said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the
fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose
seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose
seed was in itself, after his kind:
and God saw that it was good.
01-1:21 And God
created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters
brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and
every winged fowl after his kind: and God
saw that it was good.
01-1:24 And God
said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after
his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
01-1:25 And God
made the beast of the earth after his kind, and
cattle after their kind, and every thing that
creepeth upon the earth after his kind:
and God saw that it was good.
01-1:26 And God
said, Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over
the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over
every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
01-4:17 And Cain

lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and

01-6:4 There
were giants in the earth in those days; and also after
that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children
to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of
renown.
01-6:20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth
after his kind, two of every sort shall
come unto thee, to keep them alive.
01-7:10 And it
came to pass after seven days, that the waters
of the flood were upon the earth.
01-7:14 They, and
every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that
creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and
every fowl after his kind, every bird of every
sort.
01-8:3 And the
waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters
were abated.
01-8:19 Every
beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth
upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth

years.

01-11:11 And Shem
lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred
years, and begat sons and daughters.
01-11:13 And

01-13:14 And the
LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was
separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou
art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
01-14:17 And the
king of Sodom went out to meet him after his
return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with
him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale.
01-15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto
Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and
thy exceeding great reward.
01-16:3 And Sarai
Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after
Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband
Abram to be his wife.
01-16:13 And she
called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for
she said, Have I also here looked after him that
seeth me?
01-17:7 And I will
establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after
thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee,
and to thy seed after thee.
01-17:8 And I will
give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the
land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting
possession; and I will be their God.
01-17:9 And God
said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
01-17:10 This is
my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be
circumcised.
01-17:19 And God
said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name
Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting
covenant, and with his seed after him.
01-18:5 And I
will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are
ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
01-18:11 Now
Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it
ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of
women.
01-18:12 Therefore
Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am
waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
01-18:19 For I know
him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to
do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he
hath spoken of him.
01-18:25 That be
far from thee to do after this manner, to slay
the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the
wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do
right?
01-19:6 And Lot
went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after
him,
01-19:31 And the
firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not
a man in the earth to come in unto us after the
manner of all the earth:
01-22:1 And it
came to pass after these things, that God did
tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I
am.

brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at
the least ten; after that she shall go.

brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his
wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after
his mother’s death.
01-25:11 And it

God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi.

hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore
years old when she bare them.
01-26:18 And Isaac
digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham
his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after

took his brethren with him, and pursued after
him seven days’ journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead.

thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father’s house, yet wherefore hast
thou stolen my gods?

was wroth, and chode with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban,
What is my trespass? what is my sin, that thou hast so hotly
pursued after me?
01-32:29 And Jacob
asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said,
Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after
my name? And he blessed him there.
01-33:2 And he
put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.
01-33:7 And Leah
also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed
themselves.
01-35:5 And they
journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round
about them, and they did not pursue after the
sons of Jacob.

land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.

the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their
families, after their places, by their names;

man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan.

to me; that his wrath was kindled.

three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place:
and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after
the former manner when thou wast his butler.
01-41:3 And,
behold, seven other kine came up after them out
of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine
upon the brink of the river.
01-41:6 And,
behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.
01-41:19 And,
behold, seven other kine came up after them,
poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land
of Egypt for badness:
01-41:23 And,
behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind,
sprung up after them:
01-41:27 And the seven
thin and ill favoured kine that came up after
them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east
wind shall be seven years of famine.
01-41:30 And there
shall arise after them seven years of famine;
and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine
shall consume the land;
01-44:4 And when
they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said
unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and
when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil
for good?

unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make
of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.

issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be
thine, and shall be called after the name
of their brethren in their inheritance.

in the midst thereof: and after that he

thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying,

Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold,
the Egyptians marched after them; and they were
sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.

Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the
midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his

waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the

have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.
02-23:2 Thou
shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a
cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
02-23:24 Thou shalt
not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after
their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down
their images.
02-25:9 According
to all that I shew thee, after the
pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even
so shall ye make it.
02-25:40 And look
that thou make them after their pattern,
which was shewed thee in the mount.
02-28:15 And thou
shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold,
of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine
twined linen, shalt thou make it.
02-28:43 And they
shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle

numberest them.
02-30:13 This they
shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is

LORD.

shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the
art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy:

make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods,
and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
02-34:16 And thou
take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
02-34:27 And the
LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with
thee and with Israel.

bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one

estimation by shekels of silver, after the
shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering:
03-11:14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
03-11:15 Every raven after
his kind;

his kind.

unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and
the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind,
03-13:7 But if the scab spread much abroad
in the skin, after that he hath been seen of the
priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen of the priest again:
03-13:35 But if the scall spread much in the
skin after his cleansing;
03-13:55 And the priest shall look on the
plague, after that it is washed: and,
behold, if the plague have not changed his colour, and the plague be not
spread; it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the fire; it is fret
inward, whether it be bare within or without.
03-13:56 And if the priest look, and, behold,
the plague be somewhat dark after the
washing of it; then he shall rend it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or
out of the warp, or out of the woof:
03-14:8 And he that is to be cleansed shall
wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that

come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
03-14:43 And if the plague come again, and
break out in the house, after that he hath taken
away the stones, and after he hath scraped the
house, and after it is plaistered;

look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest

sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have
gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their
generations.
03-18:3 After
the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I
bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
03-19:31 Regard not them that have familiar
spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be
defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
03-20:5 Then I will set my face against that
man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among
their people.
03-20:6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut
him off from among his people.
03-23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before
the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after

morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye

03-23:16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days;
and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.

according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:
03-25:29 And if a man sell a dwelling house in
a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he
redeem it.
03-25:46 And ye shall take them as an
inheritance for your children after you, to
inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever:
but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over
another with rigour.
03-25:48 After
that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him:
03-26:33 And I will scatter you among the
heathen, and will draw out a sword after you:
and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.
03-27:3 And thy estimation shall be of the
male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall
be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of

jubile, and it shall be abated from thy estimation.

04-1:2 Take ye
the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers,
with the number of their names, every male by their polls;

names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.
04-1:20 And the

the children of Levi after the house of their

even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after
the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the shekel is

vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it:

of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the
hands of the Nazarite, after the hair of his
separation is shaven:
04-6:20 And the
priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD: this is
holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder: and after that the Nazarite may drink wine.
04-6:21 This is
the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the
LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get:
according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after
the law of his separation.

returned from searching of the land after forty
days.
04-14:34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the
land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your
iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.
04-15:13 All that
are born of the country shall do these things after
this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the
LORD.
04-15:39 And it
shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the
commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
04-16:29 If these
men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD
hath not sent me.

of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.
04-25:8 And he
went after the man of Israel into the tent, and
thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her
belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.

shall have it, and his seed after him, even the
covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and
made an atonement for the children of Israel.

and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
04-28:24 After this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the
seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the

the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy

04-35:28 Because he
should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high
priest: but after the death of the high
priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.
05-1:4 After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites,
which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in
Edrei:
05-1:8 Behold,
I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the
LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and
to their seed after them.
05-3:11 For only
Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was
a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon?
nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.
05-3:14 Jair the
son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and
Maachathi; and called them after his own name,
Bashanhavothjair, unto this day.
05-4:37 And because
he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after
them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;
05-4:40 Thou
shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee
this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days
upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.
05-4:45 These are
the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake
unto the children of Israel, after they came
forth out of Egypt,
05-4:46 On this
side Jordan, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of
the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel
smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:
05-6:14 Ye shall
not go after other gods, of the gods of the
people which are round about you;
05-8:19 And it
shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I
testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
05-9:4 Speak
not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy
God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD
hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these
nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
05-10:15 Only the
LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it
is this day.
05-11:4 And what
he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how he
made the water of the Red sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD hath destroyed them
unto this day;
05-11:28 And a
curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn
aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
05-12:8 Ye shall
not do after all the things that we do
here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
05-12:15 Notwithstanding
thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God
which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as
of the roebuck, and as of the hart.
05-12:20 When the
LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt
say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat
flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
05-12:21 If the
place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from
thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath
given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates
whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
05-12:25 Thou shalt
not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right
in the sight of the LORD.
05-12:28 Observe
and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee,
and with thy children after thee for ever, when
thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy
God.
05-12:30 Take heed
to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after
that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve
their gods? even so will I do likewise.
05-13:2 And the
sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let
us serve them;
05-13:4 Ye shall
walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and
keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave
unto him.
05-14:13 And the
glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his
kind,
05-14:14 And every
raven after his kind,
05-14:15 And the
owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after
his kind,
05-14:18 And the
stork, and the heron after her kind, and the
lapwing, and the bat.
05-14:26 And thou shalt
bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after,
for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy
soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and
thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
05-16:13 Thou shalt
observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after
that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:
05-18:9 When thou
art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn
to do after the abominations of those nations.
05-20:18 That they
teach you not to do after all their abominations,
which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your
God.
05-21:13 And she
shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine
house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her
husband, and she shall be thy wife.
05-22:2 And if
thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou
shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy
brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it
to him again.
05-24:4 Her
former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination
before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the
LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
05-24:9 Remember
what the LORD thy God did unto Miriam by the way, after
that ye were come forth out of Egypt.
05-28:14 And thou
shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the
right hand, or to the left, to go after
other gods to serve them.
05-29:22 So that
the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far
land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses
which the LORD hath laid upon it;
05-31:16 And the
LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this
people will rise up, and go a whoring after the
gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and
will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
05-31:27 For I know
thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you
this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?
05-31:29 For I know
that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves,
and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will
befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the
LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.
06-1:1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it
came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister,
saying,
06-2:5 And it
came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark,
that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them.
06-2:7 And the
men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the
fords: and as soon as they which pursued after
them were gone out, they shut the gate.
06-3:2 And it
came to pass after
three days, that the officers went through the host;
06-3:3 And they
commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD
your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from
your place, and go after it.
06-5:4 And this
is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came
out of Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in
the wilderness by the way, after they came out
of Egypt.
06-5:11 And they
did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow after
the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame day.
06-5:12 And the
manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten
of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more;
but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.
06-6:9 And the
armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward
came after the ark, the priests going on,
and blowing with the trumpets.
06-6:13 And seven
priests bearing seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the LORD went
on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went
before them; but the rereward came after the ark
of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
06-6:15 And it
came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the
day, and compassed the city after the same
manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven
times.
06-7:25 And
Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day.
And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.
06-8:6 (For
they will come out after us) till we have drawn
them from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first:
therefore we will flee before them.
06-8:16 And all
the people that were in Ai were called together to pursue after them: and they pursued after Joshua, and were drawn away from the city.
06-8:17 And there
was not a man left in Ai or Bethel, that went not out after
Israel: and they left the city open, and pursued after Israel.
06-9:16 And it
came to pass at the end of three days after they
had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their
neighbours, and that they dwelt among them.
06-10:14 And there
was no day like that before it or after it, that
the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for
Israel.
06-10:19 And stay
ye not, but pursue after your enemies,
and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities:
for the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand.
06-13:23 And the
border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border thereof. This
was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after
their families, the cities and the villages thereof.
06-13:28 This is
the inheritance of the children of Gad after
their families, the cities, and their villages.
06-19:47 And the
coast of the children of Dan went out too little for them:
therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and
smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and
called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their
father.

the avenger of blood pursue after him, then they

it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD

peace offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to
come, Ye have no part in the LORD.

was not a man left.

men of Israel gathered themselves together out of Naphtali, and out of Asher,
and out of all Manasseh, and pursued after the
Midianites.

from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man.

said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after
the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from
the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.
08-2:9 Let thine
eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men
that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels,
and drink of that which the young men have drawn.

took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw
what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she
had reserved after she was sufficed.

thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and
before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it:

for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.
09-1:9 So
Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh,
and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat
upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.

called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.
09-5:9 And

they had emerods in their secret parts.
09-6:12 And the kine took the straight way to the way of

to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and

a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:

sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of
messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after
Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto
his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with
one consent.
09-12:21 And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor
deliver; for they are vain.
09-13:4 And all Israel heard say that Saul had smitten a
garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel also was had in abomination
with the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.

hath sought him a man after his own heart, and
the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou
hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
09-14:12 And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his
armourbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And
Jonathan said unto his armourbearer, Come up after
me: for the LORD hath delivered them into the hand of Israel.
09-14:13 And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet,
and his armourbearer after him: and they
fell before Jonathan; and his armourbearer slew after
him.

hand of Israel? But he answered him not that day.

09-17:30 And he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered
him again after the former manner.

told David: wherefore he came down into a rock, and abode in the wilderness
of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after
David in the wilderness of Maon.
09-23:28 Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines:
therefore they called that place Selahammahlekoth.
09-24:8 David also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and
cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And
when Saul looked behind him, David stooped with his face to the earth, and
bowed himself.
09-24:14 After whom is the king of
Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after
a flea.

not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt
not destroy my name out of my father’s house.
09-25:13 And David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his

sword: and there went up after David
about four hundred men; and two hundred abode by the stuff.

she went after the messengers of David, and
became his wife.
09-26:3 And Saul pitched in the hill of Hachilah, which is before
Jeshimon, by the way. But David abode in the wilderness, and he saw that Saul
came after him into the wilderness.
09-26:18 And he said, Wherefore doth my lord thus pursue after his servant? for what have I done? or what evil is
in mine hand?
09-30:8 And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he
answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and
without fail recover all.
10-1:1 Now
it came to pass after the death of Saul, when David
was returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had abode two days
in Ziklag;
10-1:6 And
the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa,
behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the chariots and horsemen followed
hard after him.
10-1:10 So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure
that he could not live after that he was fallen:
and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was
on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.
10-2:1 And
it came to pass after this, that David enquired
of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the
LORD said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said,
Unto Hebron.
10-2:19 And Asahel pursued after
Abner; and in going he turned not to the right hand nor to the left from following

10-2:24 Joab also and Abishai pursued after
Abner: and the sun went down when they were come to the hill of Ammah,
that lieth before Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.
10-2:25 And the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together
after Abner, and became one troop, and stood on
the top of an hill.
10-2:28 So Joab blew a trumpet, and all the people stood still,
and pursued after Israel no more, neither fought
they any more.

after Abner, which brought him again from the
well of Sirah: but David knew it not.

of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron:
and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.

thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee,
which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his
stead.

David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed
the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at
Jerusalem.
10-11:3 And David sent and enquired after
the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of
Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
10-12:28 Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and
encamp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called
after my name.
10-13:1 And it came to pass after
this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar;
and Amnon the son of David loved her.
10-13:17 Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and
said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.
10-13:18 And she had a garment of divers colours upon her:
for with such robes were the king’s daughters that were virgins
apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.
10-13:23 And it came to pass after
two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside
Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.
10-14:26 And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year’s
end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him,
therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred
shekels after the king’s weight.
10-15:1 And it came to pass after
this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run
before him.
10-15:7 And it came to pass after
forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my
vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.
10-15:13 And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of
the men of Israel are after Absalom.
10-15:16 And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines,
to keep the house.
10-15:17 And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.
10-15:18 And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the
Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men
which came after him from Gath, passed on before
the king.
10-17:1 Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose
out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after
David this night:
10-17:6 And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto
him, saying, Ahithophel hath spoken after this
manner: shall we do after his
saying? if not; speak thou.
10-17:21 And it came to pass, after
they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king
David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for
thus hath Ahithophel counselled against you.
10-18:16 And Joab blew the trumpet, and the people returned from
pursuing after Israel: for Joab held back
the people.
10-18:18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for
himself a pillar, which is in the king’s dale: for he said, I
have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this
day, Absalom’s place.
10-18:22 Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok yet again to Joab, But
howsoever, let me, I pray thee, also run after
Cushi. And Joab said, Wherefore wilt thou run, my son, seeing that thou hast no
tidings ready?
10-20:2 So every man of Israel went up from after David, and followed Sheba the son of
Bichri: but the men of Judah clave unto their king, from Jordan even to
Jerusalem.
10-20:6 And David said to Abishai, Now shall Sheba the son of
Bichri do us more harm than did Absalom: take thou thy lord’s
servants, and pursue after him, lest he get him
fenced cities, and escape us.
10-20:7 And there went out after
him Joab’s men, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and all the mighty men:
and they went out of Jerusalem, to pursue after
Sheba the son of Bichri.
10-20:10 But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in
Joab’s hand: so he smote him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed
out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab
and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the
son of Bichri.
10-20:11 And one of Joab’s men stood by him, and said, He that
favoureth Joab, and he that is for David, let him go after Joab.
10-20:13 When he was removed out of the highway, all the people
went on after Joab, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
10-20:14 And he went through all the tribes of Israel unto Abel,
and to Bethmaachah, and all the Berites: and they were gathered
together, and went also after him.
10-21:1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years,
year after year; and David enquired of the LORD.
And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house,
because he slew the Gibeonites.
10-21:14 And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in
the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father:
and they performed all that the king commanded. And after
that God was intreated for the land.
10-21:18 And it came to pass after
this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai
the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.
10-23:4 And he shall be as the light of the morning, when
the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender
grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.
10-23:9 And after him was Eleazar
the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David,
when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle,
and the men of Israel were gone away:
10-23:10 He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was
weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great
victory that day; and the people returned after
him only to spoil.
10-23:11 And after him was Shammah
the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a
troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled
from the Philistines.
10-24:10 And David’s heart smote him after
that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned
greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away
the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
11-1:6 And
his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so?
and he also was a very goodly man; and his mother bare him
after Absalom.
11-1:13 Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him,
Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon
thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit
upon my throne? why then doth Adonijah reign?
11-1:14 Behold, while thou yet talkest there with the king, I
also will come in after thee, and confirm thy
words.
11-1:17 And she said unto him, My lord, thou swarest by the LORD
thy God unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall
reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.
11-1:20 And thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon
thee, that thou shouldest tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the
king after him.
11-1:24 And Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said,
Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit
upon my throne?
11-1:27 Is this thing done by my lord the king, and thou hast not
shewed it unto thy servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the
king after him?
11-1:30 Even as I sware unto thee by the LORD God of Israel,
saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after
me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do
this day.
11-1:35 Then ye shall come up after
him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my stead:
and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.
11-1:40 And all the people came up after
him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the
earth rent with the sound of them.
11-2:28 Then tidings came to Joab: for Joab had turned after Adonijah, though he turned not after Absalom. And Joab fled unto the tabernacle of
the LORD, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.
11-3:12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I
have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like
thee before thee, neither after thee shall any
arise like unto thee.
11-3:18 And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also:
and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house,
save we two in the house.
11-6:1 And
it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after
the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year
of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second
month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.
11-7:11 And above were costly stones, after the measures of hewed stones, and cedars.
11-7:31 And the mouth of it within the chapiter and above was a
cubit: but the mouth thereof was round after the work of the base, a cubit and an half: and
also upon the mouth of it were gravings with their borders, foursquare,
not round.
11-7:37 After this manner he
made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one
size.
11-9:21 Their children that were left after
them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to
destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.
11-11:2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto
the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in
unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in
love.
11-11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his
wives turned away his heart after other gods:
and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of
David his father.
11-11:5 For Solomon went after
Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after
Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
11-11:6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went
not fully after the LORD, as did David
his father.
11-11:10 And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he
should not go after other gods: but he
kept not that which the LORD commanded.
11-11:15 For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the
captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, after
he had smitten every male in Edom;
11-12:14 And spake to them after the
counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will
add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I
will chastise you with scorpions.
11-13:14 And went after the man of
God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou
the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.
11-13:23 And it came to pass, after
he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that
he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought
back.
11-13:31 And it came to pass, after he
had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me
in the sepulchre wherein the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside
his bones:
11-13:33 After this thing Jeroboam returned
not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of
the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one
of the priests of the high places.
11-15:4 Nevertheless for David’s sake did the LORD his God give
him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after
him, and to establish Jerusalem:
11-16:24 And he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents
of silver, and built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he
built, after the name of Shemer, owner of the
hill, Samaria.
11-17:7 And it came to pass after
a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it
unto me, and after make for thee and for thy
son.
11-17:17 And it came to pass after
these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell
sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.
11-18:1 And it came to pass after
many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year,
saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.
11-18:28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the
blood gushed out upon them.
11-19:11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the
LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the
mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was
not in the wind: and after the wind
an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
11-19:12 And after the earthquake a
fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
11-19:20 And he left the oxen, and ran after
Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then
I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what
have I done to thee?
11-19:21 And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and
slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave
unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.
11-20:15 Then he numbered the young men of the princes of the
provinces, and they were two hundred and thirty two: and after them he numbered all the people, even all
the children of Israel, being seven thousand.
11-21:1 And it came to pass after these
things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in
Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.

Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of
Ahab.
12-5:20 But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said,
Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands
that which he brought: but, as the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.
12-5:21 So Gehazi followed after
Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after
him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all
well?
12-6:24 And it came to pass after
this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and
besieged Samaria.
12-7:14 They took therefore two chariot horses; and the king sent
after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and
see.
12-7:15 And they went after them
unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and
vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers
returned, and told the king.
12-8:2 And
the woman arose, and did after the saying of the
man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land
of the Philistines seven years.
12-9:25 Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and
cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for
remember how that, when I and thou rode together after
Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;
12-9:27 But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he
fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after
him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the
going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died
there.
12-10:29 Howbeit from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat,
who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not from after
them, to wit, the golden calves that were in Bethel, and that were
in Dan.
12-14:17 And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of
Israel fifteen years.
12-14:19 Now they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem:
and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him
to Lachish, and slew him there.
12-14:22 He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.
12-17:15 And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he
made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them;
and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after
the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD
had charged them, that they should not do like them.
12-17:33 They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away
from thence.
12-17:34 Unto this day they do after
the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after
their ordinances, or after the law and
commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named
Israel;
12-17:40 Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner.
12-18:5 He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of
Judah, nor any that were before him.
12-21:2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the
LORD, after the abominations of the heathen,
whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
12-23:3 And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant
before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to
keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart
and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were
written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.
12-23:25 And like unto him was there no king before him, that
turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his
might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after
him arose there any like him.
12-25:5 And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of

13-5:1 Now
the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn;
but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto
the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be
reckoned after the birthright.
13-5:25 And they transgressed against the God of their fathers,
and went a whoring after the gods of the people
of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
13-6:31 And these are they whom David set over the service
of song in the house of the LORD, after that the
ark had rest.
13-7:4 And
with them, by their generations, after the house
of their fathers, were bands of soldiers for war, six and thirty
thousand men: for they had many wives and sons.
13-7:9 And
the number of them, after their genealogy by
their generations, heads of the house of their fathers, mighty men of valour, was
twenty thousand and two hundred.
13-8:8 And
Shaharaim begat children in the country of Moab, after he had sent them away; Hushim and Baara were his
wives.
13-9:25 And their brethren, which were in their villages, were
to come after seven days from time to time
with them.
13-10:2 And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons; and
the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.
13-11:12 And after him was Eleazar
the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighties.
13-14:14 Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto
him, Go not up after them; turn away from them,
and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
13-15:13 For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD
our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
13-17:11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that
thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will
establish his kingdom.
13-18:1 Now after this it came to
pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her
towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
13-19:1 Now it came to pass after
this, that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon died, and his son reigned
in his stead.
13-20:1 And it came to pass, that after
the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led
forth the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon,
and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote
Rabbah, and destroyed it.
13-20:4 And it came to pass after
this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time
Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the
giant: and they were subdued.
13-23:24 These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the
fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the
work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and
upward.
13-24:30 The sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth.
These were the sons of the Levites after
the house of their fathers.
13-27:1 Now the children of Israel after
their number, to wit, the chief fathers and captains of thousands and
hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses,
which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the
year, of every course were twenty and four thousand.
13-27:7 The fourth captain for the fourth month was Asahel
the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after
him: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
13-27:34 And after Ahithophel was
Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the general of the
king’s army was Joab.
13-28:8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation
of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the
commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land,
and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
13-29:14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we
should be able to offer so willingly after this
sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
13-29:21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered
burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after
that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a
thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all
Israel:
14-1:12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I
will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have
had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
14-2:17 And Solomon numbered all the strangers that were in
the land of Israel, after the numbering
wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred
and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred.
14-3:3 Now
these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of
the house of God. The length by cubits after the
first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
14-4:20 Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they
should burn after the manner before the oracle,
of pure gold;
14-8:8 But
of their children, who were left after them
in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to
pay tribute until this day.
14-8:13 Even after a certain rate
every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and
on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in
the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of
tabernacles.
14-10:5 And he said unto them, Come again unto me after three days. And the people departed.
14-10:14 And answered them after the
advice of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add
thereto: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with
scorpions.
14-11:16 And after them out of all
the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel
came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.
14-11:20 And after her he took
Maachah the daughter of Absalom; which bare him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza,
and Shelomith.
14-13:9 Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of
Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after
the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to
consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be
a priest of them that are no gods.
14-13:19 And Abijah pursued after
Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah
with the towns thereof, and Ephrain with the towns thereof.
14-17:4 But sought to the LORD God of his father, and
walked in his commandments, and not after the
doings of Israel.
14-18:2 And after certain years
he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in
abundance, and for the people that he had with him, and persuaded him to
go up with him to Ramothgilead.
14-18:19 And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel,
that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.
14-20:1 It came to pass after this
also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with
them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.
14-20:35 And after this did
Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did
very wickedly:
14-21:18 And after all this the LORD
smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease.
14-21:19 And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by
reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made
no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.
14-22:4 Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the
house of Ahab: for they were his counsellors after
the death of his father to his destruction.
14-22:5 He walked also after their
counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against
Hazael king of Syria at Ramothgilead: and the Syrians smote Joram.
14-23:21 And all the people of the land rejoiced: and the
city was quiet, after that they had slain
Athaliah with the sword.
14-24:4 And it came to pass after
this, that Joash was minded to repair the house of the LORD.
14-24:17 Now after the death of
Jehoiada came the princes of Judah, and made obeisance to the king. Then the
king hearkened unto them.
14-25:14 Now it came to pass, after
that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the
gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed
down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.
14-25:15 Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against
Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou
sought after the gods of the people, which could
not deliver their own people out of thine hand?
14-25:20 But Amaziah would not hear; for it came of God,
that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they
sought after the gods of Edom.
14-25:25 And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of
Israel fifteen years.

did turn away from following the LORD they made a conspiracy against him in

14-26:17 And Azariah the priest went in after
him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men:
14-28:3 Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of
Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after
the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children
of Israel.
14-30:16 And they stood in their place after
their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests
sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.
14-31:2 And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the
Levites after their courses, every man according
to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace
offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the
tents of the LORD.
14-32:1 After these things, and
the establishment thereof, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into
Judah, and encamped against the fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself.
14-32:9 After this did Sennacherib
king of Assyria send his servants to Jerusalem, (but he himself laid siege against
Lachish, and all his power with him,) unto Hezekiah king of Judah, and unto all
Judah that were at Jerusalem, saying,
14-33:14 Now after this he built a
wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even
to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it
up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of
Judah.
14-34:3 For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet
young, he began to seek after the God of David
his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and
Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the
molten images.
14-34:21 Go, enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left
in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found:
for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because
our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after
all that is written in this book.
14-34:31 And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant
before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to
keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his
heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are
written in this book.
14-35:4 And prepare yourselves by the houses of your
fathers, after your courses, according to the
writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his
son.
14-35:5 And stand in the holy place according to the
divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.
14-35:20 After all this, when Josiah
had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against
Charchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.

transgressed very much after all the
abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had
hallowed in Jerusalem.
15-2:61 And of
the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of
Koz, the children of Barzillai; which took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai
the Gileadite, and was called after their name:
15-2:69 They gave
after their ability unto the treasure of the
work threescore and one thousand drams of gold, and five thousand pound of
silver, and one hundred priests’ garments.
15-3:10 And when
the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the
priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with
cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance
of David king of Israel.
15-5:4 Then
said we unto them after this manner, What are
the names of the men that make this building?
15-5:12 But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto
wrath, he gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, the
Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away into Babylon.
15-7:1 Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of
Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,
15-7:18 And
whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of
the silver and the gold, that do after the will
of your God.
15-7:25 And thou,
Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in
thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are
beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them
that know them not.
15-9:10 And now,
O our God, what shall we say after this? for we
have forsaken thy commandments,
15-9:13 And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and
for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our
iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;
15-10:16 And the
children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain
chief of the fathers, after the house of their
fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in
the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.
16-3:16 After him repaired
Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Bethzur, unto the
place over against the sepulchres of David, and to the pool that was made,
and unto the house of the mighty.
16-3:17 After him repaired the
Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next unto him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of
the half part of Keilah, in his part.
16-3:18 After him repaired their
brethren, Bavai the son of Henadad, the ruler of the half part of Keilah.
16-3:20 After him Baruch the son
of Zabbai earnestly repaired the other piece, from the turning of the wall unto
the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.
16-3:21 After him repaired
Meremoth the son of Urijah the son of Koz another piece, from the door of the
house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib.
16-3:22 And after him repaired the
priests, the men of the plain.
16-3:23 After him repaired
Benjamin and Hashub over against their house. After
him repaired Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah by his house.
16-3:24 After him repaired Binnui
the son of Henadad another piece, from the house of Azariah unto the turning of
the wall, even unto the corner.
16-3:25 Palal the son of Uzai, over against the turning of the
wall, and the tower which lieth out from the king’s high house, that was
by the court of the prison. After him
Pedaiah the son of Parosh.
16-3:27 After them the Tekoites
repaired another piece, over against the great tower that lieth out, even unto
the wall of Ophel.
16-3:29 After them repaired Zadok the
son of Immer over against his house. After him
repaired also Shemaiah the son of Shechaniah, the keeper of the east gate.
16-3:30 After him repaired
Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, another
piece. After him repaired Meshullam the son of
Berechiah over against his chamber.
16-3:31 After him repaired
Malchiah the goldsmith’s son unto the place of the Nethinims, and of the
merchants, over against the gate Miphkad, and to the going up of the corner.
16-4:13 Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and
on the higher places, I even set the people after
their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.
16-5:8 And
I said unto them, We after our ability have
redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye
even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their
peace, and found nothing to answer.
16-6:4 Yet
they sent unto me four times after this sort;
and I answered them after the same manner.
16-7:63 And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the
children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the
daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
16-9:28 But after they had rest,
they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand
of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they
returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many
times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies;
16-10:34 And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and
the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our
God, after the houses of our fathers, at times
appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is
written in the law:
16-11:8 And after him Gabbai,
Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight.
16-12:32 And after them went
Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,
16-12:38 And the other company of them that gave thanks went
over against them, and I after them, and the
half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even
unto the broad wall;
16-13:6 But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem:
for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the
king, and after certain days obtained I leave of
the king:
16-13:19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem
began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut,
and charged that they should not be opened till after
the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there
should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.
17-1:22 For he
sent letters into all the king’s provinces, into every province according to
the writing thereof, and to every people after
their language, that every man should bear rule in his own house, and that it
should be published according to the language of every people.
17-2:1 After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus
was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed
against her.
17-2:12 Now when
every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after
that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so
were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months
with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things
for the purifying of the women;)
17-3:1 After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the
son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the
princes that were with him.
17-3:12 Then were
the king’s scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there
was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king’s
lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to
the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof,
and to every people after their language;
in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king’s ring.
17-8:9 Then
were the king’s scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the
month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written
according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants,
and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto
Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according
to the writing thereof, and unto every people after
their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to
their language.
17-9:26 Wherefore
they called these days Purim after the name of
Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they
had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,
18-3:1 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
18-10:6 That thou
enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin?
18-18:20 They that
come after him shall be astonied at his
day, as they that went before were affrighted.
18-19:26 And though
after my skin worms destroy this body,
yet in my flesh shall I see God:
18-21:3 Suffer me
that I may speak; and after that I have spoken,
mock on.
18-21:21 For what
pleasure hath he in his house after him,
when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
18-21:33 The clods
of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
18-29:22 After my words they spake not again; and my speech
dropped upon them.
18-30:5 They were
driven forth from among men, (they cried after
them as after a thief;)
18-31:7 If my
step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after
mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands;
18-37:4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with
the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.
18-39:8 The range
of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.
18-39:10 Canst thou
bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
18-41:32 He maketh
a path to shine after him; one would
think the deep to be hoary.
18-42:7 And it
was so, that after the LORD had spoken
these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is
kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not
spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
18-42:8 Therefore
take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and
offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you:
for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after
your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right,
like my servant Job.
18-42:16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and
saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even four generations.
19-4:2 O ye
sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will
ye love vanity, and seek after leasing?
Selah.
19-10:4 The
wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his
thoughts.
19-16:4 Their
sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after
another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer,
nor take up their names into my lips.
19-27:4 One thing
have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold
the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
19-28:4 Give them
according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours:
give them after the work of their hands; render
to them their desert.
19-35:4 Let them
be confounded and put to shame that seek after
my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my
hurt.
19-38:12 They also
that seek after my life lay snares for me:
and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits
all the day long.
19-40:14 Let them be
ashamed and confounded together that seek after
my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish
me evil.
19-42:1 As the
hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth
my soul after thee, O God.
19-49:11 Their
inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and
their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.
19-49:17 For when
he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.
19-51:title To the chief Musician, A Psalm
of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to
Bathsheba.
19-54:3 For
strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after
my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
19-63:8 My soul
followeth hard after thee: thy right hand
upholdeth me.
19-68:25 The
singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with
timbrels.
19-70:2 Let them
be ashamed and confounded that seek after my
soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my
hurt.
19-78:34 When he
slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and enquired early after God.
19-86:14 O God, the
proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have
sought after my soul; and have not set thee
before them.
19-103:10 He hath not
dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us
according to our iniquities.
19-104:21 The young
lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat
from God.
19-110:4 The LORD
hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
19-119:40 Behold, I
have longed after thy precepts: quicken
me in thy righteousness.
19-119:85 The proud
have digged pits for me, which are not after
thy law.
19-119:88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the
testimony of thy mouth.
19-119:150 They draw
nigh that follow after mischief: they are
far from thy law.
19-143:6 I stretch
forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
19-144:12 That our
sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters
may be as corner stones, polished after
the similitude of a palace:
20-2:3 Yea,
if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest
up thy voice for understanding;
20-6:25 Lust not after her beauty
in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
20-7:22 He goeth after her
straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of
the stocks;
20-15:9 The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the
LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after
righteousness.
20-20:7 The just man walketh in his integrity: his
children are blessed after him.
20-20:25 It is a snare to the man who devoureth that
which is holy, and after vows to make
enquiry.
20-21:21 He that followeth after
righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
20-28:19 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread:
but he that followeth after vain persons shall
have poverty enough.
21-1:11 There is no remembrance of former things; neither
shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those
that shall come after.
21-2:12 And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and
folly: for what can the man do that cometh after the king? even that which hath been
already done.
21-2:18 Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the
sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
21-3:22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better,
than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion:
for who shall bring him to see what shall be after
him?
21-4:16 There is no end of all the people, even of
all that have been before them: they also that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is
vanity and vexation of spirit.
21-6:12 For who knoweth what is good for man in this life,
all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a
man what shall be after him under the sun?
21-7:14 In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of
adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to
the end that man should find nothing after him.
21-9:3 This
is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there
is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is
full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
21-10:14 A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell
what shall be; and what shall be after him, who
can tell him?
21-11:1 Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt
find it after many days.
21-12:2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars,
be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the
rain:
22-1:4 Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his
chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love
more than wine: the upright love thee.
23-1:23 Thy
princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one
loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards:
they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto
them.
23-5:17 Then
shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the
waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.
23-10:24 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not
afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift
up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
23-10:26 And the
LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of
Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the
sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of
Egypt.
23-11:3 And shall
make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall
not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither
reprove after the hearing of his ears:
23-23:15 And it
shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years,
according to the days of one king: after
the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.
23-23:17 And it shall
come to pass after the end of seventy years,
that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit
fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
23-24:22 And they
shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and
shall be shut up in the prison, and after many
days shall they be visited.
23-43:10 Ye are my
witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye
may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me
there was no God formed, neither shall there be after
me.
23-44:13 The
carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he
fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of
a man; that it may remain in the house.
23-45:14 Thus saith
the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans,
men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they
shall come after thee; in chains they shall come
over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto
thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none
else, there is no God.
23-49:20 The
children which thou shalt have, after thou hast
lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait
for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
23-51:1 Hearken
to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye
that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to
the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.
23-65:2 I have
spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a
way that was not good, after their own
thoughts;
24-2:2 Go
and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee,
the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not
sown.
24-2:5 Thus
saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone
far from me, and have walked after vanity, and
are become vain?
24-2:8 The
priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew
me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets
prophesied by Baal, and walked after things
that do not profit.
24-2:23 How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what
thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;
24-2:25 Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from
thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved
strangers, and after them will I go.
24-3:7 And
I said after she had done all these things, Turn
thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
24-3:17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD;
and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to
Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after
the imagination of their evil heart.
24-5:8 They
were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour’s wife.
24-7:6 If
ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not
innocent blood in this place, neither walk after
other gods to your hurt:
24-7:9 Will
ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto
Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know
not;
24-8:2 And
they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of
heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have
sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor
be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
24-9:14 But have walked after the
imagination of their own heart, and after
Baalim, which their fathers taught them:
24-9:16 I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither
they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.
24-9:22 Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcases of men
shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them.
24-11:10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their
forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of
Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their
fathers.
24-12:6 For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even
they have dealt treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a multitude after thee: believe them not, though they speak
fair words unto thee.
24-12:15 And it shall come to pass, after
that I have plucked them out I will return, and have compassion on them, and
will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.
24-13:6 And it came to pass after
many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the
girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.
24-13:9 Thus saith the LORD, After
this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
24-13:10 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which
walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after
other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle,
which is good for nothing.
24-16:11 Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have
forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after
other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken
me, and have not kept my law;
24-16:12 And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye
walk every one after the imagination of his evil
heart, that they may not hearken unto me:
24-16:16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and
they shall fish them; and after will I send for
many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every
hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
24-18:12 And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the
imagination of his evil heart.
24-23:17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath
said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall
come upon you.
24-24:1 The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were
set before the temple of the LORD, after
that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son
of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and
smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
24-25:6 And go not after other
gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the
works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.
24-25:26 And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with
another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of
the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after
them.
24-28:12 Then the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the
prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had
broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,
24-29:2 (After that Jeconiah the
king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and
the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)
24-29:10 For thus saith the LORD, That after
seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good
word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
24-30:17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee
of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This
is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
24-30:18 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the
captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city
shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
24-31:19 Surely after that I was
turned, I repented; and after that I was
instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even
confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.
24-31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make
with the house of Israel; After those days, saith
the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their
hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
24-32:18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and
recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD
of hosts, is his name,
24-32:39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may
fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
24-34:8 This is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the
LORD, after that the king Zedekiah had made a
covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim
liberty unto them;
24-35:15 I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets,
rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from
his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after
other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to
you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor
hearkened unto me.
24-36:27 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words
which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
24-39:5 But the Chaldeans’ army pursued after
them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and when they had
taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in
the land of Hamath, where he gave judgment upon him.
24-40:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had
let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all
that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away
captive unto Babylon.
24-41:4 And it came to pass the second day after he had slain Gedaliah, and no man knew it,
24-41:16 Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains
of the forces that were with him, all the remnant of the people whom he
had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he had slain Gedaliah the son of
Ahikam, even mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the
eunuchs, whom he had brought again from Gibeon:
24-42:7 And it came to pass after
ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah.
24-42:16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye
feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof
ye were afraid, shall follow close after you
there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.
24-49:37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies,
and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even
my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:
24-50:21 Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against
it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy after them, saith the LORD, and do according to all
that I have commanded thee.
24-51:46 And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that
shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a
rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
24-52:8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
26-5:2 Thou
shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of
the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite
about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind;
and I will draw out a sword after them.
26-5:12 A third
part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be
consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword
round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I
will draw out a sword after them.
26-6:9 And they
that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be
carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath
departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall loathe
themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
26-7:27 The king
shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of
the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I
judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
26-9:5 And to
the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after
him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye
pity:
26-11:12 And ye
shall know that I am the LORD: for ye have not walked in my
statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after
the manners of the heathen that are round about you.
26-11:21 But as
for them whose heart walketh after the heart
of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way
upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD.
26-12:14 And I will
scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all
his bands; and I will draw out the sword after
them.
26-16:23 And it
came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe
unto thee! saith the Lord GOD;)
26-16:47 Yet hast
thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that
were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all
thy ways.
26-20:16 Because they
despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths:
for their heart went after their idols.
26-20:24 Because they
had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted
my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their
fathers’ idols.
26-20:30 Wherefore
say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye
whoredom after their abominations?
26-23:15 Girded
with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed attire upon their heads, all
of them princes to look to, after the manner of
the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land of their nativity:
26-23:30 I will do
these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art
polluted with their idols.
26-23:45 And the
righteous men, they shall judge them after the
manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of
women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in
their hands.
26-23:48 Thus will
I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to
do after your lewdness.
26-29:16 And it
shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their
iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after
them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
26-33:20 Yet ye
say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you
every one after his ways.
26-33:31 And they
come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my
people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with
their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.
26-34:6 My sheep
wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my
flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek
after them.
26-36:11 And I will
multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit:
and I will settle you after your old estates,
and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall
know that I am the LORD.
26-38:8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the
latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the
sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of
Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the
nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
26-39:14 And they
shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury
with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it:
after the end of seven months shall they search.
26-39:26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their
trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in
their land, and none made them afraid.
26-40:1 In the five
and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth
day of the month, in the fourteenth year after
that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon
me, and brought me thither.
26-40:21 And the
little chambers thereof were three on this side and three on that side;
and the posts thereof and the arches thereof were after
the measure of the first gate: the length thereof was fifty cubits,
and the breadth five and twenty cubits.
26-40:22 And their
windows, and their arches, and their palm trees, were after the measure of the gate that looketh toward the
east; and they went up unto it by seven steps; and the arches thereof were before
them.
26-40:24 After that he brought me toward the south, and behold
a gate toward the south: and he measured the posts thereof and the
arches thereof according to these measures.
26-41:5 After he measured the wall of the house, six cubits;
and the breadth of every side chamber, four cubits, round about the
house on every side.
26-43:13 And these are
the measures of the altar after the cubits:
The cubit is a cubit and an hand breadth; even the bottom shall be a
cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof
round about shall be a span: and this shall be the higher place
of the altar.
26-44:10 And the
Levites that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went
astray away from me after their idols; they
shall even bear their iniquity.
26-44:26 And after he is cleansed, they shall reckon unto him seven
days.
26-45:11 The ephah
and the bath shall be of one measure, that the bath may contain the tenth part
of an homer, and the ephah the tenth part of an homer: the measure
thereof shall be after the homer.
26-46:12 Now when
the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings
voluntarily unto the LORD, one shall then open him the gate that looketh
toward the east, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace
offerings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate.
26-46:17 But if he
give a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his to
the year of liberty; after it shall return to
the prince: but his inheritance shall be his sons’ for them.
26-46:19 After he brought me through the entry, which was at
the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which looked
toward the north: and, behold, there was a place on the two sides
westward.
26-48:31 And the
gates of the city shall be after the
names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of
Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.
27-2:39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to
thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the
earth.
27-3:29 Therefore
I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing
amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in
pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no
other God that can deliver after this sort.
27-4:26 And
whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall
be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have
known that the heavens do rule.
27-7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard,
which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four
heads; and dominion was given to it.
27-7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a
fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great
iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue
with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were
before it; and it had ten horns.
27-7:24 And the
ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise:
and another shall rise after them; and he shall
be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
27-8:1 In the
third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even
unto me Daniel, after that which appeared
unto me at the first.
27-9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut
off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come
shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with
a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27-11:13 For the
king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than
the former, and shall certainly come after
certain years with a great army and with much riches.
27-11:18 After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and
shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf shall cause the
reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it
to turn upon him.
27-11:23 And after the league made with him he shall work
deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small
people.
28-2:5 For
their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done
shamefully: for she said, I will go after
my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine
oil and my drink.
28-2:7 And she
shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not
overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then
shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better
with me than now.
28-2:13 And I
will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and
she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD.
28-5:8 Blow ye
the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Bethaven,
after thee, O Benjamin.
28-5:11 Ephraim is
oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.
28-6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third
day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
28-7:4 They are
all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from
raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until
it be leavened.
28-11:10 They shall
walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a
lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
28-12:1 Ephraim
feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east
wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a
covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
29-2:2 A day of
darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the
morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there
hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after
it, even to the years of many generations.
30-2:4 Thus
saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not
turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of
the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to
err, after the which their fathers have walked:
30-2:7 That
pant after the dust of the earth on the head of
the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father
will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:
30-4:4 Come to
Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your
sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after
three years:
30-4:10 I have
sent among you the pestilence after the manner
of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken
away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your
nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
30-7:1 Thus
hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the
beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the
latter growth after the king’s mowings.
38-2:8 For
thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory
hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth
you toucheth the apple of his eye.
38-6:6 The
black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the
white go forth after them; and the grisled go
forth toward the south country.
38-7:14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the
nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after
them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the
pleasant land desolate.
40-1:12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat
Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
40-3:11 I indeed
baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not
worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
40-5:6 Blessed are
they which do hunger and thirst after
righteousness: for they shall be filled.
40-5:28 But I say
unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after
her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
40-6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father
which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
40-6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:)
for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
40-10:38 And he
that taketh not his cross, and followeth after
me, is not worthy of me.
40-12:39 But he
answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it,
but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
40-15:12 Then came
his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were
offended, after they heard this saying?
40-15:23 But he
answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send
her away; for she crieth after us.
40-16:4 A wicked and
adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and
there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he
left them, and departed.
40-16:24 Then said
Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after
me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
40-17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his
brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
40-18:32 Then his
lord, after that he had called him, said unto
him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou
desiredst me:
40-23:3 All
therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do
not ye after their works: for they say,
and do not.
40-24:29 Immediately
after the tribulation of those days shall the
sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall
fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
40-25:19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh,
and reckoneth with them.
40-26:2 Ye know
that after two days is the feast of the
passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
40-26:32 But after I am risen again, I will go before you into
Galilee.
40-26:73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by,
and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech
bewrayeth thee.
40-27:31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off
from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.
40-27:53 And came
out of the graves after his resurrection, and
went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
40-27:63 Saying,
Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
41-1:7 And preached,
saying, There cometh one mightier than I after
me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.
41-1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into
Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
41-1:17 And Jesus
said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will
make you to become fishers of men.
41-1:20 And
straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the
ship with the hired servants, and went after
him.
41-1:36 And Simon
and they that were with him followed after him.
41-2:1 And
again he entered into Capernaum after some days;
and it was noised that he was in the house.
41-4:28 For the
earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
41-8:12 And he
sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no
sign be given unto this generation.
41-8:25 After that he put his hands again upon his
eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man
clearly.
41-8:31 And he
began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be
rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be
killed, and after three days rise again.
41-8:34 And when
he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto
them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
41-9:2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and
James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves:
and he was transfigured before them.
41-9:31 For he
taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the
hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after
that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
41-12:34 And when
Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from
the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst
ask him any question.
41-13:24 But in
those days, after that tribulation, the sun
shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
41-14:1 After two days was the feast of the passover,
and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought
how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
41-14:28 But after that I am risen, I will go before you into
Galilee.
41-14:70 And he
denied it again. And a little after, they that
stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for
thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.
41-16:12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of
them, as they walked, and went into the country.
41-16:14 Afterward
he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief
and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
41-16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received
up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
42-1:24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid
herself five months, saying,
42-1:59 And it
came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and
they called him Zacharias, after the name of his
father.
42-2:27 And he
came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the
child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of
the law,
42-2:42 And when
he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after
the custom of the feast.
42-2:46 And it
came to pass, that after three days they found
him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and
asking them questions.
42-5:27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican,
named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him,
Follow me.
42-6:1 And it
came to pass on the second sabbath after the
first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears
of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.
42-7:11 And it
came to pass the day after, that he went into a
city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
42-9:23 And he
said to them all, If any man will come after
me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
42-9:28 And it
came to pass about an eight days after these
sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
42-10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy
also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place,
whither he himself would come.
42-12:4 And I say
unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
42-12:5 But I
will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell;
yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
42-12:30 For all
these things do the nations of the world seek after:
and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
42-13:9 And if it
bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
42-14:27 And
whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after
me, cannot be my disciple.
42-14:29 Lest
haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is
not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
42-15:4 What man
of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the
ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after
that which is lost, until he find it?
42-15:13 And not
many days after the younger son gathered all together,
and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with
riotous living.
42-17:23 And they
shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
42-19:14 But his
citizens hated him, and sent a message after
him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
42-20:40 And after that they durst not ask him any question at
all.
42-21:8 And he
said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name,
saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not
therefore after them.
42-21:26 Men’s
hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after
those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven
shall be shaken.
42-22:20 Likewise
also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is
the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
42-22:58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou
art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
42-22:59 And about
the space of one hour after another confidently
affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for
he is a Galilaean.
42-23:26 And as
they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the
country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.
42-23:55 And the
women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after,
and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
43-1:15 John bare
witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was
before me.
43-1:27 He it is,
who coming after me is preferred before me,
whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
43-1:30 This is
he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which
is preferred before me: for he was before me.
43-1:35 Again the
next day after John stood, and two of his
disciples;
43-2:6 And
there were set there six waterpots of stone, after
the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins
apiece.
43-2:12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his
mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there
not many days.
43-3:22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into
the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
43-4:43 Now after two days he departed thence, and went into
Galilee.
43-5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus
went up to Jerusalem.
43-5:4 For an
angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water:
whosoever then first after the troubling of the
water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
43-6:1 After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee,
which is the sea of Tiberias.
43-6:23 (Howbeit
there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat
bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)
43-7:1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for
he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
43-8:15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
43-11:7 Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go
into Judaea again.
43-11:11 These
things said he: and after that he saith
unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of
sleep.
43-12:19 The Pharisees
therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold,
the world is gone after him.
43-13:5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to
wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he
was girded.
43-13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his
garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done
to you?
43-13:27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus
unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
43-19:28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now
accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
43-19:38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of
Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take
away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came
therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
43-20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and
Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and
stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
43-21:1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the
disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.
43-21:14 This is
now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
44-1:2 Until
the day in which he was taken up, after that he
through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had
chosen:
44-1:3 To whom
also he shewed himself alive after his passion
by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the
things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
44-1:8 But ye
shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost
is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
44-3:24 Yea, and
all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after,
as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
44-5:4 Whiles
it remained, was it not thine own? and after it
was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in
thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
44-5:7 And it
was about the space of three hours after, when his
wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
44-5:37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of
the taxing, and drew away much people after him:
he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.
44-7:5 And he
gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on:
yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.
44-7:7 And the
nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this
place.
44-7:36 He
brought them out, after that he had shewed
wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the
wilderness forty years.
44-7:45 Which
also our fathers that came after brought in with
Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face
of our fathers, unto the days of David;
44-9:23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took
counsel to kill him:
44-10:24 And the
morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And
Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near
friends.
44-10:37 That word,
I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from
Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
44-10:41 Not to all
the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did
eat and drink with him after he rose from the
dead.
44-12:4 And when
he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to
four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after
Easter to bring him forth to the people.
44-13:15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the
rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren,
if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
44-13:20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the
space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
44-13:22 And when
he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also
he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
44-13:25 And as
John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But,
behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes
of his feet I am not worthy to loose.
44-13:36 For David,
after he had served his own generation by the
will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
44-14:24 And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to
Pamphylia.
44-15:1 And
certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except
ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye
cannot be saved.
44-15:13 And after they had held their peace, James answered,
saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
44-15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the
tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins
thereof, and I will set it up:
44-15:17 That the
residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all
the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these
things.
44-15:23 And they
wrote letters by them after this manner;
The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren
which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
44-15:33 And after they had tarried there a space, they were
let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.
44-15:36 And some
days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go
again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of
the Lord, and see how they do.
44-16:7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into
Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.
44-16:10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we
endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called
us for to preach the gospel unto them.
44-17:27 That they
should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after
him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
44-18:1 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came
to Corinth;
44-18:18 And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while,
and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with
him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for
he had a vow.
44-18:23 And after he had spent some time there, he
departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order,
strengthening all the disciples.
44-19:4 Then said
Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the
people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
44-19:21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the
spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem,
saying, After I have been there, I must also see
Rome.
44-20:1 And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the
disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.
44-20:6 And we
sailed away from Philippi after the days of
unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode
seven days.
44-20:18 And when
they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I
came into Asia, after what manner I have been
with you at all seasons,
44-20:29 For I know
this, that after my departing shall grievous
wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
44-20:30 Also of
your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away
disciples after them.
44-21:1 And it
came to pass, that after we were gotten from
them, and had launched, we came with a straight course unto Coos, and the day
following unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara:
44-21:15 And after those days we took up our carriages, and went up
to Jerusalem.
44-21:21 And they
are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the
Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children,
neither to walk after the customs.
44-21:36 For the
multitude of the people followed after, crying,
Away with him.
44-22:29 Then
straightway they departed from him which should have examined him: and
the chief captain also was afraid, after he knew
that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.
44-23:3 Then said
Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for
sittest thou to judge me after the law, and
commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?
44-23:25 And he
wrote a letter after this manner:
44-24:1 And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with
the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who
informed the governor against Paul.
44-24:10 Then Paul,
after that the governor had beckoned unto him to
speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge
unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
44-24:14 But this I
confess unto thee, that after the way which they
call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are
written in the law and in the prophets:
44-24:17 Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation,
and offerings.
44-24:24 And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife
Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the
faith in Christ.
44-24:27 But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix’ room:
and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
44-25:1 Now when
Festus was come into the province, after three
days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.
44-25:13 And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came unto
Caesarea to salute Festus.
44-25:26 Of whom I
have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth
before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
44-26:5 Which
knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
44-27:14 But not
long after there arose against it a tempestuous
wind, called Euroclydon.
44-27:21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of
them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed
from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
44-28:6 Howbeit
they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly:
but after they had looked a great while, and saw
no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
44-28:11 And after three months we departed in a ship of
Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.
44-28:13 And from
thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the
next day to Puteoli:
44-28:17 And it
came to pass, that after three days Paul called
the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he
said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing
against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner
from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
44-28:25 And when
they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after
that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet
unto our fathers,
45-2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up
unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous
judgment of God;
45-3:11 There is
none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after
God.
45-5:14 Nevertheless
death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is
the figure of him that was to come.
45-6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of
your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness
and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to
righteousness unto holiness.
45-7:22 For I
delight in the law of God after the inward man:
45-8:1 There
is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who
walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
45-8:4 That the
righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after
the Spirit.
45-8:5 For they
that are after the flesh do mind the things of
the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit
the things of the Spirit.
45-8:12 Therefore,
brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after
the flesh.
45-8:13 For if ye
live after the flesh, ye shall die: but
if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
45-9:30 What
shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness,
even the righteousness which is of faith.
45-9:31 But
Israel, which followed after the law of
righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
45-10:20 But Esaias
is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made
manifest unto them that asked not after me.
45-14:19 Let us
therefore follow after the things which make for
peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
46-1:21 For after that in the
wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the
foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
46-1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
46-1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise
men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many
noble, are called:
46-7:7 For
I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift
of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
46-7:40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have
the Spirit of God.
46-10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we
should not lust after evil things, as they also
lusted.
46-10:18 Behold Israel after the
flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
46-11:25 After the same manner also he
took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in
my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of
me.
46-12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles,
secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after
that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of
tongues.
46-14:1 Follow after charity, and
desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
46-15:6 After that, he was seen of
above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this
present, but some are fallen asleep.
46-15:7 After that, he was seen of
James; then of all the apostles.
46-15:32 If after the manner of men
I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise
not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
47-5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known
Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know
we him no more.
47-7:9 Now
I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance:
for ye were made sorry after a godly manner,
that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
47-7:11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in
you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation,
yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal,
yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to
be clear in this matter.
47-9:14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
47-10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
47-10:7 Do ye look on things after
the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let
him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are
we Christ’s.
47-11:17 That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this
confidence of boasting.
47-11:18 Seeing that many glory after
the flesh, I will glory also.
48-1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was
preached of me is not after man.
48-1:18 Then after three years I
went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
48-2:1 Then
fourteen years after I went up again to
Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.
48-2:14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according
to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou,
being a Jew, livest after the manner of
Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as
do the Jews?
48-3:15 Brethren, I speak after
the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed,
no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
48-3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was
confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty
years after, cannot disannul, that it should
make the promise of none effect.
48-3:25 But after that faith is
come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
48-4:9 But
now, after that ye have known God, or rather are
known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye
desire again to be in bondage?
48-4:23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by
promise.
48-4:29 But as then he that was born after
the flesh persecuted him that was born after
the Spirit, even so it is now.
49-1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being
predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
49-1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after
that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom
also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with
that holy Spirit of promise,
49-1:15 Wherefore I also, after I
heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
49-4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true
holiness.
50-1:8 For
God is my record, how greatly I long after you
all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
50-2:26 For he longed after you
all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been
sick.
50-3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already
perfect: but I follow after, if that I
may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
51-2:8 Beware
lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after
the rudiments of the world, and not after
Christ.
51-2:22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
51-3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in
knowledge after the image of him that created
him:
52-2:2 But
even after that we had suffered before, and were
shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak
unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
53-2:9 Even
him, whose coming is after the working of
Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
53-3:6 Now
we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye
withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
54-5:15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.
54-5:24 Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to
judgment; and some men they follow after.
54-6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil:
which while some coveted after, they have erred
from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
54-6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience,
meekness.
55-4:3 For
the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears;
56-1:1 Paul, a
servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s
elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after
godliness;
56-1:4 To
Titus, mine own son after the common
faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord
Jesus Christ our Saviour.
56-3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour
toward man appeared,
56-3:10 A man
that is an heretick after the first and second
admonition reject;
58-3:5 And
Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a
testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
58-4:7 Again,
he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after
so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not
your hearts.
58-4:11 Let us
labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
58-5:6 As he
saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
58-5:10 Called of
God an high priest after the order of
Melchisedec.
58-6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the
promise.
58-6:20 Whither
the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for
ever after the order of Melchisedec.
58-7:2 To whom
also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of
righteousness, and after that also King of
Salem, which is, King of peace;
58-7:11 If
therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people
received the law,) what further need was there that another priest
should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and
not be called after the order of Aaron?
58-7:15 And it is
yet far more evident: for that after the
similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
58-7:16 Who is
made, not after the law of a carnal commandment,
but after the power of an endless life.
58-7:17 For he
testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after
the order of Melchisedec.
58-7:21 (For those
priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto
him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
58-8:10 For this is
the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws
into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a
God, and they shall be to me a people:
58-9:3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called
the Holiest of all;
58-9:17 For a
testament is of force after men are dead:
otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
58-9:27 And as it
is appointed unto men once to die, but after
this the judgment:
58-10:12 But this
man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins
for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
58-10:15 Whereof
the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after
that he had said before,
58-10:16 This is
the covenant that I will make with them after
those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their
minds will I write them;
58-10:26 For if we
sin wilfully after that we have received the
knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
58-10:32 But call
to remembrance the former days, in which, after
ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
58-10:36 For ye
have need of patience, that, after ye have done
the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
58-11:8 By faith
Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went
out, not knowing whither he went.
58-11:30 By faith
the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were
compassed about seven days.
58-12:10 For they verily
for a few days chastened us after their
own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers
of his holiness.
59-3:9 Therewith
bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
60-3:5 For
after this manner in the old time the holy women
also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their
own husbands:
60-5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his
eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye
have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
61-1:15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in
remembrance.
61-2:6 And
turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an
overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
61-2:10 But chiefly them that walk after
the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are
they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
61-2:20 For if after they have
escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the
latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
61-2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way
of righteousness, than, after they have known it,
to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
61-3:3 Knowing
this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
63-1:6 And
this is love, that we walk after his
commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the
beginning, ye should walk in it.
64-1:6 Which
have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring
forward on their journey after a godly sort,
thou shalt do well:
65-1:7 Even as
Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves
over to fornication, and going after strange flesh,
are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
65-1:11 Woe unto
them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in
the gainsaying of Core.
65-1:16 These are
murmurers, complainers, walking after their own
lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s
persons in admiration because of advantage.
65-1:18 How that
they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
66-4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened
in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a
trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee
things which must be hereafter.
66-7:1 And
after these things I saw four angels standing on
the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the
wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
66-7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which
no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues,
stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and
palms in their hands;
66-11:11 And after three days and an
half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their
feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
66-12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried
away of the flood.
66-13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death;
and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
66-15:5 And after that I looked,
and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
66-18:1 And after these things I
saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was
lightened with his glory.
66-18:14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which
were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more
at all.
66-19:1 And after these things I
heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and
glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
66-20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up,
and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the
thousand years should be fulfilled: and after
that he must be loosed a little season.
