01-GENESIS
01-1:29 And God
said, Behold, I have given you every herb
bearing seed, which is upon the face
of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
01-1:31 And God
saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and
the morning were the sixth day.
01-3:22 And the
LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one
of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take
also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
01-4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face
of the earth; and from thy face shall I be
hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall
come to pass, that every one that
findeth me shall slay me.
01-6:12 And God looked
upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for
all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
01-6:13 And God
said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled
with violence through them; and, behold, I will
destroy them with the earth.
01-6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the
earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the
breath of life, from under heaven; and every
thing that is in the earth shall die.
01-8:13 And it came
to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of
the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the
covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold,
the face of the ground was dry.
01-9:9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with
your seed after you;
01-11:6 And the
LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language;
and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which
they have imagined to do.
01-12:11 And it
came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold
now, I know that thou art a fair
woman to look upon:
01-12:19 Why saidst
thou, She is my sister? so I might
have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold
thy wife, take her, and go thy way.
01-15:3 And Abram
said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed:
and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
01-15:4 And, behold, the
word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
This shall not be thine heir; but he
that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
01-15:17 And it
came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that
passed between those pieces.
01-16:2 And Sarai
said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath
restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I
may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
01-16:6 But Abram
said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thy hand; do to her as it pleaseth
thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face.
01-16:11 And the
angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son,
and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
01-16:14 Wherefore
the well was called Beerlahairoi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
01-17:4 As for
me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
01-17:20 And as for
Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have
blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly;
twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
01-18:9 And they
said unto him, Where is Sarah thy
wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.
01-18:27 And
Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have
taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am
but dust and ashes:
01-18:31 And he
said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak
unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I
will not destroy it for twenty’s
sake.
01-19:2 And he
said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you,
into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall
rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in
the street all night.
01-19:8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known
man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these
men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
01-19:19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight,
and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my
life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
01-19:20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is
a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
01-19:34 And it came
to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make
him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
01-20:3 But God
came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a
dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife.
01-20:15 And
Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth
thee.
01-20:16 And unto
Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother
a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to
thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are
with thee, and with all other: thus
she was reproved.
01-22:1 And it
came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him,
Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
01-22:7 And Isaac
spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
01-22:13 And
Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold
behind him a ram caught in a thicket
by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt
offering in the stead of his son.
01-22:20 And it
came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also born children unto thy
brother Nahor;
01-24:13 Behold, I stand here
by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to
draw water:
01-24:15 And it
came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold,
Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor,
Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.
01-24:30 And it
came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister’s hands,
and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man
unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold,
he stood by the camels at the well.
01-24:43 Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall
come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of
thy pitcher to drink;
01-24:45 And before
I had done speaking in mine heart, behold,
Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the
well, and drew water: and I said unto
her, Let me drink, I pray thee.
01-24:51 Behold, Rebekah is
before thee, take her, and go,
and let her be thy master’s son’s wife, as the LORD hath spoken.
01-24:63 And Isaac
went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes,
and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
01-25:24 And when
her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold,
there were twins in her womb.
01-25:32 And Esau
said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to
me?
01-26:8 And it
came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the
Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold,
Isaac was sporting with Rebekah his
wife.
01-26:9 And
Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a
surety she is thy wife: and how
saidst thou, She is my sister? And
Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.
01-27:1 And it
came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could
not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said
unto him, Behold, here am I.
01-27:2 And he
said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day
of my death:
01-27:6 And
Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold,
I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,
01-27:11 And Jacob
said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my
brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:
01-27:36 And he said,
Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he
took away my birthright; and, behold, now he
hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for
me?
01-27:37 And Isaac
answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made
him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with
corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?
01-27:39 And Isaac
his father answered and said unto him, Behold,
thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from
above;
01-27:42 And these
words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob
her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy
brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
01-28:12 And he
dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the
earth, and the top of it reached to heaven:
and behold the angels of God ascending
and descending on it.
01-28:13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father,
and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and
to thy seed;
01-28:15 And, behold, I am with
thee, and will keep thee in all places whither
thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave
thee, until I have done that which I
have spoken to thee of.
01-29:2 And he
looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo,
there were three flocks of sheep
lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well’s mouth.
01-29:6 And he
said unto them, Is he well? And they
said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep.
01-29:25 And it
came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not
I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?
01-30:3 And she
said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and
she shall bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.
01-30:34 And Laban
said, Behold, I would it might be according to
thy word.
01-31:2 And Jacob
beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it
was not toward him as before.
01-31:10 And it
came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes,
and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which
leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked,
speckled, and grisled.
01-31:51 And Laban
said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold this pillar,
which I have cast betwixt me and thee;
01-32:18 Then thou
shalt say, They be thy servant
Jacob’s; it is a present sent unto my
lord Esau: and, behold, also he is behind us.
01-32:20 And say ye
moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will
appease him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his
face; peradventure he will accept of me.
01-33:1 And Jacob
lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold,
Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah,
and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.
01-34:21 These men are peaceable with us; therefore let
them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for the land, behold, it is large
enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give
them our daughters.
01-37:7 For, behold, we were binding
sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made
obeisance to my sheaf.
01-37:9 And he
dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made
obeisance to me.
01-37:15 And a
certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the
man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?
01-37:19 And they
said one to another, Behold, this dreamer
cometh.
01-37:25 And they
sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with
their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.
01-37:29 And Reuben
returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; and he rent his
clothes.
01-38:13 And it was
told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law
goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.
01-38:23 And Judah
said, Let her take it to her, lest we
be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou
hast not found her.
01-38:24 And it came
to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy
daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold,
she is with child by whoredom. And
Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.
01-38:27 And it
came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold,
twins were in her womb.
01-38:29 And it
came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold,
his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.
01-39:8 But he
refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold,
my master wotteth not what is with me
in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
01-40:6 And
Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were
sad.
01-40:9 And the
chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was
before me;
01-40:16 When the
chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three
white baskets on my head:
01-41:1 And it
came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.
01-41:2 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured
kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.
01-41:3 And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the
river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.
01-41:5 And he
slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold,
seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.
01-41:6 And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind
sprung up after them.
01-41:7 And the
seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a
dream.
01-41:17 And
Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I
stood upon the bank of the river:
01-41:18 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine,
fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:
01-41:19 And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and
very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt
for badness:
01-41:22 And I saw
in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in
one stalk, full and good:
01-41:23 And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung
up after them:
01-41:29 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty
throughout all the land of Egypt:
01-42:2 And he
said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in
Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and
not die.
01-42:13 And they
said, Thy servants are twelve
brethren, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not.
01-42:22 And Reuben
answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the
child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold,
also his blood is required.
01-42:27 And as one
of them opened his sack to give his ass provender in the inn, he espied his
money; for, behold, it was in his sack’s mouth.
01-42:35 And it
came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold,
every man’s bundle of money was in
his sack: and when both they and
their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid.
01-43:21 And it
came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man’s
money was in the mouth of his sack,
our money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand.
01-44:8 Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks’
mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should
we steal out of thy lord’s house silver or gold?
01-44:16 And Judah
said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we
clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my
lord’s servants, both we, and he also
with whom the cup is found.
01-45:12 And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother
Benjamin, that it is my mouth that
speaketh unto you.
01-47:1 Then
Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their
flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of
Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
01-47:23 Then
Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have
bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.
01-48:1 And it
came to pass after these things, that one
told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two
sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
01-48:2 And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel
strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.
01-48:4 And said
unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and
multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give
this land to thy seed after thee for an
everlasting possession.
01-48:21 And Israel
said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be
with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.
01-50:18 And his
brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy
servants.
02-1:9 And he
said unto his people, Behold, the people of the
children of Israel are more and
mightier than we:
02-2:6 And when
she had opened it, she saw the child:
and, behold, the babe wept. And she had
compassion on him, and said, This is one of
the Hebrews’ children.
02-2:13 And when
he went out the second day, behold, two men of
the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore
smitest thou thy fellow?
02-3:2 And the
angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a
bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned
with fire, and the bush was not
consumed.
02-3:9 Now
therefore, behold, the cry of the children of
Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the
Egyptians oppress them.
02-3:13 And Moses
said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them,
The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
02-4:1 And
Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will
not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not
appeared unto thee.
02-4:6 And the
LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put
his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold,
his hand was leprous as snow.
02-4:7 And he
said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom
again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold,
it was turned again as his other flesh.
02-4:14 And the
anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well.
And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee:
and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.
02-4:23 And I say
unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him
go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.
02-5:5 And
Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now
are many, and ye make them rest from
their burdens.
02-5:16 There is
no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in
thine own people.
02-6:12 And Moses
spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the
children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me,
who am of uncircumcised lips?
02-6:30 And Moses
said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall
Pharaoh hearken unto me?
02-7:16 And thou
shalt say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying,
Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
02-7:17 Thus
saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite
with the rod that is in mine hand
upon the waters which are in the
river, and they shall be turned to blood.
02-8:2 And if
thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:
02-8:21 Else, if
thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will
send swarms of flies upon thee, and
upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of
the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of
flies, and also the ground whereon they are.
02-8:29 And Moses
said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat
the LORD that the swarms of flies may
depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let
not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice
to the LORD.
02-9:3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon
the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
02-9:7 And
Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of
the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and
he did not let the people go.
02-9:18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to
rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation
thereof even until now.
02-10:4 Else, if
thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to
morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:
02-14:10 And when
Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they
were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
02-14:17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and
they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his
host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
02-16:4 Then said
the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread
from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate
every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
02-16:10 And it
came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of
Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold,
the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.
02-16:14 And when
the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the
face of the wilderness there lay a
small round thing, as small as the
hoar frost on the ground.
02-17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock
in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it,
that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of
Israel.
02-23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in
the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
02-24:8 And Moses
took the blood, and sprinkled it on
the people, and said, Behold the blood of the
covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
02-24:14 And he
said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto
them.
02-31:6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of
Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted
I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;
02-32:9 And the
LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold,
it is a stiffnecked people:
02-32:34 Therefore
now go, lead the people unto the place of
which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine
Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit
their sin upon them.
02-33:21 And the
LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
02-34:10 And he
said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy
people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in
any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
02-34:11 Observe
thou that which I command thee this day: behold,
I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and
the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
02-34:30 And when
Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold,
the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.
02-39:43 And Moses
did look upon all the work, and, behold, they
had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses
blessed them.
03-10:16 And Moses diligently
sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold,
it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
03-10:18 Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the
holy place: ye should indeed have
eaten it in the holy place, as I
commanded.
03-10:19 And Aaron
said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they
offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such
things have befallen me: and if I had
eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the
LORD?
03-13:5 And the
priest shall look on him the seventh day: and, behold,
if the plague in his sight be at a
stay, and the plague spread not in
the skin; then the priest shall shut him up seven days more:
03-13:6 And the
priest shall look on him again the seventh day: and, behold,
if the plague be somewhat dark, and the
plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean: it is but a scab: and he shall wash his
clothes, and be clean.
03-13:8 And if the priest see that, behold, the scab spreadeth in the skin, then the
priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is
a leprosy.
03-13:10 And the
priest shall see him: and, behold, if the
rising be white in the skin, and it have
turned the hair white, and there be quick
raw flesh in the rising;
03-13:13 Then the
priest shall consider: and, behold, if the leprosy have covered all his
flesh, he shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: it is all turned
white: he is clean.
03-13:17 And the
priest shall see him: and, behold, if the plague be turned into white; then
the priest shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: he is clean.
03-13:20 And if,
when the priest seeth it, behold, it be in sight lower than the skin, and the
hair thereof be turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the
boil.
03-13:21 But if the
priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hairs therein, and if it be not lower than the skin, but be
somewhat dark; then the priest shall shut him up seven days:
03-13:25 Then the
priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot be turned
white, and it be in sight deeper than
the skin; it is a leprosy broken out of
the burning: wherefore the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of leprosy.
03-13:26 But if the
priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hair in the bright
spot, and it be no lower than the other skin, but be somewhat dark; then the priest shall shut him up seven days:
03-13:30 Then the
priest shall see the plague: and, behold, if it be in sight deeper than the skin; and there be in it a yellow thin hair;
then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a dry scall, even a
leprosy upon the head or beard.
03-13:31 And if the
priest look on the plague of the scall, and, behold,
it be not in sight deeper than the
skin, and that there is no black hair
in it; then the priest shall shut up him
that hath the plague of the scall seven days:
03-13:32 And in the
seventh day the priest shall look on the plague: and, behold,
if the scall spread not, and there be
in it no yellow hair, and the scall be not
in sight deeper than the skin;
03-13:34 And in the
seventh day the priest shall look on the scall: and, behold,
if the scall be not spread in the
skin, nor be in sight deeper than the
skin; then the priest shall pronounce him clean: and he shall wash his clothes,
and be clean.
03-13:36 Then the
priest shall look on him: and, behold, if the
scall be spread in the skin, the priest shall not seek for yellow hair; he is unclean.
03-13:39 Then the
priest shall look: and, behold, if the bright spots in the skin of their
flesh be darkish white; it is a freckled spot that groweth in the skin; he is
clean.
03-13:43 Then the
priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the rising of the sore be white reddish in his bald head, or in
his bald forehead, as the leprosy appeareth in the skin of the flesh;
03-13:53 And if the
priest shall look, and, behold, the plague be
not spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in any thing
of skin;
03-13:55 And the
priest shall look on the plague, after that it is washed: and, behold, if the
plague have not changed his colour, and the plague be not spread; it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the
fire; it is fret inward, whether it be bare within or without.
03-13:56 And if the
priest look, and, behold, the plague be somewhat dark after the washing of
it; then he shall rend it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the
warp, or out of the woof:
03-14:3 And the
priest shall go forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look, and, behold, if the
plague of leprosy be healed in the leper;
03-14:37 And he
shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow strakes, greenish or
reddish, which in sight are lower
than the wall;
03-14:39 And the
priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look: and, behold, if the
plague be spread in the walls of the house;
03-14:44 Then the
priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it
is a fretting leprosy in the house:
it is unclean.
03-14:48 And if the
priest shall come in, and look upon it, and,
behold, the plague hath not spread in the house,
after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall pronounce the house
clean, because the plague is healed.
03-25:20 And if ye
shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold,
we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
04-3:12 And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the
children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among
the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine;
04-12:8 With him
will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the
similitude of the LORD shall he behold:
wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
04-12:10 And the
cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold,
Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon
Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
04-16:42 And it
came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against
Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the
LORD appeared.
04-16:47 And Aaron
took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put
on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
04-17:8 And it
came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness;
and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of
Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded
almonds.
04-17:12 And the
children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold,
we die, we perish, we all perish.
04-18:6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from
among the children of Israel: to you they
are given as a gift for the LORD,
to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-18:8 And the
LORD spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given
thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the
children of Israel; unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and
to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever.
04-18:21 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the
tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of
the congregation.
04-20:16 And when
we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought
us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost
of thy border:
04-22:5 He sent messengers
therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call
him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out
from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the
earth, and they abide over against me:
04-22:11 Behold, there is
a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now,
curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them
out.
04-22:32 And the
angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these
three times? behold, I went out to withstand
thee, because thy way is perverse
before me:
04-23:9 For from
the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold
him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the
nations.
04-23:11 And Balak
said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine
enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
04-23:17 And when
he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt
offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath
the LORD spoken?
04-23:20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
04-23:24 Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and
lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the
slain.
04-24:10 And
Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and
Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
04-24:14 And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to
thy people in the latter days.
04-24:17 I shall
see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but
not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of
Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of
Sheth.
04-25:6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought
unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight
of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the
door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-25:12 Wherefore
say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of
peace:
04-31:16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through
the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of
Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
04-32:1 Now the
children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of
cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was
a place for cattle;
04-32:14 And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead, an
increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward
Israel.
04-32:23 But if ye
will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against
the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
05-1:8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and
possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.
05-1:10 The LORD
your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for
multitude.
05-1:21 Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before
thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath
said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.
05-2:24 Rise ye
up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold,
I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land:
begin to possess it, and contend with
him in battle.
05-2:31 And the
LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give
Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his
land.
05-3:11 For only
Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold,
his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of
Ammon? nine cubits was the length
thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.
05-3:27 Get thee
up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and
southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not
go over this Jordan.
05-4:5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even
as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go
to possess it.
05-5:24 And ye
said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us
his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of
the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
05-9:13 Furthermore
the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a
stiffnecked people:
05-9:16 And I
looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the
LORD your God, and had made you a
molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had
commanded you.
05-10:14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD’S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.
05-11:26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a
curse;
05-13:14 Then shalt
thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among
you;
05-17:4 And it be
told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and
enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such
abomination is wrought in Israel:
05-19:18 And the
judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold,
if the witness be a false witness, and hath
testified falsely against his brother;
05-26:10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land,
which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy
God, and worship before the LORD thy God:
05-31:14 And the
LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thy days approach
that thou must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of
the congregation, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and
presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.
05-31:16 And the
LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep
with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods
of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which
I have made with them.
05-31:27 For I know
thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while
I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and
how much more after my death?
05-32:49 Get thee
up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount
Nebo, which is in the land of Moab,
that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the
children of Israel for a possession:
06-2:2 And it
was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold,
there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the
country.
06-2:18 Behold, when we
come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window
which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy
mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.
06-3:11 Behold, the ark of the covenant of the LORD of all the
earth passeth over before you into Jordan.
06-5:13 And it
came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and
looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against
him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto
him, Art thou for us, or for our
adversaries?
06-7:21 When I
saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of
silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and
took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my
tent, and the silver under it.
06-7:22 So Joshua
sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold,
it was hid in his tent, and the silver
under it.
06-8:4 And he
commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie in
wait against the city, even behind
the city: go not very far from the city, but be ye all ready:
06-8:20 And when
the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold,
the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this
way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon
the pursuers.
06-9:12 This our
bread we took hot for our provision
out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy:
06-9:13 And these
bottles of wine, which we filled, were new;
and, behold, they be rent: and these our
garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.
06-9:25 And now, behold, we are in
thine hand: as it seemeth good and right unto thee to do unto us, do.
06-14:10 And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these
forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the
wilderness: and now, lo, I am this
day fourscore and five years old.
06-22:11 And the
children of Israel heard say, Behold, the
children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have
built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at
the passage of the children of Israel.
06-22:28 Therefore
said we, that it shall be, when they should so
say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold
the pattern of the altar of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for burnt
offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it is a
witness between us and you.
06-23:4 Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations
that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the
nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward.
06-23:14 And, behold, this day I am
going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all
your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the
LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.
06-24:27 And Joshua
said unto all the people, Behold, this stone
shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which
he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your
God.
07-1:2 And the
LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have
delivered the land into his hand.
07-3:24 When he
was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet in his summer
chamber.
07-3:25 And they
tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he
opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold,
their lord was fallen down dead on
the earth.
07-4:22 And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet
him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest.
And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples.
07-6:15 And he
said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is
poor in Manasseh, and I am the
least in my father’s house.
07-6:28 And when
the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold,
the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was
offered upon the altar that was built.
07-6:37 Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only,
and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt
save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.
07-7:13 And when
Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley
bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that
it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along.
07-7:17 And he
said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold,
when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.
07-8:15 And he
came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold
Zebah and Zalmunna with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we
should give bread unto thy men that are weary?
07-9:31 And he
sent messengers unto Abimelech privily, saying, Behold,
Gaal the son of Ebed and his brethren be come to Shechem; and, behold, they fortify the city against thee.
07-9:33 And it
shall be, that in the morning, as
soon as the sun is up, thou shalt rise early, and set upon the city: and, behold, when he
and the people that is with him come
out against thee, then mayest thou do to them as thou shalt find occasion.
07-9:36 And when
Gaal saw the people, he said to Zebul, Behold,
there come people down from the top of the mountains. And Zebul said unto him,
Thou seest the shadow of the mountains as if
they were men.
07-9:43 And he took
the people, and divided them into three companies, and laid wait in the field,
and looked, and, behold, the people were come forth out of the city; and he
rose up against them, and smote them.
07-11:34 And
Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold,
his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had
neither son nor daughter.
07-13:3 And the
angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art
barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.
07-13:7 But he
said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and
bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite
to God from the womb to the day of his death.
07-13:10 And the
woman made haste, and ran, and shewed her husband, and said unto him, Behold, the man hath appeared unto me, that came unto
me the other day.
07-14:5 Then went
Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the
vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion
roared against him.
07-14:8 And after
a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the
lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.
07-14:16 And
Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me
not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not
told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?
07-16:10 And
Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast
mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest
be bound.
07-17:2 And he
said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels
of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest
of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother
said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my
son.
07-18:9 And they
said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very
good: and are ye still? be not
slothful to go, and to enter to
possess the land.
07-18:12 And they
went up, and pitched in Kirjathjearim, in Judah: wherefore they called that
place Mahanehdan unto this day: behold, it is behind Kirjathjearim.
07-19:9 And when
the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father
in law, the damsel’s father, said unto him, Behold,
now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that
thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou
mayest go home.
07-19:16 And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the
field at even, which was also of
mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.
07-19:22 Now as they were making their hearts
merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons
of Belial, beset the house round about, and
beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man,
saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.
07-19:24 Behold, here is my
daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye
them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so
vile a thing.
07-19:27 And her
lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to
go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine
was fallen down at the door of the
house, and her hands were upon the
threshold.
07-20:7 Behold, ye are all
children of Israel; give here your advice and counsel.
07-20:40 But when
the flame began to arise up out of the city with a pillar of smoke, the
Benjamites looked behind them, and, behold, the
flame of the city ascended up to heaven.
07-21:8 And they
said, What one is there of the tribes
of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the LORD? And, behold,
there came none to the camp from Jabeshgilead to the assembly.
07-21:9 For the
people were numbered, and, behold, there were none of the inhabitants of
Jabeshgilead there.
07-21:19 Then they
said, Behold, there is a feast of the LORD in Shiloh yearly in a place which is on the
north side of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goeth up from Bethel
to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah.
07-21:21 And see,
and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out
to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man
his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.

said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back
unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.
08-2:4 And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the
reapers, The LORD be with you. And
they answered him, The LORD bless thee.
08-3:2 And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose
maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley
to night in the threshingfloor.
08-3:8 And it
came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.
08-4:1 Then
went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold,
the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn
aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.
09-2:31 Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm,
and the arm of thy father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in thine
house.
09-3:11 And the LORD
said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in
Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
09-5:3 And when
they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold,
Dagon was fallen upon his face to the
earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place
again.
09-5:4 And when
they arose early on the morrow morning, behold,
Dagon was fallen upon his face to the
ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of
his hands were cut off upon the
threshold; only the stump of Dagon
was left to him.
09-8:5 And said
unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons
walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
09-9:6 And he
said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass:
now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go.
09-9:7 Then
said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man?
for the bread is spent in our vessels, and there
is not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we?
09-9:8 And the
servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I
have here at hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way.
09-9:12 And they
answered them, and said, He is; behold, he is before you: make haste now, for he
came to day to the city; for there is a
sacrifice of the people to day in the high place:
09-9:14 And they
went up into the city: and when they
were come into the city, behold, Samuel came out
against them, for to go up to the high place.
09-9:17 And when
Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold
the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people.
09-9:24 And the
cook took up the shoulder, and that which
was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is
left! set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been
kept for thee since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with
Samuel that day.
09-10:8 And thou
shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold,
I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt
thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do.
09-10:10 And when
they came thither to the hill, behold, a company
of prophets met him; and the spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied
among them.
09-10:11 And it
came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the
people said one to another, What is this
that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?
09-10:22 Therefore they
enquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD
answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the
stuff.
09-11:5 And, behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and
Saul said, What aileth the people
that they weep? And they told him the tidings of the men of Jabesh.
09-12:1 And
Samuel said unto all Israel, Behold, I have
hearkened unto your voice in all that ye said unto me, and have made a king
over you.
09-12:2 And now, behold, the king walketh before you: and I am old and
grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before
you from my childhood unto this day.
09-12:3 Behold, here I am:
witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have
I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I
oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any
bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.
09-12:13 Now
therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the LORD hath set a king over you.
09-13:10 And it
came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt
offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out
to meet him, that he might salute him.
09-14:7 And his
armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is
in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart.
09-14:8 Then said
Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover
ourselves unto them.
09-14:11 And both
of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines: and the
Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth
out of the holes where they had hid themselves.
09-14:16 And the
watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and, behold,
the multitude melted away, and they went on beating down one another.
09-14:17 Then said
Saul unto the people that were with
him, Number now, and see who is gone from us. And when they had numbered, behold, Jonathan and his armourbearer were not there.
09-14:20 And Saul
and all the people that were with him
assembled themselves, and they came to the battle: and, behold, every man’s sword was against his fellow, and there was a very great discomfiture.
09-14:26 And when
the people were come into the wood, behold, the
honey dropped; but no man put his hand to his mouth: for the people feared the
oath.
09-14:33 Then they
told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin
against the LORD, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, Ye have
transgressed: roll a great stone unto me this day.
09-15:12 And when
Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul
came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a
place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
09-15:22 And Samuel
said, Hath the LORD as great delight
in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is
better than sacrifice, and to
hearken than the fat of rams.
09-16:11 And Samuel
said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children?
And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold,
he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we
will not sit down till he come hither.
09-16:15 And Saul’s
servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil
spirit from God troubleth thee.
09-16:18 Then
answered one of the servants, and said, Behold,
I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of
war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.
09-17:23 And as he
talked with them, behold, there came up the
champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the
Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.
09-18:17 And Saul
said to David, Behold my elder daughter Merab,
her will I give thee to wife: only be thou valiant for me, and fight the LORD’S
battles. For Saul said, Let not mine hand be upon him, but let the hand of the
Philistines be upon him.
09-18:22 And Saul
commanded his servants, saying, Commune
with David secretly, and say, Behold, the king
hath delight in thee, and all his servants love thee: now therefore be the
king’s son in law.
09-19:16 And when
the messengers were come in, behold, there was an image in the bed, with a pillow
of goats’ hair for his bolster.
09-19:19 And it was
told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.
09-19:22 Then went
he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one
said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
09-20:2 And he
said unto him, God forbid; thou shalt not die: behold,
my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me:
and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so.
09-20:5 And David
said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is the new moon, and I should not fail
to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the
field unto the third day at even.
09-20:12 And
Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel, when I have sounded my father
about to morrow any time, or the
third day, and, behold, if there
be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;
09-20:21 And, behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go, find out the arrows. If I expressly say unto the lad, Behold, the arrows are
on this side of thee, take them; then come thou: for there is peace to thee, and no hurt; as the LORD liveth.
09-20:22 But if I
say thus unto the young man, Behold, the arrows are beyond thee; go thy way: for the
LORD hath sent thee away.
09-20:23 And as touching the matter which thou and I
have spoken of, behold, the LORD be between thee and me for ever.
09-21:9 And the
priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the
valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take
that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And
David said, There is none like that;
give it me.
09-23:1 Then they
told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines
fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshingfloors.
09-23:3 And
David’s men said unto him, Behold, we be afraid
here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of
the Philistines?
09-24:1 And it
came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it
was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of Engedi.
09-24:4 And the
men of David said unto him, Behold the day of
which the LORD said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver
thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good
unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul’s robe privily.
09-24:9 And David
said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men’s words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?
09-24:10 Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the
LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared
thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD’S anointed.
09-24:20 And now, behold, I know well that thou shalt surely be king,
and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand.
09-25:14 But one of
the young men told Abigail, Nabal’s wife, saying, Behold,
David sent messengers out of the wilderness to salute our master; and he railed
on them.
09-25:19 And she
said unto her servants, Go on before me; behold,
I come after you. But she told not her husband Nabal.
09-25:20 And it was
so, as she rode on the ass, that she
came down by the covert on the hill, and, behold,
David and his men came down against her; and she met them.
09-25:36 And
Abigail came to Nabal; and, behold, he held a
feast in his house, like the feast of a king; and Nabal’s heart was merry within him, for he was very drunken: wherefore she told him
nothing, less or more, until the morning light.
09-25:41 And she
arose, and bowed herself on her face
to the earth, and said, Behold, let thine handmaid be a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.
09-26:7 So David
and Abishai came to the people by night: and, behold,
Saul lay sleeping within the trench, and his spear stuck in the ground at his
bolster: but Abner and the people lay round about him.
09-26:21 Then said Saul,
I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because
my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold,
I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.
09-26:22 And David
answered and said, Behold the king’s spear! and
let one of the young men come over and fetch it.
09-26:24 And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine
eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD, and let him
deliver me out of all tribulation.
09-28:7 Then said
Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may
go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is
a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
09-28:9 And the
woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what
Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the
wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to
cause me to die?
09-28:21 And the
woman came unto Saul, and saw that he was sore troubled, and said unto him, Behold, thine handmaid hath obeyed thy voice, and I
have put my life in my hand, and have hearkened unto thy words which thou
spakest unto me.
09-30:3 So David
and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their
wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.
09-30:16 And when
he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the
earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines,
and out of the land of Judah.
09-30:26 And when
David came to Ziklag, he sent of the spoil unto the elders of Judah, even to his friends, saying, Behold a present for you of the spoil of the enemies
of the LORD;
10-1:2 It came
even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a
man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his
head: and so it was, when he came to
David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.
10-1:6 And the
young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the
chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.
10-1:18 (Also he
bade them teach the children of Judah the
use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.)
10-3:12 And Abner
sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make
thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all
Israel unto thee.
10-3:22 And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great
spoil with them: but Abner was not
with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.
10-3:24 Then Joab
came to the king, and said, What hast thou done? behold,
Abner came unto thee; why is it that thou hast sent him away, and he is
quite gone?
10-4:8 And they
brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul thine
enemy, which sought thy life; and the LORD hath avenged my lord the king this
day of Saul, and of his seed.
10-4:10 When one
told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking
to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a
reward for his tidings:
10-5:1 Then
came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy
bone and thy flesh.
10-9:4 And the
king said unto him, Where is he? And
Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of
Ammiel, in Lodebar.
10-9:6 Now when
Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he
fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he
answered, Behold thy servant!
10-12:11 Thus saith
the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against
thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and
give them unto thy neighbour, and he
shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
10-12:18 And it
came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David
feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto
him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if
we tell him that the child is dead?
10-13:24 And
Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now,
thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants
go with thy servant.
10-13:34 But Absalom
fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked,
and, behold, there came much people by the way
of the hill side behind him.
10-13:35 And
Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king’s
sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.
10-13:36 And it
came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king’s sons came, and lifted up their
voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.
10-14:7 And, behold, the whole family is risen against thine
handmaid, and they said, Deliver him that smote his brother, that we may kill
him, for the life of his brother whom he slew; and we will destroy the heir
also: and so they shall quench my coal which is left, and shall not leave to my
husband neither name nor remainder
upon the earth.
10-14:21 And the
king said unto Joab, Behold now, I have done
this thing: go therefore, bring the young man Absalom again.
10-14:32 And
Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto thee,
saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king, to say, Wherefore am I
come from Geshur? it had been good
for me to have been there still: now
therefore let me see the king’s face; and if there be any iniquity in me, let him kill me.
10-15:15 And the
king’s servants said unto the king, Behold, thy
servants are ready to do whatsoever
my lord the king shall appoint.
10-15:26 But if he
thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth
good unto him.
10-15:32 And it
came to pass, that when David was
come to the top of the mount, where
he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite
came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:
10-15:36 Behold, they
have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok’s son, and Jonathan Abiathar’s son;
and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear.
10-16:1 And when
David was a little past the top of the
hill, behold, Ziba the servant of
Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred
loaves of bread, and an hundred
bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.
10-16:3 And the
king said, And where is thy master’s
son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth
at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the
kingdom of my father.
10-16:4 Then said
the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I may find grace in thy sight, my
lord, O king.
10-16:5 And when
king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came
out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he
came.
10-16:8 The LORD hath
returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast
reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy
son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.
10-16:11 And David
said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold,
my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden
him.
10-17:9 Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass,
when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will
say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.
10-18:10 And a
certain man saw it, and told Joab,
and said, Behold, I saw Absalom hanged in an
oak.
10-18:11 And Joab
said unto the man that told him, And, behold,
thou sawest him, and why didst thou
not smite him there to the ground? And I would have given thee ten shekels of silver, and a girdle.
10-18:24 And David
sat between the two gates: and the watchman went up to the roof over the gate
unto the wall, and lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold
a man running alone.
10-18:26 And the watchman
saw another man running: and the watchman called unto the porter, and said, Behold another man
running alone. And the king said, He also bringeth tidings.
10-18:31 And, behold, Cushi came; and Cushi said, Tidings, my lord
the king: for the LORD hath avenged thee this day of all them that rose up
against thee.
10-19:1 And it
was told Joab, Behold, the king weepeth and
mourneth for Absalom.
10-19:8 Then the
king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king doth sit in the gate. And all the
people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.
10-19:20 For thy
servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold,
I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my
lord the king.
10-19:37 Let thy
servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father
and of my mother. But behold thy servant
Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem
good unto thee.
10-19:41 And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and
said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away,
and have brought the king, and his household, and all David’s men with him,
over Jordan?
10-20:21 The matter
is not so: but a man of mount
Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, hath lifted up his hand against the
king, even against David: deliver him
only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to thee over the
wall.
10-24:22 And
Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen
for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
11-1:14 Behold, while thou yet talkest there with the king, I
also will come in after thee, and confirm thy words.
11-1:18 And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and now, my lord the king,
thou knowest it not:
11-1:23 And they told
the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And
when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his
face to the ground.
11-1:25 For he is
gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance,
and hath called all the king’s sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar
the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink
before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.
11-1:42 And while
he yet spake, behold, Jonathan the son of
Abiathar the priest came: and Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for thou art a valiant man, and bringest good
tidings.
11-1:51 And it
was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah
feareth king Solomon: for, lo, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar,
saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me to day that he will not slay his servant
with the sword.
11-2:8 And, behold, thou
hast with thee Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Bahurim, which cursed
me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim: but he came down
to meet me at Jordan, and I sware to him by the LORD, saying, I will not put
thee to death with the sword.
11-2:29 And it
was told king Solomon that Joab was fled unto the tabernacle of the LORD; and, behold, he is by
the altar. Then Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, saying, Go, fall upon
him.
11-2:39 And it
came to pass at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei ran
away unto Achish son of Maachah king of Gath. And they told Shimei, saying, Behold, thy servants be in Gath.
11-3:12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have
given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee
before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
11-3:15 And
Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark
of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace
offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.
11-3:21 And when
I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold,
it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.
11-5:5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of
the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom
I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.
11-8:27 But will
God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the
heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that
I have builded?
11-10:7 Howbeit I
believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold,
the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I
heard.
11-11:22 Then
Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country? And
he answered, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any wise.
11-11:31 And he
said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of
Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of
the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:
11-12:28 Whereupon
the king took counsel, and made two calves of
gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out
of the land of Egypt.
11-13:1 And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the
word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.
11-13:2 And he
cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus
saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born
unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the
priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall
be burnt upon thee.
11-13:3 And he
gave a sign the same day, saying, This is
the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold,
the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are
upon it shall be poured out.
11-13:25 And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the
way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet
dwelt.
11-14:2 And
Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou
be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there is
Ahijah the prophet, which told me that I
should be king over this people.
11-14:5 And the
LORD said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of
Jeroboam cometh to ask a thing of thee for her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her: for it shall be,
when she cometh in, that she shall feign herself to be another woman.
11-14:10 Therefore,
behold, I will bring evil upon the house of
Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in
Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man
taketh away dung, till it be all gone.
11-14:19 And the
rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are
written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
11-15:19 There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and
gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart
from me.
11-16:3 Behold, I will take away the posterity of Baasha, and
the posterity of his house; and will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam
the son of Nebat.
11-17:9 Arise,
get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to
Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded
a widow woman there to sustain thee.
11-17:10 So he
arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said,
Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11-17:12 And she
said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I
have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a
cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and
my son, that we may eat it, and die.
11-18:7 And as
Obadiah was in the way, behold, Elijah met him:
and he knew him, and fell on his face, and said, Art thou that my lord Elijah?
11-18:8 And he
answered him, I am: go, tell thy
lord, Behold, Elijah is here.
11-18:11 And now
thou sayest, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here.
11-18:14 And now
thou sayest, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here: and he shall slay me.
11-18:44 And it
came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold,
there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go
up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and
get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.
11-19:5 And as he
lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then
an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
11-19:6 And he
looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his
head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
11-19:9 And he
came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold,
the word of the LORD came to him, and
he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?
11-19:11 And he
said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind
rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
11-19:13 And it was
so, when Elijah heard it that he wrapped his face in his
mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there
came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
11-20:13 And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel,
saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine hand this day;
and thou shalt know that I am the
LORD.
11-20:31 And his
servants said unto him, Behold now, we have
heard that the kings of the house of Israel are
merciful kings: let us, I pray thee, put sackcloth on our loins, and ropes
upon our heads, and go out to the king of Israel: peradventure he will save thy
life.
11-20:36 Then said
he unto him, Because thou hast not obeyed the voice of the LORD, behold, as soon as thou art departed from me, a lion
shall slay thee. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and
slew him.
11-20:39 And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king:
and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me,
and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be
for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver.
11-21:18 Arise, go
down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is
in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess
it.
11-21:21 Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take
away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the
wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,
11-22:13 And the
messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one
mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good.
11-22:23 Now
therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying
spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil
concerning thee.
11-22:25 And
Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that
day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
12-1:9 Then the
king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him:
and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And
he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.
12-1:14 Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up
the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my
life now be precious in thy sight.
12-2:11 And it
came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold,
there appeared a chariot of fire, and
horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind
into heaven.
12-2:16 And they
said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants
fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest
peradventure the spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some
mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.
12-2:19 And the men
of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray
thee, the situation of this city is pleasant,
as my lord seeth: but the water is nought,
and the ground barren.
12-3:20 And it
came to pass in the morning, when the meat offering was offered, that, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the
country was filled with water.
12-4:9 And she
said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive
that this is an holy man of God,
which passeth by us continually.
12-4:13 And he
said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou
hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or
to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
12-4:25 So she
went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when
the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder
is that Shunammite:
12-4:32 And when
Elisha was come into the house, behold, the
child was dead, and laid upon his
bed.
12-5:6 And he
brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come
unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover
him of his leprosy.
12-5:11 But
Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold,
I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of
the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
12-5:15 And he
returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before
him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in
Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
12-5:20 But
Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold,
my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that
which he brought: but, as the LORD
liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.
12-5:22 And he
said, All is well. My master hath
sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come
to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them,
I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.
12-6:1 And the
sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold
now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us.
12-6:13 And he
said, Go and spy where he is, that I
may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold,
he is in Dothan.
12-6:15 And when
the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses
and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
12-6:17 And
Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And
the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
12-6:20 And it
came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, LORD, open
the eyes of these men, that they may
see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the
midst of Samaria.
12-6:25 And there
was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they
besieged it, until an ass’s head was sold
for fourscore pieces of silver,
and the fourth part of a cab of dove’s dung for five pieces of silver.
12-6:30 And it
came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he rent his
clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth
within upon his flesh.
12-6:33 And while
he yet talked with them, behold, the messenger
came down unto him: and he said, Behold, this
evil is of the LORD; what should I
wait for the LORD any longer?
12-7:2 Then a
lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the
LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
12-7:5 And they
rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were
come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold,
there was no man there.
12-7:10 So they
came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We
came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of
man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.
12-7:13 And one
of his servants answered and said, Let some
take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the
city, (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: behold, I say, they
are even as all the multitude of the
Israelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see.
12-7:19 And that
lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold,
if the LORD should make windows in
heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold,
thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
12-8:5 And it
came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to
life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had
restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi
said, My lord, O king, this is the
woman, and this is her son, whom
Elisha restored to life.
12-9:5 And when
he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an
errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To
thee, O captain.
12-10:4 But they
were exceedingly afraid, and said, Behold, two
kings stood not before him: how then shall we stand?
12-10:9 And it came
to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the
people, Ye be righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him:
but who slew all these?
12-11:14 And when
she looked, behold, the king stood by a pillar,
as the manner was, and the princes
and the trumpeters by the king, and all the people of the land rejoiced, and
blew with trumpets: and Athaliah rent her clothes, and cried, Treason, Treason.
12-13:21 And it
came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold,
they spied a band of men; and they
cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and
touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.
12-15:11 And the
rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the
chronicles of the kings of Israel.
12-15:15 And the
rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are
written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
12-15:26 And the
rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold,
they are written in the book of the
chronicles of the kings of Israel.
12-15:31 And the
rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold,
they are written in the book of the
chronicles of the kings of Israel.
12-17:26 Wherefore
they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed,
and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the
land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold,
they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.
12-18:21 Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised
reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a
man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.
12-19:7 Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall
hear a rumour, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall
by the sword in his own land.
12-19:9 And when
he heard say of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, Behold,
he is come out to fight against thee: he sent messengers again unto Hezekiah,
saying,
12-19:11 Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have
done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered?
12-19:35 And it
came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the
camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they
arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
12-20:5 Turn
again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God
of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt
go up unto the house of the LORD.
12-20:17 Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy
fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon:
nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.
12-21:12 Therefore
thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it,
both his ears shall tingle.
12-22:16 Thus saith
the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this
place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even
all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:
12-22:20 Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers,
and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not
see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king
word again.
13-9:1 So all Israel
were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of
Israel and Judah, who were carried
away to Babylon for their transgression.
13-11:1 Then all
Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we are thy
bone and thy flesh.
13-11:25 Behold, he was honourable among the thirty, but
attained not to the first three: and
David set him over his guard.
13-22:9 Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a
man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his
name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his
days.
13-22:14 Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of
the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents
of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber
also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.
13-28:21 And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the
service of the house of God: and there
shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man,
for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.
13-29:29 Now the
acts of David the king, first and last, behold,
they are written in the book of
Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad
the seer,
14-2:4 Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my
God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense,
and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and
evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the
LORD our God. This is an ordinance for
ever to Israel.
14-2:8 Send me
also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that
thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold,
my servants shall be with thy
servants,
14-2:10 And, behold, I will give to thy servants, the hewers that cut
timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures
of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.
14-6:18 But will
God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold,
heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house
which I have built!
14-9:6 Howbeit
I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold,
the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I
heard.
14-13:12 And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain,
and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of
Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not
prosper.
14-13:14 And when
Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried
unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.
14-16:3 There is a league between me and thee,
as there was between my father and
thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and
gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from
me.
14-16:11 And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of
Judah and Israel.
14-18:12 And the
messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I
pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
14-18:22 Now
therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying
spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil
against thee.
14-18:24 And
Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day
when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
14-19:11 And, behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the son of
Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king’s matters: also the
Levites shall be officers before you.
Deal courageously, and the LORD shall be with the good.
14-20:2 Then
there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude
against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in
Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.
14-20:10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir,
whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of
Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;
14-20:11 Behold, I say,
how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou
hast given us to inherit.
14-20:16 To morrow
go ye down against them: behold, they come up by
the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at
the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.
14-20:24 And when Judah
came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude,
and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.
14-20:34 Now the
rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold,
they are written in the book of Jehu
the son of Hanani, who is mentioned
in the book of the kings of Israel.
14-21:14 Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy
people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods:
14-23:3 And all
the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said
unto them, Behold, the king’s son shall reign,
as the LORD hath said of the sons of David.
14-23:13 And she
looked, and, behold, the king stood at his
pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and
all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the
singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to sing praise. Then
Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.
14-24:27 Now concerning his sons, and the greatness
of the burdens laid upon him, and the
repairing of the house of God, behold, they are written in the story of the book of
the kings. And Amaziah his son reigned in his stead.
14-25:26 Now the
rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last, behold,
are they not written in the book of
the kings of Judah and Israel?
14-26:20 And
Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous
in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also
to go out, because the LORD had smitten him.
14-28:9 But a
prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was
Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto
them, Behold, because the LORD God of your
fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye
have slain them in a rage that reacheth
up unto heaven.
14-28:26 Now the
rest of his acts and of all his ways, first and last, behold,
they are written in the book of the
kings of Judah and Israel.
14-29:19 Moreover
all the vessels, which king Ahaz in his reign did cast away in his
transgression, have we prepared and sanctified, and, behold,
they are before the altar of the
LORD.
14-32:32 Now the rest
of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold,
they are written in the vision of
Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in
the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
14-33:18 Now the
rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the
seers that spake to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are
written in the book of the kings of Israel.
14-33:19 His prayer
also, and how God was intreated of him,
and all his sins, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high
places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are
written among the sayings of the seers.
14-34:24 Thus saith
the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this
place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even
all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the
king of Judah:
14-34:28 Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou
shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the
evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same.
So they brought the king word again.
14-35:25 And
Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women
spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance
in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.
14-35:27 And his
deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of
Israel and Judah.
14-36:8 Now the
rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that
which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of
Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
15-9:15 O LORD
God of Israel, thou art righteous:
for we remain yet escaped, as it is this
day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee
because of this.
16-9:36 Behold, we are servants
this day, and for the land that thou
gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants
in it:
17-6:5 And the
king’s servants said unto him, Behold, Haman
standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
17-7:9 And
Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which
Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the
house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.
17-8:7 Then the
king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and
him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.
18-1:12 And the
LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put
not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
18-1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness,
and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they
are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
18-2:6 And the
LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
18-4:3 Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast
strengthened the weak hands.
18-4:18 Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his
angels he charged with folly:
18-5:17 Behold, happy is
the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of
the Almighty:
18-8:19 Behold, this is the
joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
18-8:20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil
doers:
18-9:12 Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will
say unto him, What doest thou?
18-12:14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built
again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
18-12:15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up:
also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
18-13:18 Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
18-15:15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the
heavens are not clean in his sight.
18-16:19 Also now, behold, my witness is
in heaven, and my record is on
high.
18-19:7 Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry
aloud, but there is no judgment.
18-19:27 Whom I
shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold,
and not another; though my reins be
consumed within me.
18-20:9 The eye
also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place
any more behold him.
18-21:27 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.
18-22:12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
18-23:8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and
backward, but I cannot perceive him:
18-23:9 On the
left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold
him: he hideth himself on the right
hand, that I cannot see him:
18-24:5 Behold, as wild
asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the
wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.
18-25:5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the
stars are not pure in his sight.
18-27:12 Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether
vain?
18-28:28 And unto
man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
18-31:35 Oh that
one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me,
and that mine adversary had written a
book.
18-32:11 Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your
reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
18-32:12 Yea, I
attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced
Job, or that answered his words:
18-32:19 Behold, my belly is
as wine which hath no vent; it is
ready to burst like new bottles.
18-33:2 Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath
spoken in my mouth.
18-33:6 Behold, I am according
to thy wish in God’s stead: I also am formed out of the clay.
18-33:7 Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither
shall my hand be heavy upon thee.
18-33:10 Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth
me for his enemy,
18-33:12 Behold, in this
thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.
18-34:29 When he
giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
18-35:5 Look unto
the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.
18-36:5 Behold, God is mighty,
and despiseth not any: he is mighty
in strength and wisdom.
18-36:22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like
him?
18-36:24 Remember
that thou magnify his work, which men behold.
18-36:25 Every man
may see it; man may behold it afar off.
18-36:26 Behold, God is great,
and we know him not, neither can the
number of his years be searched out.
18-36:30 Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth
the bottom of the sea.
18-39:29 From thence
she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
18-40:4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my
mouth.
18-40:11 Cast
abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every
one that is proud, and abase him.
18-40:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth
grass as an ox.
18-40:23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his
mouth.
18-41:9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of
him?
19-7:14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath
conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
19-11:4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne
is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
19-11:7 For the
righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
19-17:2 Let my
sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold
the things that are equal.
19-17:15 As for me,
I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall
be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
19-27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that
will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my
life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to
enquire in his temple.
19-33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19-37:37 Mark the
perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
19-39:5 Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is
as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
19-46:8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath
made in the earth.
19-51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my
mother conceive me.
19-51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and
in the hidden part thou shalt make me
to know wisdom.
19-54:4 Behold, God is mine
helper: the Lord is with them that
uphold my soul.
19-59:4 They run
and prepare themselves without my fault:
awake to help me, and behold.
19-59:7 Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?
19-66:7 He ruleth
by his power for ever; his eyes behold the
nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
19-73:12 Behold, these are
the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
19-73:15 If I say,
I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
19-78:20 Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out,
and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for
his people?
19-80:14 Return, we
beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
19-84:9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of
thine anointed.
19-87:4 I will
make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
19-91:8 Only with
thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward
of the wicked.
19-102:19 For he hath
looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
19-113:6 Who
humbleth himself to behold the
things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
19-119:18 Open thou
mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out
of thy law.
19-119:40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me
in thy righteousness.
19-121:4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber
nor sleep.
19-123:2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our
eyes wait upon the LORD our God,
until that he have mercy upon us.
19-128:4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that
feareth the LORD.
19-133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for
brethren to dwell together in unity!
19-134:1 Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the
LORD.
19-139:8 If I ascend
up into heaven, thou art there: if I
make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
20-1:23 Turn you
at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit
unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
20-7:10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
20-11:31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the
earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
20-23:33 Thine eyes
shall behold strange women, and thine heart
shall utter perverse things.
20-24:12 If thou
sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that
pondereth the heart consider it? and
he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he
know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?
21-1:14 I have seen
all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold,
all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
21-2:1 I said
in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy
pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity.
21-2:11 Then I
looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had
laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
21-2:12 And I
turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and
folly: for what can the man do that cometh after the king? even that which hath been already done.
21-4:1 So I
returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side
of their oppressors there was power;
but they had no comforter.
21-5:18 Behold that which
I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to
enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of
his life, which God giveth him: for it is
his portion.
21-7:27 Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher, counting one by one, to find out the
account:
21-11:7 Truly the
light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:
22-1:15 Behold, thou art
fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes.
22-1:16 Behold, thou art
fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.
22-2:8 The
voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping
upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.
22-2:9 My
beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold,
he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself
through the lattice.
22-3:7 Behold his bed, which is Solomon’s; threescore valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel.
22-3:11 Go forth,
O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon
with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals,
and in the day of the gladness of his heart.
22-4:1 Behold, thou art
fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.
23-3:1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away
from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread,
and the whole stay of water.
23-5:7 For the
vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the
house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for
judgment, but behold oppression; for
righteousness, but behold a cry.
23-5:26 And he
will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from
the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall
come with speed swiftly:
23-5:30 And in
that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and
sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.
23-7:14 Therefore
the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold,
a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
23-8:7 Now
therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon
them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up
over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
23-8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me
are for signs and for wonders in
Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
23-8:22 And they
shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble
and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they
shall be driven to darkness.
23-10:33 Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the
bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
23-12:2 Behold, God is my
salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
23-13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with
wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the
sinners thereof out of it.
23-13:17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which
shall not regard silver; and as for gold,
they shall not delight in it.
23-17:1 The
burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken
away from being a city, and it shall
be a ruinous heap.
23-17:14 And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not.
This is the portion of them that
spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
23-19:1 The
burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift
cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his
presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
23-20:6 And the
inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold,
such is our expectation, whither we
flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we
escape?
23-21:9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he
answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of
her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
23-22:13 And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing
sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we
shall die.
23-22:17 Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty
captivity, and will surely cover thee.
23-23:13 Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not,
till the Assyrian founded it for them
that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up
the palaces thereof; and he brought
it to ruin.
23-24:1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it
waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants
thereof.
23-26:10 Let favour
be shewed to the wicked, yet will he
not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and
will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
23-26:21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the
inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her
blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
23-28:2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of
mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
23-28:16 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion
for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
23-29:8 It shall
even be as when an hungry man dreameth,
and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul
is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold,
he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite:
so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
23-29:14 Therefore,
behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work
among this people, even a marvellous
work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
23-30:27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of
indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:
23-32:1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and
princes shall rule in judgment.
23-33:7 Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the
ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.
23-33:17 Thine eyes
shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold
the land that is very far off.
23-34:5 For my
sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it
shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.
23-35:4 Say to
them that are of a fearful heart, Be
strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with
vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save
you.
23-37:7 Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall
hear a rumour, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the
sword in his own land.
23-37:11 Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have
done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shalt thou be delivered?
23-37:36 Then the
angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred
and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were
all dead corpses.
23-38:5 Go, and
say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard
thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I
will add unto thy days fifteen years.
23-38:8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which
is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned
ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
23-38:11 I said, I
shall not see the LORD, even the
LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold
man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
23-38:17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou
hast in love to my soul delivered it from
the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
23-39:6 Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in
store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith
the LORD.
23-40:9 O Zion,
that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem,
that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the
cities of Judah, Behold your God!
23-40:10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is
with him, and his work before him.
23-40:15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the
balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a
very little thing.
23-40:26 Lift up
your eyes on high, and behold who hath created
these things, that bringeth out their
host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for
that he is strong in power; not one
faileth.
23-41:11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall
be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with
thee shall perish.
23-41:15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing
instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as
chaff.
23-41:23 Shew the
things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that
we may be dismayed, and behold it together.
23-41:24 Behold, ye are of
nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.
23-41:27 The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them:
and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.
23-41:29 Behold, they are
all vanity; their works are nothing:
their molten images are wind and
confusion.
23-42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put
my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
23-42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new
things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
23-43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring
forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
23-44:11 Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the
workmen, they are of men: let them
all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they
shall be ashamed together.
23-47:14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn
them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire
to sit before it.
23-48:7 They are
created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest
them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I
knew them.
23-48:10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I
have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
23-49:12 Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from
the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.
23-49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
23-49:18 Lift up
thine eyes round about, and behold: all these
gather themselves together, and come
to thee. As I live, saith the LORD,
thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them
on thee, as a bride doeth.
23-49:21 Then shalt
thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my
children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath
brought up these? Behold, I was left alone;
these, where had they been?
23-49:22 Thus saith
the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand
to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy
sons in their arms, and thy daughters
shall be carried upon their shoulders.
23-50:1 Thus saith
the LORD, Where is the bill of your
mother’s divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves,
and for your transgressions is your mother put away.
23-50:2 Wherefore, when I
came, was there no man? when I called, was there none
to answer? Is my hand shortened
at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the
rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
23-50:9 Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the
moth shall eat them up.
23-50:11 Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in
the light of your fire, and in the sparks that
ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in
sorrow.
23-51:22 Thus saith
thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth
the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken
out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even
the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
23-52:6 Therefore
my people shall know my name: therefore they
shall know in that day that I am he
that doth speak: behold, it is I.
23-52:13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be
exalted and extolled, and be very high.
23-54:11 O thou
afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not
comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with
fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
23-54:15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather
together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
23-54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the
coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I
have created the waster to destroy.
23-55:4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
23-55:5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God,
and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
23-56:3 Neither
let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak,
saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the
eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
23-58:3 Wherefore
have we fasted, say they, and thou
seest not? wherefore have we
afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold,
in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
23-58:4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite
with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
23-59:1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot
save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
23-59:9 Therefore
is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light,
but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
23-60:2 For, behold, the darkness
shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall
arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
23-62:11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the
world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold,
thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
23-63:15 Look down
from heaven, and behold from the habitation of
thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy
zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me?
are they restrained?
23-64:5 Thou
meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold,
thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be
saved.
23-64:9 Be not wroth
very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold,
see, we beseech thee, we are all thy
people.
23-65:1 I am
sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me,
unto a nation that was not called by
my name.
23-65:6 Behold, it is written
before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into
their bosom,
23-65:13 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants
shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my
servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold,
my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
23-65:14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but
ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
23-65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the
former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
23-65:18 But be ye
glad and rejoice for ever in that which
I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a
rejoicing, and her people a joy.
23-66:12 For thus
saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to
her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then
shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her
sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
23-66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his
chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with
flames of fire.
24-1:6 Then
said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak:
for I am a child.
24-1:9 Then the
LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
24-1:18 For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and
an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of
Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against
the people of the land.
24-2:35 Yet thou
sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, I
have not sinned.
24-3:5 Will he
reserve his anger for ever? will he
keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou
couldest.
24-3:22 Return,
ye backsliding children, and I will
heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto
thee; for thou art the LORD our God.
24-4:13 Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are
swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.
24-4:16 Make ye
mention to the nations; behold, publish against
Jerusalem, that watchers come from a
far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.
24-5:14 Wherefore
thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and
this people wood, and it shall devour them.
24-6:10 To whom
shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold,
their ear is uncircumcised, and they
cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is
unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
24-6:19 Hear, O
earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this
people, even the fruit of their
thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but
rejected it.
24-6:21 Therefore
thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay
stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall
fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
24-6:22 Thus
saith the LORD, Behold, a people cometh from the
north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.
24-7:8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
24-7:11 Is this
house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.
24-7:20 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my
fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon
the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn,
and shall not be quenched.
24-7:32 Therefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it
shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the
valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
24-8:15 We looked
for peace, but no good came; and for
a time of health, and behold trouble!
24-8:17 For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you,
which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD.
24-8:19 Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my
people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not
her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
24-9:7 Therefore
thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will
melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?
24-9:15 Therefore
thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold,
I will feed them, even this people,
with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.
24-9:25 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will
punish all them which are circumcised
with the uncircumcised;
24-10:18 For thus
saith the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the
inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may
find it so.
24-10:22 Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great
commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.
24-11:11 Therefore
thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil
upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry
unto me, I will not hearken unto them.
24-11:22 Therefore
thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will
punish them: the young men shall die by the
sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine:
24-12:14 Thus saith the LORD against all mine evil neighbours,
that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to
inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their
land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.
24-13:7 Then I went
to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold,
the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.
24-13:13 Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the
LORD, Behold, I will fill all the
inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
24-13:20 Lift up
your eyes, and behold them that come from the
north: where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful
flock?
24-14:13 Then said
I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto
them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give
you assured peace in this place.
24-14:18 If I go
forth into the field, then behold the slain with
the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold
them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about
into a land that they know not.
24-14:19 Hast thou
utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul loathed Zion? why hast thou smitten us,
and there is no healing for us? we
looked for peace, and there is no
good; and for the time of healing, and behold
trouble!
24-16:9 For thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold,
I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the
voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the
voice of the bride.
24-16:12 And ye
have done worse than your fathers; for, behold,
ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not
hearken unto me:
24-16:14 Therefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it
shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel
out of the land of Egypt;
24-16:16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD,
and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they
shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes
of the rocks.
24-16:21 Therefore,
behold, I will this once cause them to know, I
will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my
name is The LORD.
24-17:15 Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the LORD? let it come now.
24-18:3 Then I
went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he
wrought a work on the wheels.
24-18:6 O house
of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are
ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
24-18:11 Now therefore
go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil
against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his
evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
24-19:3 And say,
Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem;
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold,
I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall
tingle.
24-19:6 Therefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this
place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but
The valley of slaughter.
24-19:15 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will
bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced
against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my
words.
24-20:4 For thus
saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a
terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of
their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the
hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and
shall slay them with the sword.
24-21:4 Thus
saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will
turn back the weapons of war that are in
your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you
without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.
24-21:8 And unto
this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold,
I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.
24-21:13 Behold, I am against
thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock
of the plain, saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who
shall enter into our habitations?
24-23:2 Therefore
thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye
have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings,
saith the LORD.
24-23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will
raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and
shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
24-23:7 Therefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they
shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out
of the land of Egypt;
24-23:15 Therefore
thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold,
I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from
the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.
24-23:19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury,
even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the
wicked.
24-23:30 Therefore,
behold, I am
against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from
his neighbour.
24-23:31 Behold, I am against
the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.
24-23:32 Behold, I am against
them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my
people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor
commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the
LORD.
24-23:39 Therefore,
behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and
I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:
24-24:1 The LORD
shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD,
after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the
son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters
and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
24-25:9 Behold, I will send and take all the families of the
north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and
will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and
against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make
them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.
24-25:32 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth
from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts
of the earth.
24-26:14 As for me,
behold, I am
in your hand: do with me as seemeth good and meet unto you.
24-27:16 Also I
spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD;
Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD’S house shall now
shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
24-28:16 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee
from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast
taught rebellion against the LORD.
24-29:17 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them
the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs,
that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
24-29:21 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of
Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of
Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;
24-29:32 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish
Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among
this people; neither shall he behold the good
that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion
against the LORD.
24-30:18 Thus saith
the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the
captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city
shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the
manner thereof.
24-30:23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with
fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the
wicked.
24-31:8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and
gather them from the coasts of the earth, and
with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth
with child together: a great company shall return thither.
24-31:27 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow
the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the
seed of beast.
24-31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will
make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
24-31:38 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the city
shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the
corner.
24-32:3 For
Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy,
and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will
give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;
24-32:4 And
Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but
shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak
with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold
his eyes;
24-32:7 Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall
come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.
24-32:17 Ah Lord
GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the
earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
24-32:24 Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take
it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against
it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what
thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold,
thou seest it.
24-32:27 Behold, I am the
LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
24-32:28 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this
city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king
of Babylon, and he shall take it:
24-32:37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries,
whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath;
and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell
safely:
24-33:6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will
cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
24-33:14 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will
perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to
the house of Judah.
24-34:2 Thus
saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and
tell him, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will
give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:
24-34:3 And thou
shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely be taken, and delivered into
his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes
of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with thee mouth to mouth, and thou
shalt go to Babylon.
24-34:17 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty,
every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD,
to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be
removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
24-34:22 Behold, I will command, saith the LORD, and cause them
to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it
with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an
inhabitant.
24-35:17 Therefore
thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold,
I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil
that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they
have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.
24-37:7 Thus
saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say to the king of Judah, that
sent you unto me to enquire of me; Behold,
Pharaoh’s army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into
their own land.
24-38:5 Then
Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he is in your hand: for the king is not he that can do any thing
against you.
24-38:22 And, behold, all the women that are left in the king of
Judah’s house shall be brought forth
to the king of Babylon’s princes, and those women
shall say, Thy friends have set thee on, and have prevailed against thee:
thy feet are sunk in the mire, and they
are turned away back.
24-39:16 Go and
speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the
God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words
upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee.
24-40:4 And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good
unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee:
but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to
go, thither go.
24-40:10 As for me,
behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve the
Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits,
and oil, and put them in your
vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.
24-42:2 And said
unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted
before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold
us:)
24-42:4 Then
Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the
LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall
answer you, I will declare it unto
you; I will keep nothing back from you.
24-43:10 And say
unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king
of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have
hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.
24-44:2 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have
brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,
24-44:11 Therefore
thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold,
I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.
24-44:26 Therefore
hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD,
that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the
land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.
24-44:27 Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for
good: and all the men of Judah that are in
the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there
be an end of them.
24-44:30 Thus saith
the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaohhophra king
of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his
life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of
Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.
24-45:4 Thus
shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold,
that which I have built will I break
down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.
24-45:5 And
seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them
not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all
flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all
places whither thou goest.
24-46:25 The LORD
of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I
will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and
their kings; even Pharaoh, and all them
that trust in him:
24-46:27 But fear
not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed
from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at
ease, and none shall make him afraid.
24-47:2 Thus
saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of
the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and
all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall
cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
24-48:12 Therefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I
will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty
his vessels, and break their bottles.
24-48:40 For thus
saith the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an
eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.
24-49:2 Therefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I
will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall
be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall
Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.
24-49:5 Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord
GOD of hosts, from all those that be about thee; and ye shall be driven out
every man right forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth.
24-49:12 For thus
saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly
drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished?
thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it.
24-49:19 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling
of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him
run away from her: and who is a
chosen man, that I may appoint over
her? for who is like me? and who will
appoint me the time? and who is that
shepherd that will stand before me?
24-49:22 Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and
spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men
of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
24-49:35 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow
of Elam, the chief of their might.
24-50:12 Your
mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a
desert.
24-50:18 Therefore
thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold,
I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of
Assyria.
24-50:31 Behold, I am against
thee, O thou most proud, saith the
Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.
24-50:41 Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a
great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
24-50:44 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling
of Jordan unto the habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run
away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for
who is like me? and who will appoint
me the time? and who is that shepherd
that will stand before me?
24-51:1 Thus
saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against
Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against
me, a destroying wind;
24-51:25 Behold, I am against
thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth:
and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks,
and will make thee a burnt mountain.
24-51:36 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will plead thy
cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her
springs dry.
24-51:47 Therefore,
behold, the days come, that I will do judgment
upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and
all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.
24-51:52 Wherefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I
will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded
shall groan.
25-1:9 Her
filthiness is in her skirts; she
remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no
comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the
enemy hath magnified himself.
25-1:12 Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass
by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like
unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.
25-1:18 The LORD
is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: hear, I pray you,
all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and
my young men are gone into captivity.
25-1:20 Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within
me; for I have grievously rebelled: abroad the sword bereaveth, at home there is as death.
25-2:20 Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done
this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and
children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the
sanctuary of the Lord?
25-3:50 Till the
LORD look down, and behold from heaven.
25-3:63 Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their musick.
25-5:1 Remember,
O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold
our reproach.
26-1:4 And I
looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the
north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst
thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
26-1:15 Now as I
beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel
upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
26-2:9 And when
I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
26-3:8 Behold, I have made thy face strong against their
faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.
26-3:23 Then I
arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold,
the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of
Chebar: and I fell on my face.
26-3:25 But thou,
O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon
thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:
26-4:8 And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not
turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
26-4:14 Then said
I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been
polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which
dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into
my mouth.
26-4:16 Moreover
he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will
break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and
with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
26-5:8 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute
judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.
26-6:3 And say,
Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD
to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I,
will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.
26-7:5 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold,
is come.
26-7:6 An end
is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold,
it is come.
26-7:10 Behold the day, behold,
it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath
budded.
26-8:4 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that
I saw in the plain.
26-8:5 Then
said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north.
So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold
northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
26-8:7 And he
brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.
26-8:8 Then
said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the
wall, behold a door.
26-8:9 And he
said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked
abominations that they do here.
26-8:10 So I went
in and saw; and behold every form of creeping
things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel,
pourtrayed upon the wall round about.
26-8:14 Then he
brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
26-8:16 And he
brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between
the porch and the altar, were about
five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their
faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
26-9:2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate,
which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and
one man among them was clothed with
linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside
the brasen altar.
26-9:11 And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported
the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me.
26-10:1 Then I
looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was
above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire
stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
26-10:9 And when
I looked, behold the four wheels by the
cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and
the appearance of the wheels was as
the colour of a beryl stone.
26-11:1 Moreover
the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the LORD’S house,
which looketh eastward: and behold at the door
of the gate five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur,
and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.
26-12:27 Son of
man, behold, they
of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and
he prophesieth of the times that are far
off.
26-13:8 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies,
therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.
26-13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against
your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your
arms, and will let the souls go, even the
souls that ye hunt to make them fly.
26-14:22 Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be
brought forth, both sons and
daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto
you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted
concerning the evil that I have brought upon
Jerusalem, even concerning all that I
have brought upon it.
26-15:4 Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire
devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?
26-15:5 Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work:
how much less shall it be meet yet for any
work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?
26-16:8 Now when
I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold,
thy time was the time of love; and I spread
my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and
entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
26-16:27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over
thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food,
and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of
the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
26-16:37 Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with
whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them
that thou hast loved, with all them that
thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will
discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
26-16:43 Because
thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all
these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou
shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.
26-16:44 Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.
26-16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom,
pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her
daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
26-17:7 There was
also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and
shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of
her plantation.
26-17:10 Yea, behold, being planted,
shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it?
it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.
26-17:12 Say now to
the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon is come to Jerusalem, and
hath taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to
Babylon;
26-18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father,
so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
26-20:47 And say to
the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall
devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall
not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned
therein.
26-21:3 And say
to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold,
I am against thee, and will draw
forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the
wicked.
26-21:7 And it
shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt
answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all
hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be
weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith
the Lord GOD.
26-22:6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee
to their power to shed blood.
26-22:13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest
gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of
thee.
26-22:19 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of
Jerusalem.
26-23:22 Therefore,
O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I
will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I
will bring them against thee on every side;
26-23:28 For thus
saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver thee
into the hand of them whom thou
hatest, into the hand of them from
whom thy mind is alienated:
26-24:16 Son of
man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of
thine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall
thy tears run down.
26-24:21 Speak unto
the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold,
I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of
your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters
whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.
26-25:4 Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of
the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make
their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy
milk.
26-25:7 Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon
thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off
from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will
destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am
the LORD.
26-25:8 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold,
the house of Judah is like unto all
the heathen;
26-25:9 Therefore,
behold, I will open the side of Moab from the
cities, from his cities which are on
his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethjeshimoth, Baalmeon, and
Kiriathaim,
26-25:16 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch
out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and
destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
26-26:3 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause
many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.
26-26:7 For thus
saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon
Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with
horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.
26-28:3 Behold, thou art
wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:
26-28:7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee,
the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the
beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.
26-28:17 Thine
heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by
reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee
before kings, that they may behold thee.
26-28:18 Thou hast
defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity
of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it
shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight
of all them that behold thee.
26-28:22 And say,
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified
in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall
be sanctified in her.
26-29:3 Speak,
and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt,
the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My
river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
26-29:8 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a
sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.
26-29:10 Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land
of Egypt utterly waste and desolate,
from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.
26-29:19 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the
land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her
multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for
his army.
26-30:22 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and
will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause
the sword to fall out of his hand.
26-31:3 Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing
shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.
26-34:10 Thus saith
the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their
hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the
shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their
mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
26-34:11 For thus
saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and
seek them out.
26-34:17 And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the
Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and
cattle, between the rams and the he goats.
26-34:20 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat
cattle and between the lean cattle.
26-35:3 And say
unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O
mount Seir, I am against thee, and I
will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
26-36:6 Prophesy
therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the
hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury,
because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:
26-36:9 For, behold, I am for
you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:
26-37:2 And
caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold,
there were very many in the open
valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
26-37:5 Thus
saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I
will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
26-37:7 So I
prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to
his bone.
26-37:11 Then he
said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is
lost: we are cut off for our parts.
26-37:12 Therefore
prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold,
O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your
graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
26-37:19 Say unto
them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will
take the stick of Joseph, which is in
the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them
with him, even with the stick of
Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
26-37:21 And say
unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I
will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone,
and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
26-38:3 And say, Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince
of Meshech and Tubal:
26-39:1 Therefore,
thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against
thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
26-39:8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord
GOD; this is the day whereof I have
spoken.
26-40:3 And he
brought me thither, and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a
line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.
26-40:4 And the
man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine
eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew
thee; for to the intent that I might shew them
unto thee art thou brought
hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.
26-40:5 And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about,
and in the man’s hand a measuring reed of six cubits long by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth
of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.
26-40:24 After that
he brought me toward the south, and behold a
gate toward the south: and he measured the posts thereof and the arches thereof
according to these measures.
26-43:2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the
way of the east: and his voice was like
a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
26-43:5 So the
spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.
26-43:12 This is the law of the house; Upon the top of
the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.
26-44:4 Then
brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the
LORD: and I fell upon my face.
26-44:5 And the
LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold
with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning
all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all the laws thereof; and mark
well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary.
26-46:19 After he
brought me through the entry, which was at
the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which looked
toward the north: and, behold, there was a place on the two sides westward.
26-46:21 Then he
brought me forth into the utter court, and caused me to pass by the four
corners of the court; and, behold, in every
corner of the court there was a
court.
26-47:1 Afterward
he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold,
waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the
forefront of the house stood toward the
east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at
the south side of the altar.
26-47:2 Then
brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way
without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
26-47:7 Now when
I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river
were very many trees on the one side
and on the other.
27-2:31 Thou, O
king, sawest, and behold a great image. This
great image, whose brightness was excellent,
stood before thee; and the form thereof was
terrible.
27-4:10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed;
I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the
earth, and the height thereof was great.
27-4:13 I saw in
the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold,
a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;
27-7:2 Daniel
spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold,
the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
27-7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it
raised up itself on one side, and it had three
ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it,
Arise, devour much flesh.
27-7:7 After
this I saw in the night visions, and behold a
fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great
iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the
feet of it: and it was diverse from
all the beasts that were before it;
and it had ten horns.
27-7:8 I
considered the horns, and, behold, there came up
among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns
plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this
horn were eyes like the eyes of man,
and a mouth speaking great things.
27-7:13 I saw in
the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the
clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near
before him.
27-8:3 Then I
lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there
stood before the river a ram which had two
horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
27-8:5 And as I
was considering, behold, an he goat came from
the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the
goat had a notable horn between his
eyes.
27-8:15 And it
came to pass, when I, even I Daniel,
had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold,
there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
27-8:19 And he
said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall
be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
27-9:18 O my God,
incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold
our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not
present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy
great mercies.
27-10:5 Then I
lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a
certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were
girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
27-10:10 And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees
and upon the palms of my hands.
27-10:16 And, behold, one like
the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and
spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my
sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
27-11:2 And now
will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall
stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through
his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.
27-12:5 Then I
Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other
two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side
of the bank of the river.
28-2:6 Therefore,
behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and
make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.
28-2:14 Therefore,
behold, I will allure her, and bring her into
the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
29-2:19 Yea, the
LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold,
I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith:
and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
29-3:1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall
bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
29-3:7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye
have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:
30-2:13 Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.
30-3:9 Publish
in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say,
Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold
the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof.
30-6:11 For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the
great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
30-6:14 But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house
of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the
entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
30-7:1 Thus
hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me; and, behold, he
formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth;
and, lo, it was the latter growth
after the king’s mowings.
30-7:4 Thus
hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold,
the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did
eat up a part.
30-7:7 Thus he
shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a
wall made by a plumbline, with a
plumbline in his hand.
30-7:8 And the
LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said
the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the
midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
30-8:1 Thus
hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and behold a
basket of summer fruit.
30-8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will
send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but
of hearing the words of the LORD:
30-9:8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the
face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,
saith the LORD.
30-9:13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the
plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth
seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
31-1:2 Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou
art greatly despised.
33-1:3 For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and
will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.
33-2:3 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family
do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall
ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.
33-7:9 I will
bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he
plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the
light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
33-7:10 Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said
unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold
her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
34-1:15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that
bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform
thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut
off.
34-2:13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the
LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword
shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more
be heard.
34-3:5 Behold, I am against
thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face,
and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.
34-3:13 Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall
be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.
35-1:3 Why dost
thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to
behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
35-1:5 Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder
marvellously: for I will work a work
in your days, which ye will not
believe, though it be told you.
35-1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore
lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
35-2:4 Behold, his soul which
is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
35-2:13 Behold, is it not
of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the
people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
35-2:19 Woe unto
him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid
over with gold and silver, and there is no
breath at all in the midst of it.
36-3:19 Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict
thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and
I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to
shame.
38-1:8 I saw by
night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse,
and he stood among the myrtle trees that were
in the bottom; and behind him were
there red horses, speckled, and white.
38-1:11 And they
answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We
have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold,
all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.
38-1:18 Then
lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four
horns.
38-2:1 I lifted
up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man
with a measuring line in his hand.
38-2:3 And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and
another angel went out to meet him,
38-2:9 For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they
shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts
hath sent me.
38-3:4 And he
answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he
said, Behold, I have caused thine
iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
38-3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy
fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I
will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
38-3:9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon
one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the
LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
38-4:2 And said
unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps
thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
38-5:1 Then I
turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold
a flying roll.
38-5:7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this
is a woman that sitteth in the midst
of the ephah.
38-5:9 Then
lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold,
there came out two women, and the wind was
in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they
lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
38-6:1 And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked,
and, behold, there came four chariots out
from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
38-6:8 Then
cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold,
these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north
country.
38-6:12 And speak
unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall
build the temple of the LORD:
38-8:7 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my
people from the east country, and from the west country;
38-9:4 Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite
her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
38-9:9 Rejoice
greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly,
and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
38-12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round
about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
38-14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil
shall be divided in the midst of thee.
39-1:13 Ye said
also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and
the sick; thus ye brought an
offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.
39-2:3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon
your faces, even the dung of your
solemn feasts; and one shall take you
away with it.
39-3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and
the Lord, whom ye seek, shall
suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye
delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the
LORD of hosts.
39-4:1 For, behold, the
day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all
that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall
leave them neither root nor branch.
39-4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the
coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
40-1:20 But while
he thought on these things, behold, the angel of
the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear
not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of
the Holy Ghost.
40-1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring
forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is,
God with us.
40-2:1 Now when
Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to
Jerusalem,
40-2:13 And when
they were departed, behold, the angel of the
Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child
and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word:
for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
40-2:19 But when
Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord
appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
40-4:11 Then the
devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and
ministered unto him.
40-6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither
do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are
ye not much better than they?
40-7:4 Or how
wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is
in thine own eye?
40-8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying,
Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
40-8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea,
insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
40-8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do
with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before
the time?
40-8:32 And he
said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of
swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran
violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
40-8:34 And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and
when they saw him, they besought him that
he would depart out of their coasts.
40-9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy,
lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy;
Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
40-9:3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves,
This man blasphemeth.
40-9:10 And it
came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold,
many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
40-9:18 While he
spake these things unto them, behold, there came
a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come
and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
40-9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of
blood twelve years, came behind him, and
touched the hem of his garment:
40-9:32 As they
went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man
possessed with a devil.
40-10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of
wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
40-11:8 But what
went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold,
they that wear soft clothing are in
kings’ houses.
40-11:10 For this
is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which
shall prepare thy way before thee.
40-11:19 The Son of
man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold
a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But
wisdom is justified of her children.
40-12:2 But when
the Pharisees saw it, they said unto
him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not
lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
40-12:10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal
on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
40-12:18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in
whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew
judgment to the Gentiles.
40-12:41 The men of
Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it:
because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold,
a greater than Jonas is here.
40-12:42 The queen
of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall
condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the
wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than
Solomon is here.
40-12:46 While he
yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood
without, desiring to speak with him.
40-12:47 Then one
said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy
brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
40-12:49 And he stretched
forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold
my mother and my brethren!
40-13:3 And he
spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold,
a sower went forth to sow;
40-15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts,
and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
40-17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias
talking with him.
40-17:5 While he
yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed
them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which
said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
40-18:10 Take heed
that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in
heaven their angels do always behold the face of
my Father which is in heaven.
40-19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what
good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
40-19:27 Then
answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we
have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
40-20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man
shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall
condemn him to death,
40-20:30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when
they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
40-21:5 Tell ye
the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh
unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
40-22:4 Again, he
sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are
ready: come unto the marriage.
40-23:34 Wherefore,
behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men,
and scribes: and some of them ye
shall kill and crucify; and some of
them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
40-23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
40-24:25 Behold, I have told you before.
40-24:26 Wherefore
if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the
desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
40-25:6 And at
midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the
bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
40-25:20 And so he
that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying,
Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold,
I have gained beside them five talents more.
40-25:22 He also
that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two
talents: behold, I have gained two other talents
beside them.
40-26:45 Then
cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold,
the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
40-26:46 Rise, let
us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth
betray me.
40-26:51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched
out his hand, and drew his sword, and
struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear.
40-26:65 Then the
high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further
need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have
heard his blasphemy.
40-27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from
the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
40-28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of
the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the
door, and sat upon it.
40-28:7 And go
quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall
ye see him: lo, I have told you.
40-28:9 And as
they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus
met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and
worshipped him.
40-28:11 Now when
they were going, behold, some of the watch came
into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
41-1:2 As it is
written in the prophets, Behold, I send my
messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
41-2:24 And the
Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on
the sabbath day that which is not lawful?
41-3:32 And the
multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold,
thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
41-3:34 And he
looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
41-4:3 Hearken;
Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
41-5:22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the
synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
41-10:33 Saying, Behold,
we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief
priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall
deliver him to the Gentiles:
41-11:21 And Peter
calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold,
the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
41-13:23 But take
ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
41-14:41 And he
cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is
come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into
the hands of sinners.
41-15:4 And
Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.
41-15:35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold,
he calleth Elias.
41-16:6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek
Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
42-1:20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak,
until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my
words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
42-1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring
forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
42-1:36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived
a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called
barren.
42-1:38 And Mary
said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it
unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
42-1:48 For he
hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold,
from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
42-2:10 And the
angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I
bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
42-2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the
consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
42-2:34 And
Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold,
this child is set for the fall and
rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
42-2:48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son,
why hast thou thus dealt with
us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee
sorrowing.
42-5:12 And it
came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold
a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst
make me clean.
42-5:18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken
with a palsy: and they sought means to
bring him in, and to lay him before
him.
42-6:23 Rejoice
ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold,
your reward is great in heaven: for
in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
42-7:12 Now when
he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold,
there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a
widow: and much people of the city was with her.
42-7:25 But what
went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold,
they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’
courts.
42-7:27 This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which
shall prepare thy way before thee.
42-7:34 The Son of
man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold
a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
42-7:37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when
she knew that Jesus sat at meat in
the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
42-8:41 And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a
ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that
he would come into his house:
42-9:30 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were
Moses and Elias:
42-9:38 And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying,
Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
42-10:3 Go your
ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among
wolves.
42-10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and
scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means
hurt you.
42-10:25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him,
saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
42-11:31 The queen
of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and
condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the
wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than
Solomon is here.
42-11:32 The men of
Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn
it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold,
a greater than Jonas is here.
42-11:41 But rather
give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold,
all things are clean unto you.
42-13:7 Then said
he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold,
these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it
down; why cumbereth it the ground?
42-13:11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of
infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
42-13:30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there
are first which shall be last.
42-13:32 And he
said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold,
I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
42-13:35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and
verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
42-14:2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had
the dropsy.
42-14:29 Lest
haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold
it begin to mock him,
42-17:21 Neither
shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold,
the kingdom of God is within you.
42-18:31 Then he
took unto him the twelve, and said
unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and
all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be
accomplished.
42-19:2 And, behold, there
was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he
was rich.
42-19:8 And
Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold,
Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing
from any man by false accusation, I restore him
fourfold.
42-19:20 And
another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept
laid up in a napkin:
42-21:6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall
not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
42-21:29 And he
spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree,
and all the trees;
42-22:10 And he
said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into
the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him
into the house where he entereth in.
42-22:21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.
42-22:31 And the
Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath
desired to have you, that he may sift
you as wheat:
42-22:38 And they
said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
42-22:47 And while
he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that
was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus
to kiss him.
42-23:14 Said unto
them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and,
behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those
things whereof ye accuse him:
42-23:29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall
say, Blessed are the barren, and the
wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.
42-23:50 And, behold, there
was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and
he was a good man, and a just:
42-24:4 And it
came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold,
two men stood by them in shining garments:
42-24:13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village
called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about
threescore furlongs.
42-24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself:
handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
42-24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but
tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
43-1:29 The next
day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold
the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
43-1:36 And
looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold
the Lamb of God!
43-1:47 Jesus saw
Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold
an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
43-3:26 And they
came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to
whom thou barest witness, behold, the same
baptizeth, and all men come to him.
43-4:35 Say not
ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh
harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your
eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
43-5:14 Afterward
Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold,
thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
43-11:3 Therefore
his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold,
he whom thou lovest is sick.
43-11:36 Then said
the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
43-12:15 Fear not,
daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh,
sitting on an ass’s colt.
43-12:19 The
Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
43-16:32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye
shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I
am not alone, because the Father is with me.
43-17:24 Father, I
will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they
may behold my glory, which thou hast given me:
for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
43-18:21 Why askest
thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.
43-19:4 Pilate
therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold,
I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
43-19:5 Then came
Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!
43-19:14 And it was
the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto
the Jews, Behold your King!
43-19:26 When Jesus
therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith
unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
43-19:27 Then saith
he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from
that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
43-20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger,
and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
44-1:10 And while
they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold,
two men stood by them in white apparel;
44-2:7 And they
were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold,
are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
44-4:29 And now,
Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto
thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
44-5:9 Then
Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit
of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have
buried thy husband are at the door,
and shall carry thee out.
44-5:25 Then came
one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom
ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
44-5:28 Saying,
Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine,
and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.
44-7:31 When
Moses saw it, he wondered at the
sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,
44-7:32 Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.
44-7:56 And said,
Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of
man standing on the right hand of God.
44-8:27 And he
arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia,
an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the
charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
44-9:10 And there
was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in
a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
44-9:11 And the
Lord said unto him, Arise, and go
into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for
one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
44-10:17 Now while
Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had
made enquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate,
44-10:19 While
Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold,
three men seek thee.
44-10:21 Then Peter
went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
44-10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting
until this hour; and at the ninth hour
I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before
me in bright clothing,
44-11:11 And, behold, immediately there were three men already come
unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.
44-12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and
he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And
his chains fell off from his hands.
44-13:11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a
season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went
about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
44-13:25 And as
John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold,
there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his
feet I am not worthy to loose.
44-13:41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I
work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a
man declare it unto you.
44-16:1 Then came
he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain
disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a
Jewess, and believed; but his father was a
Greek:
44-20:22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not
knowing the things that shall befall me there:
44-20:25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone
preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
45-2:17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,
45-9:33 As it is
written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone
and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
45-11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on
them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt
be cut off.
46-10:18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat
of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
46-15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We
shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
47-3:7 But if
the ministration of death, written and engraven
in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his
countenance; which glory was to be
done away:
47-5:17 Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new.
47-6:2 (For he
saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I
succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
47-6:9 As
unknown, and yet well known; as
dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and
not killed;
47-7:11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a
godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear,
yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
47-12:14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and
I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the
children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
48-1:20 Now the
things which I write unto you, behold, before
God, I lie not.
48-5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be
circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
58-2:13 And
again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold
I and the children which God hath given me.
58-8:8 For finding
fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days
come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah:
59-3:3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they
may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
59-3:4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they
turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
59-3:5 Even so
the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
59-5:4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down
your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them
which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
59-5:7 Be
patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit
of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and
latter rain.
59-5:9 Grudge
not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
59-5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have
heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord
is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
60-2:6 Wherefore
also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I
lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him
shall not be confounded.
60-2:12 Having
your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against
you as evildoers, they may by your good
works, which they shall behold, glorify God in
the day of visitation.
60-3:2 While
they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
62-3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed
upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth
us not, because it knew him not.
65-1:14 And Enoch
also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his
saints,
66-1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see
him, and they also which pierced him:
and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
66-1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the
keys of hell and of death.
66-2:10 Fear none
of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold,
the devil shall cast some of you into
prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou
faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
66-2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit
adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
66-3:8 I know
thy works: behold, I have set before thee an
open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast
kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
66-3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan,
which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold,
I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have
loved thee.
66-3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou
hast, that no man take thy crown.
66-3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man
hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him,
and he with me.
66-4:1 After
this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first
voice which I heard was as it were of
a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee
things which must be hereafter.
66-4:2 And
immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a
throne was set in heaven, and one sat
on the throne.
66-5:5 And one
of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold,
the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the
book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
66-6:2 And I
saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat
on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering,
and to conquer.
66-6:8 And I
looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that
sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them
over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and
with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
66-9:12 One woe
is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
66-11:14 The second
woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
66-12:3 And there
appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a
great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his
heads.
66-14:14 And I
looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the
cloud one sat like unto the Son of
man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
66-15:5 And after
that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the
tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
66-16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his
garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
66-17:8 The beast
that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit,
and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose
names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world,
when they behold the beast that was, and is not,
and yet is.
66-19:11 And I saw
heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he
that sat upon him was called Faithful
and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
66-21:3 And I
heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold,
the tabernacle of God is with men,
and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself
shall be with them, and be their God.
66-21:5 And he
that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make
all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and
faithful.
66-22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
66-22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according
as his work shall be.
