01-GENESIS
01-19:19 Behold
now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy
mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me,
and I die:
01-19:22 Haste
thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing
till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
01-24:50 Then
Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.
01-29:8 And
they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be
gathered together, and till they roll
the stone from the well’s mouth; then we water the sheep.
01-31:35 And
she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched, but found
not the images.
01-32:12 And
thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the
sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
01-34:14 And
they said unto them, We cannot do this thing, to
give our sister to one that is uncircumcised; for that were a reproach unto us:
01-38:22 And
he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find
her; and also the men of the place said, that
there was no harlot in this place.
01-43:22 And
other money have we brought down in our hands to buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.
01-44:22 And
we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his
father: for if he should leave his
father, his father would die.
01-44:26 And
we said, We cannot go down: if our youngest
brother be with us, then will we go down: for we may not see the man’s face,
except our youngest brother be with
us.
02-10:5 And
they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot
be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is
escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which
groweth for you out of the field:
02-19:23 And
Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come
up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount,
and sanctify it.
03-14:21 And
if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to
make an atonement for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil
for a meat offering, and a log of oil;
04-22:18 And
Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his
house full of silver and gold, I cannot go
beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.
04-23:20 Behold,
I have received commandment to bless:
and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
04-24:13 If
Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I
speak?
04-35:33 So
ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are:
for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot
be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that
shed it.
05-28:35 The
LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the
top of thy head.
06-24:19 And
Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the
LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive
your transgressions nor your sins.
07-11:35 And
it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my
daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble
me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot
go back.
07-14:13 But
if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of
garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it.
08-4:6 And
the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own
inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot
redeem it.
09-12:21 And
turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after
vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.
09-17:39 And
David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not
proved it. And David said unto Saul,
I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.
09-17:55 And
when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the
captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this
youth? And Abner said, As thy soul
liveth, O king, I cannot tell.
09-25:17 Now
therefore know and consider what thou wilt do; for evil is determined against
our master, and against all his household: for he is such a son of Belial, that a
man cannot speak to him.
10-5:6 And
the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of
the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and
the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.
10-14:14 For
we must needs die, and are as water
spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up
again; neither doth God respect any person:
yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.
10-23:6 But
the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust
away, because they cannot be taken with hands:
11-3:8 And
thy servant is in the midst of thy
people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot
be numbered nor counted for multitude.
11-8:27 But
will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I
have builded?
11-18:12 And
it shall come to pass, as soon as I
am gone from thee, that the spirit of the LORD shall carry thee whither I know
not; and so when I come and tell
Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me:
but I thy servant fear the LORD from my youth.
14-2:6 But
who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn
sacrifice before him?
14-6:18 But
will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the
heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much
less this house which I have built!
14-24:20 And
the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which
stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye
the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot
prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
15-9:15 O
LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous:
for we remain yet escaped, as it is this
day: behold, we are before thee in
our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee
because of this.
16-6:3 And
I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am
doing a great work, so that I cannot come
down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?
18-5:12 He
disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their
enterprise.
18-6:30 Is
there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern
perverse things?
18-9:3 If
he will contend with him, he cannot answer him
one of a thousand.
18-12:14 Behold,
he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again:
he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
18-14:5 Seeing
his days are determined, the number
of his months are with thee, thou
hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
18-17:10 But
as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot
find one wise man among you.
18-19:8 He
hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he
hath set darkness in my paths.
18-23:8 Behold,
I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
18-23:9 On
the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot
behold him: he hideth himself on the
right hand, that I cannot see him:
18-28:15 It
cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver
be weighed for the price thereof.
18-28:16 It
cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with
the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
18-28:17 The
gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the
exchange of it shall not be for jewels
of fine gold.
18-31:31 If
the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.
18-33:21 His
flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen;
and his bones that were not seen
stick out.
18-36:18 Because
there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot
deliver thee.
18-37:5 God
thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
18-37:19 Teach
us what we shall say unto him; for we
cannot order our
speech by reason of darkness.
18-37:23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of
justice: he will not afflict.
18-41:17 They
are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
18-41:23 The
flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.
18-41:26 The
sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the
spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
18-41:28 The
arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are
turned with him into stubble.
19-40:5 Many,
O LORD my God, are thy wonderful
works which thou hast done, and thy
thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be
numbered.
19-77:4 Thou
holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot
speak.
19-88:8 Thou
hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination
unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.
19-93:1 The
LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the
world also is stablished, that it cannot be
moved.
19-125:1 They
that trust in the LORD shall be as
mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but
abideth for ever.
19-139:6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot
attain unto it.
20-30:21 For
three things the earth is disquieted,
and for four which it cannot bear:
21-1:8 All
things are full of labour; man cannot utter it:
the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.
21-1:15 That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.
21-8:17 Then
I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot
find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to
seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
21-10:14 A
fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell
what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him?
22-8:7 Many
waters cannot quench love, neither can the
floods drown it: if a man would give
all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
23-1:13 Bring
no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and
sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot
away with; it is iniquity, even the
solemn meeting.
23-29:11 And
the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed,
which men deliver to one that is
learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is
sealed:
23-38:18 For
the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down
into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
23-44:18 They
have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their
hearts, that they cannot understand.
23-44:20 He
feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
23-45:20 Assemble
yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that
are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of
their graven image, and pray unto a god that
cannot save.
23-50:2 Wherefore,
when I came, was there no man? when I
called, was there none to answer? Is my
hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or
have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the
rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
23-56:10 His
watchmen are blind: they are all
ignorant, they are all dumb dogs,
they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving
to slumber.
23-56:11 Yea,
they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all
look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
23-57:20 But
the wicked are like the troubled sea,
when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire
and dirt.
23-59:1 Behold,
the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot
save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
23-59:14 And
judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is
fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
24-1:6 Then
said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak:
for I am a child.
24-4:19 My
bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me;
I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard,
O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
24-5:22 Fear
ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have
placed the sand for the bound of the
sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass
it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail;
though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
24-6:10 To
whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto
them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
24-7:8 Behold,
ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
24-10:5 They
are upright as the palm tree, but
speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot
go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do
evil, neither also is it in them to
do good.
24-14:9 Why
shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are
called by thy name; leave us not.
24-18:6 O
house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this
potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is
in the potter’s hand, so are ye
in mine hand, O house of Israel.
24-19:11 And
shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this
people and this city, as one breaketh
a potter’s vessel, that cannot be made whole
again: and they shall bury them in
Tophet, till there be no place to
bury.
24-24:3 Then
said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good
figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot
be eaten, they are so evil.
24-24:8 And
as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they
are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of
Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land,
and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
24-29:17 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine,
and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
24-33:22 As
the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither
the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant,
and the Levites that minister unto me.
24-36:5 And
Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut
up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:
24-46:23 They
shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot
be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable.
24-49:23 Concerning
Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings:
they are fainthearted; there is sorrow
on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
25-3:7 He
hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he
hath made my chain heavy.
25-4:18 They
hunt our steps, that we cannot go in our
streets: our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end is come.
27-2:27 Daniel
answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath
demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the
king;
28-1:10 Yet
the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to
pass, that in the place where it was
said unto them, Ye are not my people,
there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
32-4:11 And
should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore
thousand persons that cannot discern between
their right hand and their left hand; and also
much cattle?
35-2:5 Yea
also, because he transgresseth by wine, he
is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell,
and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all
nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
40-5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A
city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
40-6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either
he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and
despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and
mammon.
40-7:18 A good tree cannot
bring forth evil fruit, neither can a
corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
40-19:11 But he said unto them, All men cannot
receive this saying, save they to
whom it is given.
40-21:27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We
cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell
I you by what authority I do these things.
40-26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give
me more than twelve legions of angels?
40-27:42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now
come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
41-2:19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the
children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long
as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot
fast.
41-3:24 And if a kingdom be divided against
itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
41-3:25 And if a house be divided against
itself, that house cannot stand.
41-3:26 And if Satan rise up against
himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but
hath an end.
41-7:18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so
without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from
without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
41-11:33 And they answered and said unto
Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith
unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
41-15:31 Likewise also the chief priests
mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
42-11:7 And he from within shall answer and
say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed;
I cannot rise and give thee.
42-13:33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and
to morrow, and the day following: for
it cannot be that a prophet perish out of
Jerusalem.
42-14:14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed
at the resurrection of the just.
42-14:20 And another said, I have married a
wife, and therefore I cannot come.
42-14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and
children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
42-14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his
cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
42-14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you
that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot
be my disciple.
42-16:3 Then the steward said within himself,
What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
42-16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for
either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the
one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God
and mammon.
42-16:26 And beside all this, between us and
you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to
you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
43-3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
43-3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I
say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into
the kingdom of God.
43-7:7 The world cannot
hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are
evil.
43-7:34 Ye shall seek me, and shall not find
me: and where I am, thither ye cannot
come.
43-7:36 What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall
not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot
come?
43-8:14 Jesus answered and said unto them,
Though I bear record of myself, yet my
record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
43-8:21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I
go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
43-8:22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill
himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot
come.
43-8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot
hear my word.
43-10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the
word of God came, and the scripture cannot be
broken;
43-13:33 Little children, yet a little while I
am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
43-13:37 Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for
thy sake.
43-14:17 Even
the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
43-15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the
branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it
abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
43-16:12 I have yet many things to say unto
you, but ye cannot bear them now.
43-16:18 They said therefore, What is this
that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell
what he saith.
44-4:16 Saying, What shall we do to these
men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in
Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
44-4:20 For we cannot
but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
44-5:39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to
fight against God.
44-15:1 And certain men which came down from
Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except
ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot
be saved.
44-19:36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to
do nothing rashly.
44-27:31 Paul said to the centurion and to the
soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot
be saved.
45-8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
45-8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our
infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the
Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
46-7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to
burn.
46-10:21 Ye cannot
drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot
be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.
46-12:21 And the eye cannot
say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I
have no need of you.
46-15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh
and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
47-12:2 I knew a man in Christ above
fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot
tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell:
God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
47-12:3 And I knew such a man, (whether in
the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God
knoweth;)
48-3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the
law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot
disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
48-5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the
Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the
other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye
would.
54-5:25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and
they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
55-2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
56-1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God,
that cannot lie, promised before the world
began;
56-2:8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary
part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
58-4:15 For we have not an high priest which
cannot be touched with the feeling of our
infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
58-9:5 And over it the cherubims of glory
shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now
speak particularly.
58-12:27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that
are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
58-12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom
which cannot be moved, let us have grace,
whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
59-1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I
am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted
with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
59-4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and
desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and
war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
61-1:9 But he that lacketh these things is
blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath
forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
61-2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and
that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable
souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
62-3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not
commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot
sin, because he is born of God.

LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with
the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst
not be healed.
06-7:13 Up,
sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus
saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an
accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst
not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from
among you.
07-16:15 And
she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love
thee, when thine heart is not with
me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy
great strength lieth.
09-30:15 And
David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to
this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill

this company.

and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine;
and it shall also come upon the land seven years.
15-7:16 And
all the silver and gold that thou canst find in
all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of
the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem:
18-11:7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
18-11:8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
18-22:11 Or
darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.
18-33:5 If
thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.
18-38:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or
loose the bands of Orion?
18-38:32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
18-38:33 Knowest
thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set
the dominion thereof in the earth?
18-38:34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that
abundance of waters may cover thee?
18-38:35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say
unto thee, Here we are?
18-39:1 Knowest
thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do
calve?
18-39:2 Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
18-39:10 Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the
furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
18-39:20 Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory
of his nostrils is terrible.
18-40:9 Hast
thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with
a voice like him?
18-41:1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his
tongue with a cord which thou lettest
down?
18-41:2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw
through with a thorn?
18-41:7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his
head with fish spears?
18-42:2 I
know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.
20-3:15 She
is more precious than rubies: and all
the things thou canst desire are not to be
compared unto her.
20-5:6 Lest
thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst
not know them.
20-30:4 Who
hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his
fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the
ends of the earth? what is his name,
and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
23-33:19 Thou
shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst
not understand.
24-2:23 How
canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not
gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing
her ways;
24-12:5 If
thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do
in the swelling of Jordan?
26-3:6 Not
to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them,
they would have hearkened unto thee.
27-5:16 And
I have heard of thee, that thou canst make
interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst
read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt
be clothed with scarlet, and have a
chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.
35-1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold
evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore
lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
40-5:36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy
head, because thou canst not make one hair white
or black.
40-8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and
worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst
make me clean.
41-1:40 And there came a leper to him,
beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt,
thou canst make me clean.
41-9:22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into
the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help
us.
41-9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
42-5:12 And it came to pass, when he was in
a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying,
Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
42-6:42 Either how canst
thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest
not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first
the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the
mote that is in thy brother’s eye.
43-3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth,
and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst
not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born
of the Spirit.
43-13:36 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord,
whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me
afterwards.

castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek?
66-2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour,
and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear
them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and
are not, and hast found them liars:

40-4:13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and
dwelt in Capernaum,
which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
40-8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a
centurion, beseeching him,
40-11:23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be
brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee,
had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
40-17:24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received
tribute money came to Peter, and
said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
41-1:21 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the
sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.
41-2:1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was
in the house.
41-9:33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house
he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?
42-4:23 And he said unto them, Ye will
surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have
heard done in Capernaum,
do also here in thy country.
42-4:31 And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught
them on the sabbath days.
42-7:1 Now when he had ended all his
sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
42-10:15 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust
down to hell.
43-2:12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and
his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.
43-4:46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee,
where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was
sick at Capernaum.
43-6:17 And entered into a ship, and went
over the sea toward Capernaum.
And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.
43-6:24 When the people therefore saw that
Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to
Capernaum,
seeking for Jesus.
43-6:59 These things said he in the
synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
