01-1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and
the lesser light to rule the night: he
made the stars also.
01-1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth,
which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged
fowl after his kind: and God saw that it
was good.
01-6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of
man was great
in the earth, and that every
imagination of the thoughts of his heart was
only evil continually.
01-7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s
life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were
all the fountains of the great deep broken up,
and the windows of heaven were opened.
01-10:12 And Resen between
01-12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name
great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
01-12:17 And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his
house with great plagues because of Sarai
Abram’s wife.
01-13:6 And the land was not able to bear
them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
01-15:1 After these things the word of the
LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
01-15:12 And when the sun was going down, a
deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great
darkness fell upon him.
01-15:14 And also that nation, whom they shall
serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
01-15:18 In the same day the LORD made a
covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the
01-17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard
thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply
him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
01-18:18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely
become a great and mighty nation, and all the
nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
01-18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of
01-19:11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with
blindness, both small and great: so that they
wearied themselves to find the door.
01-19:13 For we will destroy this place,
because the cry of them is waxen great before
the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.
01-20:9 Then Abimelech called Abraham, and
said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that
thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great
sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
01-21:8 And the child grew, and was weaned:
and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.
01-21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him
in thine hand; for I will make him a great
nation.
01-24:35 And the LORD hath blessed my master
greatly; and he is become great: and he hath
given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and
maidservants, and camels, and asses.
01-26:13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very
great:
01-26:14 For he had possession of flocks, and
possession of herds, and great store of
servants: and the Philistines envied him.
01-27:34 And when Esau heard the words of his
father, he cried with a great and exceeding
bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.
01-29:2 And he looked, and behold a well in
the field, and, lo, there were three
flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and
a great stone was upon the well’s mouth.
01-30:8 And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I
have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.
01-39:9 There
is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing
from me but thee, because thou art his
wife: how then can I do this great wickedness,
and sin against God?
01-41:29 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the
01-45:7 And God sent me before you to
preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
01-46:3 And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into
01-48:19 And his father refused, and said, I
know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and
he also shall be great: but truly his younger
brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of
nations.
01-50:9 And there went up with him both
chariots and horsemen: and it was a very great
company.
01-50:10 And they came to the threshingfloor
of Atad, which is beyond
02-3:3 And
Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great
sight, why the bush is not burnt.
02-6:6 Wherefore
say unto the children of
02-7:4 But
Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and
bring forth mine armies, and my
people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
02-11:3 And
the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man
Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s
servants, and in the sight of the people.
02-11:6 And
there shall be a great cry throughout all the
land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
02-11:8 And
all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto
me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I
will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great
anger.
02-12:30 And
Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians;
and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
02-14:31 And
Israel saw that great work which the LORD did
upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and
his servant Moses.
02-18:22 And
let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall
bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier
for thyself, and they shall bear the
burden with thee.
02-29:20 Then
shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the
right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood
upon the altar round about.
02-32:10 Now
therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may
consume them: and I will make of thee a great
nation.
02-32:11 And
Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot
against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with
great power, and with a mighty hand?
02-32:21 And
Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought
so great a sin upon them?
02-32:30 And
it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned
a great sin: and now I will go up unto the LORD;
peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin.
02-32:31 And
Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.
03-8:23 And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron’s right ear, and upon the thumb of his
right hand, and upon the great toe of his right
foot.
03-8:24 And he brought Aaron’s sons, and
Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of
their right hands, and upon the great toes of
their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.
03-11:17 And the little owl, and the
cormorant, and the great owl,
03-14:14 And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass
offering, and the priest shall put it upon
the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of
his right hand, and upon the great toe of his
right foot:
03-14:17 And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon
the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of
his right hand, and upon the great toe of his
right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:
03-14:25 And he shall kill the lamb of the
trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him
that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:
03-14:28 And the priest shall put of the oil
that is in his hand upon the tip of
the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right
hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot,
upon the place of the blood of the trespass offering:
04-11:33 And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was
chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD
smote the people with a very great plague.
04-13:28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and
the cities are walled, and very great:
and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
04-13:32 And they brought up an evil report of
the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land,
through which we have gone to search it, is
a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we
saw in it are men of a great stature.
04-14:17 And now, I beseech thee, let the
power of my LORD be great, according as thou
hast spoken, saying,
04-14:18 The LORD is longsuffering, and of great
mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
04-22:17 For I will promote thee unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever thou sayest
unto me: come therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people.
04-23:24 Behold, the people shall rise up as a
great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion:
he shall not lie down until he eat of the
prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
04-24:9 He couched, he lay down as a lion,
and as a great lion: who shall stir him up?
Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and
cursed is he that curseth thee.
04-24:11 Therefore now flee thou to thy place:
I thought to promote thee unto great honour;
but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.
04-32:1 Now the children of Reuben and the
children of Gad had a very great multitude of
cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that,
behold, the place was a place for
cattle;
04-34:6 And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west
border.
04-34:7 And this shall be your north border:
from the great sea ye shall point out for you
mount Hor:
05-1:7 Turn you, and take your journey,
and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale,
and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto
Lebanon, unto the great river, the river
Euphrates.
05-1:17 Ye shall not respect persons in
judgment; but ye shall hear the small
as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of
the face of man; for the judgment is God’s:
and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.
05-1:19 And when we departed from Horeb, we
went through all that great and terrible
wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the
LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea.
05-1:28 Whither shall we go up? our brethren
have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven;
and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.
05-2:7 For the LORD thy God hath blessed
thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked
nothing.
05-2:10 The Emims dwelt therein in times
past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the
Anakims;
05-2:21 A people great,
and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them;
and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:
05-3:5 All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and
bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.
05-4:6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations,
which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a
wise and understanding people.
05-4:7 For what nation is there so great,
who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we
call upon him for?
05-4:8 And what nation is there so great,
that hath statutes and judgments so righteous
as all this law, which I set before you this day?
05-4:32 For ask now of the days that are
past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the
earth, and ask from the one side of
heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?
05-4:34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by
signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out
arm, and by great terrors, according to all that
the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
05-4:36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear
his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the
midst of the fire.
05-5:22 These words the LORD spake unto all
your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of
the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he
added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them
unto me.
05-5:25 Now therefore why should we die? for
this great fire will consume us: if we hear the
voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.
05-6:10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy
God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to
Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great
and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
05-6:22 And the LORD shewed signs and
wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon
Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
05-7:19 The great
temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the
mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee
out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.
05-8:15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee
forth water out of the rock of flint;
05-9:1 Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go
in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
05-9:2 A people great
and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children
of Anak!
05-10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth
not persons, nor taketh reward:
05-10:21 He is thy praise, and he is thy
God, that hath done for thee these great and
terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
05-11:7 But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.
05-14:16 The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
05-18:16 According to all that thou desiredst
of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not
hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
05-25:13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers
weights, a great and a small.
05-25:14 Thou shalt not have in thine house
divers measures, a great and a small.
05-26:5 And thou shalt speak and say before
the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was
my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and
became there a nation, great, mighty, and
populous:
05-26:8 And the LORD brought us forth out of
Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:
05-27:2 And it shall be on the day when ye
shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that
thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister
them with plaister:
05-28:59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues
wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even
great plagues, and of long continuance, and
sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
05-29:3 The great
temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
05-29:24 Even all nations shall say, Wherefore
hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great
anger?
05-29:28 And the LORD rooted them out of their
land in anger, and in wrath, and in great
indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
05-34:12 And in all that mighty hand, and in
all the great terror which Moses shewed in the
sight of all Israel.
06-1:4 From the wilderness and this
Lebanon even unto the great river, the river
Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great
sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
06-6:5 And it shall come to pass, that
when they make a long blast with the
ram’s horn, and when ye hear the
sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the
people shall ascend up every man straight before him.
06-6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and
it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people
shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell
down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before
him, and they took the city.
06-7:9 For the Canaanites and all the
inhabitants of the land shall hear of it,
and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what
wilt thou do unto thy great name?
06-7:26 And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned
from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called,
The valley of Achor, unto this day.
06-8:29 And the king of Ai he hanged on a
tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that
they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of
the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great
heap of stones, that remaineth unto
this day.
06-9:1 And it came to pass, when all the
kings which were on this side Jordan,
in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the
Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;
06-10:2 That they feared greatly, because
Gibeon was a great
city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.
06-10:10 And the LORD discomfited them before
Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at
Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Bethhoron, and smote
them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.
06-10:11 And it came to pass, as they fled
from before Israel, and were in the
going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great
stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.
06-10:18 And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men
by it for to keep them:
06-10:20 And it came to pass, when Joshua and
the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the
rest which remained of them entered
into fenced cities.
06-10:27 And it came to pass at the time of
the going down of the sun, that Joshua
commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave
wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones
in the cave’s mouth, which remain until
this very day.
06-11:8 And the LORD delivered them into the
hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto great
Zidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and
they smote them, until they left them none remaining.
06-14:12 Now therefore give me this mountain,
whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the
Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will
be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.
06-14:15 And the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man among the
Anakims. And the land had rest from war.
06-15:12 And the west border was to the great
sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah
round about according to their families.
06-15:47 Ashdod with her towns and her
villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and
the great sea, and the border thereof:
06-17:14 And the children of Joseph spake unto
Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but
one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the
LORD hath blessed me hitherto?
06-17:15 And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great
people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there
in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow
for thee.
06-17:17 And Joshua spake unto the house of
Joseph, even to Ephraim and to
Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great
power: thou shalt not have one lot only:
06-19:28 And Hebron, and Rehob, and Hammon,
and Kanah, even unto great Zidon;
06-22:10 And when they came unto the borders
of Jordan, that are in the land of
Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of
Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great
altar to see to.
06-23:4 Behold, I have divided unto you by
lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from
Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward.
06-23:9 For the LORD hath driven out from
before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to
stand before you unto this day.
06-24:17 For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers
out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the
way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:
06-24:26 And Joshua wrote these words in the
book of the law of God, and took a great stone,
and set it up there under an oak, that was
by the sanctuary of the LORD.
07-1:6 But Adonibezek fled; and they
pursued after him, and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his great toes.
07-1:7 And Adonibezek said, Threescore and
ten kings, having their thumbs and their great
toes cut off, gathered their meat under
my table: as I have done, so God hath requited me. And they brought him to
Jerusalem, and there he died.
07-2:7 And the people served the LORD all
the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who
had seen all the great works of the LORD, that
he did for Israel.
07-5:15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and
also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great
thoughts of heart.
07-5:16 Why abodest thou among the
sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great
searchings of heart.
07-11:33 And he smote them from Aroer, even
till thou come to Minnith, even twenty
cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were
subdued before the children of Israel.
07-12:2 And Jephthah said unto them, I and
my people were at great strife with the children
of Ammon; and when I called you, ye delivered me not out of their hands.
07-15:8 And he smote them hip and thigh with
a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in
the top of the rock Etam.
07-15:18 And he was sore athirst, and called
on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great
deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and
fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?
07-16:5 And the lords of the Philistines
came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth,
and by what means we may prevail
against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every
one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.
07-16:6 And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me,
I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be
bound to afflict thee.
07-16:15 And she said unto him, How canst thou
say, I love thee, when thine heart is not
with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein
thy great strength lieth.
07-16:23 Then the lords of the Philistines
gathered them together for to offer a great
sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god hath delivered
Samson our enemy into our hand.
07-20:38 Now there was an appointed sign
between the men of Israel and the liers in wait, that they should make a great flame with smoke rise up out of the city.
07-21:5 And the children of Israel said, Who
is there among all the tribes of
Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made
a great oath concerning him that came not up to
the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death.
09-2:17 Wherefore the sin of the young men
was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred
the offering of the LORD.
09-4:5 And when the ark of the covenant of
the LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great
shout, so that the earth rang again.
09-4:6 And when the Philistines heard the
noise of the shout, they said, What meaneth
the noise of this great shout in the camp of
the Hebrews? And they understood that the ark of the LORD was come into the
camp.
09-4:10 And the Philistines fought, and
Israel was smitten, and they fled every man into his tent: and there was a very
great slaughter; for there fell of Israel thirty
thousand footmen.
09-4:17 And the messenger answered and said,
Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons
also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken.
09-5:9 And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was
against the city with a very great destruction:
and he smote the men of the city, both small and great,
and they had emerods in their secret parts.
09-6:9 And see, if it goeth up by the way
of his own coast to Bethshemesh, then he
hath done us this great evil: but if not, then
we shall know that it is not his hand
that smote us: it was a chance that happened to us.
09-6:14 And the cart came into the field of
Joshua, a Bethshemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they
clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the
LORD.
09-6:15 And the Levites took down the ark of
the LORD, and the coffer that was with
it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and
put them on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt
offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD.
09-6:18 And the golden mice, according to the number of all the
cities of the Philistines belonging to
the five lords, both of fenced
cities, and of country villages, even unto the great
stone of Abel, whereon they set down
the ark of the LORD: which stone
remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.
09-6:19 And he smote the men of Bethshemesh,
because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people
fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the
LORD had smitten many of the people
with a great slaughter.
09-7:10 And as Samuel was offering up the
burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the
LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day
upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before
Israel.
09-12:16 Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.
09-12:17 Is
it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send
thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great,
which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.
09-12:22 For the LORD will not forsake his
people for his great name’s sake: because it
hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.
09-12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in
truth with all your heart; for consider how great
things he hath done for you.
09-14:15 And there was trembling in the host,
in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they
also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great
trembling.
09-14:20 And Saul and all the people that were with him assembled themselves, and
they came to the battle: and, behold, every man’s sword was against his fellow,
and there was a very great discomfiture.
09-14:33 Then they told Saul, saying, Behold,
the people sin against the LORD, in that they eat with the blood. And he said,
Ye have transgressed: roll a great stone unto me
this day.
09-14:45 And the people said unto Saul, Shall
Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great
salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the
LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he
hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died
not.
09-15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight
in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold,
to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
09-17:25 And the men of Israel said, Have ye
seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it
shall be, that the man who killeth
him, the king will enrich him with great riches,
and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.
09-19:5 For he did put his life in his hand,
and slew the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great
salvation for all Israel: thou sawest it,
and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to
slay David without a cause?
09-19:8 And there was war again: and David
went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him.
09-19:22 Then went he also to Ramah, and came
to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one
said, Behold, they be at Naioth
in Ramah.
09-20:2 And he said unto him, God forbid;
thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me: and why
should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so.
09-23:5 So David and his men went to Keilah,
and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and smote them
with a great slaughter. So David saved the
inhabitants of Keilah.
09-25:2 And there was a man in Maon, whose possessions were in Carmel; and the man was
very great, and he had three thousand sheep,
and a thousand goats: and he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.
09-26:13 Then David went over to the other
side, and stood on the top of an hill afar off; a great
space being between them:
09-26:25 Then Saul said to David, Blessed be thou, my son David: thou shalt both
do great things,
and also shalt still prevail. So David went on his way, and Saul returned
to his place.
09-30:2 And had taken the women captives,
that were therein: they slew not any,
either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.
09-30:16 And when he had brought him down,
behold, they were spread abroad upon
all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the
Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.
09-30:19 And there was nothing lacking to
them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor
daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that
they had taken to them: David recovered all.
10-3:22 And, behold, the servants of David
and Joab came from pursuing a troop,
and brought in a great spoil with them: but
Abner was not with David in Hebron;
for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.
10-3:38 And the king said unto his servants,
Know ye not that there is a prince and a great
man fallen this day in Israel?
10-5:10 And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.
10-7:9 And I was with thee whithersoever
thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have
made thee a great name, like unto the name of
the great men
that are in the earth.
10-7:19 And this was yet a small thing in
thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?
10-7:21 For thy word’s sake, and according
to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great
things, to make thy servant know them.
10-7:22 Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard
with our ears.
10-7:23 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself,
and to make him a name, and to do for you great
things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to
thee from Egypt, from the nations and
their gods?
10-12:14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou
hast given great occasion to the enemies of the
LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is
born unto thee shall surely die.
10-12:30 And he took their king’s crown from
off his head, the weight whereof was a
talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David’s head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.
10-18:7 Where the people of Israel were
slain before the servants of David, and there was there a great slaughter that day of twenty thousand men.
10-18:9 And Absalom met the servants of
David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs
of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the
oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.
10-18:17 And they took Absalom, and cast him
into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled
every one to his tent.
10-18:29 And the king said, Is the young man
Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king’s servant, and me thy servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was.
10-19:32 Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided
the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.
10-20:8 When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa went before them.
And Joab’s garment that he had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle
with a sword fastened upon his loins
in the sheath thereof; and as he went forth it fell out.
10-21:20 And there was yet a battle in Gath,
where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers,
and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to
the giant.
10-22:36 Thou hast also given me the shield of
thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.
10-23:10 He arose, and smote the Philistines
until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD
wrought a great victory that day; and the people
returned after him only to spoil.
10-23:12 But he stood in the midst of the
ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.
10-24:14 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the
LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
11-1:40 And all the people came up after
him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.
11-3:4 And the king went to Gibeon to
sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did
Solomon offer upon that altar.
11-3:6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed
unto thy servant David my father great mercy,
according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in
uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit
on his throne, as it is this day.
11-3:8 And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou
hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be
numbered nor counted for multitude.
11-3:9 Give therefore thy servant an
understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and
bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great
a people?
11-4:13 The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead;
to him pertained the towns of Jair
the son of Manasseh, which are in
Gilead; to him also pertained the
region of Argob, which is in Bashan,
threescore great cities with walls and brasen
bars:
11-5:7 And it came to pass, when Hiram
heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which hath given
unto David a wise son over this great people.
11-5:17 And the king commanded, and they
brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation
of the house.
11-7:9 All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones,
sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping,
and so on the outside toward the great court.
11-7:10 And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of
eight cubits.
11-7:12 And the great
court round about was with three rows
of hewed stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the
house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.
11-8:42 (For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy
stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;
11-8:65 And at that time Solomon held a
feast, and all Israel with him, a great
congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before
the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.
11-10:2 And she came to Jerusalem with a
very great train, with camels that bare spices,
and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she
communed with him of all that was in her heart.
11-10:10 And she gave the king an hundred and
twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great
store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as
these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
11-10:11 And the navy also of Hiram, that
brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great
plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.
11-10:18 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best
gold.
11-11:19 And Hadad found great favour in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave
him to wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.
11-18:32 And with the stones he built an altar
in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
11-18:45 And it came to pass in the mean
while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.
11-19:7 And the angel of the LORD came again
the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is
too great for thee.
11-19:11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon
the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in
pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the
LORD was not in the wind: and after
the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
11-20:13 And, behold, there came a prophet
unto Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine
hand this day; and thou shalt know that I am
the LORD.
11-20:21 And the king of Israel went out, and
smote the horses and chariots, and slew the Syrians with a great slaughter.
11-20:28 And there came a man of God, and
spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the
Syrians have said, The LORD is God of
the hills, but he is not God of the
valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great
multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
11-22:31 But the king of Syria commanded his
thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither
with small nor great, save only with the king of
Israel.
12-3:27 Then he took his eldest son that
should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed
from him, and returned to their own land.
12-4:8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha
passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And
so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
12-4:38 And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and
there was a dearth in the land; and
the sons of the prophets were sitting
before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great
pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.
12-5:1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of
the king of Syria, was a great man with his
master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto
Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but
he was a leper.
12-5:13 And his servants came near, and
spake unto him, and said, My father, if the
prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith
to thee, Wash, and be clean?
12-6:14 Therefore sent he thither horses,
and chariots, and a great host: and they came by
night, and compassed the city about.
12-6:23 And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and
drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria
came no more into the land of Israel.
12-6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged
it, until an ass’s head was sold for
fourscore pieces of silver, and the
fourth part of a cab of dove’s dung for five pieces of silver.
12-7:6 For the Lord had made the host of
the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king
of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the
Egyptians, to come upon us.
12-8:4 And the king talked with Gehazi the
servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.
12-8:13 And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do
this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD
hath shewed me that thou shalt be king
over Syria.
12-10:6 Then he wrote a letter the second
time to them, saying, If ye be mine,
and if ye will hearken unto my voice,
take ye the heads of the men your master’s sons, and come to me to Jezreel by
to morrow this time. Now the king’s sons, being
seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, which brought them up.
12-10:11 So Jehu slew all that remained of the
house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men,
and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.
12-10:19 Now therefore call unto me all the
prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting:
for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be
wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it
in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.
12-16:15 And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the
priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the
morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king’s burnt
sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of
the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon
it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and
the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire by.
12-17:21 For he rent Israel from the house of
David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel
from following the LORD, and made them sin a great
sin.
12-17:36 But the LORD, who brought you up out
of the land of Egypt with great power and a
stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him
shall ye do sacrifice.
12-18:17 And the king of Assyria sent Tartan
and Rabsaris and Rabshakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and
came to Jerusalem. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the
conduit of the upper pool, which is in
the highway of the fuller’s field.
12-18:19 And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak
ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king,
the king of Assyria, What confidence is this
wherein thou trustest?
12-18:28 Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a
loud voice in the Jews’ language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:
12-22:13 Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me,
and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that
is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our
fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto
all that which is written concerning us.
12-23:2 And the king went up into the house
of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with
him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the
book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD.
12-23:26 Notwithstanding the LORD turned not
from the fierceness of his great wrath,
wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations
that Manasseh had provoked him withal.
12-25:9 And he burnt the house of the LORD,
and the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man’s house
burnt he with fire.
12-25:26 And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came
to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.
13-11:14 And they set themselves in the midst
of that parcel, and delivered it, and
slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them
by a great deliverance.
13-11:23 And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature,
five cubits high; and in the Egyptian’s hand was a spear like a weaver’s beam; and he went down to him with a
staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and slew him with his
own spear.
13-12:22 For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great
host, like the host of God.
13-16:25 For great
is the LORD, and greatly to be
praised: he also is to be feared
above all gods.
13-17:8 And I have been with thee
whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before
thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great
men that are in the earth.
13-17:17 And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant’s house for a
great while to come, and hast regarded me
according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
13-17:19 O LORD, for thy servant’s sake, and
according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making
known all these great things.
13-20:6 And yet again there was war at Gath,
where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of
the giant.
13-21:13 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the
LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.
13-22:8 But the word of the LORD came to me,
saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great
wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much
blood upon the earth in my sight.
13-25:8 And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.
13-26:13 And they cast lots, as well the small
as the great, according to the house of their
fathers, for every gate.
13-29:1 Furthermore David the king said unto
all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great:
for the palace is not for man, but
for the LORD God.
13-29:9 Then the people rejoiced, for that
they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the
LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great
joy.
13-29:12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over
all; and in thine hand is power and
might; and in thine hand it is to
make great, and to give strength unto all.
13-29:22 And did eat and drink before the LORD
on that day with great gladness. And they made
Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.
14-1:8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou
hast shewed great mercy unto David my father,
and hast made me to reign in his stead.
14-1:10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge,
that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy
people, that is so great?
14-2:5 And the house which I build is great:
for great is
our God above all gods.
14-2:9 Even to prepare me timber in abundance:
for the house which I am about to build shall
be wonderful great.
14-4:9 Furthermore he made the court of
the priests, and the great court, and doors for
the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass.
14-4:18 Thus Solomon made all these vessels
in great abundance: for the weight of the brass
could not be found out.
14-6:32 Moreover concerning the stranger,
which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name’s sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy
stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;
14-7:8 Also at the same time Solomon kept
the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great
congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
14-9:1 And when the queen of Sheba heard
of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at
Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels
that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was
come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
14-9:9 And she gave the king an hundred
and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great
abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen
of Sheba gave king Solomon.
14-9:17 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
14-13:8 And now ye think to withstand the
kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and ye be a great
multitude, and there are with you
golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods.
14-13:17 And Abijah and his people slew them
with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain
of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.
14-15:5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out,
nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the
countries.
14-15:13 That whosoever would not seek the
LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
14-16:12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth year
of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the
LORD, but to the physicians.
14-16:14 And they buried him in his own
sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in
the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries’
art: and they made a very great burning for him.
14-17:12 And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and
cities of store.
14-18:30 Now the king of Syria had commanded
the captains of the chariots that were with
him, saying, Fight ye not with small or great,
save only with the king of Israel.
14-20:2 Then there came some that told
Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great
multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold,
they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.
14-20:12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them?
for we have no might against this great company
that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
14-20:15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah,
and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD
unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great
multitude; for the battle is not
yours, but God’s.
14-21:3 And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious
things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram;
because he was the firstborn.
14-21:14 Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy
children, and thy wives, and all thy goods:
14-21:15 And thou shalt have great sickness by disease
of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.
14-24:24 For the army of the Syrians came with
a small company of men, and the LORD delivered a very great
host into their hand, because they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers.
So they executed judgment against Joash.
14-24:25 And when they were departed from him,
(for they left him in great diseases,) his own
servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the
priest, and slew him on his bed, and he died: and they buried him in the city
of David, but they buried him not in the sepulchres of the kings.
14-25:10 Then Amaziah separated them, to wit, the army that was come to him
out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled
against Judah, and they returned home in great
anger.
14-26:15 And he made in Jerusalem engines,
invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot
arrows and great stones withal. And his name
spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.
14-28:5 Wherefore the LORD his God delivered
him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also
delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
14-28:13 And said unto them, Ye shall not
bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass:
for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.
14-30:13 And there assembled at Jerusalem much
people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.
14-30:21 And the children of Israel that were
present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests
praised the LORD day by day, singing with
loud instruments unto the LORD.
14-30:24 For Hezekiah king of Judah did give
to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the
princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep:
and a great number of priests sanctified
themselves.
14-30:26 So there was great
joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel
there was not the like in Jerusalem.
14-31:10 And Azariah the chief priest of the
house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD,
we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his
people; and that which is left is this
great store.
14-31:15 And next him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and
Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their
set office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the small:
14-33:14 Now after this he built a wall
without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to
the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a
very great height, and put captains of war in
all the fenced cities of Judah.
14-34:21 Go, enquire of the LORD for me, and
for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book
that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our
fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in
this book.
14-34:30 And the king went up into the house
of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and
the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, great
and small: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant
that was found in the house of the LORD.
14-36:18 And all the vessels of the house of
God, great and small, and the treasures of the
house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.
15-3:11 And they sang together by course in
praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth
for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the
foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
15-4:10 And the rest of the nations whom the
great and noble Asnapper brought over, and set
in the cities of Samaria, and the rest that
are on this side the river, and at such a time.
15-5:8 Be it known unto the king, that we
went into the province of Judea, to the house of the great
God, which is builded with great stones, and
timber is laid in the walls, and this work goeth fast on, and prospereth in
their hands.
15-5:11 And thus they returned us answer,
saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and build the house
that was builded these many years ago, which a great
king of Israel builded and set up.
15-6:4 With
three rows of great stones, and a row of new
timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king’s house:
15-9:7 Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this
day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the
lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as
it is this day.
15-9:13 And after all that is come upon us
for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass,
seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;
15-10:1 Now when Ezra had prayed, and when
he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God,
there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great
congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very sore.
15-10:9 Then all the men of Judah and
Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat
in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.
16-1:3 And they said unto me, The remnant that
are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and
reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken
down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
16-1:5 And said, I beseech thee, O LORD
God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that
keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
16-1:10 Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.
16-3:27 After them the Tekoites repaired another
piece, over against the great tower that lieth
out, even unto the wall of Ophel.
16-4:1 But it came to pass, that when
Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.
16-4:14 And I looked, and rose up, and said
unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye
afraid of them: remember the Lord, which
is great and terrible, and fight for your
brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
16-4:19 And I said unto the nobles, and to
the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are
separated upon the wall, one far from another.
16-5:1 And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against
their brethren the Jews.
16-5:7 Then I consulted with myself, and I
rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every
one of his brother. And I set a great assembly
against them.
16-6:3 And I sent messengers unto them,
saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the
work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?
16-7:4 Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.
16-8:6 And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen,
with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the
LORD with their faces to the ground.
16-8:12 And all the people went their way to
eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great
mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.
16-8:17 And all the congregation of them
that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the
booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the
children of Israel done so. And there was very great
gladness.
16-9:17 And refused to obey, neither were
mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks,
and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou
art a God ready to pardon, gracious
and merciful, slow to anger, and of great
kindness, and forsookest them not.
16-9:18 Yea, when they had made them a
molten calf, and said, This is thy
God that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought great
provocations;
16-9:25 And they took strong cities, and a
fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and
oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and
became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great
goodness.
16-9:26 Nevertheless they were disobedient,
and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy
prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.
16-9:31 Nevertheless for thy great mercies’ sake thou didst not utterly consume
them, nor forsake them; for thou art a
gracious and merciful God.
16-9:32 Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest
covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath
come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our
prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the
kings of Assyria unto this day.
16-9:35 For they have not served thee in
their kingdom, and in thy great goodness that
thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land which thou gavest before them,
neither turned they from their wicked works.
16-9:37 And it yieldeth much increase unto
the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have
dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great
distress.
16-11:14 And their brethren, mighty men of
valour, an hundred twenty and eight: and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one
of the great men.
16-12:31 Then I brought up the princes of
Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon
the wall toward the dung gate:
16-12:43 Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them
rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the
children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
16-13:5 And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat
offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the
new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to
be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the
offerings of the priests.
16-13:27 Shall we then hearken unto you to do
all this great evil, to transgress against our
God in marrying strange wives?
17-1:5 And when these days were expired,
the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the
palace, both unto great and small, seven days,
in the court of the garden of the king’s palace;
17-1:20 And when the king’s decree which he
shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,) all the wives shall give to their husbands
honour, both to great and small.
17-2:18 Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther’s feast; and he made a
release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.
17-4:3 And in every province,
whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the
Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and
ashes.
17-8:15 And Mordecai went out from the
presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen
and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.
17-9:4 For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and
his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed
greater and greater.
17-10:3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of
his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his
seed.
18-1:3 His substance also was seven
thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and
five hundred she asses, and a very great
household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.
18-1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four
corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I
only am escaped alone to tell thee.
18-2:13 So they sat down with him upon the
ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they
saw that his grief was very great.
18-3:19 The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.
18-5:9 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
18-5:25 Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great,
and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
18-9:10 Which doeth great
things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.
18-22:5 Is
not thy wickedness great? and thine
iniquities infinite?
18-23:6 Will he plead against me with his great
power? No; but he would put strength in
me.
18-30:18 By the great
force of my disease is my garment
changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.
18-31:25 If I rejoiced because my wealth was great,
and because mine hand had gotten much;
18-31:34 Did I fear a great
multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?
18-32:9 Great
men are not always wise: neither do
the aged understand judgment.
18-35:15 But now, because it is not so, he hath
visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not
in great extremity:
18-36:18 Because there is wrath, beware lest
he take thee away with his stroke:
then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.
18-36:26 Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his
years be searched out.
18-37:5 God thundereth marvellously with his
voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot
comprehend.
18-37:6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small
rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
18-38:21 Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is
great?
18-39:11 Wilt thou trust him, because his
strength is great?
or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
19-14:5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
19-18:35 Thou hast also given me the shield of
thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath
made me great.
19-18:50 Great
deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David,
and to his seed for evermore.
19-19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant
warned: and in keeping of them there is great
reward.
19-19:13 Keep back thy servant also from
presumptuous sins; let them not have
dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
19-21:5 His glory is great in thy salvation: honour
and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
19-22:25 My praise shall be of thee in the great
congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
19-25:11 For thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon
mine iniquity; for it is great.
19-31:19 Oh
how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that
trust in thee before the sons of men!
19-32:6 For this shall every one that is
godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods
of great waters they shall not come nigh unto
him.
19-33:17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great
strength.
19-35:18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much
people.
19-36:6 Thy righteousness is like the great
mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
19-37:35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay
tree.
19-40:9 I have preached righteousness in the
great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my
lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
19-40:10 I have not hid thy righteousness
within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not
concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great
congregation.
19-47:2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the
earth.
19-48:1 Great
is the LORD, and greatly to be
praised in the city of our God, in the
mountain of his holiness.
19-48:2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of
the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of
the great King.
19-53:5 There were they in great fear, where
no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised
them.
19-57:10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy
truth unto the clouds.
19-58:6 Break their teeth, O God, in their
mouth: break out the great teeth of the young
lions, O LORD.
19-68:11 The Lord gave the word: great was the
company of those that published it.
19-71:19 Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!
19-71:20 Thou,
which hast shewed me great and sore
troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths
of the earth.
19-76:1 In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.
19-77:13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is
so great a God as our God?
19-77:19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great
waters, and thy footsteps are not known.
19-78:15 He clave the rocks in the wilderness,
and gave them drink as out of the great
depths.
19-78:71 From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his
people, and Israel his inheritance.
19-80:5 Thou feedest them with the bread of
tears; and givest them tears to drink in great
measure.
19-86:10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous
things: thou art God alone.
19-86:13 For great
is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast
delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
19-92:5 O LORD, how great
are thy works! and thy thoughts are
very deep.
19-95:3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
19-96:4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised:
he is to be feared above all gods.
19-99:2 The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.
19-99:3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.
19-103:11 For as the heaven is high above the
earth, so great
is his mercy toward them that fear him.
19-104:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my
God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with
honour and majesty.
19-104:25 So
is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both
small and great beasts.
19-106:21 They forgat God their saviour, which
had done great things in Egypt;
19-107:23 They that go down to the sea in ships,
that do business in great waters;
19-108:4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy
truth reacheth unto the clouds.
19-111:2 The works of the LORD are great,
sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
19-115:13 He will bless them that fear the LORD,
both small and great.
19-117:2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
19-119:156 Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken
me according to thy judgments.
19-119:162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that
findeth great spoil.
19-119:165 Great
peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
19-126:2 Then was our mouth filled with
laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The
LORD hath done great things for them.
19-126:3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
19-131:1 LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor
mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great
matters, or in things too high for me.
19-135:5 For I know that the LORD is great,
and that our Lord is above all gods.
19-135:10 Who smote great
nations, and slew mighty kings;
19-136:4 To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-136:7 To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:
19-136:17 To him which smote great kings: for his mercy endureth for ever:
19-138:5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of
the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.
19-139:17 How precious also are thy thoughts
unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
19-144:7 Send thine hand from above; rid me,
and deliver me out of great waters, from the
hand of strange children;
19-145:3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
and his greatness is unsearchable.
19-145:7 They shall abundantly utter the
memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of
thy righteousness.
19-145:8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
19-147:5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
20-13:7 There is that maketh himself rich,
yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great
riches.
20-14:29 He
that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
20-15:16 Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great
treasure and trouble therewith.
20-16:8 Better is a little with righteousness than great
revenues without right.
20-18:9 He also that is slothful in his work
is brother to him that is a great waster.
20-18:16 A man’s gift maketh room for him, and
bringeth him before great men.
20-19:19 A man of great
wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.
20-22:1 A good name is rather to be
chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
20-25:6 Put not forth thyself in the
presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great
men:
20-26:10 The great
God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and
rewardeth transgressors.
20-28:12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is
hidden.
20-28:16 The prince that wanteth understanding
is also a great
oppressor: but he that hateth
covetousness shall prolong his days.
21-1:16 I communed with mine own heart,
saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have
gotten more wisdom than all they that
have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great
experience of wisdom and knowledge.
21-2:4 I made me great
works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards:
21-2:7 I got me servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house; also I
had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me:
21-2:9 So I was great,
and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom
remained with me.
21-2:21 For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in
equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great
evil.
21-8:6 Because to every purpose there is
time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him.
21-9:13 This wisdom have I seen also under
the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
21-9:14 There
was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
21-10:4 If the spirit of the ruler rise up
against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.
21-10:6 Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place.
22-2:3 As the
apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is
my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
23-2:9 And the mean man boweth down, and
the great man humbleth himself: therefore
forgive them not.
23-5:9 In mine ears said the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great
and fair, without inhabitant.
23-6:12 And the LORD have removed men far
away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
23-8:1 Moreover the LORD said unto me,
Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a
man’s pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.
23-9:2 The people that walked in darkness
have seen a great light: they that dwell in the
land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
23-12:6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant
of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
23-13:4 The noise of a multitude in the
mountains, like as of a great people; a
tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of
hosts mustereth the host of the battle.
23-16:14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying,
Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be
contemned, with all that great multitude; and
the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
23-19:20 And it shall be for a sign and for a
witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto
the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
23-23:3 And by great
waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she is a mart of nations.
23-27:1 In that day the LORD with his sore
and great and strong sword shall punish
leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he
shall slay the dragon that is in the
sea.
23-27:13 And it shall come to pass in that
day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready
to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and
shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
23-29:6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of
hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great
noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
23-30:25 And there shall be upon every high
mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and
streams of waters in the day of the great
slaughter, when the towers fall.
23-32:2 And a man shall be as an hiding
place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry
place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary
land.
23-33:23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could
not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the
prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the
prey.
23-34:6 The sword of the LORD is filled with
blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with
the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD
hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great
slaughter in the land of Idumea.
23-34:15 There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and
gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one
with her mate.
23-36:2 And the king of Assyria sent
Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper
pool in the highway of the fuller’s field.
23-36:4 And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye
now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the
king of Assyria, What confidence is this
wherein thou trustest?
23-36:13 Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with
a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.
23-38:17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption:
for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
23-47:9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of
children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the
multitude of thy sorceries, and for
the great abundance of thine enchantments.
23-51:10 Art
thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way
for the ransomed to pass over?
23-53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong;
because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the
transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the
transgressors.
23-54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken
thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
23-54:13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the
peace of thy children.
23-63:7 I will mention the lovingkindnesses
of the LORD, and the praises of the
LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he
hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude
of his lovingkindnesses.
24-4:6 Set up the standard toward Zion:
retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.
24-5:5 I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have
known the way of the LORD, and the
judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.
24-5:27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit:
therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.
24-6:1 O ye children of Benjamin, gather
yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in
Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appeareth out of the
north, and great destruction.
24-6:22 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, a
people cometh from the north country, and a great
nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.
24-10:6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great
in might.
24-10:22 Behold, the noise of the bruit is
come, and a great commotion out of the north
country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.
24-11:16 The LORD called thy name, A green
olive tree, fair, and of goodly
fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath
kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
24-13:9 Thus saith the LORD, After this
manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great
pride of Jerusalem.
24-14:17 Therefore thou shalt say this word
unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not
cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.
24-16:6 Both the great
and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves,
nor make themselves bald for them:
24-16:10 And it shall come to pass, when thou
shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore
hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil
against us? or what is our iniquity?
or what is our sin that we have
committed against the LORD our God?
24-20:17 Because he slew me not from the womb;
or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me.
24-21:5 And I myself will fight against you
with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury,
and in great wrath.
24-21:6 And I will smite the inhabitants of
this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great
pestilence.
24-22:8 And many nations shall pass by this
city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD
done thus unto this great city?
24-25:14 For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I
will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of
their own hands.
24-25:32 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold,
evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great
whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
24-26:19 Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all
Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD,
and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them?
Thus might we procure great evil against our
souls.
24-27:5 I have made the earth, the man and
the beast that are upon the ground,
by my great power and by my outstretched arm,
and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
24-27:7 And all nations shall serve him, and
his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many
nations and great kings shall serve themselves
of him.
24-28:8 The prophets that have been before
me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of
pestilence.
24-30:7 Alas! for that day is great,
so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but
he shall be saved out of it.
24-31:8 Behold, I will bring them from the
north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame,
the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.
24-32:17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made
the heaven and the earth by thy great power and
stretched out arm, and there is
nothing too hard for thee:
24-32:18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto
thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their
children after them: the Great, the Mighty God,
the LORD of hosts, is his name,
24-32:19 Great
in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one
according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
24-32:21 And hast brought forth thy people
Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong
hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great
terror;
24-32:37 Behold, I will gather them out of all
countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this
place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:
24-32:42 For thus saith the LORD; Like as I
have brought all this great evil upon this
people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
24-33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer
thee, and shew thee great and mighty things,
which thou knowest not.
24-36:7 It may be they will present their
supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the
anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.
24-41:12 Then they took all the men, and went
to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and found him by the great waters that are
in Gibeon.
24-43:9 Take great
stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in
Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
24-44:7 Therefore now thus saith the LORD,
the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls,
to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave
you none to remain;
24-44:15 Then all the men which knew that
their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood
by, a great multitude, even all the people that
dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
24-44:26 Therefore hear ye the word of the
LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more
be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The
Lord GOD liveth.
24-45:5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the
LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou
goest.
24-48:3 A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction.
24-50:9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to
come up against Babylon an assembly of great
nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against
her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.
24-50:22 A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.
24-50:41 Behold, a people shall come from the
north, and a great nation, and many kings shall
be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
24-51:54 A sound of a cry cometh from Babylon, and great
destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:
24-51:55 Because the LORD hath spoiled
Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great
voice; when her waves do roar like great waters,
a noise of their voice is uttered:
24-52:13 And burned the house of the LORD, and
the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned
he with fire:
25-1:1 How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great
among the nations, and princess among
the provinces, how is she become
tributary!
25-1:3 Judah is gone into captivity
because of affliction, and because of great
servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her
persecutors overtook her between the straits.
25-2:13 What thing shall I take to witness
for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall
I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy
breach is great
like the sea: who can heal thee?
25-3:23 They
are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
26-1:4 And I looked, and, behold, a
whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and
a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was
about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the
midst of the fire.
26-1:24 And when they went, I heard the
noise of their wings, like the noise of great
waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an
host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
26-3:12 Then the spirit took me up, and I
heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.
26-3:13 I
heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one
another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.
26-8:6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of
man, seest thou what they do? even the
great abominations that the house of Israel
committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet
again, and thou shalt see greater
abominations.
26-9:9 Then said he unto me, The iniquity
of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding
great, and the land is full of blood, and the
city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and
the LORD seeth not.
26-13:11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower;
and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a
stormy wind shall rend it.
26-13:13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I
will even rend it with a stormy wind
in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
26-16:7 I have caused thee to multiply as
the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine
hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked
and bare.
26-16:26 Thou hast also committed fornication
with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of
flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.
26-17:3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great
wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto
Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:
26-17:5 He took also of the seed of the
land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by great waters, and set it as a willow tree.
26-17:7 There was also another great eagle with great
wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him,
and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows
of her plantation.
26-17:8 It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and
that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.
26-17:9 Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit
thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even
without great power or many people to pluck it
up by the roots thereof.
26-17:17 Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up
mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:
26-21:14 Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy,
and smite thine hands together, and
let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that
are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.
26-23:23 The Babylonians, and all the
Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, and all
the Assyrians with them: all of them desirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon
horses.
26-24:9 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;
Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.
26-24:12 She hath wearied herself with lies, and her great
scum went not forth out of her: her scum shall
be in the fire.
26-25:17 And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and
they shall know that I am the LORD,
when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.
26-26:19 For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I
shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I
shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great
waters shall cover thee;
26-27:26 Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the
midst of the seas.
26-28:5 By thy great
wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou
increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:
26-29:3 Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord
GOD; Behold, I am against thee,
Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that
lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
26-29:18 Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of
Babylon caused his army to serve a great service
against Tyrus: every head was made
bald, and every shoulder was peeled:
yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had
served against it:
26-30:4 And the sword shall come upon Egypt,
and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the
slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her
foundations shall be broken down.
26-30:9 In that day shall messengers go
forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of
Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.
26-30:16 And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin
shall have great pain, and No shall be rent
asunder, and Noph shall have distresses
daily.
26-31:4 The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers
running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the
trees of the field.
26-31:6 All the fowls of heaven made their
nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field
bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations.
26-31:7 Thus was he fair in his greatness,
in the length of his branches: for his root was by great
waters.
26-31:15 Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day
when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him,
and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great
waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of
the field fainted for him.
26-32:13 I will destroy also all the beasts
thereof from beside the great waters; neither
shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble
them.
26-36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen,
which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I
shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
26-37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me,
and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an
exceeding great army.
26-38:4 And I will turn thee back, and put
hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses
and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them
handling swords:
26-38:13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants
of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou
come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry
away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
26-38:15 And thou shalt come from thy place
out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding
upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
26-38:19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I
spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great
shaking in the land of Israel;
26-38:22 And I will plead against him with
pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and
upon the many people that are with
him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones,
fire, and brimstone.
26-39:17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the
Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field,
Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice
that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye
may eat flesh, and drink blood.
26-41:8 I saw also the height of the house
round about: the foundations of the side chambers were a full reed of six great
cubits.
26-47:9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which
moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a
very great multitude of fish, because these
waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live
whither the river cometh.
26-47:10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it
from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their
kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding
many.
26-47:15 And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;
26-47:19 And the south side southward, from
Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this
is the south side southward.
26-47:20 The west side also shall be the great
sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side.
26-48:28 And by the border of Gad, at the
south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of strife in Kadesh,
and to the river toward the great sea.
27-2:6 But if ye shew the dream, and the interpretation
thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great
honour: therefore shew me the dream, and the interpretation thereof.
27-2:31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great
image, whose brightness was excellent,
stood before thee; and the form thereof was
terrible.
27-2:35 Then was the iron, the clay, the
brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the
chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no
place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
27-2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the
stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces
the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come
to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain,
and the interpretation thereof sure.
27-2:48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great
gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the
governors over all the wise men of
Babylon.
27-4:3 How great
are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his
dominion is from generation to
generation.
27-4:10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold, a tree
in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great.
27-4:30 The king spake, and said, Is not
this great Babylon, that I have built for the
house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my
majesty?
27-5:1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine
before the thousand.
27-7:2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my
vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
27-7:3 And four great
beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
27-7:7 After this I saw in the night
visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong
exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it
devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and
it was diverse from all the beasts
that were before it; and it had ten
horns.
27-7:8 I considered the horns, and,
behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were
three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a
mouth speaking great things.
27-7:11 I beheld then because of the voice
of the great words which the horn spake: I
beheld even till the beast was slain,
and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
27-7:17 These great
beasts, which are four, are four
kings, which shall arise out of the
earth.
27-7:20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before
whom three fell; even of that horn
that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great
things, whose look was more stout
than his fellows.
27-7:25 And he shall speak great words
against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and
think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a
time and times and the dividing of time.
27-8:4 I saw the ram pushing westward, and
northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of
his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.
27-8:8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable
ones toward the four winds of heaven.
27-8:9 And out of one of them came forth a
little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward
the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
27-8:10 And it waxed great, even to the host
of heaven; and it cast down some of
the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
27-8:21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is
between his eyes is the first
king.
27-9:4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God,
and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great
and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to
them that keep his commandments;
27-9:12 And he hath confirmed his words,
which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing
upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven
hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
27-9:18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear;
open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by
thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our
righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
27-10:4 And in the four and twentieth day of
the first month, as I was by the side of the great
river, which is Hiddekel;
27-10:7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision:
for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
27-10:8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw
this great vision, and there remained no
strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained
no strength.
27-11:3 And a mighty king shall stand up,
that shall rule with great dominion, and do
according to his will.
27-11:5 And the king of the south shall be strong,
and one of his princes; and he shall
be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.
27-11:10 But his sons shall be stirred up, and
shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow,
and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.
27-11:11 And the king of the south shall be
moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he
shall set forth a great multitude; but the
multitude shall be given into his hand.
27-11:13 For the king of the north shall return,
and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly
come after certain years with a great army and
with much riches.
27-11:25 And he shall stir up his power and
his courage against the king of the south with a great
army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for
they shall forecast devices against him.
27-11:28 Then shall he return into his land
with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and
he shall do exploits, and return to
his own land.
27-11:44 But tidings out of the east and out
of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
27-12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand
up, the great prince which standeth for the children
of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since
there was a nation even to that same
time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be
found written in the book.
28-1:2 The beginning of the word of the
LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of
whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing
from the LORD.
28-1:11 Then shall the children of Judah and
the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head,
and they shall come up out of the land: for great
shall be the day of Jezreel.
28-8:12 I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.
28-9:7 The days of visitation are come, the
days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a
fool, the spiritual man is mad, for
the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great
hatred.
28-10:15 So shall Bethel do unto you because
of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the
king of Israel utterly be cut off.
28-13:5 I did know thee in the wilderness,
in the land of great drought.
29-1:6 For a nation is come up upon my
land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.
29-2:2 A day of darkness and of gloominess,
a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the
mountains: a great people and a strong; there
hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
29-2:11 And the LORD shall utter his voice
before his army: for his camp is very
great: for he
is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great
and very terrible; and who can abide it?
29-2:13 And rend your heart, and not your
garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
29-2:20 But I will remove far off from you
the northern army, and will drive him
into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his
hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill
savour shall come up, because he hath done great
things.
29-2:21 Fear not, O land; be glad and
rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.
29-2:25 And I will restore to you the years that
the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm,
my great army which I sent among you.
29-2:31 The sun shall be turned into
darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great
and the terrible day of the LORD come.
29-3:13 Put ye in the sickle, for the
harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow;
for their wickedness is great.
30-3:9 Publish in the palaces at Ashdod,
and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the
mountains of Samaria, and behold the great
tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof.
30-3:15 And I will smite the winter house
with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD.
30-6:2 Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and
from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go
down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better
than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?
30-6:11 For, behold, the LORD commandeth,
and he will smite the great house with breaches,
and the little house with clefts.
30-7:4 Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto
me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.
30-8:5 Saying, When will the new moon be
gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat,
making the ephah small, and the shekel great,
and falsifying the balances by deceit?
32-1:2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is
come up before me.
32-1:4 But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty
tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
32-1:12 And he said unto them, Take me up,
and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know
that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
32-1:17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the
belly of the fish three days and three nights.
32-3:2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I
bid thee.
32-3:3 So Jonah arose, and went unto
Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey.
32-4:2 And he prayed unto the LORD, and
said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not
this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto
Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a
gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great
kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
32-4:11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that
great city, wherein are more than sixscore
thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left
hand; and also much cattle?
33-2:12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all
of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together
as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall
make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.
33-5:4 And he shall stand and feed in the
strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they
shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the
ends of the earth.
33-7:3 That they may do evil with both
hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire:
so they wrap it up.
34-1:3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in
power, and will not at all acquit the
wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the
clouds are the dust of his feet.
34-3:3 The horseman lifteth up both the
bright sword and the glittering spear: and there
is a multitude of slain, and a great number
of carcases; and there is none end of
their corpses; they stumble upon
their corpses:
34-3:10 Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children
also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots
for her honourable men, and all her great men
were bound in chains.
34-3:17 Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away,
and their place is not known where they are.
35-3:15 Thou didst walk through the sea with
thine horses, through the heap of great waters.
36-1:10 And it shall come to pass in that
day, saith the LORD, that there shall be the
noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.
36-1:14 The great
day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD:
the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
38-1:14 So the angel that communed with me
said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for
Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
38-4:7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before
Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain:
and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof
with shoutings, crying, Grace,
grace unto it.
38-7:12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should
hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by
the former prophets: therefore came a great
wrath from the LORD of hosts.
38-8:2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was
jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was
jealous for her with great fury.
38-9:17 For how great
is his goodness, and how great is his
beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.
38-12:11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of
Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
38-14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day
upon the mount of Olives, which is before
Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst
thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great
valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it
toward the south.
38-14:13 And it shall come to pass in that
day, that a great
tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on
the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his
neighbour.
38-14:14 And Judah also shall fight at
Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered
together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great
abundance.
39-1:11 For from the rising of the sun even
unto the going down of the same my name shall
be great among the Gentiles; and in every
place incense shall be offered unto
my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall
be great among the heathen, saith the LORD
of hosts.
39-1:14 But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and
sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of
hosts, and my name is dreadful among
the heathen.
39-4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the
prophet before the coming of the great and
dreadful day of the LORD:
40-2:10 When they saw the star, they
rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
40-2:18 In Rama was there a voice heard,
lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning,
Rachel weeping for her children, and
would not be comforted, because they are not.
40-4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw
great light; and to them which sat in the region
and shadow of death light is sprung up.
40-4:25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea,
and from beyond Jordan.
40-5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your
reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
40-5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one
of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the
least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
40-5:35 Nor by the earth; for it is his
footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
40-6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole
body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be
darkness, how great is that darkness!
40-7:27 And the rain descended, and the
floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
40-8:1 When he was come down from the
mountain, great multitudes followed him.
40-8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that
followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great
faith, no, not in Israel.
40-8:18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to
depart unto the other side.
40-8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was
covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
40-8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye
fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the
sea; and there was a great calm.
40-12:15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and
great multitudes followed him, and he healed
them all;
40-13:2 And great
multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and
sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
40-13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought
it.
40-14:14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward
them, and he healed their sick.
40-15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto
her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter
was made whole from that very hour.
40-15:30 And great
multitudes came unto him, having with them those
that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at
Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
40-15:33 And his disciples say unto him,
Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
40-19:2 And great
multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
40-19:22 But when the young man heard that
saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great
possessions.
40-20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the
princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
40-20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but
whosoever will be great among you, let him be
your minister;
40-20:29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
40-21:8 And a very great
multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the
trees, and strawed them in the way.
40-22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
40-22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
40-24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning
of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
40-24:24 For there shall arise false Christs,
and false prophets, and shall shew great signs
and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible,
they shall deceive the very elect.
40-24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the
Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and
they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
40-24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather
together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
40-26:47 And while he yet spake, lo, Judas,
one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude
with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
40-27:60 And laid it in his own new tomb,
which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great
stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
40-28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended
from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
40-28:8 And they departed quickly from the
sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run
to bring his disciples word.
41-1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into
a solitary place, and there prayed.
41-3:7 But Jesus withdrew himself with his
disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from
Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
41-3:8 And from Jerusalem, and from
Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and
they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude,
when they had heard what great things he did,
came unto him.
41-4:1 And he began again to teach by the
sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great
multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole
multitude was by the sea on the land.
41-4:32 But when it is sown, it groweth up,
and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great
branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
41-4:37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship,
so that it was now full.
41-4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind,
and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
41-5:11 Now there was there nigh unto the
mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
41-5:19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith
unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great
things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
41-5:20 And he departed, and began to
publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had
done for him: and all men did marvel.
41-5:42 And straightway the damsel arose,
and walked; for she was of the age of
twelve years. And they were astonished with a great
astonishment.
41-7:36 And he charged them that they should
tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
41-8:1 In those days the multitude being
very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus
called his disciples unto him, and
saith unto them,
41-9:14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes
questioning with them.
41-10:22 And he was sad at that saying, and
went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
41-10:42 But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know
that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over
them; and their great ones exercise authority
upon them.
41-10:43 But so shall it not be among you: but
whosoever will be great among you, shall be your
minister:
41-10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he
went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great
number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side
begging.
41-10:48 And many charged him that he should
hold his peace: but he cried the more a great
deal, Thou son of David, have mercy
on me.
41-13:2 And Jesus answering said unto him,
Seest thou these great buildings? there shall
not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
41-13:26 And then shall they see the Son of
man coming in the clouds with great power and
glory.
41-14:43 And immediately, while he yet spake,
cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great
multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and
the elders.
41-16:4 And when they looked, they saw that
the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
42-1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink
neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even
from his mother’s womb.
42-1:32 He shall be great,
and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto
him the throne of his father David:
42-1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to
me great things; and holy is his name.
42-1:58 And her neighbours and her cousins
heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon
her; and they rejoiced with her.
42-2:5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused
wife, being great with child.
42-2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear
not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great
joy, which shall be to all people.
42-2:36 And there was one Anna, a
prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years
from her virginity;
42-4:25 But I tell you of a truth, many
widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three
years and six months, when great famine was
throughout all the land;
42-4:38 And he arose out of the synagogue,
and entered into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
42-5:6 And when they had this done, they
inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their
net brake.
42-5:15 But so much the more went there a
fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came
together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
42-5:29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down
with them.
42-6:17 And he came down with them, and
stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and
Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him,
and to be healed of their diseases;
42-6:23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for
joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their
fathers unto the prophets.
42-6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do
good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest:
for he is kind unto the unthankful and to
the evil.
42-6:49 But he that heareth, and doeth not,
is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against
which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of
that house was great.
42-7:9 When Jesus heard these things, he
marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed
him, I say unto you, I have not found so great
faith, no, not in Israel.
42-7:16 And there came a fear on all: and
they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet
is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
42-8:37 Then the whole multitude of the
country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they
were taken with great fear: and he went up into
the ship, and returned back again.
42-8:39 Return to thine own house, and shew
how great things God hath done unto thee. And he
went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.
42-9:48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall
receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth
him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
42-10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The
harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would
send forth labourers into his harvest.
42-10:13 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto
thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which
have been done in you, they had a great while
ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
42-13:19 It is like a grain of mustard seed,
which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the
branches of it.
42-14:16 Then said he unto him, A certain man
made a great supper, and bade many:
42-14:25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said
unto them,
42-14:32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth
conditions of peace.
42-15:20 And he arose, and came to his father.
But when he was yet a great way off, his father
saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
42-16:26 And beside all this, between us and
you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they
which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
42-21:11 And great
earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and
fearful sights and great signs shall there be
from heaven.
42-21:23 But woe unto them that are with
child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this
people.
42-21:27 And then shall they see the Son of
man coming in a cloud with power and great
glory.
42-22:44 And being in an agony he prayed more
earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great
drops of blood falling down to the ground.
42-23:27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also
bewailed and lamented him.
42-24:52 And they worshipped him, and returned
to Jerusalem with great joy:
43-5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt,
withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
43-6:2 And a great
multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that
were diseased.
43-6:5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip,
Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
43-6:18 And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.
43-7:37 In the last day, that great day of
the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto
me, and drink.
43-21:11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net
to land full of great fishes, an hundred and
fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
44-2:20 The sun shall be turned into
darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great
and notable day of the Lord come:
44-4:33 And with great
power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
44-5:5 And Ananias hearing these words
fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear
came on all them that heard these things.
44-5:11 And great
fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.
44-6:7 And the word of God increased; and
the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the
faith.
44-6:8 And Stephen, full of faith and
power, did great wonders and miracles among the
people.
44-7:11 Now there came a dearth over all the
land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction:
and our fathers found no sustenance.
44-8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his
death. And at that time there was a great
persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered
abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
44-8:2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
44-8:8 And there was great joy in that city.
44-8:9 But there was a certain man, called
Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people
of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great
one:
44-8:10 To whom they all gave heed, from the
least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great
power of God.
44-8:27 And he arose and went: and, behold,
a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority
under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure,
and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
44-9:16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.
44-10:11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain
vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great
sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
44-11:5 I was in the city of Joppa praying:
and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and
it came even to me:
44-11:21 And the hand of the Lord was with
them: and a great number believed, and turned
unto the Lord.
44-11:28 And there stood up one of them named
Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to
pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
44-14:1 And it came to pass in Iconium, that
they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the
Greeks believed.
44-15:3 And being brought on their way by
the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion
of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto
all the brethren.
44-16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the
prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s
bands were loosed.
44-17:4 And some of them believed, and
consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.
44-19:27 So that not only this our craft is in
danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her
magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.
44-19:28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath,
and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
44-19:34 But when they knew that he was a Jew,
all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana
of the Ephesians.
44-19:35 And when the townclerk had appeased
the people, he said, Ye men of
Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians
is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and
of the image which fell down from
Jupiter?
44-21:40 And when he had given him licence,
Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when
there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,
44-22:6 And it came to pass, that, as I made
my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone
from heaven a great light round about me.
44-22:28 And the chief captain answered, With
a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul
said, But I was free born.
44-23:9 And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees’ part arose, and strove, saying, We find
no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not
fight against God.
44-23:10 And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul
should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down,
and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.
44-23:14 And they came to the chief priests
and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great
curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul.
44-24:2 And when he was called forth,
Tertullus began to accuse him, saying,
Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness,
and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,
44-24:7 But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
44-25:23 And on the morrow, when Agrippa was
come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was
entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men
of the city, at Festus’ commandment Paul was brought forth.
44-26:22 Having therefore obtained help of
God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the
prophets and Moses did say should come:
44-28:6 Howbeit they looked when he should
have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed
their minds, and said that he was a god.
44-28:29 And when he had said these words, the
Jews departed, and had great reasoning among
themselves.
45-9:2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
45-15:23 But now having no more place in these
parts, and having a great desire these many
years to come unto you;
46-9:11 If we have sown unto you spiritual
things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
46-16:9 For
a great door and effectual is opened unto me,
and there are many adversaries.
47-1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that
he will yet deliver us;
47-3:12 Seeing then that we have such hope,
we use great plainness of speech:
47-7:4 Great
is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my
glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
47-8:2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy
and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
47-8:22 And we have sent with them our
brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much
more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.
47-11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his
ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end
shall be according to their works.
49-2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for
his great love wherewith he loved us,
49-5:32 This is a great
mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
51-2:1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in
the flesh;
51-4:13 For I bear him record, that he hath
a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea and them in
Hierapolis.
52-2:17 But we, brethren, being taken from
you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly
to see your face with great desire.
54-3:13 For they that have used the office
of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
54-3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in
the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world, received up into glory.
54-6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
55-2:20 But in a great
house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of
earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
56-2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and
the glorious appearing of the great God and our
Saviour Jesus Christ;
57-1:7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the
saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
58-2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect
so great salvation; which at the first began to
be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
58-4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our
profession.
58-7:4 Now consider how great this man was,
unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
58-10:32 But call to remembrance the former
days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
58-10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence,
which hath great recompence of reward.
58-12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are
compassed about with so great a cloud of
witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily
beset us, and let us run with
patience the race that is set before us,
58-13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought
again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great
shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
59-3:4 Behold also the ships, which though
they be so great,
and are driven of fierce winds, yet are
they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
59-3:5 Even so the tongue is a little
member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
60-3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not
corruptible, even the ornament of a
meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great
price.
61-1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding
great and precious promises: that by these ye might
be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the
world through lust.
61-2:18 For when they speak great swelling words
of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them
who live in error.
61-3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as
a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that
are therein shall be burned up.
65-1:6 And the angels which kept not their
first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting
chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great
day.
65-1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking
after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great
swelling words, having men’s persons
in admiration because of advantage.
66-1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s
day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a
trumpet,
66-2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed,
and them that commit adultery with her into great
tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
66-6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the
earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
66-6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the
sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great
earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became
as blood;
66-6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains,
and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in
the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
66-6:17 For the great
day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
66-7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all
nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and
before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
66-7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou
knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and
made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
66-8:8 And the second angel sounded, and
as it were a great mountain burning with fire
was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
66-8:10 And the third angel sounded, and
there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it
were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the
fountains of waters;
66-9:2 And he opened the bottomless pit;
and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened
by reason of the smoke of the pit.
66-9:14 Saying to the sixth angel which had
the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
66-11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and
Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
66-11:11 And after three days and an half the
Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
66-11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up
hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld
them.
66-11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell,
and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were
affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
66-11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and
there were great voices in heaven, saying, The
kingdoms of this world are become the
kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and
ever.
66-11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord
God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to
thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
66-11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy
wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that
thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints,
and them that fear thy name, small and great;
and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
66-11:19 And the temple of God was opened in
heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there
were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
66-12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun,
and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
66-12:3 And there appeared another wonder in
heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having
seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
66-12:9 And the great
dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which
deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were
cast out with him.
66-12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.
Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down
unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth
that he hath but a short time.
66-12:14 And to the woman were given two wings
of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness,
into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time,
from the face of the serpent.
66-13:2 And the beast which I saw was like
unto a leopard, and his feet were as the
feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave
him his power, and his seat, and great
authority.
66-13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth
speaking great things and blasphemies; and power
was given unto him to continue forty and two
months.
66-13:13 And he doeth great
wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight
of men,
66-13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark
in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
66-14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as
the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great
thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
66-14:8 And there followed another angel,
saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great
city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her
fornication.
66-14:19 And the angel thrust in his sickle
into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great
winepress of the wrath of God.
66-15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven
last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
66-15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the
servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great
and marvellous are thy works, Lord
God Almighty; just and true are thy
ways, thou King of saints.
66-16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven
angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the
earth.
66-16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath
power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
66-16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his
vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the
water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be
prepared.
66-16:14 For they are the spirits of devils,
working miracles, which go forth unto
the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of
that great day of God Almighty.
66-16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his
vial into the air; and there came a great voice out
of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
66-16:18 And there were voices, and thunders,
and lightnings; and there was a great
earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an
earthquake, and so great.
66-16:19 And the great
city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto
her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
66-16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God
because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
66-17:1 And there came one of the seven
angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come
hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great
whore that sitteth upon many waters:
66-17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE
GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF
THE EARTH.
66-17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the
blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw
her, I wondered with great admiration.
66-17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is
that great city, which reigneth over the kings
of the earth.
66-18:1 And after these things I saw another
angel come down from heaven, having great power;
and the earth was lightened with his glory.
66-18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong
voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is
fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul
spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
66-18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her
torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city
Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
66-18:16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and
purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
66-18:17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster,
and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood
afar off,
66-18:18 And cried when they saw the smoke of
her burning, saying, What city is like
unto this great city!
66-18:19 And they cast dust on their heads,
and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in
the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
66-18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone
like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with
violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown
down, and shall be found no more at all.
66-18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine
no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall
be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all
nations deceived.
66-19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia;
Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
66-19:2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged
the great whore, which did corrupt the earth
with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
66-19:5 And a voice came out of the throne,
saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small
and great.
66-19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of
a great multitude, and as the voice of many
waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord
God omnipotent reigneth.
66-19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the
sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the
midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
66-19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings,
and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of
horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
66-20:1 And I saw an angel come down from
heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great
chain in his hand.
66-20:11 And I saw a great
white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven
fled away; and there was found no place for them.
66-20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:
and another book was opened, which is the
book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were
written in the books, according to their works.
66-21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the
tabernacle of God is with men, and he
will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be
with them, and be their God.
66-21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit
to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that
great city, the holy
66-21:12 And had a wall great and high, and
had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written
thereon, which are the names of the
twelve tribes of the children of
