01-2:9 And out
of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the
midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
01-18:3 And said,
My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight,
pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:
01-19:19 Behold
now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight,
and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my
life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
01-21:11 And the
thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight
because of his son.
01-21:12 And God
said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight
because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said
unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
01-23:4 I am a stranger and a sojourner with you:
give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of
my sight.
01-23:8 And he
communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out
of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to
Ephron the son of Zohar,
01-32:5 And I
have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants, and womenservants: and I have
sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.
01-33:8 And he
said, What meanest thou by all this
drove which I met? And he said, These are
to find grace in the sight of my lord.
01-33:10 And Jacob
said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for
therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou
wast pleased with me.
01-33:15 And Esau
said, Let me now leave with thee some of
the folk that are with me. And he
said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight
of my lord.
01-38:7 And Er,
Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of
the LORD; and the LORD slew him.
01-39:4 And
Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served
him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
01-39:21 But the
LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
01-47:18 When that
year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will
not hide it from my lord, how that
our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought
left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies,
and our lands:
01-47:25 And they
said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants.
01-47:29 And the
time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said
unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight,
put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me;
bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt:
02-3:3 And Moses said, I will now turn
aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is
not burnt.
02-3:21 And I will give this people favour
in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come
to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:
02-4:30 And Aaron spake all the words which
the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
02-7:20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the
LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight
of his servants; and all the waters that were
in the river were turned to blood.
02-9:8 And the LORD said unto Moses and
unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses
sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of
Pharaoh.
02-11:3 And the LORD gave the people favour
in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man
Moses was very great in the land of Egypt,
in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.
02-12:36 And the LORD gave the people favour
in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent
unto them such things as they required. And
they spoiled the Egyptians.
02-15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently
hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in
his sight, and wilt give ear to his
commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon
thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
02-17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee
there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall
come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
02-19:11 And be ready against the third day:
for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight
of all the people upon mount Sinai.
02-24:17 And the sight
of the glory of the LORD was like
devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
02-33:12 And Moses said unto the LORD, See,
thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom
thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast
also found grace in my sight.
02-33:13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have
found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way,
that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight:
and consider that this nation is thy
people.
02-33:16 For wherein shall it be known here
that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight?
is it not in that thou goest with us?
so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
02-33:17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will
do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
02-34:9 And he said, If now I have found
grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray
thee, go among us; for it is a
stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine
inheritance.
02-40:38 For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire
was on it by night, in the sight of all the
house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
03-10:19 And Aaron
said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and
their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day,
should it have been accepted in the sight of the
LORD?
03-13:3 And the
priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned
white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it
is a plague of leprosy: and the
priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.
03-13:4 If the
bright spot be white in the skin of
his flesh, and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned
white; then the priest shall shut up him
that hath the plague seven days:
03-13:5 And the
priest shall look on him the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague in his sight be at a
stay, and the plague spread not in
the skin; then the priest shall shut him up seven days more:
03-13:20 And if,
when the priest seeth it, behold, it be in
sight lower than the skin, and the hair thereof be
turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the boil.
03-13:25 Then the
priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if
the hair in the bright spot be turned white, and it be in sight deeper than the skin; it
is a leprosy broken out of the
burning: wherefore the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of leprosy.
03-13:30 Then the
priest shall see the plague: and, behold, if it be in sight deeper than the skin; and there be in it a yellow thin hair;
then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a dry scall, even a
leprosy upon the head or beard.
03-13:31 And if the
priest look on the plague of the scall, and, behold, it be not in sight deeper than the
skin, and that there is no black hair
in it; then the priest shall shut up him
that hath the plague of the scall seven days:
03-13:32 And in the
seventh day the priest shall look on the plague: and, behold, if the scall spread not, and there be in
it no yellow hair, and the scall be not
in sight deeper than the skin;
03-13:34 And in the
seventh day the priest shall look on the scall: and, behold, if the scall be not spread in the skin,
nor be in sight
deeper than the skin; then the priest shall pronounce him clean: and he shall
wash his clothes, and be clean.
03-13:37 But if the
scall be in his sight at a stay, and that there is black hair grown up
therein; the scall is healed, he is clean:
and the priest shall pronounce him clean.
03-14:37 And he
shall look on the plague, and, behold, if
the plague be in the walls of the
house with hollow strakes, greenish or reddish, which in sight are lower
than the wall;
03-20:17 And if a man
shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and see
her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister’s
nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.
03-25:53 And as a yearly hired servant shall he
be with him: and the other shall not
rule with rigour over him in thy sight.
03-26:45 But I will
for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth
out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the
heathen, that I might be their God: I am the
LORD.
04-3:4 And
Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire before the
LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and
Ithamar ministered in the priest’s office in the sight
of Aaron their father.
04-11:11 And Moses
said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore
have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou
layest the burden of all this people upon me?
04-11:15 And if
thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found
favour in thy sight; and let me not see my
wretchedness.
04-13:33 And there
we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which
come of the giants: and we were in our own sight
as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
04-19:5 And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with
her dung, shall he burn:
04-20:27 And Moses
did as the LORD commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
04-25:6 And,
behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a
Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in
the sight of all the congregation of the
children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation.
04-27:19 And set
him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a
charge in their sight.
04-32:5 Wherefore,
said they, if we have found grace in thy sight,
let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.
04-32:13 And the
LORD’S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the
wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.
04-33:3 And they
departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first
month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an
high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
05-4:6 Keep
therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in
the sight of the nations, which shall hear all
these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
05-4:25 When thou
shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long
in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves,
and make a graven image, or the
likeness of any thing, and shall do
evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to
provoke him to anger:
05-4:37 And
because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and
brought thee out in his sight with his mighty
power out of Egypt;
05-6:18 And thou
shalt do that which is right and good
in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well
with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD
sware unto thy fathers,
05-9:18 And I
fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did
neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned,
in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to
provoke him to anger.
05-12:25 Thou shalt
not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee,
when thou shalt do that which is right
in the sight of the LORD.
05-12:28 Observe and
hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and
with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight
of the LORD thy God.
05-17:2 If there
be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee,
man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight
of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
05-21:9 So shalt
thou put away the guilt of innocent
blood from among you, when thou shalt do that
which is right in the sight of the LORD.
05-28:34 So that
thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes
which thou shalt see.
05-28:67 In the
morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say,
Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt
fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou
shalt see.
05-31:7 And Moses
called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight
of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this
people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them;
and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
05-31:29 For I know
that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves,
and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will
befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the
work of your hands.
05-34:12 And in all
that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.
06-3:7 And the
LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was
with Moses, so I will be with thee.
06-4:14 On that
day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of
all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his
life.
06-10:12 Then spake
Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before
the children of Israel, and he said in the sight
of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of
Ajalon.
06-23:5 And the
LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of
your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as
the LORD your God hath promised unto you.
06-24:17 For the
LORD our God, he it is that brought
us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and
which did those great signs in our sight, and
preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through
whom we passed:
07-2:11 And
the children of Israel did evil in the sight of
the LORD, and served Baalim:
07-3:7 And
the children of Israel did evil in the sight of
the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.
07-3:12 And
the children of Israel did evil again in the sight
of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel,
because they had done evil in the sight of the
LORD.
07-4:1 And
the children of Israel again did evil in the sight
of the LORD, when Ehud was dead.
07-6:1 And
the children of Israel did evil in the sight of
the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.
07-6:17 And
he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight,
then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.
07-6:21 Then
the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes;
and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the
unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.
07-10:6 And
the children of Israel did evil again in the sight
of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the
gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and
the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.
07-13:1 And
the children of Israel did evil again in the sight
of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty
years.
08-2:2 And
Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears
of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go,
my daughter.
08-2:13 Then
she said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my
lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly
unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens.
09-1:18 And
she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight.
So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.
09-12:17 Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will
call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive
and see that your wickedness is great,
which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in
asking you a king.
09-15:17 And
Samuel said, When thou wast little in
thine own sight, wast thou not made the
head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?
09-15:19 Wherefore
then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil,
and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?
09-16:22 And
Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he
hath found favour in my sight.
09-18:5 And
David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and
behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was
accepted in the sight of all the people, and
also in the sight of Saul’s servants.
09-29:6 Then
Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and
thy coming in with me in the host is good
in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee
since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords
favour thee not.
09-29:9 And
Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of
God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go
up with us to the battle.
10-6:22 And
I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken
of, of them shall I be had in honour.
10-7:9 And
I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies
out of thy sight, and have made thee a great
name, like unto the name of the great men
that are in the earth.
10-7:19 And
this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord
GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to
come. And is this the manner of man,
O Lord GOD?
10-12:9 Wherefore
hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the
sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy
wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
10-12:11 Thus
saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own
house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall
lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
10-13:5 And
Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and
when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar
come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight,
that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.
10-13:6 So
Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him,
Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a
couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at
her hand.
10-13:8 So
Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was laid down. And she took
flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes
in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
10-14:22 And
Joab fell to the ground on his face, and bowed himself, and thanked the king:
and Joab said, To day thy servant knoweth that I have found grace in thy sight, my lord, O king, in that the king hath
fulfilled the request of his servant.
10-16:4 Then
said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all
that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And
Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I
may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.
10-16:22 So
they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his
father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.
10-22:25 Therefore
the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my
cleanness in his eye sight.
11-8:25 Therefore
now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou
promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy
children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked
before me.
11-9:7 Then
will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house,
which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword
among all people:
11-11:6 And
Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and
went not fully after the LORD, as did David
his father.
11-11:19 And
Hadad found great favour in the sight of
Pharaoh, so that he gave him to wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of
Tahpenes the queen.
11-11:38 And
it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk
in my ways, and do that is right in
my sight, to keep my statutes and my
commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee
a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.
11-14:22 And
Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and
they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they had committed, above
all that their fathers had done.
11-15:26 And
he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked
in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
11-15:34 And
he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked
in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
11-16:7 And
also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the
LORD against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did
in the sight of the LORD, in provoking him to
anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and
because he killed him.
11-16:19 For
his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight
of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to
make Israel to sin.
11-16:30 And
Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of
the LORD above all that were before
him.
11-21:20 And
Ahab said to Elijah, hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found
thee; because thou hast sold thyself
to work evil in the sight of the LORD.
11-21:25 But
there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the
sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred
up.
11-22:52 And
he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked
in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:
12-1:13 And
he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third
captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and
besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and
the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.
12-1:14 Behold,
there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former
fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight.
12-3:2 And
he wrought evil in the sight of the LORD; but
not like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal
that his father had made.
12-3:18 And
this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also
into your hand.
12-8:18 And
he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the
daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight
of the LORD.
12-8:27 And
he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he was
the son in law of the house of Ahab.
12-12:2 And
Jehoash did that which was right in
the sight of the LORD all his days wherein
Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
12-13:2 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and followed the sins of Jeroboam
the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.
12-13:11 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD; he departed not from all the sins
of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel sin: but he walked therein.
12-14:3 And
he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he
did according to all things as Joash his father did.
12-14:24 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins
of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
12-15:3 And
he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father
Amaziah had done;
12-15:9 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed
not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
12-15:18 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from
the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
12-15:24 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
12-15:28 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
12-15:34 And
he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his
father Uzziah had done.
12-16:2 Twenty
years old was Ahaz when he began to
reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the sight of
the LORD his God, like David his father.
12-17:2 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, but not as the kings of Israel that
were before him.
12-17:17 And
they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used
divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
12-17:18 Therefore
the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah
only.
12-17:20 And
the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered
them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
12-17:23 Until
the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he
had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of
their own land to Assyria unto this day.
12-18:3 And
he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his
father did.
12-20:3 I
beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and
with a perfect heart, and have done that
which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah
wept sore.
12-21:2 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the
heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
12-21:6 And
he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used
enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much
wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
12-21:15 Because
they have done that which was evil in
my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since
the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
12-21:16 Moreover
Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one
end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
12-21:20 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh did.
12-22:2 And
he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David
his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.
12-23:27 And
the LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight,
as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have
chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.
12-23:32 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers
had done.
12-23:37 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers
had done.
12-24:3 Surely
at the commandment of the LORD came this upon
Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that
he did;
12-24:9 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father
had done.
12-24:19 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had
done.
13-2:3 The
sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which
three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er,
the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of
the LORD; and he slew him.
13-19:13 Be
of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for
the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that
which is good in his sight.
13-22:8 But
the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and
hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast
shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
13-28:8 Now
therefore in the sight of all Israel the
congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all
the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and
leave it for an inheritance for your
children after you for ever.
13-29:25 And
the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight
of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such
royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
14-6:16 Now
therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that
which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that
thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked
before me.
14-7:20 Then
will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and
this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.
14-20:32 And
he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.
14-22:4 Wherefore
he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the
house of Ahab: for they were his counsellors after the death of his father to
his destruction.
14-24:2 And
Joash did that which was right in the
sight of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the
priest.
14-25:2 And
he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.
14-26:4 And
he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father
Amaziah did.
14-27:2 And
he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah
did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet
corruptly.
14-28:1 Ahaz
was twenty years old when he began to
reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father:
14-29:2 And
he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his
father had done.
14-32:23 And
many brought gifts unto the LORD to Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of
Judah: so that he was magnified in the sight of
all nations from thenceforth.
14-33:2 But
did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the
heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
14-33:6 And
he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of
Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and
dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
14-33:22 But
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father: for
Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made,
and served them;
14-34:2 And
he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his
father, and declined neither to the
right hand, nor to the left.
14-36:5 Jehoiakim
was twenty and five years old when he
began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God.
14-36:9 Jehoiachin
was eight years old when he began to
reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
14-36:12 And
he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD.
15-9:9 For
we were bondmen; yet our God hath not
forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving,
to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to
give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
16-1:11 O
Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy
servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and
prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.
16-2:5 And
I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found
favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me
unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers’ sepulchres, that I may build it.
16-8:5 And
Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the
people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the
people stood up:
17-2:15 Now
when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had
taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required
nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women,
appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight
of all them that looked upon her.
17-2:17 And
the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in
his sight more than all the virgins; so that he
set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
17-5:2 And
it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden
sceptre that was in his hand. So
Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.
17-5:8 If
I have found favour in the sight of the king,
and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let
the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I
will do to morrow as the king hath said.
17-7:3 Then
Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life
be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:
17-8:5 And
said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters
devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy
the Jews which are in all the king’s
provinces:
18-15:15 Behold,
he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.
18-18:3 Wherefore
are we counted as beasts, and reputed
vile in your sight?
18-19:15 They
that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien
in their sight.
18-21:8 Their
seed is established in their sight with them,
and their offspring before their eyes.
18-25:5 Behold
even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
18-34:26 He
striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of
others;
18-41:9 Behold,
the hope of him is in vain: shall not one
be cast down even at the sight of him?
19-5:5 The
foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou
hatest all workers of iniquity.
19-9:19 Arise,
O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
19-10:5 His
ways are always grievous; thy judgments are
far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at
them.
19-19:14 Let
the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
19-51:4 Against
thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this
evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be
justified when thou speakest, and be
clear when thou judgest.
19-72:14 He
shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their
blood be in his sight.
19-76:7 Thou,
even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight
when once thou art angry?
19-78:12 Marvellous
things did he in the sight of their fathers, in
the land of Egypt, in the field of
Zoan.
19-79:10 Wherefore
should the heathen say, Where is their
God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight
by the revenging of the blood of thy
servants which is shed.
19-90:4 For
a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past,
and as a watch in the night.
19-98:2 The
LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in
the sight of the heathen.
19-101:7 He
that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall
not tarry in my sight.
19-116:15 Precious
in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
19-143:2 And
enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight
shall no man living be justified.
20-1:17 Surely
in vain the net is spread in the sight of any
bird.
20-3:4 So
shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight
of God and man.
20-4:3 For
I was my father’s son, tender and only beloved
in the sight of my mother.
21-2:26 For
God giveth to a man that is good in his sight
wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather
and to heap up, that he may give to him
that is good before God. This also is
vanity and vexation of spirit.
21-6:9 Better
is the sight
of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
21-8:3 Be
not hasty to go out of his sight: stand not in
an evil thing; for he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him.
21-11:9 Rejoice,
O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy
youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight
of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.
23-5:21 Woe
unto them that are wise in their own
eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
23-11:3 And
shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not
judge after the sight of his eyes, neither
reprove after the hearing of his ears:
23-26:17 Like
as a woman with child, that draweth
near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and
crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight,
O LORD.
23-38:3 And
said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in
truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And
Hezekiah wept sore.
23-43:4 Since
thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been
honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and
people for thy life.
24-4:1 If
thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt
put away thine abominations out of my sight,
then shalt thou not remove.
24-7:15 And
I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast
out all your brethren, even the whole
seed of Ephraim.
24-7:30 For
the children of Judah have done evil in my sight,
saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called
by my name, to pollute it.
24-15:1 Then
said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this
people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
24-18:10 If
it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my
voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.
24-18:23 Yet,
LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy
sight, but let them be overthrown before thee;
deal thus with them in the time of thine
anger.
24-19:10 Then
shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the
men that go with thee.
24-32:12 And
I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of
Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle’s son, and in the presence of the
witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that
sat in the court of the prison.
24-34:15 And
ye were now turned, and had done right in my sight,
in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant
before me in the house which is called by my name:
24-43:9 Take
great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in
Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
24-51:24 And
I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil
that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith
the LORD.
26-4:12 And
thou shalt eat it as barley cakes,
and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
26-5:8 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am
against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.
26-5:14 Moreover
I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.
26-10:2 And
he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine
hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my
sight.
26-10:19 And
the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east
gate of the LORD’S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
26-12:3 Therefore,
thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another
place in their sight: it may be they will
consider, though they be a rebellious
house.
26-12:4 Then
shalt thou bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight,
as stuff for removing: and thou shalt go forth at even in their sight, as they that go forth into captivity.
26-12:5 Dig
thou through the wall in their sight, and carry
out thereby.
26-12:6 In
their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the twilight: thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see
not the ground: for I have set thee for a
sign unto the house of Israel.
26-12:7 And
I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for
captivity, and in the even I digged through the wall with mine hand; I brought it forth in the twilight, and I bare it upon my shoulder in
their sight.
26-16:41 And
they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease
from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.
26-20:9 But
I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the
heathen, among whom they were, in
whose sight I made myself known unto them, in
bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
26-20:14 But
I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the
heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.
26-20:22 Nevertheless
I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be
polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.
26-20:43 And
there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been
defiled; and ye shall loathe yourselves in your own sight
for all your evils that ye have committed.
26-21:23 And
it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight,
to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity,
that they may be taken.
26-22:16 And
thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight
of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am
the LORD.
26-28:18 Thou
hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the
iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of
thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in
the sight of all them that behold thee.
26-28:25 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people
among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their
land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
26-36:31 Then
shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
26-36:34 And
the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
26-39:27 When
I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their
enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight
of many nations;
26-43:11 And
if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house,
and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in
thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the
forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may
keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.
27-4:11 The
tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:
27-4:20 The
tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto
the heaven, and the sight thereof to all the
earth;
28-2:2 Plead
with your mother, plead: for she is not
my wife, neither am I her husband:
let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight,
and her adulteries from between her breasts;
28-2:10 And
now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of
her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.
28-6:2 After
two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall
live in his sight.
30-9:3 And
though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them
out thence; and though they be hid from my sight
in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite
them:
32-2:4 Then
I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will
look again toward thy holy temple.
39-2:17 Ye
have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth
evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or,
Where is the God of judgment?
40-11:5 The blind
receive their sight, and the lame walk, the
lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor
have the gospel preached to them.
40-11:26 Even so,
Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
40-20:34 So Jesus
had compassion on them, and touched
their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight,
and they followed him.
41-10:51 And Jesus
answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The
blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
41-10:52 And Jesus
said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he
received his sight, and followed Jesus in the
way.
42-1:15 For he
shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and
shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy
Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.
42-4:18 The
Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me
to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty them that are bruised,
42-7:21 And in
that same hour he cured many of their infirmities
and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.
42-10:21 In that
hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven
and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast
revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
42-15:21 And the son
said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
42-16:15 And he
said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God
knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination
in the sight of God.
42-18:41 Saying,
What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive
my sight.
42-18:42 And Jesus
said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath
saved thee.
42-18:43 And
immediately he received his sight, and followed
him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
42-23:48 And all
the people that came together to that sight,
beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.
42-24:31 And their
eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
43-9:11 He answered
and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and
said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I
received sight.
43-9:15 Then
again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes,
and I washed, and do see.
43-9:18 But the
Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had
received his sight.
44-1:9 And when
he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud
received him out of their sight.
44-4:19 But Peter
and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God,
judge ye.
44-7:10 And delivered
him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him
governor over Egypt and all his house.
44-7:31 When
Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,
44-8:21 Thou hast
neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
44-9:9 And he
was three days without sight, and neither did
eat nor drink.
44-9:12 And hath
seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive
his sight.
44-9:17 And
Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him
said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus,
that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou
mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with
the Holy Ghost.
44-9:18 And
immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
44-10:31 And said,
Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
44-22:13 Came unto
me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.
45-3:20 Therefore
by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
45-12:17 Recompense
to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight
of all men.
