01-GENESIS
01-1:5 And
God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and
the morning were the first day.
01-2:11 The
name of the first is Pison: that is it
which compasseth the whole

the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first
day of the month, were the tops of
the mountains seen.
01-8:13 And
it came to pass in the six hundredth and first
year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried
up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked,
and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
01-13:4 Unto
the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first:
and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.

he called the name of that place

01-41:20 And
the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first
seven fat kine:
01-43:18 And
the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph’s house; and they
said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek
occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.
01-43:20 And
said, O sir, we came indeed down at the first
time to buy food:
02-4:8 And
it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the
voice of the first sign, that they will believe
the voice of the latter sign.
02-12:2 This
month shall be unto you the beginning
of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
02-12:5 Your
lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first
year: ye shall take it out from the
sheep, or from the goats:
02-12:15 Seven
days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first
day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened

first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt
bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his
mother’s milk.
02-28:17 And
thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even
four rows of stones: the first row shall
be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this
shall be the first row.
02-29:38 Now
this is that which thou shalt offer
upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day
by day continually.
02-34:1 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first

offering first, and wring off his head from his
neck, but shall not divide it asunder:
03-9:3 And

he brought the people’s offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it
for sin, as the first.

when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she
shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt

door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:

the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet
savour unto the LORD.
03-23:19 Then
ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of

of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall
be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall
be a sabbath.

ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of

commanded Moses, so did the children of
04-10:13 And
they first took their journey according to the
commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
04-10:14 In
the first place
went the standard of the camp of the children of

the sight of all the Egyptians.

Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and
died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of

05-1:3 And
it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of
the month, that Moses spake unto the
children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in
commandment unto them;
05-9:18 And
I fell down before the LORD, as at the first,
forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because
of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD,
to provoke him to anger.
05-9:25 Thus
I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first;
because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
05-10:1 At
that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make
thee an ark of wood.
05-10:2 And
I will write on the tables the words that were in the first
tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
05-10:3 And
I made an ark of shittim wood, and
hewed two tables of stone like unto the first,
and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
05-10:4 And
he wrote on the tables, according to the first
writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out
of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them
unto me.
05-10:10 And
I stayed in the mount, according to the first
time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time
also, and the LORD would not destroy
thee.
05-11:14 That
I will give you the rain of your land
in his due season, the first rain and the latter
rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
05-13:9 But
thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first
upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
05-16:4 And
there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days;
neither shall there any thing of the
flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at
even, remain all night until the morning.
05-17:7 The
hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him
to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt
put the evil away from among you.
05-18:4 The
firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy
wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the
fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.
05-26:2 That
thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of
the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth
thee, and shalt put it in a basket,
and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his
name there.
05-33:21 And
he provided the first part for himself, because
there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the
heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments
with Israel.
06-4:19 And
the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped
in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho.
06-8:5 And
I, and all the people that are with
me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out
against us, as at the first, that we will flee
before them,
06-8:6 (For
they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they
will say, They flee before us, as at the first:
therefore we will flee before them.
06-21:10 Which
the children of Aaron, being of the
families of the Kohathites, who were of
the children of Levi, had: for theirs was the first
lot.
07-1:1 Now
after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked
the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?
07-18:29 And
they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who
was born unto Israel: howbeit the name of the city was Laish at the first.
07-20:18 And
the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God, and asked
counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first
to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first.
07-20:22 And
the people the men of Israel encouraged themselves, and set their battle again
in array in the place where they put themselves in array the first day.
07-20:32 And
the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten
down before us, as at the first. But the
children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them from the city unto the
highways.
07-20:39 And
when the men of Israel retired in the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about
thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, as in the first
battle.
09-14:14 And
that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his
armourbearer made, was about twenty men, within as it were an half acre of
land, which a yoke of oxen might plow.
09-14:35 And
Saul built an altar unto the LORD: the same was the first
altar that he built unto the LORD.
10-3:13 And
he said, Well; I will make a league with thee: but one thing I require of thee,
that is, Thou shalt not see my face, except thou first
bring Michal Saul’s daughter, when thou comest to see my face.
10-17:9 Behold,
he is hid now in some pit, or in some other
place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a
slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.
10-19:20 For
thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down
to meet my lord the king.
10-19:43 And
the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the
king, and we have also more right in
David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of
the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
10-21:9 And
he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the
hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven
together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in
the beginning of barley harvest.
10-23:19 Was
he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he
attained not unto the first three.
10-23:23 He
was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three.
And David set him over his guard.
11-16:23 In
the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah
began Omri to reign over Israel, twelve years: six years reigned he in Tirzah.

as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first,
and bring it unto me, and after make
for thee and for thy son.
11-18:25 And
Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves,
and dress it first;
for ye are many; and call on the name
of your gods, but put no fire under.
11-20:9 Wherefore
he said unto the messengers of Benhadad, Tell my lord the king, All that thou
didst send for to thy servant at the first I
will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought
him word again.
11-20:17 And
the young men of the princes of the provinces went out first;
and Benhadad sent out, and they told him, saying, There are men come out of
Samaria.
13-9:2 Now
the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.
13-11:6 And
David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first
shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief.
13-11:21 Of
the three, he was more honourable than the two; for he was their captain:
howbeit he attained not to the first three.
13-11:25 Behold,
he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the first three:
and David set him over his guard.
13-12:9 Ezer
the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
13-12:15 These
are they that went over Jordan in the
first month, when it had overflown all his
banks; and they put to flight all them of
the valleys, both toward the east,
and toward the west.
13-15:13 For
because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for
that we sought him not after the due order.
13-16:7 Then
on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the
hand of Asaph and his brethren.

the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah
the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
13-23:20 Of
the sons of Uzziel; Micah the first, and Jesiah
the second.
13-24:7 Now
the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the
second to Jedaiah,
13-24:21 Concerning
Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.
13-24:23 And
the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah
the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
13-25:9 Now
the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the

twenty and four thousand.
13-27:3 Of
the children of Perez was the chief of
all the captains of the host for the first

the acts of David the king, first and last,
behold, they are written in the book
of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of
Gad the seer,
14-3:3 Now
these are the things wherein Solomon
was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after
the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
14-9:29 Now
the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last,
are they not written in the book of
Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the
visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
14-12:15 Now
the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the book of
Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer concerning genealogies? And there were wars between Rehoboam and
Jeroboam continually.
14-16:11 And,
behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo,
they are written in the book of the
kings of Judah and Israel.
14-17:3 And
the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;
14-20:34 Now
the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and
last, behold, they are written in the
book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned
in the book of the kings of Israel.
14-25:26 Now
the rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last,
behold, are they not written in the
book of the kings of Judah and Israel?
14-26:22 Now
the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last,
did Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, write.
14-28:26 Now
the rest of his acts and of all his ways, first
and last, behold, they are written in
the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
14-29:3 He
in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of the
LORD, and repaired them.
14-29:17 Now
they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify,
and on the eighth day of the month came they to the porch of the LORD: so they sanctified
the house of the LORD in eight days; and in the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.
14-35:1 Moreover
Josiah kept a passover unto the LORD in Jerusalem: and they killed the passover
on the fourteenth day of the first month.
14-35:27 And
his deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of
Israel and Judah.
14-36:22 Now
in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that
the word of the LORD spoken by the
mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of
Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom,
and put it also in writing, saying,
15-1:1 Now
in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that
the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD
stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation
throughout all his kingdom, and put it also
in writing, saying,
15-3:6 From
the first day of the seventh month began they to
offer burnt offerings unto the LORD. But the foundation of the temple of the
LORD was not yet laid.
15-3:12 But
many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first
house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with
a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
15-5:13 But
in the first year of Cyrus the king of Babylon the same king Cyrus made a decree to
build this house of God.
15-6:3 In
the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at
Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices,
and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore
cubits, and the breadth thereof
threescore cubits;
15-6:19 And
the children of the captivity kept the passover upon the fourteenth day of the first
month.
15-7:9 For
upon the first day of the first month began he to
go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to
Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
15-8:31 Then
we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go unto
Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the
hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.
15-10:16 And
the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their
fathers, and all of them by their names,
were separated, and sat down in the first day of
the tenth month to examine the matter.
15-10:17 And
they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives by the first day of the first
month.
16-7:5 And
my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and
the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of
the genealogy of them which came up at the first,
and found written therein,
16-8:2 And
Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women,
and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first
day of the seventh month.
16-8:18 Also
day by day, from the first day unto the last
day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days;
and on the eighth day was a solemn
assembly, according unto the manner.
17-1:14 And
the next unto him was Carshena,
Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and
Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and Media, which saw the king’s face, and which sat the first in the kingdom;)
17-3:7 In
the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they
cast Pur, that is, the lot, before
Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that
is, the month Adar.
17-3:12 Then
were the king’s scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all
that Haman had commanded unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors that
were over every province, and to the
rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in
the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king’s ring.
18-15:7 Art thou the first
man that was born? or wast thou made
before the hills?
18-42:14 And
he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the
name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
20-18:17 He that is first
in his own cause seemeth just; but
his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.
23-1:26 And
I will restore thy judges as at the first, and
thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city
of righteousness, the faithful city.
23-9:1 Nevertheless
the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first
he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and
afterward did more grievously afflict her
by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
23-41:4 Who
hath wrought and done it, calling the
generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first,
and with the last; I am he.
23-41:27 The
first shall
say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that
bringeth good tidings.
23-43:27 Thy
first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have
transgressed against me.
23-44:6 Thus
saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first,
and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
23-48:12 Hearken
unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am
he; I am the first, I also am
the last.
23-60:9 Surely
the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first,
to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the
name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath
glorified thee.
24-4:31 For
I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.
24-7:12 But
go ye now unto my place which was in
Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and
see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
24-16:18 And
first I will recompense their iniquity and their
sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine
inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.
24-24:2 One
basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other
basket had very naughty figs, which
could not be eaten, they were so bad.
24-25:1 The
word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth
year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar
king of Babylon;
24-33:7 And
I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and
will build them, as at the first.
24-33:11 The
voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the
voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts:
for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house
of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
24-36:28 Take
thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath
burned.
24-50:17 Israel
is a scattered sheep; the lions have
driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last
this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.
24-52:31 And
it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin
king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up
the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,
26-10:14 And
every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second
face was the face of a man, and the
third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
26-26:1 And
it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first
day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me,
saying,
26-29:17 And
it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of
the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
26-30:20 And
it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first
month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
26-31:1 And
it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
26-32:1 And
it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of
the month, that the word of the LORD
came unto me, saying,
26-40:21 And
the little chambers thereof were three
on this side and three on that side; and the posts thereof and the arches
thereof were after the measure of the first
gate: the length thereof was fifty
cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.
26-44:30 And
the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of
every sort of your oblations, shall
be the priest’s: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in
thine house.
26-45:18 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; In the first month, in the first
day of the month, thou shalt take a
young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary:
26-45:21 In
the first month,
in the fourteenth day of the month, ye shall have the passover, a feast of
seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten.
26-46:13 Thou
shalt daily prepare a burnt offering unto the LORD of a lamb of the first year without
blemish: thou shalt prepare it every morning.
27-1:21 And
Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.
27-6:2 And
over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was
first: that the princes might give accounts
unto them, and the king should have no damage.
27-7:1 In
the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon
Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the
dream, and told the sum of the
matters.
27-7:4 The
first was like
a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked,
and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and
a man’s heart was given to it.
27-7:8 I
considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little
horn, before whom there were three of the first
horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
27-7:24 And
the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten
kings that shall arise: and another
shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
27-8:1 In
the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which
appeared unto me at the first.
27-8:21 And
the rough goat is the king of Grecia:
and the great horn that is between
his eyes is the first king.
27-9:1 In
the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus,
of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;
27-9:2 In
the first year of his reign I Daniel understood
by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah
the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of
Jerusalem.
27-10:4 And
in the four and twentieth day of the first
month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;
27-10:12 Then
said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first
day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself
before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
27-11:1 Also
I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen
him.
28-2:7 And
she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she
shall seek them, but shall not find them:
then shall she say, I will go and return to my first
husband; for then was it better with me
than now.
28-9:10 I
found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe
in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated
themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as
they loved.
29-2:23 Be
glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath
given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you
the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first
month.
30-6:7 Therefore
now shall they go captive with the first that go
captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.
33-4:8 And
thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee
shall it come, even the first dominion; the
kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
37-1:1 In
the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by
Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and
to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
37-2:3 Who
is left among you that saw this house
in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of
it as nothing?
38-6:2 In
the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
38-12:7 The
LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first,
that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of
Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against
Judah.
38-14:10 All
the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and
it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto
the place of the first gate, unto the corner
gate, and from the tower of Hananeel
unto the king’s winepresses.
40-5:24 Leave
there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first
be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
40-6:33 But
seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.
40-7:5 Thou
hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine
own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy
brother’s eye.
40-8:21 And
another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
40-10:2 Now
the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first,
Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
40-12:29 Or
else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except
he first bind the strong man? and then he will
spoil his house.
40-12:45 Then
goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself,
and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
40-13:30 Let
both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to
the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares,
and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
40-17:10 And
his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
40-17:11 And
Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first
come, and restore all things.
40-17:27 Notwithstanding,
lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up
the fish that first cometh up; and when thou
hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give
unto them for me and thee.
40-19:30 But
many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
40-20:8 So
when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the
labourers, and give them their hire,
beginning from the last unto the first.
40-20:10 But
when the first came, they supposed that they
should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
40-20:16 So
the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
40-21:28 But
what think ye? A certain man had two
sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son,
go work to day in my vineyard.
40-21:31 Whether
of them twain did the will of his father?
They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them,
Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom
of God before you.
40-21:36 Again,
he sent other servants more than the first: and
they did unto them likewise.
40-22:25 Now
there were with us seven brethren: and the first,
when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto
his brother:
40-22:38 This
is the first and great commandment.
40-23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which
is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
40-26:17 Now
the first day
of the feast of unleavened bread
the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare
for thee to eat the passover?
40-27:64 Command
therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his
disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is
risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
40-28:1 In
the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first
day of the week, came Mary Magdalene
and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
41-3:27 No
man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his
house.
41-4:28 For
the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first
the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
41-7:27 But
Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be
filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
41-9:11 And
they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
41-9:12 And
he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first,
and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must
suffer many things, and be set at nought.
41-9:35 And
he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to
be first, the
same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
41-10:31 But
many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
41-12:20 Now
there were seven brethren: and the first took a
wife, and dying left no seed.
41-12:28 And
one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and
perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
41-12:29 And
Jesus answered him, The first of all the
commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The
Lord our God is one Lord:
41-12:30 And
thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and
with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
41-13:10 And
the gospel must first be published among all
nations.
41-14:12 And
the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed
the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and
prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
41-16:2 And
very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the
sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
41-16:9 Now
when Jesus was risen early the first day of
the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene,
out of whom he had cast seven devils.
42-1:3 It
seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the
very first, to write unto thee in order, most
excellent Theophilus,
42-2:2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
42-6:1 And
it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first,
that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of
corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.
42-6:42 Either
how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in
thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of
thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in
thy brother’s eye.
42-9:59 And
he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
42-9:61 And
another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
42-10:5 And
into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace
be to this house.
42-11:26 Then
goeth he, and taketh to him seven
other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and
the last state of that man is worse
than the first.
42-11:38 And
when the Pharisee saw it, he
marvelled that he had not first washed before
dinner.
42-12:1 In
the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of
people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his
disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven
of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
42-13:30 And,
behold, there are last which shall be first, and
there are first which shall be last.
42-14:18 And
they all with one consent began to
make excuse. The first said unto him, I have
bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me
excused.
42-14:28 For
which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
42-14:31 Or
what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten
thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
42-16:5 So
he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto
him, and said unto the first, How much owest
thou unto my lord?
42-17:25 But
first must he suffer many things, and be
rejected of this generation.
42-19:16 Then
came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath
gained ten pounds.
42-20:29 There
were therefore seven brethren: and the first
took a wife, and died without children.
42-21:9 But
when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things
must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
42-24:1 Now
upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the
sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
43-1:41 He
first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith
unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
43-5:4 For
an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water:
whosoever then first after the troubling of the
water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
43-8:7 So
when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He
that is without sin among you, let him first
cast a stone at her.
43-10:40 And
went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
43-12:16 These
things understood not his disciples at the first:
but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were
written of him, and that they had
done these things unto him.
43-18:13 And
led him away to Annas first; for he was father
in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.
43-19:32 Then
came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first,
and of the other which was crucified with him.
43-19:39 And
there came also Nicodemus, which at the first
came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an
hundred pound weight.
43-20:1 The
first day of
the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre,
and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
43-20:4 So
they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.
43-20:8 Then
went in also that other disciple, which came first
to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.
43-20:19 Then
the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut
where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood
in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be
unto you.
44-3:26 Unto
you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus,
sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
44-7:12 But
when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.
44-11:26 And
when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a
whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people.
And the disciples were called Christians first
in Antioch.
44-12:10 When
they were past the first and the second ward,
they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of
his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and
forthwith the angel departed from him.
44-13:24 When
John had first preached before his coming the
baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
44-13:46 Then
Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God
should first have been spoken to you: but seeing
ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we
turn to the Gentiles.
44-15:14 Simeon
hath declared how God at the first did visit the
Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
44-20:7 And
upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread,
Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his
speech until midnight.
44-20:18 And
when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I
have been with you at all seasons,
44-26:4 My
manner of life from my youth, which was at the first
among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
44-26:20 But
shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at
Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and
do works meet for repentance.
44-26:23 That
Christ should suffer, and that he
should be the first that should rise from the
dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
44-27:43 But
the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast
themselves first
into the sea, and get to land:
45-1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you
all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
45-1:16 For
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first,
and also to the Greek.
45-2:9 Tribulation
and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
45-2:10 But
glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
45-10:19 But
I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I
will provoke you to jealousy by them that
are no people, and by a foolish
nation I will anger you.
45-11:35 Or
who hath first given to him, and it shall be
recompensed unto him again?
45-15:24 Whensoever
I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my
journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.
46-11:18 For
first of all, when ye come together in the
church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
46-12:28 And
God hath set some in the church, first apostles,
secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of
healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
46-14:30 If
any thing be revealed to another that
sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
46-15:3 For
I delivered unto you first of all that which I
also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
46-15:45 And
so it is written, The first man Adam was made a
living soul; the last Adam was made a
quickening spirit.
46-15:46 Howbeit
that was not first
which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is
spiritual.
46-15:47 The
first man is
of the earth, earthy: the second man is
the Lord from heaven.
46-16:2 Upon
the first day
of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no
gatherings when I come.
47-8:5 And
this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us
by the will of God.
47-8:12 For
if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man
hath, and not according to that he
hath not.
48-4:13 Ye
know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.
49-1:12 That
we should be to the praise of his glory, who first
trusted in Christ.
49-4:9 (Now
that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
49-6:2 Honour
thy father and mother; which is the first
commandment with promise;
50-1:5 For
your fellowship in the gospel from the first day
until now;
52-4:16 For
the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
53-2:3 Let
no man deceive you by any means: for that
day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of
perdition;
54-1:16 Howbeit
for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first
Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which
should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
54-2:1 I
exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and giving of
thanks, be made for all men;
54-2:13 For
Adam was first formed, then Eve.
54-3:10 And
let these also first be proved; then let them
use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
54-5:4 But
if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first
to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and
acceptable before God.
54-5:12 Having
damnation, because they have cast off their first
faith.
55-1:5 When
I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice;
and I am persuaded that in thee also.
55-2:6 The
husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker
of the fruits.
55-4:16 At
my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
56-3:10 A
man that is an heretick after the first and
second admonition reject;
58-2:3 How
shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was
confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
58-4:6 Seeing
therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
58-5:12 For
when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you
again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become
such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
58-7:2 To
whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first
being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of
Salem, which is, King of peace;
58-7:27 Who
needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for
this he did once, when he offered up himself.
58-8:7 For
if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought
for the second.
58-8:13 In
that he saith, A new covenant, he
hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth
and waxeth old is ready to vanish
away.
58-9:1 Then
verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly
sanctuary.
58-9:2 For
there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and
the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
58-9:6 Now
when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.
58-9:8 The
Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet
made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was
yet standing:
58-9:15 And
for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death,
for the redemption of the transgressions that
were under the first testament, they which
are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
58-9:18 Whereupon
neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
58-10:9 Then
said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
59-3:17 But
the wisdom that is from above is first pure,
then peaceable, gentle, and easy to
be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without
hypocrisy.
60-4:17 For
the time is come that judgment must
begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at
us, what shall the end be of them
that obey not the gospel of God?
61-1:20 Knowing
this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is
of any private interpretation.
61-3:3 Knowing
this first, that there shall come in the last
days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
62-4:19 We
love him, because he first loved us.
65-1:6 And
the angels which kept not their first estate,
but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under
darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
66-1:5 And
from Jesus Christ, who is the
faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the
kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his
own blood,
66-1:11 Saying,
I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:
and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and
unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto
Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
66-1:17 And
when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me,
saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the
last:
66-2:4 Nevertheless
I have somewhat against thee, because
thou hast left thy first love.
66-2:5 Remember
therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly,
and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
66-2:8 And
unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
66-2:19 I
know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy
works; and the last to be more than
the first.
66-4:1 After
this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened
in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with
me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be
hereafter.
66-4:7 And
the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third
beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
66-8:7 The
first angel sounded, and there followed hail and
fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part
of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
66-13:12 And
he exerciseth all the power of the first beast
before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
66-16:2 And
the first went, and poured out his vial upon the
earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the
mark of the beast, and upon them
which worshipped his image.
66-20:5 But
the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.
This is the first
resurrection.
66-20:6 Blessed
and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no
power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him
a thousand years.
66-21:1 And
I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first
heaven and the first earth were passed away; and
there was no more sea.
66-21:19 And
the foundations of the wall of the city were
garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first
foundation was jasper; the second,
sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
66-22:13 I
am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first
and the last.
