17-3:1 After
these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite,
and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.
17-3:2 And
all the king’s servants, that were in
the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded
concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.
17-3:4 Now
it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto
them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s matters
would stand: for he had told them that he was
a Jew.
17-3:5 And
when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him
reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.
17-3:6 And
he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the
people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews
that were throughout the whole
17-3:7 In
the first month, that is, the month
Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month
Adar.
17-3:8 And
Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain
people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of
thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse
from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer
them.
17-3:10 And
the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammedatha the
Agagite, the Jews’ enemy.
17-3:11 And
the king said unto Haman, The silver is
given to thee, the people also, to do with them as it seemeth good to thee.
17-3:12 Then
were the king’s scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and
there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king’s
lieutenants, and to the governors that were
over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province
according to the writing thereof, and to every
people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and
sealed with the king’s ring.
17-3:15 The
posts went out, being hastened by the king’s commandment, and the decree was
given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the
city Shushan was perplexed.
17-4:7 And
Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the
money that Haman had promised to pay to the king’s treasuries for
the Jews, to destroy them.
17-5:4 And
Esther answered, If it seem good unto
the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet
that I have prepared for him.
17-5:5 Then
the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as
Esther hath said. So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther
had prepared.
17-5:8 If
I have found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to
grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for
them, and I will do to morrow as the king hath said.
17-5:9 Then
went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but
when Haman saw Mordecai in the king’s gate, that he stood
not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.
17-5:10 Nevertheless
Haman refrained himself: and when he came home, he sent
and called for his friends, and Zeresh his wife.
17-5:11 And
Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the
multitude of his children, and all the
things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above
the princes and servants of the king.
17-5:12 Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no
man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself;
and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king.
17-5:14 Then
said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of
fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be
hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the
thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.
17-6:4 And
the king said, Who is in the court?
Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king’s
house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had
prepared for him.
17-6:5 And
the king’s servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And
the king said, Let him come in.
17-6:6 So
Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall
be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king
delight to do honour more than to myself?
17-6:7 And
Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king
delighteth to honour,
17-6:10 Then
the king said to Haman, Make haste, and
take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to
Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king’s gate: let nothing fail of all that
thou hast spoken.
17-6:11 Then
took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai,
and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed
before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to
honour.
17-6:12 And
Mordecai came again to the king’s gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning,
and having his head covered.
17-6:13 And
Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said
his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall,
thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.
17-6:14 And
while they were yet talking with him,
came the king’s chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther
had prepared.
17-7:1 So
the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.
17-7:6 And
Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this
wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the
queen.
17-7:7 And
the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for
his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against
him by the king.
17-7:8 Then
the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of
wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force
the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king’s
mouth, they covered Haman’s face.
17-7:9 And
Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the
gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had
spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him
thereon.
17-7:10 So
they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai.
Then was the king’s wrath pacified.
17-8:1 On
that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto Esther
the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.
17-8:2 And
the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai.
And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.
17-8:3 And
Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought
him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device
that he had devised against the Jews.
17-8:5 And
said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the
thing seem right before the king, and
I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be
written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the
Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king’s provinces:
17-8:7 Then
the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold,
I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the
gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.
17-9:10 The
ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews,
slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.
17-9:12 And
the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five
hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the
rest of the king’s provinces? now what is
thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: or what is thy request further? and it shall be done.
17-9:24 Because
Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of
all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur,
that is, the lot, to consume them,
and to destroy them;

17-9:13 Then
said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do to morrow also
according unto this day’s decree, and let Haman’s ten sons be
hanged upon the gallows.
17-9:14 And
the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and
they hanged Haman’s ten sons.

mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.
07-3:3 Namely, five lords of the Philistines,
and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount
Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath.
10-8:9 When
Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of
Hadadezer,
11-8:65 And
at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great
congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the
LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even
fourteen days.
12-14:25 He
restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain,
according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of
his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher.
12-14:28 Now

warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book
of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
12-17:24 And
the king of Assyria brought men from
Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and
placed them in the cities of Samaria
instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the
cities thereof.
12-17:30 And
the men of Babylon made Succothbenoth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the
men of Hamath made Ashima,
12-18:34 Where
are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered
Samaria out of mine hand?
12-19:13 Where
is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city
of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivah?
12-23:33 And
Pharaohnechoh put him in bands at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in
Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of an hundred talents of silver, and a
talent of gold.
12-25:21 And
the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
13-18:3 And
David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his
dominion by the river Euphrates.
13-18:9 Now
when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of
Hadarezer king of Zobah;
14-7:8 Also
at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a
very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
14-8:4 And
he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
23-10:9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?
23-11:11 And
it shall come to pass in that day, that the
Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his
people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and
from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the
sea.
23-36:19 Where
are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of
my hand?
23-37:13 Where
is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arphad, and the king of the
city of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah?
24-39:5 But
the Chaldeans’ army pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho:
and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of
Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gave judgment upon him.
24-49:23 Concerning
Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard
evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there
is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
24-52:9 Then
they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in
the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.
24-52:27 And
the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his
own land.
26-47:16 Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazarhatticon, which is by the coast of Hauran.
26-47:17 And
the border from the sea shall be Hazarenan, the border of Damascus, and the
north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.
26-47:20 The
west side also shall be the great sea
from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side.
26-48:1 Now
these are the names of the tribes. From
the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazarenan, the border of Damascus northward, to
the coast of Hamath; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for Dan.
30-6:2 Pass
ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath
of the Philistines: be they better
than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?

Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon,
though it be very wise.

16-8:7 Also
Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah,
Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused
the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.
16-10:10 And
their brethren, Shebaniah, Hodijah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,
16-10:22 Pelatiah,
Hanan, Anaiah,
16-10:26 And
Ahijah, Hanan, Anan,
16-13:13 And
I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the
scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they
were counted faithful, and their office was
to distribute unto their brethren.
24-35:4 And
I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which
was above the chamber of Maaseiah the
son of Shallum, the keeper of the door:

16-3:1 Then
Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they
builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even
unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel.
16-12:39 And
from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish
gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even
unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.
24-31:38 Behold,
the days come, saith the LORD, that the city shall be built to the LORD from
the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner.
38-14:10 All
the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and
it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto
the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.

11-16:1 Then
the word of the LORD came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,
11-16:7 And
also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD against
Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight
of the LORD, in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being
like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him.
13-25:4 Of
Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth,
Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah,
Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth:
13-25:25 The
eighteenth to Hanani, he, his
sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
14-16:7 And
at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto
him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD
thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
14-19:2 And
Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king
Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD?
therefore is wrath upon thee from
before the LORD.
14-20:34 Now
the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son
of Hanani, who is mentioned
in the book of the kings of Israel.
15-10:20 And
of the sons of Immer; Hanani, and Zebadiah.
16-1:2 That
Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them
concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and
concerning Jerusalem.
16-7:2 That
I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge
over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful
man, and feared God above many.
16-12:36 And
his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and
Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man
of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.

13-3:19 And
the sons of Pedaiah were, Zerubbabel,
and Shimei: and the sons of Zerubbabel; Meshullam, and Hananiah, and Shelomith their
sister:
13-3:21 And
the sons of Hananiah; Pelatiah, and Jesaiah: the sons of Rephaiah,
the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shechaniah.
13-8:24 And
Hananiah, and Elam, and Antothijah,
13-25:4 Of
Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer,
Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth:
13-25:23 The
sixteenth to Hananiah, he, his
sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
14-26:11 Moreover
Uzziah had an host of fighting men, that went out to war by bands, according to
the number of their account by the hand of Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the
ruler, under the hand of Hananiah, one of the king’s captains.
15-10:28 Of
the sons also of Bebai; Jehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, and Athlai.
16-3:8 Next
unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths. Next unto him
also repaired Hananiah the son of one
of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem unto the broad wall.
16-3:30 After
him repaired Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son
of Zalaph, another piece. After him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah
over against his chamber.
16-7:2 That
I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge
over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful
man, and feared God above many.
16-10:23 Hoshea,
Hananiah, Hashub,
16-12:12 And
in the days of Joiakim were priests, the chief of the fathers: of Seraiah,
Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
16-12:41 And
the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
24-28:1 And
it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king
of Judah, in the fourth year, and in
the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the
house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people,
saying,
24-28:5 Then
the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests,
and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD,
24-28:10 Then
Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet
Jeremiah’s neck, and brake it.
24-28:11 And
Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people,
saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king
of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And
the prophet Jeremiah went his way.
24-28:12 Then
the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the
prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke
from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,
24-28:13 Go
and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast broken
the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.
24-28:15 Then
said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest
this people to trust in a lie.
24-28:17 So
Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh
month.
24-36:12 Then
he went down into the king’s house, into the scribe’s chamber: and, lo, all the
princes sat there, even Elishama the
scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and
Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.
24-37:13 And
when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the ward was there, whose name was Irijah,
the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he took Jeremiah the
prophet, saying, Thou fallest away to the Chaldeans.
27-1:6 Now
among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
27-1:7 Unto
whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and
to Azariah, of Abednego.
27-1:11 Then
said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
27-1:19 And
the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they
before the king.
27-2:17 Then
Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his
companions:
