01-GENESIS
01-15:15 And
thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou
shalt be buried in a good old age.
01-31:3 And
the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers,
and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.
01-46:34 That
ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even
until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the
01-47:3 And
Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your
occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also
our fathers.
01-47:9 And
Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and
evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the
days of the years of the life of my fathers in
the days of their pilgrimage.
01-47:30 But
I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry
me out of
01-48:15 And
he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers
Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this
day,
01-48:16 The
Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named
on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and
Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
01-48:21 And
01-49:29 And
he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury
me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
02-3:13 And
Moses said unto God, Behold, when I
come unto the children of
02-3:15 And
God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of

they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers,
the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto
thee.
02-6:25 And
Eleazar Aaron’s son took him one of
the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Phinehas: these are the heads of the fathers of the Levites according to their families.
02-10:6 And
they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses
of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers,
nor thy fathers’ fathers have seen, since the
day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and
went out from Pharaoh.
02-12:3 Speak
ye unto all the congregation of
02-13:5 And
it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and
the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he
sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land
flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.
02-13:11 And
it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as
he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall
give it thee,
02-20:5 Thou
shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity
of the fathers upon the children unto the third
and fourth generation of them that
hate me;
02-34:7 Keeping
mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that
will by no means clear the guilty; visiting
the iniquity of the fathers upon the children,
and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
03-25:41 And
then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall
return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.
03-26:39 And
they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’
lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers
shall they pine away with them.
03-26:40 If
they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed
against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
04-1:2 Take
ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of
04-1:4 And
with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of
his fathers.
04-1:16 These
were the renowned of the
congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers,
heads of thousands in
04-1:18 And
they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after
their families, by the house of their fathers,
according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by
their polls.
04-1:20 And
the children of Reuben, Israel’s eldest son, by their generations, after their
families, by the house of their fathers,
according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty
years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:22 Of
the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the
house of their fathers, those that were numbered
of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from
twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:24 Of
the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of
their fathers, according to the number of the
names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:26 Of
the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house
of their fathers, according to the number of the
names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:28 Of
the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the
house of their fathers, according to the number
of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth
to war;
04-1:30 Of
the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the
house of their fathers, according to the number
of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth
to war;
04-1:32 Of
the children of Joseph, namely, of
the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the
house of their fathers, according to the number of
the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to
war;
04-1:34 Of
the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the
house of their fathers, according to the number
of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth
to war;
04-1:36 Of
the children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the
house of their fathers, according to the number of
the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to
war;
04-1:38 Of
the children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house
of their fathers, according to the number of the
names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:40 Of
the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house
of their fathers, according to the number of the
names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:42 Of
the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families,
by the house of their fathers, according to the
number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go
forth to war;
04-1:44 These
are those that were numbered, which
Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of
04-1:45 So
were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of
their fathers, from twenty years old and upward,
all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;
04-1:47 But
the Levites after the tribe of their fathers
were not numbered among them.
04-2:32 These
are those which were numbered of the

the children of Levi after the house of their fathers,
by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number
them.
04-3:20 And
the sons of Merari by their families; Mahli, and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites
according to the house of their fathers.
04-4:2 Take
the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families,
by the house of their fathers,
04-4:22 Take
also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families;
04-4:29 As
for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the
house of their fathers;
04-4:34 And
Moses and Aaron and the chief of the congregation numbered the sons of the
Kohathites after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
04-4:38 And
those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and
by the house of their fathers,
04-4:40 Even
those that were numbered of them, throughout their families, by the house of
their fathers, were two thousand and six hundred
and thirty.
04-4:42 And
those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, throughout
their families, by the house of their fathers,
04-4:46 All
those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chief of

04-11:12 Have
I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto
me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child,
unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?

thou men, that they may search the
04-14:18 The
LORD is longsuffering, and of great
mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children unto the third and
fourth generation.
04-14:23 Surely
they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers,
neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:
04-17:2 Speak
unto the children of
04-17:3 And
thou shalt write Aaron’s name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of
their fathers.
04-20:15 How
our fathers went down into
04-26:55 Notwithstanding
the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their
fathers they shall inherit.
04-31:26 Take
the sum of the prey that was taken, both of
man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:
04-32:8 Thus
did your fathers, when I sent them from
Kadeshbarnea to see the land.
04-32:28 So
concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun,
and the chief fathers of the tribes of the
children of
04-33:54 And
ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more
inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man’s inheritance shall be in the place where
his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers
ye shall inherit.
04-34:14 For
the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad
according to the house of their fathers, have
received their inheritance; and half
the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:
04-36:1 And
the chief fathers of the families of the
children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of
the sons of Joseph, came near, and spake before Moses, and before the princes,
the chief fathers of the children of Israel:
04-36:3 And
if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of
04-36:4 And

05-1:8 Behold,
I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware
unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to
give unto them and to their seed after them.
05-1:11 (The
LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand
times so many more as ye are, and
bless you, as he hath promised you!)
05-1:21 Behold,
the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the
LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee;
fear not, neither be discouraged.
05-1:35 Surely
there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land,
which I sware to give unto your fathers,
05-4:1 Now
therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I
teach you, for to do them, that ye
may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
05-4:31 (For
the LORD thy God is a merciful God;)
he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
05-4:37 And
because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose
their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power
out of Egypt;
05-5:3 The
LORD made not this covenant with our fathers,
but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.
05-5:9 Thou
shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity
of the fathers upon the children unto the third
and fourth generation of them that
hate me,
05-6:3 Hear
therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it;
that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the
LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in
the land that floweth with milk and honey.
05-6:10 And
it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which
he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac,
and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
05-6:18 And
thou shalt do that which is right and
good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou
mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
05-6:23 And
he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land
which he sware unto our fathers.
05-7:8 But
because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had
sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought
you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from
the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
05-7:12 Wherefore
it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them,
that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he
sware unto thy fathers:
05-7:13 And
he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the
fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine
oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which
he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
05-8:1 All
the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye
may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware
unto your fathers.
05-8:3 And
he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which
thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know;
that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every
word that proceedeth out of the mouth
of the LORD doth man live.
05-8:16 Who
fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers
knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee
good at thy latter end;
05-8:18 But
thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it
is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his
covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
05-9:5 Not
for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to
possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God
doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which
the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac,
and Jacob.
05-10:11 And
the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey
before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto
their fathers to give unto them.
05-10:15 Only
the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love
them, and he chose their seed after them, even
you above all people, as it is this
day.
05-10:22 Thy
fathers went down into
05-11:9 And
that ye may prolong your days in the
land, which the LORD sware unto your fathers to
give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
05-11:21 That
your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which
the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them,
as the days of heaven upon the earth.
05-12:1 These
are the statutes and judgments, which
ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that
ye live upon the earth.
05-13:6 If
thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of
thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as
thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods,
which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
05-13:17 And
there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the LORD may
turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion
upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;
05-19:8 And
if the LORD thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised
to give unto thy fathers;
05-24:16 The
fathers shall not be put to death for the
children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own
sin.
05-26:3 And
thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I
profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which
the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.
05-26:7 And
when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers,
the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our
oppression:
05-26:15 Look
down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people
05-27:3 And
thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed
over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a
land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
05-28:11 And
the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in
the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the
LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
05-28:36 The
LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a
nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have
known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
05-28:64 And
the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth
even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou
nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
05-29:13 That
he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he
hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers,
to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
05-29:25 Then
men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their
fathers, which he made with them when he brought
them forth out of the land of Egypt:
05-30:5 And
the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he
will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
05-30:9 And
the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the
fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy
land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he
rejoiced over thy fathers:
05-30:20 That
thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that
thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days:
that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give
them.
05-31:7 And
Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all
05-31:16 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring
after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me,
and break my covenant which I have made with them.
05-31:20 For
when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they
shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto
other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.
05-32:17 They
sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
06-1:6 Be
strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an
inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers
to give them.
06-4:6 That
this may be a sign among you, that when
your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?
06-4:21 And
he spake unto the children of
06-5:6 For
the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the
people that were men of war, which
came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the
LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the
LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give
us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
06-14:1 And
these are the countries which the
children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest,
and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers
of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance to them.
06-18:3 And
Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
06-19:51 These
are the inheritances, which Eleazar
the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of
06-21:1 Then
came near the heads of the fathers of the
Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the
heads of the fathers of the tribes of the
children of
06-21:43 And
the LORD gave unto
06-21:44 And
the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their
enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
06-22:14 And
with him ten princes, of each chief house a prince throughout all the tribes of
Israel; and each one was an head of
the house of their fathers among the thousands
of Israel.
06-22:28 Therefore
said we, that it shall be, when they should so
say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the pattern of the altar
of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for
burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it is
a witness between us and you.
06-24:2 And
Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old
time, even Terah, the father of
Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.
06-24:6 And
I brought your fathers out of
06-24:14 Now
therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away
the gods which your fathers served on the other
side of the flood, and in
06-24:15 And
if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will
serve; whether the gods which your fathers
served that were on the other side of
the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me
and my house, we will serve the LORD.
06-24:17 For
the LORD our God, he it is that
brought us up and our fathers out of the
07-2:1 And
an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go
up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant
with you.
07-2:10 And
also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers:
and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet
the works which he had done for
07-2:12 And
they forsook the LORD God of their fathers,
which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the
gods of the people that were round
about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
07-2:17 And
yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other
gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which
their fathers walked in, obeying the
commandments of the LORD; but they
did not so.
07-2:19 And
it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that
they returned, and corrupted themselves
more than their fathers, in following other
gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own
doings, nor from their stubborn way.
07-2:20 And
the anger of the LORD was hot against
07-2:22 That
through them I may prove
07-3:4 And
they were to prove
07-6:13 And
Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this
befallen us? and where be all his
miracles which our fathers told us of, saying,
Did not the LORD bring us up from
07-21:22 And
it shall be, when their fathers or their
brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favourable
unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his wife in the
war: for ye did not give unto them at this time, that ye should be guilty.
09-12:6 And
Samuel said unto the people, It is the
LORD that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the
09-12:7 Now
therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD of all the
righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to you and to your fathers.
09-12:8 When
Jacob was come into Egypt, and your fathers
cried unto the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, which brought forth your
fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in
this place.
09-12:15 But
if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of
the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.
10-7:12 And
when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which
shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
11-1:21 Otherwise
it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted
offenders.
11-2:10 So
David slept with his fathers, and was buried in
the city of
11-8:1 Then
Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the
chief of the fathers of the children of Israel,
unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the
covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.
11-8:21 And
I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the
11-8:34 Then
hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people
11-8:40 That
they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest
unto our fathers.
11-8:48 And
so return unto thee with all their
heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them
away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto
their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen,
and the house which I have built for thy name:
11-8:53 For
thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest
by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.
11-8:57 The
LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers:
let him not leave us, nor forsake us:
11-8:58 That
he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his
commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.
11-9:9 And
they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth
their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have
taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them:
therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.
11-11:21 And
when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers,
and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me
depart, that I may go to mine own country.
11-11:43 And
Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in
the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
11-13:22 But
camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread,
and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
11-14:15 For
the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall
root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river,
because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger.
11-14:20 And
the days which Jeroboam reigned were two
and twenty years: and he slept with his fathers,
and Nadab his son reigned in his stead.
11-14:22 And
Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked him to jealousy with
their sins which they had committed, above all that their fathers had done.
11-14:31 And
Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried
with his fathers in the city of David. And his
mother’s name was Naamah an
Ammonitess. And Abijam his son reigned in his stead.
11-15:8 And
Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried
him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.
11-15:12 And
he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
11-15:24 And
Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with
his fathers in the city of David his father: and
Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.
11-16:6 So
Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in
Tirzah: and Elah his son reigned in his stead.
11-16:28 So
Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in
Samaria: and Ahab his son reigned in his stead.
11-19:4 But
he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under
a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is
enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
11-21:3 And
Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance
of my fathers unto thee.
11-21:4 And
Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth
the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the
inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down
upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.
11-22:40 So
Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son
reigned in his stead.
11-22:50 And
Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was
buried with his fathers in the city of David his
father: and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.
12-8:24 And
Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried
with his fathers in the city of David: and
Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.
12-9:28 And
his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his
sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.
12-10:35 And
Jehu slept with his fathers: and they buried him
in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son reigned in his stead.
12-12:18 And
Jehoash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat, and
Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of
Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the
house of the LORD, and in the king’s house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.
12-12:21 For
Jozachar the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants,
smote him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers
in the city of David: and Amaziah his son reigned in his stead.
12-13:9 And
Jehoahaz slept with his fathers; and they buried
him in Samaria: and Joash his son reigned in his stead.
12-13:13 And
Joash slept with his fathers; and Jeroboam sat
upon his throne: and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
12-14:6 But
the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written
in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children,
nor the children be put to death for the fathers;
but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
12-14:16 And
Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried
in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead.
12-14:20 And
they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.
12-14:22 He
built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.
12-14:29 And
Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel; and
Zachariah his son reigned in his stead.
12-15:7 So
Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried
him with his fathers in the city of David: and
Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
12-15:9 And
he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he
departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to
sin.
12-15:22 And
Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his
son reigned in his stead.
12-15:38 And
Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried
with his fathers in the city of David his
father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
12-16:20 And
Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with
his fathers in the city of David: and Hezekiah
his son reigned in his stead.
12-17:13 Yet
the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye
from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the
prophets.
12-17:14 Notwithstanding
they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.
12-17:15 And
they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified
against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the
heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged
them, that they should not do like them.
12-17:41 So
these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their
children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers,
so do they unto this day.
12-19:12 Have
the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers
have destroyed; as Gozan, and Haran,
and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were
in Thelasar?
12-20:17 Behold,
the days come, that all that is in
thine house, and that which thy fathers have
laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be
left, saith the LORD.
12-20:21 And
Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh
his son reigned in his stead.
12-21:8 Neither
will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their
fathers; only if they will observe to do
according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that
my servant Moses commanded them.
12-21:15 Because
they have done that which was evil in
my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
12-21:18 And
Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried
in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned
in his stead.
12-21:22 And
he forsook the LORD God of his fathers, and
walked not in the way of the LORD.
12-22:13 Go
ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah,
concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this
book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.
12-22:20 Behold
therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers,
and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not
see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king
word again.
12-23:32 And
he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers
had done.
12-23:37 And
he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers
had done.
12-24:6 So
Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin
his son reigned in his stead.
13-4:38 These
mentioned by their names were princes in their families: and the
house of their fathers increased greatly.
13-5:13 And
their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba,
and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
13-5:15 Ahi
the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
13-5:24 And
these were the heads of the house of
their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel,
and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour,
famous men, and heads of the house of
their fathers.
13-5:25 And
they transgressed against the God of their fathers,
and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed
before them.
13-6:19 The
sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. And these are
the families of the Levites according to their fathers.
13-7:4 And
with them, by their generations, after the house of their fathers, were bands
of soldiers for war, six and thirty thousand men: for they had many wives and sons.
13-7:7 And
the sons of Bela; Ezbon, and Uzzi, and Uzziel, and Jerimoth, and Iri, five;
heads of the house of their fathers, mighty men of valour; and were reckoned by
their genealogies twenty and two thousand and thirty and four.
13-7:9 And
the number of them, after their genealogy by their generations, heads of the
house of their fathers, mighty men of valour, was twenty thousand and two hundred.
13-7:11 All
these the sons of Jediael, by the heads of their fathers,
mighty men of valour, were seventeen
thousand and two hundred soldiers, fit
to go out for war and battle.
13-8:6 And
these are the sons of Ehud: these are
the heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of
Geba, and they removed them to Manahath:
13-8:10 And
Jeuz, and Shachia, and Mirma. These were his
sons, heads of the fathers.
13-8:13 Beriah
also, and Shema, who were heads of
the fathers of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who
drove away the inhabitants of Gath:
13-8:28 These
were heads of the fathers, by their generations, chief men. These dwelt in Jerusalem.
13-9:9 And
their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six.
All these men were chief of the fathers in the house of their fathers.
13-9:13 And
their brethren, heads of the house of their fathers,
a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; very able men for the work of the
service of the house of God.
13-9:19 And
Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his
brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the
tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the LORD, were keepers of the entry.
13-9:33 And
these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were
free: for they were employed in that work
day and night.
13-9:34 These
chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations;
these dwelt at Jerusalem.
13-12:17 And
David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come
peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies,
seeing there is no wrong in mine
hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
13-12:30 And
of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of
valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.
13-15:12 And
said unto them, Ye are the chief of
the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves,
both ye and your brethren, that ye
may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
13-17:11 And
it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers,
that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I
will establish his kingdom.
13-23:9 The
sons of Shimei; Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the chief of the fathers of Laadan.
13-23:24 These
were the sons of Levi after the house
of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as
they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the
service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.
13-24:4 And
there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of
Ithamar; and thus were they divided.
Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen
chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according
to the house of their fathers.
13-24:6 And
Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one
of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the
priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of
the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.
13-24:30 The
sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after the house of their fathers.
13-24:31 These
likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the
presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal
fathers over against their younger brethren.
13-26:13 And
they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their
fathers, for every gate.
13-26:21 As concerning the sons of Laadan; the
sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, were Jehieli.
13-26:26 Which
Shelomith and his brethren were over
all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and
the captains of the host, had dedicated.
13-26:31 Among
the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief,
even among the Hebronites, according
to the generations of his fathers. In the
fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found
among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.
13-26:32 And
his brethren, men of valour, were two
thousand and seven hundred chief fathers, whom
king David made rulers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of
Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and affairs of the king.
13-27:1 Now
the children of Israel after their number, to
wit, the chief fathers and captains of
thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter
of the courses, which came in and went out month by month throughout all the
months of the year, of every course were twenty
and four thousand.
13-29:6 Then
the chief of the fathers and princes of the
tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the
rulers of the king’s work, offered willingly,
13-29:15 For
we are strangers before thee, and
sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is
none abiding.
13-29:18 O
LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers,
keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy
people, and prepare their heart unto thee:
13-29:20 And
David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the
congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers,
and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.
14-1:2 Then
Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds,
and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.
14-5:2 Then
Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the
chief of the fathers of the children of Israel,
unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city
of David, which is Zion.
14-6:25 Then
hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring
them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers.
14-6:31 That
they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, so long as they live in the land which
thou gavest unto our fathers.
14-6:38 If
they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of
their captivity, whither they have carried them captives, and pray toward their
land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and toward the city which thou hast chosen,
and toward the house which I have built for thy name:
14-7:22 And
it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of
Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore
hath he brought all this evil upon them.
14-9:31 And
Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was
buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his
stead.
14-11:16 And
after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the
LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.
14-12:16 And
Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried
in the city of David: and Abijah his son reigned in his stead.
14-13:12 And,
behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with
sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not
against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye
shall not prosper.
14-13:18 Thus
the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of
Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.
14-14:1 So
Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried
him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the
land was quiet ten years.
14-14:4 And
commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers,
and to do the law and the commandment.
14-15:12 And
they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;
14-16:13 And
Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one
and fortieth year of his reign.
14-17:14 And
these are the numbers of them
according to the house of their fathers: Of Judah,
the captains of thousands; Adnah the chief, and with him mighty men of valour
three hundred thousand.
14-19:4 And
Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again through the people from
Beersheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back unto the LORD God of their fathers.
14-19:8 Moreover
in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the chief of the fathers
of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they
returned to Jerusalem.
14-20:6 And
said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the
heathen? and in thine hand is there not power
and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
14-20:33 Howbeit
the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared
their hearts unto the God of their fathers.
14-21:1 Now
Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was
buried with his fathers in the city of David.
And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.
14-21:10 So
the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time
also did Libnah revolt from under his
hand; because he had forsaken the LORD God of his fathers.
14-21:19 And
it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his
bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his
people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.
14-23:2 And
they went about in Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of
Judah, and the chief of the fathers of Israel,
and they came to Jerusalem.
14-24:18 And
they left the house of the LORD God of their fathers,
and served groves and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this
their trespass.
14-24:24 For
the army of the Syrians came with a small company of men, and the LORD
delivered a very great host into their hand, because they had forsaken the LORD
God of their fathers. So they executed judgment
against Joash.
14-25:4 But
he slew not their children, but did as
it is written in the law in the book
of Moses, where the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers
shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.
14-25:5 Moreover
Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and
captains over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah
and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found
them three hundred thousand choice men,
able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.
14-25:28 And
they brought him upon horses, and buried him with his fathers
in the city of Judah.
14-26:2 He
built Eloth, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.
14-26:12 The
whole number of the chief of the fathers of the
mighty men of valour were two
thousand and six hundred.
14-26:23 So
Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried
him with his fathers in the field of the burial
which belonged to the kings; for they
said, He is a leper: and Jotham his
son reigned in his stead.
14-27:9 And
Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried
him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
14-28:6 For
Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah an hundred and twenty thousand in one
day, which were all valiant men;
because they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers.
14-28:9 But
a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was
Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto
them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers
was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain
them in a rage that reacheth up unto
heaven.
14-28:25 And
in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other
gods, and provoked to anger the LORD God of his fathers.
14-28:27 And
Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him
in the city, even in Jerusalem: but
they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah
his son reigned in his stead.
14-29:5 And
said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites, sanctify now yourselves, and sanctify the
house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry
forth the filthiness out of the holy place.
14-29:6 For
our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the eyes of the
LORD our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the
habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.
14-29:9 For,
lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and
our sons and our daughters and our wives are
in captivity for this.
14-30:7 And
be not ye like your fathers, and like your
brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore
gave them up to desolation, as ye see.
14-30:8 Now
be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the
LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and
serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from
you.
14-30:19 That prepareth his heart to seek God,
the LORD God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.
14-30:22 And
Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge
of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace
offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.
14-31:17 Both
to the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers,
and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their charges by their
courses;
14-32:13 Know
ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all
the people of other lands? were the
gods of the nations of those lands any ways able to deliver their lands out of
mine hand?
14-32:14 Who
was there among all the gods of those
nations that my fathers utterly destroyed, that
could deliver his people out of mine hand, that your God should be able to deliver
you out of mine hand?
14-32:15 Now
therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner,
neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to
deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out
of mine hand?
14-32:33 And
Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried
him in the chiefest of the sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Judah and
the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honour at his death. And Manasseh his son
reigned in his stead.
14-33:8 Neither
will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have
appointed for your fathers; so that they will
take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and
the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
14-33:12 And
when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself
greatly before the God of his fathers,
14-33:20 So
Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried
him in his own house: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
14-34:21 Go,
enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah,
concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do
after all that is written in this book.
14-34:28 Behold,
I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou
shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the
evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same.
So they brought the king word again.
14-34:32 And
he caused all that were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand to it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did
according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.
14-34:33 And
Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel, and
made all that were present in Israel to serve, even to serve the LORD their God. And all his days they departed not from following the LORD, the God
of their fathers.
14-35:4 And
prepare yourselves by the houses of
your fathers, after your courses, according to
the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon
his son.
14-35:5 And
stand in the holy place according to
the divisions of the families of the fathers of
your brethren the people, and after the
division of the families of the Levites.
14-35:24 His
servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second
chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was
buried in one of the sepulchres of
his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned
for Josiah.
14-36:15 And
the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by
his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on
his people, and on his dwelling place:
15-1:5 Then
rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and
Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of
the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
15-2:68 And
some of the chief of the fathers, when they came to the house of the LORD which
is at Jerusalem, offered freely for
the house of God to set it up in his place:
15-3:12 But
many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers,
who were ancient men, that had seen
the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept
with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
15-4:2 Then
they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers,
and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since
the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither.
15-4:3 But
Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to
do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build
unto the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded
us.
15-4:15 That
search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers:
so shalt thou find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto
kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old
time: for which cause was this city destroyed.
15-5:12 But
after that our fathers had provoked the God of
heaven unto wrath, he gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of
Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away
into Babylon.
15-7:27 Blessed
be the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of
the LORD which is in Jerusalem:
15-8:1 These
are now the chief of their fathers, and this
is the genealogy of them that went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of
Artaxerxes the king.
15-8:28 And
I said unto them, Ye are holy unto
the LORD; the vessels are holy also;
and the silver and the gold are a
freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.
15-8:29 Watch
ye, and keep them, until ye weigh them before the chief of the priests and
the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel,
at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the LORD.
15-9:7 Since
the days of our fathers have we been in a great
trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the
hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and
to confusion of face, as it is this
day.
15-10:11 Now
therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers,
and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and
from the strange wives.
15-10:16 And
the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers,
after the house of their fathers, and all of
them by their names, were separated,
and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.
16-7:70 And
some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the
work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty
basons, five hundred and thirty priests’ garments.
16-7:71 And
some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty
thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.
16-8:13 And
on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the
Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.
16-9:2 And
the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and
confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.
16-9:9 And
didst see the affliction of our fathers in
Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;
16-9:16 But
they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened
their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
16-9:23 Their
children also multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them
into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it.
16-9:32 Now
therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest
covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath
come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our
prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy
people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
16-9:34 Neither
have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers,
kept thy law, nor hearkened unto thy commandments and thy testimonies,
wherewith thou didst testify against them.
16-9:36 Behold,
we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof,
behold, we are servants in it:
16-10:34 And
we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood
offering, to bring it into the house
of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at
times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law:
16-11:13 And
his brethren, chief of the fathers, two hundred
forty and two: and Amashai the son of Azareel, the son of Ahasai, the son of
Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,
16-12:12 And
in the days of Joiakim were priests, the chief of the fathers:
of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
16-12:22 The
Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded chief of the fathers: also the priests, to the reign of Darius the
Persian.
16-12:23 The
sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the
chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.
16-13:18 Did
not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring
all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel
by profaning the sabbath.
18-8:8 For
enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of
their fathers:
18-15:18 Which
wise men have told from their fathers, and have
not hid it:
18-30:1 But
now they that are younger than I have
me in derision, whose fathers I would have
disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
19-22:4 Our
fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou
didst deliver them.
19-39:12 Hear
my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears:
for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
19-44:1 We
have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers
have told us, what work thou didst in
their days, in the times of old.
19-45:16 Instead
of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou
mayest make princes in all the earth.
19-49:19 He
shall go to the generation of his fathers; they
shall never see light.
19-78:3 Which
we have heard and known, and our fathers have
told us.
19-78:5 For
he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he
commanded our fathers, that they should make
them known to their children:
19-78:8 And
might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and
rebellious generation; a generation that set
not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.
19-78:12 Marvellous
things did he in the sight of their fathers, in
the land of Egypt, in the field of
Zoan.
19-78:57 But
turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers:
they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.
19-95:9 When
your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my
work.
19-106:6 We
have sinned with our fathers, we have committed
iniquity, we have done wickedly.
19-106:7 Our
fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt;
they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
19-109:14 Let
the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with
the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
20-17:6 Children’s
children are the crown of old men;
and the glory of children are their fathers.
20-19:14 House
and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.
20-22:28 Remove
not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have
set.
23-14:21 Prepare
slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers;
that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world
with cities.
23-37:12 Have
the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers
have destroyed, as Gozan, and Haran,
and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were
in Telassar?
23-39:6 Behold,
the days come, that all that is in
thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be
carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.
23-49:23 And
kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their
queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up
the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
23-64:11 Our
holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers
praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid
waste.
23-65:7 Your
iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers
together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and
blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into
their bosom.
24-2:5 Thus
saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found
in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are
become vain?
24-3:18 In
those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they
shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given
for an inheritance unto your fathers.
24-3:24 For
shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers
from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
24-3:25 We
lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned
against the LORD our God, we and our fathers,
from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD
our God.
24-6:21 Therefore
thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and
the fathers and the sons together shall fall
upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
24-7:7 Then
will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
24-7:14 Therefore
will I do unto this house, which is called
by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to
your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
24-7:18 The
children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the
fire, and the women knead their dough,
to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto
other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
24-7:22 For
I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded
them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt
offerings or sacrifices:
24-7:25 Since
the day that your fathers came forth out of the
land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the
prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:
24-7:26 Yet
they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck:
they did worse than their fathers.
24-9:14 But
have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which
their fathers taught them:
24-9:16 I
will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after
them, till I have consumed them.
24-11:4 Which
I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the
land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them,
according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be
your God:
24-11:5 That
I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers,
to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.
24-11:7 For
I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the
day that I brought them up out of the
land of Egypt, even unto this day,
rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.
24-11:10 They
are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear
my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and
the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
24-13:14 And
I will dash them one against another, even the fathers
and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have
mercy, but destroy them.
24-14:20 We
acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the
iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned
against thee.
24-16:3 For
thus saith the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are
born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning
their fathers that begat them in this land;
24-16:11 Then
shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have
forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served
them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;
24-16:12 And
ye have done worse than your fathers; for,
behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they
may not hearken unto me:
24-16:13 Therefore
will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and
night; where I will not shew you favour.
24-16:15 But,
The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the
north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them
again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
24-16:19 O
LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the
Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely
our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
24-17:22 Neither
carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any
work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.
24-19:4 Because
they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense
in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers
have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood
of innocents;
24-23:27 Which
think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell
every man to his neighbour, as their fathers
have forgotten my name for Baal.
24-23:39 Therefore,
behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the
city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:
24-24:10 And
I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be
consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.
24-25:5 They
said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your
doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:
24-30:3 For,
lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my
people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the
land that I gave to their fathers, and they
shall possess it.
24-31:29 In
those days they shall say no more, The fathers
have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.
24-31:32 Not
according to the covenant that I made with their fathers
in the day that I took them by the
hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake,
although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
24-32:18 Thou
shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them:
the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
24-32:22 And
hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and
honey;
24-34:5 But thou shalt die in peace: and with
the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings
which were before thee, so shall they burn odours
for thee; and they will lament thee, saying,
Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD.
24-34:13 Thus
saith the LORD, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of
the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying,
24-34:14 At
the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath
been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him
go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened
not unto me, neither inclined their ear.
24-35:15 I
have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and
sending them, saying, Return ye now
every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods
to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to
your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear,
nor hearkened unto me.
24-44:3 Because
of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that
they went to burn incense, and to
serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither
they, ye, nor your fathers.
24-44:9 Have
ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and
the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and
your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have
committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
24-44:10 They
are not humbled even unto this day,
neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set
before you and before your fathers.
24-44:17 But
we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn
incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as
we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings,
and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were
well, and saw no evil.
24-44:21 The
incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem,
ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your
princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came
it not into his mind?
24-47:3 At
the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers
shall not look back to their children
for feebleness of hands;
24-50:7 All
that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not,
because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the
LORD, the hope of their fathers.
25-5:7 Our
fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.
26-2:3 And
he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a
rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.
26-5:10 Therefore
the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of
thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and
I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter
into all the winds.
26-18:2 What
mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s
teeth are set on edge?
26-20:4 Wilt
thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge them? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:
26-20:18 But
I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of
your fathers, neither observe their judgments,
nor defile yourselves with their idols:
26-20:27 Therefore,
son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have
blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.
26-20:30 Wherefore
say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after
the manner of your fathers? and commit ye
whoredom after their abominations?
26-20:36 Like
as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness
of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.
26-20:42 And
ye shall know that I am the LORD,
when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to
give it to your fathers.
26-36:28 And
ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers;
and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
26-37:25 And
they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein
your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell
therein, even they, and their
children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.
26-47:14 And
ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for
inheritance.
27-2:23 I
thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers,
who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we
desired of thee: for thou hast now made
known unto us the king’s matter.
27-9:6 Neither
have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to
our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to
all the people of the land.
27-9:8 O
Lord, to us belongeth confusion of
face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers,
because we have sinned against thee.
27-9:16 O
Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and
thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for
our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers,
Jerusalem and thy people are become a
reproach to all that are about us.
27-11:24 He
shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he
shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers’ fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and
spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall
forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.
27-11:37 Neither
shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the
desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
27-11:38 But
in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and
silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
28-9:10 I
found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers
as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
29-1:2 Hear
this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been
in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?
30-2:4 Thus
saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not
turn away the punishment thereof;
because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his
commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked:
33-7:20 Thou
wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the
mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers
from the days of old.
38-1:2 The
LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.
38-1:4 Be
ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets
have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil
ways, and from your evil doings: but
they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.
38-1:5 Your
fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
38-1:6 But
my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they
not take hold of your fathers? and they returned
and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our
ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
38-8:14 For
thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts,
and I repented not:
39-2:10 Have
we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal
treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
39-3:7 Even
from the days of your fathers ye are gone away
from mine ordinances, and have not kept them.
Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye
said, Wherein shall we return?
39-4:6 And
he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the
children, and the heart of the children to their fathers,
lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
40-23:30 And
say, If we had been in the days of our fathers,
we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
40-23:32 Fill
ye up then the measure of your fathers.
42-1:17 And
he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of
the fathers to the children, and the disobedient
to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
42-1:55 As
he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his
seed for ever.
42-1:72 To
perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
42-6:23 Rejoice
ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
42-6:26 Woe
unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
42-11:47 Woe
unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
42-11:48 Truly
ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers:
for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.
43-4:20 Our
fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say,
that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
43-6:31 Our
fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is
written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
43-6:49 Your
fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are
dead.
43-6:58 This
is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers
did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
43-7:22 Moses
therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.
44-3:13 The
God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye
delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined
to let him go.
44-3:22 For
Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet
shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him
shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
44-3:25 Ye
are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall
all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
44-5:30 The
God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew
and hanged on a tree.
44-7:2 And
he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken;
The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia,
before he dwelt in Charran,
44-7:11 Now
there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great
affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.
44-7:12 But
when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.
44-7:15 So
Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,
44-7:19 The
same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children,
to the end they might not live.
44-7:32 Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God
of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled,
and durst not behold.
44-7:38 This
is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to
him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto
us:
44-7:39 To
whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts
turned back again into Egypt,
44-7:44 Our
fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the
wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it
according to the fashion that he had seen.
44-7:45 Which
also our fathers that came after brought in with
Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face
of our fathers, unto the days of David;
44-7:51 Ye
stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy
Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
44-7:52 Which
of the prophets have not your fathers
persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the
Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
44-13:17 The
God of this people of Israel chose our fathers,
and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and
with an high arm brought he them out of it.
44-13:32 And
we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
44-13:36 For
David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on
sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw
corruption:
44-15:10 Now
therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which
neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
44-22:1 Men,
brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.
44-22:3 I
am verily a man which am a Jew, born
in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet
brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are
this day.
44-22:14 And
he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen
thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest
hear the voice of his mouth.
44-24:14 But
this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship
I the God of my fathers, believing all things
which are written in the law and in the prophets:
44-26:6 And
now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:
44-28:17 And
it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews
together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed
nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers,
yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
44-28:25 And
when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had
spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
45-9:5 Whose
are the fathers,
and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came,
who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
45-15:8 Now
I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of
God, to confirm the promises made unto
the fathers:
46-4:15 For
though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in
Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
46-10:1 Moreover,
brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through
the sea;
48-1:14 And
profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more
exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
49-6:4 And,
ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath:
but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
51-3:21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
54-1:9 Knowing
this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and
disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for
murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers,
for manslayers,
58-1:1 God,
who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
58-3:9 When
your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my
works forty years.
58-8:9 Not
according to the covenant that I made with their fathers
in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt;
because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the
Lord.
58-12:9 Furthermore
we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected
us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the
Father of spirits, and live?
60-1:18 Forasmuch
as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation
received by tradition from your fathers;
61-3:4 And
saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the
creation.
62-2:13 I
write unto you, fathers, because ye have known
him that is from the beginning. I
write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write
unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
62-2:14 I
have written unto you, fathers, because ye have
known him that is from the beginning.
I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God
abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

02-EXODUS
02-6:14 These
be the heads of their fathers’ houses: The sons of Reuben the firstborn of
Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these be the families of Reuben.
02-10:6 And
they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses
of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they
were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from
Pharaoh.
04-17:6 And
Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave
him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, even
twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was
among their rods.
04-26:2 Take
the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years
old and upward, throughout their fathers’ house,
all that are able to go to war in Israel.
04-32:14 And,
behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead,
an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward
Israel.
16-2:3 And
said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance
be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’
sepulchres, lieth waste, and the
gates thereof are consumed with fire?
16-2:5 And
I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found
favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my
fathers’ sepulchres, that I may build it.
26-20:24 Because
they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had
polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’
idols.
26-22:10 In
thee have they discovered their fathers’
nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.
27-11:24 He
shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he
shall do that which his fathers have
not done, nor his fathers’ fathers; he shall
scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds,
even for a time.
45-11:28 As
concerning the gospel, they are enemies
for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’
sakes.
