remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments,
which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

01-GENESIS
01-37:9 And
he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I
have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
05-DEUTERONOMY
05-4:19 And
lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them,
and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the
whole heaven.
05-17:3 And
hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not
commanded;
05-33:14 And
for the precious fruits brought forth by
the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
06-10:12 Then
spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites
before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand
thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the
valley of Ajalon.
06-10:13 And
the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until
the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still
in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
09-20:5 And
David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is
the new moon, and I should not fail to sit
with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto
the third day at even.
09-20:18 Then
Jonathan said to David, To morrow is the
new moon: and thou shalt be missed, because thy
seat will be empty.
09-20:24 So
David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon
was come, the king sat him down to eat meat.
12-4:23 And
he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath.
And she said, It shall be well.
12-23:5 And
he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to
burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round
about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to
the moon, and to the planets, and to all the
host of heaven.
18-25:5 Behold
even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the
stars are not pure in his sight.
18-31:26 If
I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon
walking in brightness;
19-8:3 When
I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon
and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
19-72:5 They
shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon
endure, throughout all generations.
19-72:7 In
his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
19-81:3 Blow
up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time
appointed, on our solemn feast day.
19-89:37 It
shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
19-104:19 He
appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth
his going down.
19-121:6 The
sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by
night.
19-136:9 The
moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-148:3 Praise
ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars
of light.
21-12:2 While
the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the
stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:
22-6:10 Who
is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with
banners?
23-3:18 In
that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about
their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,
23-13:10 For
the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light:
the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon
shall not cause her light to shine.
23-24:23 Then
the moon shall be confounded, and the sun
ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem,
and before his ancients gloriously.
23-30:26 Moreover
the light of the moon shall be as the light of
the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven
days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth
the stroke of their wound.
23-60:19 The
sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto
thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
23-60:20 Thy
sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon
withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of
thy mourning shall be ended.
23-66:23 And
it shall come to pass, that from one
new moon to another, and from one sabbath to
another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24-8:2 And
they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon,
and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served,
and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have
worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung
upon the face of the earth.
24-31:35 Thus
saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and
of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves
thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his
name:
26-32:7 And
when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof
dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon
shall not give her light.
26-46:1 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east
shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and
in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.
26-46:6 And
in the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a
ram: they shall be without blemish.
29-2:10 The
earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their
shining:
29-2:31 The
sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon
into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
29-3:15 The
sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the
stars shall withdraw their shining.
30-8:5 Saying,
When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell
corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and
the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?
35-3:11 The
sun and moon
stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering
spear.
40-24:29 Immediately
after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall
fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
41-13:24 But in
those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
42-21:25 And there
shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and
in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea
and the waves roaring;
44-2:20 The sun
shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into
blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
46-15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and
another glory of the moon, and another glory of
the stars: for one star differeth
from another star in glory.
51-2:16 Let no
man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or
of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
66-6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the
sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as
sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
66-8:12 And the fourth angel sounded, and
the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third
part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and
the night likewise.
66-12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in
heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon
under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
66-21:23 And the city had no need of the sun,
neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the
glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is
the light thereof.

13-1 CHRONICLES
13-23:31 And
to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to
the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:
14-2 CHRONICLES
14-2:4 Behold,
I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual
shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths,
and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts
of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance
for ever to Israel.
14-8:13 Even
after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses,
on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on
the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even
in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the
feast of tabernacles.
14-31:3 He appointed also the king’s portion of
his substance for the burnt offerings, to
wit, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings
for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for
the set feasts, as it is written in
the law of the LORD.
15-3:5 And
afterward offered the continual burnt
offering, both of the new moons, and of all the
set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly
offered a freewill offering unto the LORD.
16-10:33 For
the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt
offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for
the set feasts, and for the holy things, and
for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
23-1:13 Bring
no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I
cannot away with; it is iniquity,
even the solemn meeting.
23-1:14 Your
new moons and your appointed feasts my soul
hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
26-45:17 And
it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt
offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the
new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all
solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the
meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make
reconciliation for the house of Israel.
26-46:3 Likewise
the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD
in the sabbaths and in the new moons.
28-2:11 I
will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

24-26:18 Micah
the Morasthite prophesied
in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah,
saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of
the house as the high places of a forest.
33-1:1 The
word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he
saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

15-2:2 Which
came with Zerubbabel: Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mizpar, Bigvai,
Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
16-7:7 Who
came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth,
Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say,
of the men of the people of Israel was
this;
17-2:5 Now in Shushan the palace there was a
certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son
of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;
17-2:7 And
he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther,
his uncle’s daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and
mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
17-2:10 Esther
had not shewed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not shew it.
17-2:11 And
Mordecai
walked every day before the court of the women’s house, to know how Esther did,
and what should become of her.
17-2:15 Now
when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his
daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai
the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained
favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
17-2:19 And
when the virgins were gathered together the second time, then Mordecai sat in the king’s gate.
17-2:20 Esther
had not yet shewed her kindred nor
her people; as Mordecai had
charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him.
17-2:21 In
those days, while Mordecai sat
in the king’s gate, two of the king’s chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of
those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king
Ahasuerus.
17-2:22 And
the thing was known to Mordecai,
who told it unto Esther the queen;
and Esther certified the king thereof in
Mordecai’s name.
17-3:2 And
all the king’s servants, that were in
the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded
concerning him. But Mordecai
bowed not, nor did him reverence.
17-3:3 Then
the king’s servants, which were in
the king’s gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king’s
commandment?
17-3:5 And
when Haman saw that Mordecai
bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.
17-3:6 And
he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to
destroy all the Jews that were throughout
the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the
people of Mordecai.
17-4:1 When
Mordecai
perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with
ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a
bitter cry;
17-4:4 So
Esther’s maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent
raiment to clothe Mordecai,
and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.
17-4:5 Then
called Esther for Hatach, one of the
king’s chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a
commandment to Mordecai, to
know what it was, and why it was.
17-4:6 So
Hatach went forth to Mordecai
unto the street of the city, which was before
the king’s gate.
17-4:7 And
Mordecai
told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that
Haman had promised to pay to the king’s treasuries for the Jews, to destroy
them.
17-4:9 And
Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.
17-4:10 Again
Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;
17-4:12 And
they told to Mordecai
Esther’s words.
17-4:13 Then
Mordecai
commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in
the king’s house, more than all the Jews.
17-4:15 Then
Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
17-4:17 So
Mordecai
went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
17-5:9 Then
went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king’s gate, that
he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.
17-5:13 Yet
all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.
17-5:14 Then
said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of
fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon:
then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased
Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.
17-6:2 And
it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the
king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the
king Ahasuerus.
17-6:3 And
the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the
king’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
17-6:4 And
the king said, Who is in the court?
Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king’s house, to speak unto
the king to hang Mordecai on
the gallows that he had prepared for him.
17-6:10 Then
the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take
the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at
the king’s gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.
17-6:11 Then
took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street
of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom
the king delighteth to honour.
17-6:12 And
Mordecai
came again to the king’s gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and
having his head covered.
17-6:13 And
Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his
wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom
thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely
fall before him.
17-7:9 And
Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the
gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in
the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.
17-7:10 So
they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath
pacified.
17-8:1 On
that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto
Esther the queen. And Mordecai
came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.
17-8:2 And
the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.
17-8:7 Then
the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house
of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand
upon the Jews.
17-8:9 Then
were the king’s scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and
twentieth day thereof; and it was
written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the
lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred
twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing
thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according
to their writing, and according to their language.
17-8:15 And
Mordecai
went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and
with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and
the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.
17-9:3 And
all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and
officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.
17-9:4 For
Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his
fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
17-9:20 And
Mordecai
wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king
Ahasuerus, both nigh and far,
17-9:23 And
the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written unto them;
17-9:29 Then
Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm
this second letter of Purim.
17-9:31 To
confirm these days of Purim in their times appointed,
according as Mordecai the
Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them, and as they had decreed for
themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry.
17-10:2 And
all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the
greatness of Mordecai,
whereunto the king advanced him, are they
not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
17-10:3 For
Mordecai the
Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and
great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking
the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.

them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s matters would stand: for he had told them
that he was a Jew.
