01-GENESIS
01-13:3 And he
went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his
tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel
and Hai;
01-26:8 And it
came to pass, when he had been there a long
time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw,
and, behold, Isaac was sporting with
Rebekah his wife.
01-31:5 And said
unto them, I see your father’s countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me.
01-31:38 This
twenty years have I been with
thee; thy ewes and thy she goats have not cast their young, and the rams of thy
flock have I not eaten.
01-31:41 Thus have
I been twenty years in thy house; I served thee
fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy cattle: and thou
hast changed my wages ten times.
01-31:42 Except the
God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now
empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.
01-38:26 And Judah
acknowledged them, and said, She hath
been more righteous than I; because that I gave
her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.
01-45:6 For these
two years hath the famine been in
the land: and yet there are five
years, in the which there shall neither
be earing nor harvest.
01-46:32 And the
men are shepherds, for their trade
hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought
their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
01-46:34 That ye
shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about
cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for
every shepherd is an abomination unto
the Egyptians.
01-47:9 And Jacob
said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the
years of my life been, and have not attained
unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their
pilgrimage.
02-2:22 And she
bare him a son, and he called his
name Gershom: for he said, I have been a
stranger in a strange land.
02-9:18 Behold,
to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as
hath not been in Egypt since the foundation
thereof even until now.
02-14:12 Is not this the word that we did tell
thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better
for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
02-18:3 And her
two sons; of which the name of the one was
Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien
in a strange land:
02-21:29 But if the
ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him
in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his
owner also shall be put to death.
02-34:10 And he
said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such
as have not been done in all the earth, nor in
any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
03-10:19 And Aaron
said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and
their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day,
should it have been accepted in the sight of the
LORD?
03-13:7 But if
the scab spread much abroad in the skin, after that he hath been seen of the priest for his cleansing, he shall be
seen of the priest again:
04-19:20 But the man
that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off
from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD:
the water of separation hath not been sprinkled
upon him; he is unclean.
05-2:7 For the
LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy
walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with
thee; thou hast lacked nothing.
05-4:32 For ask now
of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God
created man upon the earth, and ask from
the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such
thing as this great thing is, or
hath been heard like it?
05-9:7 Remember,
and forget not, how thou provokedst
the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst
depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.
05-9:24 Ye have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I
knew you.
05-15:18 It shall
not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath
been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years: and
the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.
05-21:3 And it
shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even
the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and
which hath not drawn in the yoke;
05-31:27 For I know
thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this
day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD;
and how much more after my death?
06-7:7 And
Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people
over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would
to God we had been content, and dwelt on the
other side Jordan!
06-9:4 They did
work wilily, and went and made as if they had been
ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses,
and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;
06-10:27 And it
came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and
cast them into the cave wherein they had been
hid, and laid great stones in the cave’s mouth, which remain until this very day.
06-23:9 For the
LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.
07-16:8 Then the lords
of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withs which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.
07-16:17 That he
told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon
mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother’s womb: if
I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be
like any other man.
08-2:11 And Boaz
answered and said unto her, It hath fully been
shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of
thine husband: and how thou hast left
thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a
people which thou knewest not heretofore.
09-1:13 Now
Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not
heard: therefore Eli thought she had been
drunken.
09-4:7 And the
Philistines were afraid, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they
said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such
a thing heretofore.
09-4:9 Be strong,
and quit yourselves like men, O ye Philistines, that ye be not servants unto
the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit
yourselves like men, and fight.
09-4:17 And the
messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath
been also a great slaughter among the people,
and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is
taken.
09-9:24 And the
cook took up the shoulder, and that which
was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! set it before thee, and eat:
for unto this time hath it been kept for thee
since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.
09-14:29 Then said
Jonathan, My father hath troubled the land: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have
been enlightened, because I tasted a little of
this honey.
09-14:30 How much
more, if haply the people had eaten freely to day of the spoil of their enemies
which they found? for had there not been now a
much greater slaughter among the Philistines?
09-14:38 And Saul
said, Draw ye near hither, all the chief of the people: and know and see
wherein this sin hath been this day.
09-15:21 But the
people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should
have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto
the LORD thy God in Gilgal.
09-18:19 But it
came to pass at the time when Merab Saul’s daughter should have been given to David, that she was given unto Adriel
the Meholathite to wife.
09-19:4 And Jonathan
spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king
sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against
thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good:
09-20:13 The LORD
do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father to do thee evil, then I will shew it
thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with
thee, as he hath been with my father.
09-21:5 And David
answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these
three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea,
though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
09-25:28 I pray
thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid: for the LORD will certainly make
my lord a sure house; because my lord fighteth the battles of the LORD, and
evil hath not been found in thee all thy days.
09-25:34 For in
very deed, as the LORD God of Israel
liveth, which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and
come to meet me, surely there had not been left
unto Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.
09-29:3 Then said
the princes of the Philistines, What do these
Hebrews here? And Achish said unto
the princes of the Philistines, Is not
this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have
found no fault in him since he fell unto
me unto this day?
09-29:6 Then Achish
called David, and said unto him, Surely, as
the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and
thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the
day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee
not.
09-29:8 And David
said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant
so long as I have been with thee unto this day,
that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?
10-1:21 Ye
mountains of Gilboa, let there be no
dew, neither let there be rain, upon
you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast
away, the shield of Saul, as though he
had not been
anointed with oil.
10-1:26 I am
distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing
the love of women.
10-12:8 And I
gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave
thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would
moreover have given unto thee such and such things.
10-13:20 And
Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing.
So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.
10-13:32 And
Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord
suppose that they have slain all the
young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of
Absalom this hath been determined from the day
that he forced his sister Tamar.
10-14:32 And
Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto thee, saying, Come hither, that I
may send thee to the king, to say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? it had been good
for me to have been
there still: now therefore let me see the king’s face; and if there be any iniquity in me, let him kill me.
10-15:34 But if
thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have
been thy father’s servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of
Ahithophel.
11-1:37 As the
LORD hath been with my lord the king, even so be
he with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king
David.
11-2:26 And unto
Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields;
for thou art worthy of death: but I
will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the
Lord GOD before David my father, and because thou hast been
afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.
11-14:8 And rent
the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments,
and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right
in mine eyes;
11-16:31 And it
came to pass, as if it had been a light thing
for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife
Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served
Baal, and worshipped him.
11-17:7 And it
came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
11-19:10 And he
said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God
of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down
thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my
life, to take it away.
11-19:14 And he said,
I have been very jealous for the LORD God of
hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down
thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my
life, to take it away.
12-4:13 And he
said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been
careful for us with all this care; what is
to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the
captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
12-20:12 At that time Berodachbaladan, the son of Baladan,
king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had
heard that Hezekiah had been sick.
13-17:8 And I
have been with thee whithersoever thou hast
walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee
a name like the name of the great men that are
in the earth.
13-28:3 But God
said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a
man of war, and hast shed blood.
13-29:25 And the
LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed
upon him such royal majesty as had
not been on any king before him in Israel.
14-1:12 Wisdom
and knowledge is granted unto thee;
and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings
have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after
thee have the like.
14-15:3 Now for a
long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching
priest, and without law.
14-23:9 Moreover
Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers,
and shields, that had been king David’s, which were in the house of God.
15-2:1 Now
these are the children of the
province that went up out of the captivity, of those which had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of
Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and came again unto Jerusalem and Judah,
every one unto his city;
15-4:18 The
letter which ye sent unto us hath been plainly
read before me.
15-4:19 And I
commanded, and search hath been made, and it is
found that this city of old time hath made insurrection against kings, and that rebellion and sedition have been made therein.
15-4:20 There
have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem,
which have ruled over all countries beyond
the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid unto them.
15-5:16 Then came
the same Sheshbazzar, and laid the
foundation of the house of God which is in
Jerusalem: and since that time even until now hath it been
in building, and yet it is not
finished.
15-8:35 Also the children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the captivity,
offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel,
ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering unto the LORD.
15-9:2 For they
have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the
holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.
15-9:4 Then
were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of
Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been
carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.
15-9:7 Since
the days of our fathers have we been in a
great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the
sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
15-9:8 And now
for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave
us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God
may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
15-10:6 Then Ezra
rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Johanan the
son of Eliashib: and when he came
thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the
transgression of them that had been carried
away.
15-10:8 And that
whosoever would not come within three days, according to the counsel of the
princes and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited, and himself
separated from the congregation of those that had been
carried away.
16-2:1 And it
came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad
in his presence.
16-5:15 But the
former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people,
and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even
their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear
of God.
16-7:6 These are the children of the province, that
went up out of the captivity, of those that had been
carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and
came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;
16-13:10 And I
perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been
given them: for the Levites and the
singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field.
17-2:6 Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity
which had been carried away with Jeconiah king
of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
17-2:12 Now when
every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the
women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh,
and six months with sweet odours, and with other
things for the purifying of the women;)
17-4:11 All the
king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that
whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court,
who is not called, there is one law
of his to put him to death, except
such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but
I have not been called to come in unto the king
these thirty days.
17-6:3 And the
king said, What honour and dignity hath been
done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto
him, There is nothing done for him.
17-7:4 For we
are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if
we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I
had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.
18-3:13 For now
should I have lain still and been quiet, I
should have slept: then had I been at rest,
18-3:16 Or as an
hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants
which never saw light.
18-10:19 I should
have been as though I had not been; I should have been
carried from the womb to the grave.
18-22:9 Thou hast
sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.
18-31:9 If mine
heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour’s
door;
18-31:27 And my
heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth
hath kissed my hand:
18-38:17 Have the
gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast
thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?
18-42:11 Then came
there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread
with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the
evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of
money, and every one an earring of gold.
19-25:6 Remember,
O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever
of old.
19-27:9 Hide not
thy face far from me; put not thy
servant away in anger: thou hast been my help;
leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
19-35:14 I behaved
myself as though he had been my friend or
brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.
19-37:25 I have been young, and now
am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging
bread.
19-42:3 My tears
have been my meat day and night, while they
continually say unto me, Where is thy
God?
19-50:8 I will
not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually
before me.
19-50:18 When thou
sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
19-59:16 But I will
sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou
hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my
trouble.
19-60:1 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered
us, thou hast been displeased; O turn
thyself to us again.
19-61:3 For thou
hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
19-63:7 Because
thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow
of thy wings will I rejoice.
19-69:22 Let their
table become a snare before them: and that
which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
19-71:6 By thee
have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he
that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
19-73:14 For all
the day long have I been plagued, and chastened
every morning.
19-85:1 LORD,
thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou
hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
19-89:38 But thou
hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth
with thine anointed.
19-90:1 LORD,
thou hast been our dwelling place in all
generations.
19-94:17 Unless the
LORD had been
my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
19-115:12 The LORD
hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel;
he will bless the house of Aaron.
19-119:54 Thy
statutes have been my songs in the house of my
pilgrimage.
19-119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
19-119:92 Unless thy
law had been
my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
19-124:1 If it had not been
the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
19-124:2 If it had not been
the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
19-143:3 For the enemy
hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath
made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been
long dead.
20-7:26 For she
hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.
21-1:9 The
thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under
the sun.
21-1:10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See,
this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
21-1:16 I
communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have
gotten more wisdom than all they that
have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart
had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.
21-2:12 And I
turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: for what can the man do that cometh after the king? even
that which hath been already done.
21-3:15 That
which hath been is now; and that which is to be
hath already been; and God requireth that which
is past.
21-4:3 Yea,
better is he than both they, which
hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil
work that is done under the sun.
21-4:16 There is no end of all the people, even of all that have been before them: they also that come after shall not
rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity
and vexation of spirit.
21-6:10 That
which hath been is named already, and it is
known that it is man: neither may he
contend with him that is mightier than he.
23-1:6 From the
sole of the foot even unto the head there
is no soundness in it; but wounds,
and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been
closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
23-1:9 Except
the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and
we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
23-5:4 What
could have been done more to my vineyard, that I
have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth
grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
23-17:10 Because
thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore
shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
23-23:16 Take an
harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been
forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
23-25:4 For thou
hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to
the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat,
when the blast of the terrible ones is as
a storm against the wall.
23-26:17 Like as a
woman with child, that draweth near
the time of her delivery, is in pain, and
crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in
thy sight, O LORD.
23-26:18 We have been with child, we have been
in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any
deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
23-30:24 The oxen
likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender,
which hath been winnowed with the shovel and
with the fan.

writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been
sick, and was recovered of his sickness:

time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a
present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been
sick, and was recovered.

not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been
told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the
earth?

time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman;

and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy
life.
23-43:22 But thou
hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been
weary of me, O Israel.
23-48:18 O that
thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of
the sea:
23-48:19 Thy seed
also had been as the sand, and the offspring of
thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
23-49:21 Then shalt
thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my
children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath
brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?

he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they
consider.

whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou
hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou
fearest me not?

thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no
man went through thee, I will make thee
an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

those things hath mine hand made, and
all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite
spirit, and trembleth at my word.
24-2:31 O
generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I been
a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are
lords; we will come no more unto thee?
24-3:2 Lift up
thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as
the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy
whoredoms and with thy wickedness.

the showers have been withholden, and there hath

forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.

unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou
saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst

prophets that have been before me and before

city hath been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that

of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six
years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not
unto me, neither inclined their ear.
24-42:18 For thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and
ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach;
and ye shall see this place no more.

Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the

we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink
offerings unto her, we have wanted all things,
and have been consumed by the sword and by
the famine.

his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel

hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have
caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have
forgotten their restingplace.
24-50:29 Call
together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it
round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work;
according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of
Israel.
24-51:5 For
Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God,
of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy
One of Israel.
24-51:7 Babylon hath been a
golden cup in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations

they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know
that there hath been a prophet among them.

polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which
dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into
my mouth.

one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the
midst of a wheel.

say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and
assemble you out of the countries where ye have been
scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
26-16:31 In that
thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine
high place in every street; and hast not been as
an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;
26-20:41 I will
accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and
gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been
scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.
26-20:43 And there
shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall loathe yourselves in your
own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.
26-22:13 Behold,
therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made,
and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of
thee.
26-28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and
the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald,
and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes
was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am

hath been among them.

many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the

safely all of them.
27-5:15 And now
the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this
writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not
shew the interpretation of the thing:

confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that
judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath
not been done as hath been
done upon Jerusalem.
28-5:1 Hear ye
this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of
the king; for judgment is toward you,
because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a
net spread upon Tabor.
28-5:2 And the
revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
29-1:2 Hear
this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your
fathers?
29-2:2 A day of
darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the
morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after
it, even to the years of many
generations.

have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall

swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.

thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou
be little among the thousands of Judah, yet
out of thee shall he come forth unto me that
is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from
everlasting.

at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that
halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and
fame in every land where they have been put to
shame.

hath been sore displeased with your fathers.

I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith
the LORD of hosts.
39-2:9 Therefore
have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye
have not kept my ways, but have been partial in
the law.
39-2:14 Yet ye
say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been
witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt
treacherously: yet is she thy
companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
39-3:13 Your
words have been stout against me, saith the
LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so
much against thee?
40-1:6 And
Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been
the wife of Urias;

give her a writing of divorcement:
40-5:33 Again, ye
have heard that it hath been said by them of old
time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine
oaths:
40-5:38 Ye have
heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye,
and a tooth for a tooth:

heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love
thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were
done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon,
they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
40-11:23 And thou,
Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if
the mighty works, which have been done in thee,
had been done in Sodom, it would have remained
until this day.
40-13:35 That it
might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my
mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been

If we had been in the days of our fathers, we
would not have been partakers with them in the
blood of the prophets.

said unto him, Well done, thou good
and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful
over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the
joy of thy lord.

said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler
over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

ointment might have been sold for much, and
given to the poor.

man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man
is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he
had not been born.

that he had been often bound with fetters and
chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder
by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

supposed it had been a spirit, and cried
out:

have now been with me three days, and
have nothing to eat:
41-14:5 For it
might have been sold for more than three hundred
pence, and have been given to the poor. And they
murmured against her.

man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son

thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been

day’s journey; and they sought him among their
kinsfolk and acquaintance.

that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

certain women, which had been healed of evil
spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented,
sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
42-16:11 If
therefore ye have not been faithful in the
unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

have not been faithful in that which is another
man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority
over ten cities.

blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had
received his sight.

Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been
here, my brother had not died.

unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother

saith unto him, Have I been so long time with
you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the

us the Father?

heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let

descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down
from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

tetrarch, and Saul.
44-13:46 Then Paul
and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should
first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put
it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to
the Gentiles.

came thither certain Jews from

sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been
recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.

after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as

unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
44-24:19 Who ought
to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me.

also that money should have been given him of
Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and
communed with him.

they had been there many days, Festus declared
Paul’s cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by
Felix:

unto Festus, This man might have been set at
liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
45-6:5 For if
we have been planted together in the likeness of
his death, we shall be also in the
likeness of his resurrection:

Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been
made like unto Gomorrha.
45-11:34 For who
hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been
his counsellor?

cause also I have been much hindered from coming
to you.
45-15:27 It hath
pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their
duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in
whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been
a succourer of many, and of myself also.

hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren,
by them which are of the house of
Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles,
whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
47-11:6 But
though I be rude in speech, yet not
in knowledge; but we have been throughly made
manifest among you in all things.

concerning reproach, as though we had been weak.
Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.
47-11:25 Thrice was
I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and
a day I have been in the deep;
47-12:11 I am
become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the
very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.
48-3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that
ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
48-3:21 Is the law then against the promises of
God? God forbid: for if there had been a law
given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
48-3:27 For as
many of you as have been baptized into Christ
have put on Christ.
48-4:15 Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I
bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked
out your own eyes, and have given them to me.
48-5:13 For,
brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only
use not liberty for an occasion to
the flesh, but by love serve one another.
49-3:9 And to
make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which
from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus
Christ:
49-4:21 If so be
that ye have heard him, and have been taught by
him, as the truth is in Jesus:
50-2:26 For he
longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that
he had been sick.
51-1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is
made manifest to his saints:

and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of

men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet

every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea,

sent forth into all the earth.
