3 Thus
saith the LORD, This city shall surely be given
into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army, which shall take it.
24-38:15 Then
Jeremiah said unto Zedekiah, If I declare it
unto thee, wilt thou not surely put me to
death? and if I give thee counsel, wilt thou not hearken unto me?
24-39:18 For
I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not
fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou
hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD.
24-44:25 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both
spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn
incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye
will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
24-44:29 And
this shall be a sign unto you, saith
the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words
shall surely stand against you for evil:
24-46:18 As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor is
among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.
24-49:12 For
thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished,
but thou shalt surely drink of it.
24-49:20 Therefore
hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his
purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with
them.
24-50:45 Therefore
hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his
purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them.
24-51:14 The
LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying,
Surely I will fill thee with men, as with
caterpillars; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.
24-51:56 Because
the spoiler is come upon her, even upon
Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their bows is broken: for
the LORD God of recompenses shall surely
requite.
25-3:3 Surely
against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.
26-3:6 Not to many people of a strange
speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have
hearkened unto thee.
26-3:18 When
I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die;
and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his
wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at
thine hand.
26-3:21 Nevertheless
if thou warn the righteous man, that
the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely
live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
26-5:11 Wherefore,
as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with
all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I
also diminish thee; neither shall
mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.
26-17:16 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place where the king dwelleth that
made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, even with him in the midst of Babylon he
shall die.
26-17:19 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant
that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.
26-18:9 Hath
walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.
26-18:13 Hath
given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall
not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
26-18:17 That hath taken off his hand from the
poor, that hath not received usury
nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall
not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely
live.
26-18:19 Yet
say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son
hath done that which is lawful and right, and
hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.
26-18:21 But
if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all
my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
26-18:28 Because
he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath
committed, he shall surely live, he shall not
die.
26-20:33 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out
arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:
26-31:11 I
have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he
shall surely deal with him: I have driven him
out for his wickedness.
26-33:8 When
I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou
shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn
the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall
die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
26-33:13 When
I shall say to the righteous, that he
shall surely live; if he trust to his own
righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be
remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
26-33:14 Again,
when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely
die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
26-33:15 If the wicked restore the pledge, give
again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing
iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not
die.
26-33:16 None
of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done
that which is lawful and right; he shall surely
live.
26-33:27 Say
thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the
sword, and him that is in the open
field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall
die of the pestilence.
26-34:8 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock
became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my
flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
26-36:5 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my
jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all
Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to
cast it out for a prey.
26-36:7 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely
the heathen that are about you, they
shall bear their shame.
26-38:19 For
in my jealousy and in the fire of my
wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there
shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
28-5:9 Ephraim shall be desolate in the
day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
28-12:11 Is
there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in
Gilgal; yea, their altars are as
heaps in the furrows of the fields.
30-3:7 Surely
the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the
prophets.
30-5:5 But seek not Bethel, nor enter into
Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely
go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.
30-7:11 For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall
die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led
away captive out of their own land.
30-7:17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy
wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall
by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a
polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into
captivity forth of his land.
30-8:7 The LORD hath sworn by the
excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget
any of their works.
33-2:12 I will surely
assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely
gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah,
as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason
of the multitude of men.
35-2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and
not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely
come, it will not tarry.
36-2:9 Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of
Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding
of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people
shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.
36-3:7 I said, Surely
thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not
be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings.
40-26:73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to
Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.
41-14:70 And he denied it again. And a little
after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely
thou art one of them: for thou art a
Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.
42-1:1 Forasmuch as many have taken in
hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
42-4:23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself:
whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
43-17:8 For I have given unto them the words
which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I
came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
58-6:14 Saying, Surely
blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
66-22:20 He which
testifieth these things saith, Surely I come
quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
