stones, and stones
to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.
02-28:9 And
thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on
them the names of the children of Israel:
02-28:11 With
the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt
thou engrave the two stones with the names of
the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.
02-28:12 And
thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders
of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and
Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a
memorial.

thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the
first row shall be a sardius, a
topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the
first row.
02-28:21 And
the stones shall be with the names of the children
of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they
be according to the twelve tribes.

priest shall command that they take away the stones
in which the plague is, and they

shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other morter, and shall
plaister the house.

plague come again, and break out in the house, after that he hath taken away
the stones, and after he hath scraped the house,

wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron,
and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.

shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from

shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of
her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in
Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away
from among you.
05-22:24 Then ye
shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones
that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his
neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with
plaister.

and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:

shalt write upon the stones all the words of
this law very plainly.

command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the
place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones,
and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place,
where ye shall lodge this night.
06-4:6 That
this may be a sign among you, that when
your children ask their fathers in
time to come, saying, What mean ye by
these stones?
06-4:7 Then ye
shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the
covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut

their hands.

therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in
sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall
dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness.

afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not
comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with

make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of
pleasant stones.
23-57:6 Among the
smooth stones
of the stream is thy portion;
they, they are thy lot: even to them
hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I
receive comfort in these?
23-60:17 For brass
I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and
for stones iron: I will also make thy officers
peace, and thine exactors righteousness.

unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send
and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his
throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he
shall spread his royal pavilion over them.

also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone
thee with stones, and thrust thee through with
their swords.

company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they
shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
