01-GENESIS
01-8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast,
and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
01-12:7 And the LORD appeared unto Abram,
and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto
the LORD, who appeared unto him.
01-12:8 And he removed from thence unto a
mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto
the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.
01-13:4 Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of
the LORD.
01-13:18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the
plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron,
and built there an altar unto the LORD.
01-22:9 And they came to the place which God
had told him of; and Abraham built an altar
there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the
altar upon the wood.
01-26:25 And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and
pitched his tent there: and there
Isaac’s servants digged a well.
01-33:20 And he erected there an altar, and called it Elelohe-Israel.
01-35:1 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go
up to Bethel, and dwell there: and
make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto
thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
01-35:3 And let us arise, and go up to
Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God,
who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I
went.
01-35:7 And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him,
when he fled from the face of his brother.
02-17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:
02-20:24 An altar
of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt
offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name
I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
02-20:25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it,
thou hast polluted it.
02-20:26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps
unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not
discovered thereon.
02-21:14 But if a man come presumptuously upon
his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.
02-24:4 And Moses wrote all the words of the
LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar
under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
02-24:6 And Moses took half of the blood,
and put it in basons; and half of the
blood he sprinkled on the altar.
02-27:1 And thou shalt make an altar of shittim
wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar
shall be foursquare: and the height
thereof shall be three cubits.
02-27:5 And thou shalt put it under the
compass of the altar beneath, that the net may
be even to the midst of the altar.
02-27:6 And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of
shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.
02-27:7 And the staves shall be put into the
rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.
02-28:43 And they shall be upon Aaron, and
upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or
when they come near unto the altar to minister
in the holy place; that they bear not
iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him
and his seed after him.
02-29:12 And thou shalt take of the blood of
the bullock, and put it upon the
horns of the altar with thy finger, and pour all
the blood beside the bottom of the altar.
02-29:13 And thou shalt take all the fat that
covereth the inwards, and the caul that
is above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and burn them upon the altar.
02-29:16 And thou shalt slay the ram, and thou
shalt take his blood, and sprinkle it round
about upon the altar.
02-29:18 And thou shalt burn the whole ram
upon the altar: it is a burnt offering
unto the LORD: it is a sweet savour, an offering made by
fire unto the LORD.
02-29:20 Then shalt thou kill the ram, and
take of his blood, and put it upon
the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his
sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their
right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar
round about.
02-29:21 And thou shalt take of the blood that
is upon the altar,
and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it
upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments
of his sons with him: and he shall
be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.
02-29:25 And thou shalt receive them of their
hands, and burn them upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour before
the LORD: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
02-29:36 And thou shalt offer every day a
bullock for a sin offering for
atonement: and thou shalt cleanse
the altar, when thou hast made an atonement for
it, and thou shalt anoint it, to sanctify it.
02-29:37 Seven days thou shalt make an
atonement for the altar, and sanctify it; and it
shall be an altar most holy: whatsoever toucheth the altar
shall be holy.
02-29:38 Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar;
two lambs of the first year day by day continually.
02-29:44 And I will sanctify the tabernacle of
the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron and
his sons, to minister to me in the priest’s office.
02-30:1 And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of shittim wood shalt
thou make it.
02-30:18 Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal:
and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
02-30:20 When they go into the tabernacle of
the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they
come near to the altar to minister, to burn
offering made by fire unto the LORD:
02-30:27 And the table and all his vessels,
and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar
of incense,
02-30:28 And the altar
of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot.
02-31:8 And the table and his furniture, and
the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar
of incense,
02-31:9 And the altar
of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot,
02-32:5 And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar
before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.
02-35:15 And the incense altar, and his staves, and the anointing oil, and the
sweet incense, and the hanging for the door at the entering in of the
tabernacle,
02-35:16 The altar
of burnt offering, with his brasen grate, his staves, and all his vessels, the
laver and his foot,
02-37:25 And he made the incense altar of shittim
wood: the length of it was a cubit, and the breadth of it a
cubit; it was foursquare; and two
cubits was the height of it; the
horns thereof were of the same.
02-38:1 And he made the altar of burnt offering of shittim wood: five
cubits was the length thereof, and
five cubits the breadth thereof; it was foursquare;
and three cubits the height thereof.
02-38:3 And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, and the shovels, and the basons, and the fleshhooks, and the firepans: all the vessels thereof made he of brass.
02-38:4 And he made for the altar a brasen grate of network under the compass
thereof beneath unto the midst of it.
02-38:7 And he put the staves into the rings
on the sides of the altar, to bear it withal; he
made the altar hollow with boards.
02-38:30 And therewith he made the sockets to
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the brasen altar, and the brasen grate for it, and all the
vessels of the altar,
02-39:38 And the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense,
and the hanging for the tabernacle door,
02-39:39 The brasen altar,
and his grate of brass, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his
foot,
02-40:5 And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the
testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.
02-40:6 And thou shalt set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the
tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
02-40:7 And thou shalt set the laver between
the tent of the congregation and the altar, and
shalt put water therein.
02-40:10 And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and
sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most
holy.
02-40:26 And he put the golden altar in the tent of the congregation before the vail:
02-40:29 And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and
offered upon it the burnt offering and the meat offering; as the LORD commanded
Moses.
02-40:30 And he set the laver between the tent
of the congregation and the altar, and put water
there, to wash withal.
02-40:32 When they went into the tent of the
congregation, and when they came near unto the altar,
they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses.
02-40:33 And he reared up the court round
about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up
the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
03-1:5 And he shall kill the bullock
before the LORD: and the priests,
Aaron’s sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon
the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
03-1:7 And the sons of Aaron the priest
shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood
in order upon the fire:
03-1:8 And the priests, Aaron’s sons,
shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:
03-1:9 But his inwards and his legs shall
he wash in water: and the priest
shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering
made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-1:11 And he shall kill it on the side of
the altar northward before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall
sprinkle his blood round about upon the altar.
03-1:12 And he shall cut it into his pieces,
with his head and his fat: and the
priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon
the altar:
03-1:13 But he shall wash the inwards and
the legs with water: and the priest
shall bring it all, and burn it upon the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour
unto the LORD.
03-1:15 And the priest shall bring it unto
the altar, and wring off his head, and burn it on the altar;
and the blood thereof shall be wrung out at the side of the altar:
03-1:16 And he shall pluck away his crop
with his feathers, and cast it beside the altar
on the east part, by the place of the ashes:
03-1:17 And he shall cleave it with the
wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar,
upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour
unto the LORD.
03-2:2 And he shall bring it to Aaron’s
sons the priests: and he shall take
thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the
frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an
offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD:
03-2:8 And thou shalt bring the meat offering
that is made of these things unto the LORD:
and when it is presented unto the priest, he shall bring it unto the altar.
03-2:9 And the priest shall take from the
meat offering a memorial thereof, and shall burn it upon the altar: it
is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-2:12 As for the oblation of the
firstfruits, ye shall offer them unto the LORD: but they shall not be burnt on the altar
for a sweet savour.
03-3:2 And he shall lay his hand upon the
head of his offering, and kill it at the
door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
and Aaron’s sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
03-3:5 And Aaron’s sons shall burn it on
the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made
by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-3:8 And he shall lay his hand upon the
head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle the
blood thereof round about upon the altar.
03-3:11 And the priest shall burn it upon
the altar:
it is the food of the offering made
by fire unto the LORD.
03-3:13 And he shall lay his hand upon the
head of it, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle
the blood thereof upon the altar round about.
03-3:16 And the priest shall burn them upon
the altar:
it is the food of the offering made by
fire for a sweet savour: all the fat
is the LORD’S.
03-4:7 And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the LORD, which is in the tabernacle of the congregation;
and shall pour all the blood of the bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation.
03-4:10 As it was taken off from the bullock
of the sacrifice of peace offerings:
and the priest shall burn them upon the altar of
the burnt offering.
03-4:18 And he shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is before
the LORD, that is in the tabernacle
of the congregation, and shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation.
03-4:19 And he shall take all his fat from
him, and burn it upon the altar.
03-4:25 And the priest shall take of the
blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of
burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
03-4:26 And he shall burn all his fat upon
the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace
offerings: and the priest shall make
an atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.
03-4:30 And the priest shall take of the
blood thereof with his finger, and put it
upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering,
and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
03-4:31 And he shall take away all the fat
thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings;
and the priest shall burn it upon the
altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the
priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.
03-4:34 And the priest shall take of the
blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of
burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar:
03-4:35 And he shall take away all the fat
thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace
offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar,
according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an atonement for his sin that he hath
committed, and it shall be forgiven him.
03-5:9 And he shall sprinkle of the blood
of the sin offering upon the side of the altar;
and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin offering.
03-5:12 Then shall he bring it to the
priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, even a memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, according to the
offerings made by fire unto the LORD:
it is a sin offering.
03-6:9 Command Aaron and his sons, saying,
This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.
03-6:10 And the priest shall put on his
linen garment, and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up
the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
03-6:12 And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it
every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn
thereon the fat of the peace offerings.
03-6:13 The fire shall ever be burning upon
the altar; it shall never go out.
03-6:14 And this is the law of the meat offering:
the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar.
03-6:15 And he shall take of it his handful,
of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the
frankincense which is upon the meat
offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a
sweet savour, even the memorial of
it, unto the LORD.
03-7:2 In the place where they kill the burnt
offering shall they kill the trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle round about upon the altar.
03-7:5 And the priest shall burn them upon
the altar for
an offering made by fire unto the LORD:
it is a trespass offering.
03-7:31 And the priest shall burn the fat
upon the altar: but the breast shall be Aaron’s and his sons’.
03-8:11 And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his vessels, both the laver and his
foot, to sanctify them.
03-8:15 And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round
about with his finger, and purified the altar,
and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar,
and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.
03-8:16 And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys,
and their fat, and Moses burned it upon
the altar.
03-8:19 And he killed it; and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar
round about.
03-8:21 And he washed the inwards and the
legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded
Moses.
03-8:24 And he brought Aaron’s sons, and
Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of
their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon
the altar round about.
03-8:28 And Moses took them from off their
hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations
for a sweet savour: it is an offering made by fire unto the
LORD.
03-8:30 And Moses took of the anointing oil,
and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his
garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons’ garments with him; and
sanctified Aaron, and his garments,
and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.
03-9:7 And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto
the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy
burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people,
and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.
03-9:8 Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.
03-9:9 And the sons of Aaron brought the
blood unto him: and he dipped his
finger in the blood, and put it upon
the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood
at the bottom of the altar:
03-9:10 But the fat, and the kidneys, and
the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.
03-9:12 And he slew the burnt offering; and
Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon
the altar.
03-9:13 And they presented the burnt
offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon
the altar.
03-9:14 And he did wash the inwards and the
legs, and burnt them upon the burnt
offering on the altar.
03-9:17 And he brought the meat offering,
and took an handful thereof, and burnt it
upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice
of the morning.
03-9:18 He slew also the bullock and the ram
for a sacrifice of peace offerings,
which was for the people: and Aaron’s sons presented unto him
the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar
round about,
03-9:20 And they put the fat upon the
breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:
03-9:24 And there came a fire out from
before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the
burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they
shouted, and fell on their faces.
03-10:12 And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that
remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven
beside the altar: for it is most holy:
03-14:20 And the priest shall offer the burnt
offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him, and he shall be clean.
03-16:12 And he shall take a censer full of
burning coals of fire from off the altar before
the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail:
03-16:18 And he shall go out unto the altar that is before
the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the
bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round
about.
03-16:20 And when he hath made an end of
reconciling the holy place, and the
tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar,
he shall bring the live goat:
03-16:25 And the fat of the sin offering shall
he burn upon the altar.
03-16:33 And he shall make an atonement for
the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation,
and for the altar, and he shall make an
atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.
03-17:6 And the priest shall sprinkle the
blood upon the altar of the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar
to make an atonement for your souls:
for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
03-21:23 Only he shall not go in unto the
vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he
hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them.
03-22:22 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or
having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD,
nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar
unto the LORD.
04-3:26 And the hangings of the court, and
the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar
round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.
04-4:11 And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it
with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put to the staves thereof:
04-4:13 And they shall take away the ashes
from the altar, and spread a purple cloth
thereon:
04-4:14 And they shall put upon it all the
vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons,
all the vessels of the altar; and they shall
spread upon it a covering of badgers’ skins, and put to the staves of it.
04-4:26 And the hangings of the court, and
the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar
round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all
that is made for them: so shall they
serve.
04-5:25 Then the priest shall take the
jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before
the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:
04-5:26 And the priest shall take an handful
of the offering, even the memorial thereof,
and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink
the water.
04-7:1 And it came to pass on the day that
Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it,
and all the instruments thereof, both the altar
and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and sanctified them;
04-7:10 And the princes offered for
dedicating of the altar in the day that it was
anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.
04-7:11 And the LORD said unto Moses, They
shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar.
04-7:84 This was the dedication of the altar, in
the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of
gold:
04-7:88 And all the oxen for the sacrifice
of the peace offerings were twenty
and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the he goats sixty, the lambs of the first
year sixty. This was the dedication
of the altar, after that it was anointed.
04-16:38 The censers of these sinners against
their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the
LORD, therefore they are hallowed:
and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
04-16:39 And Eleazar the priest took the
brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made
broad plates for a covering of the altar:
04-16:46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a
censer, and put fire therein from off the altar,
and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement
for them: for there is wrath gone
out from the LORD; the plague is begun.
04-18:3 And they shall keep thy charge, and
the charge of all the tabernacle:
only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor ye also, die.
04-18:5 And ye shall keep the charge of the
sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon
the children of Israel.
04-18:7 Therefore thou and thy sons with
thee shall keep your priest’s office for every thing of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest’s office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh
shall be put to death.
04-18:17 But the firstling of a cow, or the
firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar,
and shalt burn their fat for an
offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
04-23:2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken;
and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.
04-23:4 And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared
seven altars, and I have offered upon every
altar a bullock and a ram.
04-23:14 And he brought him into the field of
Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and
a ram on every altar.
04-23:30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and
offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.
05-12:27 And thou shalt offer thy burnt
offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar
of the LORD thy God: and the blood
of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar
of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.
05-16:21 Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of
any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy
God, which thou shalt make thee.
05-26:4 And the priest shall take the basket
out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar
of the LORD thy God.
05-27:5 And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones:
thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.
05-27:6 Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings
thereon unto the LORD thy God:
05-33:10 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments,
and Israel thy law: they shall put
incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.
06-8:30 Then Joshua built an altar unto the LORD God of Israel in mount Ebal,
06-8:31 As Moses the servant of the LORD
commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of
Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no
man hath lift up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt
offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed peace offerings.
06-9:27 And Joshua made them that day hewers
of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, even unto this day, in the place
which he should choose.
06-22:10 And when they came unto the borders
of Jordan, that are in the land of
Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of
Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great
altar to see to.
06-22:11 And the children of Israel heard say,
Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of
Manasseh have built an altar over against the
land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of
Israel.
06-22:16 Thus saith the whole congregation of
the LORD, What trespass is this that
ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following
the LORD, in that ye have builded you an altar,
that ye might rebel this day against the LORD?
06-22:19 Notwithstanding, if the land of your
possession be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the
possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD’S tabernacle dwelleth, and take
possession among us: but rebel not
against the LORD, nor rebel against us, in building you an altar beside the altar
of the LORD our God.
06-22:23 That we have built us an altar to turn from following the LORD, or if to offer
thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to offer peace offerings
thereon, let the LORD himself require it;
06-22:26 Therefore we said, Let us now prepare
to build us an altar, not for burnt offering,
nor for sacrifice:
06-22:28 Therefore said we, that it shall be,
when they should so say to us or to
our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the pattern of the altar
of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for
sacrifices; but it is a witness
between us and you.
06-22:29 God forbid that we should rebel against
the LORD, and turn this day from following the LORD, to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for
sacrifices, beside the altar of the LORD our God
that is before his tabernacle.
06-22:34 And the children of Reuben and the
children of Gad called the altar Ed:
for it shall be a witness between
us that the LORD is God.
07-6:24 Then
Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called
it Jehovahshalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
07-6:25 And it
came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s
young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the
grove that is by it:
07-6:26 And build
an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of
this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt
sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.
07-6:28 And when
the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut
down that was by it, and the second
bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.
07-6:30 Then the
men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove
that was by it.
07-6:31 And Joash
said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him?
he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he
be a god, let him plead for himself,
because one hath cast down his altar.
07-6:32 Therefore
on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him,
because he hath thrown down his altar.
07-13:20 For it
came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the
flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife
looked on it, and fell on their faces
to the ground.
07-21:4 And it
came to pass on the morrow, that the people rose early, and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.
09-2:28 And did I
choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to
be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to
burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy
father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
09-2:33 And the
man of thine, whom I shall not cut
off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house
shall die in the flower of their age.
09-7:17 And his
return was to Ramah; for there was his house; and there he judged
Israel; and there he built an altar unto the
LORD.
09-14:35 And Saul
built an altar unto the LORD: the same was the first altar that
he built unto the LORD.
10-24:18 And Gad
came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah
the Jebusite.
10-24:21 And
Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David
said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar
unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
10-24:25 And David
built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered
burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land,
and the plague was stayed from Israel.
11-1:50 And
Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the
horns of the altar.
11-1:51 And it was
told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah feareth king Solomon: for, lo, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me to day
that he will not slay his servant with the sword.
11-1:53 So king
Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar.
And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him, Go to thine house.
11-2:28 Then
tidings came to Joab: for Joab had
turned after Adonijah, though he turned not after Absalom. And Joab fled unto
the tabernacle of the LORD, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.
11-2:29 And it
was told king Solomon that Joab was fled unto the tabernacle of the LORD; and,
behold, he is by the altar. Then Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada,
saying, Go, fall upon him.
11-3:4 And the
king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place:
a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.
11-6:20 And the
oracle in the forepart was twenty
cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height
thereof: and he overlaid it with
pure gold; and so covered the altar which was
of cedar.
11-6:22 And the
whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by
the oracle he overlaid with gold.
11-7:48 And
Solomon made all the vessels that pertained
unto the house of the LORD: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, whereupon the
shewbread was,
11-8:22 And
Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in
the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands
toward heaven:
11-8:31 If any man
trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to
swear, and the oath come before thine altar in
this house:
11-8:54 And it
was so, that when Solomon had made an
end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from
before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on
his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
11-8:64 The same
day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD for there he offered burnt
offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before
the LORD was too little to receive
the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.
11-9:25 And three
times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt
incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.
11-12:32 And
Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the
month, like unto the feast that is in
Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in
Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he
had made.
11-12:33 So he
offered upon the altar which he had made in
Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and
ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and
burnt incense.
11-13:1 And,
behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto
Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.
11-13:2 And he
cried against the altar in the word of the LORD,
and said, O altar, altar,
thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David,
Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places
that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall be burnt upon thee.
11-13:3 And he
gave a sign the same day, saying, This is
the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar
shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon
it shall be poured out.
11-13:4 And it
came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had
cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put
forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold
on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he
could not pull it in again to him.
11-13:5 The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the
altar, according to the sign which the man of
God had given by the word of the LORD.
11-13:32 For the saying
which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar
in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall
surely come to pass.
11-16:32 And he
reared up an altar for Baal in the house of
Baal, which he had built in Samaria.
11-18:26 And they
took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon,
saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no
voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar
which was made.
11-18:30 And Elijah
said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him.
And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.
11-18:32 And with
the stones he built an altar in the name of the
LORD: and he made a trench about the
altar, as great as would contain two measures of
seed.
11-18:35 And the
water ran round about the altar; and he filled
the trench also with water.
12-11:11 And the guard
stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, round about the king, from the
right corner of the temple to the left corner of the temple, along by the altar
and the temple.
12-12:9 But
Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it
beside the altar, on the right side as one
cometh into the house of the LORD:
and the priests that kept the door put therein all the money that was brought into the house of the
LORD.
12-16:10 And king
Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and saw an altar that was at
Damascus: and king Ahaz sent to
Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and
the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.
12-16:11 And Urijah
the priest built an altar according to all that
king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so
Urijah the priest made it against
king Ahaz came from Damascus.
12-16:12 And when
the king was come from Damascus, the king saw the altar: and the king approached to the altar, and offered thereon.
12-16:13 And he burnt
his burnt offering and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and
sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, upon the altar.
12-16:14 And he
brought also the brasen altar, which was before the LORD, from the forefront
of the house, from between the altar and the
house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of the altar.
12-16:15 And king
Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening
meat offering, and the king’s burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the
burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and
their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt
offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for
me to enquire by.
12-18:22 But if ye
say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God:
is not that he, whose high places and
whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye
shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?
12-23:9 Nevertheless
the priests of the high places came not up to the altar
of the LORD in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened bread among their
brethren.
12-23:15 Moreover
the altar that was at Bethel, and the
high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made,
both that altar and the high place he brake
down, and burned the high place, and stamped
it small to powder, and burned the
grove.
12-23:16 And as
Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the
sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the
LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.
12-23:17 Then he
said, What title is that that I see?
And the men of the city told him, It is the
sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things
that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.
13-6:49 But Aaron
and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt
offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of
the place most holy, and to make an
atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had
commanded.
13-16:40 To offer
burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of
the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD,
which he commanded Israel;
13-21:18 Then the
angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and
set up an altar unto the LORD in the
threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
13-21:22 Then David
said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this
threshingfloor, that I may build an altar
therein unto the LORD: thou shalt
grant it me for the full price: that
the plague may be stayed from the people.
13-21:26 And David
built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered
burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered
him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt
offering.
13-21:29 For the
tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high place at Gibeon.
13-22:1 Then
David said, This is the house of the
LORD God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.
13-28:18 And for
the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and
gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the
covenant of the LORD.
14-1:5 Moreover
the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri,
the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation
sought unto it.
14-1:6 And
Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar
before the LORD, which was at the
tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.
14-4:1 Moreover
he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits the
length thereof, and twenty cubits the breadth thereof, and ten cubits the
height thereof.
14-4:19 And
Solomon made all the vessels that were
for the house of God, the golden altar also,
and the tables whereon the shewbread was
set;
14-5:12 Also the
Levites which were the singers, all
of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having
cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests
sounding with trumpets:)
14-6:12 And he
stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence
of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:
14-6:22 If a man
sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and
the oath come before thine altar in this house;
14-7:7 Moreover
Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace
offerings, because the brasen altar which Solomon
had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings,
and the fat.
14-7:9 And in
the eighth day they made a solemn assembly:
for they kept the dedication of the altar seven
days, and the feast seven days.
14-8:12 Then
Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar
of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
14-15:8 And when
Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage,
and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin,
and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
14-23:10 And he set
all the people, every man having his weapon in his hand, from the right side of
the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about.
14-26:16 But when
he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his
destruction: for he transgressed
against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon
the altar of incense.
14-26:19 Then
Uzziah was wroth, and had a censer in
his hand to burn incense: and while
he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before
the priests in the house of the LORD, from beside the incense altar.
14-29:18 Then they
went in to Hezekiah the king, and said, We have cleansed all the house of the
LORD, and the altar of burnt offering, with all
the vessels thereof, and the shewbread table, with all the vessels thereof.
14-29:19 Moreover
all the vessels, which king Ahaz in his reign did cast away in his
transgression, have we prepared and sanctified, and, behold, they are before the altar
of the LORD.
14-29:21 And they
brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he goats,
for a sin offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And
he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD.
14-29:22 So they
killed the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled it on the altar: likewise, when they had killed the
rams, they sprinkled the blood upon the altar: they killed also the lambs, and they
sprinkled the blood upon the altar.
14-29:24 And the priests
killed them, and they made reconciliation with their blood upon the altar, to make an atonement for all Israel: for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin
offering should be made for all
Israel.
14-29:27 And
Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD
began also with the trumpets, and
with the instruments ordained by
David king of Israel.
14-32:12 Hath not
the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded
Judah and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall worship before one altar, and burn incense upon it?
14-33:16 And he
repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed
thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the
LORD God of Israel.
14-35:16 So all the
service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to
offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the
LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.
15-3:2 Then
stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and
Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings
thereon, as it is written in the law
of Moses the man of God.
15-3:3 And they
set the altar upon his bases; for fear was upon them because of the people of
those countries: and they offered
burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD, even
burnt offerings morning and evening.
15-7:17 That thou
mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat
offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.
16-10:34 And we
cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood
offering, to bring it into the house
of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year,
to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law:
19-26:6 I will
wash mine hands in innocency: so
will I compass thine altar, O LORD:
19-43:4 Then will
I go unto the altar of God, unto God my
exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp
will I praise thee, O God my God.
19-51:19 Then shalt
thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole
burnt offering: then shall they
offer bullocks upon thine altar.
19-118:27 God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
23-6:6 Then
flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from
off the altar:
23-19:19 In that
day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the
midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
23-27:9 By this
therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the
stones of the altar as chalkstones that are
beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
23-36:7 But if
thou say to me, We trust in the LORD our God: is it not he, whose
high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to
Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar?
23-56:7 Even them
will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their
sacrifices shall be accepted upon
mine altar; for mine house shall be called an
house of prayer for all people.
23-60:7 All the
flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth
shall minister unto thee: they shall
come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I
will glorify the house of my glory.
25-2:7 The Lord
hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his
sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her
palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a
solemn feast.
26-8:5 Then
said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north.
So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the
gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the
entry.
26-8:16 And he
brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door
of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar,
were about five and twenty men, with
their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and
they worshipped the sun toward the east.
26-9:2 And,
behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the
north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s
inkhorn by his side: and they went
in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
26-40:46 And the
chamber whose prospect is toward the
north is for the priests, the keepers
of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of
Zadok among the sons of Levi, which come near to the LORD to minister unto him.
26-40:47 So he measured
the court, an hundred cubits long, and an hundred cubits broad, foursquare; and
the altar that
was before the house.
26-41:22 The altar of wood was
three cubits high, and the length thereof two cubits; and the corners
thereof, and the length thereof, and the walls thereof, were of wood: and he
said unto me, This is the table that is before the LORD.
26-43:13 And these are the measures of the altar after the cubits: The cubit is a cubit
and an hand breadth; even the bottom shall
be a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge
thereof round about shall be a span: and this shall be the higher place of the altar.
26-43:15 So the altar shall be four
cubits; and from the altar and upward shall be four horns.
26-43:16 And the altar shall be twelve
cubits long, twelve broad, square in
the four squares thereof.
26-43:18 And he
said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; These are the ordinances of the altar in
the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to
sprinkle blood thereon.
26-43:22 And on the
second day thou shalt offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin
offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as
they did cleanse it with the bullock.
26-43:26 Seven days
shall they purge the altar and purify it; and
they shall consecrate themselves.
26-43:27 And when
these days are expired, it shall be, that
upon the eighth day, and so forward,
the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar,
and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord GOD.
26-45:19 And the
priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the posts of the house, and upon
the four corners of the settle of the altar, and
upon the posts of the gate of the inner court.
26-47:1 Afterward
he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out
from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the
right side of the house, at the south side
of the altar.
29-1:13 Gird
yourselves, and lament, ye priests:
howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye
ministers of my God: for the meat
offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God.
29-2:17 Let the
priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and
give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the
people, Where is their God?
30-2:8 And they
lay themselves down upon clothes laid
to pledge by every altar, and they drink the
wine of the condemned in the house of
their god.
30-3:14 That in
the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also
visit the altars of Bethel: and the
horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to
the ground.
30-9:1 I saw
the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the
door, that the posts may shake: and
cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the
sword: he that fleeth of them shall
not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.
38-9:15 The LORD
of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling
stones; and they shall drink, and make
a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
38-14:20 In that
day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and
the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
39-1:7 Ye offer
polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say,
Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.
39-1:10 Who is there even among you that would shut
the doors for nought? neither do ye
kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the
LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
39-2:13 And this
have ye done again, covering the altar of the
LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth
not the offering any more, or receiveth it
with good will at your hand.
40-5:23 Therefore
if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there
rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
40-5:24 Leave
there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way;
first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
40-23:18 And,
Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is
nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
40-23:19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater,
the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the
gift?
40-23:20 Whoso
therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it,
and by all things thereon.
40-23:35 That upon
you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of
righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew
between the temple and the altar.
42-1:11 And there
appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
42-11:51 From the blood
of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.
44-17:23 For as I
passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar
with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly
worship, him declare I unto you.
46-9:13 Do ye not
know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
46-10:18 Behold
Israel after the flesh: are not they
which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
58-7:13 For he of
whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave
attendance at the altar.
58-13:10 We have an
altar, whereof they have no right to eat which
serve the tabernacle.
59-2:21 Was not
Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon
the altar?
66-6:9 And when
he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar
the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony
which they held:
66-8:3 And another
angel came and stood at the altar, having a
golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon
the golden altar which was before the throne.
66-8:5 And the
angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar,
and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and
thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
66-9:13 And the sixth
angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
66-11:1 And there
was given me a reed like unto a rod:
and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
66-14:18 And
another angel came out from the altar, which had
power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle,
saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the
earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
66-16:7 And I
heard another out of the altar say, Even so,
Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are
thy judgments.
