01-GENESIS
01-17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy
seed after thee; Every man child among you shall
be circumcised.
01-17:12 And he that is eight days old shall
be circumcised among you, every man child in
your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any
stranger, which is not of thy seed.
01-17:23 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and
all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every
male among the men of Abraham’s house; and
circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said
unto him.
01-23:6 Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty
prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall
withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.
01-23:10 And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the
children of Heth, even of all that

01-24:3 And I will make thee swear by the
LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a

brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted
and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my
hire.
01-30:33 So shall my righteousness answer for
me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among

be counted stolen with me.
01-30:35 And he removed that day the he goats

01-30:41 And it came to pass, whensoever the

those that came: for the famine was

01-47:6 The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land
make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.
02-2:5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came
down to wash herself at the river;
and her maidens walked along by the river’s side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.
02-7:5 And the Egyptians shall know that I
am the LORD, when I stretch forth
mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
02-9:20 He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and

children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.
02-12:49 One law shall be to him that is
homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among
you.
02-13:2 Sanctify unto me all the firstborn,
whatsoever openeth the womb among the children
of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.
02-13:13 And every firstling of an ass thou
shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break
his neck: and all the firstborn of
man among thy children shalt thou redeem.
02-15:11 Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the
gods? who is like thee, glorious in
holiness, fearful in praises, doing
wonders?
02-17:7 And he called the name of the place
Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and
because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among
us, or not?
02-25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary;
that I may dwell among them.
02-28:1 And take thou unto thee Aaron thy
brother, and his sons with him, from among the
children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and
Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.
02-29:45 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.
02-29:46 And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, that brought them
forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among
them: I am the LORD their God.
02-30:12 When thou takest the sum of the
children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom
for his soul unto the LORD, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou
numberest them.
02-30:13 This they shall give, every one that
passeth among them that are numbered, half a
shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary:
(a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of the LORD.
02-30:14 Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old
and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD.
02-31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore;
for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall
surely be put to death: for
whosoever doeth any work therein,
that soul shall be cut off from among his
people.
02-32:25 And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them
naked unto their shame among their enemies:)
02-34:9 And he said, If now I have found
grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is
a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for
thine inheritance.
02-34:10 And he said, Behold, I make a
covenant: before all thy people I
will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art
shall see the work of the LORD:
for it is a terrible thing that I
will do with thee.
02-34:19 All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether
ox or sheep, that is male.
02-35:5 Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a
willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and
brass,
02-35:10 And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath
commanded;
02-36:8 And every wise hearted man among them that wrought the work of the tabernacle
made ten curtains of fine twined
linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet:
with cherubims of cunning work made
he them.
03-6:18 All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your
generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be
holy.
03-6:29 All the males among the priests shall eat thereof: it is most holy.
03-7:6 Every male among
the priests shall eat thereof: it
shall be eaten in the holy place: it
is most holy.
03-7:33 He among
the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat,
shall have the right shoulder for his part.
03-7:34 For the wave breast and the heave
shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of
their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his
sons by a statute for ever from among the
children of Israel.
03-11:2 Speak unto the children of Israel,
saying, These are the beasts which ye
shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.
03-11:3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is
clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.
03-11:13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the
eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
03-11:27 And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you:
whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.
03-11:29 These also shall be unclean unto you among the
creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the
tortoise after his kind,
03-11:31 These are unclean to you among all that
creep: whosoever doth touch them,
when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even.
03-11:42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and
whatsoever goeth upon all four, or
whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping
things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
03-15:31 Thus shall ye separate the children
of Israel from their uncleanness; that they die not in their uncleanness, when
they defile my tabernacle that is among them.
03-16:16 And he shall make an atonement for
the holy place, because of the
uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in
all their sins: and so shall he do
for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among
them in the midst of their uncleanness.
03-16:29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh
month, on the tenth day of the month,
ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth
among you:
03-17:4 And bringeth it not unto the door of
the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before
the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed
blood; and that man shall be cut off from among
his people:
03-17:8 And thou shalt say unto them,
Whatsoever man there be of the house
of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among
you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,
03-17:9 And bringeth it not unto the door of
the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it unto the LORD; even that man
shall be cut off from among his people.
03-17:10 And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of
the strangers that sojourn among you, that
eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that
eateth blood, and will cut him off from among
his people.
03-17:12 Therefore I said unto the children of
Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that
sojourneth among you eat blood.
03-17:13 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or
of the strangers that sojourn among you, which
hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour
out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.
03-18:26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes
and my judgments, and shall not commit any
of these abominations; neither any
of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among
you:
03-18:29 For whosoever shall commit any of
these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among
their people.
03-19:8 Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath
profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD:
and that soul shall be cut off from among his
people.
03-19:16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among
thy people: neither shalt thou stand
against the blood of thy neighbour:
I am the LORD.
03-19:34 But
the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye
were strangers in the land of Egypt:
I am the LORD your God.
03-20:3 And I will set my face against that
man, and will cut him off from among his people;
because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to
profane my holy name.
03-20:5 Then I will set my face against that
man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring
after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among
their people.
03-20:6 And the soul that turneth after such
as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will
even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
03-20:14 And if a man take a wife and her
mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both
he and they; that there be no wickedness among
you.
03-20:18 And if a man shall lie with a woman
having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her
fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among
their people.
03-21:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak
unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be
defiled for the dead among his people:
03-21:4 But
he shall not defile himself, being a
chief man among his people, to profane himself.
03-21:10 And he that is the high priest among his
brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated
to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;
03-21:15 Neither shall he profane his seed among his people:
for I the LORD do sanctify him.
03-22:3 Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy
things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness
upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I am the LORD.
03-22:32 Neither shall ye profane my holy
name; but I will be hallowed among the children
of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you,
03-23:29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in
that same day, he shall be cut off from among
his people.
03-23:30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same
day, the same soul will I destroy from among his
people.
03-24:10 And the son of an Israelitish woman,
whose father was an Egyptian, went
out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove
together in the camp;
03-25:33 And if a man purchase of the Levites,
then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the
children of Israel.
03-25:45 Moreover of the children of the
strangers that do sojourn among you, of them
shall ye buy, and of their families that are
with you, which they begat in your land:
and they shall be your possession.
03-26:11 And I will set my tabernacle among you:
and my soul shall not abhor you.
03-26:12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my
people.
03-26:22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and
destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.
03-26:25 And I will bring a sword upon you,
that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within
your cities, I will send the pestilence among
you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
03-26:33 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and
your cities waste.
03-26:38 And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall
eat you up.
04-1:47 But the Levites after the tribe of
their fathers were not numbered among them.
04-1:49 Only thou shalt not number the tribe
of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the
children of Israel:
04-2:33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded
Moses.
04-3:12 And I, behold, I have taken the
Levites from among the children of Israel
instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among
the children of Israel: therefore
the Levites shall be mine;
04-3:41 And thou shalt take the Levites for
me (I am the LORD) instead of all the
firstborn among the children of Israel; and the
cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among
the cattle of the children of Israel.
04-3:42 And Moses numbered, as the LORD
commanded him, all the firstborn among the children
of Israel.
04-3:45 Take the Levites instead of all the
firstborn among the children of Israel, and the
cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am
the LORD.
04-4:2 Take the sum of the sons of Kohath
from among the sons of Levi, after their
families, by the house of their fathers,
04-4:18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the
families of the Kohathites from among the
Levites:
04-5:21 Then the priest shall charge the
woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The
LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy
people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;
04-5:27 And when he hath made her to drink
the water, then it shall come to pass, that,
if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water
that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall
rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.
04-8:6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
04-8:14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites
from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.
04-8:16 For they are wholly given unto me from among
the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the
children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
04-8:19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the
children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an
atonement for the children of Israel:
that there be no plague among the children of
Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.
04-9:7 And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we
may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?
04-9:13 But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and
forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people:
because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that
man shall bear his sin.
04-9:14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD;
according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner
thereof, so shall he do: ye shall
have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the
land.
04-11:1 And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the
fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of
the camp.
04-11:3 And he called the name of the place
Taberah: because the fire of the
LORD burnt among them.
04-11:4 And the mixt multitude that was among
them fell a lusting: and the
children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
04-11:20 But
even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome
unto you: because that ye have
despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we
forth out of Egypt?
04-11:21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am,
are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them
flesh, that they may eat a whole month.
04-12:6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the
LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
04-13:2 Send thou men, that they may search
the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall
ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.
04-14:11 And the LORD said unto Moses, How
long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me,
for all the signs which I have shewed among
them?
04-14:13 And Moses said unto the LORD, Then
the Egyptians shall hear it, (for
thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among
them;)
04-14:14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for
they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to
face, and that thy cloud standeth
over them, and that thou goest before
them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
04-14:42 Go not up, for the LORD is not among
you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.
04-15:14 And if a stranger sojourn with you,
or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an
offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; as ye do, so he shall
do.
04-15:23 Even
all that the LORD hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day
that the LORD commanded Moses, and
henceforward among your generations;
04-15:26 And it shall be forgiven all the
congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.
04-15:29 Ye shall have one law for him that
sinneth through ignorance, both for him
that is born among the children of Israel, and
for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
04-15:30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a
stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
04-16:3 And they gathered themselves
together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all
the congregation are holy, every one
of them, and the LORD is among them:
wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?
04-16:21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a
moment.
04-16:33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive
into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the
congregation.
04-16:45 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in
a moment. And they fell upon their faces.
04-16:47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded,
and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people:
and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
04-17:6 And Moses spake unto the children of
Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince
one, according to their fathers’ houses, even
twelve rods: and the rod of
Aaron was among
their rods.
04-18:6 And I, behold, I have taken your
brethren the Levites from among the children of
Israel: to you they are given as a gift
for the LORD, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-18:20 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou
shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them:
I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.
04-18:23 But the Levites shall do the service
of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it
shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.
04-18:24 But the tithes of the children of
Israel, which they offer as an heave
offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no
inheritance.
04-19:10 And he that gathereth the ashes of
the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of
Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among
them, for a statute for ever.
04-19:20 But the man that shall be unclean,
and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the
sanctuary of the LORD: the water of
separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.
04-21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much
people of Israel died.
04-23:9 For from the top of the rocks I see
him, and from the hills I behold him:
lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
04-23:21 He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob,
neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel:
the LORD his God is with him, and the
shout of a king is among them.
04-25:7 And when Phinehas, the son of
Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it,
he rose up from among the congregation, and
took a javelin in his hand;
04-25:11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son
of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel,
while he was zealous for my sake among them,
that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
04-25:14 Now the name of the Israelite that
was slain, even that was slain with
the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the
son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the
Simeonites.
04-26:62 And those that were numbered of them
were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no
inheritance given them among the children of
Israel.
04-26:64 But among
these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered,
when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
04-27:4 Why should the name of our father be
done away from among his family, because he hath
no son? Give unto us therefore a
possession among the brethren of our father.
04-27:7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak
right: thou shalt surely give them a
possession of an inheritance among their
father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass
unto them.
04-31:16 Behold, these caused the children of
Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in
the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among
the congregation of the LORD.
04-31:17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath
known man by lying with him.
04-32:30 But if they will not pass over with
you armed, they shall have possessions among you
in the land of Canaan.
04-33:4 For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had
smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.
04-33:54 And ye shall divide the land by lot
for an inheritance among your families: and
to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall
give the less inheritance: every
man’s inheritance shall be in the
place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall
inherit.
04-35:6 And among
the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for
the manslayer, that he may flee thither:
and to them ye shall add forty and two cities.
04-35:15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for
the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any
person unawares may flee thither.
04-35:34 Defile not therefore the land which
ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell:
for I the LORD dwell among the children of
Israel.
05-1:13 Take you wise men, and
understanding, and known among your tribes, and
I will make them rulers over you.
05-1:15 So I took the chief of your tribes,
wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and
captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and
officers among your tribes.
05-1:42 And the LORD said unto me, Say unto
them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not
among you; lest ye be smitten before your
enemies.
05-2:14 And the space in which we came from
Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of
war were wasted out from among the host, as the
LORD sware unto them.
05-2:15 For indeed the hand of the LORD was
against them, to destroy them from among the
host, until they were consumed.
05-2:16 So it came to pass, when all the men
of war were consumed and dead from among the
people,
05-4:3 Your eyes have seen what the LORD
did because of Baalpeor: for all the
men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.
05-4:27 And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
05-6:15 (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against
thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
05-7:14 Thou shalt be blessed above all
people: there shall not be male or female
barren among you, or among
your cattle.
05-7:20 Moreover the LORD thy God will send
the hornet among them, until they that are left,
and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.
05-7:21 Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among
you, a mighty God and terrible.
05-13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and
giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
05-13:11 And all Israel shall hear, and fear,
and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among
you.
05-13:13 Certain
men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among
you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and
serve other gods, which ye have not known;
05-13:14 Then shalt thou enquire, and make
search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if
it be truth, and the thing
certain, that such abomination is
wrought among you;
05-14:6 And every beast that parteth the
hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the
beasts, that ye shall eat.
05-15:4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless thee in
the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for
an inheritance to possess it:
05-15:7 If there be among
you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which
the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine
hand from thy poor brother:
05-16:11 And thou shalt rejoice before the
LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy
maidservant, and the Levite that is within
thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among
you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
05-17:2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God
giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the
LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
05-17:7 The hands of the witnesses shall be
first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people.
So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.
05-17:15 Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy
God shall choose: one from among
thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee:
thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
05-18:2 Therefore shall they have no
inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.
05-18:10 There shall not be found among you any
one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter,
or a witch,
05-18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my
words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
05-19:19 Then shall ye do unto him, as he had
thought to have done unto his brother:
so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.
05-19:20 And those which remain shall hear,
and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you.
05-21:9 So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.
05-21:11 And seest among
the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest
have her to thy wife;
05-21:21 And all the men of his city shall
stone him with stones, that he die:
so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and
all Israel shall hear, and fear.
05-22:21 Then they shall bring out the damsel
to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with
stones that she die: because she
hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
05--22:24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto
the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the
damsel, because she cried not, being in
the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
05-23:10 If there be among
you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by
night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:
05-23:16 He shall dwell with thee, even among
you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh
him best: thou shalt not oppress
him.
05-24:7 If a man be found stealing any of
his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or
selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.
05-26:11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given
unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among
you.
05-28:37 And thou shalt become an astonishment,
a proverb, and a byword, among all nations
whither the LORD shall lead thee.
05-28:54 So
that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil
toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of
his children which he shall leave:
05-28:56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole
of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be
evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her
daughter,
05-28:64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even
unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor
thy fathers have known, even wood and
stone.
05-28:65 And among
these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have
rest: but the LORD shall give thee
there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
05-29:17 And ye have seen their abominations,
and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
05-29:18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose
heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
05-30:1 And it shall come to pass, when all these
things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before
thee, and thou shalt call them to
mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy
God hath driven thee,
05-31:16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold,
thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a
whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among
them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
05-31:17 Then my anger shall be kindled
against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from
them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them;
so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because
our God is not among us?
05-32:26 I said, I would scatter them into
corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
05-32:34 Is
not this laid up in store with me, and
sealed up among my treasures?
05-32:46 And he said unto them, Set your
hearts unto all the words which I testify among
you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the
words of this law.
05-32:51 Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin;
because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
06-3:5 And Joshua said unto the people,
Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow
the LORD will do wonders among you.
06-3:10 And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall
know that the living God is among you, and that
he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites,
and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and
the Jebusites.
06-4:6 That this may be a sign among you, that when
your children ask their fathers in
time to come, saying, What mean ye by
these stones?
06-7:11 Israel hath sinned, and they have
also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also
stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.
06-7:12 Therefore the children of Israel
could not stand before their enemies, but
turned their backs before their
enemies, because they were accursed:
neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.
06-7:13 Up, sanctify the people, and say,
Sanctify yourselves against to morrow:
for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There
is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the
accursed thing from among you.
06-7:21 When I saw among
the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and
a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them;
and, behold, they are hid in the
earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.
06-8:9 Joshua therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie in ambush, and
abode between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of Ai: but Joshua lodged that night among
the people.
06-8:33 And all Israel, and their elders,
and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side
before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD,
as well the stranger, as he that was born among
them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against
mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they
should bless the people of Israel.
06-8:35 There was not a word of all that Moses
commanded, which Joshua read not before all the congregation of Israel, with
the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.
06-9:7 And the men of Israel said unto the
Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how
shall we make a league with you?
06-9:16 And it came to pass at the end of
three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among
them.
06-9:22 And Joshua called for them, and he
spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?
06-10:1 Now it came to pass, when Adonizedek
king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed
it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king;
and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;
06-13:13 Nevertheless the children of Israel
expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.
06-13:22 Balaam also the son of Beor, the
soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them.
06-14:3 For Moses had given the inheritance
of two tribes and an half tribe on the other side Jordan: but unto the Levites he gave none inheritance among them.
06-14:15 And the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man among the
Anakims. And the land had rest from war.
06-15:13 And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh
he gave a part among the children of Judah,
according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.
06-16:9 And the separate cities for the
children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all
the cities with their villages.
06-16:10 And they drave not out the Canaanites
that dwelt in Gezer: but the
Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this
day, and serve under tribute.
06-17:4 And they came near before Eleazar
the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying,
The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among
our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them
an inheritance among the brethren of their
father.
06-17:6 Because the daughters of Manasseh
had an inheritance among his sons: and the rest of Manasseh’s sons had
the land of Gilead.
06-17:9 And the coast descended unto the
river Kanah, southward of the river:
these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was
on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at the sea:
06-18:2 And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had
not yet received their inheritance.
06-18:4 Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will
send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it
according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.
06-18:7 But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have
received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant
of the LORD gave them.
06-19:49 When they had made an end of dividing
the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an
inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them:
06-20:4 And when he that doth flee unto one
of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall
declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him
into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them.
06-20:9 These were the cities appointed for
all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might flee
thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before
the congregation.
06-22:7 Now to the one half of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given possession in Bashan: but unto the other half
thereof gave Joshua among their brethren on this
side Jordan westward. And when Joshua sent them away also unto their tents,
then he blessed them,
06-22:14 And with him ten princes, of each
chief house a prince throughout all the tribes of Israel; and each one was an head of the house of their
fathers among the thousands of Israel.
06-22:19 Notwithstanding, if the land of your
possession be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the
possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD’S tabernacle dwelleth, and take
possession among us: but rebel not against the LORD, nor rebel against us, in building
you an altar beside the altar of the LORD our God.
06-22:31 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the
priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the
children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that the LORD is among us, because ye have not
committed this trespass against the LORD:
now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD.
06-23:7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their
gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither
serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:
06-23:12 Else if ye do in any wise go back,
and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you,
and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:
06-24:5 I sent Moses also and Aaron, and I
plagued Egypt, according to that which I did among
them: and afterward I brought you
out.
06-24:17 For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers
out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great
signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:
06-24:23 Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among
you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
07-1:16 And the
children of the Kenite, Moses’ father in law, went up out of the city of palm
trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which lieth in the south of Arad; and they
went and dwelt among the people.
07-1:29 Neither
did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites
dwelt in Gezer among them.
07-1:30 Neither
did Zebulun drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of
Nahalol; but the Canaanites dwelt among them,
and became tributaries.
07-1:32 But the
Asherites dwelt among the Canaanites, the
inhabitants of the land: for they
did not drive them out.
07-1:33 Neither
did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of Bethshemesh, nor the inhabitants of
Bethanath; but he dwelt among the Canaanites,
the inhabitants of the land: nevertheless
the inhabitants of Bethshemesh and of Bethanath became tributaries unto them.
07-3:5 And the
children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites,
Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:
07-5:8 They
chose new gods; then was war in the
gates: was there a shield or spear
seen among forty thousand in Israel?
07-5:9 My heart
is toward the governors of Israel, that
offered themselves willingly among the people.
Bless ye the LORD.
07-5:13 Then he
made him that remaineth have dominion over the nobles among
the people: the LORD made me have
dominion over the mighty.
07-5:14 Out of
Ephraim was there a root of them
against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy
people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle
the pen of the writer.
07-5:16 Why
abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the
bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
07-10:16 And they
put away the strange gods from among them, and
served the LORD: and his soul was
grieved for the misery of Israel.
07-12:4 Then
Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim,
because they said, Ye Gileadites are fugitives
of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among
the Manassites.
07-14:3 Then his
father and his mother said unto him, Is
there never a woman among the daughters of thy
brethren, or among all my people, that thou
goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his
father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.
07-18:1 In those
days there was no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the
Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for unto that day all their inheritance had not fallen
unto them among the tribes of Israel.
07-18:25 And the
children of Dan said unto him, Let not thy voice be heard among us, lest angry fellows run upon thee, and thou
lose thy life, with the lives of thy household.
07-20:12 And the
tribes of Israel sent men through all the tribe of Benjamin, saying, What
wickedness is this that is done among you?
07-20:16 Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could
sling stones at an hair breadth, and
not miss.
07-21:5 And the
children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with
the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made a great oath concerning him
that came not up to the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to
death.
07-21:12 And they
found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four
hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp
to Shiloh, which is in the land of
Canaan.
08-2:7 And she
said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves:
so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she
tarried a little in the house.
08-2:15 And when
she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean
even among the sheaves, and reproach her not:
08-4:10 Moreover
Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to
raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead
be not cut off from among his brethren, and from
the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
09-2:8 He
raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth
up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them
among princes, and to make them inherit the
throne of glory: for the pillars of
the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath
set the world upon them.
09-4:3 And when
the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath
the LORD smitten us to day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the
covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our
enemies.
09-4:17 And the messenger
answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been
also a great slaughter among the people, and thy
two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken.
09-6:6 Wherefore
then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their
hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among
them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?
09-7:3 And
Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the
LORD with all your hearts, then put
away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among
you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the
hand of the Philistines.
09-9:2 And he
had a son, whose name was Saul, a
choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among
the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he
was higher than any of the people.
09-9:22 And
Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them into the parlour, and made
them sit in the chiefest place among them that
were bidden, which were about thirty
persons.
09-10:10 And when
they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the
spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among
them.
09-10:11 And it came
to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to
another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among
the prophets?
09-10:12 And one of
the same place answered and said, But who is
their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
09-10:22 Therefore
they enquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the
LORD answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among
the stuff.
09-10:23 And they
ran and fetched him thence: and when
he stood among the people, he was higher than
any of the people from his shoulders and upward.
09-10:24 And Samuel
said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and
said, God save the king.
09-14:15 And there
was trembling in the host, in the field, and among
all the people: the garrison, and
the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.
09-14:30 How much
more, if haply the people had eaten freely to day of the spoil of their enemies
which they found? for had there not been now a much greater slaughter among the Philistines?
09-14:34 And Saul
said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and
say unto them, Bring me hither every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and
slay them here, and eat; and sin not
against the LORD in eating with the blood. And all the people brought every man
his ox with him that night, and slew them
there.
09-14:39 For, as the LORD liveth, which saveth Israel,
though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the
people that answered him.
09-15:6 And Saul
said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among
the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they
came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among
the Amalekites.
09-15:33 And Samuel
said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before
the LORD in Gilgal.
09-16:1 And the
LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have
rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will
send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite:
for I have provided me a king among his sons.
09-17:12 Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of
Bethlehemjudah, whose name was Jesse;
and he had eight sons: and the man
went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.
09-19:24 And he
stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and
lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among
the prophets?
09-22:14 Then
Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy
servants as David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding,
and is honourable in thine house?
09-31:9 And they
cut off his head, and stripped off his armour, and sent into the land of the
Philistines round about, to publish it in
the house of their idols, and among the
people.
10-6:19 And he
dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of
Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good
piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed
every one to his house.
10-15:31 And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among
the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the
counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
10-16:20 Then said
Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you
what we shall do.
10-17:9 Behold,
he is hid now in some pit, or in some other
place: and it will come to pass,
when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will
say, There is a slaughter among the people that
follow Absalom.
10-19:28 For all of my father’s house were but dead men
before my lord the king: yet didst
thou set thy servant among them that did eat at
thine own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?
10-22:50 Therefore
I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the
heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
10-23:8 These be the names of the mighty men whom
David had: The Tachmonite that sat
in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against
eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.
10-23:18 And
Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three
hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.
10-23:22 These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada,
and had the name among three mighty men.
11-3:13 And I
have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
11-5:6 Now
therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my
servants shall be with thy servants:
and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou
shalt appoint: for thou knowest that
there is not among
us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.
11-6:13 And I
will dwell among the children of Israel, and
will not forsake my people Israel.
11-7:51 So was
ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And
Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the
vessels, did he put among the treasures of the
house of the LORD.
11-8:53 For thou
didst separate them from among all the people of
the earth, to be thine inheritance,
as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our
fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.
11-9:7 Then
will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house,
which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel
shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:
11-11:20 And the

13-26:31 Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of
his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for,
and there were found among them mighty men of
valour at Jazer of Gilead.
13-27:6 This is that Benaiah, who was mighty among the thirty, and above the thirty: and in his course was Ammizabad his son.

the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king

because he had done good in Israel, both toward God, and toward his house.

the host of Syria came up against him:

Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal,
and Javan, to the isles afar off,
that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare
my glory among the Gentiles.
24-3:19 But I
said, How shall I put thee among the children,
and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I
said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
24-4:3 For thus
saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground,
and sow not among thorns.
24-5:26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as
he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.
24-6:15 Were they
ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed,
neither could they blush: therefore
they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
24-6:18 Therefore
hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.
24-6:27 I have
set thee for a tower and a fortress among
my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
24-8:12 Were they
ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed,
neither could they blush: therefore
shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they
shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
24-8:17 For, behold,
I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you,
which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD.
24-9:16 I will
scatter them also among the heathen, whom
neither they nor their fathers have known:
and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.
24-10:7 Who would
not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among
all the wise men of the nations, and
in all their kingdoms, there is none
like unto thee.
24-11:9 And the
LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among
the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of
Jerusalem.
24-12:14 Thus saith
the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I
have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their
land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among
them.
24-14:22 Are there any among
the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give
showers? art not thou he, O LORD our
God? therefore we will wait upon thee:
for thou hast made all these things.
24-18:13 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the
heathen, who hath heard such things:
the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible thing.
24-24:10 And I will
send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among
them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to
their fathers.
24-25:16 And they
shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
24-25:27 Therefore
thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel;
Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the
sword which I will send among you.
24-29:18 And I will
persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and
will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a
curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them:
24-29:32 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his
seed: he shall not have a man to
dwell among this people; neither shall he behold
the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught
rebellion against the LORD.
24-31:7 For thus
saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations:
publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.
24-32:20 Which hast
set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even
unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as
at this day;
24-37:4 Now
Jeremiah came in and went out among the people: for they had not put him into prison.
24-37:10 For though
ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and
there remained but wounded men among them, yet should
they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.
24-39:14 Even they
sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him unto
Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among
the people.
24-40:1 The word
that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the
guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem
and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.
24-40:5 Now while
he was not yet gone back, he said, Go
back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of
Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people:
or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the
guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.
24-40:6 Then went
Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.
24-40:11 Likewise
when all the Jews that were in Moab,
and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that
the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them
Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;
24-41:8 But ten
men were found among them that said unto
Ishmael, Slay us not: for we have
treasures in the field, of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and of honey. So
he forbare, and slew them not among their
brethren.
24-44:8 In that
ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto
other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut
yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
24-46:18 As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor is among
the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so
shall he come.
24-48:27 For was not
Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among
thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.
24-49:15 For, lo, I
will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among
men.
24-50:2 Declare
ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a
standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is
confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images
are broken in pieces.
24-50:23 How is the
hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a
desolation among the nations!
24-50:46 At the
noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.
24-51:27 Set ye up
a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among
the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the
kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause
the horses to come up as the rough caterpillars.
24-51:41 How is
Sheshach taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! how is
Babylon become an astonishment among the
nations!
25-1:1 How doth
the city sit solitary, that was full
of people! how is she become as a
widow! she that was great among the nations, and
princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!
25-1:2 She
weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are
on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her:
all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her
enemies.
25-1:3 Judah is
gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among
the heathen, she findeth no rest: all
her persecutors overtook her between the straits.
25-1:17 Zion
spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none
to comfort her: the LORD hath
commanded concerning Jacob, that his
adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.
25-2:9 Her
gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among
the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.
25-4:15 They
cried unto them, Depart ye; it is unclean;
depart, depart, touch not: when they
fled away and wandered, they said among the
heathen, They shall no more sojourn there.
25-4:20 The
breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the LORD, was taken in their pits, of
whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among
the heathen.
26-1:1 Now it
came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of
the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw
visions of God.
26-1:13 As for
the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and
like the appearance of lamps: it
went up and down among the living creatures; and
the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
26-2:5 And
they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know
that there hath been a prophet among them.
26-2:6 And
thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words,
though briers and thorns be with
thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be
dismayed at their looks, though they be a
rebellious house.
26-3:15 Then I
came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar,
and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.
26-3:25 But thou,
O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with
them, and thou shalt not go out among them:
26-4:13 And the
LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.
26-5:14 Moreover
I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the
nations that are round about thee, in
the sight of all that pass by.
26-6:8 Yet will
I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that
shall escape the sword among the nations, when
ye shall be scattered through the countries.
26-6:9 And they
that escape of you shall remember me among the
nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their
whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a
whoring after their idols: and they
shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their
abominations.
26-6:13 Then
shall ye know that I am the LORD,
when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every
high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and
under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their
idols.
26-9:2 And, behold,
six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and
every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among
them was clothed with linen, with a
writer’s inkhorn by his side: and
they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
26-11:1 Moreover
the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the LORD’S house,
which looketh eastward: and behold
at the door of the gate five and twenty men; among
whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes
of the people.
26-11:9 And I
will bring you out of the midst thereof, and deliver you into the hands of
strangers, and will execute judgments among you.
26-11:16 Therefore
say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little
sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.
26-12:10 Say thou
unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel
that are among
them.
26-12:12 And the
prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to
carry out thereby: he shall cover
his face, that he see not the ground with his
eyes.
26-12:15 And they
shall know that I am the LORD, when I
shall scatter them among the nations, and
disperse them in the countries.
26-12:16 But I will
leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the
pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen whither they come; and they shall
know that I am the LORD.
26-13:19 And will
ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of
barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to
save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear
your lies?
26-15:2 Son of
man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the
trees of the forest?
26-15:6 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among
the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I
give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
26-16:14 And thy
renown went forth among the heathen for thy
beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith
the Lord GOD.
26-18:18 As for his father, because he cruelly
oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his
iniquity.
26-19:2 And say,
What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among
lions, she nourished her whelps among young
lions.
26-19:6 And he
went up and down among the lions, he became a
young lion, and learned to catch the prey, and
devoured men.
26-19:11 And she
had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and her stature was
exalted among the thick branches, and she
appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches.
26-20:9 But I
wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were,
in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of
the land of Egypt.
26-20:23 I lifted
up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the
countries;
26-20:38 And I will
purge out from among you the rebels, and them
that transgress against me: I will
bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not
enter into the land of Israel: and
ye shall know that I am the LORD.
26-22:15 And I will
scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse
thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.
26-22:26 Her
priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between
the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their
eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among
them.
26-22:30 And I
sought for a man among them, that should make up
the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not
destroy it: but I found none.
26-23:10 These
discovered her nakedness: they took
her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women;
for they had executed judgment upon her.
26-25:10 Unto the
men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the
Ammonites may not be remembered among the
nations.
26-27:24 These were thy merchants in all sorts of things, in blue clothes, and
broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of
cedar, among thy merchandise.
26-27:36 The
merchants among the people shall hiss at thee;
thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt
be any more.
26-28:19 All they
that know thee among the people shall be
astonished at thee: thou shalt be a
terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
26-28:25 Thus saith
the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified
in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I
have given to my servant Jacob.
26-29:12 And I will
make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that
are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among
the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
26-30:23 And I will
scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and
will disperse them through the countries.
26-30:26 And I will
scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and
disperse them among the countries; and they
shall know that I am the LORD.
26-31:3 Behold,
the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon
with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and
his top was among the thick boughs.
26-31:10 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he
hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and
his heart is lifted up in his height;
26-31:14 To the end
that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height,
neither shoot up their top among the thick
boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto
death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men,
with them that go down to the pit.
26-31:18 To whom
art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among
the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto
the nether parts of the earth: thou
shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.
26-32:9 I will
also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast
not known.
26-32:21 The strong
among the mighty shall speak to him out of the
midst of hell with them that help him:
they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
26-33:6 But if
the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be
not warned; if the sword come, and take any
person from among them, he is taken away in
his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
26-33:33 And when
this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet
hath been among them.
26-34:12 As a
shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among
his sheep that are scattered; so will
I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have
been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
26-34:24 And I the
LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among
them; I the LORD have spoken it.
26-35:11 Therefore,
as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will
even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast
used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.
26-36:19 And I
scattered them among the heathen, and they were
dispersed through the countries:
according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.
26-36:21 But I had
pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.
26-36:22 Therefore
say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel,
but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among
the heathen, whither ye went.
26-36:23 And I will
sanctify my great name, which was profaned among
the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall
know that I am the LORD, saith the
Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
26-36:24 For I will
take you from among the heathen, and gather you
out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
26-36:30 And I will
multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall
receive no more reproach of famine among the
heathen.
26-37:21 And say
unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel
from among the heathen, whither they be gone,
and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
26-39:6 And I
will send a fire on Magog, and among them that
dwell carelessly in the isles: and
they shall know that I am the LORD.
26-39:21 And I will
set my glory among the heathen, and all the
heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have
laid upon them.
26-39:28 Then shall
they know that I am the LORD their
God, which caused them to be led into captivity among
the heathen: but I have gathered
them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
26-40:46 And the
chamber whose prospect is toward the
north is for the priests, the keepers
of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, which come near to the LORD to
minister unto him.
26-44:9 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in
flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.
26-47:22 And it
shall come to pass, that ye shall
divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn
among you, which shall beget children among you:
and they shall be unto you as born in the country among
the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.
27-1:6 Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel,
Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
27-1:19 And the
king communed with them; and among them all was
found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.
27-4:35 And all the
inhabitants of the earth are reputed
as nothing: and he doeth according
to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say
unto him, What doest thou?
27-7:8 I
considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among
them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns
plucked up by the roots: and,
behold, in this horn were eyes like
the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
27-11:24 He shall
enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done,
nor his fathers’ fathers; he shall scatter among
them the prey, and spoil, and riches:
yea, and he shall forecast his
devices against the strong holds, even for a time.
27-11:33 And they
that understand among the people shall instruct
many: yet they shall fall by the
sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
28-5:9 Ephraim
shall be desolate in the day of rebuke:
among the tribes of Israel have I made known
that which shall surely be.
28-7:7 They are
all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there
is none among them that calleth unto me.
28-7:8 Ephraim,
he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim
is a cake not turned.
28-8:8 Israel
is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
28-8:10 Yea,
though they have hired among the nations, now
will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king
of princes.
28-9:17 My God
will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the
nations.
28-10:14 Therefore
shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all
thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of
battle: the mother was dashed in
pieces upon her children.
28-13:15 Though he
be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall
come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain
shall be dried up: he shall spoil the
treasure of all pleasant vessels.
29-2:17 Let the
priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and
let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach,
that the heathen should rule over them:
wherefore should they say among the people,
Where is their God?
29-2:19 Yea, the
LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and
wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among
the heathen:
29-2:25 And I
will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and
the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
29-3:2 I will
also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of
Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have
scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
29-3:9 Proclaim
ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up
the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
30-1:1 The
words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of
Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and
in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the
earthquake.
30-2:16 And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day,
saith the LORD.
30-4:10 I have
sent among you the pestilence after the manner
of Egypt: your young men have I
slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the
stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
30-9:9 For, lo,
I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among
all nations, like as corn is sifted
in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
31-1:1 The
vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a
rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among
the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.
31-1:2 Behold,
I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.
31-1:4 Though
thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and
though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence
will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.
33-3:11 The heads
thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the
prophets thereof divine for money:
yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is
not the LORD among us? none evil can come
upon us.
33-4:3 And he
shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong
nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their
spears into pruninghooks: nation
shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any
more.
33-5:2 But
thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou
be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto
me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose
goings forth have been from of old,
from everlasting.
33-5:8 And the
remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in
the midst of many people as a lion among the
beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks
of sheep: who, if he go through,
both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
33-7:2 The good
man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they
hunt every man his brother with a net.
34-3:8 Art thou
better than populous No, that was situate among
the rivers, that had the waters round
about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?
35-1:5 Behold
ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder
marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be
told you.
36-3:20 At that
time will I bring you again, even in
the time that I gather you: for I
will make you a name and a praise among all
people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith
the LORD.
37-2:3 Who is left among
you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of
it as nothing?
37-2:5 According to the word that I covenanted
with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you:
fear ye not.
38-1:8 I saw by
night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.
38-1:10 And the
man that stood among the myrtle trees answered
and said, These are they whom the
LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.
38-1:11 And they
answered the angel of the LORD that stood among
the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and,
behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.
38-3:7 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my
charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and
I will give thee places to walk among these that
stand by.
38-7:14 But I
scattered them with a whirlwind among all the
nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man
passed through nor returned: for
they laid the pleasant land desolate.
38-8:13 And it
shall come to pass, that as ye were a
curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and
house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

great tumult from the LORD shall be among them;
and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand
shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.

you that would shut the doors for nought?

departed from among them.

among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others

God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
59-1:26 If any
man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth
not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
59-3:6 And the
tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body,
and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
59-3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his
works with meekness of wisdom.
59-4:1 From
whence come wars and fightings among you? come
they not hence, even of your
lusts that war in your members?
59-5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let
him sing psalms.
59-5:14 Is any
sick among you? let him call for the elders of
the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of
the Lord:
60-2:12 Having
your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you
as evildoers, they may by your good
works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
60-4:8 And
above all things have fervent charity among
yourselves: for charity shall cover
the multitude of sins.
60-5:1 The
elders which are among you I exhort, who am also
an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the
glory that shall be revealed:
60-5:2 Feed the
flock of God which is among you, taking the
oversight thereof, not by constraint,
but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
61-2:1 But
there were false prophets also among the people,
even as there shall be false teachers among you,
who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought
them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
61-2:8 (For
that righteous man dwelling among them, in
seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous
soul from day to day with their unlawful
deeds;)
64-1:9 I wrote
unto the church: but Diotrephes, who
loveth to have the preeminence among them,
receiveth us not.
65-1:15 To
execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have
ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches
which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
66-2:13 I know
thy works and where thou dwellest, even where
Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith,
even in those days wherein Antipas was my
faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where
Satan dwelleth.
66-7:15 Therefore
are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne
shall dwell among them.
66-14:4 These are
they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they
which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being
the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
