and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw
them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the
ground,

he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before
them; and he stood by them under the tree, and
they did eat.
01-18:22 And
the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
01-19:27 And
Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:
01-23:3 And
Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake
unto the sons of Heth, saying,
01-23:7 And
Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the
people of the land, even to the children of Heth.
01-24:30 And
it came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister’s hands,
and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man
unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood
by the camels at the well.
01-28:13 And,
behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am
the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou
liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
01-37:7 For,
behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also
stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
01-41:1 And
it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and,
behold, he stood by the river.
01-41:3 And,
behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and
leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon
the brink of the river.
01-41:17 And
Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood
upon the bank of the river:
01-41:46 And
Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before
Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and
went throughout all the land of Egypt.
01-43:15 And
the men took that present, and they took double money in their hand, and
Benjamin; and rose up, and went down to Egypt, and stood
before Joseph.
01-45:1 Then
Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood
by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known
unto his brethren.
02-2:4 And
his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be
done to him.
02-2:17 And
the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood
up and helped them, and watered their flock.
02-5:20 And
they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way,
as they came forth from Pharaoh:
02-9:10 And
they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before
Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking
forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.
02-14:19 And
the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind
them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:
02-15:8 And
with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were
congealed in the heart of the sea.
02-18:13 And
it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the
people stood by Moses from the morning unto the
evening.
02-19:17 And
Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
02-20:18 And
all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the
trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed,
and stood afar off.
02-20:21 And
the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near
unto the thick darkness where God was.
02-32:26 Then
Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said,
Who is on the LORD’S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi
gathered themselves together unto him.
02-33:8 And
it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people
rose up, and stood every man at his tent door,
and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.
02-33:9 And
it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar
descended, and stood at the door of the
tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.
02-34:5 And
the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with
him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
03-9:5 And they brought that which Moses
commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation
drew near and stood before the LORD.
04-11:32 And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the
next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten
homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.
04-12:5 And
the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood
in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came
forth.
04-16:18 And
they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon,
and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation with Moses and Aaron.
04-16:27 So
they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side:
and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the
door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little
children.
04-16:48 And
he stood between the dead and the living; and
the plague was stayed.
04-22:22 And
God’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he
was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
04-22:24 But
the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the
vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.
04-22:26 And
the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in
a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the
left.
04-23:6 And
he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his
burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
04-23:17 And
when he came to him, behold, he stood by his
burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What
hath the LORD spoken?
04-27:2 And
they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the
priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
05-4:11 And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with
fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
05-5:5 (I stood
between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye
were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,
05-31:15 And the LORD appeared in the
tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.
06-3:16 That the waters which came down from
above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from
the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea
of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people
passed over right against Jericho.
06-3:17 And
the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and
all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed
clean over Jordan.
06-4:3 And
command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the
place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve
stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging
place, where ye shall lodge this night.
06-4:9 And
Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet
of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood:
and they are there unto this day.
06-4:10 For
the priests which bare the ark stood in the
midst of Jordan, until every thing was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua
to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the
people hasted and passed over.
06-5:13 And
it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and
looked, and, behold, there stood a man over
against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and
said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
06-8:33 And
all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the
priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well
the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount
Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the
LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.
06-10:13 And
the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until
the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in
the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in
the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
06-11:13 But
as for the cities that stood still in their
strength, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Joshua burn.
06-20:9 These
were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that
sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might flee
thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation.
06-21:44 And
the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their
fathers: and there stood not a man of all their
enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
07-3:19 But he himself turned again from the
quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O
king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood
by him went out from him.
07-6:31 And
Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will
ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put
to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself,
because one hath cast down his altar.
07-7:21 And
they stood every man in his place round about the
camp: and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.
07-9:7 And

in the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto
them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.
07-9:35 And
Gaal the son of Ebed went out, and stood in the
entering of the gate of the city: and Abimelech rose up, and the people that
were with him, from lying in wait.

them.

children of Dan, stood by the entering of the
gate.
07-18:17 And
the five men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in thither, and
took the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image:
and the priest stood in the entering of the gate
with the six hundred men that were appointed with weapons of war.
07-20:28 And
Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood
before it in those days,) saying, Shall I yet again go out to battle against
the children of Benjamin my brother, or shall I cease? And the LORD said, Go
up; for to morrow I will deliver them into thine hand.
09-1:26 And she said, Oh my lord, as thy
soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood
by thee here, praying unto the LORD.
09-3:10 And
the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other
times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.

not, neither did she regard it.

and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a
Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come
down to me.
09-17:26 And
David spake to the men that stood by him, saying,
What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the
reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should
defy the armies of the living God?
09-17:51 Therefore
David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and
took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut
off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead,
they fled.
09-22:7 Then
Saul said unto his servants that stood about
him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you
fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of
hundreds;
09-22:17 And
the king said unto the footmen that stood about
him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with
David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the
servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of
the LORD.
09-26:13 Then
David went over to the other side, and stood on
the top of an hill afar off; a great space being between them:
10-1:10 So I stood
upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he
was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that
was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.
10-2:23 Howbeit
he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear

down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as
came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood
still.

thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
10-18:4 And
the king said unto them, What seemeth you best I will do. And the king stood by the gate side, and all the people came out by

Israel with a loud voice, saying,
11-10:19 The
throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were

with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him:

because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
14-28:12 Then
certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan,
Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa
the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that
came from the war,
14-29:26 And
the Levites stood with the instruments of David,
and the priests with the trumpets.
14-30:16 And
they stood in their place after their manner,
according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood,
which they received of the hand of the Levites.
14-34:31 And
the king stood in his place, and made a covenant
before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his
testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to
perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.
14-35:10 So
the service was prepared, and the priests stood
in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king’s
commandment.
15-2:63 And the Tirshatha said unto them,
that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.
15-3:2 Then stood
up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son
of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to
offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of
God.
15-3:9 Then stood
Jeshua with his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah,
together, to set forward the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad,
with their sons and their brethren the Levites.
15-10:10 And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed,
and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.
16-7:65 And the Tirshatha said unto them,
that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
16-8:4 And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for
the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah,
and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right
hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and
Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
16-8:5 And Ezra opened the book in the
sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened
it, all the people stood up:
16-8:7 Also Jeshua, and Bani, and
Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah,
Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the
law: and the people stood in their place.
16-9:2 And the seed of Israel separated
themselves from all strangers, and stood and
confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.
16-9:3 And they stood
up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one
fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped
the LORD their God.
16-9:4 Then stood
up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah,
Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto the LORD
their God.
16-12:39 And from above the gate of Ephraim,
and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and
the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood
still in the prison gate.
16-12:40 So stood
the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the
half of the rulers with me:
17-5:1 Now it came to pass on the third
day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood
in the inner court of the king’s house, over against the king’s house: and the
king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the
house.
17-5:9 Then went Haman forth that day
joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king’s gate,
that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was
full of indignation against Mordecai.
17-7:7 And the king arising from the
banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the
queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.
17-8:4 Then the king held out the golden
sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood
before the king,
17-9:16 But the other Jews that were in the
king’s provinces gathered themselves together, and stood
for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes
seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,
18-4:15 Then a spirit passed before my face;
the hair of my flesh stood up:
18-4:16 It stood
still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes,
there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying,
18-29:8 The young men saw me, and hid
themselves: and the aged arose, and stood up.
18-30:28 I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation.
18-32:16 When I had waited, (for they spake
not, but stood still, and answered no more;)
19-33:9 For he spake, and it was done; he
commanded, and it stood fast.
19-104:6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with
a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.
19-106:23 Therefore he said that he would
destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before
him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
19-106:30 Then stood
up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.
23-6:2 Above it stood
the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with
twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
23-36:2 And the king of Assyria sent
Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army. And
he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the
highway of the fuller’s field.
23-36:13 Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’
language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.
24-15:1 Then said the LORD unto me, Though
Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind
could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go
forth.
24-18:20 Shall
evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember
that I stood before thee to speak good for them,
and to turn away thy wrath from them.
24-19:14 Then
came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD’S house; and said to
all the people,
24-23:18 For
who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and
hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?
24-23:22 But
if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused
my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil
way, and from the evil of their doings.
24-28:5 Then
the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the
priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood
in the house of the LORD,
24-36:21 So
the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the
scribe’s chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears
of all the princes which stood beside the king.
24-44:15 Then
all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and
all the women that stood by, a great multitude,
even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered
Jeremiah, saying,
24-46:15 Why
are thy valiant men swept away? they stood not,
because the LORD did drive them.
24-48:45 They
that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon
because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame
from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of
the head of the tumultuous ones.
25-2:4 He hath bent his bow like an enemy:
he stood with his right hand as an adversary,
and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of
Zion: he poured out his fury like fire.
26-1:21 When those went, these went; and
when those stood, these stood;
and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over
against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
26-1:24 And
when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great
waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an
host: when they stood, they let down their
wings.
26-1:25 And
there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
26-3:23 Then
I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of
Chebar: and I fell on my face.
26-8:11 And
there stood before them seventy men of the
ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his
censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.
26-9:2 And,
behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the
north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was
clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
26-10:3 Now
the cherubims stood on the right side of the
house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
26-10:4 Then
the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood
over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and
the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’S glory.
26-10:6 And
it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying,
Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in,
and stood beside the wheels.
26-10:17 When
they stood, these stood;
and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of
the living creature was in them.
26-10:18 Then
the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
26-10:19 And
the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight:
when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’S
house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
26-11:23 And
the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of
the city.
26-21:21 For
the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the
way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright,
he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.
26-37:10 So
I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived,
and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great
army.
26-40:3 And
he brought me thither, and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like
the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed;
and he stood in the gate.
26-43:6 And
I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.
26-47:1 Afterward
he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out
from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from
under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
27-1:19 And the king communed with them; and
among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
therefore stood they before the king.
27-2:2 Then
the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the
sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams. So they came and
stood before the king.
27-2:31 Thou,
O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness
was excellent, stood before thee; and the form
thereof was terrible.
27-3:3 Then
the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the
counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered
together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set
up; and they stood before the image that
Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
27-7:10 A
fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands
ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books
were opened.
27-7:16 I
came near unto one of them that stood by, and
asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the
interpretation of the things.
27-8:3 Then
I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood
before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but
one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
27-8:15 And
it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the
meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as
the appearance of a man.
27-8:17 So
he came near where I stood: and when he came, I
was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of
man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
27-8:22 Now
that being broken, whereas four stood up for it,
four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
27-10:11 And
he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I
speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he
had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
27-10:16 And,
behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I
opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood
before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have
retained no strength.
27-11:1 Also
I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood
to confirm and to strengthen him.
27-12:5 Then
I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other
two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side
of the bank of the river.
28-10:9 O Israel, thou hast sinned from the
days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in
Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
30-7:7 Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the
Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with
a plumbline in his hand.
31-1:14 Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that
did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did
remain in the day of distress.
35-3:6 He stood,
and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the
everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are
everlasting.
35-3:11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine
arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.
38-1:8 I saw by night, and behold a man
riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the
myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses,
speckled, and white.
38-1:10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These
are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.
38-1:11 And they answered the angel of the
LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said,
We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth
still, and is at rest.
38-3:3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy
garments, and stood before the angel.
38-3:4 And he answered and spake unto
those that stood before him, saying, Take away
the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine
iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
38-3:5 And I said, Let them set a fair
mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him
with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood
by.
40-2:9 When they had heard the king, they
departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till
it came and stood over where the young child
was.
40-12:46 While he yet talked to the people,
behold, his mother and his brethren stood
without, desiring to speak with him.
40-13:2 And great multitudes were gathered
together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole
multitude stood on the shore.
40-20:32 And Jesus stood
still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
40-26:73 And after a while came unto him they
that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou
also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.
40-27:11 And Jesus stood
before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of
the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.
40-27:47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth
for Elias.
41-10:49 And Jesus stood
still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto
him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
41-11:5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the
colt?
41-14:47 And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high
priest, and cut off his ear.
41-14:60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying,
Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
41-14:69 And a maid saw him again, and began
to say to them that stood by, This is one of
them.
41-14:70 And he denied it again. And a little
after, they that stood by said again to Peter,
Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth
thereto.
41-15:35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth
Elias.
41-15:39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and
gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
42-4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had
been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the
sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
42-4:39 And he stood
over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and
ministered unto them.
42-5:1 And it came to pass, that, as the
people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood
by the lake of Gennesaret,
42-6:8 But he knew their thoughts, and
said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the
midst. And he arose and stood forth.
42-6:17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples,
and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the
sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their
diseases;
42-7:14 And he came and touched the bier:
and they that bare him stood still. And he said,
Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
42-7:38 And stood
at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe
them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with
the ointment.
42-9:32 But Peter and they that were with
him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the
two men that stood with him.
42-10:25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall
I do to inherit eternal life?
42-17:12 And as he entered into a certain
village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood
afar off:
42-18:11 The Pharisee stood
and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men
are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
42-18:40 And Jesus stood,
and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked
him,
42-19:8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half
of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by
false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
42-19:24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him
that hath ten pounds.
42-23:10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.
42-23:35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided
him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen
of God.
42-23:49 And all his acquaintance, and the
women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar
off, beholding these things.
42-24:4 And it came to pass, as they were
much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood
by them in shining garments:
42-24:36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself
stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them,
Peace be unto you.
43-1:35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
43-6:22 The day following, when the people
which stood on the other side of the sea saw
that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples
were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but
that his disciples were gone away alone;
43-7:37 In the last day, that great day of
the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any
man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
43-11:56 Then sought they for Jesus, and spake
among themselves, as they stood in the temple,
What think ye, that he will not come to the feast?
43-12:29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others
said, An angel spake to him.
43-18:5 They answered him, Jesus of
Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.
43-18:16 But Peter stood
at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto
the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.
43-18:18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was
cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood
with them, and warmed himself.
43-18:22 And when he had thus spoken, one of
the officers which stood by struck Jesus with
the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?
43-18:25 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto
him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.
43-19:25 Now there stood
by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of
Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
43-20:11 But Mary stood
without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked
into the sepulchre,
43-20:19 Then the same day at evening, being
the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were
assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood
in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
43-20:26 And after eight days again his disciples
were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
43-21:4 But when the morning was now come,
Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew
not that it was Jesus.
44-1:10 And while they looked stedfastly
toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood
by them in white apparel;
44-1:15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the
number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
44-3:8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the
temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
44-4:26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against
the Lord, and against his Christ.
44-5:34 Then stood
there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law,
had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth
a little space;
44-9:7 And the men which journeyed with
him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but
seeing no man.
44-9:39 Then Peter arose and went with them.
When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and
garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
44-10:17 Now while Peter doubted in himself
what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent
from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon’s house, and stood
before the gate,
44-10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I
was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and,
behold, a man stood before me in bright
clothing,
44-11:13 And he shewed us how he had seen an
angel in his house, which stood and said unto him,
Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;
44-11:28 And there stood
up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be
great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of
Claudius Caesar.
44-12:14 And when she knew Peter’s voice, she
opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.
44-13:16 Then Paul stood
up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give
audience.
44-14:20 Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the
city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
44-16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the
night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and
prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
44-17:22 Then Paul stood
in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all
things ye are too superstitious.
44-21:40 And when he had given him licence,
Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the
hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto
them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,
44-22:13 Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy
sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.
44-22:25 And as they bound him with thongs,
Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is
it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?
44-23:2 And the high priest Ananias
commanded them that stood by him to smite him on
the mouth.
44-23:4 And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God’s high priest?
