19-PSALMS
19-10:14 Thou hast
seen it: for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth
himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.
40-MATTHEW
40-7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but
considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
42-LUKE
42-6:41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye,
but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
42-6:42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother,
let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou
hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou
see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

18-JOB
18-24:18 He is swift as the waters; their portion is
cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of
the vineyards.
18-41:34 He beholdeth all high things:
he is a king over all the
children of pride.
19-PSALMS
19-33:13 The LORD
looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons
of men.
59-JAMES
59-1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway
forgetteth what manner of man he was.

19-PSALMS
19-119:37 Turn away
mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.
20-PROVERBS
20-15:3 The eyes
of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
21-ECCLESIASTES
21-5:11 When
goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving
the beholding of them with their eyes?
40-27:55 And many
women were there beholding afar off, which
followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:
41-10:21 Then Jesus
beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One
thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the
poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and
follow me.
42-23:35 And the
people stood beholding. And the rulers also with
them derided him, saying, He saved
others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
42-23:48 And all
the people that came together to that sight, beholding
the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.
42-23:49 And all
his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off,
beholding these things.
44-4:14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them,
they could say nothing against it.
44-8:13 Then
Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with
Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and
signs which were done.
44-14:9 The same
heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him,
and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
44-23:1 And Paul,
earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good
conscience before God until this day.
47-3:18 But we
all, with open face beholding as in a glass the
glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
51-2:5 For
though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your
faith in Christ.
59-1:23 For if
any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved
Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
58-HEBREWS
58-2:17 Wherefore
in all things it behoved him to be made like
unto his brethren, that he might be a
merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining
to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

01-GENESIS
01-18:12 Therefore
Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have
pleasure, my lord being old also?
01-19:16 And while
he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife,
and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being
merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
01-21:4 And
Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight
days old, as God had commanded him.
01-24:27 And he
said, Blessed be the LORD God of my
master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his
truth: I being
in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brethren.
01-34:30 And Jacob said
to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to stink among the
inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I being few
in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I
shall be destroyed, I and my house.
01-35:29 And Isaac
gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered unto his people, being old
and full of days: and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.
01-37:2 These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen
years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with
the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives: and Joseph brought unto his father
their evil report.
01-50:26 So Joseph
died, being
an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a
coffin in Egypt.
02-12:34 And the
people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.
02-13:15 And it
came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of
beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I
redeem.
02-22:14 And if a
man borrow ought of his neighbour,
and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good.
02-28:16 Foursquare
it shall be being
doubled; a span shall be the
length thereof, and a span shall be the
breadth thereof.
02-32:18 And he
said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.
02-39:9 It was foursquare;
they made the breastplate double: a span was
the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled.
03-21:4 But he shall not defile himself, being a
chief man among his people, to profane himself.
03-24:8 Every
sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from
the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
04-1:44 These are those that were numbered, which
Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for
the house of his fathers.
04-22:24 But the
angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on
that side.
04-30:3 If a
woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her
father’s house in her youth;
04-30:16 These are the statutes, which the LORD
commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his
daughter, being
yet in her youth in her father’s house.
04-31:32 And the
booty, being
the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred
thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep.
04-32:38 And Nebo,
and Baalmeon, (their names being changed,) and
Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.
05-3:13 And the
rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half
tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called
the land of giants.
05-17:8 If there
arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between
plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within
thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD
thy God shall choose;
05-22:24 Then ye
shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them
with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in
the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou
shalt put away evil from among you.
05-32:31 For their
rock is not as our Rock, even our
enemies themselves being judges.
06-9:23 Now
therefore ye are cursed, and there
shall none of you be freed from being bondmen,
and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.
06-21:10 Which the
children of Aaron, being of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi, had:
for theirs was the first lot.
06-24:29 And it
came to pass after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the
LORD, died, being
an hundred and ten years old.
07-2:8 And
Joshua, the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old.
07-9:5 And he
went unto his father’s house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of
Jerubbaal, being
threescore and ten persons, upon one stone: notwithstanding yet Jotham the
youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself.
09-2:18 But
Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.
09-15:23 For
rebellion is as the sin of
witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity
and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also
rejected thee from being king.
09-15:26 And Samuel
said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of
the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being
king over Israel.
09-26:13 Then David
went over to the other side, and stood on the top of an hill afar off; a great
space being
between them:
10-8:13 And David
gat him a name when he returned from
smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.
10-13:4 And he
said unto him, Why art thou, being the
king’s son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto
him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.
10-13:14 Howbeit he
would not hearken unto her voice: but, being
stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.
10-19:3 And the people
gat them by stealth that day into the city, as people being
ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.
10-21:16 And
Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of
the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed
three hundred shekels of brass in
weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.
11-1:41 And
Adonijah and all the guests that were with
him heard it as they had made an end
of eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, Wherefore is this noise of the city being in an uproar?
11-2:27 So
Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest
unto the LORD; that he might fulfil the word of the LORD, which he spake
concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.
11-11:17 That Hadad
fled, he and certain Edomites of his father’s servants with him, to go into
Egypt; Hadad being
yet a little child.
11-15:13 And also
Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an
idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.
11-16:7 And also
by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD
against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the
sight of the LORD, in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he
killed him.
11-20:15 Then he
numbered the young men of the princes of the provinces, and they were two
hundred and thirty two: and after them he numbered all the people, even all the children of Israel, being seven
thousand.
12-8:16 And in
the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then
king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.
12-10:6 Then he wrote
a letter the second time to them, saying, If ye be mine, and if ye will hearken unto my voice, take ye the heads
of the men your master’s sons, and come to me to Jezreel by to morrow
this time. Now the king’s sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, which brought them up.
12-12:11 And they
gave the money, being told, into the hands of
them that did the work, that had the oversight of the house of the LORD: and
they laid it out to the carpenters and builders, that wrought upon the house of
the LORD,
13-9:19 And
Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his
brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle:
and their fathers, being over the host of the LORD, were keepers of the entry.
13-24:6 And
Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one
of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the
priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one
principal household being taken for Eleazar, and
one taken for Ithamar.
14-5:12 Also the
Levites which were the singers, all
of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed
in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end
of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with
trumpets:)
14-13:3 And Abijah
set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men:
Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand
chosen men, being
mighty men of valour.
14-15:16 And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the
king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a
grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the
brook Kidron.
14-21:20 Thirty and
two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight
years, and departed without being desired.
Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the
kings.
14-26:21 And Uzziah
the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house, being a
leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging the
people of the land.
15-6:11 Also I
have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled
down from his house, and being set up, let him
be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
15-10:19 And they
gave their hands that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their trespass.
16-6:11 And I
said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is
there, that, being
as I am, would go into the temple
to save his life? I will not go in.
17-1:3 In the
third year of his reign, he made a feast unto all his princes and his servants;
the power of Persia and Media, the nobles and princes of the provinces, being before
him:
17-1:7 And they
gave them drink in vessels of gold,
(the vessels being diverse one from another,)
and royal wine in abundance, according to the state of the king.
17-3:15 The posts
went out, being hastened by the king’s
commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman
sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.
17-8:14 So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king’s
commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.
18-4:7 Remember,
I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?
18-21:23 One dieth
in his full strength, being wholly at ease and
quiet.
18-42:17 So Job
died, being
old and full of days.
19-49:12 Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is
like the beasts that perish.
19-65:6 Which by
his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:
19-69:4 They that
hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would
destroy me, being
mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
19-78:9 The
children of Ephraim, being armed, and
carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.
19-78:38 But he, being full
of compassion, forgave their iniquity,
and destroyed them not: yea, many a
time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.
19-83:4 They have
said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no
more in remembrance.
19-104:33 I will sing
unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
19-107:10 Such as sit
in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
19-139:16 Thine eyes
did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in
thy book all my members were written,
which in continuance were fashioned,
when as yet there was none of them.
19-146:2 While I
live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
20-3:26 For the
LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
20-29:1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
22-3:8 They all
hold swords, being
expert in war: every man hath his
sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night.
22-3:10 He made
the pillars thereof of silver, the
bottom thereof of gold, the covering
of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with
love, for the daughters of Jerusalem.
23-3:26 And her
gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.
23-17:1 The
burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a
ruinous heap.
23-40:13 Who hath
directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?
23-65:20 There
shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled
his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an
hundred years old shall be accursed.
24-2:25 Withhold
thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from
thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and
after them will I go.
24-12:11 They have
made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land
is made desolate, because no man layeth it
to heart.
24-17:16 As for me,
I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I
desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee.
24-31:36 If those
ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
24-34:9 That
every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, being an
Hebrew or an Hebrewess, go free; that none should serve himself of them, to wit, of a Jew his brother.
24-40:1 The word
that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the
guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being
bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and
Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.
24-48:2 There shall be no more praise of Moab:
in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a
nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
24-48:42 And Moab
shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the LORD.
26-17:10 Yea,
behold, being
planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind
toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.
26-23:42 And a
voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with the men of the
common sort were brought Sabeans from
the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon
their heads.
26-47:8 Then said
he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into
the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall
be healed.
26-48:22 Moreover
from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in
the midst of that which is the
prince’s, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for
the prince.
27-3:27 And the
princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose
bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither
were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
27-5:31 And
Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.
27-6:10 Now when
Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his
windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem,
he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before
his God, as he did aforetime.
27-8:22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four
kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
27-9:21 Yea,
whiles I was speaking in prayer, even
the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time
of the evening oblation.
40-1:19 Then
Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a
publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
40-1:23 Behold, a
virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call
his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is,
God with us.
40-1:24 Then Joseph
being raised from sleep did as the angel of the
Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
40-2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not
return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
40-2:22 But when
he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he
was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being
warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:
40-7:11 If ye
then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto
your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good
things to them that ask him?
40-12:34 O
generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil,
speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
40-14:8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me
here John Baptist’s head in a charger.
41-3:5 And when
he had looked round about on them with anger, being
grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth
thine hand. And he stretched it out:
and his hand was restored whole as the other.
41-5:41 And he
took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
41-8:1 In those
days the multitude being very great, and having
nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto
him, and saith unto them,
41-9:33 And he
came to Capernaum: and being in the house he
asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?
41-14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as
he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of
spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
41-15:22 And they
bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being
interpreted, The place of a skull.
41-15:34 And at the
ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?
which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why
hast thou forsaken me?
42-1:74 That he
would grant unto us, that we being delivered out
of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
42-2:5 To be
taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great
with child.
42-3:1 Now in
the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip
tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch
of Abilene,
42-3:2 Annas
and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of
God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
42-3:19 But Herod
the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias
his brother Philip’s wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
42-3:21 Now when
all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
42-3:23 And Jesus
himself began to be about thirty years of age, being
(as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
42-4:1 And
Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from
Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
42-4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those
days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
42-4:15 And he
taught in their synagogues, being glorified of
all.
42-7:29 And all
the people that heard him, and the
publicans, justified God, being baptized with
the baptism of John.
42-7:30 But the
Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.
42-8:25 And he
said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being
afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he
commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
42-11:13 If ye
then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto
your children: how much more shall your heavenly
Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
42-13:16 And ought
not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham,
whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on
the sabbath day?
42-14:21 So that
servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into
the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the
maimed, and the halt, and the blind.
42-16:23 And in
hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and
seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
42-20:36 Neither
can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children
of God, being the children of the resurrection.
42-21:12 But before
all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.
42-22:3 Then
entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being
of the number of the twelve.
42-22:44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his
sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
43-1:38 Then
Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They
said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being
interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
43-1:41 He first
findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias,
which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
43-4:6 Now
Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being
wearied with his journey, sat thus on
the well: and it was about the sixth
hour.
43-4:9 Then
saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of
Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
43-5:13 And he
that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a
multitude being in that place.
43-6:71 He spake
of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon:
for he it was that should betray him, being one
of the twelve.
43-7:50 Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus
by night, being one of them,)
43-8:9 And they
which heard it, being convicted by their
own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left
alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
43-10:33 The Jews
answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and
because that thou, being a man, makest thyself
God.
43-11:49 And one of
them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them,
Ye know nothing at all,
43-11:51 And this
spake he not of himself: but being high priest
that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
43-13:2 And
supper being ended, the devil having now put
into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son,
to betray him;
43-14:25 These
things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
43-18:26 One of the
servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off,
saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?
43-19:38 And after
this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of
Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take
away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him
leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
43-20:19 Then the
same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were
shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and
stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
43-20:26 And after
eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
44-1:3 To whom
also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the
things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
44-1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem,
but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
44-2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and
foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and
slain:
44-2:30 Therefore
being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn
with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he
would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
44-2:33 Therefore
being by the right hand of God exalted, and
having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth
this, which ye now see and hear.
44-3:1 Now
Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the
ninth hour.
44-4:2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and
preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
44-4:23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and
reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.
44-4:36 And
Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
44-5:2 And kept
back part of the price, his wife also
being privy to
it, and brought a certain part, and laid it, at the apostles’ feet.
44-7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly
into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of
God,
44-13:4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto
Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
44-13:12 Then the
deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being
astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.
44-14:8 And there
sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being
a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:
44-15:3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed
through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they
caused great joy unto all the brethren.
44-15:21 For Moses
of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being
read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
44-15:25 It seemed
good unto us, being assembled with one accord,
to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
44-15:32 And Judas
and Silas, being prophets also themselves,
exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
44-15:40 And Paul
chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by
the brethren unto the grace of God.
44-16:18 And this
did she many days. But Paul, being grieved,
turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to
come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
44-16:20 And
brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being
Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
44-16:21 And teach
customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
44-16:37 But Paul
said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us
into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let
them come themselves and fetch us out.
44-17:28 For in him
we live, and move, and have our being; as
certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
44-18:25 This man
was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being
fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord,
knowing only the baptism of John.
44-19:40 For we are
in danger to be called in question for this day’s uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this
concourse.
44-20:9 And there
sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being
fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with
sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
44-22:11 And when I
could not see for the glory of that light, being
led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.
44-26:11 And I
punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being
exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them
even unto strange cities.
44-27:2 And
entering into a ship of Adramyttium, we launched, meaning to sail by the coasts
of Asia; one Aristarchus, a
Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us.
44-27:18 And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship;
45-1:20 For the
invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so
that they are without excuse:
45-1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication,
wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit,
malignity; whisperers,
45-2:18 And
knowest his will, and approvest the
things that are more excellent, being instructed
out of the law;
45-3:21 But now
the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
45-3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
45-4:11 And he
received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith
which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of
all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might
be imputed unto them also:
45-4:12 And the
father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who
also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being
yet uncircumcised.
45-4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own
body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness
of Sarah’s womb:
45-4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he
was able also to perform.
45-5:1 Therefore
being justified by faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ:
45-5:9 Much
more then, being now justified by his blood, we
shall be saved from wrath through him.
45-5:10 For if,
when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much
more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his
life.
45-6:9 Knowing
that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no
more; death hath no more dominion over him.
45-6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants
of righteousness.
45-6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God,
ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
45-7:6 But now
we are delivered from the law, that being dead
wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
45-9:11 (For the children being
not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God
according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
45-10:3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about
to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the
righteousness of God.
45-11:17 And if
some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being
a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the
root and fatness of the olive tree;
45-12:5 So we, being many,
are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
45-15:16 That I
should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel
of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
46-4:12 And
labour, working with our own hands: being
reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer
it:
46-4:13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of
the world, and are the offscouring of
all things unto this day.
46-7:18 Is any
man called being circumcised? let him not become
uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
46-7:21 Art thou
called being
a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
46-7:22 For he
that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise
also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.
46-8:7 Howbeit there is not in every man that
knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and
their conscience being weak is defiled.
46-9:21 To them
that are without law, as without law, (being not
without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that
are without law.
46-10:17 For we being many
are one bread, and one body: for we
are all partakers of that one bread.
46-12:12 For as the
body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
47-5:3 If so be
that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
47-5:4 For we
that are in this tabernacle do groan,
being burdened: not for that we would be
unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
47-8:17 For
indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being
more forward, of his own accord he went unto you.
47-9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness,
which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
47-10:1 Now I
Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in
presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
47-11:9 And when
I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which
was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.
47-12:16 But be it so,
I did not burden you: nevertheless, being
crafty, I caught you with guile.
47-13:2 I told
you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have
sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:
47-13:10 Therefore
I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the
power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.
48-1:14 And
profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my
fathers.
48-2:3 But
neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek,
was compelled to be circumcised:
48-2:14 But when
I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I
said unto Peter before them all, If
thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of
Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as
do the Jews?
48-3:13 Christ
hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being
made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
49-1:11 In whom
also we have obtained an inheritance, being
predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the
counsel of his own will:
49-1:18 The eyes
of your understanding being enlightened; that ye
may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of
his inheritance in the saints,
49-2:11 Wherefore
remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called
Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by
hands;
49-2:12 That at
that time ye were without Christ, being aliens
from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise,
having no hope, and without God in the world:
49-2:20 And are
built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
49-3:17 That
Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being
rooted and grounded in love,
49-4:18 Having
the understanding darkened, being alienated from
the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness
of their heart:
49-4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto
lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
50-1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath
begun a good work in you will perform it until
the day of Jesus Christ:
50-1:11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which
are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
50-2:2 Fulfil
ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
50-2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be
equal with God:
50-2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself,
and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
50-3:10 That I
may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his
sufferings, being made conformable unto his
death;
51-1:10 That ye
might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being
fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
51-2:2 That
their hearts might be comforted, being knit
together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding,
to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
51-2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your
flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
52-2:8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing
to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls,
because ye were dear unto us.
52-2:17 But we,
brethren, being taken from you for a short time
in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face
with great desire.
54-2:14 And Adam
was not deceived, but the woman being deceived
was in the transgression.
54-3:6 Not a
novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall
into the condemnation of the devil.
54-3:10 And let
these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
55-1:4 Greatly
desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy
tears, that I may be filled with joy;
55-3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
56-1:16 They
profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and
disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
56-3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs
according to the hope of eternal life.
56-3:11 Knowing
that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being
condemned of himself.
57-1:9 Yet for
love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a
prisoner of Jesus Christ.
58-1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all
things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat
down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
58-1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath
by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
58-2:18 For in
that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he
is able to succour them that are tempted.
58-4:1 Let us therefore
fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you
should seem to come short of it.
58-4:2 For unto
us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not
profit them, not being mixed with faith in them
that heard it.
58-5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal
salvation unto all them that obey him;
58-7:2 To whom
also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being
by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem,
which is, King of peace;
58-7:12 For the
priesthood being changed, there is made of
necessity a change also of the law.
58-9:11 But
Christ being come an high priest of good things to
come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to
say, not of this building;
58-11:4 By faith
Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he
obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it
he being dead yet speaketh.
58-11:7 By faith
Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as
yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which
he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
58-11:37 They were
stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they
wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being
destitute, afflicted, tormented;
58-13:3 Remember
them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and
them which suffer adversity, as being
yourselves also in the body.
59-1:25 But whoso
looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful
hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
59-2:17 Even so
faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being
alone.
60-1:7 That the
trial of your faith, being much more precious
than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise
and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
60-1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
60-2:8 And a
stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even
to them which stumble at the word, being
disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
60-2:24 Who his
own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by
whose stripes ye were healed.
60-3:5 For
after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God,
adorned themselves, being in subjection unto
their own husbands:
60-3:7 Likewise,
ye husbands, dwell with them according
to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your
prayers be not hindered.
60-3:18 For
Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might
bring us to God, being put to death in the
flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
60-3:22 Who is
gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and
powers being made subject unto him.
60-5:3 Neither
as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples
to the flock.
61-3:6 Whereby
the world that then was, being overflowed with
water, perished:
61-3:12 Looking
for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements
shall melt with fervent heat?
61-3:17 Ye therefore,
beloved, seeing ye know these things before,
beware lest ye also, being led away with the
error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
66-1:12 And I
turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being
turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
66-12:2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and
pained to be delivered.
66-14:4 These are
they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which
follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the
firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
