15-8:15 And I
gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the
priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
15-8:21 Then I
proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God,
to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our
substance.
15-8:31 Then we
departed from the river of Ahava on the
twelfth day of the first month, to go
unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our
God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as
lay in wait by the way.

12-15:38 And Jotham
slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David
his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
12-16:1 In the
seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah Ahaz the son of Jotham king of Judah began to reign.
12-16:2 Twenty
years old was Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years
in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right
in the sight of the LORD his God, like David his father.
12-16:5 Then
Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to
Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.
12-16:7 So Ahaz sent messengers to
Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, saying, I am
thy servant and thy son: come
up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of
the king of Israel, which rise up against me.
12-16:8 And Ahaz took the silver and gold that
was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king’s house,
and sent it for a present to the king
of Assyria.
12-16:10 And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet
Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and saw an altar that was at Damascus: and
king Ahaz sent to
Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to
all the workmanship thereof.
12-16:11 And Urijah
the priest built an altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it
against king Ahaz came
from Damascus.
12-16:15 And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest,
saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening
meat offering, and the king’s burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the
burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and
their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt
offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire by.
12-16:16 Thus did
Urijah the priest, according to all that king Ahaz
commanded.
12-16:17 And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the
bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the
brasen oxen that were under it, and
put it upon a pavement of stones.
12-16:19 Now the
rest of the acts of Ahaz which
he did, are they not written in the
book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
12-16:20 And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and
was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
12-17:1 In the
twelfth year of Ahaz king of
Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years.
12-18:1 Now it
came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.
12-20:11 And Isaiah
the prophet cried unto the LORD: and
he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the
dial of Ahaz.
12-23:12 And the
altars that were on the top of the
upper chamber of Ahaz, which
the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two
courts of the house of the LORD, did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast the dust
of them into the brook Kidron.
13-3:13 Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh
his son,
13-8:35 And the
sons of Micah were, Pithon, and
Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.
13-8:36 And Ahaz begat Jehoadah; and Jehoadah
begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza,
13-9:41 And the
sons of Micah were, Pithon, and
Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.
13-9:42 And Ahaz begat Jarah; and Jarah begat
Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;
14-27:9 And
Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
14-28:1 Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen
years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the
LORD, like David his father:
14-28:16 At that
time did king Ahaz send
unto the kings of Assyria to help him.
14-28:19 For the
LORD brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and
transgressed sore against the LORD.
14-28:21 For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the
princes, and gave it unto the king of
Assyria: but he helped him not.
14-28:22 And in the
time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the LORD: this is that king Ahaz.
14-28:24 And Ahaz gathered together the vessels
of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and
shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every
corner of Jerusalem.
14-28:27 And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and
they buried him in the city, even in
Jerusalem: but they brought him not
into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel:
and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
14-29:19 Moreover
all the vessels, which king Ahaz in his
reign did cast away in his transgression, have we prepared and sanctified, and,
behold, they are before the altar of
the LORD.
23-1:1 The
vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem
in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah,
kings of Judah.
23-7:1 And it
came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son
of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king
of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail
against it.
23-7:3 Then
said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the
conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;
23-7:10 Moreover
the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
23-7:12 But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither
will I tempt the LORD.
23-14:28 In the
year that king Ahaz died
was this burden.
23-38:8 Behold, I
will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial
of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the
sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
28-1:1 The word
of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah,
Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the
days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
33-1:1 The word
of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and
Jerusalem.

11-22:40 So Ahab
slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his
son reigned in his stead.
11-22:49 Then said Ahaziah
the son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the
ships. But Jehoshaphat would not.
11-22:51 Ahaziah
the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the seventeenth year of
Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned two years over Israel.
12-1:2 And Ahaziah
fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick:
and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baalzebub the god of
Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.
12-1:18 Now the
rest of the acts of Ahaziah
which he did, are they not written in
the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
12-8:24 And Joram
slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Ahaziah
his son reigned in his stead.
12-8:25 In the
twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah
the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.
12-8:26 Two and
twenty years old was Ahaziah
when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother’s
name was Athaliah, the daughter of
Omri king of Israel.
12-8:29 And king
Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had
given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah
the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in
Jezreel, because he was sick.
12-9:16 So Jehu
rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah
king of Judah was come down to see Joram.
12-9:21 And Joram
said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah
king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu,
and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.
12-9:23 And Joram
turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah,
There is treachery, O Ahaziah.
12-9:27 But when Ahaziah
the king of Judah saw this, he fled
by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite
him also in the chariot. And they did so at
the going up to Gur, which is by
Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.
12-9:29 And in
the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah
to reign over Judah.
12-10:13 Jehu met
with the brethren of Ahaziah
king of Judah, and said, Who are ye?
And they answered, We are the brethren
of Ahaziah;
and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the
queen.
12-11:1 And when
Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah
saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal.
12-11:2 But Jehosheba,
the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah,
took Joash the son of Ahaziah,
and stole him from among the king’s sons which
were slain; and they hid him, even him
and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.
12-12:18 And
Jehoash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat, and
Jehoram, and Ahaziah,
his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and
all the gold that was found in the
treasures of the house of the LORD, and in the king’s house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.
12-13:1 In the
three and twentieth year of Joash the son of Ahaziah
king of Judah Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned seventeen years.
12-14:13 And
Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son
of Ahaziah,
at Bethshemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem
from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.
13-3:11 Joram his
son, Ahaziah
his son, Joash his son,
14-20:35 And after
this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah
king of Israel, who did very wickedly:
14-20:37 Then
Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying,
Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah,
the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not
able to go to Tarshish.
14-22:1 And the
inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah
his youngest son king in his stead:
for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the
eldest. So Ahaziah
the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.
14-22:2 Forty and
two years old was Ahaziah
when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name
also was Athaliah the daughter of
Omri.
14-22:7 And the
destruction of Ahaziah
was of God by coming to Joram: for when
he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the
LORD had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.
14-22:8 And it
came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab,
and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah,
that ministered to Ahaziah,
he slew them.
14-22:9 And he
sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid
in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu:
and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the
son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah
had no power to keep still the kingdom.
14-22:10 But when
Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah
saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the
house of Judah.
14-22:11 But
Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah,
and stole him from among the king’s sons that were slain, and put him and his
nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife
of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,)
hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.

11-11:29 And it came
to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in
the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field:
11-11:30 And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces:
11-12:15 Wherefore
the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the LORD, that
he might perform his saying, which the LORD spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
11-14:2 And
Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou
be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there is Ahijah the
prophet, which told me that I should be king
over this people.
11-14:4 And
Jeroboam’s wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of
Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason
of his age.
11-14:5 And the
LORD said unto Ahijah,
Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to ask a thing of thee for her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her: for it shall be, when she cometh in, that she shall feign herself
to be another woman.
11-14:6 And it
was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at
the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou
thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.
11-14:18 And they
buried him; and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word of the LORD,
which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahijah the prophet.
11-15:27 And Baasha
the son of Ahijah, of
the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at
Gibbethon, which belonged to the
Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.
11-15:29 And it
came to pass, when he reigned, that he
smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed,
until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of the LORD, which he
spake by his servant Ahijah the
Shilonite:
11-15:33 In the
third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and
four years.
11-21:22 And will make
thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of
Baasha the son of Ahijah, for
the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin.
12-9:9 And I
will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and
like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:
13-2:25 And the
sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah,
and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.
13-11:36 Hepher the
Mecherathite, Ahijah the
Pelonite,
13-26:20 And of the
Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of
God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.
14-9:29 Now the
rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the
prophecy of Ahijah the
Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of
Nebat?
14-10:15 So the
king hearkened not unto the people:
for the cause was of God, that the LORD might perform his word, which he spake
by the hand of Ahijah the
Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
16-10:26 And Ahijah, Hanan, Anan,

12-22:12 And the
king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of
Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king’s, saying,
12-22:14 So Hilkiah
the priest, and Ahikam, and
Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of
Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she
dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.
12-25:22 And as for the people that remained in the
land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he
made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the
son of Shaphan, ruler.
14-34:20 And the
king commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the
son of Shaphan, and Abdon the son of Micah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah
a servant of the king’s, saying,
24-26:24 Nevertheless
the hand of Ahikam the
son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand
of the people to put him to death.
24-39:14 Even they
sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him unto
Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the
son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people.
24-40:5 Now while
he was not yet gone back, he said, Go
back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon
hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the
people: or go wheresoever it seemeth
convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a
reward, and let him go.
24-40:6 Then went
Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people
that were left in the land.
24-40:7 Now when
all the captains of the forces which were
in the fields, even they and
their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and
had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the
land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;
24-40:9 And
Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the
son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the
Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and
serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.
24-40:11 Likewise
when all the Jews that were in Moab,
and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left
a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;
24-40:14 And said
unto him, Dost thou certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites hath
sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay thee? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not.
24-40:16 But
Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said
unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou shalt not do this thing: for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael.
24-41:1 Now it
came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael
the son of Nethaniah the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, and the princes of
the king, even ten men with him, came unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and there they
did eat bread together in Mizpah.
24-41:2 Then
arose Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men that were with him, and
smote Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the
son of Shaphan with the sword, and slew him, whom the king of Babylon had made
governor over the land.
24-41:6 And
Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meet them, weeping all
along as he went: and it came to
pass, as he met them, he said unto them, Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.
24-41:10 Then
Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah, even the king’s daughters, and all the people that remained in
Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the
son of Ahikam: and Ishmael the son of Nethaniah
carried them away captive, and departed to go over to the Ammonites.
24-41:16 Then took
Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, all the remnant of the people
whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, even mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the
eunuchs, whom he had brought again from Gibeon:
24-41:18 Because of
the Chaldeans: for they were afraid
of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon
made governor in the land.
24-43:6 Even men, and women, and children, and
the king’s daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard
had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet,
and Baruch the son of Neriah.

Absalom’s servants came to the woman to the house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto them,
They be gone over the brook of water. And when they had sought and could not
find them, they returned to
Jerusalem.
10-18:19 Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok, Let me
now run, and bear the king tidings, how that the LORD hath avenged him of his
enemies.
10-18:22 Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok yet again to
Joab, But howsoever, let me, I pray thee, also run after Cushi. And Joab said,
Wherefore wilt thou run, my son, seeing that thou hast no tidings ready?
10-18:23 But
howsoever, said he, let me run. And
he said unto him, Run. Then Ahimaaz ran
by the way of the plain, and overran Cushi.
10-18:27 And the
watchman said, Me thinketh the running of the foremost is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok. And the
king said, He is a good man, and
cometh with good tidings.
10-18:28 And Ahimaaz called, and said unto the
king, All is well. And he fell down to the earth upon his face before the king,
and said, Blessed be the LORD thy
God, which hath delivered up the men that lifted up their hand against my lord
the king.
10-18:29 And the
king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king’s servant,
and me thy servant, I saw a great
tumult, but I knew not what it was.
11-4:15 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
13-6:8 And
Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,
13-6:9 And Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah
begat Johanan,
13-6:53 Zadok his
son, Ahimaaz his
son.

09-21:1 Then came
David to Nob to Ahimelech
the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting
of David, and said unto him, Why art thou
alone, and no man with thee?
09-21:2 And David
said unto Ahimelech
the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let
no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have
commanded thee: and I have appointed
my servants to such and such a place.
09-21:8 And David
said unto Ahimelech,
And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither
brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required
haste.
09-22:9 Then
answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I
saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
09-22:11 Then the
king sent to call Ahimelech
the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king.
09-22:14 Then Ahimelech answered the king, and
said, And who is so faithful among
all thy servants as David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy
bidding, and is honourable in thine house?
09-22:16 And the
king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house.
09-22:20 And one of

ephod in his hand.
09-26:6 Then
answered David and said to Ahimelech
the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother to Joab, saying, Who
will go down with me to Saul to the camp? And Abishai said, I will go down with
thee.
10-8:17 And Zadok
the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech
the son of Abiathar, were the
priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;
13-24:3 And David
distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar,
according to their offices in their service.
13-24:6 And
Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one
of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the
priest, and Ahimelech the
son of Abiathar, and before the chief
of the fathers of the priests and Levites:
one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.
13-24:31 These
likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the
presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests
and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.

10-15:12 And
Absalom sent for Ahithophel
the Gilonite, David’s counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy
was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
10-15:31 And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray
thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel
into foolishness.
10-15:34 But if
thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have
been thy father’s servant hitherto, so will
I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the
counsel of Ahithophel.
10-16:15 And
Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.
10-16:20 Then said
Absalom to Ahithophel,
Give counsel among you what we shall do.
10-16:21 And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in
unto thy father’s concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all
Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.
10-16:23 And the
counsel of Ahithophel,
which he counselled in those days, was as
if a man had enquired at the oracle of God:
so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with
Absalom.
10-17:1 Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let
me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David
this night:
10-17:6 And when
Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, Ahithophel hath spoken after this
manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak thou.
10-17:7 And
Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not good at this time.
10-17:14 And
Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had
appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring
evil upon Absalom.
10-17:15 Then said
Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the
elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled.
10-17:21 And it
came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and
went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the
water: for thus hath Ahithophel counselled against you.
10-17:23 And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was
not followed, he saddled his ass, and
arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order,
and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father.
10-23:34 Eliphelet

13-27:33 And Ahithophel was the king’s counsellor:
and Hushai the Archite was the king’s
companion:
13-27:34 And after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the general of the king’s army was Joab.
