the earth, which were the work of the
hands of man.

provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands;
therefore my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched.

walls, and this work goeth fast on, and prospereth in their hands.
15-6:22 And
kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the LORD had made
them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to
strengthen their hands in the work of the house
of God, the God of Israel.
15-9:5 And
at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my
garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God,
15-10:19 And
they gave their hands that they would put away
their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for
their trespass.
16-2:18 Then
I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s
words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So
they strengthened their hands for this good work.
16-4:17 They
which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.
16-6:9 For
they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands
shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.
16-8:6 And
Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen,
with lifting up their hands: and they bowed
their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their
faces to the ground.
16-9:24 So
the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the
inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land,
that they might do with them as they would.
16-13:21 Then
I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if
ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.
17-3:6 And
he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone;
for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to
destroy all the Jews that were throughout
the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the
people of Mordecai.
17-3:9 If
it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will
pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands
of those that have the charge of the business, to bring it into the king’s treasuries.
17-9:16 But
the other Jews that were in the
king’s provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and
had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand,
but they laid not their hands on the prey,
18-1:10 Hast
not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he
hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands,
and his substance is increased in the land.
18-4:3 Behold,
thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.
18-5:12 He
disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands
cannot perform their enterprise.
18-5:18 For
he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands
make whole.
18-9:30 If
I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands
never so clean;
18-10:3 Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest
oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands,
and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?
18-10:8 Thine
hands have made me and fashioned me together
round about; yet thou dost destroy me.
18-11:13 If
thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands
toward him;
18-14:15 Thou
shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of
thine hands.
18-16:11 God
hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.
18-16:17 Not
for any injustice in mine hands: also my prayer is pure.
18-17:3 Lay
down now, put me in a surety with thee; who is
he that will strike hands with me?
18-17:9 The
righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
18-20:10 His
children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands
shall restore their goods.
18-22:30 He
shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness
of thine hands.
18-27:23 Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
18-30:2 Yea,
whereto might the strength of their hands profit me,
in whom old age was perished?
18-31:7 If
my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and
if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands;
18-34:19 How much less to him that accepteth not
the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all
are the work of his hands.
18-34:37 For
he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth
his words against God.
19-7:3 O
LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
19-8:6 Thou
madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands;
thou hast put all things under his
feet:
19-9:16 The
LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared
in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
19-18:20 The
LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of
my hands hath he recompensed me.
19-18:24 Therefore
hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the
cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
19-18:34 He
teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel
is broken by mine arms.
19-22:16 For
dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they
pierced my hands and my feet.
19-24:4 He
that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who
hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
19-26:6 I
will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I
compass thine altar, O LORD:
19-26:10 In
whose hands is
mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
19-28:2 Hear
the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
19-28:4 Give
them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their
endeavours: give them after the work of their hands;
render to them their desert.
19-28:5 Because
they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.
19-44:20 If
we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
19-47:1 O
clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God
with the voice of triumph.
19-55:20 He
hath put forth his hands against such as be at
peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
19-58:2 Yea,
in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
19-63:4 Thus
will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands
in thy name.
19-68:31 Princes
shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.
19-73:13 Verily
I have cleansed my heart in vain, and
washed my hands in innocency.
19-76:5 The
stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of
might have found their hands.
19-78:72 So
he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the
skilfulness of his hands.
19-81:6 I
removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands
were delivered from the pots.
19-88:9 Mine
eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I
have stretched out my hands unto thee.
19-90:17 And
let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of
our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
19-91:12 They
shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
19-92:4 For
thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of
thy hands.
19-95:5 The
sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
19-98:8 Let
the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
19-102:25 Of
old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
19-111:7 The
works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
19-115:4 Their
idols are silver and gold, the work
of men’s hands.
19-115:7 They
have hands, but they handle not: feet have they,
but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
19-119:48 My
hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments,
which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
19-119:73 JOD. Thy hands
have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy
commandments.
19-125:3 For
the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the
righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
19-128:2 For
thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well
with thee.
19-134:2 Lift
up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.
19-135:15 The
idols of the heathen are silver and
gold, the work of men’s hands.
19-138:8 The
LORD will perfect that which concerneth
me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for
ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
19-140:4 Keep
me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked;
preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
19-141:2 Let
my prayer be set forth before thee as incense;
and the lifting up of my hands as the
evening sacrifice.
19-143:5 I
remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of
thy hands.
19-143:6 I
stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land.
Selah.
19-144:1 Blessed
be the LORD my strength, which
teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
20-6:10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a
little folding of the hands to sleep:
20-6:17 A
proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed
innocent blood,
20-12:14 A
man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands
shall be rendered unto him.
20-14:1 Every
wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
20-17:18 A
man void of understanding striketh hands, and becometh surety in the presence of
his friend.
20-21:25 The
desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands
refuse to labour.
20-22:26 Be
not thou one of them that strike hands, or of
them that are sureties for debts.
20-24:33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a
little folding of the hands to sleep:
20-30:28 The
spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in
kings’ palaces.
20-31:13 She
seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
20-31:16 She
considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
20-31:19 She
layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20-31:20 She
stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
20-31:31 Give
her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own
works praise her in the gates.
21-2:11 Then
I looked on all the works that my hands had
wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
21-4:5 The
fool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his
own flesh.
21-4:6 Better
is an handful with quietness, than both the hands
full with travail and vexation of
spirit.
21-5:6 Suffer
not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel,
that it was an error: wherefore
should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
21-7:26 And
I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her
hands as bands:
whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.
21-10:18 By
much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
22-5:5 I
rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands
dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the
handles of the lock.
22-5:14 His
hands are
as gold rings set with the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with
sapphires.
22-7:1 How
beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince’s daughter! the joints of thy
thighs are like jewels, the work of the
hands of a cunning workman.
23-1:15 And
when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide
mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
23-2:8 Their
land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
23-3:11 Woe
unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
23-5:12 And
the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts:
but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his
hands.
23-13:7 Therefore
shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart
shall melt:
23-17:8 And
he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands,
neither shall respect that which his
fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.
23-19:25 Whom
the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
23-25:11 And
he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of
them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his
hands to swim: and he shall bring down their
pride together with the spoils of their hands.
23-29:23 But
when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands,
in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of
Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
23-31:7 For
in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of
gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
23-33:15 He
that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of
oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding
of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes
from seeing evil;
23-35:3 Strengthen
ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
23-37:19 And
have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands,
wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.
23-45:9 Woe
unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let
the potsherd strive with the
potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What
makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
23-45:11 Thus
saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come
concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands
command ye me.
23-45:12 I
have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out
the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
23-49:16 Behold,
I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are
continually before me.
23-55:12 For
ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the
hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field
shall clap their hands.
23-59:3 For
your hands are defiled with blood, and your
fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered
perverseness.
23-59:6 Their
webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their
works: their works are works of
iniquity, and the act of violence is in
their hands.
23-60:21 Thy
people also shall be all righteous:
they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my
hands, that I may be glorified.
23-65:2 I
have spread out my hands all the day unto a
rebellious people, which walketh in a way that
was not good, after their own thoughts;
23-65:22 They
shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat:
for as the days of a tree are the
days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
24-1:16 And
I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have
forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works
of their own hands.
24-2:37 Yea,
thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands
upon thine head: for the LORD hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not
prosper in them.
24-4:31 For
I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the
voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth
herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe
is me now! for my soul is wearied
because of murderers.
24-6:24 We
have heard the fame thereof: our hands wax
feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, and
pain, as of a woman in travail.
24-10:3 For
the customs of the people are vain:
for one cutteth a tree out of the
forest, the work of the hands of the workman,
with the ax.
24-10:9 Silver
spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of
the workman, and of the hands of the founder:
blue and purple is their clothing:
they are all the work of cunning men.
24-19:7 And
I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will
cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their
carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts
of the earth.
24-21:4 Thus
saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands,
wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I
will assemble them into the midst of this city.
24-23:14 I
have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit
adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands
of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them
unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
24-25:6 And
go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not
to anger with the works of your hands; and I
will do you no hurt.
24-25:7 Yet
ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD; that ye might provoke me to
anger with the works of your hands to your own
hurt.
24-25:14 For
many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will
recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their
own hands.
24-30:6 Ask
ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every
man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in
travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
24-32:30 For
the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me
from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger
with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.
24-33:13 In
the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of
the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and
in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.
24-38:4 Therefore
the princes said unto the king, We beseech thee, let this man be put to death: for
thus he weakeneth the hands of the men of war
that remain in this city, and the hands of all
the people, in speaking such words unto them: for this man seeketh not the
welfare of this people, but the hurt.
24-44:8 In
that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands,
burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to
dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a
reproach among all the nations of the earth?
24-47:3 At
the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back
to their children for feebleness of hands;
24-48:37 For
every head shall be bald, and every
beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins
sackcloth.
24-50:43 The
king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands
waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and
pangs as of a woman in travail.
25-1:14 The
yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: he hath made
my strength to fall, the Lord hath delivered me into their hands, from whom I am not able to rise up.
25-1:17 Zion
spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded
concerning Jacob, that his
adversaries should be round about
him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.
25-2:15 All
that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and wag their head at the
daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this
the city that men call The perfection
of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?
25-2:19 Arise,
cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like
water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands
toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top
of every street.
25-3:41 Let
us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
25-3:64 Render
unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.
25-4:2 The
precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as
earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the
potter!
25-4:6 For
the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the
punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.
25-4:10 The
hands of the pitiful women have sodden their own
children: they were their meat in the destruction of the daughter of my people.
26-1:8 And
they had the hands
of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces
and their wings.
26-7:17 All
hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be
weak as water.
26-7:21 And
I will give it into the hands of the strangers
for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute
it.
26-7:27 The
king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I
will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge
them; and they shall know that I am the
LORD.
26-10:7 And
one cherub stretched forth his hand
from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into
the hands of him
that was clothed with linen: who took it,
and went out.
26-10:12 And
their whole body, and their backs, and their hands,
and their wings, and the wheels, were full
of eyes round about, even the wheels
that they four had.
26-10:21 Every
one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was
under their wings.
26-11:9 And
I will bring you out of the midst thereof, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among
you.
26-13:22 Because
with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made
sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked,
that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
26-16:11 I
decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
26-21:7 And
it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt
answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all
hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall
faint, and all knees shall be weak as water:
behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.
26-21:14 Thou
therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine
hands together, and let the sword be doubled
the third time, the sword of the slain: it is
the sword of the great men that are slain,
which entereth into their privy chambers.
26-21:17 I
will also smite mine hands together, and I will
cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said it.
26-22:14 Can
thine heart endure, or can thine hands be
strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.
26-23:37 That
they have committed adultery, and blood is
in their hands, and with their idols have
they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto
me, to pass for them through the fire, to
devour them.
26-23:42 And
a voice of a multitude being at ease was with
her: and with the men of the common sort were
brought Sabeans from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
26-23:45 And
the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and
after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is
in their hands.
26-25:6 For
thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the
feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel;
27-2:34 Thou
sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands,
which smote the image upon his feet that
were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
27-2:45 Forasmuch
as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the
brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the
king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
27-3:15 Now
if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp,
sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and
worship the image which I have made; well:
but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a
burning fiery furnace; and who is that
God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
27-10:10 And,
behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
28-14:3 Asshur
shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more
to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.
31-1:13 Thou
