paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were
the body of heaven in his clearness.
02-28:18 And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
02-39:11 And the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
18-28:16 It
cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
25-4:7 Her
Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more
ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was
of sapphire:
26-1:26 And
above the firmament that was over
their heads was the likeness of a
throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone:
and upon the likeness of the throne was the
likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
26-10:1 Then
I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the
cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire
stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
26-28:13 Thou
hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl,
the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the
emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy
pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
66-21:19 And the
foundations of the wall of the city were garnished
with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire;
the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;

foundations with sapphires.

58-11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to
conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she
judged him faithful who had promised.
60-3:6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him
lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with
any amazement.
_______________________________________________________________________
01-17:15 And God
said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her
name Sarai,
but Sarah shall her name be.
01-17:17 Then
Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an
hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
01-17:19 And God
said, Sarah thy
wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I
will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
01-17:21 But my
covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next
year.
01-18:6 And
Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of
fine meal, knead it, and make cakes
upon the hearth.
01-18:9 And they
said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said,
Behold, in the tent.
01-18:10 And he
said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo,
Sarah thy wife shall have a son.
And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
01-18:11 Now
Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and
it ceased to be with Sarah after
the manner of women.
01-18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself,
saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
01-18:13 And the
LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child,
which am old?
01-18:14 Is any
thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee,
according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
01-18:15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed
not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.
01-20:2 And
Abraham said of Sarah his
wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech
king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
01-20:14 And
Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.
01-20:16 And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given
thy brother a thousand pieces of
silver: behold, he is to thee a
covering of the eyes, unto all that are with
thee, and with all other: thus she
was reproved.
01-20:18 For the
LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham’s wife.
01-21:1 And the
LORD visited Sarah as he
had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
01-21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a
son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
01-21:3 And
Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.
01-21:6 And Sarah said, God hath made me to
laugh, so that all that hear will
laugh with me.
01-21:7 And she
said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.
01-21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the
Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.
01-21:12 And God
said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and
because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for
in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
01-23:1 And Sarah was an hundred and seven and
twenty years old: these were the
years of the life of Sarah.
01-23:2 And Sarah died in Kirjatharba; the same
is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and
Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and
to weep for her.
01-23:19 And after
this, Abraham buried Sarah his
wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.
01-24:36 And Sarah my master’s wife bare a son
to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath.
01-25:10 The field
which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
01-49:31 There they
buried Abraham and Sarah his
wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.
04-26:46 And the
name of the daughter of Asher was Sarah.
23-51:2 Look unto Abraham your father, and
unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone,
and blessed him, and increased him.
45-9:9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.

01-24:67 And Isaac
brought her into his mother Sarah’s
tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac
was comforted after his mother’s death.
01-25:12 Now these are the generations of Ishmael,
Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s handmaid, bare unto Abraham:
45-4:19 And being not weak in faith, he
considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old,
neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s
womb:

01-11:29 And Abram
and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram’s wife was Sarai;
and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of
Milcah, and the father of Iscah.
01-11:30 But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
01-11:31 And Terah
took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his
son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go
into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.
01-12:5 And Abram
took Sarai
his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered,
and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the
land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.
01-12:11 And it
came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I
know that thou art a fair woman to
look upon:
01-12:17 And the
LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram’s wife.
01-16:1 Now Sarai Abram’s wife bare him no
children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
01-16:2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold
now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid;
it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice
of Sarai.
01-16:3 And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar
her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan,
and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.
01-16:5 And Sarai said unto Abram, My wrong
be upon thee: I have given my maid
into thy bosom; and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her
eyes: the LORD judge between me and thee.
01-16:6 But Abram
said unto Sarai,
Behold, thy maid is in thy hand; do
to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her
face.
01-16:8 And he
said, Hagar, Sarai’s
maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from
the face of my mistress Sarai.
01-17:15 And God
said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

02-16:3 And the children of Israel said unto

with hunger.
02-17:12 But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon;

Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the
temple of the LORD.

when he came, lo, Eli sat upon a seat by the
wayside watching: for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man
came into the city, and told it, all
the city cried out.
09-19:9 And
the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat

09-20:25 And
the king sat upon his seat, as at other times, even upon a seat by the wall: and

and David’s place was empty.

on his throne, that he slew all the

his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.
11-19:4 But
he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for

fathers.

and stoned him with stones, that he died.

12-1:9 Then
the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to
him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill.

head? look, when the messenger cometh, shut the door, and hold him fast at the
door: is not the sound of his
master’s feet behind him?

he took the rulers over hundreds, and the captains, and the guard, and all the

were separated, and sat down in the first day of
the tenth month to examine the matter.
16-1:4 And
it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat
down and wept, and mourned certain days,
and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

booths, and sat under the booths: for since the
days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done
so. And there was very great gladness.

the first in the kingdom;)

the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.

posts went out, being hastened by the king’s commandment, and the decree was

down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.
17-5:1 Now
it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and
stood in the inner court of the king’s house, over against the king’s house:

royal house, over against the gate of the house.
18-2:8 And
he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

they sat down with him upon the ground seven
days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
18-29:25 I
chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as
a king in the army, as one that comforteth
the mourners.
19-26:4 I
have not sat with vain persons, neither will I
go in with dissemblers.
19-137:1 By
the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea,
we wept, when we remembered Zion.
22-2:3 As the
apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is
my beloved among the sons. I sat down under
his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
24-3:2 Lift
up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with.
In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the
Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms
and with thy wickedness.
24-15:17 I
sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor
rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for
thou hast filled me with indignation.

the princes of Judah heard these things, then they came up from the king’s
house unto the house of the LORD, and sat down
in the entry of the new gate of the LORD’S house.
24-32:12 And
I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of

of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in
the court of the prison.
24-36:12 Then
he went down into the king’s house, into the scribe’s chamber: and, lo, all the
princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and
Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the
son of Hananiah, and all the princes.
24-36:22 Now
the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth
month: and there was a fire on the
hearth burning before him.
24-39:3 And
all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat
in the middle gate, even Nergalsharezer,
Samgarnebo, Sarsechim, Rabsaris, Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, with all the residue
of the princes of the king of Babylon.
26-3:15 Then
I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar,

and remained there astonished among them seven days.
26-8:1 And
it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of
the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell
there upon me.
26-8:14 Then
he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there
sat women weeping for Tammuz.
26-14:1 Then
came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat
before me.

the month, that certain of the elders
of Israel came to enquire of the LORD, and sat
before me.
27-2:49 Then
Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over
the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.

word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid
his robe from him, and covered him with
sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east
side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat
under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.
40-4:16 The
people which sat in darkness saw great light;
and to them which sat in the region and shadow
of death light is sprung up.
40-9:10 And it
came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house,
behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat
down with him and his disciples.
40-13:1 The same
day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the
sea side.
40-13:2 And great
multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
40-13:48 Which,
when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat
down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
40-14:9 And the
king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath’s sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a
mountain, and sat down there.

unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of
the end of the world?
40-26:7 There
came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and
poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
40-26:20 Now when
the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
40-26:55 In that
same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with
swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily
with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
40-26:58 But Peter
followed him afar off unto the high priest’s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.
40-26:69 Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him,
saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
40-28:2 And,
behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven,
and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat
upon it.

him.

multitude sat about him, and they said unto him,

and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.

king was exceeding sorry; yet for his
oath’s sake, and for their sakes which sat with
him, he would not reject her.
41-6:40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41-9:35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them,
If any man desire to be first, the same shall
be last of all, and servant of all.
41-10:46 And they
came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great

41-11:2 And saith
unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be
entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.

temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
41-14:3 And being
in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat
at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard
very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
41-14:18 And as
they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say
unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.
41-14:54 And Peter
followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
41-16:14 Afterward
he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat,
and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they
believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
41-16:19 So then
after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
42-4:20 And he
closed the book, and he gave it again
to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of
all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

down, and taught the people out of the ship.

made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of

delivered him to his mother.

at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
42-7:49 And they
that sat at meat with him began to say within
themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
42-10:39 And she
had a sister called Mary, which also sat at
Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
42-11:37 And as he spake,
a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.

these things, he said unto him, Blessed is
he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
42-18:35 And it
came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

ye into the village over against you; in

apostles with him.

and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.

came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he
took bread, and blessed it, and
brake, and gave to them.

Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat
thus on the well: and it was about
the sixth hour.
43-6:3 And

with his disciples.

43-8:2 And
early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came
unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
43-9:8 The neighbours
therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not
this he that sat and begged?
43-11:20 Then
Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in
the house.

they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

knew that it was he which sat for alms at the
Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at
that which had happened unto him.
44-6:15 And all
that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on
him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
44-9:40 But Peter
put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise.
And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat
up.
44-12:21 And upon a
set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat
upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.
44-13:14 But when
they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the
synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
44-14:8 And there
sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his
feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:
44-16:13 And on the
sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be
made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women
which resorted thither.
44-20:9 And there
sat in a window a certain young man named
Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he
sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
44-25:17 Therefore,
when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be
brought forth.
44-26:30 And when he
had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that
sat with them:
46-10:7 Neither
be ye idolaters, as were some of
them; as it is written, The people sat down to
eat and drink, and rose up to play.
58-1:3 Who
being the brightness of his glory,
and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of
his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat
down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
58-10:12 But this man,
after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat
down on the right hand of God;
66-4:2 And
immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat
on the throne.
66-4:3 And he
that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a
sardine stone: and there was a
rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
66-4:9 And when
those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
66-4:10 The four and
twenty elders fall down before him that sat on
the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their
crowns before the throne, saying,
66-5:1 And I
saw in the right hand of him that sat on the
throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
66-5:7 And he
came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
66-6:2 And I
saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat
on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering,
and to conquer.
66-6:4 And
there went out another horse that was red:
and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that
they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
66-6:5 And when
he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I
beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on
him had a pair of balances in his hand.
66-6:8 And I looked,
and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat
on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them
over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and
with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
66-9:17 And thus
I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat
on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the
heads of the horses were as the heads
of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
66-11:16 And the
four and twenty elders, which sat before God on
their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man,
having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
66-14:15 And
another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for
the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
66-14:16 And he
that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on
the earth; and the earth was reaped.
66-19:4 And the
four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat
upon him was called Faithful and
True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to
make war against him that sat on the horse, and
against his army.

remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat
upon the horse, which sword proceeded
out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
66-20:4 And I saw
thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment
was given unto them: and I saw the
souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of
God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had
received his mark upon their
foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand
years.
66-20:11 And I saw
a great white throne, and him that sat on it,
from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no
place for them.

that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make
all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and
faithful.
