01-GENESIS
01-23:17 And the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which
was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees
that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure
01-35:5 And they journeyed: and the terror of God was
upon the cities that were round about them, and
they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.
01-37:7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field,
and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves
stood round about, and made obeisance to my
sheaf.
01-38:24 And it came to pass about
three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law
hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And
Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.
01-39:11 And it came to pass about
this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was
none of the men of the house there within.
01-41:25 And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is
one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about
to do.
01-41:28 This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh:
What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.
01-41:42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put
it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a
gold chain about his neck;
01-41:48 And he gathered up all the food of the seven years,
which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the
food of the field, which was round about every
city, laid he up in the same.
01-42:24 And he turned himself about
from them, and wept; and returned to them again, and communed with them, and
took from them Simeon, and bound him before their eyes.
01-46:34 That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we,
and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every
shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
02-7:24 And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not
drink of the water of the river.
02-9:18 Behold, to morrow about
this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been
in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
02-11:4 And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:
02-12:37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to
Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that
were men, beside children.
02-13:18 But God led the people about,
through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of
Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.
02-16:13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up,
and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.
02-19:12 And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not
up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the
mount shall be surely put to death:
02-19:23 And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come
up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.
02-25:11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and
without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.
02-25:24 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make
thereto a crown of gold round about.
02-25:25 And thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand
breadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden
crown to the border thereof round about.
02-27:17 All the pillars round about
the court shall be filleted with silver; their hooks shall be of silver, and
their sockets of brass.
02-28:32 And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the
midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an
habergeon, that it be not rent.
02-28:33 And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make
pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them
round about:
02-28:34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a
pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.
02-29:16 And thou shalt slay the ram, and thou shalt take his
blood, and sprinkle it round about upon the
altar.
02-29:20 Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood,
and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the
right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the
great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
02-30:3 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top
thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and
the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about.
02-32:28 And the children of Levi did according to the word of
Moses: and there fell of the people that day about
three thousand men.
02-37:2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without,
and made a crown of gold to it round about.
02-37:11 And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made thereunto
a crown of gold round about.
02-37:12 Also he made thereunto a border of an handbreadth
round about; and made a crown of gold for the
border thereof round about.
02-37:26 And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it,
and the sides thereof round about, and the horns
of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.
02-38:16 All the hangings of the court round about were of fine twined linen.
02-38:20 And all the pins of the tabernacle, and of the court
round about, were of brass.
02-38:31 And the sockets of the court round about, and the sockets of the court gate, and all the
pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins of the court round about.
02-39:23 And there was an hole in the midst of the robe, as the
hole of an habergeon, with a band round about
the hole, that it should not rend.
02-39:25 And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells
between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates;
02-39:26 A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate,
round about the hem of the robe to minister in;
as the LORD commanded Moses.
02-40:8 And thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.
02-40:33 And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the
hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
03-1:5 And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and
the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation.
03-1:11 And he shall kill it on the side of the altar
northward before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall sprinkle
his blood round about upon the altar.
03-3:2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his
offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
and Aaron’s sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
03-3:8 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his
offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and
Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof round about
upon the altar.
03-3:13 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and
kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and the sons of Aaron
shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.
03-6:5 Or all that about which
he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add
the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in
the day of his trespass offering.
03-7:2 In the place where they kill the burnt offering shall
they kill the trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle
round about upon the altar.
03-8:15 And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it
upon the horns of the altar round about with his
finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar,
and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.
03-8:19 And he killed it; and Moses sprinkled the blood upon
the altar round about.
03-8:24 And he brought Aaron’s sons, and Moses put of the
blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right
hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled
the blood upon the altar round about.
03-9:12 And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons
presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about
upon the altar.
03-9:18 He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice
of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron’s sons presented
unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,
03-14:41 And he shall cause the house to be scraped within
round about, and they shall pour out the dust
that they scrape off without the city into an unclean place:
03-16:18 And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the
LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock,
and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.
03-25:31 But the houses of the villages which have no wall
round about them shall be counted as the fields
of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the
jubile.
03-25:44 Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt
have, shall be of the heathen that are round about
you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
04-1:50 But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle
of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong
to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and
they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about
the tabernacle.
04-1:53 But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no
wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites
shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.
04-2:2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his
own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they
pitch.
04-3:26 And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the
door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service
thereof.
04-3:37 And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their
cords.
04-4:4 This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the
tabernacle of the congregation, about the most
holy things:
04-4:14 And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof,
wherewith they minister about it, even the
censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the
altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers’ skins, and put to
the staves of it.
04-4:26 And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the
door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar
round about, and their cords, and all the
instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall
they serve.
04-4:32 And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their
cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by
name ye shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden.
04-11:8 And the people went about,
and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it
in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of
fresh oil.
04-11:24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of
the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set
them round about the tabernacle.
04-11:31 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought
quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey
on this side, and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon
the face of the earth.
04-11:32 And the people stood up all that day, and all that
night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that
gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for
themselves round about the camp.
04-16:24 Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.
04-16:34 And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the
earth swallow us up also.
04-16:49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand
and seven hundred, beside them that died about
the matter of Korah.
04-22:4 And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall
this company lick up all that are round about
us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor
was king of the Moabites at that time.
04-32:33 And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad,
and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of
Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king
of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of
the country round about.
04-34:12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings
out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts
thereof round about.
04-35:2 Command the children of Israel, that they give unto
the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye
shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.
04-35:4 And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give
unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand
cubits round about.
05-6:14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the
people which are round about you;
05-12:10 But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land
which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from
all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell
in safety;
05-13:7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from
the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
05-17:14 When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy
God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say,
I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
05-21:2 Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and
they shall measure unto the cities which are round about
him that is slain:
05-25:19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath
given thee rest from all thine enemies round about,
in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess
it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou
shalt not forget it.
05-31:21 And it shall come to pass, when many evils and
troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a
witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed:
for I know their imagination which they go about,
even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.
05-32:10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste
howling wilderness; he led him about, he
instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
06-2:5 And it came to pass about
the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out:
whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall
overtake them.
06-3:4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not
near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have
not passed this way heretofore.
06-4:13 About
forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the
plains of Jericho.
06-6:3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and
go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do
six days.
06-6:11 So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and
lodged in the camp.
06-6:15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose
early about the dawning of the day, and
compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day
they compassed the city seven times.
06-7:3 And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not
all the people go up; but let about two or three
thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither;
for they are but few.
06-7:4 So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before
the men of Ai.
06-7:5 And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them
from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down:
wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.
06-8:12 And he took about five
thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west
side of the city.
06-10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until
the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in
the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted
not to go down about a whole day.
06-11:6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because
of them: for to morrow about this time
will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their
horses, and burn their chariots with fire.
06-15:12 And the west border was to the great sea, and the
coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.
06-16:6 And the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah
on the north side; and the border went about
eastward unto Taanathshiloh, and passed by it on the east to Janohah;
06-18:20 And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This
was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts thereof round about, according to their families.
06-19:8 And all the villages that were round about these cities to Baalathbeer, Ramath of the
south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according
to their families.
06-21:11 And they gave them the city of Arba the father of
Anak, which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs
thereof round about it.
06-21:42 These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities.
06-21:44 And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their
fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the
LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
06-23:1 And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD
had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.
07-2:12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which
brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of
the people that were round about them, and bowed
themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
07-2:14 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and
he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold
them into the hands of their enemies round about,
so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
07-3:29 And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of
valour; and there escaped not a man.
07-7:21 And they stood every man in his place round about the camp: and all the host ran, and
cried, and fled.
07-8:10 Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their hosts
with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that
were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell
an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword.
07-8:26 And the weight of the golden earrings that he
requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments,
and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the
chains that were about their camels’ necks.
07-9:49 And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough,
and followed Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set the hold on fire upon
them; so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.
07-16:27 Now the house was full of men and women; and all the
lords of the Philistines were there; and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while
Samson made sport.
07-17:2 And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred
shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about
which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is
with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son.
07-19:22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold,
the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master
of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine
house, that we may know him.
07-20:5 And the men of Gibeah rose against me, and beset the
house round about upon me by night, and thought
to have slain me: and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead.
07-20:29 And Israel set liers in wait round about Gibeah.
07-20:31 And the children of Benjamin went out against the
people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began to smite of the
people, and kill, as at other times, in the highways, of which one goeth up to
the house of God, and the other to Gibeah in the field, about thirty men of Israel.
07-20:39 And when the men of Israel retired in the battle,
Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about
thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us,
as in the first battle.
07-20:43 Thus they inclosed the Benjamites round about, and chased them, and trode them down with ease
over against Gibeah toward the sunrising.
08-1:4 And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the
name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they
dwelled there about ten years.
08-1:19 So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it
came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?
08-2:17 So she gleaned in the field until even, and beat out
that she had gleaned: and it was about an
ephah of barley.
09-1:20 Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son,
and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.
09-4:2 And the Philistines put themselves in array against
Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was smitten before the
Philistines: and they slew of the army in the field about four thousand men.
09-4:20 And about the time of
her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast
borne a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it.
09-5:8 They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the
Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of
Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God
of Israel about thither.
09-5:9 And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with
a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small
and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts.
09-5:10 Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it
came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out,
saying, They have brought about the ark of the
God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people.
09-9:13 As soon as ye be come into the city, ye shall
straightway find him, before he go up to the high place to eat: for the
people will not eat until he come, because he doth bless the sacrifice; and
afterwards they eat that be bidden. Now therefore get you up; for about this time ye shall find him.
09-9:16 To morrow about this
time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint
him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the
hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their
cry is come unto me.
09-9:22 And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them
into the parlour, and made them sit in the chiefest place among them that were
bidden, which were about thirty persons.
09-9:26 And they arose early: and it came to pass about the spring of the day, that Samuel called Saul
to the top of the house, saying, Up, that I may send thee away. And Saul arose,
and they went out both of them, he and Samuel, abroad.
09-13:15 And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto
Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.
09-14:2 And Saul tarried in the uttermost part of Gibeah under
a pomegranate tree which is in Migron: and the people that were with him
were about six hundred men;
09-14:14 And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his
armourbearer made, was about twenty men, within
as it were an half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow.
09-14:21 Moreover the Hebrews that were with the Philistines
before that time, which went up with them into the camp from the country round about, even they also turned to be with the Israelites
that were with Saul and Jonathan.
09-15:12 And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the
morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set
him up a place, and is gone about, and passed
on, and gone down to Gilgal.
09-15:27 And as Samuel turned about
to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.
09-17:42 And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a
youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.
09-20:12 And Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel,
when I have sounded my father about to morrow
any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I
then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;
09-21:5 And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a
truth women have been kept from us about these
three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and
the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the
vessel.
09-22:2 And every one that was in distress, and every one that
was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him;
and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
09-22:6 When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men
that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his
spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about
him;)
09-22:7 Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of
Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of
thousands, and captains of hundreds;
09-22:17 And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD;
because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and
did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their
hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
09-23:13 Then David and his men, which were about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah,
and went whithersoever they could go. And it was told Saul that David was
escaped from Keilah; and he forbare to go forth.
09-23:26 And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David
and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get
away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them.
09-25:13 And David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his sword.
And they girded on every man his sword; and David also girded on his sword:
and there went up after David about four hundred
men; and two hundred abode by the stuff.
09-25:38 And it came to pass about
ten days after, that the LORD smote Nabal, that he died.
09-26:5 And David arose, and came to the place where Saul had
pitched: and David beheld the place where Saul lay, and Abner the son of
Ner, the captain of his host: and Saul lay in the trench, and the people
pitched round about him.
09-26:7 So David and Abishai came to the people by night:
and, behold, Saul lay sleeping within the trench, and his spear stuck in the
ground at his bolster: but Abner and the people lay round about him.
09-31:9 And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armour,
and sent into the land of the Philistines round about,
to publish it in the house of their idols, and among the people.
10-3:12 And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf,
saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make thy league with me, and, behold,
my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all
Israel unto thee.
10-4:5 And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and
Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day
to the house of Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.
10-5:9 So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of
David. And David built round about from Millo
and inward.
10-7:1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house,
and the LORD had given him rest round about from
all his enemies;
10-14:20 To fetch about this
form of speech hath thy servant Joab done this thing: and my lord is
wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are
in the earth.
10-18:15 And ten young men that bare Joab’s armour compassed about and smote Absalom, and slew him.
10-20:26 And Ira also the Jairite was a chief ruler about David.
10-22:6 The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;
10-22:12 And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
10-24:6 Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of
Tahtimhodshi; and they came to Danjaan, and about
to Zidon,
11-2:5 Moreover thou knowest also what Joab the son of
Zeruiah did to me, and what he did to the two captains of the hosts of Israel,
unto Abner the son of Ner, and unto Amasa the son of Jether, whom he slew, and
shed the blood of war in peace, and put the blood of war upon his girdle that
was about his loins, and in his shoes that were
on his feet.
11-2:15 And he said, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine,
and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign: howbeit
the kingdom is turned about, and is become my
brother’s: for it was his from the LORD.
11-3:1 And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt,
and took Pharaoh’s daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he
had made an end of building his own house, and the house of the LORD, and the
wall of Jerusalem round about.
11-4:24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side
the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the
river: and he had peace on all sides round about
him.
11-4:31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the
Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his
fame was in all nations round about.
11-5:3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build
an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under
the soles of his feet.
11-6:5 And against the wall of the house he built chambers
round about, against the walls of the house
round about, both of the temple and of the
oracle: and he made chambers round about:
11-6:6 The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the
middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for
without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the
walls of the house.
11-6:29 And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees
and open flowers, within and without.
11-7:12 And the great court round about
was with three rows of hewed stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the
inner court of the house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.
11-7:15 For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits
high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about.
11-7:18 And he made the pillars, and two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the chapiters
that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and so did he for the other
chapiter.
11-7:20 And the chapiters upon the two pillars had
pomegranates also above, over against the belly which was by the network:
and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows round about
upon the other chapiter.
11-7:23 And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim
to the other: it was round all about, and
his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it
round about.
11-7:24 And under the brim of it round about there were knops compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing
the sea round about: the knops were cast
in two rows, when it was cast.
11-7:36 For on the plates of the ledges thereof, and on the
borders thereof, he graved cherubims, lions, and palm trees, according to the
proportion of every one, and additions round about.
11-8:14 And the king turned his face about,
and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of
Israel stood;)
11-18:32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of
the LORD: and he made a trench about the
altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
11-18:35 And the water ran round about
the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.
11-19:2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So
let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one
of them by to morrow about this time.
11-20:6 Yet I will send my servants unto thee to morrow about this time, and they shall search thine house,
and the houses of thy servants; and it shall be, that whatsoever is pleasant in
thine eyes, they shall put it in their hand, and take it away.
11-22:6 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets
together, about four hundred men, and said unto
them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they
said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
11-22:36 And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to
his city, and every man to his own country.
12-1:8 And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt
with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he
said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
12-3:25 And they beat down the cities, and on every good piece
of land cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells
of water, and felled all the good trees: only in Kirharaseth left they
the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about
it, and smote it.
12-4:16 And he said, About this
season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said,
Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.
12-6:14 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a
great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.
12-6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open
his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he
saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire
round about Elisha.
12-7:1 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus
saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall
a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a
shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
12-7:18 And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to
the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine
flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about
this time in the gate of Samaria:
12-8:21 So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with
him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and
the people fled into their tents.
12-11:7 And two parts of all you that go forth on the sabbath,
even they shall keep the watch of the house of the LORD about the king.
12-11:8 And ye shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand:
and he that cometh within the ranges, let him be slain: and be ye with
the king as he goeth out and as he cometh in.
12-11:11 And the guard stood, every man with his weapons in his
hand, round about the king, from the right corner
of the temple to the left corner of the temple, along by the altar and the
temple.
12-17:15 And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that
he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against
them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen
that were round about them, concerning whom the
LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.
12-23:5 And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings
of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of
Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem;
them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to
the planets, and to all the host of heaven.
12-25:1 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in
the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of
Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it:
and they built forts against it round about.
12-25:4 And the city was broken up, and all the men of war
fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king’s
garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the
plain.
12-25:10 And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the
captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.
12-25:17 The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and
the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three
cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had
the second pillar with wreathen work.
13-4:33 And all their villages that were round about the same cities, unto Baal. These were their
habitations, and their genealogy.
13-6:55 And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and
the suburbs thereof round about it.
13-9:27 And they lodged round about
the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof
every morning pertained to them.
13-10:9 And when they had stripped him, they took his head,
and his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to carry tidings unto their idols, and to the
people.
13-11:8 And he built the city round about,
even from Millo round about: and Joab
repaired the rest of the city.
13-15:22 And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song:
he instructed about the song, because he was
skilful.
13-18:17 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the
Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
13-22:9 Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a
man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I
will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
13-28:12 And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of
the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of
the treasuries of the dedicated things:
14-2:9 Even to prepare me timber in abundance: for the
house which I am about to build shall be
wonderful great.
14-4:2 Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to
brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of
thirty cubits did compass it round about.
14-4:3 And under it was the similitude of oxen, which did
compass it round about: ten in a cubit,
compassing the sea round about. Two rows of oxen
were cast, when it was cast.
14-13:13 But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah,
and the ambushment was behind them.
14-14:7 Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these
cities, and make about them walls, and towers,
gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the
LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So
they built and prospered.
14-14:14 And they smote all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them:
and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them.
14-15:15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they
had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he
was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.
14-17:9 And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law
of the LORD with them, and went about throughout
all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
14-17:10 And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of
the lands that were round about Judah, so that
they made no war against Jehoshaphat.
14-18:31 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots
saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they
compassed about him to fight: but
Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart
from him.
14-18:34 And the battle increased that day: howbeit the
king of Israel stayed himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the
even: and about the time of the sun going
down he died.
14-20:30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his
God gave him rest round about.
14-23:2 And they went about in
Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and the chief
of the fathers of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem.
14-23:7 And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and
whosoever else cometh into the house, he shall be put to death: but be
ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.
14-23:10 And he set all the people, every man having his weapon
in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple,
along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about.
14-26:6 And he went forth and warred against the Philistines,
and brake down the wall of Gath, and the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of
Ashdod, and built cities about Ashdod, and among
the Philistines.
14-33:14 Now after this he built a wall without the city of
David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the
fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised
it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of
Judah.
14-34:6 And so did he in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim,
and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, with their mattocks round about.
15-1:6 And all they that were about
them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods,
and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly
offered.
15-10:15 Only Jonathan the son of Asahel and Jahaziah the son
of Tikvah were employed about this matter:
and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite helped them.
16-5:17 Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty
of the Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen
that are about us.
16-6:16 And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard
thereof, and all the heathen that were about us
saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they
perceived that this work was wrought of our God.
16-12:28 And the sons of the singers gathered themselves
together, both out of the plain country round about
Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;
16-12:29 Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields
of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.
16-13:21 Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why
lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I
will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.
18-1:5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were
gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them,
and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the
number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned,
and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
18-1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about
him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast
blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
18-8:17 His roots are wrapped about
the heap, and seeth the place of stones.
18-10:8 Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round
about; yet thou dost destroy me.
18-11:18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea,
thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take
thy rest in safety.
18-16:13 His archers compass me round about,
he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon
the ground.
18-19:12 His troops come together, and raise up their way
against me, and encamp round about my
tabernacle.
18-20:23 When he is about to
fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain
it upon him while he is eating.
18-22:10 Therefore snares are round about
thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
18-29:5 When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children
were about me;
18-30:18 By the great force of my disease is my garment changed:
it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.
18-37:12 And it is turned round about
by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the
face of the world in the earth.
18-40:22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the
willows of the brook compass him about.
18-41:14 Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are
terrible round about.
19-3:6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that
have set themselves against me round about.
19-7:7 So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on
high.
19-17:9 From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly
enemies, who compass me about.
19-18:5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
19-18:11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the
skies.
19-27:6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine
enemies round about me: therefore will I
offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing
praises unto the LORD.
19-32:7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from
trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs
of deliverance. Selah.
19-32:10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he
that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
19-34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
19-40:12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me,
so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head:
therefore my heart faileth me.
19-44:13 Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn
and a derision to them that are round about us.
19-48:12 Walk about Zion, and go
round about her: tell the towers thereof.
19-49:5 Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the
iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?
19-50:3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence:
a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
19-55:10 Day and night they go about
it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of
it.
19-59:6 They return at evening: they make a noise like
a dog, and go round about the city.
19-59:14 And at evening let them return; and let them make a
noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
19-73:6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
19-76:11 Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all
that be round about him bring presents unto him
that ought to be feared.
19-78:28 And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.
19-79:3 Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.
19-79:4 We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn
and derision to them that are round about us.
19-88:17 They came round about
me daily like water; they compassed me about
together.
19-89:7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the
saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
19-89:8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto
thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
19-97:2 Clouds and darkness are round about
him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.
19-97:3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies
round about.
19-109:3 They compassed me about
also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
19-118:10 All nations compassed me about:
but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.
19-118:11 They compassed me about;
yea, they compassed me about: but in the
name of the LORD I will destroy them.
19-118:12 They compassed me about
like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of
the LORD I will destroy them.
19-125:2 As the mountains are round about
Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people
from henceforth even for ever.
19-128:3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of
thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
19-139:11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the
night shall be light about me.
19-140:9 As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
19-142:7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy
name: the righteous shall compass me about;
for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
20-1:9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head,
and chains about thy neck.
20-3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them
about thy neck; write them upon the table of
thine heart:
20-6:21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
20-20:19 He that goeth about as
a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that
flattereth with his lips.
21-1:6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again
according to his circuits.
21-2:20 Therefore I went about
to cause my heart to despair of all the labour which I took under the sun.
21-12:5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which
is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall
flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail:
because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:
22-3:2 I will rise now, and go about
the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul
loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
22-3:3 The watchmen that go about
the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul
loveth?
22-3:7 Behold his bed, which is Solomon’s; threescore
valiant men are about it, of the valiant of
Israel.
22-5:7 The watchmen that went about
the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls
took away my veil from me.
22-7:2 Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth
not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.
23-3:18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their
tinkling ornaments about their feet, and
their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,
23-15:8 For the cry is gone round about
the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof
unto Beerelim.
23-23:16 Take an harp, go about
the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many
songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
23-26:20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and
shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself
as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
23-28:27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing
instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about
upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin
with a rod.
23-29:3 And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount,
and I will raise forts against thee.
23-42:25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his
anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid
it not to heart.
23-49:18 Lift up thine eyes round about,
and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to
thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them
all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.
23-50:11 Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves
about with sparks: walk in the light
of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have
of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.
23-60:4 Lift up thine eyes round about,
and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee:
thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
24-1:15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms
of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one
his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls
thereof round about, and against all the cities
of Judah.
24-2:36 Why gaddest thou about
so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast
ashamed of Assyria.
24-4:17 As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me,
saith the LORD.
24-6:3 The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her;
they shall pitch their tents against her round about;
they shall feed every one in his place.
24-12:9 Mine heritage is unto me as a speckled
bird, the birds round about are against
her; come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, come to devour.
24-14:18 If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain
with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick
with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about
into a land that they know not.
24-17:26 And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from
the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of
Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south,
bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat offerings, and incense, and
bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the LORD.
24-21:14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your
doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof,
and it shall devour all things round about it.
24-25:9 Behold, I will send and take all the families of the
north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and
will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and
against all these nations round about, and will
utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and
perpetual desolations.
24-31:22 How long wilt thou go about,
O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the
earth, A woman shall compass a man.
24-31:39 And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against
it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about
to Goath.
24-32:44 Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe
evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin,
and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the
cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the
valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity
to return, saith the LORD.
24-33:13 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the
vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the
places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of
Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them,
saith the LORD.
24-41:14 So all the people that Ishmael had carried away
captive from Mizpah cast about and returned, and
went unto Johanan the son of Kareah.
24-46:5 Wherefore have I seen them dismayed and turned
away back? and their mighty ones are beaten down, and are fled apace, and look
not back: for fear was round about,
saith the LORD.
24-46:14 Declare ye in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and
publish in Noph and in Tahpanhes: say ye, Stand fast, and prepare thee;
for the sword shall devour round about thee.
24-48:17 All ye that are about
him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff
broken, and the beautiful rod!
24-48:39 They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down!
how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a
dismaying to all them about him.
24-49:5 Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord
GOD of hosts, from all those that be about thee;
and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall gather up him
that wandereth.
24-50:14 Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her,
spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the LORD.
24-50:15 Shout against her round about:
she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are
thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take
vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
24-50:29 Call together the archers against Babylon: all
ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about;
let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according
to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against
the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.
24-50:32 And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none
shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall
devour all round about him.
24-51:2 And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan
her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be
against her round about.
24-52:4 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in
the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar
king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched
against it, and built forts against it round about.
24-52:7 Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war
fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between
the two walls, which was by the king’s garden; (now the Chaldeans were
by the city round about:) and they
went by the way of the plain.
24-52:14 And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with
the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.
24-52:22 And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the
height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates
upon the chapiters round about, all of brass.
The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.
24-52:23 And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; and
all the pomegranates upon the network were an hundred round about.
25-1:17 Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none
to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his
adversaries should be round about him:
Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.
25-2:3 He hath cut off in his fierce anger all the
horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy,
and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, which devoureth round about.
25-2:22 Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD’S anger none
escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath
mine enemy consumed.
25-3:7 He hath hedged me about,
that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.
26-1:4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the
north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour
of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
26-1:18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were
dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
26-1:27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of
fire round about within it, from the appearance
of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I
saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
26-1:28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in
the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness
of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I
heard a voice of one that spake.
26-4:2 And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it,
and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering
rams against it round about.
26-5:2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of
the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take
a third part, and smite about it with a
knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw
out a sword after them.
26-5:5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem:
I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.
26-5:6 And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more
than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round
about her: for they have refused my
judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.
26-5:7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye
multiplied more than the nations that are round about
you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments,
neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round
about you;
26-5:12 A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence,
and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third
part shall fall by the sword round about thee;
and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword
after them.
26-5:14 Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among
the nations that are round about thee, in
the sight of all that pass by.
26-5:15 So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction
and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in
anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.
26-6:5 And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of
Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
26-6:13 Then shall ye know that I am the LORD, when
their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the
mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place
where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.
26-8:10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of
creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of
Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.
26-8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S
house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch
and the altar, were about five and twenty
men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the
east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
26-10:12 And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands,
and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
26-11:12 And ye shall know that I am the LORD:
for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have
done after the manners of the heathen that are round about you.
26-12:14 And I will scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will
draw out the sword after them.
26-16:10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee
with badgers’ skin, and I girded thee about with
fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
26-16:37 Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with
whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with
all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness
unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
26-16:57 Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time
of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round
about her, the daughters of the Philistines,
which despise thee round about.
26-23:24 And they shall come against thee with chariots,
wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly of people, which shall set
against thee buckler and shield and helmet round about:
and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to
their judgments.
26-27:11 The men of Arvad with thine army were upon thy
walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy
towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have made thy beauty perfect.
26-28:24 And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the
house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know
that I am the Lord GOD.
26-28:26 And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build
houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have
executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the
LORD their God.
26-31:4 The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high
with her rivers running round about his plants,
and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.
26-32:22 Asshur is there and all her company: his
graves are about him: all of them
slain, fallen by the sword:
26-32:23 Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her
company is round about her grave: all of
them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living.
26-32:24 There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the
sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth,
which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their
shame with them that go down to the pit.
26-32:25 They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with
all her multitude: her graves are round about
him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror
was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them
that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that be slain.
26-32:26 There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude:
her graves are round about him:
all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror
in the land of the living.
26-34:26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower
to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
26-36:4 Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of
the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to
the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that
are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen
that are round about;
26-36:7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up
mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about
you, they shall bear their shame.
26-36:36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places,
and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and
I will do it.
26-37:2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many
in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
26-40:5 And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man’s hand a measuring reed of six
cubits long by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the
breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.
26-40:14 He made also posts of threescore cubits, even unto the
post of the court round about the gate.
26-40:16 And there were narrow windows to the little
chambers, and to their posts within the gate round about,
and likewise to the arches: and windows were round about inward: and upon each post were
palm trees.
26-40:17 Then brought he me into the outward court, and, lo, there
were chambers, and a pavement made for the court round about: thirty chambers were upon the pavement.
26-40:25 And there were windows in it and in the arches
thereof round about, like those windows:
the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.
26-40:29 And the little chambers thereof, and the posts
thereof, and the arches thereof, according to these measures: and there
were windows in it and in the arches thereof round about:
it was fifty cubits long, and five and twenty cubits broad.
26-40:30 And the arches round about
were five and twenty cubits long, and five cubits broad.
26-40:33 And the little chambers thereof, and the posts
thereof, and the arches thereof, were according to these measures:
and there were windows therein and in the arches thereof round about: it was fifty cubits long, and
five and twenty cubits broad.
26-40:36 The little chambers thereof, the posts thereof, and
the arches thereof, and the windows to it round about:
the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.
26-40:43 And within were hooks, an hand broad, fastened
round about: and upon the tables was the
flesh of the offering.
26-41:5 After he measured the wall of the house, six cubits;
and the breadth of every side chamber, four cubits, round about the house on every side.
26-41:6 And the side chambers were three, one over
another, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which was of
the house for the side chambers round about,
that they might have hold, but they had not hold in the wall of the house.
26-41:7 And there was an enlarging, and a winding about still upward to the side chambers: for
the winding about of the house went still upward
round about the house: therefore the
breadth of the house was still upward, and so increased from the
lowest chamber to the highest by the midst.
26-41:8 I saw also the height of the house round about: the foundations of the side chambers were
a full reed of six great cubits.
26-41:10 And between the chambers was the wideness of
twenty cubits round about the house on every
side.
26-41:11 And the doors of the side chambers were toward the
place that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the
south: and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits
round about.
26-41:12 Now the building that was before the separate
place at the end toward the west was seventy cubits broad; and the wall
of the building was five cubits thick round about,
and the length thereof ninety cubits.
26-41:16 The door posts, and the narrow windows, and the
galleries round about on their three stories,
over against the door, cieled with wood round about,
and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows were covered;
26-41:17 To that above the door, even unto the inner house, and
without, and by all the wall round about within
and without, by measure.
26-41:19 So that the face of a man was toward the palm
tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the
other side: it was made through all the house round about.
26-42:15 Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner
house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the
east, and measured it round about.
26-42:16 He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five
hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.
26-42:17 He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with
the measuring reed round about.
26-42:19 He turned about to the
west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
26-42:20 He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall
round about, five hundred reeds long, and
five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane
place.
26-43:12 This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the
mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall
be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.
26-43:13 And these are the measures of the altar after
the cubits: The cubit is a cubit and an hand breadth; even the
bottom shall be a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof
by the edge thereof round about shall be a
span: and this shall be the higher place of the altar.
26-43:17 And the settle shall be fourteen cubits long
and fourteen broad in the four squares thereof; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and the bottom
thereof shall be a cubit about; and his
stairs shall look toward the east.
26-43:20 And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it
on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon
the border round about: thus shalt thou
cleanse and purge it.
26-45:1 Moreover, when ye shall divide by lot the land for
inheritance, ye shall offer an oblation unto the LORD, an holy portion of the
land: the length shall be the length of five and twenty thousand reeds,
and the breadth shall be ten thousand. This shall be holy in
all the borders thereof round about.
26-45:2 Of this there shall be for the sanctuary five hundred in
length, with five hundred in breadth, square round about; and fifty cubits round about
for the suburbs thereof.
26-46:23 And there was a row of building round about in them, round about
them four, and it was made with boiling places under the rows round about.
26-47:2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate
northward, and led me about the way without unto
the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out
waters on the right side.
26-48:35 It was round
about eighteen thousand measures: and
the name of the city from that day shall be, The LORD is there.
27-5:7 The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the
Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise
men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation
thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the
kingdom.
27-5:16 And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make
interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the
writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed
with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about
thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.
27-5:29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel
with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about
his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third
ruler in the kingdom.
27-5:31 And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.
27-9:16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech
thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy
holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our
fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that
are about us.
27-9:21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the
man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to
fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the
evening oblation.
28-7:2 And they consider not in their hearts that I
remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
28-11:12 Ephraim compasseth me about
with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth
with God, and is faithful with the saints.
29-3:11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and
gather yourselves together round about:
thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.
29-3:12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley
of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
30-3:11 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there
shall be even round about the land; and he
shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.
32-2:3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of
the seas; and the floods compassed me about:
all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
32-2:5 The waters compassed me about,
even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about
my head.
32-2:6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth
with her bars was about me for ever:
yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
34-3:8 Art thou better than populous No, that was situate
among the rivers, that had the waters round about
it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the
sea?
35-1:4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never
go forth: for the wicked doth compass about
the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
38-2:5 For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire
round about, and will be the glory in the midst
of her.
38-7:7 Should ye not
hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when
Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the
plain?
38-9:8 And I will encamp about
mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of
him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more:
for now have I seen with mine eyes.
38-12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto
all the people round about, when they shall be
in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
38-12:6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an
hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they
shall devour all the people round about, on the
right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in
her own place, even in Jerusalem.
38-14:14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the
wealth of all the heathen round about shall be
gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
40-1:11 And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:
40-3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and
a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat
was locusts and wild honey.
40-3:5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and
all the region round about Jordan,
40-4:23 And Jesus went about
all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the
kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the
people.
40-8:18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the
other side.
40-9:22 But Jesus turned him about,
and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made
thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
40-9:35 And Jesus went about
all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the
gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the
people.
40-14:21 And they that had eaten were about
five thousand men, beside women and children.
40-14:35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him,
they sent out into all that country round about,
and brought unto him all that were diseased;
40-18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which
believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the
depth of the sea.
40-20:3 And he went out about
the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
40-20:5 Again he went out about
the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
40-20:6 And about the eleventh
hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why
stand ye here all the day idle?
40-20:9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a
penny.
40-21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain
householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a
tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
40-27:46 And about the ninth
hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is
to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
41-1:6 And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and with a
girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat
locusts and wild honey;
41-1:28 And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all
the region round about Galilee.
41-2:2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch
that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto
them.
41-3:5 And when he had looked round about
on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto
the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and
his hand was restored whole as the other.
41-3:8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond
Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great
multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
41-3:32 And the multitude sat about
him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek
for thee.
41-3:34 And he looked round about
on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my
mother and my brethren!
41-4:10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
41-5:13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean
spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently
down a steep place into the sea, (they were about
two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
41-5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue
had gone out of him, turned him about in the
press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
41-5:32 And he looked round about
to see her that had done this thing.
41-6:6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he
went round about the villages, teaching.
41-6:36 Send them away, that they may go into the country
round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves
bread: for they have nothing to eat.
41-6:44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.
41-6:48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was
contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch
of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed
by them.
41-6:55 And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about
in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.
41-8:9 And they that had eaten were about
four thousand: and he sent them away.
41-8:33 But when he had turned about
and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me,
Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things
that be of men.
41-9:8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with
themselves.
41-9:14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a
great multitude about them, and the scribes
questioning with them.
41-9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little
ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
41-10:23 And Jesus looked round about,
and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into
the kingdom of God!
41-11:11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple:
and when he had looked round about upon all
things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the
twelve.
41-12:1 And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain
man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about
it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and
let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
41-14:51 And there followed him a certain young man, having a
linen cloth cast about his naked body;
and the young men laid hold on him:
41-15:17 And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown
of thorns, and put it about his head,
42-1:56 And Mary abode with her about
three months, and returned to her own house.
42-1:65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised
abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.
42-2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the
glory of the Lord shone round about them:
and they were sore afraid.
42-2:37 And she was a widow of about
fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God
with fastings and prayers night and day.
42-2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me?
wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s
business?
42-3:3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for
the remission of sins;
42-3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about
thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the
son of Heli,
42-4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into
Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
42-4:37 And the fame of him went out into every place of the
country round about.
42-6:10 And looking round about
upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so:
and his hand was restored whole as the other.
42-7:9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him,
and turned him about, and said unto the people
that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in
Israel.
42-7:17 And this rumour of him went forth throughout all
Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.
42-8:37 Then the whole multitude of the country of the
Gadarenes round about besought him to depart
from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the
ship, and returned back again.
42-8:42 For he had one only daughter, about
twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged
him.
42-9:12 And when the day began to wear away, then came the
twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the
towns and country round about, and lodge, and
get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.
42-9:14 For they were about
five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties
in a company.
42-9:28 And it came to pass about
an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went
up into a mountain to pray.
42-10:40 But Martha was cumbered about
much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my
sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
42-10:41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha,
thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42-12:35 Let your loins be girded about,
and your lights burning;
42-13:8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone
this year also, till I shall dig about it, and
dung it:
42-17:2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he
should offend one of these little ones.
42-19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies
shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee
round, and keep thee in on every side,
42-22:41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42-22:49 When they which were about
him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the
sword?
42-22:59 And about the space of
one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also
was with him: for he is a Galilaean.
42-23:44 And it was about the
sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
42-24:13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a
village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about
threescore furlongs.
43-1:39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw
where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
43-3:25 Then there arose a question between some of
John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.
43-4:6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being
wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was
about the sixth hour.
43-6:10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was
much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
43-6:19 So when they had rowed about
five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and
drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.
43-7:14 Now about the midst of
the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
43-7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of
you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
43-7:20 The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil:
who goeth about to kill thee?
43-10:24 Then came the Jews round about
him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the
Christ, tell us plainly.
43-11:18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:
43-11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot
with graveclothes: and his face was bound about
with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
43-19:14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the
Jews, Behold your King!
43-19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came
to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
43-20:7 And the napkin, that was about
his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by
itself.
43-21:20 Then Peter, turning about,
seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast
at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
44-1:15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the
disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
44-2:10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of
Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews
and proselytes,
44-2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:
and the same day there were added unto them about
three thousand souls.
44-3:3 Who seeing Peter and John about
to go into the temple asked an alms.
44-4:4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed;
and the number of the men was about five
thousand.
44-5:7 And it was about the
space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
44-5:16 There came also a multitude out of the cities
round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks,
and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed
every one.
44-5:36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting
himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about
four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as
obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.
44-9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and
suddenly there shined round about him a light
from heaven:
44-9:29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and
disputed against the Grecians: but they went about
to slay him.
44-10:3 He saw in a vision evidently about
the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto
him, Cornelius.
44-10:9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew
nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
44-10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost
and with power: who went about doing
good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
44-11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the
persecution that arose about Stephen travelled
as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto
the Jews only.
44-12:1 Now about that time Herod
the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.
44-12:8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on
thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.
44-13:11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon
thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately
there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about
seeking some to lead him by the hand.
44-13:18 And about the time of
forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.
44-13:20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until
Samuel the prophet.
44-14:6 They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and
Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:
44-14:20 Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city:
and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
44-15:2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small
dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas,
and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and
elders about this question.
44-18:14 And when Paul was now about
to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of
wrong or wicked lewdness, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear
with you:
44-19:7 And all the men were about
twelve.
44-19:23 And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.
44-19:34 But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one
voice about the space of two hours cried out,
Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
44-20:3 And there abode three months. And when the Jews
laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into
Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
44-21:31 And as they went about
to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all
Jerusalem was in an uproar.
44-22:6 And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and
was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly
there shone from heaven a great light round about
me.
44-24:6 Who also hath gone about
to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to
our law.
44-25:7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from
Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and
grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.
44-25:15 About
whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews
informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.
44-25:24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are
here present with us, ye see this man, about
whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also
here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
44-26:13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from
heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about
me and them which journeyed with me.
44-26:21 For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and
went about to kill me.
44-27:27 But when the fourteenth night was come, as we were
driven up and down in Adria, about midnight the
shipmen deemed that they drew near to some country;
44-27:30 And as the shipmen were about
to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under
colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,
45-4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own
body now dead, when he was about an hundred
years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:
45-10:3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and
going about to establish their own
righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
45-15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the
Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about
unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
46-9:5 Have we not power to lead about
a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the
Lord, and Cephas?
46-9:13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the
temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
47-4:10 Always bearing about in
the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made
manifest in our body.
49-4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed
to and fro, and carried about with every wind of
doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they
lie in wait to deceive;
49-6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of
righteousness;
54-5:13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers
also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
54-6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh
envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
55-2:14 Of these things put them in remembrance,
charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting
of the hearers.
56-3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and
contentions, and strivings about the law; for
they are unprofitable and vain.
58-8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly
things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about
to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all
things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
58-9:4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the
covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein
was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the
tables of the covenant;
58-11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they
were compassed about seven days.
58-11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were
tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute,
afflicted, tormented;
58-12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay
aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let
us run with patience the race that is set before us,
58-13:9 Be not carried about
with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart
be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that
have been occupied therein.
59-3:3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they
may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
59-3:4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so
great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the
governor listeth.
60-5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the
devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking
whom he may devour:
65-1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to
fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example,
suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
65-1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the
devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst
not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
65-1:12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they
feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without
water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit
withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
66-1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like
unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
66-4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a
sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
66-4:4 And round about the
throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four
and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads
crowns of gold.
66-4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass
like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes
before and behind.
66-4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes
within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord
God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
66-5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels
round about the throne and the beasts and the
elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and
thousands of thousands;
66-7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the
elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped
God,
66-8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was
silence in heaven about the space of half an
hour.
66-10:4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices,
I was about to write: and I heard a voice
from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders
uttered, and write them not.
66-16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every
stone about the weight of a talent:
and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof
was exceeding great.
66-20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and
compassed the camp of the saints about, and the
beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured
them.
