01-GENESIS
01-4:20 And
Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell
in tents, and of such as have cattle.
01-9:27 God
shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the
tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
01-13:6 And
the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell
together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
01-16:12 And
he will be a wild man; his hand will be against
every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
01-19:30 And
Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with
him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he
dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
01-20:15 And
Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before
thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
01-24:3 And
I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the
earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the
Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
01-24:37 And
my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the
daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:
01-26:2 And
the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
01-30:20 And
Leah said, God hath endued me with a
good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me,
because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.
01-34:10 And
ye shall dwell with us: and the land shall be
before you; dwell and trade ye therein, and get
you possessions therein.
01-34:16 Then
will we give our daughters unto you, and we will take your daughters to us, and
we will dwell with you, and we will become one
people.
01-34:21 These
men are peaceable with us; therefore let
them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for
the land, behold, it is large enough
for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our
daughters.
01-34:22 Only
herein will the men consent unto us for to dwell
with us, to be one people, if every male among us be circumcised, as they are circumcised.
01-34:23 Shall not their cattle and their
substance and every beast of theirs be ours?
only let us consent unto them, and they will dwell
with us.
01-35:1 And
God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell
there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou
fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
01-36:7 For
their riches were more than that they might dwell
together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because
of their cattle.
01-45:10 And
thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou
shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children’s children, and
thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:
01-46:34 That
ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even
until now, both we, and also our
fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of
Goshen; for every shepherd is an
abomination unto the Egyptians.
01-47:4 They
said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy
servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy
servants dwell in the land of Goshen.
01-47:6 The
land of Egypt is before thee; in the
best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell;
in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if
thou knowest any men of activity
among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.
01-49:13 Zebulun
shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his
border shall be unto Zidon.
02-2:21 And
Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he
gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.
02-8:22 And
I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.
02-15:17 Thou
shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the
Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands
have established.
02-23:33 They
shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee
sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto
thee.
02-25:8 And
let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell
among them.
02-29:45 And
I will dwell among the children of Israel, and
will be their God.
02-29:46 And
they shall know that I am the LORD
their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the LORD their God.
03-13:46 All
the days wherein the plague shall be in
him he shall be defiled; he is unclean:
he shall dwell alone; without the camp shall his habitation be.
03-20:22 Ye
shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that
the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein,
spue you not out.
03-23:42 Ye
shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are
Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
03-23:43 That
your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land
of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
03-25:18 Wherefore
ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
03-25:19 And
the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
03-26:5 And
your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto
the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
03-26:32 And
I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
04-5:3 Both
male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they
defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
04-13:19 And
what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they
be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in
strong holds;
04-13:28 Nevertheless
the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very
great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
04-13:29 The
Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the
Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell
in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by
the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
04-14:30 Doubtless
ye shall not come into the land, concerning
which I sware to make you dwell therein,
save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
04-23:9 For
from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the
people shall dwell alone, and shall not be
reckoned among the nations.
04-32:17 But
we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have
brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants
of the land.
04-33:53 And
ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of
the land, and dwell therein: for I have given
you the land to possess it.
04-33:55 But
if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it
shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall
vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
04-35:2 Command
the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of
their possession cities to dwell in; and ye
shall give also unto the Levites
suburbs for the cities round about them.
04-35:3 And
the cities shall they have to dwell in; and the
suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all
their beasts.
04-35:32 And
ye shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that
he should come again to dwell in the land, until
the death of the priest.
04-35:34 Defile
not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell
among the children of Israel.
05-2:4 And
command thou the people, saying, Ye are to
pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take
ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:
05-2:29 (As
the children of Esau which dwell in Seir, and
the Moabites which dwell in Ar, did unto me;)
until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which the LORD our God giveth us.
05-11:30 Are they not on the other side Jordan,
by the way where the sun goeth down, in the land of the Canaanites, which dwell in the champaign over against Gilgal, beside the
plains of Moreh?
05-11:31 For
ye shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God
giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell
therein.
05-12:10 But
when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you
to inherit, and when he giveth you
rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell
in safety;
05-12:11 Then
there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name
to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that
I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the
heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the
LORD:
05-13:12 If
thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities,
which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell
there, saying,
05-17:14 When
thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt
possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt
say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
05-23:16 He
shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy
gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.
05-25:5 If
brethren dwell together, and one of them die,
and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a
stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to
wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.
05-28:30 Thou
shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an
house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou
shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
05-30:20 That
thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that
thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days:
that thou mayest dwell in the land which the
LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
05-33:12 And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of
the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day
long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.
05-33:28 Israel
then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain
of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn
and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
06-9:7 And
the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with
you?
06-9:22 And
Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye
beguiled us, saying, We are very far
from you; when ye dwell among us?
06-10:6 And
the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy
hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for
all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the
mountains are gathered together against us.
06-13:13 Nevertheless
the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but
the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among
the Israelites until this day.
06-14:4 For
the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they
gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with
their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.
06-15:63 As
for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not
drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the
children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.
06-16:10 And
they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve
under tribute.
06-17:12 Yet
the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
06-17:16 And
the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the
Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley
have chariots of iron, both they who are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.
06-20:4 And
when he that doth flee unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of
the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of
that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place,
that he may dwell among them.
06-20:6 And
he shall dwell in that city, until he stand
before the congregation for judgment, and
until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days: then shall
the slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto the
city from whence he fled.
06-21:2 And
they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD
commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell
in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.
06-24:13 And
I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built
not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and
oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.
06-24:15 And
if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will
serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites,
in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my
house, we will serve the LORD.
07-1:21 And
the children of Benjamin did not drive out the Jebusites that inhabited
Jerusalem; but the Jebusites dwell with the
children of Benjamin in Jerusalem unto this day.
07-1:27 Neither
did Manasseh drive out the inhabitants of
Bethshean and her towns, nor Taanach and her towns, nor the inhabitants of
Dor and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and her towns, nor the
inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns: but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
07-1:35 But
the Amorites would dwell in mount Heres in
Aijalon, and in Shaalbim: yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so
that they became tributaries.
07-6:10 And
I said unto you, I am the LORD your
God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.
07-9:41 And
Abimelech dwelt at Arumah: and Zebul thrust out Gaal and his brethren, that
they should not dwell in Shechem.
07-17:10 And
Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto
me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy
victuals. So the Levite went in.
07-17:11 And
the Levite was content to dwell with the man;
and the young man was unto him as one of his sons.
07-18:1 In
those days there was no king in
Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance
to dwell in; for unto that day all their inheritance had not fallen
unto them among the tribes of Israel.
09-12:8 When
Jacob was come into Egypt, and your fathers cried unto the LORD, then the LORD
sent Moses and Aaron, which brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and made
them dwell in this place.
09-27:5 And
David said unto Achish, If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give
me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell
there: for why should thy servant dwell in the
royal city with thee?
10-7:2 That
the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell
in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.
10-7:5 Go
and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build me an house
for me to dwell in?
10-7:10 Moreover
I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may
dwell in a place of their own, and move no more;
neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,
11-2:36 And
the king sent and called for Shimei, and said unto him, Build thee an house in
Jerusalem, and dwell there, and go not forth
thence any whither.
11-3:17 And
the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell
in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.
11-6:13 And
I will dwell among the children of Israel, and
will not forsake my people Israel.
11-8:12 Then
spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell
in the thick darkness.
11-8:13 I
have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a
settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
11-8:27 But
will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the
heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that
I have builded?
11-17:9 Arise,
get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to
Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded
a widow woman there to sustain thee.
12-4:13 And
he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with
all this care; what is to be done for
thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host?
And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
12-6:1 And
the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us.
12-6:2 Let
us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us
make us a place there, where we may dwell. And
he answered, Go ye.
12-17:27 Then
the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye
brought from thence; and let them go and dwell
there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land.
12-25:24 And
Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be
the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land,
and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.
13-17:1 Now
it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the
prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but
the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth
under curtains.
13-17:4 Go
and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me an
house to dwell in:
13-17:9 Also
I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall
dwell in their place, and shall be moved no
more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the
beginning,
13-23:25 For
David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they
may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:
14-2:3 And
Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David
my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, even
so deal with me.
14-6:1 Then
said Solomon, The LORD hath said that he would dwell
in the thick darkness.
14-6:18 But
will God in very deed dwell with men on the
earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much
less this house which I have built!
14-8:2 That
the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused
the children of Israel to dwell there.
14-8:11 And
Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the
house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark
of the LORD hath come.
14-19:10 And
what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between
law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they
trespass not against the LORD, and so wrath
come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not trespass.
15-4:17 Then sent the king an answer unto Rehum
the chancellor, and to Shimshai the
scribe, and to the rest of their
companions that dwell in Samaria, and unto the rest beyond the river, Peace,
and at such a time.
15-6:12 And
the God that hath caused his name to dwell there
destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a
decree; let it be done with speed.
16-8:14 And
they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the
children of Israel should dwell in booths in the
feast of the seventh month:
16-11:1 And
the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast
lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem
the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other
cities.
16-11:2 And
the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
18-3:5 Let
darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell
upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.
18-4:19 How
much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth?
18-11:14 If
iniquity be in thine hand, put it far
away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy
tabernacles.
18-18:15 It
shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be
scattered upon his habitation.
18-19:15 They
that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me
for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.
18-30:6 To
dwell in the cliffs of the valleys, in caves of the earth, and in the rocks.
19-4:8 I
will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
19-5:4 For
thou art not a God that hath pleasure
in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with
thee.
19-15:1 LORD,
who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell
in thy holy hill?
19-23:6 Surely
goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
19-24:1 The
earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness
thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
19-25:13 His
soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall
inherit the earth.
19-27:4 One
thing have I desired of the LORD,
that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the
house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD,
and to enquire in his temple.
19-37:3 Trust
in the LORD, and do good; so shalt
thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be
fed.
19-37:27 Depart
from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
19-37:29 The
righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell
therein for ever.
19-65:4 Blessed
is the man whom thou choosest, and
causest to approach unto thee, that he
may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied
with the goodness of thy house, even of
thy holy temple.
19-65:8 They
also that dwell in the uttermost parts are
afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to
rejoice.
19-68:6 God
setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with
chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
19-68:16 Why
leap ye, ye high hills? this is the
hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell
in it for ever.
19-68:18 Thou
hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received
gifts for men; yea, for the
rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.
19-69:25 Let
their habitation be desolate; and let
none dwell in their tents.
19-69:35 For
God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.
19-69:36 The
seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
19-72:9 They
that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before
him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
19-78:55 He
cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line,
and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their
tents.
19-84:4 Blessed
are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
19-84:10 For
a day in thy courts is better than a
thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
19-85:9 Surely
his salvation is nigh them that fear him;
that glory may dwell in our land.
19-98:7 Let
the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
19-101:6 Mine
eyes shall be upon the faithful of
the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh
in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
19-101:7 He
that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my
house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
19-107:4 They
wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
19-107:34 A
fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
19-107:36 And
there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they
may prepare a city for habitation;
19-120:5 Woe
is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I
dwell in the tents of Kedar!
19-132:14 This
is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
19-133:1 Behold,
how good and how pleasant it is for
brethren to dwell together in unity!
19-139:9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell
in the uttermost parts of the sea;
19-140:13 Surely
the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
19-143:3 For
the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground;
he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those
that have been long dead.
20-1:33 But
whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and
shall be quiet from fear of evil.
20-2:21 For
the upright shall dwell in the land, and the
perfect shall remain in it.
20-8:12 I
wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out
knowledge of witty inventions.
20-21:9 It is better to dwell
in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
20-21:19 It is better to dwell
in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
20-25:24 It is better to dwell
in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.
23-6:5 Then
said I, Woe is me! for I am undone;
because I am a man of unclean lips,
and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean
lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
23-9:2 The
people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them
hath the light shined.
23-11:6 The
wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the
leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the
fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
23-13:21 But
wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of
doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there,
and satyrs shall dance there.
23-16:4 Let
mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a
covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end,
the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
23-23:13 Behold
the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell
in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces
thereof; and he brought it to ruin.
23-23:18 And
her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be
treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for
durable clothing.
23-24:6 Therefore
hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell
therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and
few men left.
23-26:5 For
he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the
lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.
23-26:19 Thy
dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they
arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust:
for thy dew is as the dew of herbs,
and the earth shall cast out the dead.
23-30:19 For
the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem:
thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy
cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
23-32:16 Then
judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and
righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
23-32:18 And
my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation,
and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
23-33:14 The
sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who
among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?
who among us shall dwell with everlasting
burnings?
23-33:16 He
shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread
shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
23-33:24 And
the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall
be forgiven their iniquity.
23-34:11 But
the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven
shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon
it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness.
23-34:17 And
he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line:
they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.
23-40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of
the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are
as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and
spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
23-49:20 The
children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again
in thine ears, The place is too
strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
23-51:6 Lift
up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens
shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and
they that dwell therein shall die in like
manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be
abolished.
23-57:15 For
thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell
in the high and holy place, with him
also that is of a contrite and humble
spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the
contrite ones.
23-58:12 And
they that shall be of thee shall build
the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations;
and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
23-65:9 And
I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my
mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
24-4:29 The
whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go
into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell
therein.
24-7:3 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings,
and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
24-7:7 Then
will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the
land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
24-8:16 The
snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound
of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the
land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell
therein.
24-8:19 Behold
the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not
her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
24-9:26 Egypt,
and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised,
and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised
in the heart.
24-12:4 How
long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the
wickedness of them that dwell therein? the
beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our
last end.
24-20:6 And
thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house
shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt
die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast
prophesied lies.
24-23:6 In
his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell
safely: and this is his name whereby
he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
24-23:8 But,
The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel
out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and
they shall dwell in their own land.
24-24:8 And
as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith
the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue
of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell
in the land of Egypt:
24-25:5 They
said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your
doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath
given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:
24-25:24 And
all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,
24-27:11 But
the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and
serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and
they shall till it, and dwell therein.
24-29:5 Build
ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;
24-29:28 For
therefore he sent unto us in Babylon,
saying, This captivity is long: build
ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
24-29:32 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his
seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among
this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people,
saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.
24-31:24 And
there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all
the cities thereof together, husbandmen, and they that go forth with flocks.
24-32:37 Behold,
I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine
anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto
this place, and I will cause them to dwell
safely:
24-33:16 In
those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell
safely: and this is the name wherewith
she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
24-35:7 Neither
shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land
where ye be strangers.
24-35:9 Nor
to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have
we vineyard, nor field, nor seed:
24-35:11 But
it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land,
that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the
Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem.
24-35:15 I
have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and
sending them, saying, Return ye now
every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods
to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land
which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your
ear, nor hearkened unto me.
24-40:5 Now
while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go
back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of
Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it
seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him
victuals and a reward, and let him go.
24-40:9 And
Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men,
saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell
in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.
24-40:10 As
for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve
the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer
fruits, and oil, and put them in your
vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have
taken.
24-42:13 But
if ye say, We will not dwell in this land,
neither obey the voice of the LORD your God,
24-42:14 Saying,
No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear
the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:
24-43:4 So
Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the
people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell
in the land of Judah.
24-43:5 But
Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the
remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been
driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;
24-44:1 The
word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in
the country of Pathros, saying,
24-44:8 In
that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense
unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye
might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
24-44:13 For
I will punish them that dwell in the land of
Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the
pestilence:
24-44:14 So
that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to
sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of
Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell
there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.
24-44:26 Therefore
hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell
in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD,
that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the
land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.
24-47:2 Thus
saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an
overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the
city, and them that dwell therein: then the men
shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
24-48:9 Give
wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be
desolate, without any to dwell therein.
24-48:28 O
ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the
hole’s mouth.
24-49:1 Concerning
the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and
his people dwell in his cities?
24-49:8 Flee
ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of
Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him.
24-49:18 As
in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither
shall a son of man dwell in it.
24-49:30 Flee,
get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of
Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel
against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.
24-49:31 Arise,
get you up unto the wealthy nation, that dwelleth without care, saith the LORD,
which have neither gates nor bars, which dwell alone.
24-49:33 And
Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and
a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor any son of man dwell
in it.
24-50:3 For
out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her
land desolate, and none shall dwell therein:
they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.
24-50:39 Therefore
the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and
the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no
more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to
generation.
24-50:40 As
God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so
shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.
24-51:1 Thus
saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a
destroying wind;
26-2:6 And
thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words,
though briers and thorns be with
thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be
not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
26-12:19 And
say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of
Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel;
They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with
astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because
of the violence of all them that dwell therein.
26-16:46 And
thine elder sister is Samaria, she
and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand:
and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.
26-17:23 In
the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth
boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the
branches thereof shall they dwell.
26-28:25 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the
people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the
sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in
their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
26-28:26 And
they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build
houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell
with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise
them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.
26-32:15 When
I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of
that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the LORD.
26-34:25 And
I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to
cease out of the land: and they shall dwell
safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
26-34:28 And
they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the
land devour them; but they shall dwell safely,
and none shall make them afraid.
26-36:28 And
ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your
fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
26-36:33 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your
iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.
26-37:25 And
they shall dwell in the land that I have given
unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even
they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my
servant David shall be their prince
for ever.
26-38:8 After
many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the
land that is brought back from the
sword, and is gathered out of many
people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it
is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell
safely all of them.
26-38:11 And
thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to
them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of
them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
26-38:12 To
take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the
people that are gathered out of the
nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell
in the midst of the land.
26-39:6 And
I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell
carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
26-39:9 And
they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go
forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the
bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they
shall burn them with fire seven years:
26-43:7 And
he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles
of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of
the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no
more defile, neither they, nor their
kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high
places.
26-43:9 Now
let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me,
and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.
27-2:38 And
wheresoever the children of men dwell, the
beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand,
and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
27-4:1 Nebuchadnezzar
the king, unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
27-6:25 Then
king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
28-9:3 They
shall not dwell in the LORD’S land; but Ephraim
shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
28-12:9 And
I that am the LORD thy God from the
land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in
tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
28-14:7 They
that dwell under his shadow shall return; they
shall revive as the corn, and grow as
the vine: the scent thereof shall be as
the wine of Lebanon.
29-3:20 But
Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from
generation to generation.
30-3:12 Thus
saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or
a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in
Damascus in a couch.
30-5:11 Forasmuch
therefore as your treading is upon
the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn
stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have
planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.
30-9:5 And
the Lord GOD of hosts is he that
toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell
therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be
drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
33-4:10 Be
in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in
travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be
delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
33-7:13 Notwithstanding
the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell
therein, for the fruit of their doings.
33-7:14 Feed
thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in
the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
34-1:5 The
mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his
presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell
therein.
34-3:18 Thy
shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell
in the dust: thy people is scattered
upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.
35-2:8 Because
thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee;
because of men’s blood, and for the
violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell
therein.
35-2:17 For
the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s
blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
36-1:18 Neither
their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the
LORD’S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy:
for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.
37-1:4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
38-2:10 Sing
and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
38-2:11 And
many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people:
and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou
shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
38-8:3 Thus
saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell
in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and
the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.
38-8:4 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with
his staff in his hand for very age.
38-8:8 And
I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the
midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in
truth and in righteousness.
38-9:6 And
a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut
off the pride of the Philistines.
38-14:11 And
men shall dwell
in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be
safely inhabited.
40-12:45 Then
goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself,
and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the
first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
42-11:26 Then
goeth he, and taketh to him seven
other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
42-21:35 For
as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell
on the face of the whole earth.
44-1:20 For
it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no
man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let
another take.
44-2:14 But
Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye
men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and
hearken to my words:
44-4:16 Saying,
What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done
by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
44-7:4 Then
came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from
thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now
dwell.
44-13:27 For
they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers,
because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read
every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them
in condemning him.
44-17:26 And
hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell
on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed,
and the bounds of their habitation;
44-28:16 And
when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of
the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by
himself with a soldier that kept him.
45-8:9 But
ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of
Christ, he is none of his.
45-8:11 But
if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also
quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
46-7:12 But
to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth
not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let
him not put her away.
46-7:13 And
the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
47-6:16 And
what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the
living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in
them, and walk in them; and I will be
their God, and they shall be my people.
49-3:17 That
Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that
ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
51-1:19 For
it pleased the Father that in him
should all fulness dwell;
51-3:16 Let
the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all
wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
60-3:7 Likewise,
ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto
the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your
prayers be not hindered.
62-4:13 Hereby
know we that we dwell in him, and he in us,
because he hath given us of his Spirit.
66-3:10 Because
thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of
temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
66-6:10 And
they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost
thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell
on the earth?
66-7:15 Therefore
are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and
he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among
them.
66-11:10 And
they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice
over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these
two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
66-12:12 Therefore
rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and
of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he
knoweth that he hath but a short time.
66-13:6 And

beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless

not, and yet is.

God.
