52-1 THESSALONIANS
52-1:5 For
our gospel came not unto you in word only, but
also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what
manner of men we were among you for your sake.
52-1:8 For
from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is
spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.
52-2:2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were
shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak
unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
52-2:4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with
the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but
God, which trieth our hearts.
52-2:7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse
cherisheth her children:
52-2:8 So
being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto
you, not the gospel of God only, but also our
own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
52-2:13 For
this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the
word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of
men, but as it is in truth, the word of God,
which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
52-2:17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short
time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your
face with great desire.
52-2:18 Wherefore
we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
52-3:6 But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and
brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good
remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
52-4:7 For
God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but
unto holiness.
52-4:8 He
therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but
God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
52-4:9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write
unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
52-4:10 And
indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more
and more;
52-4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren,
concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have
no hope.
52-5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no
need that I write unto you.
52-5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day
should overtake you as a thief.
52-5:6 Therefore
let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
52-5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on
the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
52-5:9 For
God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to
obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
52-5:15 See
that none render evil for evil unto any man;
but ever follow that which is good, both
among yourselves, and to all men.
53-2 THESSALONIANS
53-2:12 That
they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but
had pleasure in unrighteousness.
53-2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren
beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to
salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
53-3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and
keep you from evil.
53-3:8 Neither
did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but
wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable
to any of you:
53-3:9 Not
because we have not power, but to make ourselves
an ensample unto you to follow us.
53-3:11 For
we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at
all, but are busybodies.
53-3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
53-3:15 Yet
count him not as an enemy, but admonish him
as a brother.
54-1 TIMOTHY
54-1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
54-1:9 Knowing
this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but
for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy
and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
54-1:13 Who
was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
54-2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with
good works.
54-2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp
authority over the man, but to be in silence.
54-2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
54-3:3 Not
given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but
patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
54-3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou
oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the
living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
54-4:7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise
thyself rather unto godliness.
54-4:8 For
bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness
is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of
that which is to come.
54-4:12 Let
no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example
of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in
purity.
54-5:1 Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as
a father; and the younger men as brethren;
54-5:4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew
piety at home, and to requite their
parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
54-5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she
liveth.
54-5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for
those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
54-5:11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have
begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
54-5:13 And
withal they learn to be idle,
wandering about from house to house; and not only
idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
54-5:19 Against
an elder receive not an accusation, but before
two or three witnesses.
54-5:23 Drink
no longer water, but use a little wine for thy
stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.
54-6:2 And
they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but
rather do them service, because they
are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and
exhort.
54-6:4 He
is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about
questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil
surmisings,
54-6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
54-6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a
snare, and into many foolish and
hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
54-6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
54-6:17 Charge
them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in
uncertain riches, but in the living God, who
giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
55-2 TIMOTHY
55-1:7 For
God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of
power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
55-1:8 Be
not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his
prisoner: but be thou partaker of the
afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
55-1:9 Who
hath saved us, and called us with an
holy calling, not according to our works, but
according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus
before the world began,
55-1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our
Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and
immortality to light through the gospel:
55-1:17 But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently,
and found me.
55-2:9 Wherein
I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto
bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
55-2:14 Of
these things put them in remembrance,
charging them before the Lord that
they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
55-2:16 But shun profane and
vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
55-2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of
gold and of silver, but also of wood and of
earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
55-2:22 Flee
also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness,
faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
55-2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender
strifes.
55-2:24 And
the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be
gentle unto all men, apt to teach,
patient,
55-3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
55-3:9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall
be manifest unto all men, as theirs
also was.
55-3:10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life,
purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
55-3:11 Persecutions,
afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what
persecutions I endured: but out of them
all the Lord delivered me.
55-3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse,
deceiving, and being deceived.
55-3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast
learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
55-4:3 For
the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears;
55-4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do
the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
55-4:8 Henceforth
there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but
unto all them also that love his appearing.
55-4:13 The
cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially
the parchments.
55-4:16 At
my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
55-4:20 Erastus
abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at
Miletum sick.
56-TITUS
56-1:3 But hath in due times manifested his word through
preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our
Saviour;
56-1:8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men,
sober, just, holy, temperate;
56-1:15 Unto
the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
56-1:16 They
profess that they know God; but in works they
deny him, being abominable, and
disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
56-2:1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
56-2:10 Not
purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that
they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
56-3:2 To
speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
56-3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our
Saviour toward man appeared,
56-3:5 Not
by works of righteousness which we have done, but
according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and
renewing of the Holy Ghost;
56-3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and
contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
57-PHILEMON
57-1:11 Which
in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now
profitable to thee and to me:
57-1:14 But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy
benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but
willingly.
57-1:16 Not
now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother
beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto
thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
57-1:22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that
through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
58-HEBREWS
58-1:8 But unto the Son he
saith, Thy throne, O God, is for
ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is
the sceptre of thy kingdom.
58-1:11 They
shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all
shall wax old as doth a garment;
58-1:12 And
as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
58-1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on
my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
58-2:6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is
man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
58-2:8 Thou
hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in
subjection under him, he left nothing that
is not put under him. But now we see not yet
all things put under him.
58-2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the
angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by
the grace of God should taste death for every man.
58-2:16 For
verily he took not on him the nature of angels;
but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
58-3:4 For
every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
58-3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are
we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the
end.
58-3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To
day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
58-3:17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned,
whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
58-3:18 And
to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
58-4:2 For
unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but
the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that
heard it.
58-4:13 Neither
is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are
naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
58-4:15 For
we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our
infirmities; but was in all points tempted like
as we are, yet without sin.
58-5:4 And
no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he
that is called of God, as was Aaron.
58-5:5 So
also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day
have I begotten thee.
58-5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full
age, even those who by reason of use
have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
58-6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is
to be burned.
58-6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you,
and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
58-6:12 That
ye be not slothful, but followers of them who
through faith and patience inherit the promises.
58-7:3 Without
father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor
end of life; but made like unto the Son of God;
abideth a priest continually.
58-7:6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received
tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
58-7:8 And
here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed
that he liveth.
58-7:16 Who
is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but
after the power of an endless life.
58-7:19 For
the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing
in of a better hope did; by the which
we draw nigh unto God.
58-7:21 (For
those priests were made without an oath; but
this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not
repent, Thou art a priest for ever
after the order of Melchisedec:)
58-7:24 But this man, because
he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
58-7:28 For
the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but
the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
58-8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by
how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established
upon better promises.
58-9:7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood,
which he offered for himself, and for the
errors of the people:
58-9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to
come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to
say, not of this building;
58-9:12 Neither
by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own
blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal
redemption for us.
58-9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns
of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than
these.
58-9:24 For
Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence
of God for us:
58-9:26 For
then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared
to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
58-9:27 And
as it is appointed unto men once to die, but
after this the judgment:
58-10:3 But in those sacrifices
there is a remembrance again made of
sins every year.
58-10:5 Wherefore
when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest
not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
58-10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for
sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
58-10:25 Not
forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but
exhorting one another: and so much
the more, as ye see the day approaching.
58-10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and
fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
58-10:32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which,
after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
58-10:38 Now
the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no
pleasure in him.
58-10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
58-11:6 But without faith it
is impossible to please him: for
he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
58-11:13 These
all died in faith, not having received the promises, but
having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and
confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
58-11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be
called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
58-12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are
partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
58-12:10 For
they verily for a few days chastened us after
their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
58-12:11 Now
no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but
grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of
righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
58-12:13 And
make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the
way; but let it rather be healed.
58-12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of
the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of
angels,
58-12:26 Whose
voice then shook the earth: but now he hath
promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
58-13:4 Marriage
is honourable in all, and the bed
undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God
will judge.
58-13:14 For
here have we no continuing city, but we seek one
to come.
58-13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with
such sacrifices God is well pleased.
58-13:19 But I beseech you
the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
59-JAMES
59-1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting
nothing.
59-1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he
that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
59-1:10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the
flower of the grass he shall pass away.
59-1:11 For
the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but
it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the
fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
59-1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his
own lust, and enticed.
59-1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only,
deceiving your own selves.
59-1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and
continueth therein, he being not a
forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this
man shall be blessed in his deed.
59-1:26 If
any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
59-2:6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress
you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
59-2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and
are convinced of the law as transgressors.
59-2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without
works is dead?
59-3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
59-3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your
hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
59-3:15 This
wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
59-3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then
peaceable, gentle, and easy to be
intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without
hypocrisy.
59-4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God
resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the
humble.
59-4:11 Speak
not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother,
speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but
if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but
a judge.
59-4:16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such
rejoicing is evil.
59-5:12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither
by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
60-1 PETER
60-1:12 Unto
whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but
unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that
have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven;
which things the angels desire to look into.
60-1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy
in all manner of conversation;
60-1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb
without blemish and without spot:
60-1:20 Who
verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
60-1:23 Being
born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
60-1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this
is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
60-2:4 To
whom coming, as unto a living stone,
disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
60-2:7 Unto
you therefore which believe he is precious:
but unto them which be disobedient, the stone
which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
60-2:9 But ye are a
chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that
ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness
into his marvellous light:
60-2:10 Which
in time past were not a people, but are now
the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but
now have obtained mercy.
60-2:16 As
free, and not using your liberty for
a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of
God.
60-2:18 Servants,
be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
60-2:20 For
what glory is it, if, when ye be
buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but
if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye
take it patiently, this is acceptable
with God.
60-2:23 Who,
when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself
to him that judgeth righteously:
60-2:25 For
ye were as sheep going astray; but are now
returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
60-3:4 But let it be the
hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight
of God of great price.
60-3:9 Not
rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but
contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should
inherit a blessing.
60-3:12 For
the eyes of the Lord are over the
righteous, and his ears are open unto
their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
60-3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their
terror, neither be troubled;
60-3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope
that is in you with meekness and fear:
60-3:18 For
Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might
bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but
quickened by the Spirit:
60-3:21 The
like figure whereunto even baptism doth
also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by
the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
60-4:2 That
he no longer should live the rest of his time
in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the
will of God.
60-4:6 For
for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they
might be judged according to men in the flesh, but
live according to God in the spirit.
60-4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore
sober, and watch unto prayer.
60-4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s
sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with
exceeding joy.
60-4:14 If
ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on
their part he is evil spoken of, but on your
part he is glorified.
60-4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.
60-4:16 Yet
if any man suffer as a Christian, let
him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on
this behalf.
60-5:2 Feed
the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but
willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready
mind;
60-5:3 Neither
as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
60-5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his
eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you
perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
61-2 PETER
61-1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot
see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
61-1:16 For
we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the
power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but
were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
61-1:21 For
the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but
holy men of God spake as they were moved
by the Holy Ghost.
61-2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people,
even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in
damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon
themselves swift destruction.
61-2:4 For
if God spared not the angels that sinned, but
cast them down to hell, and delivered
them into chains of darkness, to be
reserved unto judgment;
61-2:5 And
spared not the old world, but saved Noah the
eighth person, a preacher of
righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
61-2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust
of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of
dignities.
61-2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken
and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall
utterly perish in their own corruption;
61-2:16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass
speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
61-2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true
proverb, The dog is turned to his own
vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
61-3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same
word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and
perdition of ungodly men.
61-3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that
one day is with the Lord as a
thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
61-3:9 The
Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any
should perish, but that all should come to
repentance.
61-3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night;
in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements
shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein
shall be burned up.
61-3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
62-1 JOHN
62-1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we
have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth
us from all sin.
62-2:2 And
he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the
sins of the whole world.
62-2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love
of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
62-2:7 Brethren,
I write no new commandment unto you, but an old
commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word
which ye have heard from the beginning.
62-2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh
in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath
blinded his eyes.
62-2:16 For
all that is in the world, the lust of
the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the
Father, but is of the world.
62-2:17 And
the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but
he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
62-2:19 They
went out from us, but they were not of us; for
if they had been of us, they would no
doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made
manifest that they were not all of us.
62-2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know
all things.
62-2:21 I
have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the
truth.
62-2:22 Who
is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the
Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
62-2:23 Whosoever
denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath
the Father also.
62-2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him
abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth,
and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
62-3:2 Beloved,
now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be
like him; for we shall see him as he is.
62-3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother
have need, and shutteth up his bowels of
compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
62-3:18 My
little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
62-4:1 Beloved,
believe not every spirit, but try the spirits
whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the
world.
62-4:10 Herein
is love, not that we loved God, but that he
loved us, and sent his Son to be the
propitiation for our sins.
62-4:18 There
is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out
fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
62-5:5 Who
is he that overcometh the world, but he that
believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
62-5:6 This
is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus
Christ; not by water only, but by water and
blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
62-5:18 We
know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but
he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him
not.
63-2 JOHN
63-1:1 The
elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I
only, but also all they that have known the
truth;

now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love
one another.

commit fornication.

many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan,
as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
66-2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
66-3:5 He
that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not
blot out his name out of the book of life, but I
will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
66-3:9 Behold,
I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are
not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to
come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
66-9:4 And
it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither
any green thing, neither any tree; but only
those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
66-9:5 And
to them it was given that they should not kill them, but
that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when
he striketh a man.
66-9:11 And
they had a king over them, which is the
angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but
in the Greek tongue hath his name
Apollyon.
66-10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel,
when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath
declared to his servants the prophets.
66-10:9 And
I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said
unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and
it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be
in thy mouth sweet as honey.
66-11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out,
and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall
they tread under foot forty and two
months.
66-12:12 Therefore
rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that
dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil
is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
66-14:3 And
they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts,
and the elders: and no man could learn that song but
the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed
from the earth.
66-17:12 And
the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom
as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with
the beast.
66-19:12 His
eyes were as a flame of fire, and on
his head were many crowns; and he had
a name written, that no man knew, but he
himself.
66-20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the
thousand years were finished. This is the
first resurrection.
66-20:6 Blessed
and holy is he that hath part in the
first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and
shall reign with him a thousand years.
66-21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable,
and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which
is the second death.
66-21:27 And
there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but
they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

there shall be no more curse: but the throne of
