01-GENESIS
01-18:11 Now
Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the
manner of women.
01-18:25 That
be far from thee to do after this manner, to
slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the
wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
01-19:31 And
the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not
a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner
of all the earth:
01-25:23 And
the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in
thy womb, and two manner of people shall be
separated from thy bowels; and the one people
shall be stronger than the other people;
and the elder shall serve the younger.
01-32:19 And
so commanded he the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves,
saying, On this manner shall ye speak unto Esau,
when ye find him.
01-39:19 And
it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake
unto him, saying, After this manner did thy
servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.
01-40:13 Yet
within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy
place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
01-40:17 And
in the uppermost basket there was of
all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds
did eat them out of the basket upon my head.
01-45:23 And
to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of
Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by
the way.
02-1:14 And
they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in
all manner of service in the field: all their
service, wherein they made them serve, was
with rigour.
02-7:11 Then
Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt,
they also did in like manner with their
enchantments.
02-12:16 And
in the first day there shall be an
holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to
you; no manner of work shall be done in them,
save that which every man must eat,
that only may be done of you.
02-21:9 And
if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.
02-22:9 For
all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner
of lost thing, which another challengeth
to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he
shall pay double unto his neighbour.
02-23:11 But
the seventh year thou shalt let it
rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave
the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner
thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with
thy oliveyard.
02-31:3 And
I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and
in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
02-31:5 And
in cutting of stones, to set them, and
in carving of timber, to work in all manner of
workmanship.
02-35:29 The
children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and
woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner
of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.
02-35:31 And
he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in
knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;
02-35:33 And
in the cutting of stones, to set them, and
in carving of wood, to make any manner of
cunning work.
02-35:35 Them
hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner
of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer,
in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of
those that devise cunning work.
02-36:1 Then
wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put
wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner
of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had
commanded.
03-5:10 And
he shall offer the second for a burnt
offering, according to the manner: and the
priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he hath sinned, and it
shall be forgiven him.
03-7:23 Speak
unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall eat no manner
of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.
03-7:26 Moreover
ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in
any of your dwellings.
03-7:27 Whatsoever
soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from
his people.
03-9:16 And
he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.
03-11:27 And
whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner
of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth
their carcase shall be unclean until the even.
03-11:44 For
I am the LORD your God: ye shall
therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
03-14:54 This
is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall,
03-17:10 And
whatsoever man there be of the house
of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that
soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
03-17:14 For
it is the life of all flesh; the
blood of it is for the life thereof:
therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth
it shall be cut off.
03-19:23 And
when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the
fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto
you: it shall not be eaten of.
03-20:25 Ye
shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between
unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast,
or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing
that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.
03-23:31 Ye
shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all
your dwellings.
03-24:22 Ye
shall have one manner of law, as well for the
stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.
04-5:13 And
a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be
kept close, and she be defiled, and there
be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;
04-9:14 And
if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the
LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one
ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
04-15:13 All
that are born of the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a
sweet savour unto the LORD.
04-15:16 One
law and one manner shall be for you, and for the
stranger that sojourneth with you.
04-15:24 Then
it shall be, if ought be committed by
ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation
shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the
LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.
04-28:18 In
the first day shall be an holy
convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile
work therein:
04-28:24 After
this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the
seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the
LORD: it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink
offering.
04-29:6 Beside
the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt
offering, and his meat offering, and their drink offerings, according unto
their manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice
made by fire unto the LORD.
04-29:18 And
their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams,
and for the lambs, shall be according
to their number, after the manner:
04-29:21 And
their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams,
and for the lambs, shall be according
to their number, after the manner:
04-29:24 Their
meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for
the lambs, shall be according to
their number, after the manner:
04-29:27 And
their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams,
and for the lambs, shall be according
to their number, after the manner:
04-29:30 And
their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams,
and for the lambs, shall be according
to their number, after the manner:
04-29:33 And
their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams,
and for the lambs, shall be according
to their number, after the manner:
04-29:37 Their
meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullock, for the ram, and for
the lambs, shall be according to
their number, after the manner:
04-31:30 And
of the children of Israel’s half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the
persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites,
which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.
05-4:15 Take
ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner
of similitude on the day that the LORD
spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
05-15:2 And
this is the manner
of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought
unto his neighbour shall release it; he
shall not exact it of his neighbour,
or of his brother; because it is called the LORD’S release.
05-22:3 In
like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so
shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother’s, which
he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide
thyself.
05-27:21 Cursed
be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.
06-6:15 And
it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of
the day, and compassed the city after the same manner
seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times.
07-8:18 Then
said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of
men were they whom ye slew at Tabor?
And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the
children of a king.
07-11:17 Then
Israel sent messengers unto the king of Edom, saying, Let me, I pray thee, pass
through thy land: but the king of Edom would not hearken thereto. And in like manner they
sent unto the king of Moab: but he would not consent: and Israel abode in Kadesh.
07-18:7 Then
the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were therein, how they dwelt careless,
after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and
secure; and there was no magistrate
in the land, that might put them to
shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no
business with any man.
08-4:7 Now
this was the manner
in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for
to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a testimony in Israel.
09-8:9 Now
therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and
shew them the manner of the king that shall
reign over them.
09-8:11 And
he said, This will be the manner of the king
that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.
09-10:25 Then
Samuel told the people the manner of the
kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and
laid it up before the LORD. And
Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.
09-17:27 And
the people answered him after this manner,
saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.
09-17:30 And
he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the
former manner.
09-18:24 And
the servants of Saul told him, saying, On this manner
spake David.
09-19:24 And
he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that
night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul
also among the prophets?
09-21:5 And
David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three
days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day
in the vessel.
09-27:11 And
David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring tidings to Gath, saying, Lest they should tell on us, saying, So
did David, and so will be his manner all the while he dwelleth in the country of the
Philistines.
10-6:5 And
David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments
made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on
cornets, and on cymbals.
10-7:19 And
this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also
of thy servant’s house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord
GOD?
10-14:3 And
come to the king, and speak on this manner unto
him. So Joab put the words in her mouth.
10-15:6 And
on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that
came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of
Israel.
10-17:6 And
when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, Ahithophel
hath spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak thou.
11-7:28 And
the work of the bases was on this manner: they
had borders, and the borders were between
the ledges:
11-7:37 After
this manner
he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one size.
11-18:28 And
they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner
with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.
11-22:20 And
the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at
Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and
another said on that manner.
12-1:7 And
he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and
told you these words?
12-11:14 And
when she looked, behold, the king stood by a pillar, as the manner was, and
the princes and the trumpeters by the king, and all the people of the land
rejoiced, and blew with trumpets: and Athaliah rent her clothes, and cried,
Treason, Treason.
12-17:26 Wherefore
they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed,
and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner
of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold,
they slay them, because they know not the manner
of the God of the land.
12-17:27 Then
the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye
brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them
the manner of the God of the land.
12-17:33 They
feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner
of the nations whom they carried away from thence.
12-17:40 Howbeit
they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner.
13-6:48 Their
brethren also the Levites were appointed
unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of
the house of God.
13-12:37 And
on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the
half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of
instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
13-18:10 He
sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to
congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him;
(for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with
him all manner of vessels of gold and silver
and brass.
13-22:15 Moreover
there are workmen with thee in
abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.
13-23:29 Both
for the shewbread, and for the fine flour for meat offering, and for the
unleavened cakes, and for that which is
baked in the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size;
13-24:19 These
were the orderings of them in their
service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the LORD God of
Israel had commanded him.
13-28:14 He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of
all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all
instruments of every kind of service:
13-28:21 And,
behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of
God: and there shall be with thee for
all manner of workmanship every willing skilful
man, for any manner of service: also the princes
and all the people will be wholly at
thy commandment.
13-29:2 Now
I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the
silver for things of silver, and the
brass for things of brass, the iron
for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and
of divers colours, and all manner of precious
stones, and marble stones in abundance.
13-29:5 The
gold for things of gold, and the
silver for things of silver, and for
all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?
14-2:14 The
son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in
brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen,
and in crimson; also to grave any manner of
graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy
cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.
14-4:20 Moreover
the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold;
14-13:9 Have
ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites,
and have made you priests after the manner of
the nations of other lands? so that
whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.
14-18:19 And
the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall
at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner,
and another saying after that manner.
14-30:16 And
they stood in their place after their manner,
according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the
Levites.
14-32:15 Now
therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any
nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of
the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine
hand?
14-32:27 And
Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honour: and he made himself treasuries
for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for
shields, and for all manner of pleasant jewels;
14-32:28 Storehouses
also for the increase of corn, and wine, and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and cotes for flocks.
14-34:13 Also
they were over the bearers of
burdens, and were overseers of all
that wrought the work in any manner of service:
and of the Levites there were scribes,
and officers, and porters.
15-5:4 Then
said we unto them after this manner, What are
the names of the men that make this building?
16-6:4 Yet
they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the
same manner.
16-6:5 Then
sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner
the fifth time with an open letter in his hand;
16-8:18 Also
day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the
law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto
the manner.
16-10:37 And
that we should bring the firstfruits
of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner
of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of
our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites
might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.
16-13:15 In
those days saw I in Judah some treading
wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also
wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into
Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals.
16-13:16 There
dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children
of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
17-1:13 Then
the king said to the wise men, which knew the times, (for so was the king’s manner
toward all that knew law and judgment:
17-2:12 Now
when every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had
been twelve months, according to the manner of
the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh,
and six months with sweet odours, and with other
things for the purifying of the women;)
19-107:18 Their
soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw
near unto the gates of death.
19-144:13 That our garners may be full, affording all manner of
store: that our sheep may bring forth
thousands and ten thousands in our streets:
22-7:13 The
mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are
all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I
have laid up for thee, O my beloved.
23-5:17 Then
shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the
waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.
23-10:24 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not
afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his
staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
23-10:26 And
the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of
Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his
rod was upon the sea, so shall he
lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
23-51:6 Lift
up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens
shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and
they that dwell therein shall die in like manner:
but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be
abolished.
24-13:9 Thus
saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the
pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
24-22:21 I
spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou
saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy
manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my
voice.
24-30:18 Thus
saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and
have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own
heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner
thereof.
26-20:30 Wherefore
say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after
the manner of your fathers? and commit ye
whoredom after their abominations?
26-23:15 Girded
with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed attire upon their heads, all
of them princes to look to, after the manner of
the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land of their nativity:
26-23:45 And
the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner
of adulteresses, and after the manner of women
that shed blood; because they are adulteresses,
and blood is in their hands.
27-6:23 Then
was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel
up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed
in his God.
30-4:10 I
have sent among you the pestilence after the manner
of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your
horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils:
yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
30-8:14 They
that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never
rise up again.
40-4:23 And
Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the
gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of
sickness and all manner of disease among the
people.
40-5:11 Blessed
are ye, when men shall revile you,
and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
40-6:9 After
this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which
art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
40-8:27 But
the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is
this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
40-10:1 And
when he had called unto him his
twelve disciples, he gave them power against
unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner
of sickness and all manner of disease.
40-12:31 Wherefore
I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy
shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost
shall not be forgiven unto men.
41-4:41 And
they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner
of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
41-13:1 And
as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see
what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
41-13:29 So
ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things
come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at
the doors.
42-1:29 And
when she saw him, she was troubled at
his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of
salutation this should be.
42-1:66 And
all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the
Lord was with him.
42-6:23 Rejoice
ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner
did their fathers unto the prophets.
42-7:39 Now
when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it,
he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have
known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a
sinner.
42-8:25 And
he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying
one to another, What manner of man is this! for
he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
42-9:55 But
he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
42-11:42 But
woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love
of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
42-20:31 And
the third took her; and in like manner the seven
also: and they left no children, and died.
42-24:17 And
he said unto them, What manner of communications
are these that ye have one to
another, as ye walk, and are sad?
43-2:6 And
there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner
of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
43-7:36 What
manner of saying
is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye
cannot come?
43-19:40 Then
took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as
the manner of the Jews is to bury.
44-1:11 Which
also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same
Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
44-10:12 Wherein
were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the
earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
44-15:1 And
certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after
the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
44-15:23 And
they wrote letters by them after this
manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which
are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
44-17:2 And
Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and
three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
44-20:18 And
when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that
I came into Asia, after what manner I have been
with you at all seasons,
44-22:3 I
am verily a man which am a Jew, born
in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet
brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner
of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.
44-23:25 And
he wrote a letter after this manner:
44-25:16 To
whom I answered, It is not the manner of the
Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers
face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid
against him.
44-25:20 And
because I doubted of such manner of questions, I
asked him whether he would go to
Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters.
44-26:4 My
manner of life from my youth, which was at the
first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
45-6:19 I speak
after the manner of men because of the infirmity
of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and
to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to
righteousness unto holiness.
45-7:8 But sin,
taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner
of concupiscence. For without the law sin was
dead.
46-7:7 For
I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift
of God, one after this manner, and another after
that.
46-11:25 After
the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new
testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
46-15:32 If
after the manner of men I have fought with
beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and
drink; for to morrow we die.
47-7:9 Now
I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for
ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye
might receive damage by us in nothing.
48-2:14 But
when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel,
I said unto Peter before them all, If
thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of
Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as
do the Jews?
48-3:15 Brethren,
I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth,
or addeth thereto.
52-1:5 For
our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy
Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner
of men we were among you for your sake.
52-1:9 For
they themselves shew of us what manner of entering
in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and
true God;
54-2:9 In
like manner also, that women adorn themselves in
modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or
gold, or pearls, or costly array;
55-3:10 But
thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of
life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
58-10:25 Not
forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner
of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye
see the day approaching.
59-1:24 For
he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
60-1:11 Searching
what, or what manner of time the Spirit of
Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the
sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
60-1:15 But
as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
60-3:5 For
after this manner in the old time the holy women
also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their
own husbands:
61-3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of
persons ought ye to be in all holy
conversation and godliness,
62-3:1 Behold,
what manner of love the Father hath bestowed
upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth
us not, because it knew him not.
65-1:7 Even
as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and
going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the
vengeance of eternal fire.
66-11:5 And if
any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their
enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
66-18:12 The
merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine
linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass,
and iron, and marble,
66-21:19 And the
foundations of the wall of the city were garnished
with all manner of precious stones. The first
foundation was jasper; the second,
sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
66-22:2 In the
midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare
twelve manner
of fruits, and yielded her fruit
every month: and the leaves of the tree were
for the healing of the nations.

03-LEVITICUS
03-20:23 And
ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation,
which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore
I abhorred them.
12-2 KINGS
12-17:34 Unto
this day they do after the former manners: they
fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their
ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the
children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;
26-EZEKIEL
26-11:12 And
ye shall know that I am the LORD: for
ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done
after the manners of the heathen that are round about you.
44-ACTS
44-13:18 And
about the time of forty years suffered he their manners
in the wilderness.
46-1 CORINTHIANS
46-15:33 Be
not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
58-HEBREWS
58-1:1 God,
who at sundry times and in divers manners spake
in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

07-13:2 And
there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah;
and his wife was barren, and bare
not.
07-13:8 Then
Manoah intreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord, let
the man of God which thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we
shall do unto the child that shall be born.
07-13:9 And
God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the
angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was
not with her.
07-13:11 And
Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came
to the man, and said unto him, Art thou
the man that spakest unto the woman? And he said, I am.
07-13:12 And
Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass. How
shall we order the child, and how shall
we do unto him?
07-13:13 And
the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all
that I said unto the woman let her beware.
07-13:15 And
Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray
thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee.
07-13:16 And
the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though
thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt
offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah
knew not that he was an angel of the
LORD.
07-13:17 And
Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come
to pass we may do thee honour?
07-13:19 So
Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and
offered it upon a rock unto the LORD:
and the angel did wonderously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.
07-13:20 For
it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that
the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.
07-13:21 But
the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah
and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.
07-13:22 And
Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die,
because we have seen God.
07-16:31 Then
his brethren and all the house of his father came down, and took him, and
brought him up, and buried him
between Zorah and Eshtaol in the buryingplace of Manoah
his father. And he judged Israel twenty years.

02-EXODUS
02-20:10 But
the seventh day is the sabbath of the
LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do
any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant,
nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
02-20:17 Thou
shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s
wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant,
nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is
thy neighbour’s.
02-21:32 If
the ox shall push a manservant or a maidservant;
he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be
stoned.
05-5:14 But
the seventh day is the sabbath of the
LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do
any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant,
nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor
thy stranger that is within thy
gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant
may rest as well as thou.
05-5:21 Neither
shalt thou desire thy neighbour’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy
neighbour’s house, his field, or his manservant,
or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy
neighbour’s.
05-12:18 But
thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God
shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt
rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.
05-16:11 And
thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy
daughter, and thy manservant, and thy
maidservant, and the Levite that is within
thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the
LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
05-16:14 And
thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the
stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
18-31:13 If
I did despise the cause of my manservant or of
my maidservant, when they contended with me;
24-34:9 That
every man should let his manservant, and every
man his maidservant, being an Hebrew
or an Hebrewess, go free; that none should serve himself of them, to wit, of a Jew his brother.
24-34:10 Now
when all the princes, and all the people, which had entered into the covenant,
heard that every one should let his manservant,
and every one his maidservant, go free, that none should serve themselves of
them any more, then they obeyed, and let them
go.

Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to
me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him
with a mantle.
09-1 SAMUEL
09-15:27 And
as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.
09-28:14 And
he said unto her, What form is he of?
And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is
covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived
that it was Samuel, and he stooped
with his face to the ground, and
bowed himself.
11-19:13 And
it was so, when Elijah heard it that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of
the cave. And, behold, there came a
voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
11-19:19 So
he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before
him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.
12-2:8 And
Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and
they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
12-2:13 He
took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from
him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
12-2:14 And
he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him,
and smote the waters, and said, Where is the
LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither
and thither: and Elisha went over.
15-9:3 And
when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle,
and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied.
15-9:5 And
at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my
garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and
spread out my hands unto the LORD my God,
18-1:20 Then
Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his
head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
18-2:12 And
when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their
voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle,
and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven.
19-109:29 Let
mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with
their own confusion, as with a mantle.
