01-GENESIS
01-14:18 And
Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest
of the most high God.
01-41:45 And
Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath
the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And
Joseph went out over all the land of
Egypt.
01-41:50 And
unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath
the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare
unto him.
01-46:20 And
unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath
the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare
unto him.
02-2:16 Now
the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and
they came and drew water, and filled
the troughs to water their father’s flock.
02-3:1 Now
Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest
of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the
mountain of God, even to Horeb.
02-18:1 When
Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses’ father in
law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out
of Egypt;
02-29:30 And that son that is priest in his stead shall put them on seven days, when
he cometh into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the holy place.
02-31:10 And
the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in
the priest’s office,
02-35:19 The
cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest,
and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s
office.
02-38:21 This
is the sum of the tabernacle, even of
the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of
Moses, for the service of the
Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest.
02-39:41 The
cloths of service to do service in the holy place,
and the holy garments for Aaron the priest,
and his sons’ garments, to minister in the priest’s
office.
03-1:7 And
the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon
the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:
03-1:9 But
his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering
made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-1:12 And
he shall cut it into his pieces, with his head and his fat: and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:
03-1:13 But
he shall wash the inwards and the legs with water: and the priest shall bring it
all, and burn it upon the altar:
it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering
made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-1:15 And
the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and
wring off his head, and burn it on
the altar; and the blood thereof shall be wrung out at the side of the altar:
03-1:17 And
he shall cleave it with the wings thereof, but
shall not divide it asunder: and
the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon
the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made
by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-2:2 And
he shall bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests:
and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil
thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest
shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD:
03-2:8 And
thou shalt bring the meat offering that is made of these things unto the LORD:
and when it is presented unto the priest, he
shall bring it unto the altar.
03-2:9 And
the priest shall take from the meat offering a
memorial thereof, and shall burn it upon
the altar: it is an offering made by
fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-2:16 And
the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof, with all the
frankincense thereof: it is an
offering made by fire unto the LORD.
03-3:11 And
the priest shall burn it upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by
fire unto the LORD.
03-3:16 And
the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by
fire for a sweet savour: all the fat is the
LORD’S.
03-4:3 If
the priest that is anointed do sin according to
the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a
young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.
03-4:5 And
the priest that is anointed shall take of the
bullock’s blood, and bring it to the tabernacle of the congregation:
03-4:6 And
the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and
sprinkle of the blood seven times before the LORD, before the vail of the
sanctuary.
03-4:7 And
the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense
before the LORD, which is in the
tabernacle of the congregation; and shall pour all the blood of the bullock at
the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
03-4:10 As
it was taken off from the bullock of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall burn them upon the altar of the burnt
offering.
03-4:16 And
the priest that is anointed shall bring of the
bullock’s blood to the tabernacle of the congregation:
03-4:17 And
the priest shall dip his finger in some of the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD, even before the vail.
03-4:20 And
he shall do with the bullock as he did with the bullock for a sin offering, so
shall he do with this: and the priest shall make
an atonement for them, and it shall be forgiven them.
03-4:25 And
the priest shall take of the blood of the sin
offering with his finger, and put it upon
the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the
bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
03-4:26 And
he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace
offerings: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.
03-4:30 And
the priest shall take of the blood thereof with
his finger, and put it upon the horns
of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the
bottom of the altar.
03-4:31 And
he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the
sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest
shall burn it upon the altar for a
sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall
make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.
03-4:34 And
the priest shall take of the blood of the sin
offering with his finger, and put it upon
the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood
thereof at the bottom of the altar:
03-4:35 And
he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away
from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest
shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto
the LORD: and the priest shall make an atonement
for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be forgiven him.
03-5:6 And
he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath
sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin
offering; and the priest shall make an atonement
for him concerning his sin.
03-5:8 And
he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall
offer that which is for the sin offering first, and wring off his head from his
neck, but shall not divide it asunder:
03-5:10 And
he shall offer the second for a burnt
offering, according to the manner: and the priest
shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall
be forgiven him.
03-5:12 Then
shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, even a memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, according to the offerings
made by fire unto the LORD: it is a
sin offering.
03-5:13 And
the priest shall make an atonement for him as
touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven
him: and the remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.
03-5:16 And
he shall make amends for the harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and
shall add the fifth part thereto, and give it unto the priest:
and the priest shall make an atonement for him
with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.
03-5:18 And
he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for
a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his
ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not,
and it shall be forgiven him.
03-6:6 And
he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without blemish out
of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest:
03-6:7 And
the priest shall make an atonement for him
before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath
done in trespassing therein.
03-6:10 And
the priest shall put on his linen garment, and
his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the
fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them
beside the altar.
03-6:12 And
the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and
the priest shall burn wood on it every morning,
and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat
of the peace offerings.
03-6:22 And
the priest of his sons that is anointed in his
stead shall offer it: it is a statute
for ever unto the LORD; it shall be wholly burnt.
03-6:23 For
every meat offering for the priest shall be
wholly burnt: it shall not be eaten.
03-6:26 The
priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in
the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the
congregation.
03-7:5 And
the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto the
LORD: it is a trespass offering.
03-7:7 As
the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.
03-7:8 And
the priest that offereth any man’s burnt
offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt
offering which he hath offered.
03-7:31 And
the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar:
but the breast shall be Aaron’s and his sons’.
03-7:32 And
the right shoulder shall ye give unto the priest
for an heave offering of the
sacrifices of your peace offerings.
03-7:34 For
the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel
from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto
Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute
for ever from among the children of Israel.
03-12:6 And
when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she
shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon,
or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation, unto the priest:
03-12:8 And
if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two
young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin
offering: and the priest shall make an atonement
for her, and she shall be clean.
03-13:2 When
a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and
it be in the skin of his flesh like the
plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:
03-13:3 And
the priest shall look on the plague in the skin
of the flesh: and when the hair in
the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: and the priest
shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.
03-13:4 If
the bright spot be white in the skin
of his flesh, and in sight be not
deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague seven days:
03-13:5 And
the priest shall look on him the seventh day:
and, behold, if the plague in his
sight be at a stay, and the plague
spread not in the skin; then the priest shall
shut him up seven days more:
03-13:6 And
the priest shall look on him again the seventh
day: and, behold, if the plague be somewhat dark, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest
shall pronounce him clean: it is but a
scab: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.
03-13:7 But
if the scab spread much abroad in the skin, after that he hath been seen of the
priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen of
the priest again:
03-13:8 And
if the priest
see that, behold, the scab spreadeth in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a leprosy.
03-13:9 When
the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought unto the priest;
03-13:10 And
the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the
rising be white in the skin, and it
have turned the hair white, and there be quick
raw flesh in the rising;
03-13:11 It
is an old leprosy in the skin of his
flesh, and the priest shall pronounce him
unclean, and shall not shut him up: for he is
unclean.
03-13:12 And
if a leprosy break out abroad in the skin, and the leprosy cover all the skin
of him that hath the plague from his
head even to his foot, wheresoever the priest
looketh;
03-13:13 Then
the priest shall consider: and, behold, if the leprosy have covered all his
flesh, he shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: it is all turned
white: he is clean.
03-13:15 And
the priest shall see the raw flesh, and
pronounce him to be unclean: for the
raw flesh is unclean: it is a leprosy.
03-13:16 Or
if the raw flesh turn again, and be changed unto white, he shall come unto the priest;
03-13:17 And
the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the plague be turned into white; then
the priest shall pronounce him clean that hath the
plague: he is clean.
03-13:19 And
in the place of the boil there be a white rising, or a bright spot, white, and
somewhat reddish, and it be shewed to the priest;
03-13:20 And
if, when the priest seeth it, behold, it be in sight lower than the skin, and the
hair thereof be turned white; the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a plague
of leprosy broken out of the boil.
03-13:21 But
if the priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hairs therein, and if it be not lower than the skin, but be
somewhat dark; then the priest shall shut
him up seven days:
03-13:22 And
if it spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest
shall pronounce him unclean: it is a
plague.
03-13:23 But
if the bright spot stay in his place, and
spread not, it is a burning boil;
and the priest shall pronounce him clean.
03-13:25 Then
the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot be turned
white, and it be in sight deeper than
the skin; it is a leprosy broken out
of the burning: wherefore the priest shall pronounce
him unclean: it is the plague of
leprosy.
03-13:26 But
if the priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hair in the bright
spot, and it be no lower than the other skin, but be somewhat dark; then the priest
shall shut him up seven days:
03-13:27 And
the priest shall look upon him the seventh day: and if it be spread much abroad in the
skin, then the priest shall pronounce him
unclean: it is the plague of leprosy.
03-13:28 And
if the bright spot stay in his place, and
spread not in the skin, but it be somewhat
dark; it is a rising of the burning,
and the priest shall pronounce him clean: for it
is an inflammation of the burning.
03-13:30 Then
the priest shall see the plague: and, behold, if
it be in sight deeper than the skin; and there be in it a yellow thin hair;
then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a dry scall, even a leprosy upon the head or beard.
03-13:31 And
if the priest look on the plague of the scall,
and, behold, it be not in sight
deeper than the skin, and that there is no
black hair in it; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague of the scall
seven days:
03-13:32 And
in the seventh day the priest shall look on the
plague: and, behold, if the scall
spread not, and there be in it no yellow hair, and the scall be not in sight deeper than the skin;
03-13:33 He
shall be shaven, but the scall shall he not shave; and the priest shall shut up him that hath the scall seven days more:
03-13:34 And
in the seventh day the priest shall look on the scall:
and, behold, if the scall be not
spread in the skin, nor be in sight
deeper than the skin; then the priest shall
pronounce him clean: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.
03-13:36 Then
the priest shall look on him: and, behold, if
the scall be spread in the skin, the priest
shall not seek for yellow hair; he is unclean.
03-13:37 But
if the scall be in his sight at a stay, and that
there is black hair grown up therein; the scall is healed, he is clean: and the priest shall pronounce him clean.
03-13:39 Then
the priest shall look: and, behold, if the bright spots in the skin of their
flesh be darkish white; it is a freckled spot that groweth in the skin; he is
clean.
03-13:43 Then
the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the rising of the sore be white reddish in his bald head, or in
his bald forehead, as the leprosy appeareth in the skin of the flesh;
03-13:44 He
is a leprous man, he is unclean: the priest shall pronounce him utterly unclean; his plague
is in his head.
03-13:49 And
if the plague be greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the skin, either in
the warp, or in the woof, or in any thing of skin; it is a plague of leprosy, and shall be shewed unto the priest:
03-13:50 And
the priest shall look upon the plague, and shut
up it that hath the plague seven
days:
03-13:53 And
if the priest shall look, and, behold, the
plague be not spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in
any thing of skin;
03-13:54 Then
the priest shall command that they wash the thing wherein the plague is, and he shall shut it up seven days
more:
03-13:55 And
the priest shall look on the plague, after that
it is washed: and, behold, if the
plague have not changed his colour, and the plague be not spread; it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the
fire; it is fret inward, whether it be bare within or without.
03-13:56 And
if the priest look, and, behold, the plague be somewhat dark after the washing of
it; then he shall rend it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the
warp, or out of the woof:
03-14:2 This
shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought
unto the priest:
03-14:3 And
the priest shall go forth out of the camp; and
the priest shall look, and, behold, if the plague of leprosy be healed in
the leper;
03-14:4 Then
shall the priest command to take for him that is
to be cleansed two birds alive and clean,
and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:
03-14:5 And
the priest shall command that one of the birds
be killed in an earthen vessel over running water:
03-14:11 And
the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those
things, before the LORD, at the door
of the tabernacle of the congregation:
03-14:12 And
the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him
for a trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:
03-14:14 And
the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it
upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:
03-14:15 And
the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand:
03-14:16 And
the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil
that is in his left hand, and shall
sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD:
03-14:17 And
of the rest of the oil that is in his
hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the
right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand,
and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass
offering:
03-14:18 And
the remnant of the oil that is in the
priest’s hand he shall pour upon the head of
him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall
make an atonement for him before the LORD.
03-14:19 And
the priest shall offer the sin offering, and
make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and
afterward he shall kill the burnt offering:
03-14:20 And
the priest shall offer the burnt offering and
the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest
shall make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean.
03-14:23 And
he shall bring them on the eighth day for his cleansing unto the priest, unto the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation, before the LORD.
03-14:24 And
the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass
offering, and the log of oil, and the priest
shall wave them for a wave offering
before the LORD:
03-14:25 And
he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some
of the blood of the trespass offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and
upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:
03-14:26 And
the priest shall pour of the oil into the palm
of his own left hand:
03-14:27 And
the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before
the LORD:
03-14:28 And
the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right
ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and
upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the
trespass offering:
03-14:31 Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat
offering: and the priest shall make an atonement
for him that is to be cleansed before the LORD.
03-14:35 And
he that owneth the house shall come and tell the priest,
saying, It seemeth to me there is as
it were a plague in the house:
03-14:36 Then
the priest shall command that they empty the
house, before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house:
03-14:38 Then
the priest shall go out of the house to the door
of the house, and shut up the house seven days:
03-14:39 And
the priest shall come again the seventh day, and
shall look: and, behold, if the
plague be spread in the walls of the house;
03-14:40 Then
the priest shall command that they take away the
stones in which the plague is, and
they shall cast them into an unclean place without the city:
03-14:44 Then
the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it
is a fretting leprosy in the house:
it is unclean.
03-14:48 And
if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath
not spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the
plague is healed.
03-15:14 And
on the eighth day he shall take to him two turtledoves, or two young pigeons,
and come before the LORD unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,
and give them unto the priest:
03-15:15 And
the priest shall offer them, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD
for his issue.
03-15:29 And
on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons,
and bring them unto the priest, to the door of
the tabernacle of the congregation.
03-15:30 And
the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her before the LORD
for the issue of her uncleanness.
03-16:30 For
on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins
before the LORD.
03-16:32 And
the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he
shall consecrate to minister in the priest’s
office in his father’s stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the
linen clothes, even the holy
garments:
03-17:5 To
the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they
offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD, unto the
door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest,
and offer them for peace offerings
unto the LORD.
03-17:6 And
the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the
altar of the LORD at the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the
LORD.
03-19:22 And
the priest shall make an atonement for him with
the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath
done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.
03-21:9 And
the daughter of any priest, if she profane
herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with
fire.
03-21:10 And
he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the
anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall
not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;
03-21:21 No
man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest
shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a
blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.
03-22:10 There
shall no stranger eat of the holy thing:
a sojourner of the priest, or an hired servant,
shall not eat of the holy thing.
03-22:11 But
if the priest buy any soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in
his house: they shall eat of his meat.
03-22:14 And
if a man eat of the holy thing
unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part
thereof unto it, and shall give it unto
the priest with the holy thing.
03-23:10 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land
which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring
a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
03-23:11 And
he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow
after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
03-23:20 And
the priest shall wave them with the bread of the
firstfruits for a wave offering
before the LORD with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
03-27:8 But
if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest
shall value him; according to his ability that vowed shall the priest value him.
03-27:11 And
if it be any unclean beast, of which
they do not offer a sacrifice unto the LORD, then he shall present the beast
before the priest:
03-27:12 And
the priest shall value it, whether it be good or
bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be.
03-27:14 And
when a man shall sanctify his house to be
holy unto the LORD, then the priest shall estimate
it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest
shall estimate it, so shall it stand.
03-27:18 But
if he sanctify his field after the jubile, then the priest
shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, even unto
the year of the jubile, and it shall be abated from thy estimation.
03-27:23 Then
the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of
thy estimation, even unto the year of
the jubile: and he shall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the LORD.
04-3:6 Bring
the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.
04-3:32 And
Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief over the chief of the
Levites, and have the oversight of them
that keep the charge of the sanctuary.
04-4:16 And
to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest
pertaineth the oil for the light, and
the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle,
and of all that therein is, in the
sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.
04-4:28 This
is the service of the families of the
sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the
son of Aaron the priest.
04-4:33 This
is the service of the families of the
sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the
congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
04-5:8 But
if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be
recompensed unto the LORD, even to
the priest; beside the ram of the atonement,
whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
04-5:9 And
every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they
bring unto the priest, shall be his.
04-5:10 And
every man’s hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth the priest, it shall be his.
04-5:15 Then
shall the man bring his wife unto the priest,
and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor
put frankincense thereon; for it is an
offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to
remembrance.
04-5:16 And
the priest shall bring her near, and set her
before the LORD:
04-5:17 And
the priest shall take holy water in an earthen
vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:
04-5:18 And
the priest shall set the woman before the LORD,
and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands,
which is the jealousy offering: and
the priest shall have in his hand the bitter
water that causeth the curse:
04-5:19 And
the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say
unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside
to uncleanness with another instead
of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:
04-5:21 Then
the priest shall charge the woman with an oath
of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the
woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD
doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;
04-5:23 And
the priest shall write these curses in a book,
and he shall blot them out with the
bitter water:
04-5:25 Then
the priest shall take the jealousy offering out
of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it
upon the altar:
04-5:26 And
the priest shall take an handful of the offering,
even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall
cause the woman to drink the water.
04-5:30 Or
when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife,
and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest
shall execute upon her all this law.
04-6:10 And
on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation:
04-6:11 And
the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering,
and the other for a burnt offering, and make an atonement for him, for that he
sinned by the dead, and shall hallow his head that same day.
04-6:16 And
the priest shall bring them before the LORD, and shall offer his sin offering, and his
burnt offering:
04-6:17 And
he shall offer the ram for a
sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, with the basket of unleavened
bread: the priest shall offer also his meat
offering, and his drink offering.
04-6:19 And
the priest shall take the sodden shoulder of the
ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and
shall put them upon the hands of the
Nazarite, after the hair of his
separation is shaven:
04-6:20 And
the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD: this is holy for the priest, with the
wave breast and heave shoulder: and after that the Nazarite may drink wine.
04-7:8 And
four wagons and eight oxen he gave unto the sons of Merari, according unto
their service, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
04-15:25 And
the priest shall make an atonement for all the
congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their
offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before
the LORD, for their ignorance:
04-15:28 And
the priest shall make an atonement for the soul
that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make
an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
04-16:37 Speak
unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that
he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder;
for they are hallowed.
04-16:39 And
Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith
they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:
04-18:28 Thus
ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which
ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the LORD’S
heave offering to Aaron the priest.
04-19:3 And
ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that
he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:
04-19:4 And
Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his
finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the
congregation seven times:
04-19:6 And
the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop,
and scarlet, and cast it into the
midst of the burning of the heifer.
04-19:7 Then
the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall
bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.
04-25:7 And
when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up
from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
04-25:11 Phinehas,
the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest,
hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for
my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
04-26:1 And
it came to pass after the plague, that the LORD spake unto Moses and unto
Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
04-26:3 And
Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them in
the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho,
saying,
04-26:63 These
are they that were numbered by Moses
and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the
children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
04-26:64 But
among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of
Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
04-27:2 And
they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest,
and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
04-27:19 And
set him before Eleazar the priest, and before
all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
04-27:21 And
he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who
shall ask counsel for him after the
judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his
word they shall come in, both he, and
all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
04-27:22 And
Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before
Eleazar the priest, and before all the
congregation:
04-31:6 And
Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every
tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,
to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.
04-31:12 And
they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar
the priest, and unto the congregation of the
children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.
04-31:13 And
Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the
princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.
04-31:21 And
Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war
which went to the battle, This is the
ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;
04-31:26 Take
the sum of the prey that was taken, both of
man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest,
and the chief fathers of the congregation:
04-31:29 Take
it of their half, and give it unto
Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.
04-31:31 And
Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD
commanded Moses.
04-31:41 And
Moses gave the tribute, which was the
LORD’S heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest,
as the LORD commanded Moses.
04-31:51 And
Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of
them, even all wrought jewels.
04-31:54 And
Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of
the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle
of the congregation, for a memorial
for the children of Israel before the LORD.
04-32:2 The
children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to
Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the
congregation, saying,
04-32:28 So
concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest,
and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children
of Israel:
04-33:38 And
Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the
commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the
children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.
04-34:17 These
are the names of the men which shall
divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest,
and Joshua the son of Nun.
04-35:25 And
the congregation shall deliver the slayer out of the hand of the revenger of
blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge,
whither he was fled: and he shall abide in it unto the death of the high priest, which was anointed with the holy oil.
04-35:28 Because
he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his
possession.
04-35:32 And
ye shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge,
that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.
05-17:12 And
the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD
thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away
the evil from Israel.
05-18:3 And
this shall be the priest’s due from the
people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.
05-20:2 And
it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,
05-26:3 And
thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in
those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I
am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.
05-26:4 And
the priest shall take the basket out of thine
hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.
06-14:1 And
these are the countries which the
children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of
the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for
inheritance to them.
06-17:4 And
they came near before Eleazar the priest, and
before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The LORD
commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore
according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the
brethren of their father.
06-19:51 These
are the inheritances, which Eleazar
the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the
heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an
inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of
the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.
06-20:6 And
he shall dwell in that city, until he stand before the congregation for
judgment, and until the death of the
high priest that shall be in those days: then shall
the slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto the
city from whence he fled.
06-21:1 Then
came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the
heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;
06-21:4 And
the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron
the priest, which
were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the
tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
06-21:13 Thus
they gave to the children of Aaron the priest
Hebron with her suburbs, to be a city
of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs,
06-22:13 And
the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of
Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the
son of Eleazar the priest,
06-22:30 And
when Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the
congregation and heads of the thousands of Israel which were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the
children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spake, it pleased them.
06-22:31 And
Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto
the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the children of
Manasseh, This day we perceive that the LORD is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass against
the LORD: now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the
LORD.
06-22:32 And
Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the
princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad,
out of the land of Gilead, unto the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel,
and brought them word again.
07-17:5 And
the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and
consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.
07-17:10 And
Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy
victuals. So the Levite went in.
07-17:12 And
Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.
07-17:13 Then
said Micah, Now know I that the LORD will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to
my priest.
07-18:4 And
he said unto them, Thus and thus dealeth Micah with me, and hath hired me, and
I am his priest.
07-18:6 And
the priest said unto them, Go in peace: before
the LORD is your way wherein ye go.
07-18:17 And
the five men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in thither, and took
the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and
the priest stood in the entering of the gate with
the six hundred men that were appointed
with weapons of war.
07-18:18 And
these went into Micah’s house, and fetched the carved image, the ephod, and the
teraphim, and the molten image. Then said the priest
unto them, What do ye?
07-18:19 And
they said unto him, Hold thy peace, lay thine hand upon thy mouth, and go with
us, and be to us a father and a priest: is it better for thee to be a priest unto the house of one man, or that thou be a priest unto a tribe and a family in Israel?
07-18:24 And
he said, Ye have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and ye are gone away: and what have I more?
and what is this that ye say unto me, What aileth thee?
07-18:27 And
they took the things which Micah had
made, and the priest which he had, and came unto
Laish, unto a people that were at
quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the
city with fire.
09-1:9 So
Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now
Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the
temple of the LORD.
09-2:11 And
Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the LORD
before Eli the priest.
09-2:14 And
he struck it into the pan, or kettle,
or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh, unto
all the Israelites that came thither.
09-2:15 Also
before they burnt the fat, the priest’s
servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but
raw.
09-2:28 And
did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine
altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the
house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
09-2:35 And
I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house;
and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.
09-14:3 And
Ahiah, the son of Ahitub, Ichabod’s brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of
Eli, the LORD’S priest in Shiloh, wearing an
ephod. And the people knew not that Jonathan was gone.
09-14:19 And
it came to pass, while Saul talked unto the priest,
that the noise that was in the host
of the Philistines went on and increased: and Saul said unto the priest, Withdraw thine hand.
09-14:36 And
Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, and spoil them until the
morning light, and let us not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatsoever
seemeth good unto thee. Then said the priest,
Let us draw near hither unto God.
09-21:1 Then
came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and
Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?
09-21:2 And
David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king
hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing
of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I
have appointed my servants to such
and such a place.
09-21:4 And
the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine
hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least
from women.
09-21:5 And
David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of
a truth women have been kept from us
about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are
holy, and the bread is in a manner
common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
09-21:6 So
the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but
the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day
when it was taken away.
09-21:9 And
the priest said, The sword of Goliath the
Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the
ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for
there is no other save that here. And
David said, There is none like that;
give it me.
09-22:11 Then
the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the
son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests
that were in Nob: and they came all
of them to the king.
09-23:9 And
David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to
Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.
09-30:7 And
David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s
son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the
ephod to David.
10-15:27 The
king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the
city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the
son of Abiathar.
11-1:7 And
he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest: and they following Adonijah helped him.
11-1:8 But
Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of
Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which
belonged to David, were not with
Adonijah.
11-1:19 And
he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all
the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest,
and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he not called.
11-1:25 For
he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in
abundance, and hath called all the king’s sons, and the captains of the host,
and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat
and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.
11-1:26 But
me, even me thy servant, and Zadok
the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and
thy servant Solomon, hath he not called.
11-1:32 And
king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and
Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the
king.
11-1:34 And
let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet
anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God
save king Solomon.
11-1:38 So
Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went
down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David’s mule, and brought him to
Gihon.
11-1:39 And
Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the
tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people
said, God save king Solomon.
11-1:42 And
while he yet spake, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came: and Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for
thou art a valiant man, and bringest
good tidings.
11-1:44 And
the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and
Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and
the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king’s mule:
11-1:45 And
Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have
anointed him king in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that
the city rang again. This is the
noise that ye have heard.
11-2:22 And
king Solomon answered and said unto his mother, And why dost thou ask Abishag
the Shunammite for Adonijah? ask for him the kingdom also; for he is mine elder brother; even for him, and
for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of
Zeruiah.
11-2:26 And
unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee
to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death,
because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because
thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.
11-2:27 So
Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest
unto the LORD; that he might fulfil the word of the LORD, which he spake
concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.
11-2:35 And
the king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his room over the host: and Zadok
the priest did the king put in the room of
Abiathar.
11-4:2 And
these were the princes which he had;
Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
12-11:9 And
the captains over the hundreds did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest
commanded: and they took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath,
with them that should go out on the sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.
12-11:10 And
to the captains over hundreds did the priest
give king David’s spears and shields, that were
in the temple of the LORD.
12-11:15 But
Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of
the hundreds, the officers of the host, and said unto them, Have her forth
without the ranges: and him that followeth her kill with the sword. For the priest had said, Let her not be slain in the house of
the LORD.
12-11:18 And
all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and brake it down; his
altars and his images brake they in pieces thoroughly, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. And the priest appointed officers over the house of the LORD.
12-12:2 And
Jehoash did that which was right in
the sight of the LORD all his days wherein Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
12-12:7 Then
king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and
the other priests,
and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore
receive no more money of your
acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.
12-12:9 But
Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a
hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one
cometh into the house of the LORD: and the priests
that kept the door put therein all the money that was brought into the house of the LORD.
12-12:10 And
it was so, when they saw that there was much money in the chest, that
the king’s scribe and the high priest came up,
and they put up in bags, and told the money that was found in the house of the
LORD.
12-16:10 And
king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and saw an
altar that was at Damascus: and king
Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of
the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.
12-16:11 And
Urijah the priest built an altar according to
all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it against
king Ahaz came from Damascus.
12-16:15 And
king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying,
Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat
offering, and the king’s burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt
offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their
drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and
all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire
by.
12-16:16 Thus
did Urijah the priest, according to all that
king Ahaz commanded.
12-22:4 Go
up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum
the silver which is brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of
the door have gathered of the people:
12-22:8 And
Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the
scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah
gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.
12-22:10 And
Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the
king.
12-22:12 And
the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and
Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the
scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king’s, saying,
12-22:14 So
Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and
Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the
son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in
Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.
12-23:4 And
the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and
the priests of the second order, and the
keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the
vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of
heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and
carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.
12-23:24 Moreover
the workers with familiar spirits,
and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that
were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he
might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah
the priest found in the house of the LORD.
12-25:18 And
the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest,
and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three
keepers of the door:
13-16:39 And
Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the
high place that was at Gibeon,
13-24:6 And
Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one
of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being
taken for Eleazar, and one taken for
Ithamar.
13-27:5 The
third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, a chief priest:
and in his course were twenty and
four thousand.
13-29:22 And
did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they
made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.
14-13:9 Have
ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the
sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests
after the manner of the nations of other lands?
so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven
rams, the same may be a priest of them
that are no gods.
14-15:3 Now
for a long season Israel hath been without
the true God, and without a teaching priest, and
without law.
14-19:11 And,
behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the LORD; and
Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the
king’s matters: also the Levites shall be
officers before you. Deal courageously, and the LORD shall be with the
good.
14-22:11 But
Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and
stole him from among the king’s sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse
in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of
Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of
Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.
14-23:8 So
the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that
were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go out on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest
dismissed not the courses.
14-23:9 Moreover
Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of
hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David’s, which were
in the house of God.
14-23:14 Then
Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of
hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the
ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Slay her not in the house of the LORD.
14-23:17 Then
all the people went to the house of Baal, and brake it down, and brake his
altars and his images in pieces, and slew Mattan the priest
of Baal before the altars.
14-24:2 And
Joash did that which was right in the
sight of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest.
14-24:20 And
the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto
them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye
cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
14-24:25 And
when they were departed from him, (for they left him in great diseases,) his
own servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and slew him on his bed, and he died: and they
buried him in the city of David, but they buried him not in the sepulchres of
the kings.
14-26:17 And
Azariah the priest went in after him, and with
him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men:
14-26:20 And
Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they
thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the
LORD had smitten him.
14-31:10 And
Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok
answered him, and said, Since the people began
to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat,
and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is
left is this great store.
14-34:9 And
when they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they
delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites
that kept the doors had gathered of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of
all the remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin; and they returned to
Jerusalem.
14-34:14 And
when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the LORD,
Hilkiah the priest found a book of the law of
the LORD given by Moses.
14-34:18 Then
Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest
hath given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
15-2:63 And
the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things,
till there stood up a priest with Urim and with
Thummim.
15-7:5 The
son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the
chief priest:
15-7:11 Now
this is the copy of the letter that
the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest,
the scribe, even a scribe of the
words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel.
15-7:12 Artaxerxes,
king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of
the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace,
and at such a time.
15-7:21 And
I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do
make a decree to all the treasurers which are
beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest,
the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done
speedily,
15-8:33 Now
on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the
house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui,
Levites;
15-10:10 And
Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye
have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of
Israel.
15-10:16 And
the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest,
with certain chief of the fathers,
after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the
tenth month to examine the matter.
16-3:1 Then
Eliashib the high priest rose up with his
brethren the priests, and they builded the
sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower
of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel.
16-3:20 After
him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired the other piece, from the
turning of the wall unto the door of
the house of Eliashib the high priest.
16-7:65 And
the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things,
till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
16-8:2 And
Ezra the priest brought the law before the
congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding,
upon the first day of the seventh month.
16-8:9 And
Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and
Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that
taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the
people wept, when they heard the words of the law.
16-10:38 And
the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the
Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe
of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure
house.
16-12:26 These
were in the days of Joiakim the son
of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of
Ezra the priest, the scribe.
16-13:4 And
before this, Eliashib the priest, having the
oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, was allied unto Tobiah:
16-13:13 And
I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest,
and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of
Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren.
16-13:28 And
one of the sons of Joiada, the son of
Eliashib the high priest, was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite: therefore I chased him
from me.
19-110:4 The
LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art
a priest for ever after the order of
Melchizedek.
23-8:2 And
I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest,
and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.
23-24:2 And
it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest;
as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her
mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with
the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
23-28:7 But
they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way;
the priest and the prophet have erred through
strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through
strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
24-6:13 For
from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the
prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth
falsely.
24-8:10 Therefore
will I give their wives unto others, and their
fields to them that shall inherit them: for
every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from
the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth
falsely.
24-14:18 If
I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter
into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the
prophet and the priest go about into a land that
they know not.
24-18:18 Then
said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall
not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the
wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the
tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
24-20:1 Now
Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who was also chief governor in the house of
the LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things.
24-21:1 The
word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when king Zedekiah sent unto him
Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,
24-23:11 For
both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my
house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.
24-23:33 And
when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall
ask thee, saying, What is the burden
of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake
you, saith the LORD.
24-23:34 And
as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of
the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.
24-29:25 Thus
speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent
letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests,
saying,
24-29:26 The
LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of
Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers
in the house of the LORD, for every man that
is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in
prison, and in the stocks.
24-29:29 And
Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the
ears of Jeremiah the prophet.
24-37:3 And
Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of
Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah,
saying, Pray now unto the LORD our God for us.
24-52:24 And
the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest,
and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three
keepers of the door:
25-2:6 And
he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the
assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten
in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.
25-2:20 Behold,
O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their
fruit, and children of a span long?
shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the
sanctuary of the Lord?
26-1:3 The
word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest,
the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand
of the LORD was there upon him.
26-7:26 Mischief
shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek
a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.
26-44:13 And
they shall not come near unto me, to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, in the
most holy place: but they shall bear
their shame, and their abominations which they have committed.
26-44:21 Neither
shall any priest drink wine, when they enter
into the inner court.
26-44:22 Neither
shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away: but they
shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had a priest before.
26-44:30 And
the first of all the firstfruits of all things,
and every oblation of all, of every sort
of your oblations, shall be the priest’s:
ye shall also give unto the priest the first of
your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.
26-45:19 And
the priest shall take of the blood of the sin
offering, and put it upon the posts
of the house, and upon the four corners of the settle of the altar, and upon
the posts of the gate of the inner court.
28-4:4 Yet
let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.
28-4:6 My
people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge,
I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest
to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy
children.
28-4:9 And
there shall be, like people, like priest: and I
will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.
30-7:10 Then
Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam
king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the
house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.
37-1:1 In
the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the
month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son
of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
37-1:12 Then
Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the
voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD
their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
37-1:14 And
the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of
Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the
people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their
God,
37-2:2 Speak
now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the
son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the
residue of the people, saying,
37-2:4 Yet
now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of
Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye
people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:
38-3:1 And
he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before
the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
38-3:8 Hear
now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy
fellows that sit before thee: for they are
men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
38-6:11 Then
take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
38-6:13 Even
he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall
sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest
upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
40-8:4 And
Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the
priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded,
for a testimony unto them.
40-26:3 Then
assembled together the chief priests, and
the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
40-26:57 And
they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away
to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes
and the elders were assembled.
40-26:62 And
the high priest arose, and said unto him,
Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these
witness against thee?
40-26:63 But
Jesus held his peace. And the high priest
answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us
whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
40-26:65 Then
the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He
hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have
heard his blasphemy.
41-1:44 And
saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself
to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those
things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
41-2:26 How
he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful
to eat but for the priests, and gave also to
them which were with him?
41-14:47 And
one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
41-14:53 And
they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with
him were assembled all the chief priests and
the elders and the scribes.
41-14:54 And
Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed
himself at the fire.
41-14:60 And
the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked
Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is
it which these witness against thee?
41-14:61 But
he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son
of the Blessed?
41-14:63 Then
the high priest rent his clothes, and saith,
What need we any further witnesses?
41-14:66 And
as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
42-1:5 There
was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her
name was Elisabeth.
42-5:14 And
he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as
Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
42-10:31 And
by chance there came down a certain priest that
way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
42-22:50 And
one of them smote the servant of the high priest,
and cut off his right ear.
43-11:49 And
one of them, named Caiaphas, being
the high priest that same year, said unto them,
Ye know nothing at all,
43-11:51 And
this spake he not of himself: but being high priest
that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
43-18:13 And
led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was
the high priest that same year.
43-18:15 And
Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another
disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest,
and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.
43-18:16 But
Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was
known unto the high priest, and spake unto her
that kept the door, and brought in Peter.
43-18:19 The
high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples,
and of his doctrine.
43-18:22 And
when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with
the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest
so?
43-18:24 Now
Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.
43-18:26 One
of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off,
saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?
44-4:6 And
Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John,
and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
44-5:17 Then
the high priest rose up, and all they that were
with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with
indignation,
44-5:21 And
when they heard that, they entered
into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called
the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to
the prison to have them brought.
44-5:24 Now
when the high priest and the captain of the temple
and the chief priests heard these things,
they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
44-5:27 And
when they had brought them, they set them
before the council: and the high priest
asked them,
44-7:1 Then
said the high priest, Are these things so?
44-9:1 And
Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the
Lord, went unto the high priest,
44-14:13 Then
the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city,
brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with
the people.
44-22:5 As
also the high priest doth bear me witness, and
all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the
brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto
Jerusalem, for to be punished.
44-23:2 And
the high priest Ananias commanded them that
stood by him to smite him on the mouth.
44-23:4 And
they that stood by said, Revilest thou God’s high priest?
44-23:5 Then
said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest:
for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.
44-24:1 And
after five days Ananias the high priest
descended with the elders, and with a
certain orator named Tertullus, who
informed the governor against Paul.
44-25:2 Then
the high priest and the chief of the Jews
informed him against Paul, and besought him,
58-2:17 Wherefore
in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining
to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
58-3:1 Wherefore,
holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High
Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
58-4:14 Seeing
then that we have a great high priest, that is
passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
58-4:15 For
we have not an high priest which cannot be
touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like
as we are, yet without sin.
58-5:1 For
every high priest taken from among men is
ordained for men in things pertaining to
God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
58-5:5 So
also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest;
but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
58-5:6 As
he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest
for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
58-5:10 Called
of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
58-6:20 Whither
the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus,
made an high priest for ever after the order of
Melchisedec.
58-7:1 For
this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the
most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and
blessed him;
58-7:3 Without
father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor
end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
58-7:11 If
therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood,
(for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and
not be called after the order of Aaron?
58-7:15 And
it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there
ariseth another priest,
58-7:17 For
he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
58-7:20 And
inasmuch as not without an oath he was
made priest:
58-7:21 (For
those priests were made without an oath; but
this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not
repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
58-7:26 For
such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled,
separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
58-8:1 Now
of the things which we have spoken this
is the sum: We have such an high priest, who
is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
58-8:3 For
every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and
sacrifices: wherefore it is of
necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
58-8:4 For
if he were on earth, he should not be a priest,
seeing that there are priests that offer
gifts according to the law:
58-9:7 But
