01-GENESIS
01-6:7 And
the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have
created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping
thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
01-6:13 And
God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is
filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy
them with the earth.
01-6:17 And,
behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in
the earth shall die.
01-7:4 For
yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty
nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
01-9:11 And
I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any
more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
01-9:15 And
I will remember my covenant, which is between
me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more
become a flood to destroy all flesh.
01-18:23 And
Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy
the righteous with the wicked?
01-18:24 Peradventure
there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty
righteous that are therein?
01-18:28 Peradventure
there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack
of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.
01-18:31 And
he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure
there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for
twenty’s sake.
01-18:32 And
he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once:
Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for
ten’s sake.
01-19:13 For
we will destroy this place, because the cry of
them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.
01-19:14 And
Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and
said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy
this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
02-8:9 And
Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for
thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the
frogs from thee and thy houses, that they
may remain in the river only?
02-12:13 And
the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will
pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy
you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
02-15:9 The
enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust
shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
02-23:27 I
will send my fear before thee, and will destroy
all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn
their backs unto thee.
02-34:13 But
ye shall destroy their altars, break their
images, and cut down their groves:
03-23:30 And
whatsoever soul it be that doeth any
work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy
from among his people.
03-26:22 I
will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and
destroy your cattle, and make you few in number;
and your high ways shall be desolate.
03-26:30 And
I will destroy your high places, and cut down
your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my
soul shall abhor you.
03-26:44 And
yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast
them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy
them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.
04-21:2 And
Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this
people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy
their cities.
04-24:17 I
shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come
a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite
the corners of Moab, and destroy all the
children of Sheth.
04-24:19 Out
of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
04-32:15 For
if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness;
and ye shall destroy all this people.
04-33:52 Then
ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down
all their high places:
05-1:27 And
ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought
us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites,
to destroy us.
05-2:15 For
indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy
them from among the host, until they were consumed.
05-4:31 (For
the LORD thy God is a merciful God;)
he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee,
nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
05-6:15 (For
the LORD thy God is a jealous God
among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
05-7:2 And
when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy
them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
05-7:4 For
they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods:
so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
05-7:5 But
thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy
their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn
their graven images with fire.
05-7:10 And
repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy
them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his
face.
05-7:23 But
the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be
destroyed.
05-7:24 And
he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man
be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.
05-9:3 Understand
therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is
he which goeth over before thee; as a
consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he
shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
05-9:14 Let
me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out
their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and
greater than they.
05-9:19 For
I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth
against you to destroy you. But the LORD
hearkened unto me at that time also.
05-9:25 Thus
I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said
he would destroy you.
05-9:26 I
prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy
not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy
greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
05-10:10 And
I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty
nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy thee.
05-12:2 Ye
shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein
the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains,
and upon the hills, and under every green tree:
05-12:3 And
ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves
with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.
05-20:17 But
thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites,
the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD
thy God hath commanded thee:
05-20:19 When
thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it,
thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by
forcing an ax against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut
them down (for the tree of the field is man’s
life) to employ them in the siege:
05-20:20 Only
the trees which thou knowest that they be
not trees for meat, thou shalt destroy and
cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war
with thee, until it be subdued.
05-28:63 And
it shall come to pass, that as the
LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will
rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring
you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to
possess it.
05-31:3 The
LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and
he will destroy these nations from before
thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua,
he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said.
05-32:25 The
sword without, and terror within, shall destroy
both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.
05-33:27 The
eternal God is thy refuge, and
underneath are the everlasting arms:
and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
06-7:7 And
Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people
over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and
dwelt on the other side Jordan!
06-7:12 Therefore
the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed:
neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy
the accursed from among you.
06-9:24 And
they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how
that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and
to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from
before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have
done this thing.
06-11:20 For
it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel
in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but
that he might destroy them, as the LORD
commanded Moses.
06-22:33 And
the thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed
God, and did not intend to go up against them in battle, to destroy the land wherein the children of Reuben and
Gad dwelt.
07-6:5 For
they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers
for multitude; for both they and
their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.
07-21:11 And
this is the thing that ye shall do,
Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every
woman that hath lain by man.
09-15:3 Now
go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all
that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and
suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
09-15:6 And
Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites,
lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed
kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the
Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
09-15:9 But
Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen,
and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that
was good, and would not utterly destroy
them: but every thing that was vile
and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.
09-15:18 And
the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against
them until they be consumed.
09-23:10 Then
said David, O LORD God of Israel, thy servant hath certainly heard that Saul
seeketh to come to Keilah, to destroy the city
for my sake.
09-24:21 Swear
now therefore unto me by the LORD, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me,
and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my
father’s house.
09-26:9 And
David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who
can stretch forth his hand against the LORD’S anointed, and be guiltless?
09-26:15 And
David said to Abner, Art not thou a valiant man? and who is like to thee in Israel? wherefore
then hast thou not kept thy lord the king? for there came one of the people in
to destroy the king thy lord.
10-1:14 And
David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD’S anointed?
10-14:7 And,
behold, the whole family is risen against thine handmaid, and they said,
Deliver him that smote his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his
brother whom he slew; and we will destroy the
heir also: and so they shall quench my coal which is left, and shall not leave
to my husband neither name nor
remainder upon the earth.
10-14:11 Then
said she, I pray thee, let the king remember the LORD thy God, that thou
wouldest not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy
any more, lest they destroy my son. And he said,
As the LORD liveth, there shall not
one hair of thy son fall to the earth.
10-14:16 For
the king will hear, to deliver his handmaid out of the hand of the man that would destroy
me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.
10-20:19 I
am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: thou seekest to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why wilt thou
swallow up the inheritance of the LORD?
10-20:20 And
Joab answered and said, Far be it, far be it from me, that I should swallow up
or destroy.
10-22:41 Thou
hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
10-24:16 And
when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the
angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the
angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.
11-9:21 Their
children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel
also were not able utterly to destroy, upon
those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.
11-13:34 And
this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off, and to destroy
it from off the face of the earth.
11-16:12 Thus
did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha,
according to the word of the LORD, which he spake against Baasha by Jehu the
prophet,
12-8:19 Yet
the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his
servant’s sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.
12-10:19 Now
therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his
priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But
Jehu did it in subtilty, to the
intent that he might destroy the worshippers of
Baal.
12-13:23 And
the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect
unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would
not destroy them, neither cast he them from his
presence as yet.
12-18:25 Am
I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy
it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy
it.
12-24:2 And
the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and
bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them
against Judah to destroy it, according to the
word of the LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets.
13-21:15 And
God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it:
and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and
said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the
angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
14-12:7 And
when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to
Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them,
but I will grant them some deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out
upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
14-12:12 And
when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would
not destroy him
altogether: and also in Judah things went well.
14-20:23 For
the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir,
utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir,
every one helped to destroy another.
14-21:7 Howbeit
the LORD would not destroy the house of David,
because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give
a light to him and to his sons for ever.
14-25:16 And
it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king’s counsel?
forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I
know that God hath determined to destroy thee,
because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.
14-35:21 But
he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of
Judah? I come not against thee this
day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make
haste: forbear thee from meddling with God,
who is with me, that he destroy thee not.
15-6:12 And
the God that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy
all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy
this house of God which is at
Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.
17-3:6 And
he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the
people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy
all the Jews that were throughout the
whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the
people of Mordecai.
17-3:13 And
the letters were sent by posts into all the king’s provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews,
both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon the thirteenth day of
the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to take the spoil of them for a prey.
17-4:7 And
Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the
money that Haman had promised to pay to the king’s treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.
17-4:8 Also
he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it
unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make
supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.
17-8:5 And
said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the
thing seem right before the king, and
I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be
written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the
Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews
which are in all the king’s
provinces:
17-8:11 Wherein
the king granted the Jews which were in
every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all the
power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to
take the spoil of them for a prey,
17-9:24 Because
Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had
devised against the Jews to destroy them, and
had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to
consume them, and to destroy them;
18-2:3 And
the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a
perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still
he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
18-6:9 Even
that it would please God to destroy me; that he
would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
18-8:18 If
he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.
18-10:8 Thine
hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me.
18-19:26 And
though after my skin worms destroy
this body, yet in my flesh shall I
see God:
19-5:6 Thou
shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD
will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
19-5:10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own
counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have
rebelled against thee.
19-18:40 Thou
hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
19-21:10 Their
fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and
their seed from among the children of men.
19-28:5 Because
they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall
destroy them, and not build them up.
19-40:14 Let
them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to
shame that wish me evil.
19-52:5 God
shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall
take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy
dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
19-55:9 Destroy, O Lord, and
divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
19-63:9 But
those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall
go into the lower parts of the earth.
19-69:4 They
that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that
would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
19-74:8 They
said in their hearts, Let us destroy them
together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.
19-101:8 I
will early destroy all the wicked of the land;
that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.
19-106:23 Therefore
he said that he would destroy them, had not
Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest
he should destroy them.
19-106:34 They
did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the
LORD commanded them:
19-118:10 All
nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.
19-118:11 They
compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I
will destroy them.
19-118:12 They
compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in
the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
19-119:95 The
wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies.
19-143:12 And
of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy
all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy
servant.
19-144:6 Cast
forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.
19-145:20 The
LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
20-1:32 For
the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools
shall destroy them.
20-11:3 The
integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of
transgressors shall destroy them.
20-15:25 The
LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he
will establish the border of the widow.
20-21:7 The
robbery of the wicked shall destroy them;
because they refuse to do judgment.
21-5:6 Suffer
not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that
it was an error: wherefore should God
be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of
thine hands?
21-7:16 Be
not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself?
23-3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule
over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of
thy paths.
23-10:7 Howbeit
he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and
cut off nations not a few.
23-11:9 They
shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy
mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the
waters cover the sea.
23-11:15 And
the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the
Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river,
and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.
23-13:5 They
come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
23-13:9 Behold,
the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the
land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners
thereof out of it.
23-19:3 And
the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to
the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to
the wizards.
23-23:11 He
stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given
a commandment against the merchant city, to
destroy the strong holds thereof.
23-25:7 And
he will destroy in this mountain the face of the
covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
23-32:7 The
instruments also of the churl are evil:
he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor
with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
23-36:10 And
am I now come up without the LORD against this land to destroy
it? the LORD said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.
23-42:14 I
have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will
I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy
and devour at once.
23-51:13 And
forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid
the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of
the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy?
and where is the fury of the
oppressor?
23-54:16 Behold,
I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth
forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
23-65:8 Thus
saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy
it not; for a blessing is in it: so
will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy
them all.
23-65:25 The
wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the
bullock: and dust shall be the
serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy
in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
24-1:10 See,
I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out,
and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw
down, to build, and to plant.
24-5:10 Go
ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not
a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD’S.
24-6:5 Arise,
and let us go by night, and let us destroy her
palaces.
24-11:19 But
I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had
devised devices against me, saying, Let
us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and
let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more
remembered.
