01-GENESIS
01-1:26 And
God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the
air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing
that creepeth upon the earth.
01-5:1 This
is the book of the generations of
Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness
of God made he him;
01-5:3 And
Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his
image; and called his name Seth:
02-EXODUS
02-20:4 Thou
shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness
of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
05-4:16 Lest
ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a
graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness
of male or female,
05-4:17 The
likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any
winged fowl that flieth in the air,
05-4:18 The
likeness of any thing that creepeth on the
ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
05-4:23 Take
heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which
he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath
forbidden thee.
05-4:25 When
thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained
long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves,
and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing,
and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to
anger:
05-5:8 Thou
shalt not make thee any graven image,
or any likeness
of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
19-17:15 As
for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I
awake, with thy likeness.
23-40:18 To
whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness
will ye compare unto him?
26-1:5 Also
out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
26-1:10 As
for the likeness of their faces, they four had
the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had
the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
26-1:13 As
for the likeness of the living creatures, their
appearance was like burning coals of
fire, and like the appearance of
lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright,
and out of the fire went forth lightning.
26-1:16 The
appearance of the wheels and their work was
like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of
a wheel.
26-1:22 And
the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of
the living creature was as the colour
of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
26-1:26 And
above the firmament that was over their
heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and
upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness
as the appearance of a man above upon it.
26-1:28 As
the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness
round about. This was the appearance
of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And
when I saw it, I fell upon my face,
and I heard a voice of one that spake.
26-8:2 Then
I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of
fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins
even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber.
26-10:1 Then
I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the
cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the
appearance of the likeness of a throne.
26-10:10 And
as for their appearances, they four
had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the
midst of a wheel.
26-10:21 Every
one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
26-10:22 And
the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their
appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.
44-14:11 And
when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in
the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
45-6:5 For
if we have been planted together in the likeness
of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his
resurrection:
45-8:3 For
what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending
his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and
for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
50-2:7 But
made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was
made in the likeness of men:

selvedge in the coupling; and likewise shalt

likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars and
their twenty sockets of brass; the
hooks of the pillars and their fillets of
silver.

he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain from the selvedge in the
coupling: likewise he made in the uttermost side
of another curtain, in the coupling
of the second.
03-7:1 Likewise this is
the law of the trespass offering: it is
most holy.
05-9:23 Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea,
saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled
against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor
hearkened to his voice.
05-12:30 Take
heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be
destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying,
How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
05-15:17 Then
thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through
his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy
maidservant thou shalt do likewise.
05-22:3 In
like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment;

found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not
hide thyself.
07-1:3 And
Judah said unto Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may
fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise
will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.
07-7:5 So
he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every
one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou
set by himself; likewise every one that boweth

he went up thence to Penuel, and spake unto them likewise:
and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered him.
07-9:49 And
all the people likewise cut down every man his
bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them
to the hold, and set the hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of the
tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.
09-14:22 Likewise all the men of Israel which had hid
themselves in mount Ephraim, when they
heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the
battle.
09-19:21 And
when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third
time, and they prophesied also.
09-31:5 And
when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise
upon his sword, and died with him.
10-1:11 Then
David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise
all the men that were with him:
10-17:5 Then
said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he saith.
11-11:8 And
likewise did he for all his strange wives, which
burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.
13-10:5 And
when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise
on the sword, and died.
13-18:8 Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of

sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
13-19:15 And
when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, they likewise fled before Abishai his brother, and entered
into the city. Then Joab came to Jerusalem.
13-23:30 And
to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even;
13-24:31 These
likewise cast lots over against their brethren
the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech,
and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal
fathers over against their younger brethren.

over the course of the second month was Dodai
an Ahohite, and of his course was Mikloth
also the ruler: in his course likewise were twenty and four thousand.
13-28:16 And
by weight he gave gold for the tables
of shewbread, for every table; and likewise silver for the tables of silver:
13-28:17 Also
pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden
basons he gave gold by weight for

all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise
of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.
14-3:11 And

cubits long: one wing of the one cherub

cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
14-29:22 So
they killed the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled it on the altar: likewise, when they had killed the rams, they sprinkled the blood
upon the altar: they killed also the lambs, and they sprinkled the blood upon
the altar.
16-4:22 Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let
every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may
be a guard to us, and labour on the day.
16-5:10 I
likewise, and
my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray
you, let us leave off this usury.
17-1:18 Likewise shall
the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king’s princes, which
have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall
there arise too much contempt and wrath.
17-4:16 Go,
gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me,
and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will
fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the
king, which is not according to the
law: and if I perish, I perish.
18-31:38 If
my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise
thereof complain;
18-37:6 For
he saith to the snow, Be thou on the
earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the
great rain of his strength.
19-49:10 For
he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and
leave their wealth to others.
19-52:5 God
shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall
take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy
dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
21-7:22 For
oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.
23-30:24 The
oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the
ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and
with the fan.
24-40:11 Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that
the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them
Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;
26-13:17 Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the
daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy
thou against them,
26-40:16 And
there were narrow windows to the
little chambers, and to their posts within the gate round about, and likewise to the arches: and windows were round about inward: and upon each post were palm trees.
26-46:3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the
door of this gate before the LORD in the sabbaths and in the new moons.
34-1:12 Thus
saith the LORD; Though they be quiet,
and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut
down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict
thee no more.
40-17:12 But
I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have
done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise
shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
40-18:35 So
likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto
you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
40-20:5 Again
he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
40-20:10 But
when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and
they likewise received every man a penny.
40-21:30 And
he came to the second, and said likewise. And he
answered and said, I go, sir: and
went not.
40-21:36 Again,
he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
40-22:26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the
seventh.
40-24:33 So
likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things,
know that it is near, even at the
doors.
40-25:17 And
likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
40-26:35 Peter
said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.
40-27:41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,
41-4:16 And
these are they likewise which are sown on stony
ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with
gladness;
41-12:21 And
the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
41-14:31 But
he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee
in any wise. Likewise also said they all.
41-15:31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among
themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
42-2:38 And
she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise
unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in
Jerusalem.
42-3:11 He
answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him
that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
42-3:14 And
the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying,
And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither
accuse any falsely; and be content
with your wages.
42-5:33 And
they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers,
and likewise the
disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?
42-6:31 And
as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
42-10:32 And
likewise a Levite, when he was at the place,
came and looked on him, and passed by
on the other side.
42-10:37 And
he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou
likewise.
42-13:3 I
tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish.
42-13:5 I
tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish.
42-14:33 So
likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh
not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
42-15:7 I
say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in
heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just
persons, which need no repentance.
42-15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence
of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
42-16:25 But
Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good
things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but
now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
42-17:10 So
likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those
things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done
that which was our duty to do.
42-17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did
eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
42-17:31 In
that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let
him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
42-19:19 And
he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five
cities.
42-21:31 So
likewise ye, when ye see these things come to
pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
42-22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which
is shed for you.
42-22:36 Then
said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise
his scrip: and he that hath no sword,
let him sell his garment, and buy one.
43-5:19 Then
answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can
do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever
he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
43-6:11 And
Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the
disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
43-21:13 Jesus
then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
44-3:24 Yea,
and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have
spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
45-1:27 And
likewise also the men, leaving the natural use
of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working
that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their
error which was meet.
45-6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed
unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
45-8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for
we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
45-16:5 Likewise greet the
church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the
firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
46-7:3 Let
the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise
also the wife unto the husband.
46-7:4 The
wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own
body, but the wife.
46-7:22 For
he that is called in the Lord, being a
servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he
that is called, being free, is
Christ’s servant.
46-14:9 So
likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words
easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak
into the air.
48-2:13 And
the other Jews dissembled likewise with him;
insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
51-4:16 And
when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church
of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the
epistle from Laodicea.
54-3:8 Likewise must the
deacons be grave, not doubletongued,
not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
54-5:25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot
be hid.
56-2:3 The
aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not
given to much wine, teachers of good things;
56-2:6 Young
men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
58-2:14 Forasmuch
then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he
might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
59-2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by
works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
60-3:1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the
word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
60-3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto
the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your
prayers be not hindered.
60-4:1 Forasmuch
then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered
in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
60-5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the
elder. Yea, all of you be subject one
to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and
giveth grace to the humble.
65-1:8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil
of dignities.
66-8:12 And
the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the
third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part
of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the
night likewise.

22-SONG
OF
SOLOMON
22-2:16 My
beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies.
22-4:5 Thy
two breasts are like two young roes
that are twins, which feed among the lilies.
22-5:13 His
cheeks are as a bed of spices, as sweet flowers: his lips like lilies,
dropping sweet smelling myrrh.
22-6:2 My
beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the
gardens, and to gather lilies.
22-6:3 I
am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.
22-7:2 Thy
navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.
40-6:28 And
why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies
of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
42-12:27 Consider
the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they
spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed
like one of these.

11-1 KINGS
11-7:19 And
the chapiters that were upon the top
of the pillars were of lily work in the porch, four cubits.
11-7:22 And
upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished.
22-SONG
OF
SOLOMON
22-2:1 I
am the rose of Sharon, and the lily
of the valleys.
22-2:2 As
the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.
28-HOSEA
28-14:5 I
will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily,
and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

23-ISAIAH
23-33:12 And
the people shall be as the burnings
of lime: as
thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.
30-AMOS
30-2:1 Thus
saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn
away the punishment thereof; because
he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

is the law of the house; Upon the top
of the mountain the whole limit thereof round

this is the law of the house.

they turned back and tempted God, and limited

he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To
day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice,

06-JOSHUA
06-2:18 Behold,
when we come into the land, thou
shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the
window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and
thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.
06-2:21 And
she said, According unto your words, so be
it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window.
10-2 SAMUEL
10-8:2 And
he smote Moab, and measured them with a line,
casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to
death, and with one full line to keep alive. And
so the Moabites became David’s
servants, and brought gifts.
11-7:15 For
he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them
about.
11-7:23 And
he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.
12-21:13 And
I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of
Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.
14-4:2 Also
he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and
five cubits the height thereof; and a line of
thirty cubits did compass it round about.
18-38:5 Who
hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
19-19:4 Their
line is gone out through all the earth, and
their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the
sun,
19-78:55 He
cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their
tents.
23-28:10 For
precept must be upon precept, precept
upon precept; line upon line,
line upon line;
here a little, and there a little:
23-28:13 But
the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a
little, and there a little; that they
might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
23-28:17 Judgment
also will I lay to the line, and righteousness
to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the
waters shall overflow the hiding place.
23-34:11 But
the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven
shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness.
23-34:17 And
he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation
to generation shall they dwell therein.
23-44:13 The
carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he
marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with
planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure
of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
24-31:39 And
the measuring line shall yet go forth over
against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath.
25-2:8 The
LORD hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath
stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his
hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament;
they languished together.
26-40:3 And
he brought me thither, and, behold, there
was a man, whose appearance was like
the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in
his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.
26-47:3 And
when the man that had the line in his hand went
forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the
waters; the waters were to the
ancles.
30-7:17 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and
thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and
Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.
38-1:16 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be
built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line
shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.
38-2:1 I
lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.
47-10:16 To
preach the gospel in the regions beyond
you, and not to boast in another
man’s line of things made ready to our hand.
